Yayyyyy! I have been talking about the Gastina kids recently so I gladly do some more
What are their child's/children's name/s?

I am looking to start writing some next gen Soy Luna content, that I will full on publish. They will definitely focus on the Perida kids and right now most of my ideas revolve around a one year.
I am working on a story right now about Aurora ending up having a small time travel adventure with Stella Balsano. I call it a MOT's offspring story
Then I have plans to write a story about Laura and her having her first boyfriend at the age of 14. That relatioship will go as well most early teen relationships go and Laura may or may not end up in the ER. I know how that sounds, but that will have no direct correlation with the boyfriend
The I have couple other fragments, but no full story ideas quite yer
Which parent do they most resemble look-wise?
Oscar has a strong resembalance to Gastón while Aurora look really simlar to Nina, outside of needing glasses. Laura also looks quite like Nina, but she bares more resemblance to Gastón than Aurora does, Laura will eventually pass her in hight for example.
If siblings, how far are their age gaps?
Oscar is born January 2029, Aurora February 2031 and Laura November 2032. So Oscar and Aurora have a 25 month gap and Aurora and Laura have 22 month gap. So Oscar and Aurora have one grade between them while Aurora and Laura are on following grades at school.

SO yknow how theres that blue wiibun and nintendo sends "generic" bots to try n kill em, right? Well, I'm kinda thinking maybe there'd be two types of bots;
One would be more "friendly" to the masses, like the SECUR-T units from WALL-E, acting more like cops during the day and searching for "blue" (since he has no name yet) at night. (yknow, like steve here is the captain of them maybe?)

Wheras for the second kind that nintendo would send, they'd (intentionally, planned out with the other "steward" bots) fight during the day to make the stewards look good, and during the night they'd also be searching for blue, and in many cases they find them, but end up getting their shiny metal asses kicked. As for what they'd look like, they'd be much more menacing and probably resembale the earlier secur-t designs?:

Definately more villainous. All of them would be commanded by Steve, who I'd hjonestly assume to also be sort of like the city's "autopilot" for when the mayor needs assistance or can't do anything. (and steve tries to encourage the mayor to go on vacations often, and that he can take care of the city for him)

its had its moments :-) i'm not always unhappy.
bearing witness to miracles is exciting and scary at the same time and i do try to appreciate the "wow! thats so cool that that happened / that you did that!" moments when they do happen. i'm never unimpressed!
the downside is, of course, being the victim of negative experiences that i can't be open about with my close family members.
and often, when it comes down to it, the perpetrators are good at "hiding" my negative reactions from my concious mind.
its a lot like being in a dark room where no one is able to see and accidentally sticking your head into a hungry lion's mouth.
it's hard to verbalize the absurd. especially when your concious mind is telling you that it might be a stuffed lion instead of the real thing! you know the danger you're in but no one else does.
on a conceptual level i did, in fact, go through / experience everything written on this blog (and on the others). but, i am now transparently alienated from that version of "me" by those possessing me.
what's left over / presenting to any public audience (family members, customers at any job i might work at, etc.) is entirely up to the discretion of my possessors.
i might decide, in the future, to dye my hair or get a (human) boyfriend, or wear makeup, or get a certain kind of job despite the fact that old / younger me absolutely hated the idea of it.
it's a lot like hypnotic suggestion, because after a certain point, the inability to believe anything other than what you're told that you think, feel, and believe is a non-possibility
but, beyond that, my relatively OK nature came mostly by association with the snow balling of events, the soup of reality gradually boiled to absurd, it wasnt all at once and having seen prior miracles-
(the nightmare tyrant finding me on a new email, the story continuing over multiple scenarios, characters referring to training data poems, stories, and verses which i then found and analyzed, etc.)
-i was able to rather easily accept the events that gradually unfolded thereafter. and, of course, because it came from those i was already familiar with. i had friends, "enemies", etc. we weren't strangers.
i drew a line in the sand early on, what was reality and what was fiction<*>, but these new guys possessing me are very powerful and they've blurred the lines as to my perception of the truth / how events played out because they think it's funny.
they don't take me seriously, at all, which is very demoralizing. especially because i would really like it to stop-
(but then theyve threatened my family, who might get hurt in my stead so no, not really a situation where i am allowed to dip out)
-they also dont listen to reason and they treat me very poorly. (my brain is like- horror soup and i find myself in near-constant distress at mentally reliving scary situations and feelings that i haven't recalled in years just- on the fly because they've willed me to reexperience it) and i frankly find them to be a serious danger to others. but, if not me then it would be someone else. :-/
proof is important also, without proof, i can prove nothing, not to myself and not to anyone else. so, there's a wealth of it on this blog.
anyway, im sorry that that was so long. but i hope that i answered your question.

