may i please have gn reader x gwen relationship details? like cute things you notice about her, how she shows affection, or anything else you want to include? thank you in advance!
gwen stacy x reader fluff hcs #2
Tumblr media
a/n: omgggg tysm for reading my wenclair works🥹 I've found that writing is one of the only ways i could express myself as a queer person in a very hom0phobic country, im glad other people also find enjoyment in them!
warnings: none, fluff.
♤♤♤♤
- she was very awkward having you come yo her band practise at first, at least in the early stages of your relationship.
- she ended up playing badly because she couldn't focus with you around.
- it all gets better when she realizes you can't tell the difference anyways and still tell her you think she did great💀
- cuddling with her is never really a "whos the big spoon" question, she prefers to have her face buried in the crook of your neck, so if she's hugging you from behind, or from the front, it doesn't matter.
- when she's feeling protective of you in some days, she'll definitely have your face planted on her chest, trying to hide your body in her arms.
- bad cook gwen !! 🗣🗣 she can make a neat instant noodle though, take it or leave it.
- you took on to learning how to make simple recipe foods when your started dating her, banana pancakes, a decent omelette, and a good ol' fashion pasta. she really loves how much you love making her food, like it's your love language.
-she has a picture of you in her wallet, from your first date. hobie absolutely destroys her with embarrassment while announcing to everyone that gwendy has a special someone she's hiding
- you two lovw thrifting together, theres a pretty crowded and known city in her universe with lots of tourism spots and cool trinket shops, and yet the two of you will always find yourselves in a thrift shop there, choosing clothes for eachother.
- teaching you to play drums (you lasted a week and gave up, neither of you ever mention it again)
- her first tattoo is on the back of her neck, a lyric from a song in the playlist you made for her.
- you have a spider tattoo on your back too, something to remind you of her.
- late night burger dates at the same burger stall by the corner of her apartment, the dude already memories yalls orders too.
- she always loses her jacket or hoodie but never worrying bcs soon enough she'll see that you're wearing it.
- she likes to buy you random things she thinks you'd like, like a sun shaped keychain, a book you've mentioned once, a cat mug that costed her 70$
- she also likes it when you'll randomly intertwine your hands together, you'll be walking together or simply talking and sitting, and you'll have the urge to hold her hands, she'll immediately leane into your touch.

Trystan's reading addiction (a headcanon):
Has a personal library collection of over 1,000 books and treasures them more than he treasures weapons.
Rigorously attends book signings and author meet ups. Is a part of at least three book clubs which is a massive safety hazard because he just gives his name without any reluctance.
Has a soft spot for pirate stories or stories set at sea.
Books are just everywhere in his house. Under the TV stand, on the kitchen counter, on the coffee table. He even has some next to a bunch of towels. Nora freaks out when she discovers a Stephen King novel next to an assortment of skincare products.
Reads like an absolute storm. He finishes books at an insane speed - like he can sit and get through a 500 page book in three hours.
Rereads a lot. His books are not in the best condition. Some are annotated with post-its or uneasy scribbles. Others are torn across the edges or they smell like coffee or faint perfume.
Has to buy at least five more books if he steps out at any given instant. It becomes a riot because Nora's trying to hold all of his literary purchases and he's just walking down the aisle, picking them out like outfits.
He's definitely fancy as frick; must have a glass of wine or a stiff drink because you never read sober.
Travels with books too. Even if it is to the nearest grocery shop. He's also got tons of EPUBs in his phone, which also freaks Nora out and the fact that he pays for additional storage space to put digital prints of his books on his phone.
Constantly references something in his conversation. It's always "Oh this case reminds me of this--" and that's it. Nothing gets done. Nora's listening to Trystan talk on and on about the intricacies of the plot and a dozen literary devices employed in the text and they've already forgotten about the case they had to get to.
Remembers everything he reads but cannot for the love of God remember what month it is.
Supports local libraries by making liberal donations. That's how he meets Sonja Dormer and everyone else. He's always been an avid supporter of local businesses mostly because they don't pass judgemental glances when he brings a cart ton of books to the cashier and Nora going "I suggest you stick around to see because it only takes him eight hours to finish ten books and it is pretty awesome."
Trystan constantly shoving new books at Nora's face. ("No I don't want-" "THIS IS THE BEST BOOK YOU WILL EVER READ!" "You said that about five times")
He's also the kind of person to learn a whole new language so he can read books in them. That's how he learned Polish, Ukrainian and Serbian in the span of a couple of months.
Definitely a crier. Nora would have to spend hours trying to comfort him and tell him that though the characters are gone, the stories live on and they won't be killed.
While being the life of party, he definitely brings a book to any large gatherings. Or a phone with books in them. Even during one of those NYPD commendation parties they received when they tracked down Sonja's killer. Nora found him at a desk reading the last chapter of the Book Thief.
Instead of suggesting songs to listen to, he's got a playlist of book titles on his phone at all times.
"Oh but the book is better." "This scene wasn't in the book." "It isn't a true adaptation."
Trying to write his own story but only managing to finish one sentence before cracking his knuckles and going "Whew, what a day! This must be what Isaac Asimov felt like!"
Having a soft spot for campy af adventure stories because he's dreamt of something like that for a long time.
Having signed copies because he'd rather take care of his books than get a bite to eat.
Dragging Nora to book club meetings, ComicCons and just having his mind explode at the sheer amount of merchandise and books they've got there.
The glove box in his car has a book in it. He never travels without one.
the duality of "oh I shall add this to my TBR." and "Nora I believe I have a problem. I have over two hundred books to read."

Ty @camillekaze for tagging me on this! It was fun to do and I always love sharing music with people 🥰
Rules: Shuffle your on repeat playlist and post the first 10 tracks, then tag 10 people!
1. Cherry Waves - Deftones
Ive been on a huge deftones kick lately and yall already know i’m a sucker for the ocean/waves pulling you under as a motif for obsession
2. Sugar - Remi Wolf
A song that i’ve got a huge soft spot for, literally unskippable, listened to it a lot when i was going through it at the beginning of last year (and am happy to say things have gotten better/easier since 💖)
3. Harvey - Her’s
A sweet jam and i dedicate to the bestest sdv bachelor ever (in my extremely biased opinion)
4. First Time- Hozier
Im so obsessed with this man, yall have no idea (or maybe you do lmao) This one was an instant hit for me “How before I heard it from your mouth, my name would always hit my ears as such an awful sound” literally FELT. Also bought a shirt that i later found out had lyrics to this song on it and that really got me 😭
5. Softly - Arlo Parks
A bittersweet break up song that is such an earworm, always gets stuck in my head when im getting up in the mornings
6. King For A Day - Pierce The Veil
An emo classic! Perfect for when you feel like screaming at the world 😌 been going to emo nite a lot lately and it’s always one you’re bound to hear at some point if you go

@sallycinnamons hehe okay. sorry this took forever I was like ‘ok if I post it I have to make double extra sure I’m satisfied with every song on there’ (special shout out to “Every Night” by THEE Paul McCartney, which I adore but decided was not right. It’s the only one I culled)
anyway HERE is a link to this playlist and below is a bit about why each song is on here or what gains the song entry to this playlist. Basically the organizing question is what does Love sound like to me, Mimi [REDACTED]? Like many great playlists it started as an informal shortlist in my head and I decided I really did want to keep track of them. You’ll notice maybe like I did after making the playlist that a lot of them are about someone you want to listen to or want to listen to you more than anything. clearly that’s the height of romance to me...
its not in any particular order, just how I added it.
1. “Jesus, Etc.” - Wilco - “I’ll be around / You were right about the stars”
2. “Only for You” - Heartless Bastards - first song I ever felt sounded like love to me, would have been first song if I had not been actively listening to Wilco when I decided to pull the trigger
3. “The Book I Read” - Talking Heads - “I’m embarrassed to admit it hit the soft spot it in my heart when / I found out you wrote the book I read”
4. “Ask Me Why” - The Beatles - “I love you / ‘Cause you tell me things I want to know” also John’s cold voice sounds like hes cryinnnnggggg :)
5. “This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody)” - Talking Heads - as I mentioned earlier, often considered The love song in a catalogue characteristically devoid of them. Can’t pull out a lyric, all of them fit
6. “Ladies” - Fiona Apple - “Nobody can replace / anybody else / so it would be a shame to make it a competition”
7. “I Want You To Love Me” - Fiona Apple - Hey Guy Have You Heard This Song.
8. “Village Green” - The Kinks - ok this one is more getting at the fact that you can love a place so much, and also I always love how he goes back and sits with Daisy even though she’s married to the grocer. sometimes when you go to college out of state you form strong emotional connections with village pastorals okay?
9. “If I Needed Someone” - The Beatles - kind of incredibly blasé for a love song but thats why I love it I think?? It’s saying listen I don’t actually need anyone else but. If i did it would be you..
10. “Sugar on My Tongue” - Talking Heads - YAYYYYYYY BEING ALIVE IN A BODY AND HORNY FOR ANOTHER HUMANBEING IS BEAUTIFUL YAYYYYY LETS ALL HOLD HANDS
11. “Tim I Wish You Were Born a Girl” - Of Montreal - a repression enjoyer classic but its on here because he literally loves tim more than he knows how to think about. ok wow
12. “Concerto for Philodendron & Pothos” - Mort Garson - I have dreams about trying to orchestrate this one day and I’m giving the synth around :45 to a lone trumpet. That’s Love
13. “Nothing But Mine” - Billie Marten - “Be my friend / there is no other way to say it”
14. “Slide Away” - Oasis - “I dream of you / and all the things you said” & “Let me be the one to shine with you” & “We talk of growing old” NEED I GO ON? This one very recently has become an instant cry in the first ten seconds kind of song, which is nice. It deserves it
15. “Don’t Let Me Down” - The Beatles and Billy Prescott who is really quite crucial here - best John vocal of all time. Sorry. Don’t let me down please don’t let me down. Don’t let me down........
