Whumptober Day 7 - "Eternity is Misery" (Hellsing)
Have some Alucard whump for today's @whumptober story!
~~~~~~~
Prompts Used: Radio Silence, 'Can you hear me?' Fandom: Hellsing Character: Alucard
~~~~~~~
Read on Ao3
Read on FF.net
~~~~~~~~
It had been three days since Alucard had gone radio silent and that did not sit well with Integra. As impudent as the vampire could be at times, he was still unretractably bound to her and the fact that she had heard nothing from him, and he was now over two days late for his mission report, she could only assume something had gone horribly wrong. And not the kind of horribly wrong that ended with Alucard destroying a whole town or something of that nature. This was more serious and Integra fought not to let her nervousness show as she drove with Walter and several of her best men to the location of Alucard's last mission.
Integra reached into her pocket for her cigars and pulled one out, tucking it between her lips. "I swear, if I find him just sitting somewhere ignoring me, I'll rain hell down on him."
"I'm sure there's an explanation for his absence," Walter said, glancing at her in the rearview mirror. "I'm sure Alucard is aware of how foolish it would be to test your patience."
Integra flicked on her lighter and inhaled as she lit her cigar. "I would hope that he does," she muttered.
But honestly, she genuinely hoped that this was just a case of the vampire being defiant, because she did not want to think about what could have possibly kept him away against his will. If that was the case, and he had somehow been detained by another party, then they had a lot more to worry about than a petulant vampire king.
XXX
It was a seemingly unassuming location but one where suspicious activity had been taking place, leading Integra to initially send Alucard to investigate. What they found when they arrived at the old manor house was silence—too much silence—and yet she could instinctively tell that Alucard was close. His bond to her allowed for that, but it did not feel as tangible as it usually did and that only worried her further. Integra commanded her men to spread out and search the premises as she took Walter with her to search the bowels of the manor.
"I don't like this, Walter," she muttered to him.
"I agree that something does not feel right, Sir Integra," he commented. "Perhaps we should take more precaution…"
Master….Integra….
Integra suddenly stopped as the phantom voice barely whispered in the back of her mind. "Walter," she called and turned down a hallway, heading deeper into the house. There was a locked room at the end of the hall and Integra wasted no time in pulling her pistol and shooting her way in. She shouldered the door aside and stepped into the room, squinting in the sudden bright light after the dim interior of the house, the cause being a giant skylight that currently had the sun pouring in through it.
And below, in the pool of light, lay Alucard.
"Alucard!" Integra rushed over, horror clenching in her chest as she took in the vampire.
He had been stripped to the waist and bound to a table with warded restraints. On top of that, sigils had been carved into his flesh, and multiple silver stakes had been driven through his body, pinning him at the shoulders, ankles, hands, and two through his sides. Integra wasn't sure of the sigils exact function but it was obvious they were binding his powers in some way. He looked horrific, skin burned and blistered by the sun he had been unable to escape for—what? Two-three days, now?
"My God," Integra muttered, already yanking her overcoat off to try and cover his body, using herself to block the sun from his face as she leaned over him. "Walter, call the others in here now."
She could hear the butler on the radio, as she reached down and carefully lifted Alucard's lolling head.
"Alucard, can you hear me?" she called, digging her nails into his jaw. "Answer me, Alucard—that is an order!"
He was unnervingly silent. Integra ground her teeth, hiding her concern with fury. "You better not be playing around, Alucard," she growled out, but was already pulling her glove off with her teeth, biting into her finger until it bled. She lowered the drop of blood to his split and chapped lips, running her finger carefully across them.
"Come now, Alucard. I won't give you any more until you wake up."
Relief washed through her as she watched his lips part slightly, a tongue that sounded as dry as sandpaper darted out to gather the blood from his lips. Eyes fluttered, revealing a familiar crimson light.
"My master…" Alucard whispered.
"That's better," Integra said, fighting to keep the relief from her voice. "What in God's name happened to you?"
A strangled chuckle escaped the vampire's throat. "What indeed?"