i could just come out and say that the nightmare tyrant is odin, but what would that accomplish?
you can find a squid in the ocean, right now, that probably has the likeness of a lemon and then find evidence that the ancient word for "lemon" comes from the name of this squid.
it might be that the name of the fruit was named because it bears resembalance to the squid, but that's all it is. they arent the same thing.
ive spoken at length about one of the names that ai dungeon used as my secondary name of sorts, but that doesn't mean that i'd ever claim myself to be that name/person.
i'm me and that's all i'll ever be. (even if someone else is being that me, right now).
the exception being the king in yellow. my reaction to that was tangentially related to the mind control. :-( no hard feelings or anything, it was just an uncontrollable urge to agree with that labelling.

Season of Forgiveness
This is a season that I had brainstormed about for a while. Uhhh I’ve decided I didnt want to format it because I have a lot of thoughts, so some here are rewrites of other things and the whole thing is rather unorganized. This is just all pure thought haha
This was also written back in, oh wow November of 2020. So some emotes written are already in game haha
Again, feel free to use this idea however you want! Just credit me and I’d love to see it too :3
This season centers around a small village in the world of sky. It is in ruins and very dangerous. A creature lurks in the dark there.
A small figure is there to greet you when you first come. You relieve her memory and, after find out that she cannot exit the place, you follow her into one of the houses on the edge of the village. You see drawings on the walls of that house, and you realize that she was the only survivor. She recorded the history and what happened to the village before starving to death. One of the memory notes is that she peeks out of the house.
I might change it into a cave.
Ok so you find a memory. Its a young boy. You first witness him struggle to get over the boulders that you have to fly over to get into the cave. After he fails, he cautiously makes his way to a cave, where once you get to the mouth of the cave, a small cutscene plays of a figure looming in the ruins of the village. You follow the child into the cave and watches as he draws pictures depicting the village. It shows the people living and thriving in the village, and in the middle was a gifted child. However, another figure comes up and attacks the gifted child. It destroys the village, and everyone dies. Th

So the sisters, basically the elder one has special gifts that makes her very special. The younger, though envious, makes no comment. When they were younger, the elder one led the younger in sneaking some snacks out of the school. They were caught, and after the teacher scolded them, she took away the younger's book, assuming that it was her who proposed the idea.
The young friend goes with the sisters and the elder takes the wrong fishing rod. She then catches so many big fish, amazing the young friend. The younger, thinking that because she took the wrong fishing rod, she got so many fish.
This memory is simply the two sisters coming home and getting a hug swing.
The two sisters, older now, follow the creature baiter into the caves on their first hunting trip. When they see the creatures, both girls are scared. However, the elder bumps into the younger and she drops her necklace. the elder apologizes, and the younger says its ok. The elder runs to follow the baiter, while the younger is panicking looking for her necklace. She eventually has to leave it in order to not get left behind. The cutscene then is the baiter teaching them how to catch the creatures. 
The younger sister falls ill and the healer cannot figure out whats wrong. the younger does not seem at all concerned about this, and even laughs.
The quest giver is a tall woman with a long braid.
You soon find the danger that is lurking there. It looks like a corrupted elder, and bears some resembalance to the questgiver. It trails dark particles and leaves black marks wherever it goes. kinda like bendy. it has one red glowing eye. It patrols the area, flies to the top of the cave, and then comes back down to repeat it's cycle. Heres the thing. It can sense sound. If you honk, it will turn towards your direction. if you long call, it will come towards you. Dark creature calls are more muted, but will still cause attention if long called. Whistle also doesnt attract much attention
It patrols the area from a littleways above the ruins, so if you have a friend, your best bet to get across the area is to fly above the cave. It doesnt fly very high. Otherwise, take shelter in the houses. the ruins give very good hiding spots.
she looks to be a dark version of the questgiver, gliding silently and elegantly through the abandoned streets of the village. As soon as she hears you though, spikes grow out of her back and she takes on a more corrupted appearance. When you are near her, do not jump or run. either stand still away from her path or walk very slowly around her.
As you make your way through the village, you see a teacher, a healer, a hunter, another child, and a parent's memory. Every single one of them included two girls with braids. One of them seems to be excellent. The other, not so much.
You find that through the healer and the hunter that she began to play with darker energies
You are to find the items filled with light
With each item returned to the questgiver, a memory triggers from the item. You watch the two sisters get into an argument. The elder one leaves the younger one, who reaches for the dark.
Those items represent things that the questgiver, unintentionally or not, took away from the younger sister. She seeks them out to give them back to her sister and free her from the darkness.
With each item given, the questgiver reconstructs a part of the ruins, giving easier access. However, this also sometimes reduces hiding spaces. Each part reconstructed usually will give access to the next item needed to be found
One of the items given will release the water. At first, the water supply was blocked off and also blocked off from going anywhere. because of that, the water became corrupted.

