OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD
SPOILERS FOR NEW MARVEL STUFF! ⚠️
Finally got around to watching The Marvels on Disney +!!!!! It’s the best mcu film this phase istg omg it’s SO GOOD and immediately you can tell it was written by a woman NOT TO MWNTION THE INSANE END CREDIT SCENES WTFFFFF KATE BISHOP PIZZA THE DOG AND XMEN?!?!??!!!!!!! Omg I’m ecstatic this is the best marvel film in years it’s finally giving avengers early phase vibes! And I’m actually happy with every single plot moment! Unlike no way home where there were many questionable plot moments and bad scenes and bad cgi and multiverse of madness was something different entirely like I loved the horror and stuff and it made sense but as a whole that works with the rest of the marvel universe I didn’t like how it went and wandas “death” or “fake death” and the whole x men stuff. Loved America in that tho! Her whole moment made sense and ugh I can’t explain it properly plus the shitshow that was the She Hulk series and overall it just made me lose faith in marvel and that’s why I didn’t see The marvels in cinema like I usually do bc guardians of the galaxy 3 was so shite and I thought this would too maybe that’s why it flopped cuz the hype on past films wasn’t lived up to. But this FINALLY brings back early marvel vibes and I’m so into it. (Plus the reign of the cats 🐈‍⬛ 🐈😆)
Cuz as much as I liked NWH there were questionable parts yk, Dr Strange characterised Wanda badly from start to finish and didn’t do her justice, Wakanda Forever was amazing don’t get me wrong I really loved it and cried A LOT, but I wasn’t too keen on the whole Namor thing or unnecessary deaths, and some characters really just deserved better than what they got, like Okoye.. and Black Widow was great but it could’ve been a bit better with cgi and plot-wise like the deleted scenes should’ve been kept and so on.
For the first time I just really enjoyed every part of this film, since marvel has gone downhill lately, this is new for me. also I loved the queer undertones for Kamala and Carol, although they should’ve been braver and put it in explicitly if they wanted to show Carol and Valkyrie together instead of the kiss on the cheek and no talk of them being together. But headed in the right direction for sure and not to mention the Kate and Kamala scene? Female avengers team? Finally not outnumbered by men? Also I really ship Kate and Yelena so I hope she comes onto the team too, though she might just stick with the Thunderbolts antihero theme. I love that it’s so clearly written by women and directed by them plus the brilliant casting and having the villain also be a woman and with a realistic villainisation like I get why she turned out the way she did, she just wanted her home back for her people, also it’s Zawe Ashton, Tom Hiddlestons wife so it would be cool to see them act together perhaps, but either way brilliant casting and script and everything, I love Kamala really speaking for the fans in a lot of it, and the musical scene was fun in a mystical way, like when we first got introduced to Asgard way back when, I just wish we saw what happened there at least a small look in at the end with Carol checking in on them because they left in the middle of a battle and then we don’t find out what happened to that planet. But other than that small detail the film was fantastic and I loved how even Goose got a good storyline.
(My dreamteam avengers would be Bucky🦾, Yelena🕷️, Kate🏹, Carol💫, Kamala👊, Monica🌠, Shuri🐾, Riri 🛠️(ironheart), America⭐️ and Cassie 🐜 and Morgan Stark. Plus some xmen if that’s now an option?? And AOS team but marvel would never do that
Maybe Peter🕸️ Sean⭕️, Wanda and Moon Knight🌙🤺 boys too but idk )

When Worlds Collide
Tumblr media
Kate Bishop x Female Spiderwoman reader (basically has Miles powers; invisibility, electric webs)
Summary: One minute you’re swinging around new york and the next you’re swinging into a different universe where you run into a very confused archer.
Warnings: Some swearing
A/N: sorry this is mainly dialogue but I just needed to get it out the way. I am planning on making this a mini-series so I need you guys to bully me into staying motivated:)))))))))))
PART TWO
------------------------
If someone were to tell you that when you climbed out your window today, you would swing - quite literally - into another universe, well… You’re not sure what you would have said, maybe something along the lines of ‘you’re crazy' I guess. But they would have been correct, which is kinda crazy.
It would have been cool if someone did tell you that, though, cause then they would be this inter-dimensional psychic or whatever (not too sure on the correct term but you know what I mean). But they didn't, and you swung right into the streets of New York, and not the one you were used to. You would like to say it was graceful, however, You’re not too sure your screaming and a rather painful belly flop onto some bins in an alleyway wouldn’t have scored that high if it was out of 10.
And that's how you landed in this situation, sitting in bin juice, with a bow and arrow pointed at your head.
“Where the hell did you come from?” A woman asked with a perplexed tone, her dark hair in a ponytail and her face covered by her weapon.
“Uh, not too sure.”
“Like you literally just appeared out of nowhere,” She stated, my eyes adjusting allowing me to see her purple suit.
“Yeah… I guess I did… Can you maybe not shoot me, please? I’m kinda confused as to what just happened and the possibility of getting an arrow in my head is not helping with this situation.”
The woman lowered her weapon slightly and looked at you with a curious gaze, “What's with the spider-man suit? You a fan?”
“Spider-man? Spider-man? Are you serious?” What the hell is this girl on about.
She raised her eyebrows in response, “Yeah, spider-man, You know, got bit by a spider and now can climb up walls and shoot webs. He’s actually really nice, I’ve met him a few times at the avengers compound when Hawkeye took me, that was a really fun day. I also met The Hulk, and Falcon and-”
“What the fuck are the avengers?” You interrupted the woman's rambling, “Is that like a band or something? Are they all different bands?”
“Wait - bands?”
“Yeah, are you in a band? Why do you have a bow and arrow if you’re in a band?”
There was a small pause of silence between us until she spoke. “No.”
“So your not in a band or they aren't in a band? I'm confused.”
“No one is in a band, they’re superheroes. I’m a superhero… kinda,” she replied lowering her weapon to her side. “What are you from another universe or something, how do you not know who the avengers are-”
“Hey! She’s over here!” A loud voice shouted from the end of the alleyway, followed by an army of footsteps.
“Oh shit.” the woman said as you quickly webbed yourself to the wall behind her and then landed beside her on the ground, “Hey, how did you-?
“No time for questions!” You replied quickly, gabbing her waist as you turned invisible, your touch also making her disappear from the guy's eyes who were wearing tracksuits? Odd.
With your free hand, you released a web, allowing you to swing out of the alleyway a couple of blocks down with numerous Oh my God's and Holy shit’s in your ear, before landing (much more gracefully) on top of a building, placing the dark-haired woman next to you, turning off your invisibility.
“Wow, you are way cooler than Spiderman,” she said, a little out of breath from the adrenaline. “And totally not a man.” She added, being able to look at your body properly now that it wasn't covered in bin bags. You wore a dark green skin-tight suit (which looked almost black due to the time of day, or should I say night, it was), with black webbing covering it with a black widow-like spider on the front and back, and the signature white eyelets.
You couldn't help but let out a small laugh, thankful that your mask hid your crimson cheeks from her comment, “Good observation skills, archer.” you said, still not knowing the woman's name.
“So who are you exactly? And you never answered my question about where you came from.”
“I’m Arachne.”
(A-rack-knee is basically how you pronounce it if anyone was having trouble)
“Like the girl who got turned into a spider-”
“-By Athena, yes! Except I’m not actually a giant spider, I just have spider-like tendencies I guess.” You interrupted, a bit too excited that she knew where your name was from as you were a bit of a history geek.
“What with webs and stuff…” She added.
“Yep.” you said, giving a very awkward thumbs up in return. “So what's your hero name then archer?”
“Uh, I haven’t really worked out the whole superhero name just yet, but you can call me Kate.”
You furrowed your eyebrows in response, but Kate could only see the eyes of your suit go smaller, “Isn’t like the first rule of being a superhero is to not tell people your real name.”
“Shit. Yeah.”
“Promise I won't tell.”
“Appreciate it.”
“And about where I came from, I think another universe may be a good guess.” You joked, But when you saw the look on Kate’s face, she looked like she knew more than you.
“I think I know who can help.”
After helping Kate climb down the building, she lead you to an apartment complex a few blocks from where you landed in some bins. Again, not your finest moment. You watched in amusement as she pressed every single buzzer to get inside the building.
“I thought this was your place?” you asked when you guys were finally let in after a lame pizza excuse Kate gave one of the residents.
“Oh right, my place burnt down like 2 months ago, so I’m crashing at my aunt's place for now. Still haven't gotten round to getting a key cut yet,” She shrugged as I followed her up a tedious amount of stairs. Once the door was opened and you two were inside, you could immediately sense another heartbeat in the apartment. Just as your body tensed up, you heard the friendly sound of paws pattering across the wooden floor, calming your nerves. “This is Lucky, a.k.a Pizza Dog, a.k.a my best friend.” Kate introduced you as she knelt down to pat the dog. “That sounded less… sad in my head,” she muttered afterwards.
After confirming that no one else was there, you reached for the back of your mask, pulling it off, deciding that it would be kinda weird to leave it on any longer. With a quick breath, you blew the hair out of your face, finding the archer looking at you with a small blush on her cheeks, “definitely not a man,” she whispered to the dog.
“So… this person who you think can help… I’m guessing it's not the dog?” you joked, loosely pointing to the golden fluff ball on the floor. You managed to get a small chuckle from the raven-haired girl, and you couldn’t help but smile when you saw hers.
“No, unfortunately not. They’re over at the avengers compound.”
“Right,” you nodded, “The band.”
“Yeah, the band. But I don’t think they will like me very much if I turn up at 2 am with someone who I found in the bins.” She finished, smiling to herself at your little banter. “Especially since I don’t even know your name…”
“Ah,” you breathed out, looking down at your feet as you felt slightly embarrassed by the statement. After all, you had helped her with the tracksuits, she was helping you find out what happened to you, let you into her home (or at least her aunts'), and she introduced you to her dog. She was long overdue for a proper introduction.
“Hi,” Kate had stood up now, moving to stand in front of you with a warm smile.
“Hi,” you replied, unsure of where this was going.
“I’m Kate, it's nice to meet you,” She placed her hand in the space between you two, offering a friendly re-introduction. You took her hand in yours, giving her a shy smile.
“I’m Y/N, it’s nice to meet you too.”