16. “Live Forever” - Oasis - “Maybe you’re the same as me / We see things they’ll never see” - man. man. man. man. man. yeah
17. “People Take Pictures of Each Other” - The Kinks - “People take pictures of each other / just to prove that they really existed”
18. “Village Green Preservation Society” - The Kinks - “Aren’t they the same thing? Love and attention?”
ok yay this was fun. If I ever add more songs I might come back to this post I really enjoy annotated lists

what i'm listening to 4/5/2023 (song notes under cut!)
spot. link//yt link
Laura Les - Haunted: haunted. by laura les.
100 gecs - Dumbest Girl Alive: yeah there's gonna be a fair few new gecs tracks in here. dumbest girl alive is my favorite from 10k, i can't even express how much it just hits every time. i love the riff, i love the lyrics, i love the music video, i love the production, love it love it love it. i also included a minecraft parody i found when searching the video on youtube, you're welcome
Black Flag - Revenge: i've been trying to rediscover my love for some of my favorite hardcore genres, so i took it all the way back to the early days and reconnected with one of my favorite bands. i encountered this song in high school when trying to find clean black flag songs that i could put in a piece i was writing about the history of metal (which the band is not, but hardcore is significant in the history of the genre anyway). it's a great thrash-and-basher and apparently has not been in my playlist until now, which i was unaware of lol
The Beatles - Strawberry Fields Forever: once again i must admit to listening to the beetles.... alas. look it's a really good song, the lead-in to the chorus is fucking amazing, the instrumentation is really interesting and unique, it just washes over you like waves of sound. plus it's goofy as hell
Jaga Jazzist - I Could Have Killed Him In The Sauna: from the INSTANT i heard the intro of this track i was like ohhh that's going in the next WILT. i don't have a ton to say about it, just listen. it's good sounds to chew on. shoutout io
100 gecs - Billy Knows Jamie: i freaked the fuck out when i heard this track, no joke. which is funny, because i'm pretty certain they played this when i saw them last fall, but i didn't have any frame of reference at the time for whether it would sound the same on the record. i just kept thinking "they did this for ME. SPECIFICALLY" because like hello??? i'm the nu metal gecs fan!!! that's like my whole thing!!!! and this literally sounds like limp bizkit half the time!!!!! i honestly kind of wouldn't mind if the breakdown at the end had been a little more restrained, just to preserve the feeling that it's 1999 all over again, but whatever. it cums. it's also about violence and killing, so i even get a little bit of like juggalo vibes almost
Fiona Apple - To Your Love: this song sounds so sexyyyy like maybe this is out of pocket but when this came on shuffle on a singer-songwriter playlist i was browsing i literally stopped what i was doing and was just like 😳😳😳 it's insane. and like when her voice gets all growly at one point later in the track... anyway haha
Marnie Stern - Prime: found via that coolass video i reblogged a while back oh god let's see if i can find that. holy shit i can't believe that worked. i don't know anything about marnie stern but i should listen to more because prime knocked the wind out of me it's good
100 gecs - The Most Wanted Person In The United States: last gecs track... and it's more rap rock!!! kind of. did you guys catch that cypress hill sample? i sure did!!!! love itttt. plus there's more killing it's so awesome. i've already said most of this stuff to violet (hi violet) but for real i think "got anthony kiedis suckin on my penis" is one of the all-time greatest bars and i'm not joking
DJ Lycox - BILLIE JEAN (DIOR): a lot of music from people on here this month! one of my mutuals (who probably won't read this but if you do. hi :3) posted this track and i really love the original pop smoke song so i was like right what's all this then. it's good. that's what it is then
Bruce Springsteen - Born to Run: i was reading this article about bruce springsteen being a sort of icon for butch womanhood and that had me like wow i am feeling emotions right now. and so i went and listened to some springsteen and you know what he rocks. there's something so desperate and heartbreaking about his songwriting, it hits me in a real way. and i've never even been to new jersey
Ada Rook - 920LONDON: new rook album ooh yeah babey. not my fav record she's ever done but still really fucking good. this song kind of reminds me of everlong, which like. girl who's only ever listened to everlong by the foo fighters listening to her second song: getting a lot of everlong by the foo fighters vibes from this. but still it's about holding each other close and making the most of what we have in our rapidly passing time, plus the riffs are kind of similar in ways that i don't feel like fudging musical terminology to try and describe
Sarah Vaughan - Lullaby Of Birdland: cool jazz can be kind of whatever but y'know i'm a vocals girlie and sarah vaughan honestly probably deserves to be listed up there with the greats. her vocal control is insane, and the way she just drifts from her higher register to the lower and back again is hypnotic. good fucking song plus shows props to charlie parker
May Leitz - gODKILLER: another from tumblr, thanks to user bigbaywindow for directing me towards may leitz ^_^ i have been rocking with several of her songs but this was the first one i listened to and it's really good, the lyrics hit me in a certain way as well that some of you might guess. also while putting together the youtube playlist i discovered that may makes youtube videos including one that i've seen floating around my recommended page a couple of times?? so i guess i'll have to see what's goin on over there
The International Sweethearts Of Rhythm - Vi Vigor: am i like. crazy. i would have SWORN that i put this in a previous WILT but i can find no evidence of that being true. in any case this is a cool kinda bebop-inspired jazz piece by an all-woman jazz ensemble who i wanna listen to more of. there's some really great sax work on here especially, so if you're into that def check this one out
Girls Rituals - Hole/The Used: okay funny story on this one. this was the first song i ever heard from any of devi's projects, it was before i even really knew who black dresses was. this song appeared in my release radar and i was like "who the fuck is this" and i'm convinced it only happened because the title is the names of two bands which i WAS already listening to at the time. and i listened to the song and said "this is really bad, and i don't understand why anyone would listen to this." and then i mostly forgor about it. skip forward to recently - i am obviously a big fan of devi's work and plenty of other projects adjacent to this. i get a big new batch of songs in my playlist (hello again to violet shoutout violet) and this song is in here. i listen to it. it's good :) take that, me from two years ago
The Buggles - The Plastic Age: the mandatory Todd Find™ for this month. i was watching the one hit wonderland episode on these guys and honestly didn't pay attention too closely bc i was busy but this song stuck. you guys know i'm all about that campy futurey cyberpunk-adjacent shit. it would be a stretch to say this fully gets there but it's still a fun song either way
Cage The Elephant - Cigarette Daydreams: lame song honestly but the chorus is super catchy plus there's a story. when i was working my old job there was a supervisor i liked a lot who played a wide range of tunes on shift. sometimes it was chill instrumental stuff, sometimes it was metalcore, and sometimes it was like this sort of radio alternative shit. this song specifically would play a lot, as you can imagine, and at the time it annoyed me, especially because of how catchy it is, it would make me think of work. but now both that supervisor and i have left, and so now it just reminds me of vibing with them and making the most of being on the clock. a cigarette daydream indeed
Jason Segel & Walter - Man Or Muppet: i don't know, man. i've had this song stuck in my head since i was eight years old and one day i randomly thought "i wonder if that's on streaming" and it is

Ross being jealous of another guy who you've been paying attention to and then when you get home it's just so soft and sweet and your super affectionate with him (I like soft things what can I say)
You’re absolutely right and I don’t think Ross is above a bit of jealousy when it comes to his partner! Like not the toxic kind of “how dare you look at him” jealousy but he definitely gets a bit sassy and snide. It’s all “oh I’m sorry I thought you found a new boyfriend!” And it’s hilarious how pouty he is about it so you decide to take it one step forward and be like “hmmm I guess he won’t be mean to me at least” and he’s all “no 🥺 i wasn’t being mean I promise”
But also you know that you did get a bit too busy being a social butterfly and you didn’t miss his longing glances all evening, the small brushes against your waist, the instant smiles any time your eyes met and now you’re determined to give him all the love and affection he wants.
He can’t stay mad for very long, sorry I refuse to believe that he can hold a grudge (unless it’s some real fucked up shit) so he just melts when you walk up to him like “babe, let’s just unwind together, okay?”
And then out come the fancy, scented candles, the bubble bath products, the soft playlist and the dim lights. The water is perfectly warm when you lean against his chest and he sighs happily.
Bathing together as a couple doesn’t always have to lead to sex, sometimes it’s just intimacy in other ways; like how his fingers gently knead your shoulders, trying to find any knots, any spots that particularly hurt. Or how he hums along to the song and smiles when you join him.
He also absolutely loves drawing things on your back in bubbles btw, he suddenly becomes quite the artist and you make a whole game out of guessing it. It’s not hard most of the time, mostly it’s just him drawing little hearts or writing his own name.
Once the water goes cold, you both have to step out but you’re still quite clingy and needy for each other so he’s like let’s just stay up and watch something or just talk. So you agree, forgo the clothes because why not? (Also cockwarming????) 👀

10 AM  —  SEPTEMBER 1, 2022 fall semester school assembly @ the auditorium
at the semestral assembly, both school dean and student council president speak gently of son jisoo's death. after a brief remembrance and a call for cooperation in the ongoing investigations, the program proceeds. freshmen are welcomed with fanfare and short performances. recognition is awarded to outstanding students across different departments. and finally, the red and green club are called onto the stage—presented as the cream of the crop, the best of the best, shining paragons of talent for all to aspire to.
while they stand on stage, the dean announces the school of visual arts' annual fall exhibit—a highly anticipated, week-long gallery show held at the geumjanhwa gallery every fifteenth of september. a pre-cursor to the mugunghwa arts festival held at the end of fall. every year, students hope and pray for an exhibition space on the floor of the first day.
cheers and groans fill the auditorium as the dean gives each member of the red and green club an exhibition space for the first day. the club, as a whole, receives another day-one exhibition space for a commemorative piece about jisoo. recipients of the remaining four spots are announced before the program concludes.