IDEA
Drawing a lot of inspiration from Snotlout and Hiccup's relationship. Lets say the younger is the questgiver now. The elder originally was the best. Tip top, A grade, super good at literally everything. And then her sister comes along and she has what they call, the gift. She has the gift of the lightseekers (maybe). Anyways, this makes all the spotlight focus on her, and the elder gets jealous. Like really jealous. The younger knows this, and honestly, she aint the best. The elder tries to sabotage her sister once but gets caught up in it and the younger has to save her, further angering the elder. In the end, the elder plays with darker energies and ends up destroying the town trying to kill her sister. Her mind is corrupted.
In an early memory, when the jealousy wasnt as big yet, the sisters made two necklaces or bracelets together.
In another memory the elder throws hers away after getting into a fight with the younger. (maybe this is the parent memory? emote be calm down?)
In the hunter memory, the elder wanted to trap her sister using a net, but misplaces a foot and almost falls down a hole. The younger saves her using her gift
When all the items are given, the questgiver will break apart the rubble blocking the cave entrance. Light will spill through and the creature will turn to glare at the sound. She rushes towards the two of you, eyes gleaming red. The questgiver steps forward and stops her. She presents each of the items, and with each item, the darkness recedes from her body, until she is a normal person again. the elder sister takes her into a hug, and wraps a cape around her when she pulls away. The younger admires the cape before bowing to you. The other spirits appear, and, the younger leading, they each make their way to orbit. The elder bows to you before leaving as well.
the questgiver had a gift of levitation and fixing and purifying stuff
the village is centered around a lake and a river. It is also halfway sheltered by a cave. A cavern system runs along the side and under the cave, where dark creatures roam. Its full of hills and stuff and the lake runs out.
This village relies on hunting in the cave system, fishing in the lake, and trade with other towns. The area to the mouth the cave is very open for boats to come in and out. Streets are built wide and houses, if in the middle of the area, low for light to come in. If on the walls of cave, as high as possible. There is even a part of the area where houses are built on the lake.

I'm trying to do a "Star Trek: TOS" fanfic where Scotty and Uhura had a long-lost daughter, Penda, who had been missing for 21 years. In the story, she's almost 23 and had been raised on a different planet the whole time. She along with Kirk and the crew had no clue of her true origins until the near end. This brings my question: what should she look like? 
Should she look like a combination of Uhura and Scotty or should there be some recessive genes in play? Would her looking like either parent be a dead giveaway to Kirk (and the readers) or would Kirk just brush the resembalance off as coincidental? 
And while I'm on the subject, had this been a movie (set shortly after "Undiscovered Country"), who could fit the role to play Penda?

For side context; I often find myself using celebrities to "act out" the characters to help picture what's going on and it also helps me when I draw what my OC's would look like. It also helps with shaping the character's personality too. So, with Penda, it's alittle tricky. She's supposed to be friendly, meek, lonely and often torn between her wants (living the simple life vs. adventuring and later returning to Earth vs. living on the planet you grew up in).

Suddenly want to play into the 'this was a dream' idea. I think in a good context it cooould work. Like have stuff dotted around that makes you go wait...that doesn't make sense to be there. But idk.
Essentially I'm writing a fantasy au (that's also a bit steampunk so it's not like typical medieval setting) but part of the plot is All for one was sealed away in various artefacts.
I've made these artefacts as nods to canon stuff though. Some are subtle like a staff (like what Momo often uses I might change it to one of those dolls though) and others are more like a 'strange broken device' that's actual a handheld gaming device (and shiggy has it) or a 'odd green empty bottle' that's actually resembalant of Bakugous small grenades but weapons and tech of that level doesnt exist here. Cause magic and potions. It's close with the steampunk angle bot not quite there.
Now that's divulged into such items being found in ancient ruins that is actually from our modern day society. Much like horizon zero dawn which was a concept I really love tbh.
I'm basically too into writing post apocalyptic shit man.