All I Want For Christmas is You
Tumblr media
Summary:  Kate Bishop does not want to be here. She hates going to her mother's Christmas Party. But she is surprised to see you, her best friend, ex-girlfriend. and someone she hasn't seen in 2 years. She wasn't expecting to learn the truth of her breakup with you. Like she said, she hated going to her mother's Christmas parties.
Warning: Past Sexual assault/rape, implied date rape/roofing, angst with a happy ending
Word Count: 2.6k
Kate sighed as she handed the coat checker her winter coat. The archer knew she had no right to complain, she had everything she wanted and needed in life. However, Kate hated going to her mother’s Christmas party. It was not her idea of a good time. She hated dressing up and having awkward conversations with someone that wasn’t her age. But as heir to Bishop Security she had to show her face or she would not hear the end of it from her mother. Kate immediately walked over to the bar. She was going to need at least 3 drinks to make it through tonight. “Kate,” her mother said, appearing next to her. “It’s nice for you to finally join us.” The archer had to suppress a sigh. The party started 45 minutes ago. “You look nice.” She was wearing a simple black suit with her red bow tie being the only pop of color.
“So do you,” The CEO was wearing a simple green dress. The bartender set down Kate’s drink in front of her. Eleanor gave her daughter a look. “What? Alcohol is the only thing that’s going to get me through some of these conversations.” Eleanor sighed, waving down the bartender.
“You are not wrong.” Kate smirked. “Guess who sent in their RSVP rather last minute.” Kate had no clue. “The L/n’s.” Eleanor waited for Kate to take a sip before telling. The archer choked on her drink, causing a small coughing fit. The CEO rubbed her back to help her.
“Are you serious?” She asked once she calmed down. Eleanor nodded. “Shit.” The L/ns were a revival security and technology company. Behind the success of the company was you, the eldest daughter of the L/ns. You had an IQ that could be compared to Tony Stark and Bruce Banner. You also happened to be Kate’s ex-girlfriend. The archer hasn’t spoken to you in 2 years. “Why did you invite them?”
“You know the saying,” her mother said. “Keep your friends close but your enemies closer.” Eleanor turned around to face the party. “And here they are.” Kate turned around and her jaw dropped. You were wearing a red long sleeved dress that went down to the floor. The dress had a deep V-line and a thigh split. “You're starring, sweetheart.” Eleanor said, walking over to you and your parents. You smiled at the CEO, you were ever the professional when it came to events like this. Eleanor began to talk with your parents and you looked around the room finding Kate right away. You seemed just as surprised to see her as well. You said something to your mother and walked over to the bar. Kate sighed and turned around.
“I’m surprised that you are here.” You said, leaning against the bar as you waited to order your drink. “You were never a fan of these types of parties.”
“I could be saying the same thing to you.” You smiled. Kate hated herself that your smile still made her heart flip.
“You look good, Kate.” The bartender placed a Moscow mule in front of you. You took a sip of your drink.
“So do you.” You picked up your drink and touched Kate’s shoulder.
“I’ll see you around.” You left before Kate could respond.
“Yeah see ya.” The archer sighed and took a big sip of her drink. You and Kate were childhood friends both going to the same elementary and middle school. Until your parents pulled you out to homeschool you in 7th grade. It wasn’t until 9th grade that Kate realized that her feelings for you were more than just platonic. You dated for 4 years then a picture was sent to Kate of you at a party while she was away at an archery competition of you cheating on her. That was 2 years ago. She downed the rest of her drink and ordered another one. It was going to be a long night.
*
You were not paying attention to the conversation that was happening around you. You knew you should be as you were sitting with possible business partners, investors, and competitors. But your mind was on the heir of Bishop Securities. She was standing with Eleanor, as her mother was doing a majority of the speaking. You sighed and picked up a piece of cheese to eat. You missed her. You don’t even remember what happened between you and the archer. She stopped returning your calls and texts, you gave up. “I’m going to get some air.” You said to the table and stood up, walking outside to the balcony. The crisp air of the city caused goosebumps to form on your skin. You leaned up against the railing and looked over the city. You did not want to be here but you had an image to uphold.
“You are going to get sick.” You heard Kate say behind you. You didn’t respond as she moved to stand next to you.
“I can’t imagine why you care.”
“I’ve never stopped caring about you,” You laughed bitterly.
“Then why did you ghost me?” You asked, looking at your ex. “You just stopped talking to me. She glanced at you briefly but looked away.
“You made it pretty clear that you wanted nothing to do with me?”
“What-what are you talking about?” You questioned. She shook her head.
“You know what it’s not important.” She mumbled. “I hope you have a great Christmas.” Kate turned to walk back into the party but you grabbed her arm, stopping her.
“Katie, please.” She let out a shaky breath.
“Thomas Signorelli’s party. I was in California for archery,” You dropped her arm. You remembered the party, you were invited but you didn’t want to go because you wanted to watch Kate’s competition. The plan was for you to join her in California but your parents told you couldn’t go because you had to prepare for an upcoming investor meeting. The archer turned to face you. “I got a text from you saying you were going to go with Allison,” you nodded, licking your dry lips. Right, it was coming back to you.
“Kate, what happened at Thomas’ party?” You asked. Her eyes widened.
“Do you not remember?” You shook your head.
“I remember getting a text from Allison.” You started. “I took a cab to her hotel room to get ready and her driver drove us to the party.” Your heart began to pound as Kate took a tentative step towards you. “I had a drink, maybe two and we left.” You weren’t sure about that last part. “I woke up in Allison’s hotel room.” Kate said your name but it was muffled as if you were drowning underwater. Why couldn’t you remember? You were sitting on Thomas’ couch watching Kate on your phone. He and his friend, David, sat next to you to watch Kate’s match.
“Y/n,” Kate’s voice pierced through the fog. “Sweetheart, you have to breathe for me.” You didn’t realize you were hyperventilating. She touched your arms but you flinched away.
“I-I have to go,” you pushed past the archer and walked back into the party. You heard Kate call after you pushed past the party goers and walked to the bathroom closing the door behind you. You were thankful that no one was in there. You sat in a chair and covered your face with your hands. “What did they do to me?” You mumbled. You heard the door open and lock. “I don’t know what happened, Kate.” You said, looking up. Kate frowned as she knelt down in front of you. “But I think it was bad.” She nodded. “Do you know?” She nodded again.
“They sent me a picture and videos.” She whispered. “I didn’t know you didn’t consent to it.” You felt the color drain from your face. The little food in your stomach mixed with the alcohol started to flip. You were going to be sick. You pushed Kate out of the way and emptied your stomach in the toilet. Kate moved next to you instantly, pushing the loose hair out of your face. You fell back, tears were running down your face and your mouth tasted terribly. Kate wet a paper towel and whipped your face.
“I would never cheat on you. I’d-”
“Sh,” Kate said, nodding her head. Part of you was a little upset she believed it, but the evidence was complaining. “I’m sorry. Right now, I’m going to talk to your parents and my mom and we are going to get out of here.” You nodded. The archer stood up but you grabbed her arm.
“You’ll come back, right?” You asked. Kate smiled, kissing the top of your head.
“I’ll be back.”
*
Kate came back as she promised and she guided you out of the party through a side door and into a car. You weren’t sure where Kate was taking you but you trusted her. You were drained, your head fell onto Kate’s shoulder and you closed your eyes.
“Sweetheart,” Kate gently woke you up. “We’re here.” You opened your eyes and saw Kate’s apartment. You nodded and got out of the car, holding onto Kate’s hand. She led you up the stairs and into her apartment. “We’ll get some clothes for you to change into.” Being in the archer’s room after so many years not being in it was strange. You sat on her bed as she went to her closet. She pulled out a pair of sweatpants and a long sleeve shirt, a combo you always steal from her. “Do you need help changing?” She asked, handing you the clothes. It wouldn’t be the first time she saw you naked but the idea made your skin crawl. You shook your head.
“Can I use your bathroom?”
“Of course.” You walked to her bathroom and closed the door behind you. You got the dress off as quickly as you could and put on the clothes Kate gave you. It smelt like her and gave you a sense of peace. You washed the makeup off your face and washed your mouth with mouthwash. You stared at your reflection in the mirror and hated what you saw. You were the smart one, with an IQ that rivaled the likes of Tony Stark. You created a multimillionaire dollar company by the time you were 15. This wasn’t supposed to happen to you. You sighed and left the bathroom. Kate was sitting on her couch scrolling through her phone.
“Hey,” she said, putting her phone away. She changed out of her suit into a love sleeve and shorts. “How are you feeling?” You shrugged.
“Better, I guess.”
“What can I do?” She asked.
‘Go back in time to stop this from happening.’
‘Don’t leave me.’
‘Convince my parents to let me go with you to California’
You weren’t sure. “Can I have a hug?” You asked instead. She opened her arms and you walked over to her, crawling onto her lap. Her arms wrapped around you tight. You choked back a sob, biting down on your lip. Kate ran her fingers through your hair and down your back.
“It’s okay,” Kate whispered. “I got you. I’m not going anywhere. Never again.” The dam broke and you cried against her shirt. And cried. And cried.
*
Kate was a lot of things. Some called her the world’s greatest archer but right now as you cried against her she felt like a jackass. She had half the mind to go find Henry and kick his ass but right now she let you cry and cry. She’d hold you as long as you needed. Soon your breathing even out and soft snores left your stuffy nose. Kate smiled and gently lifted you up and carried you to her room. She laid you down and tucked the blanket around you. The archer wanted to climb in next to you and cuddle up against you. But she wasn’t sure if you wanted that. Two years have passed and Kate never stopped loving you. She went on dates after dates and slept around but nothing stopped the ache in her heart. Kate sighed, going to leave her room. “Katie,” your soft voice stopped her in your tracks. “Stay please.” The archer smiled and climbed in next to you. You rested your head on her chest.
“Sleep, tomorrow will be better.”
*
You were surprised to wake up to an empty bed since Kate was never a morning person. You sat up and stretched your arms above your head, hearing your shoulders pop. You glanced at the nightstand and saw a water bottle and a bottle of aspirin. Gods, you were still in love with Kate Bishop. You took the aspirin to quiet the pounding in your head. You went to go find the archer. She was sitting at her dining room table hunched over her computer with breakfast and the radio was playing Christmas music. It was a sight you were so used to seeing when you were together. “Did you finally learn how to use the kitchen?” You asked. The archer jumped not expecting to hear your voice. You rolled your eyes at your ability to sneak up on her.
“No, I ordered food.” You sat down next to her.
“Good, so I know it wont give us food poisoning.” You joked. It was easy to fall back into this joking habit with her. She playfully pushed you on the shoulder and placed a food container in front of you. You opened it, smiling at your go to order after a long night; chocolate chip pancakes, scrambled eggs, and bacon. “I missed this.” You confessed, pouring syrup over your pancakes. K ate was quiet as she typed away on her laptop.
“I’m sorry,” she finally said, closing the computer. “I’m sorry I believed them and cut you out of my life.” You cut into the pancake and watched the chocolate melt.
“I thought you knew me better than that.” You looked at her. “What did they say to you to make you believe I consented to it?”
“I lost in California,” she said, taking a sip of her coffee. “The first thing I did was call you but you didn’t answer. I guess news traveled fast of my loss and they sent me that picture and video saying that you were with a real winner and that you wanted nothing to do with me.” Kate sighed. “I got an earful from my mom and it all came crashing down.” You say tears forming in her blue eyes. “I never stopped loving you.” The radio began to play Maria Carey’s All I want for Christmas and you couldn’t help and think how cliche this was. “It was just hard to see your name and hear your voice to not think about that day.” You grabbed her hand and squeezed it tight.
“Don’t run away from me again.” You said, letting go of her hand.
“Again.” She said slowly.
“I never stopped loving you.” You kissed her on the cheek. “Don’t mess it up.” You watched the heat rise to her cheeks but she smiled.
“I won't.” she kissed the side of your head. “Because all I want for Christmas is you, baby.” She sang horrible with Mariah. You rolled your eyes.
“Stop. Don’t make me regret it.” The archer laughed. Breakfast was eaten as you both caught up that the other missed in the past 2 years. You had a long way to go but you were glad to have your best friend by your side again.

