football or football?
Tumblr media
lucy bronze x reader
lucy won the very close poll.
been seeing the whole taylor swift and travis kelce thing on tiktok and got this idea.
this became longer than Iithought it’d be. was supposed to be a ficlet. oh, well.
let me know what you think!
-grey
———
For the past two weeks, you’ve been trending on twitter. At first you don’t know what it’s about, but your publicist caught you up saying how there’s a footballer — American footballer — who keeps mentioning you in interviews and on his podcast. It was honestly getting pretty annoying, not just to you, but also to your very jealous girlfriend.
You’d both decided to keep your relationship private, with you being a popular musician and your girlfriend being a top footballer in the league. Except, the media has been labeling your relationship as friends, best friends who support each other. Never once has there been an article where you both are speculated to be dating.
You’ve both been fun with it, being able to not have to hide anything, but with the whole Travis Kelce using your name to stay relevant to the media, your girlfriend is getting fed up.
“I don’t know why he keeps bringing you up? Not once have you mentioned him on anything. ‘The ball is in your court?’ Like what does that mean?” Lucy rambles.
“Honestly, I’m getting tired of it too. I’ve been so busy with touring that I didn’t even know about it until Sarah told me.” You reply, cuddling up to her on the bed, your head on her chest.
“Did Sarah tell you what you should do?”
“Sarah’s pretty much fed up like the both of us so she said it’s up to me. She doesn’t care if I tell him to fuck off, I’d do it anyway without telling her.”
“Didn’t you say he invited you to a game?”
“Yeah, he did. Why?” You we’re getting skeptical with the way Lucy has a smirk and mischievous look on her face.
“Don’t you think it’s time for us to come out, no?”
“Been together four years. Probably long overdue.”
“Well you better tell him that you’d love to accept that invitation, with a plus one of course.”
“I’m liking the way you think.”
———
Now a week later, you and Lucy were dressed up in red, arriving at Arrowhead Stadium. Lucy had a red England bucket hat on that she took off your head. You were being escorted to the friends and family box by security, running into people who recognized you. One hand holding Lucy’s the other waving to people as you passed.
Walking into the box, you were met with lots of people, Travis’ mom was the one to come and greet you.
“It’s nice to meet you Mrs. Kelce.”
“Oh, please call me Donna. It’s so nice to meet you. I’m a big fan of your music, been wanting to meet you ever since Travis said that you’d both started talking.”
“That’s so nice of you, thank you, but unfortunately all the conversations your son had with me are one sided. I’ve never once entertained anything he said. The only time I’ve texted back was to tell him I’d love to attend a game. Never been to an American Football game before.”
“Really? My son said you guys were getting along.”
“Unfortunately for him, we haven’t. But I’d like to introduce you to my partner Lucy.”
“Oh, it’s very nice to meet you as well Lucy. I’m sorry if my son cause any trouble between the two of you.”
“It’s no worries at all. Excited to watch the game.”
“You’ve got an accent. Where are you from?”
“From England.”
“Yeah, I’m a sucker for accents. But let’s not let the situation get in the way and enjoy this game.”

The game just finished. Everyone is cheering as the Chief’s won a game at home. You and Donna hug each other close, jumping up and down. Lucy was actually awestruck by all the people celebrating their team winning, thinking back to all the times fans of hers and her team celebrated like this.
Moments after, you follow Debby to the hallways, no doubt leading to her son. Travis comes out freshly showered and changed a bit after, going straight to his Mom for a hug. Then he turns to you opening his arms out for a hug, so you give him a side hug, not wanting to be mean. Cameras click nonstop towards the two of you.
“It’s nice to finally meet you.” He says to you.
“You as well. Great game you played out there.”
“Thank you. Wanna go somewhere more private so we can hear each other better without the prying eyes?”
“Yeah, sure.”
He leads towards the exit, you following behind him, your hand holding Lucy’s tightly, who Travis hadn’t acknowledged at all. Exiting towards the garage where his and your cars are parked, you relax a bit, relieved to be away from the cameras. Lucy walks a bit off to the side to let you two talk, but still close enough to hear, in case he says something he shouldn’t.
“Im glad you accepted my invite.”
“Yeah, me too. I’ve never been to or seen an American Football game.”
“American Football?”
“Well, yeah. The U.S is the only one that plays this sport. Football is played throughout the world.”
“Wow, you’re gonna be like that?” He says, thinking you’re flirting with him by saying his sport isn’t widely played.
“Be like what?”
“Never mind. But I just wanted to ask if you wanna hang out right now? Get to know each other a bit more.” He steps closer towards you, but you step back.
“I’d have to decline. My girlfriend and I have to get back to England. She’s got a couple Football matches coming up.”
“Girlfriend?” Travis is shocked by the information. “I didn’t know you were even with someone.”
“I’m surprised no one knows. They see two girls and automatically think they’re best friends or something. But, no, been with that girl right there four years. It was very obvious.” You wave Lucy over. “Travis this is Lucy Bronze, my girlfriend—”
“—Actually fiancé. Proposed a couple weeks ago, so there’s still some getting used to. It’s nice to meet you mate. Heard you’ve been talking ‘bout my girl pretty often past few weeks.”
The look on Travis’ face is laughable.
“Uh, yeah. Sorry about that. I didn’t know.”
“Yeah, we’re very private people. But now that you’ve met my girl after being all up in her DM’s, you’d stop using her name to stay relevant yeah? ‘Cause it’s making you look desperate.”
You didn’t interfere. You’re stood off to the side, a proud look on your face.
“Yeah, of course. Never again.”
“The last thing you should talk about in that little podcast of yours is a public apology using her name for fame like many men have in the past.”
After a moment of Lucy staring at Travis she speaks up again. It was a bit funny how intimidated he looked at Lucy, seeing as she’s almost a foot shorter than him
“Well, mate, we best be off. I’ve got some Football to be preparing for, my girl by my side always. Best of luck to you. Hope you find someone that isn’t taken.”
With that, she takes a hold of your hand, leading you to the car. You give him a little wave, leaving him speechless in the middle of the parking garage.

Not your typical date | Wanda Maximoff | Part 2
Tumblr media
Pairing: Wanda Maximoff x Reader
Summary: After meeting Wanda's kids and you spend more and more time getting to know her and her family.
Masterlist | Marvel masterlist | Words: 1.2k
Part 1 | Part 2
Since that first day that you had met Billy and Tommy, you spent the weekends that the boys were with Wanda at their place. The boys loved showing you a new recipe every week and you loved to learn every recipe that they wanted to show you. Unintentionally the four of you had started your own little tradition. Billy and Tommy loved having you around, and when they found out that you loved gaming as much as you did, they loved it even more.
On the weekends and throughout the week, you spent most of your free time with Wanda. The two of you continued to get to know each other and grow closer together. To be honest, it felt like you had known Wanda for a lifetime, in the best way possible. You clicked so instantly that you couldn’t remember your life without her. Over the months you had met her friends and her brother Pietro, you loved being a part of Wanda’s life. She had also met your friends and family, everything just clicked perfectly.
You were walking around the grocery store when you saw Wanda’s name pop up on your screen. She was working today, so you hadn’t expected her call, but picked up after the second ring. “Hi baby.” You say as you pick up. “Hi love, I’m so sorry to ask you this, but I desperately need a favor.” You hear worry in her voice, “Of course, anything.” You assure her. “I just got a call from the boy’s school that they have both spiked a fever, and they need to be picked up. I can’t get away from work, I have a meeting with the big bosses today and they flew in for this meeting. After the fishing trip thing with Vision, I cannot ask him to pick them up and I was hoping that maybe you would be able to. I know it is a lot to ask.” - “Hey Wands, it’s not too much to ask, I’ve got you. Just text me the address of the school and I’ll be on my way.” You hear Wanda release a deep sigh, “Thank you so much, I’ll let the teacher know you’ll be picking them up and I’ll come right over when my meeting is done. I love you, thank you.” You smile at how much she cares for her sons. “I love you too, baby. I’ll keep you updated on the boys.”
You grab a few ingredients for chicken noodle soup, and kids medicine before heading to the register, forgetting the rest of your shopping. When you arrive at the school the boys are both looking pale sitting at the nurses station. You had planned to take them to their own house, but seeing as they were nauseous and the car ride wasn’t helping much in that department you decided to bring them to yours instead, since it was closer to the school. Once inside you led them to the guest room, you had them sit down on the bed so you could take their shoes off for them. “Mommy always gives us one of her really big shirts when we’re sick.” Tommy says with a shrill voice. “Do you have those too, y/n?” You set their shoes to the side. “Two big shirts coming up.”
The shirts you grabbed turned out to be exactly what they meant. You helped them change since their bodies hurt too much to do it themselves. You tucked them in and said that you would be right back. In a couple of minutes you were by their side again with two cups of water and some of the medicine that you got. “Your mom said that this is the medicine you usually take at home. Here, this should make you feel better soon.” And handed each of them some. You also placed a cold washcloth on their foreheads since they were heating up again. “Okay, try to get some sleep, boys. I will be right outside if you need anything okay? And your mom will be here soon too.”
You walked into the kitchen and texted Wanda an update on the boys and told her that you took them to your place. She was in her meeting but you knew that she would be worried about them and would check her phone the moment that she had time. After that you started on the soup so that it would be ready for when the boys woke up.
About two hours after you tucked Billy and Tommy in you heard footsteps coming your way. “Hey guys, how are you feeling?” Neither one of them still felt nauseous, but they said that they still weren’t feeling great. You offered them some soup, they each took a few sips of the broth before saying that they were done with it. “That’s okay. Do you guys maybe want to watch a movie before your mom get’s back?” They picked out the movie that they wanted to watch and sat down on the couch on either side of you. Tommy leaned into your side so you wrapped your arm around his shoulder so he could comfortably lay against you. Billy saw his brother getting more comfortable and decided he wanted that too, so he laid down on the couch and put his head down on your lap. Your heart warmed at how comfortable the boys were with you and started the movie cuddled up with them.
You were so focussed on the movie that you missed the notifications on your phone, saying that Wanda was done with her meetings and was on her way to your place. She used the emergency key that you gave her, in case Billy and Tommy were still asleep. When she walked into the living room and saw the three of you cuddled up on the couch, all her worries left her body. On the way to your place her mind was racing, what if this was too big of a step too soon? What if the boys weren’t comfortable? What if you didn’t have the things that the boys usually wanted when they were sick? Seeing the three of you just peacefully watching a movie, and the boys were wearing some of your oversized t-shirts, she realized that the boys were comfortable with you and that you were with them as well. She walks up to the couch and kisses each of you on the forehead, as well as asking her kids how they are feeling.
After a shower Wanda joins you in the kitchen, while the boys continue to watch the movie. “Thank you so much for today.” Wanda says as she walks up closer to you and places a kiss on her cheek. “Do you mind if they stay until the movie is done? I’ll take them home after.” - “I don’t mind them staying at all. You can all stay the night, if you want to of course. I know the boys had some good rest in the guest room earlier.” Wanda was okay with that too, she was actually quite happy that she could stay and rest after her long day. You joined the kids back on the couch and finished watching the movie cuddled up together.

His Favorite Person - Melissa Schemmenti/Female Reader
Melissa Schemmenti/Female Reader
Summary: The moms are going through a difficult time with LuLu's first teeth and a hero comes to the rescue.
Classification: Fluff
Warnings: Well, some realistic motherhood, it's not all flowers. Also, FRIENDSHIP GOALS
Word count: +2100

Unrevised
Six months went by in the blink of an eye and with it many challenges of first-time motherhood, the moms could barely breathe properly until the month mark, Luca is very smart and, despite his strong personality, didn't give as much trouble as expected. The redhead is in love with those squeezable cheeks and chubby little doll hands, the loud giggles are the highlight of her days, as well as Y/N's. But the relief and sense of stability has gone as quickly as it arrived, one day the baby is all smiles trying pasta, the next so fussy that getting him to eat becomes a mission impossible. So a week goes by that they would describe as hellish, not only because of the problems with feeding and the understandable irritability due to teething, but also because of the suffering shared with all the pain the boy is going through with the new phase, gums tearing and keeping him awake all night mumbling and feverish, causing general concern. On Friday, they're not sure whether or not to host the weekly couples' dinner; before it can be cancelled, Barb and her husband appear at the door with a pan in hand, worried looks on their faces followed by muffled laughter. At work, Melissa had already been seen with bite marks and obvious signs of not sleeping, the woman just didn't imagine it would be chaotic to the point of leaving her, literally, dishevelled.
"Where's my handsome little boy?" she greets LuLu excitedly and reaches out to take him from the younger's tired arms "What happened to make you cry, my dear?" and wipes the tears drying on his rosy little face, immediately noticing the high temperature "Poor thing..."
"Sorry about our condition, I was going to call you to cancel, but we were trying to get the fever down and completely forgot." the teacher whispers, staring at the scene in amazement, the moment her son clings to the friend he stops crying immediately, doesn't seem to be the same little monster who defeated her in exhaustion minutes before "What a sly one! Do you see that?!" she points out indignantly.
"Well, it's not my fault I'm the favorite." Barbara jokes and walks past them into the house, unsurprised to see a dozen toys scattered around the living room, the kitchen a complete mess, dirty dishes in the sink, open packets and cubes of frozen fruit on the counter, a doctor's recommendation for relief "Kid, was that all you?!"
"He's a Schemmenti." Gerald jokes, following along, leaving the pie on the nearest surface "How many hours did you sleep today?"
"Maybe three... or four." the timetables jumble in Y/N's head, she can't remember what time they went to sleep or how many times she woke up in the middle of the night.
"And it's been the longest night's sleep so far," adds the other, rubbing her eyes.
"You're clearly not well, why don't you try having a decent bath and getting some sleep while we take care of everything?" he offers, starting to gather up teddy bears and small cars on the carpet.
Surprised and grateful, the couple exchange glances at this generous offer; the idea of being able to take a bath for more than five minutes, plus a little rest, is tempting, but they are reluctant to let them deal with it instead.
"Go on, get some rest!" the man insists, shooing them away with a hand wave "We'll take care of everything."
"Are you sure?" Melissa asks with concern, it seems like a lot to do or maybe she's mentally overloaded to the point where doesn't want someone else to do something she considers an exclusive responsibility "I mean..."
"Don't be stubborn." Barb interrupts her and goes into the kitchen, putting Luca in the highchair, he doesn't even grumble about not being on lap "Take advantage of our presence until he gets sick of us, this phase is terrible."
The redhead raises her hands in surrender and Y/N exhales satisfied, tired to the bone, nursing a baby full time takes a lot of time, energy and attention, she can hardly imagine the state of her wife who works all day at school and still tries to give the same support as best she can.
Looking at Luca, who is calmly sitting down and taking the previously rejected piece of fruit into mouth, Melissa finally gives in.
"All right, but please call us if anything happens."
Everything goes very quickly and on autopilot. Before they realise it, the pair find themselves under the shower's hot water, washing each other's hair and sharing non-sexual cuddles, satisfying their longing for quality time together. Motherhood is deep, rewarding and valuable for both, a priority that has guided the small family's decisions and routine, little by little intimacy has been put aside amid the daily demands. They don't blame anyone or anything but the circumstances, they've read that it could happen at a certain point, all the nuances it would bring and they haven't forgotten their promise to stay together, to say "I love you", all the possible clichés to get through the storm without shaking marriage.
The teacher couldn't hold back a moan on entering the room, every muscle relaxed and the tension drained away, there was a calming sensation, she felt refreshed from the tip of the toe to the last strand of hair. Y/N can say the same, she never thought that a simple shower could feel like a full SPA, even with a massage, she barely lays down on the bed properly and already feels soft hands rubbing damp skin. There are soft smiles, some mischievous, strong fingers squeezing sensitive spots that manage to elicit the happiest sighs, occasionally there are teasing touches and loving bites.