Tumblr media
event specific info . the exhibit takes place on september 15-19. while the exhibit is ongoing, fairs and booths are set up across the campus by students from all departments. some advertise clubs and programs, while others sell goods and services. you can write about your character manning or visiting these booths. the campus is alive with students practicing for the exhibit. if you would like your character to present at the fall exhibit, message the main blog with the day you would like them to present. there are twelve vacant exhibition spaces each day. students can present a maximum of three days. ic, these exhibits are vetted by teachers. the exhibit is an annual event and joining yields significant grade incentives (even instant A’s), so its likely that visual arts students have been preparing for it as early as last year (of course, there will always be procrastinators). non-visual arts students can present on the last day. day one  . son jiyeon, jung miyoung, nam minjun, kim mina, liu mingze, anikka ‘nika’ chaiyon, song siyeon, the red and green club, vacant, vacant, vacant, vacant day two  . day three  .   day four .   day five  .  han junjae/lee muyeol
this is optional. feel free to write about your character’s exhibit. what are they presenting? what media are they using? what do most people think of it? you can also post pictures, edits, playlists or any media you prefer. you can also write about the process they went through to get to the exhibit, either in threads or solos. was their initial work rejected for presentation, or was it smooth sailing all the way? where did they get their inspiration?
check on your art major friends! they probably won’t be sleeping for the first two weeks of the semester.
Tumblr media
ooc info . plot drops, covering specific scenarios and involving specific characters, will be posted at random times. a plot drop about the exhibit will be posted later on. tag event-related posts with #mguacti. it’s possible i missed some details, so if you have any questions just ask!

ESC2023 Reaction Post
Just like the title said, I'm writing this post as I listen to most of the 2023 entries for the first time. So far, I have only heard Italy (of course), Spain, Finland, Serbia, Portugal (I just couldn't miss their national finals), and Norway (heard it in the wild).
My top 6 of these entries would look like this:
1. Finland: Käärijä - "Cha Cha Cha"
I've definitely caught the Cha Cha Cha fever! At this point, I've streamed it 240 times in less than a month. It's an instant dopamine boost, it hits several spots of my taste in music, the transition between the two halves of the song is seamless and reflects the lyrics perfectly (I recommend Eurovision Histories' analysis of the song, he explains it really well), Käärijä is such a charismatic performer and an absolute sweetheart, but most of all...
Tumblr media
2. Spain: Blanca Paloma - "Eaea"
I rarely cry over a song, so when one does manage to get my eyes wet, it must be special. The fusion between flamenco and a contemporary production, together with Blanca Paloma's flawless and intense vocals, make "Eaea" a contender not only in my ears, but also in my eyes, as the staging completes the package effectively. Hopefully she doesn't change it much for Liverpool!
3. Serbia: Luke Black - "Samo Mi Se Spava"
It seems like Konstrakta might have paved the way for a more experimental side of the Serbian music scene! I first heard "Samo Mi Se Spava" at Pesma za Evroviziju's final and, while I loved the dark electro-pop style, I was also left a little confused - maybe it was the vocals that I couldn't fully get? But with more listens, I've now warmed up to it. Its only flaw is that it's too short. Give me a 7-minute long extended mix with a drop going absolutely bonkers, please.
4. Italy: Marco Mengoni - "Due Vite"
Yes, it's a classic Sanremo-style ballad. But the artist can make or break this kind of songs with their way of singing, and Marco definitely makes it with his distinctive vocals and artistry. While he has a bunch of upbeat bangers and I would have loved him to show this different side of his music this time around, I really can't complain as "Due Vite" makes yet another entry we can be proud of. Forza Marco!
5. Portugal: Mimicat - "Ai Coração"
This keeps growing on me! Such a cute and classy song, retro sounding in the best way. Portugal is one of my favourite country in the ESC, and "Ai coração" is faithful to their brand. Mimicat is such an endearing performer and definitely sells the song!
6. Norway: Alessandra - "Queen of Kings"
It's 'last' as for now, but I'm sure it won't be last in my overall ranking! In fact, I can't see it dropping outside of my top 20 once I've heard all of the entries. Epic feel, pumping bass, powerful vocals - I wouldn't be surprised if "Queen of Kings" landed the second top 10 placement in a row for Norway. Bonus points for Alessandra being half Italian!
Needless to say, I really enjoy all of these songs. It feels so hard for me to imagine a personal winner other than "Cha Cha Cha", but maybe I'll be surprised...
Now to my live reaction to the remaining 31 entries: what I'm going to do is play ESCBEAT's Spotify playlist on shuffle without looking at the title, so I'll make it even more interesting for myself and try to guess which country's song is playing - with the exceptions of Armenia and San Marino, as they're not available on Spotify yet so I'll check them out individually on YouTube.
Armenia: Brunette - "Future Lover"
Ok, before the song starts, let me say that basing her song on Tumblr quotes is honestly iconic behaviour. Truly one of us. However I fear I won't be able to take it 100% seriously after reading this fact.
Alright.
After listening: you know what... it makes a lot more sense to me now. The first verse can be interpreted as her scrolling her dashboard, reading such posts and fantasizing over this ideal partner to do all of these cute and mundane things with. The second verse is when she gets hit by reality and acknowledges that she's spent so much time obsessing over someone who doesn't even exist, and that realization hits her hard. The music seems to explode together with the racing thoughts in her mind. Solid, r&b-tinted track, has potential to be a memorable moment on the Liverpool stage. Oh, and once again Armenia shows that they're capable to make a music video.
San Marino: Piqued Jacks - "Like an Animal"
I have already read the lyrics to that, and they are definitely Something™. Let's see if the music and the performance can make up for it...
I was expecting so much worse from what I've read around the eurofandom spaces? It's a pleasant, very well sung rock song. The lyrics didn't even bother me that much while listening, although they're kinda awkward indeed. Maybe they'll change them up in the upcoming revamp?
Now to shuffling the Spotify playlist.
Sweden: Loreen - "Tattoo"
Oh, this has to be Tattoo. The start is indeed a bit reminiscing of The Winner Takes It All! It's what Sweden can do best - a strong pop song with slick production, in which Loreen's personality and artistry is the added value. I wish she had presented something more experimental, but seeing how it went with "Statements", can we really blame her? "Tattoo" does sound like a jury winner, and it would surely be deserved. I'm sure it's even better live - I'll make sure to check her Melfest performance out!
Australia: Voyager - "Promise"
Have no idea of what this could be, but the sound is interesting. Hope the build-up does not disappoint.
Okay, it has to be Australia! I was expecting it to evolve into a full-on dance-pop song, lmao.
I'm digging this! "Dreamer" was a national final favourite of mine last year, and while I'm not sure I like "Promise" more, I still did like it a lot, and I can hear some common patterns between the two songs - poppier verses, the chorus suddenly getting heavier, and then the peak in the breakdown and the final chorus. Oh, and there's a short but sweet guitar solo in here! I wonder how it will be received on the ESC stage, as it might come across as confusing to some.
Slovenia: Joker Out - "Carpe Diem"
Is this Joker Out? I've been SO curious to hear their song, as I heard some of their back catalogue and it sounds really cool.
OMG I LOVE THIS SO MUCH. Such a strong indie-rock banger, reminiscent of what I used to hear on the alternative radio stations in the mid 00s, but still sounding fresh in 2023. Also Slovene sounds adorable together with rock music. It's been absolutely worth the wait! I NEED THIS TO QUALIFY OKAY.
Austria: Teya & Salena - "Who the Hell Is Edgar"
OH MY GOD YOU'RE SUCH A GOOD WRITER. Yeah, recognized it instantly. MASSIVE BOP ALREADY. Was... not expecting this opera bit.
POE POE POE POE POE POE POE POE POE POE POE POE POE POE POE EDGAR ALLAN EDGAR ALLAN
Everyone stand up for the new Austrian anthem. Honestly iconic. Loving it unironically, great production, love me some satire, and I trust them to deliver live. Hope they go bonkers with the staging. I feel like ranking these entries is going to be hell...
Switzerland: Remo Forrer - "Watergun"
Oh, piano intro.
Army mention. Switzerland, isn't it?
Not bad, just sounds kinda cliché so far... very nice voice though. Can't see myself replaying it. Probably going to end up in my bottom 10.
Georgia: Iru - "Echo"
This is a banging intro, I'm listening respectfully.
...Georgia?
There's going to be a drop, I hope so...
I'm... disappointed so far? Not really hearing the build-up I was hoping for. It seems to be a fan favourite, but I'm not getting it. Maybe it will grow on me, who knows?
Moldova: Pasha Parfeni - "Soarele si Luna"
ROMANIAN. Has to be Pasha. Another song I was eager to hear!
THE DROP. THANKS FOR MY DAILY DOSE OF DOPAMINE. THIS IS SO GOOD HELP. The bass, the flute, the backing vocals, everything. This might be my favourite Moldovan entry ever. Pasha Parfeni came on this bitch mad as hell. Welcome back!
Azerbaijan: TuralTuranX - "Tell Me More"
Automatic voice message? This sounds kinda unserious idk why.
Oh, it has to be Azerbaijan.
I'm glad they left the artists more creative control this time around, but this is really not doing it for me. It sounds like the demo to some 90s song. My last so far. I fear this won't do well and the delegation will go back to Melfest rejects...
Ireland: Wild Youth - "We Are One"
We take our first breath and then we exhale. King of teaching us how to breathe. Can't figure out which entry this is, but it sounds cliché so far.
Oh, Ireland. Wild Youth, what have you done? I already knew their song "Can't Say No" and it's so good, are we sure it's the same band? It's like they came together and decided to deliberately write the most stereotypical ESC song. It's a no from me.
Latvia: Sudden Lights - "Aijā"
Interesting beat, wonder where it's going to go from here. Oh, guitars.
5/4 to 6/8 tempo transition? A bit confusing but in a good way, I'm enjoying it a lot! Definitely original. Could it be Latvia? I've been VERY curious to hear it.
Well, he's saying Aijā now so no doubt. First impression is really good already, but I feel like I'll end up being obsessed!
Malta: The Busker - Dance (Our Own Party)
Funky pop, nice. Enjoying it more and more as it progresses, and that sax? *chef's kiss*. It's sensual, retro but there's also something a bit futuristic about it at the same time? Still not sure about what it is, even now that the song is coming to an end. Kinda want to say Malta? I'll figure this out by exclusion. What's sure is that it slaps.