Hello! Can I request a romantic matchup for The Hunger Games, MCU and Arcane? Sorry about the other thing I could have sworn that I had sent one in, anyway thank you for doing these matchups they're very fun :D
Name: Sophie Pronouns: she/her Sexuality: bisexual (female preference) MBTI: ISTP-T Zodiac: Virgo sun, Cancer rising, Sagittarius moon Love Languages: physical touch and quality time - Slytherin
Appearance: finally 5'0 (and probably won't grow anymore 😭), straight and long dark brown hair, dark brown eyes, wasian, slim build, clear glasses (I'm really blind), always in socks 🫶
Personality: quiet most of the time, awkward, kind, patient, a little judgemental, I'd consider myself as smart, not very outgoing and prefers to stay at home, reserved, loyal, generally happy, very talkative at times, calm, black cat, a little stubborn, can and will hold grudges, sarcastic, easily amused, secretly a hopeless romantic
Likes: cats, video games (Minecraft, Terraria, Slime Rancher), films and tv shows, reading, writing, listening to music (favourite songs at the moment are: Wolf - Boy Epic, Setting Sun - Lord Huron, Not Prepared For You - Diane Warren + Lauren Jauregui, Broken Hearted Love Song - The Shoe), cuddles/physical touch in general, playing netball
Dislikes: strawberry yogurt, fish, bugs that can fly, anything to do with horror 🤺, being the centre of attention, people who are overly nice, those who swear every other word
Extra: I usually find myself being attracted to those who are headstrong and confident
Have a lovely day!
Your Hunger Games match is…
Katniss Everdeen
Tumblr media
Katniss isn’t really into physical touch
At least not in public, when you’re alone she’d cuddle with you at night
Offers you that she’ll make you a braid
She doesn’t really mind you being awkward or judgemental
Values your kindness and patience
Katniss would be slightly sad by the fact that you wouldn’t want to go hunt or out with her in general
But she also understands you
Two black cats couple
Katniss being also stubborn there would be some tension sometimes between you two
It isn’t really seeable, but she likes your “hopeless romantic” behaivor
Comes to you whenever she’s upset or needs comfort in general or any kind of advice
You’re her comfort person
Likes to see you play netball, but doesn’t want to learn it
Slight teasing about the fact that you hate flies or flying bugs
Gets them outside for you
Katniss isn’t fan of horrors either so no worries, she won’t watch any horror movies with you or anything
She had enough horror in the games
I checked and she never in any of her movies or books cussed
So no worries she won’t cuss and she isn’t overly nice
Oh yeah she is headstrong, but not so confident
Your MCU match is…
Kate Bishop
Tumblr media
Kate loves physical touch and will cuddle you whenever she can
In public it’s mainly hand holding and hugs
Maybe kisses on cheek
Like a kid asks if she can try your glasses on
She rambles all the time so no worries, the room won’t be quiet even if you are
Kate is really awkward in most situations
Simp for you
Rambles all about you to Clint and even Lucky
She is also a slightly hopeless romantic
Has access to any game that requires payment so you won’t have to pay
Buys Spotify premium
She is rich so no worries about her waisting money
Will listen with you to your music
No guarantees that she will exactly like your music taste though
She is really glad that you’re so kind and loyal
Whenever you get sarcastic she’ll turn it into humoress jokes from her side
Or at least she thinks they are funny
Tries to play netball with you, but sje just can’t
Teaches you how to shoot with bow and arrows if you’re up for it
Doesn’t force you, though
Kate doesn’t really get why you don’t like straberry yogurt
Will ask why you don’t
Scared as hell of horrors and scary things in general
Will try to shoot the flying bug with her bow and arrows
Please stop her from doing that
Kate Bishop is confident that’s for sure
Your Arcane match is…
Vi
Tumblr media
She is very touch-starved so she does long for a physical touch even in public
Despite not being tall herself she’d tease you about your height
Flirting 24/7
Really apprichates you being loyal, kind and patient with her
You get sarcastic? She’s sarcastic back
Respects the fact that you prefer to stay home than go out
Vi knows that you’re smarter than her, but she won’t admit it
Also you might be smarter, but not more cunning than her… it just ain’t possible
Teases you about you being a hopeless romantic, but she likes it
Definetly plays video games with you whenever she can
Vi is very competetive so if you have any game where players are against each other, she’ll definetly play
She will try and listen to your music, but again, she might not like it
Cuddles are always welcomed
Like I said, she really likes physical touch, so cuddles are just perfect
Will learn how to play netball just to play with you
Vi isn’t much of a reader, but would like it if you’d tell her what the book was about

You knew you weren’t the most outgoing person ever with countless social experiences but you were pretty sure movie theaters normally didn’t have candles. The atmosphere in the theater felt like you were walking into a fancy restaurant, candles lining the walkways, a soft fragrance filling the air. You gulp, fidgeting with the hem of your shirt. You didn’t look like absolute crap but you definitely didn’t fit the ambiance of the place. Familiar voices sounded behind you, making you turn around with a confused smile on your face.
“Oh good, you’re here. I was worried you would be spending the day on your couch.” Yelena stated while she grabbed your arm, dragging you into the bathroom. Natasha trailed behind you, a dress bag hanging on her arm. Scrunching your eyebrows, you open your mouth to speak but instead of words coming out, your mouth was stuffed with popcorn. Yelena looked at you, an intense questioning look on her face.
“Is it good? I swear if they didn’t add butter, I will actually steal that kids kneecaps.” You choke on the popcorn, quickly chewing it so you could stop your best friend from committing murder. You grab Yelena’s elbow before she could leave the bathroom, shooting Natasha an exasperated look. The Black Widow just shrugged, unzipping the dress bag. Before you could see what was in the bag, you groaned out.
“Please tell me you guys didn’t sneak weapons in here!”
Yelena gasped, a faux offended look on her face. She placed a hand on her chest, shaking her head.
“Of course not. We are way more talented than that.” You doubled back at what she said, blinking as she continued, ”Now let’s get you in this dress. I’m pretty sure I got your size, after I took a few of your clothes from your closet.”
You stared at Yelena and Natasha, who were handing you the dress bag, expectant looks on their faces. You wanted to laugh but something in you knew they were being serious. You rubbed the bridge of your nose, sighing.
“Why do I need to wear a dress? Are we watching a movie with the Queen?” Natasha shook her head.
“Nope. But that would be nice, it would mean she could lift our ban from Great Britain.” Natasha tossed the dress at you, which you scrambled to catch.
“Wait, what-“ Yelena waved her hand, impatiently pointing at the dress.
“Get dressed, [Name]! I actually spent money on that.” She was practically bouncing on her feet as you pulled out the dress. Your breath caught in your throat, eyes wide as you stared at it. The fabric was soft and silky, feeling like air between your fingers. It was a gorgeous shade of purple, capturing the exact hue the night sky paints before night fall. Carefully, scared you would destroy it, you shedded your casual clothes to partake in the surreal experience Natasha and Yelena created. That sounded sexual, you were just putting on the dress. You twirled in the mirror, watching in a trance as the knee length dress flared. Natasha played with your hair, pulling it up in a messy bun. Yelena cursing as she checked the time brought you back to reality. As Natasha started to guide you out of the bathroom, you stopped in your tracks, crossing your arms and raising an eyebrow. Yelena looked like she was trying to not understand. You just scoffed, laughing.
“Guys, what is going on? Candles, a fancy dress, the lights that are dimmed more than normal-” You pause, leaning your head back, widening your eyes dramatically.
“Did you sign me up for the Bachelor?” Yelena let out a relieved breath before sending you a weird look. Nat snorted.
“No, no, not the Bachelor…exactly.”
“What was that?” You question Yelena, not hearing the last thing she said. The blonde just shook her head, grabbing your hand, saying the only thing she knew would take your mind off of the weird experience you were having.
“We’re watching The Proposal!” You smile, a dreamy look over taking your face.
“I love Sandra Bullock.” You whisper under your breath, not noticing the other group of people you were walking towards. Bucky and Sam share a look, trying not to laugh at the look on your face. Natasha clearing her throat snapped you out of your haze. Clint walked towards her, nodding with approval. You look at Yelena, confused, before looking behind Clint, loosing all the air in your lungs. Kate walked towards you, focused on her wrists as she adjusted her suit jacket sleeves. Her black suit clung to her form perfectly, her tie hanging loose as the first few buttons of her dress shirt were open. You were confident your mouth was the Sahara with how dry it had become. She looked up, her own face faltering when she saw you. Kate quickly smiled, looking you up and down. You felt a blush overtake your neck and cheeks. Yelena clapped.
“Oh good we’re all here!” She made sure you and Kate walked next to each other as you all made your way towards the theater room. Kate opened the door for you, making you giggle. You immediately cringed, that was embarrassing. Kate’s confused gaze made you look behind you, were Yelena, Nat, and Bucky were patting down themselves. Bucky kissed his teeth, raising his arms in a shrug. Nat shook her head and Yelena laughed sheepishly.
“Well it turns out I only brought two tickets. That’s so embarrassing and we’re not even dressed for this fancy of a place-” she gasped, a sly smile forming on her lips as she pointed towards you and Kate, “But you guys are! How perfect! Enjoy the movie!” Before you could say anything, Yelena tossed the tickets at Kate, who expertly caught them, and corralled the group away from the theater. You looked at Kate, who was looking at the tickets and smiling softly. You walk into the theater, Kate following you, and look for seats even though the theater was empty. You sit down, jumping slightly when you realized that Kate was standing next to your seat, meaning you had to look up to speak to her. You laugh nervously.
“So, uh, what do you think is going on?” Kate bit her lip before leaning down, hands on the arm rests on either side of you, face inches away from yours.
“Well, I think they just set us up on a date.” You nod.
“Oh okay.” Kate stares at you while her words set in. She sees the exact moment when you realized what she said. Your eyes went wide, face heating up. You blinked a few times, starting to just slightly panic.
“Wait, what?!”
A/n: this series is coming to an end but i have developed a deep attachment to the best friend yelena dynamic so if anyone has any best friend!yelena prompts they would want to see, plz send them in i have (1) idea and idk if it’s good at all so