"Years of relationship and still doves in love." they are surprised by Barbara's sudden appearance, they didn't hear her push the door slightly open "I've brought dinner and some tea."
She lifts the tray with caprese chicken sandwiches, pieces of pie, red fruit and camomile tea, would offer whisky if it wasn't for breastfeeding, she knows they deserve it when they go through the chaotic teething process, the girls were relatively calm and yet almost destroyed the house when they got their first set of tiny sharp teeth.
"Get fed and try to rest for a few hours." she put it between the couple "Let's do the same with the little one, he's already struggling to keep eyes open. You deserve a decent night's sleep."
"So true, I look like a different person now, imagine when I finally get some sleep." the redhead jokes before taking a generous bite of bread, her last meal having been lunch "Delicious!"
"Did LuLu give you and Gerald much trouble?" the younger smiles fearfully and sips the hot liquid "No crying, no grumbling, no breaking things, maybe we're in a dream."
"No, he was a little angel... except with Gerard when he tried to give him a piece of cut mango, I'm pretty sure he was trying not to bite him." she confesses the last part in a whisper, they laugh well aware of the implication "He's jealousy incarnate."
Melissa tosses her hair to side, her expression proud, needless to say he inherited it from her and everyone knows it.
"Mel once threatened to bite someone." she adds, explaining her friend.
"And I did." she says even more proudly, the person deserved it.
"Unbelievable!"
After all, Y/N still finds herself amazed by her adventures and oddities, she knows half of the stories from others, as the woman hardly ever brags about her achievements. Conversation doesn't last long, minutes later Gerald appears too, Luca agitated in his arms and ready to attack anyone who annoys him, just push at the edge a little. The youngest mother mentions getting up to intervene, only to be stopped by a sign from Barb, who picks him up without a second thought.
"No, you need a bit of time to yourselves." she reinforces and sets the boy on his feet, kissing the cheeks, leaving a lot of lipstick marks "Today we're going to give them a break, aren't we, cutie?!"
As if he knew what the topic was, he tries to answer in babbles, all the adults smile at such cuteness. Within seconds he is no longer irritated, an effect that only the one and only Barbara Howard has. She strokes the coppery hair, making him close the eyes immediately, an adorable giggle as he snuggles into her chest, little legs wiggling with joy.
"I'm starting to be offended by this more than obvious preference."
"I never tire of saying it, it's not my fault that I'm his favorite person." she shrugs and stands up, stroking the baby's back over the newly laid pyjamas, she inhales the sweet smell, delighting at the contact, her daughters are grown up now and the times when she could lovingly hold them all the time without protest are gone "LuLu and I will see you tomorrow."
She bends him over so that the mums can kiss him goodbye, but by this point Luca is already unconscious, losing the long and stubborn battle against sleep.
"Sorry, I'm going to have to say it, I LOVE YOU BARB!" Y/N sighs in pleasure and gives a grateful kiss, then throws herself against the mattress, clinging to the soft blankets "Nothing can convince me that it's not a dream."
"She needed it too, badly." Melissa reflects and moves closer to the friend, stroking her son's face affectionately "I really appreciate and am very grateful for what you're doing for us, being a mother has been intense and unexpected, we're lucky to have a support like you and Gerald, it's something I never expected in my life. The only reason I'm probably not crying right now is because tiredness overcomes even the tears." she jokes, wrapping her in a tight hug between loving smiles.
"There's nothing to be thankful for, I love our little prince and that's what friends do."
The door closes, Howard takes him to the nursery and they wait for a cry or any negative reaction, but the only noises to be heard are footsteps echoing down the corridor and the man humming while doing the housework. They smirk, silence has never been more appreciated than at this moment. The teacher lies down next to her wife, hands running along her robe-covered waist, fingertips brushing exposed skin, mouth meeting the back of neck, leaving a lingering kiss, the younger laughs, turning so that they are face to face, then leans in to bring their lips together.
"I think we should kidnap Barb." Y/N proposes with a grain of truth.
"We need to do that, cara mia! I'll take her down and you tie her up, deal?"
"Deal! But what about Gerald?" she jokes.
"He can survive without her, we can't."
"I can't believe we're going to sleep properly, I'm so excited that sleep has fled." she confesses eventually, feeling a new wave of energy coming from nowhere "It's so strange not having anything to do."
"That's because you're overwhelmed, principessa." Melissa props herself up on elbows so that she's partially seated, the hand that rests on the waist wanders down her curvaceous body and stops at the face she loves so much to see when waking up, tucking a lock of hair behind her ear "But we have this evening to ourselves. God, they're being real heroes today."
"Yes! I swear that when she took LuLu in the arms I saw her in costume and cape for a millisecond."
"And he simply stopped crying, it's like she has superpowers."
"Or she's just his favorite person... in the whole world." Y/N leans over and kisses her, a consolation prize for what she's going to say next "I'm sorry, darling, but that's the truth. You've lost your place to Barb."
"At least I'm still your favorite?" the redhead makes those abandoned puppy dog eyes, feigning sadness.
"Always, hottest biter in the world."
The lights are switched off, they move closer in the soothing darkness and cuddle affectionately, wrapped in the comfort of being in the arms of the one they love. Sleep gradually comes, accompanied by the previous worries about Luca, if he's managed to eat properly, if he's hydrated enough, or if he's lain down in the right position.
"I can hear your thoughts, Mel."
"I'm sorry, amore mio." she whispers, a little thoughtfully. Despite her religious upbringing, she's not a fan of most traditions, so baptism hasn't crossed her mind until now, as she watches her best friend and confidant win over her son with her mere presence, creating a beautiful bond "What do you think about inviting Barb to be LuLu's godmother?"
"Perfect! We couldn't find anyone better than her."

Yo yo yo guess who decided to get into jjba and write for it??
This is my first time writing for jjba so maybe it’s going to be weird ig and I haven’t written in this account for a long long time! So yeah… sorry.
Pair: dio x reader (romantically) and giorno x reader (platonically)
Warnings!: dio in general ig 💀, marriage, having kids not biologically, lightly touched of the mention of wanting to have sex, no nsfw (don’t worry), cursing maybe, ooc?, kids…, fem!reader, modern au, not proofread, prob spelling errors and giornos half siblings do not exist.
How long?: 850 words 😊
You didn’t really know that the man you were going out with named dio had a kid until he brought his child to your second date.
You were quite surprised to see the man that you were going to have a second date brought a kid. He didn’t even say anything about it in the first date and while talking online. You thought it was going to be chaos but it actually wasn’t. The only thing that happened was that the little baby who was a 1 year old made grabbing movements facing you all the times. And also little giggles.
You asked were the mother was if he didn’t mind. He just gave you a little smile and continued eating his plate. Silently. Just who really was this British man you were getting to know? With that question which didn’t really have much of an answer, you didn’t really think much of it.
In the next date he took you to his house that day after dinner. The little 1 year old that was in the last that named giorno wasn’t in this date. You were quite surprised that he didn’t appear. Wait, why were you even surprised in the first place? Anyways…
The man took you to his house which was quite a big house. You expected it a bit by his looks. He looked quite expensive. When you were welcomed in the house you were instantly met by a tiny hug on the leg. Only to be known as giorno. You let out a tiny giggle and picked him up from your leg. You held him on your arm and supported him with the other one. You couldn’t help but smile when his chubby hands touched your face and squished your cheeks.
The little 1 year old was letting out so many giggles as he squished your cheeks. You had a feeling that little giorno was liking you a lot.
“Oh my, I’ve never expected you to bond so much with my little giorno…” he chuckled.
You gasped at the sudden voice and looked instantly behind you. The man you were going on dated with had a smirk on his face while drinking wine. Some expensive wine and for some reason it smelled expensive.
“It’s alright sweetheart. No need to panic I don’t bite.” his smirked turned wider by the last words that came out of his mouths. The only thing you could do is nod slowly, try to ignore the weird fangs that the man you were getting to know had, with now a giorno sucking and slobbering the cheek on your face.
And the rest of the day was wonderful. You just spended the time with dio and giving all your love to giorno. And that’s how it went. Days to days on dates. Weeks to weeks as partners and months to months as almost fully married partners. And then years to years being as husband and wife.
Giorno was currently four years old and he has a bad habit that annoys dio every night. He thought it was cute at first but then it became annoying.
You were Dio’s wife for 3 years currently and that is also concluded to being giornos step mom for 3 years. So of course you have gotten really close to giorno.
Let me explain the little habit…
It was now night and you were already in bed from an exhausting day. You luckily were able to sleep until midnight. Dio wanted to have a nice passionate night with you today but he didn’t want to do it early since you were pretty tired. He stayed awake all of the time while you were sleeping. Waiting until he thought you had enough rest.
Just about it was midnight he was going to wake you up until he heard the bedroom door creak open. He sighed already knowing what it was.
It was giorno. The little 4 year old had a bad habit of coming in at midnight and sleeping in your bedroom with dio. He had a fear of sleeping alone and a fear of the dark. So as comfort he would come sleep in the bedroom where you and your husband slept at.
Giorno, tugged your arm gently. Trying to get you awake the most less annoying way as possible. “Mama, mama, wake up please…” he whined and then kept shaking you until you were awake.
You groaned already knowing what it was. “Yes sweetheart?” You said softly. Not having the motivation and neither the energy to speak in your normal volume.
“Can I sleep with you?” He grinned. And just about when dio was going to tell giorno to go back to his room you cut him off before letting him even speak. He was just left with a mouth open since he was going to mouth his words.
“Sure sweetheart, come to the bed…” you sighed tiredly and dio just grumbled, while giorno was climbing on the bed without hesitation and a big grin on his face.
The four year old said goodnight to both of you and dio just let out another grumble.
Another day being interrupted... again.

Talking with your sister on the phone was always an experience. Half the time you knew exactly what she was going to say, and the other half what she said was so out of pocket and unhinged that she would have gone to prison if she said it to anyone else.
That’s why you’re speaking to her with headphones, alone in your room as you worked on her birthday present.
“Did your dress come in?” you asked.
“Yeah, it did.” She wasn’t loud about it, but you could practically see her beaming face. “I ended up picking the sage one, remember?”
You hummed in response before pricking your finger with the needle you held and wincing. “When did you say you wanted me to come down again? Almost a week before, right?”
“Yes, if you can manage that. Also, mom gave you a plus one so feel free to bring someone. A boyfriend maybe.”
You could hear the teasing in her tone at the connotation that you were in a relationship. You rolled her eyes despite the fact she couldn’t see. “Lina, you’re absolutely insufferable. I haven’t had a boyfriend since I was a junior, and have had zero want for one since. I’m probably bringing Mikasa.”
You heard the exaggerated breath she let out, and lightly chuckled. “Y/n, please. Bring a boyfriend or something. It literally doesn’t matter, just bring a date.”
“Mikasa will be my date.”
“No! Talk to someone else. Leave your house and touch grass. Go to a bar. Get some bitches. You virgin.”
You deadpanned, momentarily putting down what you were doing to take a deep breath. “You know damn well I’m not a virgin.”
“Don’t remind me.” You heard some rustling from her end, and the faint closing of a door. “Also I was in front of mom and grandma. They say hi, by the way. They’re really excited for you to come down.”
You made an O shape with your mouth, continuing to thread the silver strands through the black fabric you held. Your family didn’t mind cursing, they were able to excuse a lot of things, but their one condition was that you remained a virgin until you wed. Obviously a promise you didn’t keep.
“I’m excited to see them again, too.” You were lying through your teeth. You weren’t excited to see them. If you didn’t care so much for your sister you wouldn’t even be going to this party.
You didn’t want to stay on that topic for long, so you deflected anything else Lina said about them and changed the topic. “If you’re such an expert how do you suggest I go out and get bitches, as you so purely said.”
“Literally just go outside!” Lina had raised her voice to make her point, and you could envision her throwing her arms out and flopping on her bed. “You’re so much prettier than you think. I swear to god, guys just have to look at you and they fall in love.”
You laughed, putting the blanket you were working on to the side and standing from the floor. You stretched before bending down to grab your phone and walking downstairs to grab a snack of some sort.
“That was in high school. I’ve aged. I’m an old woman now,” you joked. You didn’t pay attention to who was downstairs, but you knew it was someone because something was playing on the TV.
As you opened the fridge, Lina said, “You’ve aged four years, pendeja. You’re still pretty. Just go outside and find some guy to ask. Or ask someone you have a class with even!”
“Lina, I’m not bringing a date to your Quinceañera. Besides, it’s your day and I don’t want the attention on me because I’m, supposedly, dating someone. If anything I’m bringing Mikasa.”
You saw whoever was on the couch move from the corner of your eye as you closed the fridge and cracked open a soda can.
You took a sip, listening to Lina rant about something with her boyfriend.
Suddenly you were hugged from behind and your headphones were removed from your head, making your eyes widen. You squirmed around, attempting to escape the persons grasp and reclaim your headphones.
“Hi, Rosalina!”
Mikasa. Of course. She’s the one that held you in her grip and was now talking to your sister.
You couldn’t hear what Lina said, but you sure as hell heard Mikasa’s response. “Of course she’s bringing a date!” When you stopped thrashing and turned your head to give her a look, she winked and let you go, slipping your phone from your hand and walking away.
Your headphones were disconnected from your phone, and Mikasa put your sister on speaker before continuing.
“Yeah, he’s a great guy. They have a project together and this would be a wonderful learning experience.” She chuckled when Armin, who you had just noticed was sitting on the couch, turned his head to give her a raised eyebrow in question.
“Really?” Lina was ecstatic, you could tell. You heard a door open and some more rustling. You heard her quietly say something to someone else, and it wasn’t long before she put her phone on speaker as well.
“Aye, our little chulita finally got a boyfriend.”
Oh my god.
“Mamí, I don’t have a boyfriend,” you said. “He’s just a friend. Besides, I doubt he even wants to go—“
“Armin.” Mikasa cut you off, addressing the blond sitting on the couch. “Would you like to go to Rosalina’s quinceañera?”
Armin shrugged, not knowing how to respond to the question since he wasn’t aware of the whole situation.
“That’s not a no.” Mikasa turned back you. “He’s going.”
“Dear lord.” You leaned on the counter, hiding your face in your hands. “I hate every single one of you.”
Mikasa blew you a joking kiss. “They will both be there unless something else comes up.”
Your grandmother said something in Spanish that you didn’t catch, but Mikasa partially understood it.
“Yes, but I promise he’s a good person,” she said. You assumed your grandmother asked something about your guest being gringo, something she held a minor vendetta against. It wasn’t anything big, but your grandmother was always more cautious around white people.
“Abuela, no te preocupes. We’ll see if he even wants to go because he didn’t even say.” You eyed Mikasa, giving her an exaggerated look of exhaustion. You held your hand out for your phone.
“I’ll text you later, Lina. I’m giving you back to Y/n, now. Bye!” She turned off the speaker option and handed you your phone, smiling as she gave you a wink.
“I fucking hate you,” you muttered as you took your phone back, rolling your eyes. You held it up to your ear, beginning to walk back to the stairs.
“I love you, my love!” Mikasa proclaimed in a tone of voice obviously meant to be partially joking.
You held up your middle finger to her as you ascended the stairs, nodding a silent greeting to Eren as you passed him.
When you entered your room you closed your door and sat back on the floor, leaning back to lay down and stare at the ceiling as you talked with your sister.
“So what’s he like?” she asked. You imagined her twirling her hair, treating this conversation like a piece of gossip shared at a sleepover.
“Is he nice, mija?” you heard your mother ask.
You let out a tired breath, bringing your free hand to your face to rub your forehead. “Mamá, Lina, we’re not dating. We’re just friends. If he ends up coming, which is doubtful, it won’t be because I’m romantically interested in him or vice versa.”