(Spoiler: it was indeed Malta)
Romania: Theodor Andrei - "D.G.T. (Off and On)"
Is it Romanian again? Thought Romania's entry was in English, so this is surprising. And it's pretty good? This was one of the entries I just couldn't figure out the vibe of from the eurofans' comments, and I'm positively surprised honestly! Was expecting it to be maybe more upbeat, definitely was not picturing this jazz-rock fusion. Oh, turns out it's bilingual. I don't know how memorable it will be in the mix, but it's solid. Such a diverse lineup so far, it's shaping up to be a stronger year than I thought!
Albania: Albina & Familja Kelmendi - "Duje"
Oh, this lady CAN vocalize! Something in the Albanian water...
I was expecting this to be more ballad-y for some reason but it's making me want to shake my ass. I feel like something in the production/mixing is holding it back a bit, though. Overall it's Albania doing Albania, and I can't complain.
Iceland: Diljá - "Power"
Iceland time, I think? I'm enjoying it a lot so far. EDM hasn't been particularly successful at ESC, but she has a lovely voice and her winning Söngvakeppnin suggests to me that she can deliver live, so this could be a dark horse!
Denmark: Reiley - "Breaking My Heart"
Very modern production for this and vocoder for this next song. Okay, this is probably Denmark. It's most likely not going to be one of my favourites, but it's a personal taste thing. It's a solid pop song, hope he can deliver it live.
Estonia: Alika - "Bridges"
Now a lovely tone of voice being accompanied by just a piano and strings. I've lost count of which songs are left to listen to, and while I'm at the last chorus, I'm still struggling to figure out which country this is. WAIT IT'S ALIKA FKFHFKFHDKDH. Girlie said "bridges" a ton of times and I didn't catch it lmao. Really liked it though! It could stand out in a less balladful year like this one.
Czechia: Vesna - "My Sister's Crown"
FINALLY HEARING VESNA'S SONG!!!! This has been so hard to resist BUT GOD HAS IT BEEN WORTH THE WAIT. I've been listening to their music for some time and I was so excited when they were announced for ESCZ. It's what I was expecting from them and more: a gorgeously sung, very well produced folk-pop tune, and the rap verses are such a great surprise! Up to my top 5 you go.
Belgium: Gustaph - "Because of You"
Gustaph delivers some good old eurodance, and I can tell this is going to be a sort of guilty pleasure for me... except I do not, in fact, feel guilty. It's the good kind of dated. Good job on bringing out the 90s kid in me!
United Kingdom: Mae Muller - "I Wrote a Song"
Sounds like slick pop so far. Oh this is building up nicely.
Yes, the UK delivering a quality, very radio-friendly host entry. They seem to be determined in changing their course, and hopefully we'll see a competent enough staging to bring out the entry's potential!
Greece: Victor Vernicos - "What They Say"
Is it Greece? Cute song, I just think I'm not the audience for it. He's really young and this seems to be his first performance on a big stage, so I'm a bit worried about how he might cope with nerves... But then again, there have been 16-year-olds who did amazing on the ESC stage, so fingers crossed!
Croatia: Let3 - "Mama ŠČ"
CROATIA TIME LET'S SEE
This is as all over the place as I was expecting, it's far from a musical masterpiece but it's clearly not meant to be. They're just vibing, and I support that.
Cyprus: Andrew Lambrou - "Break a Broken Heart"
What in the Imagine Dragons is this? Oh, that's Cyprus. This is pretty good, I just don't see myself coming back to it much. But I feel like it's the kind of song that might be elevated a lot by strong staging.
Poland TVP: Blanka - "Solo"
BEYBAH ITS KAINDA CRAYZAH.
...yeah. It's a song. I get those who say it sounds like a Margaret song, but it's also giving me early 00s vibes. At the same time, while I'm a slut for early 00s pop, this is giving me nothing. And the context around it makes everything worse.
Israel: Noa Kirel - "Unicorn"
I've heard "Unicorn" is a messy song, now I'll get to witness it for myself. So far it's a respectable dance-pop entry, but that "power of the unicorn" sounds so random ngl.
Oh well. This is definitely a song meant FOR a staging. The breakdown after the repeated "do you want to see me dance?" line reminded me of kpop a bit. The ending was... so abrupt?
Netherlands: Mia Nicolai & Dion Cooper - "Burning Daylight"
This might be the Netherlands' entry? You can surely hear Duncan Laurence in it. I was afraid it would sound too forced as a song and a duet, but it's flowing well so far. However I'm not a fan of what the drums sound like. They sound... buried? I liked it the most until the second chorus.
Germany: Lord of the Lost - "Blood & Glitter"
Metal? In MY Eurovision Song Contest? Love to hear it, especially from Germany, since it seemed like they were stuck in their safe approach to the competition. As for the song itself... maybe I'll warm up to it with time, but on a first impression, I like the intro and the verses a lot, the chorus not as much. The ending was great!
Ukraine: Tvorchi - "Heart of Steel"
Oh, what's this? Slightly off-beat chorus, very interesting!
Right, Ukraine! Tvorchi use their host entry privilege to bring something we've never heard at the ESC before, and definitely a change of pace from the folk-driven songs of the past couple of years, proving the richness of this country's music scene.
Lithuania: Monika Linkytė - "Stay"
ČIŪTOOOO TŪTO
Another returnee! Sweet ballad, really pleasant vocals. Turning into more of a midtempo now, with sort of marching drums. I can't remember which country is in which semi, but I wouldn't mind this in the grand final at all!
France: La Zarra - "Évidemment"
So far, so French. And yes, it's a compliment - I'm a French pop slut. It's now surprisingly evolved into pop-funk, and I'm loving it! France is truly on a great streak (STILL MAD ABOUT FULENN OKAY.) - maybe we'll see them win in the next few years?
Overall: what a year! I was planning to make an initial ranking, turns out I'm too overwhelmed right now. As the years go by, the songs seem to be less meant for a contest, and more as a bunch of stand-alone solid and diverse tunes that happen to compete with each other, therefore it feels unfair to choose some over others. I'll take my time to warm up to them, and see which ones I will come back to the most, which ones will grow on or off me.
I think Finland is still my favourite, though.
Most likely to end up in my top 10: Czechia (definitely top 5), Slovenia, Latvia, Moldova, Malta, Austria

I've been listening to unreleased (not only) songs by Lana Del Rey, but lately I've been obsessed to your work, so: National Anthem is MELCO CODED, smarty so jinx, you can be the boss is about silco, money power glory is about mel, ultaviolence is vanco (also timebomb) thing, born to die sounds like the general atmosphere of FnF
I have a very soft spot for LDR's early stuff, and these are beautiful songrecs<3
Ultraviolence and Smarty especially are very fitting re: Vander/Silco and Jinx/Ekko, as well as Jinx's issues with Silco as she grows older. And tbh, You Can Be The Boss is by itself hella Melco coded :D
A fire in his eyes, know, I saw it He’s bleeding from his brain and his wallet He’s sick and he’s taken but honest The liquor on your lips, the liquor on your lips The liquor on his lips I just can’t resist As close as I’ll get to the darkness He tells me to, “Shut up, I got this”
Instant additions to the playlist, thank you<3

evolution of record label demands to artists
evolution of record label demands to artists to sign a deal and its effect on artists in the present
Firstly, after having the opportunity to examine carefully different aspects related to the recorded music side of the music industry, the present essay aims to analyze the position of record labels - notably major ones- nowadays with regards to their demands to artists in conjunction with the evolution of the music business caused mainly by the internet and the digital revolution which has democratized the way music is presented to the audiences and the way the role of the audience has also changed. At the same time, we would also like to put light into how the other sign of this coin affects artists nowadays, with special regard to the effect on emerging artists and the new requests for the established ones.
With no further ado, let’s deep ourselves into the evolution of the music industry, and by extension, of the position of record labels in terms of their relationship with artists by looking into different aspects into which the internet and digital have had an impact. To that respect, it must be said that, succinctly, in the last decades, the internet revolution has totally changed the way music is created and consumed. That’s why, while the consumer-based power emerges, the music industry has had to find a way to recalibrate and put themselves out, also in their demands to do so. For example, many promotional practices in the music industry that were useful in the past are now no longer effective, like radio airplay versus landing on the right DSP playlist that can get the artists the best visibility and exposure needed to be successful.
Fundamentally digital service providers (also known as “DSPs”) such as Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube have paved the way for consumers to discover new ways to listen music not subject to the media-curated filter of music they want to highlight of the major label supported advertising. At the same time, artists have also found spots to become their own bosses and entrepreneurs of their project.
However, not only DSPs, but social networks have also a say in all of this, because, while streaming services still work as tools to discover new artists, social networks have also influenced the music industry. On the one hand, Instagram has been a platform which has changed music discovery for music and visuals. The choices made by artists when promoting and posing music in this platform look for instant gratification, which requires to a visual fast captivating content, so audiences engage with it and then, as a next step, listen to the music.
On the other hand, TikTok has been the most recent revolutionary player to enter the game. In that sense, […] “the industry's attention on TikTok isn't unfounded. Songs that trend on TikTok often end up charting on the Billboard 100 or Spotify Viral 50. And 67% of the app's users are more likely to seek out songs on music-streaming services after hearing them on TikTok, according to a November 2021 study conducted for TikTok by the music-analytics company MRC Data.[1] On top of that, "<<Record labels would decide who to sign, then they'd market them, send them to radio, put the CDs on the shelves and you'd discover music from there. And now, I feel like the music industry is just increasingly reactive to fans' discoveries. So the equation has flipped, which is fascinating.>> […] <<Fans on TikTok are connecting with artistry in a different way. When they find music they resonate with, they root for these artists, and then it propels it forward and it has offline success>>”.
