...The other reason I didn't finish my P&P fic for yesterday was that I started by writing a different fic, taking the ultra-niche option of OC / OC GW2 femslash fic that's an AU of a previous, unfinished GW2 fic. The other fic isn't super important to the part I was trying to write, though.

Anyway, an excerpt:

She said, “This is my partner from the Order of Whispers, Lightbringer Althea Fairchild. She’s a valuable servant of the Pact.”

Understanding crept over their faces, though Gwen wasn’t sure just how much they understood.

“It’s an honor, Lightbringer,” said one of the explorers earnestly.

Althea shook hands with them in her turn and, always more scholarly than Gwen, chatted with them about their latest findings. Before long, Gwen and Althea smoothly extricated themselves and continued the rest of the way to the chamber holding the asura gates, the charr-made door spinning closed behind them. 

They glanced at each other. To Gwen, Althea looked different in ordinary clothes—less the frivolous noblewoman and more the dangerous mage she really was. Not more appealing, but differently so. Then the corner of Althea’s mouth tugged up.

“I don’t think anyone’s ever called me a servant of anything before,” she said.

“Do you mind?” said Gwen.

“Of course not. Would you care if I did?” Althea asked.

Gwen smiled back at her. “No.”

hi pd!! <3 and YES athalia is althea’s older sister. they’re not yet Developed developed since circuit (circuit-if) and take two (taketwo-if) are still kinda new (and i recommend them hehehe) and the au crossover of those two ifs in my head is kinda messy LMFAO but ok !! i hope this isn’t confusing lfmahaja

talia is the disciplinarian type of older sibling but will not hesitate to cover for thea’s ass when she pulls some dumb shit

they had tons of catfights when they were younger because talia can be bossy and thea likes to talk back lol

talia has always been the more adventurous sister but she got thea into snorkeling and scuba diving. it’s some of their favorite bonding activities

they once dressed up as each other on halloween

here’s where the crossover comes in LMFAO noel and talia were acquainted with each other through micah and thea who used be inseparably close. but they eventually became friends since talia has a passion for racing (or basically any extreme sport that gives her an adrenaline rush) and noel is the biggest mario kart enjoyer. they bonded over that and babysitting their little siblings.

despite micah and thea growing apart, noel and talia kept in touch for as long as they could until life got in the way and they both got really busy. but i imagine they’re still friends <3

talia’s boyfriend (to-be) is named roman. thea’s ex-boyfriend is also named roman. — “i guess it’s a sister thing, huh, ate?” “shut up, thea.”

noel always kicks thea’s ass in mario kart so thea asks roman (circuit) for tips: “i know it’s just a game but you know a lot about racing so…” and talia just stares at them like “umm ??? SO DO I”

roman teases talia like “a lot of the things you know about racing, i taught them to you” and she just tells him to shut up so he steals a kiss on her cheek before turning back to thea: “so what do you need to know?”

talia pretends to be annoyed but it really makes her heart swell seeing her sister and her boyfriend getting along <3

So, err, I continue to only find the will for niche AU-of-my-own-fic GW2 content. For those who have any context, this snippet takes place in the ten-level gap between the first Order of Whispers arc (rescuing Demmi Beetlestone) and the second (helping the skritt/quaggan/whoever).

But seeing Ascalon, at last. It had grown back, people said: the trees, the flowers. Gwen could see them, touch them. She could set foot on the same land that her foremothers and forefathers had, back when they were prosperous tradesfolk in Ashford instead of starving on the streets of Divinity's Reach or desperately fighting for Ebonhawke.

"You don't have to go see it," Tybalt added. "Maybe you'd rather pray or something."

Gwen actually laughed again.

"You can believe this," she said. "I don't hate you at all, Tybalt. I'd be glad to see Ashford with you."

He clapped her on the shoulder with his good paw, and her knees nearly buckled.

"Good to hear," he said. "I don't hate you either, Gwen. Tomorrow it is. Meet you in the Trader's Forum?"