Hearing yourself say that seemed to lift a weight off your shoulders. Hearing yourself actually acknowledge that you didn’t have any feelings for him would be your saving grace in the future.
“Did anyone ask if you we’re dating? No, we asked if he was nice,” Lina said. “Answer the question.”
You rolled your eyes. “I’m gonna FaceTime y’all and then tell you.”
“Okay.”
Before you could even pull your phone away from your ear you heard the tone of another call. You looked and saw that your sister was quicker than you, and you accepted the call. You sat up and propped your phone on the leg of your bed frame, sitting criss-cross with the blanket in hand, trying your best to hide it from the camera.
“Okay, now tell us what he’s like. Grandma and Mom are waiting.” Lina’s phone was propped on the arm of the couch, likely precariously balancing on something so it didn’t fall. Lina was laying down with her mom, allowing her to mess with the tips of her hair, and your grandmother was sitting in the blue rocking chair placed to the side of the couch.
You gently laughed. “Okay, okay. Y’all are treating this like some sort of gossip session.” You readjusted the blanket in your hands, continuing to embroider it with the silver thread. “Anyways, yeah, he’s really nice. He’s my partner for a year long project we have in our culture class.”
“What’s the project?” Lina’s mom asked.
“Just learn about each other, basically. We need to learn about each other’s cultures and traditions, like what we did growing up and stuff like that,” you explained.
“That sounds like a perfect set up for people to fall in love,” Lina said. She put her hands up when you gave her a look.
“That’s not going to happen.”
“Don’t you live with him?” Lina asked. Then she gasped in an overdramatic manner. “Oh my god, it’s a roommates trope!”
You burst out laughing, moving your hand to your face as you set the blanket down for a moment. “What? No, I live with like two other people besides him. The roommate trope only counts if it’s just two people.”
Lina hummed. “No it doesn’t. It counts when love interests are roommates, and in this case love interests are roommates.”
“Lina, we’re not interested in each other like that,” you said sternly. “Stop asking.”
“Fine. I guess I’ll stop. Anyways, is he actually gonna come?”
You shrugged. “Who knows. I’ll ask him again later and explain what a quinceañera is. If he does he’ll likely only come to learn more about the traditions of a quinceañera and stuff since I suck at explaining it.”
“Right, because you only answer what you’re asked and don’t elaborate,” Lina’s mom said, slowly nodding her head.
“Exactly.” You looked at the clock you had set up on your nightstand, noticing that your next class was close to starting. “Okay, I have to go. My next class starts soon.”
You saw Lina’s eyes sadden before she nodded, reaching forward to grab her phone. She held it up to fit all three women in the camera.
“Okay, bye,” Lina said, waving with her mom.
“Adios, Chabelita,” your grandmother said.
You smiled. “Adios. Te quiero mucho.”
All three family members reciprocated the words, and you hung up feeling much lighter. Talking to certain family members always had that effect, specifically your sister and her mom. They were always the calmest and most accepting when it came to certain things, and you appreciated that.
You quickly laid the blanket out, standing up to inspect your work before abandoning it on the floor and changing your shirt for your next class. You slipped on your tennis shoes, putting your phone in a small bag before walking out of your room.
You grabbed your keys from the dish on the coffee table in the living room, bidding Mikasa and Eren goodbye before leaving.
Armin was no where in sight, and you assumed he had left for something or was otherwise upstairs in his room, not wanting to be bothered.
What you didn’t know was that the had heard your entire conversation. He wasn’t trying to (though he did pause what he was doing to listen when you specifically talked), but he could hear your voice through the bathroom clear as day, almost like you were right next to him. It’s not like it was your fault, but sometimes the house was extra echoey, especially in the bedrooms and bathrooms.
Armin’s heart broke just the tiniest bit when you mentioned that you didn’t like him like that, but he reminded himself that he barely even knew you.
It was still a thought that was present in the back of his mind as he began working on a research project for his Biology course.
You were surprisingly early to your Costume Design class. Only a few people were in the studio, and those students had already began working.
You strolled to your station, placing your bag down and grabbing your phone and headphones to listen to music as you worked.
Soon enough, more and more students began filing in. When nearly every station was occupied, the instructor began explaining that students from the acting course would be coming in soon to get measured for their costumes.
You already had a pretty good base for the person you were assigned—a rather tall man named Jean (when you received the paper with his measurements you briefly wondered if this was the person Armin had mentioned when you first met, deciding that it wasn’t with no further thought). You had most of the tunic and overcoat ready for him, holding off on making the pants because they were made of a thick material and you didn’t want to mess them up.
You weren’t paying attention when he had entered the room and stood next to you, too involved in humming to the music playing in your ears and making sure some of the embroidery on the cape looked perfect. You only noticed him when he put his hand on the table, just barely in your line of sight.
You quickly removed your headphones and paused your music, apologizing for not noticing him.
“No, it’s fine. You were working and looked focused, I didn’t want to bother you,” he responded, giving you a smile that showcased his straight, white teeth.
“No, feel free to bother me. I don’t mind. Uhm, anyways, I’m Y/n.” You stuck out your hand, shaking it when he grabbed it. “I’m your costume designer for the rest of the year, I believe.”
He nodded. “Jean Kirstein,” he said.
The awkwardness was obvious between the two of you as a moment of silence passed. Your mind blanked, and you forgot what exactly it was that you were doing.
Jean clapped his hands together, adverting his gaze from you and looking at the table and mannequin you had in front of you. “So, anything for me to try on?”
Realization dawned on you as you remembered what it was you were supposed to be doing. “Yes, actually. Uh, are you comfortable removing clothing so I can properly measure you?” you carefully asked.
This is what you were worried about when you were assigned someone of the opposite sex earlier in the week. You didn’t want to make anyone uncomfortable or accidentally make any moves you would regret.
Jean nodded. “Yeah, of course. Whatever you need.”
“Okay, can you take off your shirt for me?” You looked away as you asked, turning towards the mannequin behind you to retrieve the white balloon-sleeved shirt you had made. “And your pants, too, if you don’t mind…”
You were in awe when you turned around, and had to remind yourself that his eyes were on his face.
He was sculpted and built like a Greek god, and you let the quick thought of Holy shit cross your mind before you looked back up at his face.
He nodded again as you placed the shirt you held on your chair, reaching down to begin undoing his belt.
You turned away again. Despite the many other people in the room, this moment felt weirdly intimate to you. Dressing those in the acting course was something mostly reserved for the juniors and seniors in college, so you had never really had reason to ask someone to undress for you unless it was in a heated moment. It took you back, and you had to shake the thought from your head as you took the pants off the mannequin.
“Okay, these aren’t the actual pants since I’m going to be making them of something harder to work with, but this is just an outline I have put together so it might not go on the greatest…”
You had turned back to him, holding the fabric in your hands as you showed him and tried your hardest not to let your gaze wander from his face. He nodded as you spoke, storing away the information you said for later.
“Okay, what first, then?”
“The shirt, please,” you said, gently putting the pants to the side and grabbing the shirt. You unbuttoned the first few buttons, opening it up and facing him. “Can you turn around for me?”
He nodded, turning and putting his arms into the sleeves when he felt the thin fabric on his hands. You fitted it on his shoulders, asking him to turn around and button it as you grabbed a scrap piece of paper and wrote his name on it.
When you returned your attention back to him, he was adjusting the sleeves, making sure they sat on his arms correctly.
You gave him a quick once over, noting on your paper what immediate problems you saw.
“Okay, now the pants,” you said. “They’re going to be a but big, but that’s just so I can more accurately pin where they’re supposed to fit on your body.”
You didn’t say that you wanted him to put them on himself, but he got the memo and slipped into them.
“Alright, any immediate problems you notice with the shirt? Is it uncomfortable anywhere?” you asked, opening the desk drawer and grabbing a tape measure and your small box of pins.
“It’s a bit weird at the shoulders,” he said. “Too tight, maybe?”
You nodded, quickly jotting that down before going to remeasure. You needed to stand on a stool to be able to properly reach his shoulders he was so tall, and you stopped berating when you got close to him and started feeling him up.
You mumbled to yourself as you worked, noting whatever needed to be tailored and refitted.
“What part are you playing? What are you guys even doing?” you asked. You figured that if you knew what exactly he was doing, you would be able to implement that character into the costume more.
“An amateur reproduction of The Phantom of the Opera,” he replied. “I’m Raoul.”
“Really?” You pulled back, giving your work a once over. “Okay, I’ll add more details to make it seem more rich boy later. Maybe I’ll add some gold threading…”
He hummed, letting your hands trail along his arms and torso as you measured. You noted that the sleeves needed to be less poofy, and that the neckline needed to be a bit lower. You grabbed a marker and marked where you thought would be a good neckline, and pinned smaller sleeves before moving onto the pants.
“This is Raoul’s masquerade costume, right?” you asked.
Jean nodded. “For the most part. The shirt, I think, is going to be used throughout the whole thing. But the pants and overcoat you have are for the masquerade scene.”
“Are you guys going movie or broadway accurate?”
“We’re adding details from both. The ones who thought of this idea wanted to find a happy medium for broadway and movie,” he explained.
You nodded, glancing at the overcoat you had. “Okay, I’ll figure something out for that.” You thought for a moment, looking him over again. “I’m going to resize the pants now. Are you comfortable with me…” You trailed off and made a motion with your hands, hoping that would convey what you meant.
He nodded. “Yeah, yeah go ahead. I’m fine with that.”
You started working, kneeling in front of him to tailor the base work you had done for his pants. You barely breathed as you worked, but it seemed he could tell you were nervous because he started conversation, asking about why you decided to choose costume design.
As the two of you continued talking, you became more comfortable with what you were doing. You knew this would be part of the job—poking at people and feeling them up to make sure their clothing fit—but you were hoping you could hold that off for longer.
After you had finished and gone over your ideas for the costume with him, you established that he would come to your place once a week, where you would measure him and go over more small details with him.
“Can I have your number?” you asked. “So it’s easier for us to talk.”
He nodded as you pulled out your phone, and he opened a new contact for him. “Yeah, I was just about to ask the same thing.”
His phone chimed a moment later, most likely the message he had sent to himself.
“And uh,” he paused, handing your phone back to him, “could I take you on a date? You’re really pretty, and seem like an interesting person. I’d like to get to know you.”
He was smiling. Your eyes widened at his question, not knowing how to respond. “Uhm, I’ll… I’ll get back to you on that. I need to make sure I have time for a date,” you lied. You knew you had all the time in the world to go on a date with anyone you wanted. “Send me a reminder text later, yeah?”
He nodded, his eyes sparkling as he stood straight. “Yeah. Alright then. I’ll see you again sometime.”
You nodded, looking down at your station to begin cleaning up and putting some things away.
The two of you exchanged goodbyes after he helped you bring some things to your car to take home. When his hand accidentally touched yours, he lingered for a moment before pulling away.
You waited a moment in your car to calm your breathing before you started driving.
That question was the only thing on your mind on the drive home, and you planned to tell Mikasa as soon as possible. When you got home, however, you noticed that there was only one car in the driveway, and that it was the one Mikasa refused to drive because she didn’t want to mess up its older design.
Since her car was gone, you assumed both she and Eren were out seeing as they had more or less the exact same classes. With the car Armin drove, you assumed he was in the house.
You unlocked your door and immediately went to your room, flopping facedown on your bed.
You wanted to scream.

Newark Liberty Airport was the last place Elena ever wanted to be, especially at the crack of dawn on Christmas morning. Yet, there she was, at security, hugging Alyssa. “Have fun, peanut. And don’t give your grandparents a hard time.”
“Make them sorry they invited me? Gotcha.”
“Lyssa.”
“Mom.”
“Lyssa.”
“Mom.” Alyssa pulled back and smiled. “You know I’ll make them want to keep me.”
She wasn't wrong. As the only grandchild, Alyssa was spoiled and adored by all four of her grandparents, which helped to make up for Dan’s shortcomings as a father. Still, Elena hugged her once more. “I love you, Peanut. Merry Christmas and I’ll see you next Saturday.”
“I love you, too, Mom. And enjoy being childfree for a week. Hopefully you and Dr. Hottie will be able to actually go out now.”
“Don’t you worry about that.” She hadn’t told Alyssa about Frerin’s invitation to dinner, just in case she was stood up again. A foolish reason, but a reason just the same. “Have fun.”
“I will, Mom.” Alyssa slung her backpack over her shoulder and moved to get into the TSA security line. She looked back just before she stepped through the X-ray machine and gave Elena a thumbs up, put her shoes back on, and disappeared around the corner.
With a soft sigh, Elena made her way back out to where she’d parked her car and as she sat, waiting for it to warm up, her phone rang. Frerin.
“Hello?”
“Merry Christmas.”
She smiled at the warmth in his voice. “Merry Christmas to you, too. You’re up awfully early for someone with no kids to wake you this morning.”
“Nah, my ex isn’t coming until about ten, or ten-thirty if she stays true to form, so Jake got us all up about an hour ago.”
“Six thirty. I feel your pain. I’m still at Newark and looking at almost an hour drive back and I’ve been up since three.”
“If you want to reschedule—”
“No,” she broke in quickly, shaking her head although he couldn't see it. “No, it’ll be fine. But, I will need your address.”
He chuckled. “Yeah, that would help, wouldn’t it? I’m at twelve-twenty-seven Longhill Road. It’s a dark gray Colonial with yellow trim in a cul-de-sac.”
“Sixish?”
“Yeah, I’ll be back from Thorin’s by then.” He paused then said, “So, your daughter got off all right?”
“She just cleared security a few minutes ago, so she’s on her own now and I won’t rest easy until she calls me when she’s on the ground in Florida.”
“I know you don't want to hear this, but she will be fine. Just like I told you when I saw her in the ER.”
“I know, but still.”
“Yeah, I get it. Okay, I’ll let you get on the road and I have to feed this crew before Toni shows up, so I will see you tonight.”
“Yes, you will. What can I bring?”
“Just yourself. I’ve got it all covered.”
“Frerin.”
“I do. Trust me.”
She sighed softly. “What were you planning to make?”
“I have a recipe for a garlic-studded beef roast so I hope you don't mind a little garlic.”
“I don’t. Are you sure I can’t bring anything?”
“Elena, if you ask me that one more time, I’m going to make you cook dinner.”
“Okay, okay. I won’t ask.”
“Good. I’ll see you later.”
“Yes, you will.”
“Dad,” Jake came into the kitchen, “Mom’s here.”
“Did she bring the Skeeze with her?” Maura asked, looking up from her phone as she sat at the kitchen table.
“I don't know.” Jake shrugged. “I didn’t look.”
“Well, is it her car or his?”
“It’s the Tesla.” Flynn appeared in the doorway, still in his flannel NY Giants pants and the wrinkled Ozzy Osbourne t shirt he usually slept in.
Maura looked up and at the same time, she and Flynn said, “The Skeeze.”
“Okay, guys.” Frerin bit back a smile. “It’s Christmas. Try to get along with the Skeeze, okay? Just for one day.”
“Why do you call him the Skeeze?” Jake looked from his brother to his sister. “Is it because he’s creepy?”
“Why do you think?” Maura pushed away from the table. “Dad, do we have to go?”
“Yes, you do.” Frerin leaned back against the counter, arms folded. “Look, we’ve had this discussion more than once, Maur. You have to go because the court said so. I’m not going to go against a court orderand run the risk of that being used to take you and your brothers away from me.”
“Wait,” Jake looked up at him, eyes wide, “can Mom do that?”
Frerin sighed softly. “Maur, Flynn, go get ready, okay?”