Furthermore, “Platforms like TikTok and Twitch allow you to experiment and get feedback in real time. Singers like SZA and PinkPantheress have found a success by uploading demos and unfinished songs, then putting their full resources behind the ones their fans seem to connect with the most. It's a strategy that plays directly into TikTok's creator community, says Gleeson.”[2]
To that effect, here we can see some stats regarding TikTok and music discovery:
Tumblr media
Source: Routenote.com
Along with it is important to emphasize that social media has impacted in the attention spans of the audiences, which have shortened at unprecedented levels. Considering that: “It cannot be denied that modern technology and the Internet have made it incredibly simple for even a bedroom musician to release their music to a global audience, but this comes with the flipside that the audience is now inundated with a flood of music and choices. The result of this is that an average listener simply will not spend time listening to an entire album or even a six-minute song to make their decision about an artist. Platforms like TikTok, Instagram Stories, and Reels, with their 10-15 second limits, have further popularized the need for cramming as much attention-grabbing content as possible within the first minute of a song. Musicians have been relegated to content creators, who must churn out catchy material continuously to stay relevant.”[3]
However, after exposing all the data regarding the influence of internet in the music industry and the changes provoked by it, if we move forward to how the digital revolution has influenced the position of artists in this equation reports indicate that “musicians only gained 12% of $43 billion generated in the industry of 2017. This alarming statistic proves that while the industry is still a profitable enterprise, its protagonists, the musicians who actively produce that richness, are left as starving artists This fact is reiterated by the statistics of how much money musicians make on the biggest music platform of our time – Spotify. To earn a decent income, an artist needs roughly 120.000 streams consistently per month, and that is considering he/she is the only rights holder of the track, which is seldom the case.”[4] Additionally, regarding the live music side of the business, a lot of established and emerging artists are also struggling to sell out their shows, because of the price increase in the last few years, because of many factors, including the pandemic, and for more emerging artists, the idea of touring is not worth the investment.
So, focusing on the subject matter of this paper, all this is translated into record labels being more demanding in their exigences to sign artists. First off, they require that the artist is already a jack of all trades. In the past, deals offered by record labels to emerging artists demanded to only be responsible of doing the music, all the other things related to their career were handled by them. While this could lead to abusive deals from record labels, the balance has now flipped to the other side completely, where musicians, to get their music to the audience, have to look for strategies that distract them from their craft. Otherwise, they will not get noticed by audiences nor record labels. So, “the line between being a musician, a businessperson, and a salesperson have become largely blurred, which might suit some with the inclination for it, but proves to be a shortcoming for many musicians.”[5]
Withal, advances offered by record labels now can be more attractive, but the demands also imply creating music instantly, with no margin for error, resulting in record labels having no patience with the artist to find its own way into success in the industry. All this also relates to the fact that record labels in the past where more patient with high-potential artists, giving them time to grow, experiment and even fail in their attempts. In fact, some years ago, “A record label would sign an act for three or four releases (sometimes less, sometimes more), and during the amount of time needed to produce and publish those records, an artist had the opportunity to mature.”[6]
For instance, Bruce Springsteen case with Columbia Records. At first, “label executives faced the question of how to package Springsteen as an artist. On some level, it seemed simple: Market him as a singer-songwriter, like James Taylor, Jackson Browne and Joni Mitchell — all then thriving. […]  Then the album flopped. But Columbia could afford to be patient. Those were the glory days of the music business, which sold 1 billion records in 1974. It was standard practice to support budding artists, including subsidizing national tours as a means of selling records. Concert tickets would go for about the price of a long-playing album; the idea was to generate excitement that would lead to radio airplay, and, ultimately, profits. […] The label’s new president, Walter Yetnikoff, wanted to drop Springsteen — prompting a junior executive to swear at him. Columbia decided to advance Springsteen enough money to record a hit single and see if he could rise to the occasion. After six months of work — and driving everyone around him crazy in the process — Springsteen answered emphatically, yes, he could rise to the occasion with “Born to Run.”[7]
In short, the industry now demands a finished product to sign a deal with, yet “New young stars, sometimes even teenagers, rise almost daily, offering some perfectly polished tracks that cost them (or their parents) thousands of dollars. They have no time to work on themselves and their music, to hit the road and make some life experiences to feed their art: they need to start making money quickly to return on the investment initially made.”
It must be highlighted that still in the present, there’s a lot of players in the music industry continue raising their hand to reiterate that, in their opinion, contracts are still not on point, but not only for emerging artists, also for established ones: “Behind so many of the world’s most successful and beloved musicians is often a terrible contract. For decades, the music industry has found ways to squeeze as much profit from artists and songwriters as possible, and while awareness of these practices has grown, exploitative deals remain practically an industry standard.”[8]
On a different note, the reaction of artists to those demands of the record labels has been translated into increasingly more and more musicians releasing their own music. That is the case of Lauren-Spencer Smith, who got to be in the to five of the UK singles charts, after going viral on TikTok. “Much like Olivia Rodrigo's Driver’s License, which was released this time last year, Smith's song is a mournful lament for the end of a relationship that went viral on TikTok before crossing over to mainstream success. But there's one crucial difference: While Rodrigo is signed to the world's biggest record label, Universal Music, Smith has no record deal at all. Instead, her music is distributed by a US service called TuneCore, which puts her songs onto services like Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube for a flat fee. Smith retains ownership of her master recordings and gets 100% of the royalties when her songs are streamed.”[9]
Even though they still do not pose a real threat to major record labels, whose requirements are usually more stringent “It's no secret that major labels are being outpaced by the independent sector. In 2020, indie labels and self-releasing artists saw their revenues grow by 27%, compared to an overall market growth of 7%. In the UK, the sector represents 26% of the market, a figure that's grown by an average of 1% every year since 2017. Globally, the indies' share of the music market is at an all-time high of 43.1% - worth a not-too-shabby $9.8bn (£7.19bn), according to MIDiA Research.”[10] However, this does not imply independent record labels should pay attention to this situation.
In conclusion, even though labels, and particularly major record labels still control the majority of the market and have created their own “label service” companies, similar to independent record labels, offering global, despite being more limited, resources to musicians and artists, which could lead them to find this challenge not a real challenge, it is important to keep in mind that the music industry moves really fast.
Along with that, new technologies that are and will be coming along, the advance of the power and supremacy of social networks and the above-mentioned consumer/audience-centered plans for artists when signed to a label could lead to a potential backlash for record labels, especially majors, in a short to mid-term. It would not be the first time the music industry does not react or starts looking one step further, which then causes sudden changes in a short timeframe and lots of convulsion.
Therefore, the proposed improvement for fairer requirements by record labels and an improvement of conditions in the industry, albeit it may seem common or logical would be for the key players of the industry such as record labels are to put their head up and look to what can happen to get a head start and propose more innovative solutions. To put it in a nutshell, this way, they would make the impact and subsequent evolution of them music industry more natural, fairer and, to put nutshell, better. It’s an exercise of finding a middle ground between artists and record labels, where both can be benefited.

Moreover, and to end up, to be more precise of where to start taking the aforementioned little steps into the future of the music industry within the technological revolution, one of one of the suggested solutions by the writer of this essay, and in connection to one of the challenges posed to the music publishing industry, would be to take hints, references, and practices of the relationships some artists are building with their fans in the metaverse. Using the fan or consumer-based experience, artists are shaping new ways to collect royalties, to make money out of their craft and passion, which is the main goal of most professional musicians. Record labels could help and boost those kinds of practices, even if adapted to their way of doing business and their responsibilities, to put the music industry where it has not been before and help artists along the way.

ೃ⁀➷ Home by Cavetown
honestly…this song reminds me of the way Remus struggled after James’ and Lily’s death, along with Sirius being sent to Azkaban. made me think of the way everything happened at once for him and just the spiraling feeling that was happening within him :/ ITS SO SAD !!! especially when you’re thinking of it of this way 💔
ೃ⁀➷ Water Fountain by Alec Benjamin
…if I’m honest I thought of Remus for this song in such an imaginative state here. I don’t know why I think that Remus did have some sort of a “first love” moment while he was in hogwarts but it just didn’t work out :( IM SO SAD LIKE WHY AM I DOING THIS— 💔 but of course he thinks back on it and he’s glad that it didn’t work because now he has his ONE AND ONLY TRUE MATE
ೃ⁀➷ Stressed Out by twenty one pilots
again, this reminds me of the time Remus was alone basically. he doesn't have his best friends being his rocks anymore...werewolf regulations are SO MUCH stricter when all of this is happening, that Remus just thinks about the times of when they were younger. it was so much easier then !!! he could act like a normal teenage wizard boy and not think of the consequences.
ೃ⁀➷ idfc by blackbear (but on the playlist the slowed down remix is made by DJ espinos)
Okay, just like water fountain, this also deals with the "first love"...i feel like Remus will try to make things work between him and the person even if it is lies but...he's so cold about it with them at the same time. he will literally act like he doesn't care about them but we all know he's hiding and holding back on them :/ our poor baby
ೃ⁀➷ Animals by Maroon 5
DO I GOTTA SAY MUCH HERE!? LIKE !!!!! LET'S NOT ACT DUMB HERE WE ALL KNOW THAT REMUS IS A FUCKING FREAAAAAAK IN THE SHEETS!!!! Like this man goes feral every time...don't get me wrong he definitely has a soft spot but one little unhinged moan from you...he snaps. instant switch! it's hot ;))
ೃ⁀➷ Do I Wanna Know? by Arctic Monkeys
guuuuuuuuuys i literally think of this the way Remus teases you. like this is his type of foreplay and does he get the fucking rise out of it when he sees you reacting the way he wants you to. omg this man is literally towering over you staring at you with a knowing look in his eyes and that fucking smirk he has when he's up to no good...oh my gods i'm on my knees for him
ೃ⁀➷ As the World Caves in by Matt Maltese
y'all....this song is literally my prime definition of Remus and Tonks. like, i'm so serious when i first heard this song they were the first thing to pop into my head. i'm so serious when i say that is literally their ride or die (CRYING HERE HOLD UP) song to me...like go and read the lyrics and you'll get what i mean 💔
ೃ⁀➷ Moonlight by Chase Atlantic
this song is literally how i think Remus will think of you when he's starting to actually notice you and become interested in everything about you. the song is literally giving "you make me so curious" vibes just LJHDFHEFKJENF:IHEF
ೃ⁀➷ PARANOID by Chase Atlantic
another song that reminds me of the hardship Remus went through when he was alone. i honestly believe that Remus HAD to have gone through some sort of hysteria that really, and i mean really, made him paranoid that he really couldn't function properly :(
ೃ⁀➷ Teacher's Pet by Melanie Martinez
this song is here for the sheer fact that we all met Remus as the DADA teacher and oh my gods was i living that teacher x student fantasy with him !!! YEAH IT"S BAD WHEN I THINK OF IT NOW but...it's just hot
ೃ⁀➷ Persephone by Tamino
tbh i first thought of this song and just thought this fits Remus' aesthetic...? though i know its pretty much agreed that this song deal with Hades and Persephone but i don't know why I always think that Remus' love is just like Hades love for Persephone...just something about it makes me so freaking warm and fluffy inside that i could just cry in joy honestly.