lose it (won’t you dance with me?) after three months of no communication, captain america sam wilson unexpectedly runs into thunderbolts leader bucky barnes in a charity gala, which forces him to confront certain feelings about his ex-partner.
rated T | 3.9k | ao3 | gala playlist
Galas always feel like a chore to Sam.
Probably because looking for the right clothes to wear is already a chore, and it doesn’t help that his sister Sarah is almost never available for when he needs her help.
“I don’t know, Sharon, I don’t really see the charm in this emerald green tie.” Sam fiddles with the said tie with a soft frown after setting his phone on a shelf.
He’s in a menswear boutique because a) his one suit at home is about 10 years old, and b) it’s a Stark Charity Gala, which he doesn’t really dread coming to, but certainly needs some fancy pants. Rhodey asked him to come and make sure he looks good, so Pepper is taking care of whatever he needs to get.
“It looks good on you. I like the gold accents.” Sharon says from the screen, leaning back on her office chair. “Wait, why don’t you switch it out with a plain black one? And then get a three-piece emerald green suit. That’s better, isn’t it?”
“That feels like an overkill.” Sam replies, taking the tie off and handing it to somebody.
Sharon rolls her eyes through the video call. “You looked very good in whatever you wore in Madripoor that night, you know? Plus, this is a Stark gala with rich people to mingle with. Somebody’s gonna wear some sort of a peacock dress, Sam, a green suit won’t blind anyone.”
Sam chuckles and shakes his head at the statement. Sharon’s not wrong though. He turns to the man patiently assisting him, and though sheepish about it, he asks if they have what Sharon had suggested. The man nods and goes to the back.
“This is insane.” Kate Bishop blinks at the enormous venue. “Look, Cap, I’ve been to hundreds of galas but never in a Stark one. I feel like I’m gonna throw up.”
“Is that a bad thing or a good thing? I never know with you… uh, young people.” Sam turns to Kate who graciously accepted his offer to be his plus-one as representatives of the Avengers.
“Positive. This is so cool.” Kate grins and holds her purple Versace dress in excitement as she steps further into the atrium.
Sam offers an arm, nervously straightening down his velvet emerald green blazer. He ended up doing what Sharon had said — a three-piece emerald green suit with a winged golden brooch. He is wearing a white button-up shirt underneath, partnered with a plain black bow tie. His fingers are adorned with golden rings, with a solitaire ring on his pinky nesting a square cut emerald. He looks fancy, he feels like a billionaire — it’s incredible how he can melt among the socialites present.
“Sam!” Pepper calls out from afar, a group of people parting in half as she makes her way towards him. She waves her hand as she grins, her daughter Morgan holding her other hand as she waddles beside her.
With eyes lighting up, Sam mirrors the smile as he opens his arm for an embrace. Kate pauses and steps aside to give way.
Pepper pulls Sam into a hug, rubbing his back affectionately. “I’m glad you made it. Rhodey wasn’t sure if you would.”
“Oh, you know, I tried.” Sam laughs and bends down to give Morgan a short hug as well. “Hey M, you look cute! Are you matching dresses with mommy?”
Morgan nods enthusiastically and gives it a twirl, making Pepper and Sam chuckle, and Kate gasping loud in adorableness.
Sam blinks and turns to Kate, putting an arm around her. “Oh, shoot. This is Kate, by the way. She’s Barton’s friend. Kate, this is Pepper Potts-Stark.”
Kate extends a hand and shakes Pepper’s, her shoulders quirking up slightly, abashed. “Hi. I’m an Avenger. You probably know that though. I-I mean, you must know who the new members are. Sorry.”
Sam looks at Pepper and mouths, she’s nervous.
“Anyway, I’m Clint’s friend and fan, but like, also I’m a big fan of your late husband. I love Iron Man. Do you have… a display of an Iron Man suit?” Kate continues to ramble, still shaking Pepper’s hand. She then abruptly stops and purses her lips together upon realization that it might have been too much.
Pepper exhales a breath, but not in annoyance. She smiles at Kate and places another hand on top of hers. “It’s okay. And we do. People like to see them, and Tony loved making them. I can bring you upstairs if you like?”
Kate nods quickly but looks at Sam for approval. Sam merely shrugs and tilts his head.
Pepper starts walking away with Morgan and Kate, but looks over her shoulder to tell Sam, “You look handsome, by the way!”
Sam smiles although caught off guard, burying his hands in his pockets. “Thank you! You too, Pep, you look incredible.”
As Kate, Pepper, and Morgan get swallowed by an extravagant-looking crowd, Sam nervously takes his hands out again and fiddles with his rings. A waiter passes by him and offers a glass of champagne. This will do, Sam thinks, and just straight up chugs it. He holds the empty glass, brown eyes scanning the room for Rhodey or anyone else he might know.
“Just commit to the bit, Yelena. Val wanted us to go, so we had to. It can’t be that bad.”
The distinct voice of John Walker made Sam turn. He’s talking awfully loud that Sam could hear him a few feet away even with the crowd buzzing. He’s wearing a plain tuxedo, while his teammate Yelena is wearing a strapless silver evening gown.
Sam didn’t know the Thunderbolts were coming.
“I’ll give you 45 minutes, Walker, and I’m gone.” Yelena instructs pointedly, “Don’t you dare tell Val.”
“Okay, Jesus, don’t get cranky at me.” John rolls his eyes.
Sam turns his back to the two when John goes to look at his direction. He continues to listen, but he hopes he won’t get approached.
“Ah, there you are! Where were you?”
“Had to take a call from Val. She was just checking on us.”
Sam perks up. He feels his heart skip a beat, then crash inside his rib cage. He clenches the glass too tight, the ring on his finger pinching his skin slightly. He wants to turn around and follow the voice. Make sure he’s not imagining it. But how could he? He knows who that voice belongs to like the back of his own hand.
And so, very discreetly, Sam looks over to who spoke.
Bucky shoves the phone in his back pocket before adjusting the cuff of his blazer. He’s wearing a black turtleneck along with his two-piece navy blue suit. He has a silver chain around his neck, as well as silver rings on his right hand. One could see his dog tags protruding against the fabric of his shirt. His hair is longer, although not as long as he used to keep it, styled and combed back with his usual soft waves defined better. His beard has grown the length of when it used to be when he was in Wakanda.
He has never seen Bucky that way, ever. Sam finds himself staring for too long.
Too long that Bucky actually notices his presence and locks eyes with him from across the atrium. Bucky’s eyes widened, his eyebrow subtly flicking upwards.
Sam sees Bucky move towards him and as if it’s his cue, he quickly turns away, immediately wading through the sea of people. He needs to be far from the Thunderbolts as much as possible.
Far from Bucky.
He’s angry. He’s angry and nervous and confused and maybe slightly turned on, but he’s mostly angry that he doesn’t want to see Bucky right now.
He’s angry about the way Bucky didn’t tell him he was going to leave and join another group, to the point that he had to find out through the news. He’s angry that Bucky never bothered to call or even text. He’s angry that Bucky is doing well without him, he’s angry that he fucking misses him everyday and was starting to accept that maybe they weren’t something at all with how quickly Bucky dropped him the second he was made the leader of a fuckass spy group called Thunderbolts.
Sam doesn’t choose where to turn left or right, but he has walked far enough to reach the ball room. Classical rendition of modern music is playing, and the middle of the room is already filled with people dancing.
Composing himself again, Sam tugs on his blazer and looks around. He takes a deep breath and decides to go to the table of appetizers and drinks. He grabs a glass of clementine French 75, ditching the empty glass he didn’t realize he was still holding. Sam takes a sip, his mind still clouded by lingering thoughts about Bucky, the woman beside him going unnoticed until she coughs.
Sam jumps a bit, jolting his head to face the woman. She has strikingly pink hair carefully braided into a rose, her dress matching the same color. She’s pretty.
He greets, “...Hello.”
“Deep in thoughts about something, Captain?” She asks, taking the same kind of drink from the table.
Sam didn’t think he’d get recognized, if he’s honest. He shrugs and sighs once more before taking another sip. “I guess. There’s an awful lot of things to think about.” He reasons out, then pauses. “Sorry, um, I didn’t get your name.”
“Rachel,” The pink-haired woman answers, her mesh gloved hand reaching for Sam’s. “Rachel Leighton. I’m with Serpent Solutions.”
Shaking Rachel’s hand, Sam offers her a smile. Okay, he thinks, maybe a distraction is good until Rhodey or Kate somehow finds and saves me.
“You wanna go dance, or?” Sam asks, flipping their hands in a position where hers would be on top of his.
“Should I take the ‘or’?” Rachel jests, drinking another short sip before placing the glass back on the table. She smoothly takes Sam’s drink and puts hers and his side by side, allowing Sam to take her to the dance floor.
The music plays in the background as Sam and Rachel dance. Sam isn’t really familiar with Serpent Solutions, so he asks Rachel about it. She says it’s a cosmetic company, and Sam realizes he doesn’t know shit about cosmetics. Rachel immediately reads that from his face and teases him about it, making Sam bashful, and her amused.
Rachel is an attractive woman. Sam feels bad about calling her a distraction earlier. But what is she other than a placeholder for Bucky? If she wasn’t just a distraction, why is he still thinking about Bucky in his arms, Bucky’s metal hand engulfing his own, them swaying together like it’s their last dance? Rachel is staring at him with her green eyes, the shade almost matching the stone on his ring, yet he longs for the storm clouds trapped behind Bucky’s irises.
Sam swears that he blinks once, and suddenly it’s Bucky that is dancing with him.
He turns to his left and sees Rachel dancing with someone else, evidently annoyed. It looks like they had switched partners, but Sam was drowning in his thoughts so deep that he didn’t realize that he had somehow breathed Bucky into life, right in his arms.
Uncertainty, dread, and anger fight to the top of Sam’s heart. He decides he doesn’t want Bucky here, yet he finds himself holding Bucky’s hand tighter, as if he’d disappear again if he let go.
“She’s no good for you.” Bucky whispers, his eyes locked with Sam once more. There go the storm clouds.
Hearing Bucky’s voice makes it real for Sam. “And you think you are?”
Bucky parts his lips and looks away momentarily. He knows why Sam is acting this way. He knows what he’s done. “That’s not what I meant, Sam. I know who she is.”
“You don’t get to give me unsolicited advice anymore, Bucky. You don’t get to tell me who I should and shouldn’t talk to. We haven’t been friends for a while, as far as I know.”
Looking back to Sam, Bucky steps an inch closer, taking Sam’s breath away. “Is that what we were to you? Just friends?”
Sam feels swelling in his chest due to the way Bucky is looking at him, but he pushes it down. “What else were we? And if we were something else, will that justify you literally fucking ghosting me?”
Bucky’s gaze softens. He looks guilty, his brows knitting together in concern. Before he could utter any apology, however, Sam lets go of him with a sudden push, angrily striding away from the dance floor.
In a room full of people, Bucky had never felt so alone — nonetheless obviously deserved.
Sam feels like he still hasn’t recovered from the asphyxiation he felt from touching Bucky again. He has an overwhelming feeling of hurt and yearning, both making it hard to breathe. He went up another flight of stairs as the trail of people faded this time, empty hallways welcoming his empty heart. Sam cuts a corner and sees a door slightly ajar. He sneaks inside it, finding a small vacant room.
There are statues and furniture, but they are draped with white sheets. A balcony is situated across the room, its doors open with the slight breeze coming in. Sam walks towards it, taking a deep breath, his eyes watering from the swirl of emotions in his chest. He undoes his bow tie and a few buttons to loosen the tightness in his throat.
Throughout the three months of no contact with Bucky, this is the first time Sam has ever felt so conflicted. Not with forgiving him or staying mad for the rest of his life, which would undeniably be too childish, but the way his system reacts to be in the same vicinity as Bucky. He had wished that Bucky had said goodbye properly, even through a goddamn letter, but now he realizes that he didn’t want Bucky to be gone at all.
Bucky was his partner. He was his friend.
He was his, to a certain extent.
And him being plucked away from his life by God took a bigger toll than Sam had thought.
It was all denial.
Because if it wasn’t, then he wouldn’t have felt the ache of needing to escape from Bucky earlier, otherwise he would’ve just kissed him then and there.
“Sam.”
Pivoting around, Sam turns to Bucky’s voice, unquestionably wanting to hear it again.
Bucky is standing across the room and by the door, his chest heaving from running around the halls to find Sam again. His hair is slightly disheveled now, and there’s beads of sweat dripping down his forehead. The band from downstairs can still be heard, their music now slightly muffled. They must be directly above the ball room.
“Why are you here?” Sam mumbles, almost too quiet for Bucky to hear. It’s mostly a question to himself since he somehow managed to summon Bucky twice now.
“She… Rachel Leighton. She’s from Serpent Solutions.” Bucky says, stepping towards Sam.
“She told me that.” Sam responds sharply, standing still.
“A.K.A. Diamondback. Her company isn’t just some beauty company, Sam. They’re involved with genetic mutations. Illegal stuff. I have no idea how she got in here, but she must’ve been looking for you.”
Sam gets taken aback by the new information, but he keeps his cool.
“We’ve had eyes on the group for a while now. We’re still gathering intel about them, and I didn’t really think she’d be here—”
“I can hold my own, you know that, right?” Sam asks.
Bucky stops talking. He looks at Sam, his expression the coldest Bucky has ever seen. Sam starts walking towards him.
“If it’s obviously Thunderbolts business, there’s no need to tell me. And if I’m somehow caught in the crossfire, then I’ll handle it. I don’t need you to tell me what I have to avoid, Bucky. I’m not stupid.”
“I never said that.” Bucky frowns, eyeing Sam up and down. “What the hell’s wrong with you, Sam?”
“What’s wrong with you?” Sam spits out, stopping his stride a foot away from Bucky. “You think you can disappear from my life and come back just like that? Huh?”
Bucky turns away and sighs, placing his hands on his waist in defeat.
“Don’t sigh at me. You’re not the one who got left high and dry. No texts or calls or email, no nothing! Couldn’t even pick up a goddamn pen and paper? You know my address! Three months. Three fucking months, and halfway through month two you appeared on national television as a Thunderbolts member.”
“Sam…”
“Oh, I’m sorry. Leader. And then I gave you more time. Hoping that you’d text and explain why you can’t work with me anymore. Anything along those lines. But you decided it wasn’t worth your time. Radio fucking silence, Bucky.”
“I wasn’t allowed, okay!?” Bucky finally bursts out, throwing a hand in the air. “Woke up one morning and the president’s men were at my door! They took me away.”
Sam’s shoulders slumps at the news. “What?”
Bucky combs his fingers through his hair in frustration, refusing to look at Sam. “He wanted his own group. Something he can control himself. The Accords were dissolved but by hand-picking his own superhero team, he can send them where he needs them. No need for the Avengers.”
Finally, Bucky looks at Sam, and Sam could see the heartbreak through his eyes.
“He made it a part of my pardon. Otherwise I’d be thrown to The Raft. I became the de-facto leader by that. Walker wasn’t happy. Shostakov wasn’t happy. I wasn’t happy. And… Val, the superior we basically report to, monitors my phone. She knew I was close to you. And going by the rules, we shouldn’t be meddling with the Avengers. By the time these were all processed, I was already on TV, and I knew you already despised me.”
“Man, I don’t despise you… I…” Sam rubs the nape of his neck, out of words. “I’m just…”
“Hurt.” Bucky finishes Sam’s sentence, smiling bitterly. It fades right away. “I didn’t mean to hurt you. I never dreamed of hurting you. But I knew that I would the moment I was summoned to the White House. I knew I was going to leave. And I hated that. I hated the fact that I won’t be by your side anymore. I won’t be able to fight with you. Win with you, lose with you. You think if I was allowed to choose, I wouldn’t fucking choose you? There wouldn’t have been options for me, Sam. It’s always just you.”
Sam’s lips quiver at the words. Now, he does feel stupid for overlooking what the situation might’ve been for Bucky. He bites his lip down and shakes his head, tilting it down in dismay. “Then why are you here? With me? You… You should go back. I don’t want you in trouble—”
“Because I want to see you. Like I’ve been wanting to for months. Like I’ve been needing to…” Bucky inches closer to Sam, both his hands slithering around Sam’s waist and under his blazer, sending electricity down Sam’s spine. “Sam. Look at me.”
Sam’s breath hitches again as he slightly lifts his face to meet Bucky’s gaze. Bucky tilts his head sideways as their noses brush against each other’s, his bottom lip barely grazing Sam’s top lip, making both of them inhale a deep breath.
Suddenly, there are footsteps echoing along the hallway outside. Bucky and Sam jump out of their skins, with Bucky lurching backwards to plant his back on the nearby wall. He takes Sam with him, now pressed against his body, both of them alert and wary. Bucky instinctively reaches for the door knob the same time a security personnel reaches for it at the other side.
“Huh. Weird that this door is open.” The guard says, scratching her temple in confusion. “Anyway, Ms. Leighton, I’m not sure where he might be. I haven’t seen him around…” She decides to flick the light switch off before closing the door. At the same time it shuts, Bucky flips the lock, exhaling a sigh of relief. Sam and Bucky listen to Rachel’s complaints until only the music from below remains.
Now, only the moon from the balcony sheds light to the room, the size of it enough to let them see each other.
“Did you just lock the door?” Sam asks in amusement, his eyes adjusting to the dark. He could see Bucky making a funny face about it, obviously wasn’t anticipating getting caught doing that.
Bucky chuckles softly and turns to Sam, their faces still too close, his hand slipping from Sam’s waist down to his hip. “Just… making sure we’re safe from Diamondback.”
“Yeah?” Sam exhales, already touching Bucky’s lips with his again.
Bucky hums in anticipation, but he doesn’t give in just yet. Instead, he plants the kiss on Sam’s jaw, then down on his neck.
Sam feels the touch of Bucky’s hand and his warm breath on his exposed neck all at once, making him shiver. Something inside him tells him he wants this, yet he’s confused. Has Bucky thought of him this way all along, and yet decided to never make a move?
“Did you… is this…” Sam stumbles with his words, “Do you… uh, like me? What’s… What are we— you know?”
Bucky pulls his head back up against the wall and stares at Sam for a moment. All of a sudden, he lifts Sam up with one arm, placing him on top of the covered table nearby with ease. Sam makes a stifled noise, watching Bucky hover above him without ceasing eye contact, with Bucky lodging himself between Sam’s legs.
“I want you, Cap,” Bucky responds, already sounding breathless, his eyes pleading. “I always have.”
I want you, Cap.
The phrase keeps repeating inside Sam’s head, the delivery making him dizzy.
Without much thought, Sam reaches for Bucky’s face after that statement and finally seals their lips together. It starts soft, as if both of them find each other too delicate — then, it grows into craving. Rough and harsh. Like they can’t get enough of each other’s taste. Sam can already feel how raw his lips are going to feel once he lets go. They catch their breath when they can, as short as possible, their hands roaming around each other’s bodies, grasping and pulling fabric. Bucky swiftly tugs his own blazer off his shoulders before undoing Sam’s vest. Then, he abruptly stops and pulls away from Sam’s lips completely, with Sam attempting to chase him back. Everything felt like a trance to Sam, and now it’s broken.
“I want to… I still want to apologize to you.” Bucky mutters as he catches his breath.
Sam anchors himself upwards with his elbows to catch his breath as well, a bit puzzled as to why Bucky says this now. Eitherway, he’s too consumed by Bucky’s entire being — his scent, his warmth, his taste — that he’s only got one thing in his mind.
And so, Sam’s eyes dart down to Bucky’s navy blue pants, now too tight around the groin, and pulls Bucky back in by the waist band.
“Then… apologize properly.”