They grumbled, but did as he asked and when he and Jake were alone, he moved to scoop him up. Jake was small for his age and at almost eleven, was often mistaken for being about five or six. “Listen to me, Jake, okay? You know your mom and I both want you to live with us, right?”
“I want to stay here, Dad. Can she make me leave?”
“She can’t, no,” he replied slowly, shaking his head. “But, if a judge thinks you and your brother and sister would be better off with her, he or she can order that your mom gets custody of you.”
Jake’s eyes went wider still and Frerin gave him a gentle squeeze. “If that happened, I’d still see you, buddy. Every other weekend, like you do with mom now.”
“But I don't want to live with her and Tim.”
“I know, but if a judge says that’s best, then we have to do it. But,” he gave Jake another squeeze, “it’s not a given, either, so try not to worry about it, little man. You concentrate on school and leave the other worrying to me, okay?”
Jake didn't look a hundred percent convinced, but he nodded and then tightened his arms about Frerin’s neck. “I want to stay with you, Dad. I don't want to live with Mom.”
“I know, buddy. And my lawyer is going to make sure the judge talks to you and Maura and Flynn as well, so you’ll be able to make that known.” He pressed a kiss into Jake’s rusty curls. “Now, you go and have a good Christmas with your mom, okay?”
“I’ll try.”
The doorbell rang and so Frerin gave him a last squeeze and set him down. “Go get your stuff.”
“Okay.”
They left the kitchen, with Jake going upstairs while Frerin padded to the front door and opened it. “Hi, Toni.”
“Merry Christmas, Frerin.”
“Merry Christmas. I see Tim still refuses to get out of the car?” He leaned around her to wave at Tim, who sat stoically behind the steering wheel, raising his hand in a half-hearted wave.
“Do you have to start already?”
“You’re right.” He stepped back. “It’s Christmas. Come on in.”
She stamped the snow from her boots and stepped into the foyer. “So, how was your Christmas morning?”
“It was fine, Toni. Kids gave me a tool set, and a couple of ties. You?”
“It was nice. Tim made breakfast and gave me a diamond bracelet.”
As she spoke, she held out her arm and tugged up her sleeve and the light bouncing off the stones in her new bracelet were enough to blind him. Still, he managed to smile. “He knows you pretty well.”
Toni let her sleeve fall back. “He took the time to find out.”
“Toni,” he folded his arms and offered up a long look, “you practically drool over Zales commercials. It’s not hard to guess you like sparkly things.”
“You just—” She stopped as Jake came down the stairs. “Merry Christmas, baby!”
“Merry Christmas, Mom.” Jake came over, looking less than enthused as he shrugged into his backpack. “Maur and Flynn will be down in a minute.”
“Good. Why don't you go wait out in the car? I’ll be out in just a minute.”
Jake wrinkled his nose. “With Tim?”
“What’s wrong with Tim?”
“Nothing, except he calls me Champ and Sport and I hate that. Even Dad doesn’t call me that and he’s lame as they come.”
“Thanks, Sport.” Frerin managed to hold back his smile as Jake glared at him. “I’ll see you the day after tomorrow, okay, Champ?”
“Dad.” Jake ducked as Frerin made to rumple his hair and clumped his way out the front door as Maura and Flynn came down the stairs together.
“Merry Christmas!” Toni greeted them with a wide smile.
“Merry Christmas, Mom,” Maura said, giving her a brief hug.
Flynn gave her a one-armed bro hug. “Merry Christmas. Hey, can I drive to your place?”
“Uh, you don’t have a license yet,” Toni said.
He shot her a look. “I got my permit two weeks ago, remember?”
“You’ll have to ask Tim.”
Flynn sighed. “Yeah, like he’d let me touch his precious Tesla. That’s a big, fat no.”
“He might surprise you.”
“Yeah, right.” Flynn threw this over his shoulder as he tugged open the front door. “I’ll see you day after tomorrow, Dad.”
“Yes, you will.”
Maura gave him a quick hug. “Love you, Daddy.”
Frerin pressed a kiss into the side of her head. “Love you, too, Munchkin.”
“Dad.”
“What?” He stepped back. “You are.”
“I haven’t been since I was Jake’s age.”
“Oh, like that was so long ago. As if.” He rolled his eyes the way he’d seen her do it a million times before.
She wrinkled her nose at him. “Jake’s right. You are lame, Dad.”
“Yeah, I know. I know. Go. Enjoy your Christmas.”
“You coming, Mom?”
Toni looked over her shoulder at Maura. “I’ll be right there. I need to speak with your father about something.”
Maura shrugged. “Okay. Bye, Dad.”
“Bye, honey.”
The front door banged shut and he let his smile drop. “What is it this time?”
“I’d like to keep the kids through New Year’s. Tim wants to take us all up to Stowe to go skiing.”
“Have you asked them?”
“No. I wanted to run it by you first. Besides, this way, you get some time to yourself.”
“Whoa… since when do you care if I get a day off?”
“There’s no need to be an ass about it, Frerin. I thought they could use the change of scenery and you might like some free time.”
He sighed softly. She seemed sincere enough and in all honesty, a few free days would be welcomed. “Ask them. If they want to go, I don't have a problem with it.”
“Good. I was hoping you wouldn’t. Flynn said you have had a chance to ski at all yet.”
“Well, ski season’s only a month old, but no, we haven’t gone yet.”
She leaned back to peer through the window. “I should go. I’ll let you know what we’re doing in a day or two, okay?”
“Yeah. I’m off until Saturday night and on nights until the first.”
“You should get some rest, Frerin. You look exhausted.”
“I’m fine, but thanks.”
She moved to grip the door handle. “Merry Christmas.”
“Merry Christmas, Toni.”
The door closed behind her and he moved to the window to watch Tim roll back out of the driveway. Then they were gone and he had the house to himself. As was the case every time the kids went to their mother’s, the silence was almost deafening, pressing in on him from all corners.
He rubbed his hand along his beard, debating about whether or not to shave it off, decided against it, and then went upstairs to the master bedroom, where he stripped off his grey sweatpants and black tee shirt, tossed both into the hamper, and padded into the bathroom to get the shower going.
****
At ten to six, Elena pulled into the wide driveway of a dark gray Colonial with yellow trim and parked behind Frerin’s silver Infiniti. The bushes out front were aglow with multicolor strings of Christmas lights, and a large wreath dotted with small ornaments, holly leaves and berries, and a red velvet bow adorned the pale yellow front door.
Her heart beat faster as she reached for the paper bag on the passenger seat before climbing out of her car. Snow began falling about a half an hour earlier and the house itself looked like it belonged on a Christmas card. Every house in his neighborhood did as well and it was easy to see it was an upscale area. BMWs, Teslas (was she one of the only people who didn't give a damn about putting more money in Elon Musk’s pockets?) Lexuses, and Infinitis sat covered in a fine dusting of white powder and each house was like the one before her—more than she could ever hope to afford on a teacher’s salary.
She climbed up the front steps and pushed the buzzer, her heart hammering even harder against her ribs now as footsteps sounded just beyond the door. Then it swung open and Frerin smiled down at her, handsome as ever in jeans and black, long-sleeved t-shirt. “Merry Christmas, Elena,” he said as he opened the storm door and held it open for her. “Come in out of the cold.”
“Merry Christmas,” she replied, brushing by him to step into the foyer, where she tried not to stare. It wasn’t easy, as it was one of the biggest houses she’d ever been in. Across from the front door was a gracefully curved staircase, decorated with a lush green garland, and dotted with red velvet bows. To her left was a formal dining room, with what looked like an antique cherrywood table, chairs, and breakfront. China and crystal sat tucked behind the breakfront’s glass doors, and the table itself bore a festive red and green runner, and a wooden bowl filled with pine cones that were scented cinnamon, judging by the hint of cinnamon that hung in the air.
The formal living room was to her right, with elegant-looking sofas of blue and white chintz, the coffee and end tables also cherrywood, with delicate curved legs. It as dark, but she saw a crystal bowl in the middle of the coffee table, also piled with pine cones.
The kitchen was straight head and slightly to the left and it appeared to be far warmer than than the living or dining rooms, spacious, with sage green walls, the furniture all maple and sturdy, with French doors behind the table and chairs that she assumed led to a deck of some sort.
He closed the door. “Did you have any trouble finding me?”
“Not at all. My GPS is usually spot on. It’s a beautiful neighborhood.”
“It has its selling points. My neighbors are okay. Enough kids here to keep mine busy in the summer, but they tend to hang out here more than I’d like them to.” He shrugged. “I’ve thought about selling, but I don't want to uproot my kids if I don't have to just yet. Here, let me take your coat.”
He caught her wool coat by the lapels and as the backs of his thumbs brushed her, he leaned in and caught her lips in a soft kiss. Her coat slid over her shoulders, spilled to the floor with a muffled thump of heavy wool. She melted against him, the wine bottle thunking softly against her thigh. His lips moved gently against hers, parting, his tongue easing between her lips to caress hers as he slid an arm about her waist and drew her closer.
She draped her free arm about his neck, threading her fingers up into the soft hair curling at the nape of his neck. He reached to take the bag from her, then reached back to set it on the table across from the front door, and brought that arm about her as well, sliding that hand down over her ass, cupping her cheek to pull her harder into him. Their bodies met, her breath hitching at the sudden, almost intimate contact, and when he gave a gentle thrust against her, a shiver rippled through her.
His arms tightened about her, his kiss deepening further until her head spun from the fire, from the passion, that steadily grew hotter with each passing second. It swirled through her, sinful and sweet and in its wake, an ache unlike anything she’d ever felt took root. Her back bowed of its own, the firm pressure of his chest against her breasts a sweet caress that sent even more heat spiraling through her.
Frerin lifted her easily and without thinking, she wrapped her legs about his waist, catching his sigh as he arched against her, tugging her tighter against him at the same time. Heat became fire, ribboning through her. She rocked against him, the sensual friction bringing a soft moan to her lips and a damp heat between her thighs. Her head spun wildly, her blood smoking through her veins, her heart racing with desire, with need.
He lowered her slowly, and smiled as he drew back, his, “I should get your coat off the floor and hang it up,” on the breathless side before he crouched to snag it up from the floor.
Elena tried to catch her breath, to calm her racing heart, and to will away the butterflies that battered her insides as he moved to the hall closet and pulled open the door. Her entire body tingled with desire, hummed with need, and part of her just wanted to jump on him right then and there.
He hung up the coat and turned back, tugging up his left shirtsleeve as he said, “Come in and let me get you a glass of something.”
“I brought wine.” She stretched to grab the bag on the table and slid the bottle of Pinot Noir from it.
“Sounds good.” He took the bottle in one hand and caught hers in his free one. “I’ll give you the grand tour while it breathes a little.”
“Lead on.”
His fingers tightened about hers and he gave a gentle tug on her arm to draw her alongside him, leading her into the kitchen, where he slid his hand free and set the bottle on the granite island in the center of the room. “This, as you can probably see, is the kitchen.”
She smiled. “The oven sort of gave it away.”
“Yeah, it does that.” He moved to a drawer and tugged it open, then reached in and pulled out a Rabbit corkscrew. “I think we spend the bulk of our time here.”
“It’s gorgeous. I miss having a big kitchen.” She looked around at all of the space on the shiny black granite countertops, the double oven, the Viking built-in refrigerator. The cabinets were maple, with glass inserts in the doors, and along the top of them, stood three plates, each with a child’s crayon drawing and their name above it. Flynn. Maura. Jake.
He popped the cork free and stretched to drop it into a wire bottle that was already filled two-thirds of the way with other corks, then crossed to the cabinet at the far end, near the wall-mounted landline, and took out two balloon glasses to set on the counter alongside the now-open wine bottle.
She moved to the far doorway, where one step down led her into the family room. It was spacious, with a towering cathedral ceiling, but cozy at the same time. A ginormous flat-screen television had been mounted on the front wall, between the floor-to-ceiling windows, and across from it a comfortable-looking sectional sofa of dark brown microsuede. An enormous Douglas fir Christmas tree stood in the front corner, softly aglow with multicolored lights, and a fire crackled on the hearth in the stone fireplace on the far side of the room.
“This is beautiful,” she murmured as she stepped down into the room alongside a wet bar with pub mirrors mounted on the wall behind the bar and alongside it. “Where did you find these?”
“My brother owns a bar, and every few years he renovates. Last go-round, I claimed a few.” He came up behind her, then slid back behind the bar. “What can I get you? It’s fully stocked.”
“I’m good, thanks.”
“You sure?”
“I am, thank you.” She smiled as she moved closer to the fireplace, where, on the mantle, were numerous photographs, all in silver frames. His kids, no doubt. Flynn and Maura were dead ringers for him, each one with dark hair and brilliant blue eyes. “Where does your youngest get his red hair from?”
“Toni’s side. She’s a redhead, and so are her mother and younger brother. Jake looks just like her when she was the same age.”
Her gaze fell on a photo of Frerin with a newborn in a hospital room. His hair was a lighter, almost honey-gold, and longer than it was now. He smiled up at the camera, looking every bit like a proud new father, with just a tiny bit of fear in his pale blue eyes. He looked so young, he had to be holding Flynn. “Is this your oldest?”
“Yeah.” He reached over to take the frame. “I was barely twenty years old when he was born. Just a kid, myself, really.”
“I’m still amazed you managed medical school with a baby.”
“Toni stayed home and took care of the kids, which made it easier for me. Her family has money, so they helped us out while I was still in medical school and  covered what my resident’s salary didn’t.”
“All three of them are gorgeous, you know.” She looked up at him. “And Alyssa’s told me Maura’s very popular.”
“Yeah, come summer, I’m up to my eyes in teenagers. It’s noisy.” He set the photo down and her eyes were drawn to the one behind it. Again, a younger Frerin with Thorin, the two of them trying their best to look intimidating, dressed in jeans and Metallica tee shirts, at the old Giants Stadium at the Meadowlands. Thorin was much darker in coloring than Frerin, his hair nearly black compared to Frerin’s, which was more of a golden brown when he was younger. But they had the same eyes—pale blue with hints of gray swirled through.
“How old are you here?”
He took the frame from her and let out a soft chuckle. “Seventeen, maybe? We went to see Metallica and Limp Bizkit, if you can believe it.”
“Metallica, I can believe.” She offered up a look. “But Limp Bizkit?”
“Yeah, they sucked, but Metallica didn't and they were why we were there.”
“I can see that,” she said with a smile, taking in the long hair and beards both Frerin and his brother sported in the picture. “Do you ever go clean shaven?”
“Yeah, usually come springtime I shave it off.” He rubbed along his jaw with one hand. “And then when the weather gets cool, I grow it back. It usually takes my kids a few days to figure out what’s different about dad.”
She gazed up at him. “I can’t picture you without the beard, but I imagine you turn a lot of heads, Dr. Durin.”
“Yeah, I don't know about that.” He set the photograph back and turned toward her. His eyes glittered in the glow of the fire. “I’m glad you’re here, you know. I’ve been looking forward to this.”
“Me, too. I was almost afraid you were going to have to work again,” she admitted softly, her heart speeding up as he curved his hands against her cheeks.
“Nope. Dr. Durin is off duty until Saturday night.” His thumbs skimmed lightly along her cheekbones, his eyes held hers. And when he bent toward her once more, and their lips met, she let her hands come to rest on his hips.
His lips moved teasingly against hers, and when she lightly traced along the perimeter of his lips, his breath hitched, which made her smile, and he responded by tangling his tongue with hers and drawing hers back into the welcoming heat of his mouth.
Knots began twisting her insides, her arousal swift and sharp. Heat swirled through her, wove into those knots, tightened them further. The dull ache swept along the same path, urging her to press against him, to savor the solid feel of his body against hers.
His hands slid down from her face, along her neck. Down her arms. His thumbs danced along along the outer curves of her breasts, where he paused and slid them across, to where her nipples beaded through her satin bra cups.