ೃ⁀➷ Apocalypse by Cigarettes After Sex
if Remus wrote you some sort of poem...this is the song. like, i feel like it fits the way he would want to describe his feelings for you through paper, because the poor man cannnoooot say it in your face
ೃ⁀➷ Fairytale by Alexander Rybak
this is solely here for the aesthetic vibes but also for that other imagine part i've always thought that fits Remus, where he was in love with in school but was scared to approach you in a romantic way, but years later he sees you again and it's like those feelings never went away. he felt like he was back at school just watching you from afar.
ೃ⁀➷ Sweater Weather by The Neighborhood
another Remus Lupin aesthetic song !! this song honestly fits him so much just for the overall vibe i get from him and everything :))
ೃ⁀➷ Marinero by Maluma
i had to sneak in a Spanish song here, especially this song!! for those that don't understand Spanish, there are English lyric translations on YouTube, trust me it won't disappoint you. I have this song here just because i feel like Remus will take advantage of the way you feel for him because he doesn't know how to handle it. Excuses I know, but it's the hard reality for him and you.
ೃ⁀➷ Nobody by Mitski
i feel like this song kind of describes Remus's desperate need to have some sort of connection with the outside world, but at the same time he's overthinking it due to the past experiences and he doesn't have his people to weigh him down in case of anything :/
ೃ⁀➷ Daddy Issues by The Neighborhood
...do i gotta say much. this man has daddy issues because of the way his father was with him. he's in that club with us, but also it also speaks of the way he is with relationships, especially sexual relationships to me.
ೃ⁀➷ Runaway by AURORA
this song is literally Remus reconnecting with life. He finally has Harry in his life, and he finally has Sirius back too. he feels complete but that nagging feeling in the back of his mind makes him want to run away from it cause he's finally back home.
⁀➷ Who (feat. BTS) by Lauv, BTS
i honestly have this song in the playlist just for the sheer fact that Remus WILL overthink your relationship just because his wolf hasn't claimed you as their mate, and it makes him absolutely anxious. because what if his true mate is out there and it isn't you in the end? what is he going to do?

"You gave me more than the world And I gave up on my word A lifetime lost in a day"
-Gus Dapperton, Horizons
Tumblr media
In terms of grief, this feels like a reflection and acceptance of a costly sin... left to your loneliness, the only thing you could take with you going forward are the memories. Both of what was, and what could have been.
The bridge of the song earned its spot on my Hollow playlist. I believe it's what makes so much of his music so popular within the genre — it has a certain soul about it. Though the lyrics detail what appears to be regret over lost of a past love, it not only ties into the title of the song (horizons and the ending of the day) but also shows the depth of emotion felt: someone cared for the speaker incredibly so, yet their love was disregarded and the speaker's word broken — to quote Di Niro: "Reputation, you know... a lifetime to build, seconds to destroy — a lifetime of work lost in the instant a decision was made.
I know it's definitely been said before, but how can any human ever say it isn't real for anyone else? To experience love lost, one has to have loved in the first place.
Definitely give it a listen!

Episode 22
“Hello, I am NCT Mark and I am 22 years old,” a smile adorns his lips as the boy next to you bow at the camera.
“Hello, I am Mark’s wife, Y/N, and I am 21 years old,” you greet, bowing politely at the camera.
“This is the first time we have very young guests coming to our show,” one of them said.
“I think many fans are wondering why you had gotten married at such a young age?” one asked.
Another continued, “yeah, I don’t think it’s common in Korea,” they said, “I heard that Mark used to live in Canada for some time, is it common to get married at such a young age, there?”
Mark chuckles, shaking his head, “No, no, we both decided to get married young because we have always talked about spending our 20s together.”
“How long have the both of you been married?”
Mark looks at you before answering, “We got married just a few months ago, actually.”
“To be exact, it has been about 4 months now,” you continued.
“How long did you guys date?”
“We dated for about 3 years, before we both decided that we wanted to get married straight away,” your husband answers.
“Wait, 3 years? But the news of you guys dating came out a year ago, though?”
“We dated secretly~” Mark replied shyly.
“You guys are the youngest couple to be on our show, has anyone been opposed to the idea of you guys getting married at such a young age?”
Your hand lands on your husbands shoulders, “to start, of course we received a lot of hate comments online when the news came out, but we knew this was what we wanted, so we never really doubted for a second.”
Mark agrees with your words, “yeah, our parents were also a little skeptical by our plans but we were adults and had explained clearly why we wanted to get married at such a young age.”
You hum along with Mark’s words.
“Tell us honestly, was it hard dating someone when you are one of the biggest boy group in Korea?” one of them asked Mark.
Mark though for a moment, he wasn’t sure if he should spill out the truth or just butter everything up. “Well, of course it was. I knew what I was getting into and so did Y/N,” he says, “and as expected we knew that if we get caught, there would be tons of comments about us.”
“How did you overcome the mean comments?”
“Of course, we had both shared tears because of those comments, but we promised to never leave each other because of what others think.”
The scene started with the both of you eating breakfast at the dinner table.
The casts of We Got Married started laughing at the sight of Mark’s bed head.
“You know, we really need to go grocery shopping,” you tell your husband who was sitting before you.
He hums, “we’ll go this afternoon, I need to get some things too,”
You swallow your food, “what things, babe?”
“Doyoungie’s birthday is just around the corner, and I wanna bake him a cake,” he tells you.
You squint your eyes at the boy, “bake? Are you sure you won’t burn down our kitchen?”
He rolls his eyes at your words, “I’m a grown up, babe, I definitely know how to bake,”
“Didn’t Mark went trending for a while when he cooked eggs?” the members laugh.
“I remember that!”
.•° ✿ °•.
The scene changed to the both of you in the grocery store. You were searching for ingredients that you had written down in your phone.
You would often forget items, so before you leave the house, you would type down all the things you would need in your phone.
Mark on the other hand, would get food on impulse- mostly snacks and instant food. You don’t mind, but space is limited, every time your husband joins you, he would overspend and in the end, you wouldn’t have space to keep all the extra food.
“Baby, you know we don’t need all these,” you sigh tiredly, your hand gesturing to the different types of chips laying in the cart. “Just pick one, honey, we can’t have everything from the store,” you say exasperatedly.
Mark pouts at you but quickly removes most of the chips until there was 2 left. You decided to close an eye since you saw one of the new chips that you had been dying to try out.
“Have you gotten the ingredients for the cake?”
Mark raises his eyebrows at your words, his hands digging through the pile of food in the cart before pulling out a box of cake mix.
Episode 27
“Let’s welcome the couple who has received good remarks after coming to our show!” one of them said, followed by a series of claps.
“Wah~ I really did not expect to receive so much nice comments,” Mark says with his hands placed on his chest, “Thank you so much everyone, y/n and I spent the whole night reading all of your comments.”
“Actually, I’m curious,” one of them quickly adds in, “how did the baking go for your member’s birthday?”
“I ended up burning the cake, so Y/N helped me from scratch,” he says sheepishly.
The casts laugh in unison.
“Did Doyoung know?”
Mark shakes his head, “I lied and told him that I was the one who made the cake, but he didn’t believed me, so I ended up telling him the truth,” Mark says, flustered.
The scene started with the both of you walking in the park. Strings of coos left the casts lips when they saw you wearing a dress with your hair braided to one side.
With squinted eyes, the both of you tried to find a good shaded spot in the park before putting down a disposable picnic mat, placing each of your shoes on each corner to prevent it from flying around.
You place the picnic basket in the middle of the mat while Mark took a seat, enjoying the view. You took out all the food that you had prepared a few hours prior.
“Do you need help, babe?” you hear your husband ask from beside you.
You shake your head, “I’m good,”
After you had settled all the food down, you finally let your legs stretch before you, leaning your head on your husband’s shoulder.
Mark’s hand that was previously resting on the plastic picnic mat, finds yours, lacing his fingers with you, “this is nice isn’t it?”
You nod, letting out a satisfied hum. You point towards his phone, “I think you have some songs prepared for this particular moment, am I right?”
“Oh, Mark do you actually have multiple playlists for different occasion?” one of the cast asks.
Mark nods sheepishly, “I think it just became a habit of mine,”
“I’m not surprised though- he is in the music industry after all, I think it is pretty common, right?”
“I suppose so? It just doesn’t feel right to me if the music doesn’t match with the vibes.”
Mark reaches out for his phone, clicking on a particular playlist called ‘when the sun’s out’. Soon, the first song started playing softly in the background.
A content sigh leaves your lips, “you know, if I had to choose one thing I’m grateful for you, it has to be your taste in music,” you tell him, quickly pressing your lips against his cheeks softly.
Mark turns red at your gesture, his hand clutching yours tighter.
“Now I’m curious, what is your favourite song at the moment,” one of them asks, turning to face Mark.
“I really like Justin Bieber a lot,” he answers, “But right now, I can’t stop listening to Good Days by SZA.”
An hour has past by, most of the food already gobbled up by you two.
“Babe,” Mark calls, poking you on the arm.
“Hm?”
“Aren’t you tired?” he asks you, “you woke up super early to make food.”
A soft smile spreads across your lips, “a little, why?”