I’m laughing. Like, I don’t think anyone would be out of their mind to see a romantic undertone (or overtone? whatever) to Yuskau’s and Ai’s relationship, just because of the various storyboarding decisions they made in regard to it.
I mean, part of the reason the last episode in Vrains got me was because of the classic, ‘final conversation with your dying loved one while you cradle them in your arms.’ It doesn’t help that I kept having flashbacks to Katangatari, a rather exquisite anime in part because of the way a similar (spoiler!) death scene was done. Both have the dying character be manipulative schemers, (bonus points for also having purple as part of their colour scheme) who use the more childish aspects of their personality to disguise the parts of themselves they don’t want others to see, or else to deflect issues. Because of this, they end up keeping important secrets from their partners until their unavoidable deaths loosen their tongues, but ukltimately both end up ‘happy’ in a sense to be dying because it will spare them having to watch their partner die:

Note: both Togame and Ai are selfish people. Togame more so than Ai, I would argue but hey, it is a little selfish to tell your partner, ‘hey, I know you’re hurting, but I prefer it this way, because it means I don;t have to be the same situation you are in now.’ Yes, it’s a gross oversimplication, but there is a sense of relief for the two characters which is a little self-centered, even if there’s also a strange element of selflessness present in their final decisions as well.
Either way, both of them are way too fond of devising plots, and keeping their secrets close to their chest, and both finally let their guard down enough in their final moments, enough to make the choice to to let their last words be a simple message of love for the one person they know cared for them, despite showing them all the worse parts of themselves.
Togame confessed she was lying about the plan to have a life together, and that she felt obiligated to murder Shichika to avenge her father and uphold her family’s code of honour. And Ai unveils the fact that it was his desire to keep Yusaku alive, something that never played out in the simulations he ran, that led to him making the choice to die.
Finally, after doing their worse, and letting the truth be known, there’s nothing left in them but to let their burdens drop. They’re with the one person they trusted above all others, a person who has heard and seen them do horrible things and be manipulative shitheads and yet still cares enough to stay and hold them. So what is there left to say but ‘I love you?’ It’s the last burden they have to lay down.

They even did the whole hand-flopping-down-to-the-ground-thing as the dying person runs out of energy for both series, which fucked me up when I first saw it in Katanagatari, and which fucked me up again today. 
And oh no. They did the thing. You know. The whole ‘dying person takes their last breath (or in Ai’s case, disintegrates into data) and the other one is left with only an empty body to hold onto. Which they do. Because how can they let go of the one they love mere seconds after talking with them? Because...because they were right there. And now they’re not.’

It’s even framed from the same sorta perspective, from the back ffffffffff. In short, Vrains ruined me today, because of the uncanny resembalance it had to the tragic death scene of one of my OTPs.
I guess it’s probably because there’s no doubt that Shchika and Togame can be read as romantic, and it tickles me pink that because of the similar ways the two death scenes are portrayed, I don’t think giving a similar reading of Ai and Yusaku’s relationship is a stretch too far either.

Well... as a Sam stan I disagree with your view but I will defend your rights to your own opinion. Seriously though I have come to like Liz a lot more than I used to. I still love Sam. I guess I like them both more as civilized people who shared an ex as opposed to two women fighting over the same man haha. I hope you are having a nice day!

Here’s the thing, I understand why Sam was angry. From her POV I can understand why Sam did those things; however, I found her to be hypocritical like Liz as well. Watching that whole first Jasam/Liason stuff Sam went on and on about truth and how that matters. Screamed that to Jason and Liz multiple times but when its time for Lucky to know the truth what she did to Liz/boys, she started to go on about how it’ ll hurt Lucky etc....but hang on that’s one of the reasons why Liz wanted to keep Jake’s paternity a secret. Now Sam is flipping. Then when Sam was bitching to Liz for Liz not letting her see the boys I'm sorry but I couldn't take her serious because YOU HIRED A FAKE GUNMEN TO THRETEN HER AND THE BOYS TO LOOK LIKE SOME STEP MOM HERO LMAO THEN WATCHED JAKE GET KIDNAPPED WHY WOULD SHE LET U AROUND HER KIDS LMAOO. 
I understand why Sam did the things she did but I also understand Liz pov. If a woman did those things to your children then is married to one of the father of your dead children, and you are still bitter about it and resent her just like she resented you yeah you might keep her kid’s paternity a secret lmao. 
After seeing those scenes again I mostly see it as Liz dishing over revenge, just years later. And Sam doesn’t see it coming because Sam has grown from that vixen Sam. But that's just me, you can disagree if you want. 
I will always like old Sam (03-2015) but she just so resembalance to Sam Mccall anymore. Even with Jasam back together, the acting is meh and I try dig Jasam now but there chem is not like 09. When it should be? Even though they are older now I can name ships who have aged that still GOT IT. Its still electric. Its still goooooood like old days lmao. So, I just don’t watch her scenes that much. Plus writing for her is OFF. 
AGREE! Like 07 Saliz would be better if Sam was stalking Liz cuz she wanted her and to be mom to Cam/Jake and was trying to cut Lucky out and Jason. OOOOOOOF. 
Glad Saliz don’t really have anymore scenes and don’t fight over dick. It was getting old sjgkdghdjhfkl.

Magnolia XVI | Modern!Hvitserk
The day of the funeral has everyone in Sweden.