She sucked in a sharp breath as he slid his thumbs over those taut beads and lighting flashes through her. With each lazy pass, the heat between her thighs worsened, bringing forth the silken dampness that tingled its way along her aching, aroused flesh.
He caught the bottom of her sweater and slipped both hands beneath it and she held her breath as he grazed along her ribs and up to cup both breasts, where he gently kneaded them through the satin.
Her head spun with the pleasure he sent rocketing through her, sweet and teasing as it swept along those knots that now dropped lower. She gripped the bottom of his tee shirt, tugged it up just enough to slip her hands beneath it and when she touched bare male skin, he exhaled hard into her mouth, his fingers tensing about her breasts, his thumbs teasing her bare nipples to the point where they were pebbled, all-too-sensitive peaks.
Frerin slid his hands back down, caught the bottom of her sweater once more, and drew it up. She broke their kiss long enough to let him sweep it over her head, and then tugged him down to meet her lips once more. A moment later and her bra strap gave and he tugged the shoulder straps down off her shoulders, smiling as her bra hit the floor.
He cupped both breasts once more, teasing them with those playful thumbs, plucking at her nipples, rolling them, capturing each one of her moans, her sighs, as he did. Her entire body hummed with the need to have him, her hands moving of their own accord to first his belt, then the button on his Levi’s. The buckle rattled as she unbuckled it. The fly gave. She slid one hand in.
Frerin sucked in a sharp breath as she traced only her fingertips along the hot, sleek length of his cock. He rocked against her, a soft moan at his lips as she swept those fingertips down along his shaft, underneath it. She teased him with light strokes, around him, along him, into the soft, sensitive flesh just under the wide head. And with each pass, he rocked to meet her, tangled his tongue with hers, squeezed her breast tighter still.
She slid her forefinger through the bubble of fluid at his opening, let it coat her palm to make her next pass even more silken. He was thick and proud, and as she wrapped her fingers about him, and he thrust into her hand, the dampness between her legs increased. She could almost feel him inside her, her body clenching as if he was already there.
He broke the kiss as she traced her fingernails lightly along the underside of his shaft from base to tip, breathing, “Elena…” as he reached for the snap on her jeans.
His hand slid into them, into her heat, and her head spun wildly as his fingers slid through her arousal, along her clit, to her opening, where he thrust one inside her and teased her gently. She squeezed him, her hips moving of their own as he swirled that finger inside her, as he thrust it slowly in and eased it slowly out. Then, he shifted, and fire tore through her as he hit that magical sweet spot so many men couldn't find, never mind caress.
Her fingers tightened about his cock, her fingernails sank into his shoulder, and she shuddered against him as he stroked her ever so sensually. Fire licked along her legs, licked between them, along her stomach and over her breasts, and she clung to him, her hand going still as he worked her so carefully into the most powerful orgasm she ever felt. It took root, the tingles ripping out from where he stroked her so sweetly, and her entire body tensed with the need to come.
He swept back along that sweet spot, and with his thumb, did a slow, teasing pass over her now-aching clit.
She exploded.
“Frerin!” Her cry echoed around them as she pulsed around him, rocking to draw out the fiery pleasure as best she could. Her entire body tingled as if a live wire pressed against her, and she came a long gush that he drew out until she sank against him, breathless and too sensitive to be touched.
He slipped his finger free, teased her clit with one more caress, and then whispered, “Lena…” cradling her against him as she clung to him, fighting to breathe, her body limp from the powerful rush of her climax.
He kissed her then, deep and slow, and as her head slowly cleared, she smiled up at him as he whispered, “You want to go upstairs, honey?”
“I would love to.”
He smiled. “Come on, then.”
He linked his fingers with hers, bringing her hand up to brush with a kiss, and at the top of that gracefully curved staircase, she tugged him to her, smiling as his arms slid about her and his lips found hers. He swept her up into his arms then, spiriting her the rest of the way down the hallway and into his bedroom.

Pairing: Will Byers X M!Reader (he/him)
Description: After a long day, followed by a confrontation with Angela and her friends, you though today would be the worst day of the week. But who comes knocking at your bedroom door but your friend, Will Byers.
Tags// Bullying, Use of Queer as an insult, fluff
Word count: 1k
A/N: this is my first work for Tumblr so if it feels rushed or something it’s because I’ve never written in a Y/N format. Also, the fic takes place in January (4 months after the Byers moved to California since according to the wiki they move in around October) so it’s pretty chilly, just an fyi for immersion reasons. Also if you have any constructive criticism In ways I can improve my writing PLEASE lmk, I want my writing to be as good as possible.
Let’s Make a Deal.
Tumblr media
Loser.
Queer.
Freak.
All things you had become all too used to hearing in the last 4 months. Being the new kid wasn’t the easiest, or at least that’s what your dad told you, but it’s been four god damn months… when does it get easy? It was a particularly bad day as well. First, you wake up too late for breakfast, then you leave your lunch money at home, and then the one person who actually treats you like a human being doesn’t show up?? It’s like you were hexed that day, or like everyone was. It seemed like everyone was trying their hardest to piss you off today.
Just when you thought you were free, you heard someone yell your name.
“Hey y/n!!”
You turn around.
“What do you want Angela.” you say with a defeated tone.
“I wanna know where your boyfriend and his freak show sister is.” She said as her friends start to surround you.
“Just leave me alone Angela.” You plead again, to absolutely no avail.
“Awwww… did the precious Will and y/n Byers get a divorce?” Jake taunted.
“Probably wouldn’t be the first divorce you’ve seen.” You said under your breath.
“What did you just say?” Jake quickly snapped.
You pretended not to hear him and began walking off. It was already a shit day, and you didn’t have the energy to deal with this now. Jake still yelled at you but you continued walking until you finally got to your bike and rode off.
It was a cool afternoon, but even the somewhat chilly weather of the crisp January afternoon wasn’t enough to cool off the anger and frustration that gnawed at the back of your mind. Why of ALL days was Will absent today. You felt angry, but deep down you really just felt sad. As you finally rolled up to your house you put your bike at the side of your house and walked into your house through the back door. It was the best way to avoid your mother asking how your day was, thankfully she was in the front today, so you were able to avoid the conversation. You slammed your bedroom door behind you and immediately crashed onto your bed. There was no way your day could get any worse.
Knock knock.
“Go away mom!” You yelled towards the door.
The door creaked open.
“It’s not your mom, don’t worry.”
It was an all too familiar voice. You quickly sat up and looked to see who it is.
“Oh and where were you all day Byers?!” You asked, a big sharp in your tone.
“Sorry… it was Janes birthday today so I came over to see if you wanted to come over.” Will said, “I didn’t think it would be that bad today.”
“Well it was that bad today.” You said, a few tears swelling up in your eyes.
Will quickly rushed to your side.
“Y/n, you know can talk to me about it. My mom always says that talking about your problems will make them easier to handle.” Will said, a bit awkwardly.
“Well… I don’t know. It just seemed like the world was against me today. Angela and all her friends made it seem like I had a target on my back all day, not to mention the fact that my luck today?? It’s been absolutely terrible. And just when I think my day is getting bad I walk into first period and the one person, the one person I want to see today isn’t there. Sorry it feels dumb to say out loud…” you ranted.
“Y/n…” Will murmured.
You looked at Will who was pretty close to you, his face was bright red.
“Erm… I mean…” you tripped over your words.
“You shouldn’t listen to someone like Angela.” Will said.
“Huh?”
“People like Angela shouldn’t be listened to. Neither are her friends. You were the only person I’ve met here in California that actually makes getting up and going to school worth it.” Will said.
You felt your face get a bit warmer at Wills remark. Did he really mean that? He looked at you right in the eye, and he was also very flustered.
“I mean… there’s gotta be more to it than that.” You say a bit under your breath.
“If you ask me y/n, you’re the funniest, kindest, and just… just the greatest person in this awful state, and I think instead of thinking about today, you should come with me and eat some cake. I mean… you’re really handsome when you smile.”
You barely caught that last part but you were definitely flustered now. You froze up a bit, lost in the conversation. Will seemed to panic a bit at the silence but you finally gathered yourself and said something.
“Well, I think you’re handsome when you aren’t panicking.” You quickly blurted out as you grabbed his hands to calm him down.
You quickly pecked him on the forehead and you were both super flushed now. You could feel him squeezing your hand, his somewhat warm hands felt good against your skin.
“So let’s both agree that I’ll start smiling and you’ll calm down. Deal?” you quickly said.
It took him a moment to respond, but eventually he returned to the conversation.
“Deal.”
Will quickly leaned in and kissed you on the lips. It was quick, but still sweet. You could feel the biggest, stupidest smile crawl across your face, which garnered a slight laugh from Will.
“C’mon, Jane is probably waiting for us.” He said, grabbing your hand and leading you out of your room.
It was like the entire day was reset. No more thoughts about Angela. No more thoughts about grades. The only thing in your mind for the rest of the day was Will Byers.

Stories from Argo Academy part 2
Once again crossposted on A03. Will link that and the last part at the end.
Hello once again, and welcome to my 3 a.m. writing, Sesh. Today I have for you a follow-up or parallel chapter following Josephine. To set the scene, this is the second part of a three- or four-parter, setting up Argo Academy and opening the floor to more demigod stories. Don't worry though; you will still see a lot of these two after this resolves. Also, I don't know how to denote text messages in writing, so I will place them in these things until I get a better idea.
Being a child of Poseidon comes with its ups and downs. On the one hand, you have an incredibly powerful heritage, only truly rivaled by the children of the other big three. But on the other hand, you are perpetually stuck in second place, always falling behind someone or something.
For Josephine, this wasn't as big a deal; she was always comfortable where she lay, able to satisfy her desires, and fit wherever she needed to be. However, there were times when even she would look towards someone else and wish that maybe she could stand where they stood, have what they had, or perhaps even drag them down to her level. She was like the ocean in those kinds of ways, fluid and warm, but also greedy and envious at times.
There had been a lot of that this week. First, she had to deal with a transfer camper practically hanging off her partner Charlie (the son of Apollo), which, all in all, wasn't actually that bad, but it set a precedent for the week to come. Then she got into a fight with a son of Zeus over bathroom cleaning duty, where she so desperately wanted to emulate a previous Poseidon child and blast their ass. And to top it all off, tonight her frustrations almost boiled over because her friends cancelled their night out at the last minute, only to go out with their other friends. Maybe this last one wasn't as bad, but she had been looking forward to tonight, giving her a much-needed escape from her camp responsibilities for just one night, and so to have it pulled out from beneath her left her feeling some type of way.
So now she lay upon the roof of her cabin, staring up into the night sky, watching the stars, and trying to get her mind off her woes. It wasn't as easy to see the stars out here as it was back home, but at least laying here like this brought her back then momentarily.
She couldn't help but remember those nights every now and then, back when she still lived out at sea, when nothing else mattered besides the metal beneath you and the dark waters around you. Back then, it was just her and her mom, living off the sea for half the year and staying on the mainland for the other half.
As these memories rose within her, she began to feel the sting of saltwater in her eyes once again as she clenched her jaw and fought to stay afloat as the waves came crashing down inside her.
After what seemed like an eternity but was most likely just a matter of minutes, Josephine regained control of her vessel and stilled the waters.
She would sit up from her position on the roof and look out over the camp, the place she called home for half her life, and something she had been musing about for weeks would click into place.
Despite every bad thing she's experienced since coming here, Camp Half-Blood was truly home to her.
But it was time to move on, to find something better. She would push herself off the roof as she pulled out her phone, steps of water forming underneath her as she formulated a message to send.
~If you are receiving this message, then I think you would be interested in what I have to say. I love Camp Half-Blood, but despite that, I'm leaving camp. I'm hoping to go out there and create something new, another safe space for demigods. I don't know if I will succeed, but I feel like it is something I must do. I am extending an invitation to you all, whether you choose to accept it or not. If you are interested, meet down at the lake at midnight.~
As she typed and erased, and typed and erased, she would make her way over to a familiar cabin, covered in colors that seemed to drain life out of everything around it. The Hades cabin is the home of Kenneth Michael Armstrong.
Unfortunately for her, as she climbed the steps towards the front door, she would find her friend missing. Normally, at this time of night, she could find them sitting on the steps of their home, sketching whatever ends up wandering through the night. Tonight instead, all she found was Kenneth's personal Undead, Arthur, cleaning up the empty cabin. As she approached, Arthur would look up slowly before shaking his head and shrugging his shoulders before returning to the task at hand.
Despite this setback, Josephine would type out another text to her dear friend before waving to Arthur and doing an about face to walk off.
~Hey Ken Ken, I stopped by your cabin on the way to the lake but found you weren't home. I'm going to assume you went out and lost track of time. If or when you get back tonight, let me know. We need to talk.~
As Josephine walked the path towards the lake, she would feel the shadows shudder beside her as a familiar presence appeared beside her and matched her stride. She gave Kenneth a quick glance, immediately placing the frost covering their clothes and the snow dusted throughout their hair.
"Aww, I'm sorry, did I interrupt your trip to the tundra? I'll try to keep it quick so you can go back." Josephine would tease her friend as she reached out to brush some of the snow away.
"If you must know, I decided to stop by the arctic to see some penguins, and I would really like to get back to them. They’re almost ready to accept me into their pack." Kenneth would respond back in kind, their voice rough as if it hadn't been used in a few days. "Anyway, what's this about? Did something happen?"
As Kenneth spoke, they would take note of the state of Josephine’s eyes, seeing the telltale signs of her crying. Silently, they would reach into the shadows around them before retrieving an ice cream bar from his stash for her, to help her feel better.
In response, Josephine would pass her phone over to Kenneth in exchange for the ice cream bar, with her phone screen open to the message she sent out on the way over. She took the time when Ken was reading to begin snacking on the sweet treat.
As she ate her treat, Josephine would once again look over at Kenneth. It was moments like these that reminded her why she loved them so much. If it were anyone else, they might have made a big deal out of it or even not noticed that she had been crying. But Kenneth always seemed to notice and offer silent support until she needed or wanted to talk.
"Oh, you're working on Argo again? I can't say I'm surprised, but what decided it?" Kenneth had previously been Josephine's partner in crime when it came to working on Argo stuff, so they immediately recognized what this meant. After reading through the message once more, they opened up the member list of the group chat to look over who was recruited.
"I don't know, Ken. Something finally clicked for me tonight. But you and I both know it was going to happen sooner or later." Josephine would briefly pause in her speech, her tone full of certainty and emotion. "Despite everything, this place just ain’t right for us, and it's not right for a lot of people."
Kenneth would remain silent in response, thinking through their own feelings. She was right; despite how much they both tried to make it work, as they grew older and older, it became more and more obvious that they were mismatched.
"What're your thoughts on the recruits? Anyone missing?" Josephine would take her phone back after Kenneth was done reading.
"I think it wouldn't hurt to include a few more people, reach out, and see if anyone from Jupiter wants in. I'm sure someone from there feels the same as we do." Kenneth hadn't spent as much time over at Camp Jupiter as others, but there were likely to be people like them. "Aside from that, you have a decent split of gods, which should make construction and planning easier. Let's just hope they all show up."
And with that message, the two would continue on towards the lake, discussing the pros and cons of the different people on the list as well as possible locations to set up shop.
Alright, everyone. I think I feel moderately good about this chapter. I didn't really plan to update this so soon, but this sort of mini-introduction arc should hopefully lay the groundwork for more stories in the future. As always, let me know your thoughts, and thanks for reading. Next time, it will probably be the meeting or the aftermath of the meeting. Maybe a whole new perspective. Who knows? Not me.

I am so fucking tired of being mistreated and walked over. In order to be walked upon, you must be lying down. and I'm done lying down.