Your husband softly pats his lap, “come lie down and nap a little. The wind feels really good right now,”
You cleaned everything up and made space for yourself. You comfortably laid your head on Mark’s lap.
“You know,” you started, “I really wish I could look at you right now, but the sun’s too bright.”
Mark rolls his eyes, “don’t be annoying and go to sleep,” he says, his finger softly flicking your cheek.
A soft laughter left you before you finally shut your eyes, dozing off quietly while laying in your lover’s lap.
Once Mark realises that you were asleep, he quietly raises his hands to cover your face from the sun.
“Awww! You are such a romantic, Mark!”
When you realise the bright light was gone, you open an eye to look at your lover who was looking at his phone, with his hand still high up to cover you from the bright sun.
A smirk adorns your lips, your eyes shutting close. You grab his hands, startling your husband. Lacing your fingers with his, you bring them down to your chest.
“I don’t want your arms to be in pain,” you mumble, stroking his hands with your thumb.
You hear Mark scoff at your statement, “I think I can handle it, babe. But, whatever you say.”
A few moments later, you feel his sculpted hands playing with your hair. He would occasionally massage your scalp or tangle your hair between his fingers.
You didn’t say a word, feeling comfortable.
The episode ended with Mark pressing a long kiss on your forehead, before pulling away.
“This couple is too cute!”
“It’s really unfair that I’m still single, this couple makes me want to get married so bad!” one of them agrees.
Episode 35
“After a long time, the couple is finally back again for another episode!” the cast says excitedly, “the last time they were here, the couple went on a romantic picnic date, leaving us all with envy!”
Mark laughs at their comment.
The scene started with the both of you entering the SM building. You had a cap and a mask on, hopefully to cover your identity from the fans waiting outside.
Although the news of you guys being a married couple had came out a few months ago, there were times where you did not feel like getting your pictures taken. Which, to be honest, was a rare moment for you and Mark since he is one of the biggest boy group.
You held onto your husband’s hands who was leading the way to the practice room.
Once he finds an available room, Mark quickly puts his things down on an empty table.
“Okay, so first we need to do some stretching so we don’t hurt ourselves when we dance later,” Mark tells you.
“Why did you want to dance?”
“To be honest, I really hate working out,” you tell them truthfully, “so I asked Mark if he could teach me some dance choreography,”
“Are you good at dancing?”
You laugh, “absolutely not! I have never danced in my life, so this is my first time.”
“She’s too adorable!”
“Babe, can we do something super easy?” you request, taking off your cap since it was covering your vision.
Your husband nods, “yeah, we’re gonna do Kick It today.”
You wince at that. Kick It is the easiest he could think of? You didn’t say anything, following whatever your husband says.
“Okay, so, we won’t do like- the whole choreography,” your husband enunciate. Just as you were about to let out a relieved sigh, Mark continues, “we’ll do from the first chorus onwards.”
Your mouth went wide.
The casts laugh at your reaction.
“Okay, so the chorus kinda goes like this-” he shows you, looking at you through the mirror, “you know it right? you’ve done it before,”
You were at a loss of words, “I mean- I guess? But it’s not perfect so you still have to teach me!” you whine.
Why is he going so fast? you though to yourself.
“Okay, okay,” he chuckles.
For the next few hours, Mark teaches you the choreography step by step.
Your husband was standing behind you, his hands resting on yours, positioning your hands at the right position.
However, you ruined the romantic moment by stepping away from the male and turning to face him with furrowed eyebrows.
The casts let out a series of grumbled sighs.
“Why did Y/N step out? It was such a romantic moment!”
“Exactly!” the other adds on.
“Can we please take a break?” you whine, wiping the sweat that was rolling down your forehead, “I’m so tired,” you huff out, throwing yourself at your husband as he captures you in his arms.
Mark chuckles, agreeing. He grabs your hand, pulling you to sit down on the empty chair. He quickly runs to the other side of the room to grab two bottles of water, opening one of them and passing it to you.
He opens one for himself before gulping half of the bottle down his throat.
After you had gulped the whole bottle down, you tried to catch your breath. “I didn’t know it would be this tiring,” you confess, “is this what you go through everyday?”
The boy chuckles, “yeah, but a shorter period.”
You roll your eyes at his statement, “Okay, show-off,” you joke.
Meanwhile, in the background, Kick It was playing on repeat. An idea pop in your head.
“Wanna know something?” you asked your boyfriend.
He nods.
“I’ve been practicing your rap part of this song,” you tell him, “I can rap your part word for word without any mistakes,” you say arrogantly, a smirk forming on your lips.
“Oh yeah?” he challenges, “my part is coming up, I would love to see you try, babe.”
You stand up from your sitting position with your bottle of water in hand. Getting ready for the verse, you bring your hand that was holding the bottle to your mouth- pretending it was a mic.
“I’m really excited to see Y/N rap,”
“Me too, she seems so confident,” the other adds on.
When the verse started playing, you rapped your husband’s part.
Mark started laughing hysterically when you started mumbling random words. “Dude!” your husband laughs, his hand slapping his knee multiple times when you rap incoherently.
His laughter only ceased when the music stopped. “Oh my god,” he says breathlessly, his fingers wiping the tears from his eyes. “I think you should replace me in NCT,” he jokes.
Just as you were about to reply, you heard a group come in. You turn around swiftly, your eyes widening when you see the familiar girls walk in.
“Oh, oh,” Wendy cheers, “what’s the couple doing in the practice room alone?”
“Oh my god, is that Red Velvet?” one of them asks, looking over at Mark with widened eyes.
Mark laughs and nods his head.
“Oh.. perhaps, you could ask them for their autograph the next time you see them,” they ask sheepishly, “my bias is Seulgi,” they quickly add on.
Mark laughs harder at that, “sure, if I see them around, I’ll make sure to ask for their autograph,”
“Oh hello,” you greet the girls, they bow politely back at you.
Your husband chuckles awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck as he greets the girls. “I’m just practicing with Y/N”
Mark never got the chance to properly meet them in private- it was either with his members or never. Hence, he felt a little nervous seeing them in private.
Irene raises her eyebrows, “are you guys performing for something?” she asks, pointing at the both of you.
You shake your head, “I just wanted to learn for fun,”
Wendy nods, “are you guys going to practice some more?” she asks, looking at the both you expectantly, “cause’, if you guys want to, go ahead. Our choreographer is going to be late so we have time to spare.”
Mark checks the time on his watch before shaking his head, realising it was already pretty late and didn’t want to disturb the girls with their schedule.
“No, it’s fine, we have to go anyway. I don’t want to steal your hour,” he says politely.
Ever since Mark had debut years ago, it was very hard for this group to book the practice room. So, whenever they managed to get the room, they would often use the room until the next person comes in.
You and Mark start packing up your things as the girls settle down and starts stretching.
The girls bid the both of you goodbyes as you quickly left the room.
“Oh my god,” you gasped, your hands clutching onto your husband’s arm as he looks at you in astonishment. “I just met Red Velvet,” you say to the boy next to you.
You hit his arm multiple times, “I literally met Red Velvet! I even talked to them, babe!” you squealed, hitting his arms harder. That was until Mark grabbed your hands for you to stop hitting his poor arm.
“Y/N hasn’t met Red Velvet?” they ask. Mark shakes his head, no. “Why not?”
“I knew she liked Red Velvet but she never really asked me if she could meet them,” Mark explains, “and we had this conversation before- meeting the other people in my company,”
“What about?”
“Y/N told me that she didn’t want to take advantage of my privilege, even though when I told her it was fine,” Mark explains. “So she never really asked about wanting to meet Red Velvet, or any of the other people in my company.”
“Jeez- babe,” he chuckles, putting your hand down and instead wrapping his arm around your shoulder, tugging you closer to him. “You were never that excited when you see me,” he jokes.
The both of you reach the ground floor, stepping out of the elevator.
“That’s because you’re not the prettiest girl group in the world!” you reply cheekily, a smirk playing on your lips.
“How long have you been a fan of Red Velvet?”
You hum, thinking back all the years you have been listening to their songs and collecting their PC Cards.
“I think it was a few months after debut?” you doubtfully reply. “It was when I had just came to Korea for school and one of their music was playing in a store, and I really liked it!”
Episode 43
“Ah, our Mark Lee! Where did you go?” the cast whined, tugging on his arms.
Mark cackle shyly, hiding his face slightly, “I’ve been very busy these days~” he says shyly, “my group had just finished promoting our recent full album,” he explains.
The casts cheers.
“I heard you guys won first for many awards!” one of them says, “congratulations to NCT! As expected, our talented group with many talents and visuals,” they compliment.
“Thank you,” Mark gives his signature grin, “actually, I felt bad for not being able to come on here for so long, so I actually brought our albums to gift it to you guys,” Mark says, reaching for the stacks of albums in the bag.
He hands each one of them the signed and personalised albums to the casts.
“I can’t wait to listen to this!”
“Is Y/N featuring in any of the songs?” they joke.
This time, the show started with you in the kitchen. You were cooking dinner since some of his members were coming over.
Mark on the other hand was sitting in the living room. He was seated on the floor, with papers spread all over the table. He had one of his hand holding a pen, swirling it around, while the other was pressed against his cheek.
“I wanted to produce a song with my own lyrics for this upcoming album,” Mark explains to the cast since they seemed to be a little confused.
“Have you produced a song with your own lyrics before?”
He nods, “I have, but I received help from others. This time I want to make a song that only has my own lyrics,” Mark explains.
“I never really got to ask an idol this question- but, is it hard to have your songs to be featured in an album?” one of them asks.
The spotlight was on Mark.
Mark nods, “it really depends. They usually focus on the music itself- since lyrics can be changed, but if the lyrics are too personal, most of the time they don’t really let you put it in a group album.”
“Did your song manage to be in the album?” one asks.
“Nope,” mark chuckles.
The casts laughs with Mark.
“Because it was too personal?”
Mark simply shrugs, and points at the screen to continue watching.
A heavy sigh leaves past the boy’s lips. He was staring blankly at the piece of paper.