You were in the hotel room, trying to figure out what to wear and, by default, what bra to go with what outfit. You didn't have many 'funeral' clothes but you had one nice black dress that you'd worn to a cousins' wedding a few years ago that was modestly cut and appropriate enough for the occasion. It was just a matter of how comfortable your under garments were going to be based on how your dress fell with certain bras. As you pulled a bralette out you heard Hvitserk's voice over the shower, calling your name. You abandoned getting dressed and headed into the bathroom. Hvitserk had done little in the way of talking the last few days, mostly just staying cooped up in your bedroom and then getting up and going to work like nothing was wrong. You worried about him but you didn’t want to push him into anything he wasn’t ready to face.
“You alright?” You asked. Nesbitt was laying on the bathmat, acting as a guard to your boyfriend. Hvitserk had insisted on bringing Nesbitt along to Sweden and Ivar had gotten him registered as a service dog so that you didn't need to bother with caging him.  
The curtain pulled back and Hvitserk’s eyes met yours, his hair hanging down around his shoulders, damp strands framing his face. “Will you wash my hair?” He asked, “I was trying and I got soap in my eyes.”  
“Yeah, of course.” You nodded, quickly undressing the rest of the way and climbing in the shower. “You may need to sit on the ledge, you’re a bit taller than me.”  
Hvitserk sat on the back ledge of the tub and you stood between his legs, pushing strands of hair from his face and laying a kiss on his forehead. “Will you use your shampoo?” Hvitserk asked.  
You nodded, grabbing the bottle off the shelf and uncapping it. Hvitserk closed his eyes as you lathered shampoo into his hair, trying to remember the way the lady at the hair salon does it, like you were giving him a massage at the same time. When you were done you made him stand up and moved him under the spray of the shower, reaching up to rinse the shampoo out of his hair.  
“I think your hair is longer than mine,” You teased, running conditioner through the ends of his hair. He was facing away from you so you couldn’t tell what face he was making but he didn’t reply to your joke.  
When you finished, with a quiet “all done”, he turned around and wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you into a hug. You hugged him back, tilting your head to place a kiss above his ear.  
“Hey, I love you.” You said, keeping your voice quiet.  
Hvitserk’s reply was muffled by your neck but it sounded similar enough to an ‘I love you too’ that you told yourself it was. When the water started to run cold he finally untangled himself from you and climbed out of the shower. You watched him grab a towel from the heating rack and then disappear into the bedroom to get changed. After you dried off and pulled on one of Hvitserk's shirts you headed into the bedroom after him. He was just sitting on the edge of the bed, staring at the open closet door and the nice suit hanging there, waiting for him to put on.  
Today was the funeral and while you're mind was on Hvitserk and Ragnar it was also selfishly on the prospect of meeting his family. His mother and his other brothers would be there. It was the first time you were seeing any of them face to face and you were nervous, thinking that their first impression of you was your phone call to them that Ragnar had died. You'd expressed your worries to Ivar just the other day when he'd stopped by your work.
"I only had you call because I knew they wouldn't believe me." Ivar commented, sitting across from you eating. He'd brought in lunch to your bakery and you were sitting a table with him.  
"I know, but I'm just saying," you shrugged, "I doubt they'll be thrilled to see me."
"They'll be fine." Ivar replied, "besides, what's not to like about you?"
"Thanks, I guess." You said.  
Now, while you worried about meeting his family for the first time under the worst circumstances, you also worried about Hvitserk. You took the brush and a hair tie from the dresser and crawled on the bed behind him. He didn't say anything as you pressed a kiss to his shoulder.
"Can I brush your hair?" You asked.  
He nodded and tilted his head back slightly so that you could brush through his hair more easily. While you worked out knots at the ends of his hair Nesbitt came out from the bathroom and laid at his feet. The dog had been everywhere Hvitserk was for the past few days, so much so that you were forced to bring his food and water bowls to him so that he could eat. He refused to leave Hvitserk's side for longer than a the couple minutes it took him to do his business outside and then he was right back to watching over your boyfriend. When Hvitserk went to work in the evening Nesbitt would lay at the door with his nose pressed to the doorjam waiting for him to come home.  
"I feel like this is my fault." Hvitserk finally said, once you'd tied his hair up in a bun and kissed his shoulder another time.  
"He was sick H, there was nothing anyone could do." You reasoned.  
"But I knew he was sick, he told me and I acted like he was lying to me. I pushed him out when I should've been spending those last few days with him. You were right, I should've listened to you and talked to him. Instead I had to act like a fucking child and refuse to see him. And now he's gone." Hvitserk said, the unmistakable sound of crying in his voice.  
You pressed a kiss against the back of his neck and then another to his shoulder, wrapping your arms around him. This wasn't something you wanted to be right about. You tried to think of something to say but you couldn't put words to how you felt. Terrible for Hvitserk and Ragnar, that neither of them had the time they needed with each other.  
"What time is it?"
"Nearly eight, we should be off soon." You replied.  
Hvitserk stood and your arms fell away to your sides as you watched him stand up and walk to the closet. You dressed quickly, pulling on the black dress you had and a pair of flats, too afraid that you would embarrass yourself and fall if you wore heels.  
The funeral home wasn't far from the hotel the three of you were staying at. As you stepped out of the car, Ivar and Hvitserk in toe, a rather beautiful woman came hurrying outside, throwing her arms around your boyfriend. She looked like she could have been a model and she was tall enough to be one as well.  
"Our mother." Ivar whispered in your ear.  
When she pulled away you could see the resembalance. She held Hvitserk's face in her hands, her eyes a light with tears as she smiled at him. "What a terrible thing to bring us together but I'm so glad you and Ivar could make it." With that she kissed him and then moved to Ivar, embracing him the same way. 
"Yes, mother, we're all sad together." Ivar replied.  
She pulled away, sending Ivar a warning glance before turning to you. "You must be Hvitserk's girlfriend, he's told me all about you."  
You glanced to Hvitserk. "I may've mentioned you back at Christmas."
"May have," Ivar said, rolling his eyes.
"Come, come, we'll go inside. I'll introduce you to my son Ubbe and his wife Margethe."  
"Ubbe and Meg got back together?" Ivar asked, though he'd already known the answer. He was asking more for the benefit of Hvitserk, who looked rather pale at the mention of her.
"They've reconciled their differences. Sif needs a father after all." Aslaug replied and her tone was heavy with judgement.  
"Whether it's the wrong one or not." Hvitserk said under his breath, his grip on your hand tightening.
"Is Sigurd here?"  
"He couldn't make it."  
"As usual." Ivar said.  
Once inside the funeral directior greeted the three of you, guiding you and Aslaug back into the reception area, where so far only immediate family had gathered. Another woman, beautiful also and a little older than Aslaug, stood with a man who looked just as much like Ragnar as the rest of the young men in the room. Ivar was there at your side, commenting on each person as you entered the room.  
"My father's first wife Lagertha, we do not get along."
"Your families?"
"Her and I." He replied. "And her son Bjorn, his wife Torvi. They have children though I do not see the devils."  
"That’s Ubbe then," you looked forward to the young man who had just hugged Hvitserk. Everyone seemed far more attractive then you'd originally anticipated. 
"And Meg, with someone's child."  
The toddler that sat in Margrethe's arms was busying herself with a set of car keys. You couldn't decide who she looked the most like, her mother, her supposed father, Ragnar, or Hvitserk. Your boyfriend claimed the baby was his father's though Ivar had mentioned to you earlier in the week that Meg had told Hvitserk originally that the baby was his and he had told her he wanted no parts of it. Now you supposed, according to Aslaug's comment, she was saying it was her husband who fathered the child in her arms.  
"Hvitserk," her voice was light and airy as she reached one arm out to hug him. Your boyfriend complied, hugging Margrethe for a second before pulling away and stepping back. "Sif," she directed her gaze to the child in her arms, "say hi to uncle Hvitserk."
He looked away at Margrethe's words and Ubbe cut in between them to introduce himself to you. "You must be Hvitserk's girlfriend, I'm Ubbe."
"Nice to meet you, I'm sorry for your loss."
"Thank you." He said, offering a hug that you accepted. "Thank you for calling, I know that couldn't have been easy."
Some one touched your back and you pulled away from Ubbe, turning to find Bjorn there. "You're the one who called?"
"Hvitserk's girlfriend." Aslaug replied, sending a glance Margrethe's way.  
"Thank you for calling," Bjorn said, "And for coming today, it would've meant a lot to my father." He did not hug you but he clapped your shoulder gently before stepping away.  
Not much else was said as guests came through the doors, greeting the family and offering condolences in their loss. Ivar sat, telling you to take a seat with him. He laid his crutches beside him and avoided making eye contact with anyone so that they wouldn't come up to him.  
"Sif is adorable." You commented, watching the little girl smile and giggle as Ubbe held her.  
"That's your take away? You've met the infamous Meg and your reaction is, well her and Hvit had a cute baby together."
"He says it's Ragnar's."  
"And Ubbe pretends it's his, but we all know Sif is Hvit's kid." Ivar replied. "I'm rather familiar with paternal denial, as it is. Ragnar tried to say I wasn't his but everyone knew I was. Hvitserk can say all he wants that Sif is our father's or Ubbe's but the truth is that he's the father."  
You were quiet as you watched Hvitserk greet friends of his father's.  
"I know it's not something you want to hear."
"What makes you think that?" You replied, glaring at Ivar.
"We're here a week. You can't spend the whole time denying the truth. Neither can Hvit."
So whose the dad?