The other Hellsing men hurried into the room and Integra shifted around to the head of the table, still shielding Alucard's head with her shadow. "Get him off of this thing now!"
The men swarmed around the table, working at the restraints as Integra bent over Alucard.
"Who was it? Are they still here?"
"No," the vampire whispered. "They've left me to my own devices for the time being. They knew they could not take me at my full power." A slight cough escaped his throat and Integra watched as blood spattered his lips. Likely a result from the silver stakes stuck through him.
She lowered her voice. "How bad are you right now? Do not lie."
A soft chuckle as his eyes flickered open briefly to look at her. "Concerned for me, master? I'm flattered."
"You are an asset I cannot afford to lose," Integra snapped, annoyed by the smirk that turned up his bloody mouth. "So, will you recover?"
"I will need…some time," he said and sounded so tired, so much more tired than she thought she had ever heard him before. Integra could not help the well of worry that settled into her gut.
Alucard flinched with a gasp as one of the men began to pull the stakes from his body.
"Careful!" Integra snapped before she could stop herself.
Another chuckle, wet this time, hissed from his throat. "You are worried about me. How sweet, my Master Integra."
"Shut up and reserve what strength you have left," Integra snapped, fighting the annoyed flush that wanted to spread over her face. Ignoring the terror that consumed her at the thought of losing Alucard, especially to some unknown enemy.
His eyes slid shut, actually seeming to obey her, though he trembled as they finally finished freeing him, betraying his weakness at the moment.
"Walter," Integra called and the butler came to her side instantly. "Help me get him up. Can you stand, Alucard?"
"I will do my best, Master Integra."
She and Walter each took an arm and lifted him up off the table. "Quickly, give him your coats," she snapped at the men.
Several of them peeled off their coats, wrapping them around Alucard's exposed skin and covering his head. It was a slow walk out to the cars, Alucard leaning heavily against Integra and Walter's shoulders. This close, she could feel the tenseness in his body, hear every nearly silent hiss of pain as he moved. His bare feet left bloody footprints behind and Integra realized they had also carved sigils into the soles of his feet. Still, she knew offering to have the men carry him would only wound Alucard's pride. He would recover in time. He always did. She had no reason to worry.
He seemed impossibly weak by the time they got back to the car, slumping into the backseat with a cut off sigh of relief. The car was equipped with well-tinted windows specifically so that Alucard could ride in it comfortably during the day if need be, but he still stayed bundled in the various coats, slumped against the seats, head hanging toward his chest.
Integra turned to her men. "Stay and investigate. I want to know who did this," she said before turning to Walter. "Let's go, Walter."
The butler nodded and Integra climbed into the backseat next to Alucard.
As the car started, the injured vampire lolled his head toward her, eyes opening briefly, peeking out from behind tangled hair.
Integra finally allowed herself to reach for another cigar, lighting it and waiting for the smoke to fill her lungs, calming her.
"Master Integra?" Alucard rasped and the woman raised an eyebrow at him. "Would it be…too bold to ask for a donation of blood?"
Integra plucked the cigar from her lips. "Did I not already give you some?"
A sigh. "It will take…much more than that for me to heal. These sigils…even now they're binding my strength. If I cannot heal them, then I cannot heal the rest of me."
Integra glanced up at him, wondering what else had been done to the vampire during his captivity. He was hunched toward her, head very nearly resting on her shoulder, eyes practically begging. She refused to conjure the image of a begging puppy, and normally she would have told him to sod off, but she had never seen him injured this badly before. He was actually…hurting…and that didn't sit well with her at all.
She took another long draw from the cigar before she stubbed it out and started to roll up her sleeve.
"Very well, but just this once, mind you," she said. "I will not tolerate you getting any ideas that you can ask for more than a drop of my blood any time you wish."
"Of course not, Master," Alucard said quietly, a small smile gracing his lips. "Your generosity is much appreciated."
Integra grunted and pulled a knife from her pocket, bringing it to her forearm. She cut a thin line through her flesh and watched Alucard's eyes fix on the red line of beaded blood, nostrils flaring.