Everything I read about it now that the run is done just makes Secret Invasion feel like a rushed ego project.
If the whole point of the last slate of movies was to introduce the next gen of heroes (Shang Chi, Kate Bishop, Yelena, etc) then it would have made sense to intro the "new Nick Fury". As in, Maria Hill. Who, in the comics, takes over SHIELD and becomes director. Also, in the comics, does a fair amount of stuff in the Secret Invasion storylines.
Really, why not? Is Sharon as The Power Broker and Val too many powerful women for the MCU? Is it not a proper MCU project if a woman doesn't die (did killing Soren off screen not meet that quota?)?
This very easily could have been the "Fury, you're too hurt to do this now, it's time to let someone else handle it" show that Hawkeye, Black Widow, and Quantumania were.
We also never got payoff on what, exactly, Nick and Maria were doing when they got dusted. Because clearly at some point after Ultron Maria left SI to work directly for Nick again and right before being dusted they talk about getting in contact with "control". And she's still working with (quietly former) CIA agent Ross outside of the US at the beginning of Secret Invasion, with the gadgets of organization, and is still on duty enough to go AWOL but not publicly enough that Talos and Soren can't casually impersonate them without issue.
Speaking of, how the hell does Maria Hill move around the world without being recognized. From the released SHIELD files, as an exec at Stark Industries, as the office face of the Avengers. To say nothing of all the congressional hearings she had to be at because she didn't have the cover of faking her death like Fury did.
Seriously, this could have been the set up for the new, improved SHIELD with Maria at the head, smaller but openly in existence, still the boots on the ground to SWORD's super specialized focus.
Because there is no Avengers organization anymore, Damage Control can't handle it and is too locally focused, and do they honestly think we're going to accept the Thunderbolts as the new guardians of Earth? (And does that read as just a pandering to fans project to anyone else?). What's the point of a new generation of heroes to team up when there is no mechanism to get them teamed up? Do they really think we're going to believe Fury wandering around recruiting new Avengers after how insensitive and incompetent they made him seem in Secret Invasion? Is there really going to be some big bad that draws Baby Ant and Shang Chi from SF and Bishop from NY and Yelena from anywhere in the world to wherever while conveniently not having to deal with their respective travel times? Or is that why Wong is still around? Magic portal travel.
It all feels like the sacrifice of trailing plot points and future coherence (much like the post credits of WandaVision was tossed out the window for Multiverse) for masturbatory indulgence and an over full release schedule.