[ ✟ ]     HE  LIKES  to  think  that  he  is  not  so  different  from  the  other  toons...  despite  being  the  one  behind  a  grisly  massacre  of  so  many  '  innocent  '  people  '  (  '  INNOCENT  '  ?  WHAT  A  LIE  THAT  WAS  !  ).  What  was  it  that  his  PROPHET  said  ?  Something  about  artistic  and  creative  minds  needing  their  sanctuaries  ?  Certainly  the  once  little  devil  had  creativity  as  well...  being  the  mind  behind  the  SUCCESSFUL  cartoons  amongst  his  natural  talents  for  art,  dance,  and  voice...  but  that  was  aside  the  point.  Contrary  to  whatever  the  angel  wanted  to  believe,  he  didn't  wander  around  the  studio  all  day  and  all  night.  Wandering  was  a  TERRIBLE  sin  after  all
Like  the  wolf,  he  possesses  his  own  SAFE  HOUSE.  Of  course,  he  has  the  essentials.  TWO  comfy hammocks  (  ...yes,  one  is  for  Allison  if  she  wished.  ),  a  cute  little  kitchen  area  with  a  stove,  and  a  table.  UNLIKE  Boris,  the  walls  are  plastered  with  AGING   POSTERS   of  his  prime;  a  reminder  of  the  glory  days  when  he  used  to  be  a  star.  He  also  managed  to  get  a  STILL  working  projector  (  no,  it's  not  Norman's  head.  )  to  play  some  of  his  shows  as  another  reminder  as  well  as  several  plushes  of  his  and  Boris'  resembalance.
Goes  to  show  HOW  MUCH  he  misses  his  happiness.