I am only starting to speak up about these kinds of grievances of mine in recent years because they have brought so much pain for the last 15 years. I have had former classmates tell me I didn't face racism growing up, or that I dealt with bullying. I have had others tell me I have nothing to fear on campus. A tall, white, straight man telling me, a queer jewish asian, that I shouldn't be at the very least worried is rich. I have traveled to more than 25 countries and to all four hemispheres, I think I can talk about where and where I don't feel safe. And right now I have felt safer walking through Istanbul at night than walking around my own city. And this is fully due to the rise in antisemitism. and the lack of support from goyim I have seen for the women who were raped and assaulted on 10/7.
I don't talk about being sexually assaulted and harassed for 6 years by one of my classmates because I have a friend who tells me people should have been nicer to my assaulter. This person also follows my main account, which is part of the reason I created this side blog. I don't want people who know me to see these posts. It's easier talking about deep trauma in front of strangers than people I have known for 16 years.
I am terrified that I will run into him one day. I cry about it at night. I hope that 10 plus years has changed my physical appearance enough to go unnoticed. I think one of the scariest realizations was that he still remembered me in high school, because one of his classmates went to my dojo. And she told me I was still on his list. It terrifies me that I could still be on his mind. I have blocked his family members on social media, because his grandmother and my mom are Facebook friends. Which means he could know what I look like now.
I never express this fear out loud because people around me see me as a strong person, which then makes it hard for me to break down around them. I am the strong person my friends go to for support, but I feel like I would crush them under the weigh of my problems. I mention it in passing sometimes, but I never get into the details. because it scares me to vocalize it.
I have trained in karate and Brazilian Jiu jitsu for 10 years. It took me two years before I was comfortable rolling (bjj version of sparring and training) with male students in full uniform. It took until my 7th year training to be comfortable wearing leggings and rash guard to class. I would wear gi pants and a rash guard, because the thought of men touching my legs with their hands makes my skin crawl. But once the pandemic came around, it was no longer practical to wear gi pants and cheaper to wear leggings. And even though I am one of the highest ranked women at my dojo, I still don't feel comfortable in male dominated classes, especially when I am wearing just leggings and a rash guard. In karate, it took me a few years before I was comfortable wearing just my bra under my gi. because I was worried how it appeared to men on the floor.
I have never been super comfortable wearing revealing clothing, but I have been slowly reclaiming those clothes. And I am slowly trying to overcome this trauma. I spent a good amount of time this summer not wearing a shirt because it was so fucking hot in Portugal (and I only brought seven shirts with me: 3 work shirts, 3 day trip shirts, 1 sleeping shirt). And for the first two weeks, I was living with three men and two women. It scared me at first, but I decided that if I am used to changing around women, and wearing skin tight clothing while grappling, I could wear my bra and biking shorts in my own living space. So I did. and it felt great.
I will keep talking about these events, partially because it makes me less afraid and partially because every time I tell a story, the easier it gets. Maybe one day I will be able to say some of the things in this post out loud. for now I will keep taking small steps

||Horror Book Chapter 1: Bloody game of Hide and seek||
Hello my dears, Peahen mom here with a drabble but it's for my friend @demon-blood-youths it's something like a horror type drabble but I did wanna give this a shot. :3 And if demon mun has a idea of a horror drabble involving the DBT, you can add to this and we can make it into some scary mini series.
~~Drabble summary~~
Sukuna has been playing with Ink for a long time now, after the things he's done. He hasn't grown bored yet during the last few weeks till he wanted to try something a bit more....fun. Wanna know what it is? Ready to find out.
||Warning||
~Will have some scares
~Blood will be present
~Fighting might or may not be seen
~~Guests for this drabble~~
Van Ink the Dragon belongs to my friend. Some of the fraction leaders belong to her.
((My guests))
Sukuna Ryomen is from the manga and anime Jujusu kaisen series. Also to me due to rping as him as a muse on the blog.
Some of the fraction leaders also belong to me.
((Just a heads up: Grammar is not good and their will be heavy mistakes but this was written for fun so please enjoy. I hope you like this friend.))
It was quiet this night; a little too quiet. Ever since the attack on the fractions in New York, the city has been recovering and well for the time being. It was good to know everyone recovered. And moved on from the scary event.
Well, almost.
The fractions in New York City and outside of NYC have showed a slow recovery but it didn't explain the nightmares they get. For one leader we shall start there. Van Ink the Dragon was sleeping but she was curled up under the blanket due to the cold.
It seems she was having a calm dream right? Well, again, that was wrong.
~~In her dreams~~
She was panting heavily while leaning against a old musty wall, the hallway deadly silent with the low creeks of the floorboard. Her face was coated in sweat but she also was covering her arm while looking scared. She was in some old mansion with a thunderstorm ringing out in this dream world. The sound of silence being taken by the beating of her own heart.
'Oh damn it..w..why did I even agree to this sort of rule in hide and seek?! I mean come on!! He's really serious about this!!'
~~A few minutes earlier~~
"What do you want now?" Ink was looking at a familiar face or to say a deadly one. Sukuna Ryomen was standing there while crossing his his arms. He was playing these games with Ink for a while now and yet, it was only due to him being bored. Now, he was grinning with a smile having some twist to the game.
"Well, inky. I remember you said we were going to try a new game called Hide and seek right? Well, I wanna play that one." He seems excited about it that made Ink nervous but didn't show it. When seeing how eager he was, it couldn't be good.
"..Y..Yes? I remember..."
"Well," He steps forward to grab her chin to see her tense. He forces her to look up into his four red blood eyes while seeing that same sick grin. "I wanna pay it. So how about it? A few rounds wouldn't hurt.."
"...Ummm....If you want t..to then sure.." Ink said not liking his smirk.
"But...I have a few....changes to the game but I think you'll love them.." He said looking away to confuse Ink. What did he mean by that? Well, she'll find out sooner or later. That's when she saw the area change and shift now as she sees they were now in some old mansion to see they were in the main hallway of this place. It looked really old and yet very ancient. How in the world was Sukuna able to do this!? Grey eyes looked worried and nervous but she slowly looks around before wondering about something.
"Beautiful isn't it? A little something we can play our game, Inky." He grins as Ink looks ahead.
"Yeah, I guess but...you never told me about your new added rules to the game. Is their something I should know?" she starts to turn to face him but as she did.....
"Besides, knowing you, theirs always a-Huh?"
Once she turns, he was gone.
"......." She felt nervous wondering where he went but something was off about the new rules he was going to add. "Uhhhh Sukuna? You still here? Where are you?" she calls out but her voice echoes from the open space of this place. Ink only remains quiet to look around but before she did anything else.
"Sukuna? Where are you? This isn't funny. You can't start the game like this. Are you even still here!?"
He didn't answer or say anything at Ink was thinking she's alone.
"Sukuna....hello?" she steps back to look around. "Come on, this isn't funny! Where are-" but to her answer, something behind her shows to quickly grab and sink their sharp teeth into her shoulder.
"!!!" Ink's heart throbs with grey eyes widen feeling a burning sensation in her shoulder. Seeing her Pj shirt getting drenched in some of her blood.The pain was still bad but it felt much worse in her dreams. Damn, she knew he'll leave a mark on her again.
She saw a flash of lightning to show another behind her. It was Sukuna but his four arms were showing this time as she was scared to speak. However, he lets go of her shoulder showing her blood on his lips and teeth. She was about to move but Sukuna grips her close while speaking into her ear.
'....Since your so eager to know. My only changes is if I catch you..' A finger runs from her shoulder to run across her throat feeling her gulp slowly since the talon nail was threatening to cut her neck.
'I get to eat from you or....something else. I'm sure since this is hide and seek. You should be fine right Inky? Just a simple...little..game. Just don't make this too easy..I expect you to give it your all. I'll even give you a ten second start....'
His voice was demonic that creeps Ink out but she looks ahead not saying anything from being afraid a little. He only smiled then chuckled.
"..I....g...get it. A..anything else?" she asked but Sukuna said nothing to grip her hair as she winces with eyes closed.
'Hmmm, just one.....' he leans in closer to speak in her ear.
'Run.....'
After he drops her, Ink quickly scrambles to her feet and runs away from him, forcing a door open and runs to the rooms of this crazy old mansion. Sukuna saw as he chuckled to then it turns into horrible monster like laughing as he begins to count down.
'10....9...8....7...'
Ink was running, she didn't dare stop or wanted to. She had to get away or give a good distance before he would finish. She opens a door quickly but she looks left and right.
'6......5.......4...'
She looks to run to the right down the hallway but was hurrying further into the mansion. Sukuna kept counting but he was already excited.
'3.....2.........1......ready or not, here. I. Come.'
~~~~~~~~~
Ink already hated this game even if it's in her dreams, panting to herself to cover her neck since he caught her twice but she was able to get away from him in time. She looks down to try catching her breath hearing the storm getting worse outside or in this domain of his.
She had to find a way to get out of this dream but she knew if she tried, he would not like that. Ink caught her breath to look left and right hearing thunder outside. The first time she got caught he attacked her trying to almost kill her but she got away. The second time was him slamming her against the wall ready to rip her throat out even if he did bite her, she got away but that only angered him.
Or to say, he's toying with her.
Ink looks to start heading down the dark hallway, wishing she can find a damn light somewhere but knowing Sukuna, he only leaves some lights since this is his world. Not hers. She keeps walking forward slowly but she tried not to make a noise, nothing to get him to know where she was. She got caught twice and he...didn't like the easy catch so...he made it harder.
She keeps walking but saw the doors even from the hallway, the windows were clear but she can see the outside. Dark. Gloominess. Cold. Very very cold. It made her own demon blood run cold. Ink shook her head to look away when seeing lightning again.
'Just focus Ink You can get through this nightmare. Just bare with it for a while longer..' she said to herself in her head. She keeps walking forward, looking ahead but as she was walking closer to a door-
"Ohhhhhhh Inky........Where are yooouuuuuu.."
She tenses hearing the familiar voice turning to look behind hearing Sukuna's voice. Shit shit shit! Ink looks but she quickly opens the door to get inside and sees she's in a bedroom.
"Damn it. I g..gotta hide..gotta hide." she said looking left and right but quickly heard footsteps as she knew he was walking down the hallway!
"Inkyyyyyy....I know your somewhere in this little mansion. You don't have to hide from me. I won't hurt you~"
She looks left and right hearing another louder thunder that it hurts her ears. However, Ink looks seeing another door but goes to head into the room to show it's a closet to get in and hurry inside closing the door behind her.
"I know your here. Are you going to make this too easy for me? Do I get to have another bite or maybe a simple taste......you can't keep this up forever."
Ink sits down to look at the door but she somehow can still hear his footsteps. A single drop of sweat runs down her face already scared. She keeps quiet to look panting slowly. She's trying to calm down but as she wonders if he moved on, her grey eyes widen hearing the door opening with a creek. The room had a fireplace that burst into flames giving some light. Sukuna looks to the room as he walks inside. Their was blood on his talon nails and chin after his previous bite but she kicked him off before running off.
"...Inkyyyyyyyy.....where are you? Come out, come out, where ever you are...".
"........." Ink remains silent but looks to the closet door not doing anything. Sukuna looks in the room but he was wondering. Where was she? She had to still be in the mansion but the time he has with her was running down to almost a hour.
"Inky, I know your hear. I can sense your fear pet..." He smiled when thunder rumbles through the sky that Ink winces but she was calming down.
"Please come out. I know your scared from the two times I almost caught you. Your finally make it 'fun' for me. If you come out I won't hurt you as much. I just wish to eat you......" He looks through the room.
Ink grips her shirt looking down feeling her grey eyes close tight. However, Ink winces again knowing the curses on her back was glowing. Was he trying to cheat to find her!? No fair!
"Your not behind the chair....or under the bed. Your not even in the bathroom.." He keeps looking around but was making creaks in the wood floor that scares Ink more.
She winces ignoring her curse seals from him since he was trying to use that to find her. They didn't hurt her but she only tries calming her breathing but was about to gasp out to cover her mouth. She didn't want him to find her. Not to suffer worse. Sukuna kept looking around in the room but he only sighed to smile. Maybe...
"Hmmmmm, I see your not in this room......heh, seems your getting smarter now Inky...such a precious little pet knowing the rules." He looks to see the flames burning in the fireplace to run his talon nails against the wall scratching it.
A demonic chuckle leaves him that it scared Ink a bit more. "I can't wait to find you so then I can enjoy another good meal......but you seem not to be here..maybe in another room....." He slowly turns to leave but she heard his footsteps slowly making their way to the door. As he was about to open the door....
Ink shifts to make a creak! She tense hearing that but the footsteps stop. Fuck.
'Please leave..please leave......' she begs hoping Sukuna leaves the room but their was no noise that scared Ink even more. However, she heard the footsteps to the door opening and the footsteps leaving. Ink didn't move, nor breath, not daring to let out a sound till the door closed.
Ink shook from her hiding spot still crying scared that as the noise goes off in the distance, she lowers her hand to pant slowly in fear. That was too close. Too too close. She slowly stood up to open the door slowly to check. The room she was hiding in was empty now but the fire place was still lit. Still looking scared, she opens the door more to leave the closet.
"........" With a sigh of relief, she was safe. "Thank god. That was too cl...close....." She checks the time seeing the hour was almost up. She was getting ready to be sent back soon.
"I just need to hold off for the last moments. Your almost there Ink. Just breath....." she said to herself walking to the door to leave this room. However, as she was about to reach for the handle the fireplace flames goes out suddenly leaving Ink in Darkness.
She stops to look at the fireplace, seeing the smoke feeling more nervous. She had to get out of this room. Something felt off. She was safe...wasn't she?
"C..Calm down. Just need to get out of here.." She holds the door handle ready to leave the room so she can be sent back as the time was close. Just a little more. However........
A cold chill runs down her spine that she gasped quickly rubbing her arms as the room got really cold. She looks around seeing the room cold. She didn't know why but something..something was in the room with her. However a pair of hands shows in the darkness behind her.
"Heh....Found you Inky.."
"!?" Her heart almost stopped hearing the familiar voice as she quickly tries to turn around only to get grabbed and held back. Ink struggles and tried to scream but one hand goes over her mouth muffling it.
"MFFMMM!!!!!!"
"Well, seems I found you again......you gotten much better in hiding..but so close too. Your really something else Inky.." Sukuna growls against her ear as she struggles in his four arms but he tightens his grip seeing her wince in pain.
"I will admit, you did well...but you got caught again and it's the third time.....so..I get to eat..." He grips her hair again forcing her head back showing her neck to him.
She struggles once more trying to kick him off but he grips her arm almost twisting it as she winces in pain tears forming. Sukuna must have cheated but he only chuckled. This was his game; he can do what he wishes.
"I had fun Inky....You will fill me nicely this night.." He said to turn her around but she saw his scary form. Her grey eyes were showing fear but he saw her try to get away only for Sukuna suddenly lower down sinking his teeth into her neck rather harshly.
Blood spills from Ink as she struggles crying and screaming behind his hand however, he only keeps eating draining Ink that even if her grey eyes were slowly lowering down feeling weak.
"Mfffmnnnn......" Ink was feeling her struggling get weaker as he keeps draining more and more for a few seconds. However, he drinks more until he sees her not twitching anymore, her eyes dulled out from this that Sukuna lets go. He looks to only see her eyes but smiled.
"See you in our next game..oh, and tell your little demon friends hello.." He reaches now holding her up about to slash her body up till...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"!!!!!!!" Ink sits up in alarm screaming out in fear hearing thunder outside. She was soaked in sweat while her grey eyes were wide in fear. She was shaking to look at her hands gripping the blanket she had.
