Round House Magic in the Mountains! He built a Wooden Yurt from a Kit
Meet Eric, an engineer living in a wooden yurt on his own land. It's about 500 square feet / 46 sqm. He considered many alternative small homes & tiny house options after deciding to leave the big city for mountain life. Ultimately, he found Smiling Wood Yurt kits and an affordable tiny lot in the middle of a small town--an ideal combo to create his dream home base for mountain adventures.
There's an incredible soothing & uplifting feel of a round home!

Social Gaslighting
And I'm just a

thorn in their side.
How dare I expect for them to care about anything other than conquest? How dare I ask for a garden in place of an empty, run-down warehouse?
How dare I exist when they explicitly told me not to.

1948 32.5ft Wooden Yacht - Bonnie
My girlfriend and I will be taking on the project of re-building her from Spring 2023 onward 💪
~ PS
I've had Bonnie for a couple years, beginning work to restore her in 2020 with my pal Connor, we begun to set about getting her stripped back to a workable state and then we were delayed by the crazy years we all know about!
I'll be posting lots of the details here for my own memories so feel free to follow to keep up!
Since June 2022 I've lived in Argyll
(Scottish Highlands) with Evie - So we will be taking the project forward with Connor dropping by now & again!

Little Wintergarden
As winter approaches comes the time of planting a wintergarden. Luckily we are blessed with Coco, our garden fairy, who raised loads of rucola, cauliflower brokkoli and more for us and her own garden.
We had three test gardens, that got planted in the beginning of the year. One of them is right under a spring. This gardenbed survived the hot summer and even draught with bearly being watered. We call it the No-water-garden. The perfect spot for summer garden.
But for winter the no-water-garden doesn't have enough sun, so I wanted to start a wintergarden.
This is what I created. Like everywhere around here, it is first a wrestle with blackberry roots. I also added a bit of compost. Even though we could probably do really good without.
The soil here used to be agricultural land before it got abandoned. Still after that animals grazed on the land. So everything in this ground grows well and abundent. Especially blackberrys. It coveres a lot of places with up to two meter high walls.
But this is a story for another time.
See you then!
Tammy