mcu peter has no friends or family. he's all alone. as much as i want them to fix this (ASAP, one spider boy can only take so much) imagine the POSSIBILITIES
they could introduce harry osborn like they have in the past spiderman franchises. i never talk about it but harry osborn was such a great addition to peter parker's character. the hot, brooding, sarcastic best friend who masks his intelligence, and has major daddy issues. i know ned is sort of the harry replacement in the mcu but i'm greedy so why can't we have both. i imagine they'd meet through either college courses or an internship and become quick friends. peter is in desperate need of a new support system and it could come in the form of a character that is already familiar to previous spiderman fans.
(i know that it's so unlikely that this would happen after green goblin was already introduced in the mcu as a multiversal villain but if every multiverse has a peter, every multiverse has a harry... right? it would be interesting to watch peter struggle to trust harry because his father in an alternate universe was responsible for may's death—and i stand by that whether harry ends up as a villain or an ally)
on the topic of past spiderman movies, it would also be an incredible addition to bring in some gwen stacy action too. obviously not romantically, i love petermj too much for that, but she could join a bonus friend group made up of her, harry, and peter to make up for the one he lost by the spell. also she would balance out harry's bad attitude. i imagine their dynamic would be that of james franco harry osborn, emma stone gwen stacy, and tom holland peter parker. like that would just be so *chefs kiss*
also, one of my favorite possibilities, is that they could bring back HARLEY KEENER. (oh boy am i passionate about this one) the mcu is so incredible and they hardly ever do things without a reason and they brought ty simpkins back for tony's funeral. they brought him back once, WHY NOT BRING HIM BACK AGAIN? imagine him and harley meet (or possibly room together) at a community college in new york and become instant friends. peter is so grateful because he's finally able to find someone that he can be himself with, after losing everyone else he loved and trusted. and little does he know, it's tony's other genius kid
ALSO ALSO ALSO i am in love with the idea of young avengers, correct? there will be a LOng ass post about that to come but in an ideal world, peter and kate bishop would both be part of it. imagine before all of that happens, kate and peter meet somehow (a chance encounter in a coffee shop, a shared college class, running into each other when a villain attacks new york, kate seeking peter out for a new ally—quite literally endless possibilities) and become friends. i can just picture the quips and insults they would send back and forth. just imagine peter being like that one scene in civil war where he won't shut up while fighting sam and bucky, and then kate being like that scene in hawkeye where clint is completely deaf and she keeps trying to talk to him. their combined dumbass energy is incredible and i need it to happen.
anyways thank you for coming to my ted talk, there will be way more to come. i am a little obsessed with mcu if you can't tell and i have So much to say

Curious, what is/are your favorite accessory/ies in each Mazm stories? Anything from jewelries, headwears, decors on clothes, anything
Meep meep.... this is a very interesting question :3 I've never really thought of it but I'll answer anyways !
Would you guys be mad at me if I said guns... looks to the side. I always look at Raoul and Pyotr's guns. Alex's shotgun too.
I really like Pyotr's sundial as well :3
But for actual clothing accessories, the men's ties. There's such variation and it really tells a lot about the character! Blue for Alan and Raoul to represent their benevolence. Red for Hyde to represent his malevolence but Jekyll has a pink tie instead, implying Hyde is a more "saturated" version of him. White for Erik because he's supposed to be the "Angel of Music" + white is hard to wash so it kinda shows his wealth in a way. Kate's red tie formerly belonging to Alan but putting her in contrast with Hyde. Mihir's green to align him with Bishop's group and so on.
ELS BOW
Noah's pendant! I don't know why they added it in Early Access nor it's relevance... but it's pretty :3 Justine's little bow on her collar as well its so cuteeee I'd wear it meow.
THE NECKLACE POLLIE GAVE TO KATE AHHHHHHHHHHHHH. He constantly keeps it visible... either on his breast pocket or neck... THEY ARE IN LOVE THAT IS LOOOOOVE.
Huge on the glasses too. Noah's glasses... (the glasses chain on his halloween art is really hot) they make him so soft. Althouuuuugh most of the MazM characters have that exact same circular shape like Kate and Lizaveta. Makoto has the more oval shaped ones tho. This also counts the monocles! Mihir, Utterson etc etc
I'm also erm... a big fan of the bandages on Noah's hand. It's kinda moe factor.
Remy's wig...

So I decided to design also Hawkeye movies, I estimated that there should be four movies about Hawkeye.
But before I start I want to say that the only things that makes me qualified to design movies are tiktoks and videos that I watched about making movies, being in theatre classes, my teachers passion to talk about movies, being marvel fan, hating on mcu, my ADHD and overthinking at night random stuff.
So in the first part would be about Clint getting to know Natasha and it would end with joining the Avengers. It introduces him and the way he acts.
The second part would be about his childhood, but told in retrospection, him being human disaster while trying to deal with crimes. His terrible relationship skills, introducing of Barny. Probably . Shows a little bit of Kate Bishop (not as a hawkeye yet) and Clint fits her dad.
And the third part, it starts with quick summary what happened in the time between. And we get His time as Ronin. Kate Bishop becoming a Hawkeye, we get to see were from comes ronin mantle.
The last movie shows in flashbacks that finally he again started to go by Hawkeye, him and Kate being Partners, adoption of Lucky the pizza dog. Based on Kelly Thompson comic.
Don't worry there will be more parts, maybe that's why you should worry