"In...Ink?" She quickly looks to see some of the female members of the DBT. Oblivion, Maggie, Taz, and Ophelia was awake looking worried while wearing their Pj's. They heard her screaming in her sleep and has tried to wake her up but nothing worked.
"...........G..guys? W..wait, where are-"
"Easy. Your in your room. You were having a nightmare..." Maggie said looking at her but she's never seen her this spooked before. Even from nightmares. Ink said nothing to look down feeling her heart beating like crazy but she only felt tears running down her cheeks to wipe them off.
"..S..sorry sorry. I...It was just a dream. I hope I didn't worry you guys..." she mutters.
"...Of course we were worried. It's just...you must have had a really bad nightmare. You were tossing and turning, wincing like you were in pain. Even if we tried to wake you..you wouldn't wake up. But are you sure your alright?" Oblivion asked but Ink looks to him.
"Y..Yeah...Yeah, I'm alright.....I just...I had a bad nightmare. Nothing else." she said but as she turns to face them, she winces with a hiss. The girls wonder what was wrong for Ophelia to check. She carefully looked for her eyes to widen.
On Ink's neck was wounds but it looked like a bite mark. Did something attack her!?
"I..Ink..y..y..your shoulder and n..neck...." she was worried but begins to try healing her.
Ink slowly looks but her grey eyes widen when lightening flashes across the dark sky with heavy rain coming down and thunder. Sukuna did visit her again and his bite was showing even a deeper shade of red.
"............" Ink had no words but looks down to the other girls worried. Just what the hell happened? For the mean time, they decided to stay with their leader for a bit till she was calm but she knew Sukuna was chuckling. He had fun sure but it seems he'll enjoy more games in the future.
Though, this was just one nightmare. Their was many more that could happen in the future.

MERCEDES VARNADO X ZENDAYA LOVE STORY SMUT WARNING ⚠️ PART FINALE of the woman at the bar love story and the last two chapters
Chapter 43
"If you love something let it go, if it comes back to you it's yours If it doesn't it never was
That's been playing over and over in my head for the past four months and mercedes and I have been so distant that it's killing me internally, we talk almost every other day or even just three times a week and it'd really bumming me out because she said she won't be sure I'd she'll get to come to my graduation and that doesn't only make me really really sad bit also pisses me off and mercedes has slowly drifted away like she promised me she wouldn't, she fucking promised me and now I'm so heartbroken and graduation is tomorrow and even though I'm happy I made it through 4 years of bullshit, I was relying on mercedes to rescue me, now I have no plans and I'm so screwed for my future
My parents flew down to see my graduation and explained to me that they'd keep this house for me if I promised them I'd go to college, I've yet to answer them because I'm not completely sure if I want to continue my educational career, school just isn't my thing "zendaya as zendayas mom yelled from the living room and I groaned and threw my headphones onto the end of my bed to see what she needed "yeah as u said entering the room to see mom and dad reading over a few college applications and I promised them if they fill out the papers for me I'd mail them out just to see if I would be eligible to go to school there "will you get the envelopes and stamps please as she asked nicely
My parents were honestly the sweetest people in the world but they never really wanted me around unless it was so I could get something from them and after giving them what they needed I rushed back into my room to put my headphones on and stare at my black phone screen and I keep hoping she'll text me first so I won't have to look so desperate for her attention and i finally gave up and just decided to text her
Zendaya: mercedes, are you coming tomorrow or not, I don't want to get my hopes up to find out you really don't give a fuck about me anymore so if you really care don't be fake, just tell me what's happening tomorrow
30 minutes later she responded
Mercedes: zendaya, I'm so sorry, I won't be able to make it tomorrow, this is all my fault, I didn't plan and now I'm not able to fly out, please understand that I want to be there more than anything
My heart broke, I couldn't reply I'd I even tried, I would've typed something that would've made her hate me, I just left her on read and got off my bed to grab my keys and as soon as I got in and started the ignition, I yelled at the top of my lungs, I was feeling so many emotions and I didn't even care anymore, she hurt me, she knows this is all I've been thinking about since before she left, SHE WAS THE ONE WHO BROUGHT THIS IDEA UP IN THE FIRST PLACE, SHE GOT MY HOPES UP FOR NOTHING, good riddance and I pulled my phone out to text Harry, him and I have gotten quite close recently and mostly because he's started Daiting ally on and off, ally is actually very scared of being in a relationship with a bad boy but she loves how her dad reacts every time Harry comes over
Zendaya: cam I come thru for a few grams
Harry: how many is a few
Zendaya: depends on how much $150 worth of graduation money will get me
Harry: I'll give you an 1/8 for free if you tell me why you're demanding this shit right now
Zendaya: broken heart, what else, do you have to be so damn nosy
Harry: of course, you're my friend, come by my house and I'll get you what you need to send you on your way just don't tell alls that I gave you it
Zendaya: no worries I'm not planning on talking to anyone for a while
Harry: but you're still walking right
Zendaya: maybe I'm not sure anymore, I kind of just want to smoke, I'll be at your house in 15
-----
I lied, it was 20 minutes later when I was driving up to Harry's house, I could've been mistaken but I'm sure allys car was sitting out front and I decided to text Harry just so I wouldn't mess with any of that relationship bullshit
Zendaya: am I tripping or is ally at your house right now
Harry: yeah she is, just come in and say hi and I'll hand you the stuff, she knows I'm dealing to you but she doesn't know how much I'm giving you so keep that on the dl
Zendaya: $150
Harry: no its a grad gift
I shrugged it off and got out of the car to walk in and go to the living room to see Harry and ally cuddled up on the couch together while the hallmark channel played on the huge flat screen TV, allys got him so whipped "Hola as I smiled making them turn their heads to see me "baby girl says ally as she got up and ran to me and pulled me into a big hug "can you believe we've almost graduated sats ally and I shook my head "not at all says zendaya and Harry walked to the back of his house to grab what I needed, ally followed him with her see eyes and looked back at me sadly "why are you doing this says ally "ally I would rather not get into it as I groaned rubbing my temples "fine just please be responsible as she whined kissing my cheek to go back to the couch
Harry finally walked back out and handed me the jar of weed and he gave me a hug and a quick peck on the cheek "go easy on that, it's top shelf says Harry "will do as I smiled before hurrying out, go easy my ass I'm gonna do my best to forget
------
I know senior year wouldn't be great even from the moment I had stepped foot into the building with my friends, I knew it would be just as shitty as the past 12 years of my life and I stayed in the backyard to smoke until I felt like my lungs were just dissipated into its own haze of smoke then I laid back In the grass with my thoughts filling my head ,the one thing I regret is falling for her but then again I don't regret that and I fell in love with that Polynesian for a reason, she made me smile and always took care of me then again I'm so pissed that I fell in love because maybe her whole plan was to just break my heart but what if it wasn't, what if our relationship was real to her
She sure as hell made me believe she loved me even after all the sex, she was still there, holding me, kissing me, touching me and I'm just so confused as to why she would do this to me since she's known about this for a long time and just as my eyes were getting heavier from staring up at the setting sky, my phone dinged
New message from mercedes
Should I answer it, maybe it'll make me feel better and I unlocked the screen to see what she had messaged me
Mercedes: I know you're mad but just listen, I really am sorry about not being able to go, I want to be with you more than anything
Mercedes: it's just complicated
Zendaya: did you find someone else
I didn't want to ask but my heart wouldn't rest until I did
Mercedes: of course not, you're my one & only
Zendaya: then how the fuck is it so complicated? M, I've told you the date over and over again, I don't see how you didn't plan
Mercedes: I wasn't paying attention and I'm sorry but I'll be down to get you soon I promise
Zendaya: don't bother, I'm not worth the work, I'll talk to you later I'm gonna go smoke some more
But that wasn't the truth, I was already as high as I could get, I just wanted to lay out on the grass and cry and all I want is to get tomorrow over with
Chapter 44
"This is the moment you have all been waiting for says vice principal Jones as he was giving his yearly pep talk to the seniors before letting us out to go to the stage and I didn't pay much attention, I didn't care, I just shifted in my seat uncomfortably while trying to keep this gown at ease even though it was extremely itchy and annoying, almost 700 kids were in my class, apparently this was the biggest graduating class that our school has ever had, I just liked the fact that I could hide within the crowd while being an annoyance to others plus there were other class clowns close to me so I wasn't alone in the mess of people "so let's get out there and get some diplomas as Jones screamed ,everyone celebrated behind him which brought me out of my bored state
Soon we were walking out to take our seats, I looked around in the audience of families and saw hundreds upon hundreds of people piled into the stadium on both sides but none of them were who I want to see, speeches went by and rows went up to get their diplomas, about seven rows later ,I stood up along with my line of peers to go up to the stage and I was honestly out of it the whole time, I didn't even pay attention only because there were a lot better things I could've been doing "zendaya Coleman" I grabbed the diploma and smiled pretty for the camera as it flashed in my face which caused me to be momentarily disoriented, I eventually got down the front steps of the stage and walked in the middle of my peers
Seeing ally, Mani, Lauren and camilla all giving me a thumbs up or playfully throwing up gang signs just to make me smile and I finally made it to my seat and waited for the last groups to get their diplomas and as soon as vp Jones said 'I now present the graduated class of 2015' I was ready to hop out of that mother fucking place and I split off from everyone because I'm not a big picture person, I quickly tip toed out to the parking lot to go to my car, just as I was about to step foot on the cement, someone grabbed my hand from behind me and they spun me around and when I saw who it was, a smile sprang across my face and I jumped into their arms "oh my God says zendaya as she screamed "mercedes says zendaya
"Congrats baby girl says mercedes as she exclaimed happily picking me up in the hug and I Wrapped my arms around her neck and pressed my lips to hers softly not caring who was around to see, what are they gonna do expel me. Good luck and I pulled away and mercedes set me down on my feet carefully "now where were you running off to? You do know it's tradition to take photos with the most important people says mercedes "thats not really my thing says zendaya as she responded almost embarrassed and she put her hands on her hips "what am I gonna do with you? You've got to start having some more fun kid says mercedes
Mercedes reached into the band of her skirt and pulled out her phone to swipe for the camera app, she turned it to the front facing camera and took multiple selfies, a few smiling ones, one where she kissed my cheek and then eventually she turned my head and planted a kiss on my lips to take a picture "that one is a keeper says mercedes as she laughed pulling her arm around me "so this is Hailey says normani as she called out from behind "fuck as I mumbled to myself then grabbed mercedes hand to turn us around to face them and all of the girls had their arms crossed and they had mad glares except Lauren "lemme explain says zendaya calmly
"There's no need, it actually makes a lot of sense says normani as she half smiled before stomping her heels up close to mercedes and my embrace and she got face to face with mercedes and pursed her lips "I hope you know that if you hurt her, all four of us will team up to kill you says normani "except me says ally as she called out "I won't kill you but I will slap the holy ghost out of you says ally and mercedes smirked and nodded "don't worry, there will be no need for any of that says mercedes "there better not be says normani as she chuckled softly before turning back to walk to the girls "zendaya c'mon we're taking pictures says normani "ugh fine, I'll be there in like three minutes as I replied to her as the girls started walking away
I turned my attention to mercedes and wrapped my hands around the back of her neck while her hands rested comfortably on my hips like they used to "you want to meet later tonight as I asked mercedes pushing my bottom lip out and mercedes smirked and nodded "of course, we can go get something to eat to celebrate says mercedes "I could think of a few things to eat as zendaya sensually said to tease mercedes "oh God says mercedes as she laughed "just getcho pretty ass over to your friends and text me when you're done says mercedes "yes ms mercedes as I smiled leaning in to give her a long passionate kiss before pulling away
-------
Mercedes picked me up from my house at seven'oclock to take me to this restaurant in LA called the nickel diner and an hour and half later we were at the diner sitting across from each other and mercedes bit her lip and glared me down as she took a sip of her glass of water, her lips were carefully placed on the rim as the water slowly went to her mouth although that could've just been my mind looking at her in slow motion "you look different as mercedes Said to zendaya and I nervously pushed a strand of hair out of my face "I'm sorry, is it bad says zendaya and mercedes shook her head and crossed her legs "not at all, you just look like you grew up a bit says mercedes and I smiled down at my fingers on top of the white table cloth "yeah I had to says zendaya
A long silence covered us as I looked over mercedes, it was so unreal to have her in fron of me, I didn't think she'd be here, now we're on our first actual date "why aren't you talking says mercedes as she reached out to grab her silverware and unroll the fabric napkin to get it ready for our food as it was served in front of us and zendaya giggled lightly "cause you make me speechless says zendaya "oh quit it says mercedes as she blushed cutting her food with a fork and knife before putting it in her mouth and almost moaning at the delicious goodness "I remember when I made you make those sounds as I laughed taking a bite of my own food and with her mouth slightly full, mercedes spoke to zendaya "really says mercedes and zendaya shrugged "you wanted me to talk right says zendaya
--------
After eating at the diner, mercedes took me to this beautiful park so we could walk off the big meal we just had "so what's the plan now says mercedes as she asked me after grabbing my hand "what do you mean as I asked curiously swinging our hands back and forth "are you coming back to Seattle with me or not says mercedes "of course babe, I was just waiting for you to ask although I think I deserve a sweeter proposal since you made me think you weren't coming to graduation as zendaya retorted with a fiendish smirk "but I showed up didn't I says mercedes "yeah as I raised my eyebrow at mercedes "after you broke my heart and made me think you weren't coming at all says zendaya
Mercedes sighed out and stopped us to get down on her knee and look up at me as she held my hand up in hers "zendaya Coleman will you please move to Seattle with me says mercedes as her long eyelashes batted quickly at me "yes says zendaya. How could I say no to that cute poly and she got up off of her knee and pulled me in by my face to kiss me softly as her other hand trailed down my lower back and after she pulled away, she gave me this sly smile "how about we go back to my hotel says mercedes and I nodded and she grabbed my hand as we turned back around "so have you been to any bars lately as I joked as we started heading for the car

Merry Christmas, friends. 🎄
This year truly reminded me why I enjoy working the holidays.
Despite baking copious cookies, offering up Party Perks full of slow cooker hot cocoa (they're not made for that...have you ever tried to clean one after it's been used for something it's not made for? 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣) and dressing like an elf for the past four Christmas Eves, it's been hit and miss.
In 2020 we only had two trains and half the crews due to Covid furloughs. Last year we were blasted by winter weather so severe that I came back from my annual December vacation (for baking) to 3 nights without trains and finally, at least, 2 on Christmas Eve.
Last year's (workplace) Christmas was even harder than 2020's, to be honest. With the Covid cuts we knew what to expect. Fav co-worker was at a down-line station and we sent each other gifts on the train. One of my favorite Conductors was furloughed -- I actually took her gift to her house and got to see her extensive Christmas village set-up and gorgeous real tree. We adjusted.
Last year's arctic blast was unanticipated (at least beyond a few days out) and we were left, more or less, with our hands tied as to options and little else to do but apologize and feel bad.
To put it into perspective -- this year's company official ugly sweater says 'Getting You Home For The Holidays' ...which is exactly what we were NOT doing last year. 😔
This year, fully staffed and 60 degrees (which I admit I also complained about a bit, but...less -- the sweet spot is, failing a dusting of our own, being able to chisel a piece of a white Christmas off the New York train and hold it in your hand -- I'm not kidding, see below from my first Christmas at this station 😂 ) spirits were festive and good times were had.
It felt right and I'm very grateful.
White Christmas 2018 be like:

Favorite and most meaningful gifts this year include:
Tumblr media
From Mom (selected by me).
I also received two books by Rachel Maddow and a whole-ass desk situation (I've needed a desk for so long, I can't wait to get everything put together and arranged!).
When Jamie's book arrived:
Mom: Who is Jamie Raskin?
Me: He's a Congressional Representative from Maryland. ... He was on the J6 Committee.