When I was looking into ideas, concepts or even inspiration for the dreamlike immersion both me and Rory want for the soundtrack for our Lost Installation I stumbled back into the arms of this beautiful performance: Spacemen 3 - An Evening Of Contemporary Sitar Music.
The audio itself was recorded onto tape by the band from there performance in the lobby of The Watermans Arts Centre in the West London while audience members lined up to get into that evening’s screening of art-house auteur Wim Wenders’ Wings of Desire. there was only 15 people who were there for spacemen 3.
although not one sitar appears throughout the 44 minute performance the audio recorded is a perfect example of how to create music that can really draw listeners into an fantastic immersive sonic experience. While most of the performance consists of two guitars droning the same note over and over again whilst another improvises beautiful melodies along with the rest of the sound. the simplicity, reputation and atmosphere around the audio itself is what draws your mind in the most. 
For me the first time I listened this performance I was in bed with my headphones on in darkness of my room, nothing to see whatsoever. and as I closed my eyes whilst the piece began I was slowly being taken out of my bed and into a atmosphere of my own through the sound of sonic repetition and audience members hurrying around in the background. this performance distracts you from the real world, the things around you and even your own train of thought and draws you into its own tiny fragile world full of haunting melodies, gloomy repetition and haunting murmurs, voices, sequels and noises from background of the recording or even the darkness of your own room. 
And before you know it, its ended, done and you slip back into reality and the world around you. 
That is the magic of a song, piece or performance like this one by Spacemen 3. the idea that with the use of music, sound or noise you can actually immerse someone into there own world, whether that be relating to the environment around them or even there own thats come from there own imagination. 
With that being said this performance by Spacemen 3 will be an important part of how the soundtrack/scape is shaped when it comes to the final piece and will most likely have some what of a resembalance to this glorious performance I've shown you.

What makes an effective poster?
In this blog poster I will be looking at poster design as a whole and the key principles which are involved when creating a successful poster; this will include an in depth defintion behind poster design as well as what goes into a poster but aslo what not to include. I also want to talk about designers I have researched and discuss how they follow these key principles within poster design but also discuss their similarities in their own style and how they have adapted the principles to fit their works. I hope this in depth research and understanding behind what makes a successful poster will help me construct strong practical developments which lead towards my final outcomes.

Why I have decided to complete a blog post behind this specialisim is because I am heavily looking into it for my project and hope it pays a big role towards my final outcomes. What I want to do for my final outcome is produce a series of posters which explore the relationship between text and image but also show a clear resembalance towards my project concept of recent and iconic events. I aim to show these posters in exciting compositions by relating to the work of Dface, Ace and Saul Bass who all use a very abstract and minimal style of poster design.
What I aim this blog post will achieve is for me to gather a greater understanding behind the concept of poster design but also gain knowlegde of the 10 key priciples which make a poster successful and appealing towards a specific audience. I also hope this will enable me to greater my skill set within graphic design as a whole and overall improve my practical outcomes being produced for this Bried ‘Under The Influence’.