Not Who You Think I Am Part 4
Summary: You make a few changes to your deal with Fisk while Kate plans a long and overdue date night
Tumblr media
"No more tracksuits" You said crossing your arms over your chest
Wilson Fisk didn't answer you immediately instead he kept his relaxed position leaning back in his chair. He acted like he didn't have a care in the world. When oddly it was him who sent you a text around nine this morning demanding your presence. He said he wanted to discuss a serious matter. You figured it had something to do with most of Tracksuit Mafia being arrested two days ago.
Being true to her word Kate had called the cops and gave them the location to the warehouse. You knew it wouldn't take long for Fisk to get word of it, and decided that you wanted some peace before the storm. So you acted as if nothing had happened and enjoyed a lazy day in bed with Kate.
After everything that had went down she wasn't too keen without letting you out of her sight. The next day either so you didn't protest when she asked that you tag along with her to Bishop Security. Even though her mother had attempted to freeze her out of the company. The board of the advisors were able to pull some strings, and prevent Eleanor from forcing her daughter out of the job. While no at the company was a huge fan of Eleanor and her ties to the criminal world. They loved Kate and she was good at her job, and it was still a family business. The two days without having to worry illegal shipment of weapons, drugs, and who knows what else. While also trying to keep your identity from your vigilante girlfriend were blissful and went by way too fast.
But the two days away from all the chaos did give you sometime to clear your head and really think. Leading you to come to one conclusion the remainder of the Tracksuit mafia had to go. Which is the first thing you wanted to discuss with the big boss.
Finally after just sitting there in silence Fisk leaned forward in his chair folding his hands together on top of his desk. "Now why would I agree to that?" He asked his face nor his voice showing any signs of emotion.
You let out a sigh "if you don't I will walk."
The veins in his hands became visible as he flexed his hands. "We had a deal y/n or did you forget? You lead the Tracksuits as they finish handling all business affairs I had with them, and only after that do I leave you alone for good. It would not be wise for you to go back on your word with me. You don't need me to tell what would happen if you did."
You took a deep breath and slowly released it doing your best to keep your cool. Your hand was itching to pull your sword free, and just bully him into your new terms. But he was a business man so you would just negotiate. "Your Tracksuits are idiots no offense Fisk" you told him taking a seat in one of the chairs. "They got caught because of their own stupidity."
"I heard they got caught because you aided Kate Bishop in her escape. After they managed to successfully capture her and were planning to finally dispose of her properly."
It took everything in you not to reach across the desk to punch him. For some reason he had no bodyguards in this room with him, maybe he thought you weren't a threat. It would be his mistake. "Kate Bishop is practically an Avenger now, and just because they don't seem like the unified threat. They were before some of died fighting Thanos, some decided to explore space, and the others scattered. That doesn't mean they aren't still keeping tabs on each other. Do you really want to fall on their radar in your current condition? I thought that's why you wanted all of this handled in discreet."
Fisk looked as if he wanted to argue but you had a made the perfect point. His vision still hadn't returned to him even though the doctors promised. The damage done to his brain which was causing the blindness wasn't permanent, and eventually his eyesight should recover. The bandage wrapped around his head covering his eyes was the indicator of the injury, and why he was still in hiding. "Fine you make a good point but still if she insists on interfering in my affairs-
He couldn't see it but he definitely felt the breeze of your sword being whipped from the scabbard, and the tip of it resting on his neck. He stopped talking and swallowed hard. "What are you doing?"
"Making myself clear I can handle Kate Bishop and I will finish the job, but if I get to ride solo from now on. Your little lackeys are holding me back, and I don't need a babysitter. I know you don't trust me Fisk and I get it, because I don't trust either. But we don't need to trust each other to get this done. I'm on your only life line here to get this done, and you won't give me any peace until the job is complete. So let's just trust those two reasons are enough and neither will betray the other."
Fisk gave you a small nod to show his agreement, and you pulled your sword away to sheath it. "I'm glad we understand each other now."
"Just one more thing y/n"
You were getting ready to leave but paused with your hand on the doorknob. You looked over your shoulder at him, and even though his eyes were covered. He still managed to have a murderous expression. "If you fail me I will take away everything and everyone you care about, and leave you alive to suffer with the knowledge you caused it."
"I understand" You told him through gritted teeth before leaving the office. Not caring to hear his response.
Home
The apartment was a thirty minute drive away from Fisk's location, but you were so anxious to have Kate back in your sights. After Wilson's threat you made the drive in ten minutes, and while there might be some traffic tickets in the mail for you. A week or so from now it was all worth it when you walked into your shared apartment, and found Kate whipping up some breakfast with music playing in the background. She shook her hips to rhythm of the song while flipping pancakes into the air. And not just any pancakes but dinosaur shaped ones. Your favorite type of pancakes.
When she first found out about the joy that any animal or monster shaped pancakes brought you. She teased you about it but would always make them on a special occasion or whenever you were down. And even though Kate never said it you knew she was obsessed with the way your eyes would light up, and how giddy your behavior came. It was like you were a little kid instead an adult in her early twenties working at a dojo.
Even after the tense meeting with Fisk you still couldn't fight that feeling either. All of your worries were washed away as you ran up behind Kate and wrapped your arms around her middle. She let out a squeal as you planted sloppy kisses all of her cheek, and her neck scrunched up. When you trailed down knowing the kisses would get leave a ticklish trail.
"he-hey c-cut it ou-out y/n before I burn the pancakes" Kate giggled
"I love you Katie-bear you know that right." You replied pulling away to let her focus.
"Yes I know and I love you too and I plan on showing you just how much today."
You let her take all the pancakes out and stack them on a plate before turning her around in your arms. She wounded her arms around your neck in return and leaned in for a real kiss.
"I'm sorry I left without saying anything this morning had to handle some business at the dojo." You said when the kiss was finally broken.
"Its okay I hope the business was canceling any scheduled appointments. You belong to me today."
"Oh I do now" You teased with a raised eyebrow.
"Yeah I hope so I mean I feel like I've been neglecting you lat-"
You cut her off with a peck. "It hasn't been just you Kate I haven't exactly been girlfriend of the year lately either."
"Well find then we both owe each other so today you're mine for all the epic plans I made for us" she asked again.
"Okay but after pancakes right" You asked with a childlike expression as your attention turned to the plate.
"You're not going to wait for the bacon or eggs" Kate asked with a grin.
You shook your head breaking out of her embrace and grabbing the plate off the counter. With no hesitation you took a Stegosaurus pancake in your hand and proceeded to take a huge bite out of it. There was a unexpected chocolatey taste to it that melted in your mouth, and made you do a little jump. "You put chocolate chips in these."
Kate nodded watching withe glee as you scarfed the pancake down. "Hey make sure you save me some pancake monster."
"No way too delicious to share."
"I cooked them" she exclaimed.
You shrugged and took off running as Kate gave chase. In the end you did indeed end up sharing once she tackled you onto the couch. Somehow you managed to keep the pancakes from falling over, but it made it easier for her to wrestle you onto your stomach to pin you. Kate snatched the plate away from you, but did feed you your equal share. Afterwards she told you to dress in something casual and meet her outside.
You threw on some blue jeans, a white shirt with one of her purple sweatshirts, and some white sneakers. It was common practice for the two of you steal each other's clothes. So Kate didn't mind at all and had taken one of your jackets already. The date started with a car ride to an ice skating rink. Even though it wasn't really her thing you were a pro at it, and loved to do it. Because she was so busy taking down the Tracksuit Mafia during Christmas. Kate missed the tradition where you and her would go iceskating in Times Square, and this was before you were aware of everything. So you were genuinely upset with her.
"You know you didn't have to make up for not going with me last year right. I forgave you" You reminded her.
"I know but I wanted too plus I thought maybe you could show me some moves?" Kate explained holding a pair of ice skates of her own.
The smile on your face got even wider, and you gave her nod. Once both of you were suited up you wasted no time in pulling her out onto the sheet of ice. Kate immediately wrapped her arms around your neck insisting for you not to let go. You didn't and thirty minutes later y'all were skating side by side holding hands and laughing.
Everything went right that day after the rink Kate took you by an archery range. This time she was the one teaching you something, and even though you didn't hit the bullseye. You didn't mind having her arms constantly around you showing how to hold the bow and aim. Next on her list was a doggy date with Lucky in the park he ran around free. While the two of you just sat on the bench and watched until he made the two of you get up, and take turns throwing a frisbee. A delivery guy brought food from a restaurant both of you loved, and you ate at lunch table. The day came to an end at a jewelry store and this stop really caught you off guard. So much you hesitated even when Kate beckoned you forward.
"Kate you promised me no super expensive jewelry. I can't exactly return the favor" You protested.
Kate let out a exasperated sigh. "Its not super expensive I promise just come look at it before turning it down please."
You gave in letting her lead you inside. There was a row of display cases on the right side filled with diamond rings, diamond studs, and diamond necklaces. In the lobby part was some single displays that held some more fancy pieces. You gawked at the sight of them and also the price
"It isn't one of those" Kate reassured you taking your hand to lead you over to a well-dressed man. "It came in today right?"
"Yes Ms.Bishop the necklace did and I hope it doesn't disappoint." He said pulling out a long black box, and opened the top.
In it was a heart charm necklace with tiny amethyst stones embedded in the heart, and a sliver arrow shooting through. It had simple silver chain.
"Its perfect and my payment went through online already" she confirmed.
The man nodded pushing it towards her. "Its all yours."
"Great thanks Ben." Kate stuffed the necklace in her jacket pocket, and led you out of the store. You were slightly confused but stayed quiet as y'all began walking back home. One of your neighbors were waiting outside for you. A nice elderly lady two doors down from y'all. She would dog sit Lucky from time to time when both of you got caught up with work.
"She's going to take Lucky up" Kate explained. "I got one more thing to show you."
"Katie you're making it really hard for me to outdo on the next date" You complained.
"Come on you love how competitive I can be" she snorted leading you to back of the building.
The two of you went in through a back door that led to some stairs. Even though you didn't really feel like climbing ten flight of stairs. When she made a game out of it seeing who could reach the top first. You were game beating her by pinning her to the wall on the sixth flight, and distracting her with a heated make out session. When you pulled away and dashed the rest of the way. She was still leaning back against the wall in flustered state.
The sight at the top of the run made you stop though and revel in its beauty. The sun was just starting to set and mixed in with all of the other tall buildings was a ray of colors. There was a blanket laid out right in the middle, and a few seconds later. Kate was nudging you in its direction revealing her true intentions. The two of you ended up on resting on the blanket with your head using her stomach as a pillow. One of her hands played with her hair while other held one of your hands.
"This was the perfect day thank you for that" You whispered knowing she would hear.
"You deserved it and it was needed. I've been thinking a lot about that night you came home. All worried about losing me and stuff" She felt your body stiffened. "It just made me realize y/n that I couldn't handle losing you either. This my sound corny but you're my home and without you I would surely be lost."
You pulled yourself up into a sitting position at those words to gaze back at her. Your heart pounding in your chest as she did the same while digging the necklace out. "I got you this to kinda represent that you know the arrow will always guide me back home to your heart. If that makes any sense I'm pretty sure its som-" Her rambling was cut off as you leaned over to press your lips to hers. She returned the kiss with just as much passion while still managing too hook the necklace around your neck. After that her hands cupped your face as you moved in closer to press feverish kiss along her jaw and neck.
"I love you Katie and you have been my home since day one. When I met you and nothing will ever tear us apart I promise" You swore in between kisses.
She guided your lips back to hers for another lip lock before pulling back to look you in the eyes. "I don't know if you don't finish what you started in the stairwell. I might be inclined to disagree babygirl." A moan slipped from your throat as you pushed her back onto the blanket.
There was only one last wish left on your lips but you kept it to yourself. You wanted this moment to last forever, but moments like this were so rare and few.
Not to mention perfect and nothing so perfect could last forever, but gosh did you wish for it every night.

When Worlds Collide Part 3
Tumblr media
Kate Bishop x Female Spiderwoman reader (basically has Miles powers; invisibility, electric webs)
Summary: Pancakes with Kate
Warnings: Some swearing
A/N: Thanks for all the support, you guys keep me motivated :) I know these chapters are kinda small but honestly, it's just less daunting that way and it makes it easier to write, I hope you don't mind. Also, I made a playlist WWC
PART ONE | PART TWO | PART FOUR
You woke up earlier than you would have liked, the noise coming from the street below seeped its way through the apartment windows and the binding lights crept through the gaps of the blinds. Opening your eyes, you adjusted quickly to the unfamiliar bedroom.
Part of you thought that maybe last night was all a dream, but as you looked down at Kate’s hoodie, you remembered that the raven-haired girl was very much real. Your cheeks heated up at the thought of wearing her clothes.
Stepping into the bathroom, you brushed your teeth with the spare toothbrush Kate had left out for you, which happened to be a more pastel shade of purple compared to hers. God, this woman and the colour purple.
You saw that she had left your now cleaned suit, folded neatly on the sink countertop, your underwear hidden underneath. Once again, a small blush invaded your cheeks. You put your web shooters on your wrists, feeling much more comfortable with them on than off, and decided you would change into your suit later.
Kate woke up earlier than you had, finding the couch much more uncomfortable than she remembered, but glad she didn't let you sleep on it still. She decided to get some small jobs done before you woke up, one of them was to ring Clint to let him know she was stopping by the compound with you.
“Kate, it's 6:30 in the morning, why are you even up?” Clint grumbled down the phone. It wasnt the fact that she had woken him up, Clint - much like Natasha - was an avid fan of waking up at 5 in the morning to train before everyone else. He liked the mornings for himself because everyone else was asleep so no one would bother him. Until his little protege called.
“Goodmorning to you too,” Kate chuckled, “I have something to tell you.”
Kate could hear the man sigh slightly on the phone, she knew not to take it personally. “What?”
“So basically, last night I was out on patrol–”
“-- I thought we agreed that you wouldn't go out by yourself anymore, Kate.”
“Yeah, we did… but I decided not to listen,” Kate replied sheepishly, “Anyways, that's not the point. When I was out last night, this girl basically fell out of the sky from this weird portal thing. Like it had all these bright colours and everything. And basically, she’s like Spiderman, but she’s definitely not a man and she's from another universe. She didn’t even know who you guys were, she thought the avengers were a band. Isn’t that weird? I feel like Natasha would be pretty good on Bass guitar, what do you think?”
“Sure.”
“Clint, I feel like you’re not that impressed by anything I just said,” Kate said, annoyed that he wasn’t interested in you. Who the hell wouldn’t be interested in you?
“Why don’t you just bring her to the compound? We can figure out what to do from then, ok?”
“Fine, you are really no fun today are you?” Kate teased, hearing the avenger grumble something inaudible before disconnecting the call. “Old man…”
After finishing a couple of other jobs, including the laundry which left her a little flustered, to say the least, she decided to make you guys some pancakes, gald she took Yelena’s advice and got more than one fork for her apartment.
She saw you walking into the kitchen before she heard you, thinking to herself that you were very light on your feet, much like Yelena and Natasha. “Hey, you sleep okay?” Kate asked, smiling at your tied eyes. She thought you were very cute in the mornings.
“Yeah, thank you again for letting me stay,” You replied, your voice tired but sincere.
Kate looked up from the pan, “Of course,” She smiled, finding your heavy eyes hard to look away from. “I hope you like pancakes?”
“Who doesn’t?”
Kate chuckled a little at your response, “Good point.”
When both your plates were full, you took a seat at the kitchen table, eyebrows raised at the way Kate drowned her pancakes in syrup. “You want some?” She asked, receiving a small nod from you. When she handed the bottle over, your fingers brushed gently with hers, sending a small amount of electricity running through your arm at the feeling. Literally.
“Ouch, static shock,” Kate laughed it off, waving her hand in the air slightly to get rid of the burn.
“I’m sorry, that was my fault.” Kate looked at you with a puzzled expression, you found it quite adorable how expressive her face could be. “Another one of my powers, I can conduct electricity, I call it my venom” You explained, raising your fist from the table to show the orange electricity consuming it.
“Wow,” Kate said, muffled by the pancake in her mouth.
“Yeah, pretty cool, I guess.”
Kate quickly swallowed her food, “Pretty cool? You can climb walls, shoot webs, turn invisible, and create electricity. You’re amazing! Like, the amazing-spider girl! Holy shit.”
You couldn’t help your cheeks heating up at the praise Kate was giving you, “Thank you, Kate.”
“I can’t wait to show you off to the others, you’re way cooler than our spiderman,” She laughed, and the redness on your cheeks stayed strong at the thought of her showing you off. Like you were hers to claim.
“Well, I hope I don’t disappoint.”
“Trust me, they’re gonna love you.”

