ایک بیان میں کہا گیا ہے کہ یہ دونوں ممالک کے درمیان دفاعی ٹیکنالوجی کے تعاون کو مضبوط بنانے کی طرف ایک اہم قدم ہے۔

وزارت دفاع نے جمعہ کو کہا کہ بھارت اور امریکہ نے دفاعی ٹیکنالوجی اور تجارتی پہل (DTTI) کے دائرہ کار میں فضائی لانچ شدہ بغیر پائلٹ فضائی گاڑی (ALUAV) کے لیے جولائی کے آخر میں ایک پراجیکٹ معاہدہ (PA) پر دستخط کیے تھے۔

پی اے کو وزارت دفاع (ایم او ڈی) اور امریکی محکمہ دفاع (ڈی او ڈی) کے درمیان 30 جولائی کو ڈی ٹی ٹی آئی کے تحت ایئر سسٹمز پر مشترکہ ورکنگ گروپ (جے ڈبلیو جی) کے شریک چیئرز نے دستخط کیے تھے۔

وزارت نے ایک بیان میں کہا ، “پی اے ایئر فورس ریسرچ لیبارٹری ، انڈین ایئر فورس ، اور ڈیفنس ریسرچ اینڈ ڈویلپمنٹ آرگنائزیشن کے مابین ایک ALUAV پروٹوٹائپ کو مشترکہ طور پر تیار کرنے کے لیے نظاموں کے ڈیزائن ، ڈویلپمنٹ ، مظاہرے ، جانچ اور تشخیص کے لیے تعاون کا خاکہ پیش کرتا ہے۔”