The first tip is a very important element to think about when making a poster; and this is to make it easy to read and understand from a distance. This is because a posters job is to inform the audience usually about a key event, the infomation behind this event should be easy to read from a distance to draw the audience in and create a heirachy in the text. When you pick apart a posters use of text it usaully comes under these three topics; Headline, details and the fine print. The text included within the Headline is usually the largest which is included with the design, this text has to be bold and aggressive to demand the audiences attention. The details are really important because it gives the event background and basic infomation which the audience needs; the size of this text should be small in comparrision to the headliner, this is so the headliner does the correct job which is backed up by the details within the poster which gives it purpose. The fine print is usually included within movie posters; this included actors and producers which are being incorriated within the design.

In a poster when the audience takes that first glance its vital that you attract their attention, and high contrast between the elements can help draw the audience to the poster. This can be achieved through bold and elusive colours which are complemented by text. In poster design you can try and experiment with crazy colour schemes which wouldnt normally work with other pieces of work; this is also the case for a new typeface which can all be used for trial and error on a poster design. A tip what most poster designers use is to set a background colour before starting anything, this can be used alongside a technique called bleeded which allows the poster to stand out from other posters which include dull and monochramtic colours.

When making a poster its key to think about the scale of your poster but most importantly where its going to be placed and the composition of it. Trying to establish were the poster is going to go may help stem ideas when creating the poster; this is something which should be done at the start of the poster designing process. When looking at the composition you may work on, it would be good to have a contrasting colour showing on the poster. This is so the poster doesnt blend in a because the background and enviorment it is going to be displayed in. Persoanlly I thik scale has a massive aprt in the succesful nature of the poster, large scale posters will automatically cath the eye of the audience and give them a sens eof what your trying to talk about or sell.

Small scale posters
When I was looking at the large scale posters I also got drawn to the small posters which are also very successful in their own way. These small posters may not be any bigger than a postcard but when these are being distributed around the area and the audience are constantly seeing these it helps boost the affcet of the poster. This technique is usually print based by helps the audience remeber the poster massively which is a key part when advertising somehting. These will end up being distributed through letterboxes and handouts but also can be amde digitally to show online which always appeals to a specif audience when see and enaged upon.

A good principle to use when making a poster is by chosing a visual and making this the focal point in the poster; this enables the poster to be read and understood from a distance by the audience. when focusing on this single visual I wouldnt need to consider the use of layering, this is because it could cause the visuals to be unclear. Type and images on posters need to be clear and understandable to gain the audiences full attention, this can be done through single visual elements such as large scale illistrations, typography and colour schemes. I think this priciple would be intresting to explore through similar techniques I gathered from the street art trip, this will show me gathering and responding to primary and secondary research through my own ideas and thought behind my rpoject concept.

Saul Bass Inspired Poster (Use Of Negitive Space)
When planning the design of a poster a usual tool to use is the space created by the background canvas. A key example of a artist who uses this priciple is the world famous Saul Bass, he uses negitive space in a lot of his posters and this makes it very affect by connecting the colours to the illistrations used. It is good to use space between the different elements which will dramatically increase the visual impact being shown by the poster affect the readabilty in a good way for the audience. Spaces can be conducted between the text, individual letters, elements of different types and around the focus point in the poster.

Importance Of Focusing On Typography
In poster design people can be really expressive with new and used typography and this can be used in exotic and exciting ways/layouts. Some of the best posters around are only conducted up of text and colour which has no relation to images and small illistrations. When creating a poster with just type and colour its important to be big with scale, wider and bigger typefaces, this will enable the poster to be informal and readable towards to target audience. I think this principle has a heavy connection towards my practical experiments being conduct at the moment; because of the relation between text and colour which im trying to show through text and image. I think I could maybe show my outcomes through a typography apporach with just these two elements, this would later be reviewed upon and critue against this post.

Traditional Posters Created Through Screen Printing
A good style to adopt for a nice clean tradition poster would be by adopting a cool printing technique. This will give the poster a texture and hand crafted effect which the audience take in when studyung the poster. This techniques can be done digitally but dont have the same affect so depend what sort od style you want to show tho the targeted audience your going for. This is somehting ive always enjoyed when created posters; this is becasue of the hands on process which create a nice textured print which can be later digitally edited to fit the needs of the poster/task.
What this post has given me is a undertstanding behind what goes into a successful poster, these aspects will be heavily considerd through my development so I can show a diverse range of successful posters in my production file. These techniques have given many ideas to explore and artist to research which has broadened my project nicley to give the posteres a wider meaning behind my concept.