Maybe I'm a shallow person, but the 1st thing that made go "hmm ugghh" on Meghan was her messy bun & oversize coat. And the ripped jeans at Toronto Invictus. I mean, those are work events, so dress nicely & properly, why her hair was all over the place?? Even now when I saw the Neflix docu, she still looked....not good. I sense she wanted to show herself as a free effortless chic American, as opposed to Kate's stiff proper Brits; and I don't like that, to me she just showed herself as careless to her job and didn't look good either. And the wedding just full of red flags to me (all the celebs! no other family members, just her mom! the Bishop's speech!), then the NY baby shower made me decided that she's trouble.
I don't really have much opinion about Toronto Invictus because she wasn't there working, she was there in a personal capacity.
Also, as someone who is a very big messy bun fan, there's a time and a place for it. Working at home? The grocery store? Walking the dog? Sure. A meeting at my kid's school? A book signing? Absolutely not.
I think what she didn't understand is that we like Catherine's "stiff, proper" Brit-esque style. It's one the Brits adopt themselves. If we wanted to be seen as effortless, free, whatever her style is, we would do it. We're stuffy and we like it hahaha

I gotta know what about Yelena that made FB Kate settle down? Has Yelena asked her this question?
Three-year anniversary trip. Kate and Yelena went up the Massachusetts coast for the weekend. Yelena was about halfway through the first fall semester of her Masters at MIT. They had committed to trying long-distance and had agreed it would be a BITCH, but neither of them wanted to give this up, so they were going to give it a shot.
They were sitting on the beach, looking out into the ocean in silence. But it was a comfortable silence. They were just...being. It was fucking freezing, but they were wrapped in three blankets and holding each other, so it was (mostly) fine. The sand was still cold as shit, so their asses were definitely numb. They'd have to find fun ways to warm them later.
Out of nowhere Yelena breaks the embrace and turns to face Kate.
"Why?"
"Hmmm? Why what?"
"Why me? I'm just curious...you've been with so many people. Why me?"
"This feels like a trap."
Yelena laughs.
"It's not. I promise."
Kate pauses to ponder.
"I don't know. There's not...one thing? You're sexy as fuck and you say THE CRAZIEST, HOTTEST shit in bed. You drive me fucking insane...I literally think about you all day, even when I'm five hours away. I want to have more sex with you even when we just had sex. I can't keep my hands off you."
Kate grabs Yelena and pulls her back towards her, forcing her into the same position they were in a minute ago. Yelena rolls her eyes.
"Of course...The sex..."
Kate plants a series of kisses on Yelena's neck.
"You didn't let me finish!....DEFINITELY also the lingerie collection. Wooooof! Mmmmmm...babyyyy...no lie, best one I've ever seen."
Yelena slaps Kate's thigh.
"I'm being serious, Kate."
"SO AM I! You're being so damn impatient! It's a list. Can you let me get through it?" Kate squeezes Yelena tighter and kisses the side of her head. "Are you?"
"Sure..."
"You're smart as hell. It's kind of a turn-on when I hear you talking about things and I have NO CLUE what you're saying. Truly. Gets me going so hard."
"You're so weird, Kate Bishop."
"Speak nerd to me ALL DAY."
Yelena laughs.
"I'll keep that in mind. What else is on this list?"
"I have so much fun watching you when you don't think I am."
"Creep."
"You do so much weird shit and I'm a fan of every single bit. When you're confused by something you're reading, you rub your ring finger on your thumb. You only use the remote with your left hand even though you're a righty. I never thought I'd love the way someone sits in bed and mindlessly plays with their floss pick for like twenty minutes while they scroll through their phone, but...I do."
"I don't do any of that."
Kate laughs while talking.
"Oh, yes you do! Could write a whole book of all the tiny little weird things you do, babe."
"I could write fifty of yours. Is there anything else or are you going to end on insulting me?"
"I didn't insult you! So sensitive..." Kate laughs and kisses the side of her head. "Let's see..." Now she starts rapid-firing stuff. "I'm a fan of your cooking, I love the way you dance - insanely sexy, I love to watch you with my sister, I love that you let me steal your dad, I love exploring and finding new things to do with you, I love telling you about my day and hearing about yours, I love it when you jetpack me at night, I *ADORE* hearing you snore...BIG FAN..."
"You're done."
Yelena tries to stand but Kate keeps her in place.
"Shhhhhhh...You make any place feel like home. It doesn't matter if it was your shitty apartment, mine, your parent's place, a hotel, an AirBnb. Anywhere we are feels right. Like we're meant to be there. Together. I spent a lot of time floating around between my parent's places...I spent a lot of time floating around in general. I didn't know I needed that feeling until you."
Yelena relaxes into Kate's arms again.
"I love how you're this amazing fucking human being. You're a perfect daughter, an incredible friend, you TA and you're there for all your students even though you have a job AND an insane workload to begin with. You went out and volunteered to help people when the fire happened...I don't even have words for you as a girlfriend. You're...you're not fucking real, baby. You seem made up because no one can be this fucking perfect."
"I'm hardly perfect, Kate."
There's a long lull.
"Was that the list?"
"No. There's still one more."
But Kate doesn't say anything immediately after and Yelena doesn't push her. After what feels like forever but is in reality just a couple of minutes, Kate speaks again.
"The last time DJ was in rehab, we talked, and I asked him what happened. Why did he start again? He was doing so good for a while. He told me it gets loud inside his head and the only time he can make it quiet is when he's high. It was the first time he's ever even tried to explain what the fuck, and for once, I got it. But it also scared me because it gets loud as shit inside my head too. A lot." Kate goes silent and still for a long beat. "And the only time it's not is when I'm with you."
Yelena instantly turns to look at her, eyes overflowing with affection and devotion.
"He has drugs, I got your tiddies...How we get by I guess..."
Yelena sighs and chuckles as she brings her forehead to rest on Kate's.
"Every time. How do you always ruin it at the last possible second every single time?"
Kate gives her one of these: 😬😬😬
"Hidden talent?"
"I don't think it's that hidden."
Yelena joins their lips.
"That was a good list. Thank you."
"Thank you for putting up with me being a dumbass for three years."
"Certainly a challenge." Yelena chuckles. "But you're the dumbass I chose and will keep choosing every day."
Yelena kisses her.
"Good to know." Kate steals another series of pecks and then throws the question back at Yelena. "Why me?"
"Oh, it was absolutely the abs." Yelena kisses her. "And the GIANT back tattoo."
"I knew it! The two things that always seal the deal."
Yelena stands and pulls Kate up with her.
"Come on. My ass is numb...and you earned me breaking out the new lace negligee I bought."
"YES, I DID!"
They move back towards the beach house. It's a good thing the property is far away from all the neighboring houses because that night, Yelena showed her appreciation for Kate's vulnerability in more ways than one.

SPOILERS FOR THE MARVELS CREDIT SCENE UNDER THE CUT!!!
So I haven't seen the movie yet myself. But I heard something about the movie that made me scream and so hyped!!!!
More under the cut:
THEY SHOWED BEAST!!!! LIKE HABHSAHSHS!!!! HE WAS REALLY THERE IN THE CREDIT SCENE!!!!!
IF I TELL YOU HOW MUCH I SCREAMED!!!!!
I'm so hyped for this especially because they casted Kelsey Grammer again and I loved him as Beast in the old movies!!!!
Beast always was one of my absolute favorites and beside Hulk one of my first favorites ever!!!! I watched all the cartoons back then and I just loved him so much!!! I also loved him in the movies even if in the old movies he just had such a minor role...
I so want Bruce and Hank to work together at one point like Tony and Bruce used to work together!!!! Just imagine Professor Hulk and Beast in one room 😭 I WANT THIS SO BAD!!!!
But also Disney PLEASE! If you are really bringing the X-Men and mutants into the MCU for gods sake let Mystique wear some clothes like she does in the comics and cratoons and like everywhere except for the life action movies. I never understood why she's always running around completley naked there... Like I get it mutant and proud. But you can also be 'mutant and proud' while wearing at least some clothes... Idk this kinda always bothered me... Even Beast who has fur everywhere is wearing clothes... SO PLEASE PUT SOMETHING ON MYSTIQUE!!!!
Anyway I'm so hyped for the X-Men and I hope they bring some more of the old cast back. I really want James Marsden as Cyclops again or Ian Mckellen as Magneto! But I think chances are high with the return of Patrick Stewart as Charles, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and now Kelsey Grammer as Beast.
On the other hand I wouldn't mind if some characters get recasted like Storm. Nothing against Helle Berry but I know Storm from the cartoons and saw pictures of her from the comics and in my opinion the actress didn't really fit the role. She's a great actress but she just didn't really looked that part... I saw people having DeWanda Wise, Yaya DaCosta or Yetide Badaki as fancast. Tbh I loved Yetide Badaki the most for that role. I don't know much about the actresses but their look just slam!! She also already played a goddess in American Gods a series I still want to watch. And according to other marvel fans her acting skills would be perfect for that role.
I mean look at her!!! She's perfect!!!! This woman screams goddess and vibes so much with Storm. She looks that part so much and as far as I know she also would love to play the character. SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR DISNEY/MARVEL???
Yetide Badaki

You already made one of my wishes come true by casting Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop who has been my no. 1 fancast for that role for years. So pleeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaasssssseeeeeee I'm begging you. Go and get this woman for Storm!!!