Mom: Of course he was. 🤦🏻‍♀️
Me: He's also an incredibly intelligent and articulate professor of Constitutional Law? 🤷🏻‍♀️😂
Dad gave generously in the form of gift cards, several of which are for Amazon and will undoubtedly go towards more books.
You can never have too many books. 📚
Tumblr media Tumblr media
From fav co-worker.
I'm no longer holding a (selfish and inappropriate) grudge against her for bidding off the regular that had us working together 3 nights a week. She had her reasons and, as I told her the first time she brought it up (though it took a hot second to get over myself and actually mean it 🤦🏻‍♀️😂); I hope it helps in the way she thinks it will.
Even when we're not working together multiple nights a week, she still knows me better than just about anyone these days. These items are just a few from a huge bag of individually wrapped thoughtfulness.
I love Harry Potter in Dutch more than I could possibly explain.
Once I get through the Feb. LSAT (decided we're sticking with that one, for better or worse -- last night and tonight are the first nights since my last real post that I haven't spent at least an hour with Brad Barbary 😂), I want to get back to practicing Dutch (and French) for more than just keeping my Duolingo streak alive.
Inspiring Women Fisher-Price Little People edition is equally amazing. I'd never even seen this set (and I love it!) but also, I now have a 'collection' of these items so the next time Amazon tries to sell me the Sanderson Sisters or Golden Girls I don't have to worry about starting yet another collection. ...it was done for me! 🤣
Tumblr media
It goes without saying that Sweet Liz telling the world, in a best-selling memoir which will undoubtedly be instrumental in the way that she's remembered far into the future, that the GOP is led by morons, is one of the greatest gifts I've ever been given.
Beyond my unending appreciation for the commendable sass with which Liz so articulately expresses herself, I am truly and seriously so grateful for the time and effort she put into not only the things that she's done, but the book she wrote about it.
I was asking for a book before its existence was announced, it had a great deal to live up to in my mind, anticipation aside, and it went above and beyond. Full review to follow (I'm almost done with my notes).
I have an incredibly blessed life and I am very grateful.

Four Good Days: The True Story That Inspired The Netflix Movie Four Good Days, And What Does The Ending Mean?
Tumblr media
The 2020 film Four Good Days, starring Mila Kunis and Glenn Close, is a Netflix hit right now, but what is the film's basis in reality? What follows is essential information. At the end of Four Good Days, it's revealed that the movie is based on a real-life mother and daughter named Libby Alexander and Amanda Wendler, the subjects of an article in The Washington Post(opens in new tab). My question is, who are these folks and what did they do to influence this movie? Based on Eli Saslow's article "How's Amanda?" the video explores the effects of a recent breakup. We hope you like this article Last Of Us Episode 6 Release Date. True account of a young woman's battle with heroin addiction and her mother's efforts to help her (opens in new tab). While there are minor differences between the original July 2016 piece and the film version, many of the key themes remain the same. The essay, like the film, primarily focuses on the relationship between Libby and Amanda, as well as on how Amanda's addiction affected her mother. After ignoring her teeth for ten years, Amanda, like the character in the essay, lost all of them. Aside from the fact that she had two sons rather than one daughter, the article makes no mention of her having given up a child for adoption, implying that this is another plot point that was created by the filmmakers. We hope you like this article Toy Story 5 Release Date. The medicine naltrexone blocks the effects of heroin and renders it impossible to get high; the title refers to the four days Amanda had to be clean before she could take her first dose. According to the article that served as the basis for the film, "doctors had told her that first, she needed to pass a drug test, which entailed staying clean for at least two weeks," so the scheduled date for the injection was still four days away. https://twitter.com/eddieclarke2/status/1622365217383399426
Four Good Days Ending Explained
Four months later, the film's climax unfolds. We see Molly's mom greet her with a "How are the kids?" upon her return home. Based on Molly's assurances that Chloe is fine while Corey has a cold, Sean is considering giving her more access to the children and regaining his trust in her. You might also be interested to read about Drew Carey Net Worth. Deb is nervous at first but then says nothing and approves and recognizes how far her daughter has gone by complimenting her appearance, even though she needs to have her shot on Friday but stated she could reschedule for Monday. At the film's conclusion, they are seen sitting in the garage, exchanging a touching glance, and tearing up the puzzle to start over. That's a message about a fresh start, symbolically speaking.

Four Good Days
What Happened To The Real Molly?
Although Amanda Wendler, the inspiration for Mila Kunis's character, is depicted in the article's last paragraphs going through another round of withdrawal, Wendler, the real-life addict, says staying sober is still a daily battle. "I was reading the Detroit Free Press," Amanda reportedly said "Five or six years ago, if you had asked me where I saw myself in five years, I never would have imagined having peace in my life, being able to get a good night's sleep and rest without worrying about where I was going to sleep or how I was going to eat. The difference between the two is dramatic. https://youtu.be/uDDCulgiqs4 What I mean is that, right now, I couldn't be happier with my life." She went on to say, "About my addiction, "I'll carry this with me forever. That is something I am aware of." A positive note was offered by Amanda who said, "The one catch is that giving up is impossible. The key is to keep trying. Last but not least, it took hold."   Read the full article

Hello, I hope all is well with you. I’m not sure what type of advice you will be able to give for this but anything will be really helpful. I started university at 17 and I’m less than 20 weeks I’ll be graduating. It’s a four and a half year program compressed in only two years. I’ve had endless assignments and projects with little to no breaks. Durning any holiday brake I get I take that time to get more school done so I don’t have to stress or worry about it durning the following week. With uni coming to an end we’re supposed to start putting out our portfolio for companies but I have no idea what company I want to work for. My mom said I should take a six month break soon as I graduate, give myself a breather and do small on tut side jobs like freelancing or tutoring. (I do game animation/3D Art) but I don’t know if that’s a good idea? Like I’ll be missing out and other people will see me as lazy for taking six months off and I’ll fall behind.
Ask A Question Here
Hey love,
Thank you so much for reaching out to Asking Jude.  Making a decision like this can definitely be overwhelming.  It can be helpful to talk about this with a family member or friend. If you feel it may be helpful to discuss this or anything else with a professional,  here is a link for a resource to find therapists near you: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/therapists.
That being said, we know that healthcare can be expensive in many countries, so Asking Jude has its own peer counseling service as an alternative to traditional counseling. This service is pay-what-you-can and completely remote (usually being given over text messaging and/or audio/video calling). If you're interested, reach out to us at [email protected].
You are extremely hardworking, and oftentimes, when we become used to non-stop work, we can feel guilty for taking any type of break.  I definitely recommend trying to incorporate even little breaks in your schoolwork schedule to help clear your mind and prevent burnout.
In terms of deciding whether or not to take the six-month break, I think either option has its benefits.  I think taking the break can give you the time you need to reset, revitalize, and potentially help you discover new passions or even realize the type of company you’d like to work for.  Not taking the break may prevent you from having worries about possibly missing out on opportunity, but there is also a risk of burning out which could be harmful to your productivity in the long run.
There is absolutely no reason to feel guilty about taking breaks or rest, especially when it benefits your mental health. Here is a quick article you can read about how to not feel guilty about taking breaks: https://sites.dartmouth.edu/learning/2019/02/18/take-breaks-and-dont-feel-guilty-about-it/. Although it’s hard, and it may feel like people will “think you are lazy,” I promise you that prioritizing what makes you happy and healthy is what’s most important. Plus, you have the support of your mom!
As mentioned, there are many pros and cons to either option, so writing these out in a list can also be helpful in making your decision, But, of course, please don’t hesitate to reach out again–we are here for you!
You are amazing, and you got this! Love,
Jordan Sadan <3

Tumblr media
nearly four years ago, you announced to your husband that you were pregnant. at the time, that was one of your and jake’s happiest moments, until about nine months later, when you were at the hospital, holding your baby girl in your arms as she rested on your chest, just minutes old.
seeing her and hearing her voice for the first time, that was the happiest moment of jake’s life, besides the day he married you, of course.
after being born in the midst of korea’s chilly winter, you two decided to name your newborn “eira,” meaning “snow.”
after having raised her for an exhausting, but most joy-filled three years, you two never really got a break. you recalled that the last time you actually took a vacation was while you were pregnant with eira. jake took you to his hometown to visit his parents so that they could see and congratulate you two in person.
you thought back to the wonderful memory, missing the feeling of travelling and exploring new places. you had been working many long hours almost every day for years now. jake watched as you would come home tired after work, week after week, and take care of eira, make her food, and do the best you could to spend time with the family.
part of being a mom was sacrifice, and jake always appreciated that about you. of course there were also sacrifices made on his end, and he always did his best to support you and help out so that you only had to do the bare minimum.
going through this time, there were some ups and downs in your and jake’s relationship, always coming home tired and more emotional than usual, especially recently. there were many arguments, but you two always worked them out in the end, and slowly, you were finding a healthy way to balance all the events in your life.
jake decided it was about time you got a break, and he planned a vacation for the three of you. at first, he was going to keep it a surprise, but his plan didn’t exactly go; being the honest person he was, he couldn’t keep such a significant event a secret from his wife.
when you found out from him where he was taking you, your eyes immediately lit up, “are you serious?! we’re going to fiji?!”
you weren’t sure if he was joking.
“where did you get this kind of money?” you asked, skeptical.
he laughed, “y/n, love, i know you’ve been wanting to get away, and we’ve saved up enough to go. don’t worry, i got this all planned and figured out already.”
he left a short kiss on your lips, causing your small pout to rise into a smile, unable to hide your growing excitement.
weeks later, you were boarding the plane to fiji and your daughter was crying in your husband’s arms as you three found your seats. this was a very contrasting scene to the one that was happening just minutes ago at the gate when eira was on jake’s lap, giggling to no end as he entertained her.
“why are you crying, baby?” jake asked with a soft voice, his eyes staring down intently into hers as she sat in his lap.
“i’m scared,” she expressed in between sobs.
she reached up to wipe her eyes, but jake got to it first, removing the tears on her soft, tiny cheeks with his thumbs.
“it’s okay, eira,” he brought her head towards his lips before leaving a kiss on her forehead. “taking off will be so smooth, you probably won’t even be able to tell we left the ground.”
but perhaps that was a bit of an exaggeration, as eira’s cries only grew louder once the plane was in the air.
her ears were in agony. this was her first time flying, and this was something you and jake were scared of. it broke your heart watching as she cried, clutching her ears with her tiny fists as she sucked on a piece of her favourite candy that you gave her in attempts to soothe the suffering.
she was sitting in the chair between you and your husband, and after the pain subsided, she eventually fell asleep, her head leaning against your arm as soft breaths left her lips.
after a long and exhausting journey, you three finally arrived at your destination and got to the resort jake had booked, which happened to be one of those huts in a village on top of the bright, sparkling blue water.
this was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and you couldn’t believe you got to experience it yourself with your family.
you got to stay there for three days, and one of the first things you three did was go for a swim in a small, private beach by your resort.
eira enjoyed her time there playing with the sand, making castles and fun shapes, and her dad helped her by bringing her wet sand, and you helped by digging holes here and there.
during the time at the beach, because eira didn’t want to get into the water, you and jake got some time to yourself as you went swimming just meters away from your three-year-old, since you obviously couldn’t leave her completely alone.
laughs of thrill and excitement left your lips as your husband carried you bridal style, running into the water. once you two were deep enough in, he didn’t hesitate in submerging you completely, and as he did, squeals left your lips. you immediately popped your head out of the water and wiped your face with your hands, playfully glaring at jake before splashing him with water. this quickly escalated into a water fight, like two young kids having the time of their childhood.
it all eventually ended with jake grabbing you by the waist, holding your body securely in his arms and planting a loving kiss on your lips. your hands snaked up his bare shoulders and around his neck.
after a few seconds, you suddenly pulled back, remembering eira was still at the shore. your eyes landed on her and you let out a sigh of relief, seeing her there, still busy with building her tiny wonderland.
you turned your head back to your husband whose gaze shortly followed yours. you took a moment to admire his features before his lips pulled into that smile that you fell so deeply in love with. your eyes trailed down to his lips before leaning in for another kiss.
because you arrived in fiji in the morning, you were lucky to have the whole day ahead of you. unfortunately however, jet lag seemed to be against you three as you ended up taking a family nap with eira lying between you two, all of you falling immediately asleep after washing up.
after an hour or two, jake’s eyes fluttered open as they adjusted to the light that still filled the room. he took in his surroundings, realizing he woke up on the edge of the bed and eira took up most of his side. he wondered to himself how she migrated so far in such a short amount of time and smiled before leaving a soft kiss on her forehead.
he lifted his head up to check on you, and watched as you and eira breathed heavily, signifying that you were both still deeply asleep.
he was very careful to not wake either of you as he sat up quietly. he made his way over to your side of the bed and laid down beside you, immediately taking you in his arms. you stirred slightly before opening your eyes tiredly. jake noticed this and left a kiss on your head as you saw the three-year-old had taken up almost his whole side of the mattress. you adjusted your body and laid your head and hand on his chest. he held you close with his palm resting on the lower part of your back, rubbing small circles on the exposed skin under your shirt, falling asleep in each other’s arms within minutes.
before you knew it, it was already the next day, and you three were getting ready to go on an excursion out on the water later. you were already dressed, and jake was getting ready. it usually took him a good few minutes before he was ready to go, so while he was, you prepared a little surprise you had been planning for the last couple weeks.
you got eira and helped her change into an outfit you had bought her for this moment onward.
“shh, eira! you have to keep it down,” you laughed as eira couldn’t contain her giggles and squeals as she fiddled with her shirt.
suddenly her dad came out from the bathroom, all dressed and ready.
your back was facing jake as you hid eira from his view, and your eyes went wide, giving her a signal, telling her it’s time.
“ready to go?” he asked.
“not quite,” you answered, standing up. “there’s something we have to do first.”
he looked at you curiously before his eyes landed on what was printed on eira’s t-shirt, ‘big sister.’
he was immediately confused and you watched as his brows furrowed and his head tilted slightly to the side, a habit of his ever since you first met him. his initial thought was why you would buy her a shirt that didn’t even apply to her.
but then it hit him. and his eyes went wide faster than the blink of an eye. eira began laughing with joy.
he opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out, and you smiled before he buried his face into his hands. you didn’t hesitate in walking over and taking him in your arms. he hugged you back tightly before making eye contact with eira, gesturing for her to come over and join you both, and she immediately came running. he separated from you, kneeling down to engulf his daughter in his arms.
you and jake had been trying for another baby for a little while after eira brought up the idea of having a younger sibling. and thinking about it for some time, you two agreed that you wanted another, so finding out that you were pregnant again was a wonderful surprise for him.
he had a difficult time expressing his joy with words while he was still in a state of shock, but you could tell he was ecstatic, especially by the wide smile he presented to both of you and the slight tears in his eyes.
“you’re gonna be a big sister, eira!” jake exclaimed, and she jumped up and down in excitement.
he looked back up at you and took your hands in his, giving you a loving and proud grin. he held the sides of your face gently before kissing you lovingly.
“mommy! daddy!” eira whined, laughing, causing you to pull away.
it was a difficult task to hide the happy news in order to surprise him, and now having the weight being lifted off your shoulders, you felt a wave of relief.
his eyes landed on eira as he thought to himself that as his family would be growing, you and him would also continue developing and flourishing as parents, and he couldn’t wait for the new addition to your family. his eyes then travelled to you and he rested his forehead on yours, whispering how grateful and proud he was of you.
you two were going to be parents for the second time, and eira still couldn’t get over the fact that she was going to be a big sister.
he kneeled down and brought his hands to your lower abdomen where he then left a long kiss and eira quickly followed, unlocking a new chapter for the life of your family.