The camera manages to capture everything that was written on the piece of paper. Messy scribbles was the only thing that could be seen.
“Babe,” you called. Mark quickly looks up at you, a pout on his lips. “Make sure you clean the table before the guys come,” you tell him, pointing to the mess on the coffee table.
This morning, Johnny had contacted Mark saying that he misses him and wants to visit. You quickly agreed, since you haven’t seen the boys in so long.
He hums, slamming his head softly on the coffee table, a groan coming out of him when he hit his forehead a little too hard.
A small chuckle left your lips when you heard his groans, “inspiration will come, babe,” you advise as you wipe the plates, “be patient.”
Mark turns his head so his cheek was pressed against the table as he stares at you.
“You look so pretty,” Mark mumbles, but you hear him clearly.
“Does Mark compliment you often?”
You nod slightly, “I wouldn’t say, all the time,” you exaggerate, “but it was definitely enough for me to know he loves me,” you giggle.
Mark continues to stare at you as you work on the food you were making. He was so deeply in love with you that sometimes he wonders what life would be like if he never met you.
He lays his eyes on you for the next 15 minutes. It definitely didn’t go unnoticed by you- but you had forgotten about it once you were properly focused on cutting the onions.
With heart eyes, a sweet smile spreads across your husbands lips.
The casts all coo at the romantic scene.
Mark finally sits up straight. With a grin plastered on his face, he grabs a clean sheet of paper and starts writing his feelings down. Surprisingly, he didn’t need a break, he continued writing for the next 30 minutes, satisfied with the lyrics.
“Did you write a song about Y/N?”
Mark nods, “I did, it was mostly how I felt about being with her.”
“Earlier you said that the song didn’t manage to be in the album, will you be posting the song on another platform?”
Mark scratches his head, uncertain, “I’ll have to ask my company about that,” he jokes.
Episode 47
“We’re finally back with our favourite couple! How are you, Mark?”
“Just fine, I’m preparing some things with my group, so I have been a little busy now a days,” Mark replies.
The casts sighs, “you’ve been working really hard, Mark.”
Mark simply chuckles awkwardly, unsure of what to say.
The show started with you sitting on the familiar chair in the building.
“Oh? The chair seems familiar?”
You had one of your legs crossed over the other with your right hand, holding your phone. You were scrolling through Instagram, hoping it would lessen your boredom.
After a few minutes, you put your phone down when you realised you’ve been scrolling for minutes now, but nothing had caught your eye on your feed. You let out an exhausted sigh, resting the palm of your hand against your cheek.
15 minutes later, your eyes widen when you see the familiar boys step out of the elevator.
You quickly stand up, walking up to the boys.
“Y/N!” they called, “oh my god, it has been forever since I last saw you!”
You giggle. Your eyes search for your husband but he was no where to be seen.
“He’s still upstairs, talking to the producer,” Johnny says when he notices you looking around.
You send him a smile, “I see. Are you guys going back home now?”
The rest of the boys were already walking away after tapping your shoulder to bid you goodbye without interrupting your conversation with Johnny.
“Jungwoo and Yuta are going to get dinner, the rest of us are heading home- it has been a long day, we’re all exhausted,” Johnny says dramatically.
The boy never fails to make you smile, “I know, Mark told me about your schedule.”
Johnny smiles, “also, Mark had a rough day,” he tells you. Your eyebrows raised in curiosity. You wondered what had happen.
“Did you know that Johnny had told Y/N about your day?”
He shakes his head, “I didn’t know, but I am thankful for him for always looking out for me.”
It was only 30 minutes later when you saw your husband step out of the elevator. Instead of his usual jog, he was stomping towards your direction. With the way he was walking and the all black outfit- it made him look even more intimidating then he already was.
Johnny was right, he definitely had a bad day today.
“Hi, baby,” you say softly, when he finally stands in front of you. You softly rub his arm, hoping it would calm him down a little, “you okay?”
Mark only hums, tugging on his bag when you attempt to take it from him. “i’ll carry it,” he says. You kept quiet, not wanting to worsen his temper.
The both of you quietly walk out of the building.
“Can we take a walk?” you ask, looking up at your husband.
He looks down at you and raises his eyebrows. Truthfully, he was already exhausted, but he would do anything you wanted. Mark shrugs, going with the flow.
The both of you started your walk in silence. Your husband had both hands tucked in his pockets with his lips pursed. You took multiple glances at the boy, wondering how you should comfort him.
After hesitating for a while, you wait until he has his hands out of his pockets. When you notice that he finally has his warm hands untucked, you instantly grab it in yours.
A smile form on your lips, when you hold on tightly onto his hands.
“Aw, she was trying to comfort you!”
“Wanna talk about it?” you speak up, tightening your grip on his hands.
Mark smiles, “not really, just thankful that I have you,” he says. You feel his thumb softly stroke the back of your hand, “you’re too good to me, Y/N.”
You scoff, “what do you mean? You are literally my soulmate, whenever you fall, I go down with you,” you reassure him. You nudge his shoulder with yours, “I’ll always be the shoulder you can lean on. No matter how bad it is, I’ll always be by your side.”
“How do you usually comfort Mark during his bad days?”
“He doesn’t talk about his feelings often,” you say, letting out a short chuckle. “But it’s pretty obvious, he isn’t very discreet with his emotions,” you laugh, nudging the boy next to you.
“Depending on how bad it is, I would try to leave him alone until he calls out for me.”
“Why won’t you talk about how you feel?”
“I have always grown up with this mindset- never give off negative energy to anyone who hasn’t done anything wrong,” he blurts out. “I feel like a burden whenever I would talk about my problems to anyone- not just Y/N.”
“I feel very thankful whenever he talks about his problems,” you say to the camera. “I feel proud that I am the one he could lean on.”
Episode 50
“Mark Lee is back!”
Series of claps could be heard from the room.
“I heard you had received multiple awards from MAMA!”
Another agrees, “that’s right! NCT won Favourite Male Group and Worldwide Fans' Choice Top 10! Congratulations to NCT!”
Another series of claps filled the room.
“Thank you so much! My group wouldn’t have received the award without all the loving support from all my fans,” Mark expresses his gratitude.
The show started with you sitting on the couch comfortably. You were deeply concentrated on watching something in front of you.
“What is she watching?”
The camera zooms out until the casts takes notice the television planted on the wall. The casts recognizes the ceremony playing on the television.
You were waiting for your husband’s group to start performing so you can take videos and pictures.
After watching the ceremony, you recognize the introduction to one of your husband’s songs. You sit up straight in excitement, fishing out your phone, ready to film his performance.
You had purposely took bad photos of your husband so you could laugh at them later with him.
15 minutes later, the performance ended. Even though you’re backstage, you still softly clapped at the end of his performance.
“Everytime I see Mark perform, I feel so shocked that we have such a talented guy on our show,” one of them says, making Mark chuckle.
“He was born to be a star,” another comments.
After a few more performances by other groups, it was time for the award ceremony.
You were extremely anxious for this. You hoped all the times that Mark had came home in the middle of the night only to leave again early in the morning or how he would injure himself but would still perform with full energy for his fans would be worth it.
You bit your lip anxiously, your palms had turned sweaty from the long wait of the awaited name.
“The Best Male Group of 2020 goes to...” the announcer trails off, opening the card that held the winner.
“Congratulations to BTS for being the Best Male Group of the year!”
You let out a huff, throwing your head back tiredly.
“You seemed really stressed,”
You nod, agreeing with them, “truthfully, I have seen Mark work really hard this year. It pained me to see him suffer so much and not being able to tell anyone.”
“Next, let’s see the nominated groups for Favourite Male Group!” says the announcer. The screen fills with different groups with their names.
You take a deep breath, sitting up again to watch the ceremony. Your lips purse in concentration.
“The Favourite Male Group of 2020 goes to...” the announcer trails off, opening the golden card.
A smile forms on their lips, “Congratulations to NCT for being the Favourite Male Group of 2020!”
You let out a gasp, looking at the stylists who was also watching the ceremony.
“Oh my god!” you squeal, “they said NCT, right? I didn’t hear it wrongly, right?” you ask everyone in the room.
The stylists nods, “its NCT!”
Your hand goes over your mouth in shock.
“Her reaction is so adorable,”
You watch the boys walk up on stage. Taeyong is the one to step forward to give his speech, followed by Johnny in english.
Finally your husband steps up.
“Wow,” he starts, his fans starts to scream louder. “this is so crazy. I want to start by thanking Lee Sooman for giving me the opportunity to be part of NCT. Next, thank you to our stylist and coordinator for the awesome outfits- we would never be able to win this award without the unique outfits and make up!”
He takes a deep breathe, “and of course, our dearest fans. Thank you for always supporting us, and giving us the opportunity to be on stage with this award,” he smiles when he hears his fans cheers. “Lastly, my wife who has always been by my side even during my ugliest side. Thank you for never giving up on me always bringing the best out of me.”
A grin forms on your lips, you soon became flustered from the coos coming from around you.
“I can’t wait to meet our little one soon. I love you, Y/N. Thank you,” he ends his speech, stepping off stage.
“Wait! What do you mean little one?!”
“I have been pregnant for 15 weeks now,” you say happily. “We have been trying for a baby for a while now, and we are officially having a kid soon!”
The whole casts starts freaking out.
“Why didn’t you tell us?!” they scolded Mark.
“We would like to ask the fans for the upmost support,” Mark adds. “With that, this would be our last episode as a We Got Married Couple.”
“This is a huge surprise!”
“We had so much memories on the show,” Mark admits.
“I had such a fun time on here, but for now, Mark and I had agreed that we want to put all of our focus on our baby,” you added.
“Wow... this is a happy ending,” the casts says.
“We would like to thank Mark Lee and Y/N for their contribution to the show,” they added.
“We really enjoyed watching you and Y/N being cute!”
“Thank you so much,” Mark bow, “it was an honour to come on this show,” Mark says, “I had so much fun, thank you so much for everything.”
“Thank you so much Mark. We hope you have a wonderful journey from now on and congratulations to your first child!”