"There, come drink. But only what you need, understand?"
Alucard slumped limply, cheek propped against her arm just like a loyal dog. Integra's eyebrows knitted together with brief annoyance at his boldness, but she did not scold him, simply pressed the arm she had cut to his mouth and allowed him to drink from her veins. He brought one bloody hand up to cradle her wrist in a gentle way as if she were a delicate thing he was scared to break.
His eyes slid shut as he drank, his wounded body relaxing into the seats.
Integra leaned back, watching him intently as his tongue worked against her wound. He was careful not to let his fangs catch on her skin and she realized that he must be exercising an impossible amount of restraint right now so as not to simply drain her in one go.
Something fluttering very close to affection made its way through Integra and she brought her free hand up to rest against the soft, dark locks, unable to resist running her fingers through them.
"Alucard, when we get back, I want you to rest for as long as it takes you to heal," she said decisively.
He stopped drinking her blood and turned to look up at her with some surprise. "But, Master, surely I am needed with this new threat."
"Providing what information you can will be enough, I cannot risk letting them take you again," Integra told him, fingers tightening against the back of his skull to make sure he got her meaning. "I don't take kindly to those who try to take what belongs to me. Your orders are simply to rest up and heal. You will be no good to me in such a weakened state."
A small smile, perhaps more grateful than anything, spread across his lips this time, and Alucard pulled Integra's hand to his lips, kissing it. "As my master wishes."
Integra nodded firmly, her other hand subconsciously stroking his hair once before she allowed him to go back to feeding, already planning the hell she would rain down on anyone who dared assume they could take the vampire from her.
Winter Whumperland 01: Returning Nightmares
This is me, trying out AMOW's Winter Whumperland Challenge.
Fandom: Castlevania (Netflix)
Characters: Adrian, Trevor, Marie (Trevor and Sypha's child)
Genre: Whump with some Fluff
Length: 958 words
Ao3 Link
Tumblr media
He had not been there, when his mother had been killed and yet in his dreams he so often was. Standing there, among a crowd, seeing her burn, the fire first blistering her skin, burning her hair and searing away that simple linen dress, before gnawing on her flesh. She would scream much longer than he knew people to scream during burnings like that. It was not the worst part about it, though. The worst part was, that he could only stand there and watch, himself unable to move, unable to stop them, unable to save her. He would just watch, utterly paralyzed with it.
At times he would wake at this point, but he did not this time. Instead, once more seeing his father arriving at the castle. He heard himself speak those words once more: “I will grieve with you, but I won't let you commit genocide.” As his father turned, the man Adrian had known for his entire life was gone. There was no loving father anymore, no man who would look at him with pride. There was only burning rage and a cold, cold hatred. As Adrian drew his sword, his father was already there, punching him, throwing him to the ground. And Adrian's heart was faltering. He knew he should command his sword to defend him, should get back up, but as he looked in this face that had been there for his entire life he could not. He screamed, when his father's claws buried themselves into his chest, when he realized that his father really was going to kill him.
It was this pain, that woke him. He opened his eyes, trembling. Sweat covered his face, even though it was a fairly chilly night. He took a few deep breaths, once his mind finally returned to the presence. It had been almost seven years ago. His father was dead. He had survived. He had a family of his own by now. Two wonderful humans sleeping by his side. A young child in a crib.
Rain was splattering against the window, as it was a stormy autumn night.
He had forgotten about one person sharing the bed tonight. “Papi?”
As he turned to the side he found Marie, who had been sleeping between Trevor and him. Right. As so often during nights like this, she had been unable to sleep, awoken by the thunderstorm earlier this night, fleeing to her parents’ bed.
“Everything is fine, sweetheart,” he whispered. He laid down again, turning to her. Softly he caressed her rosy cheeks. “I just had a bad dream.”
The six-year-old looked at him with a serious gaze. “I know bad dreams,” she said, as if he did not know it. After all bad dreams were the second most common reason for her to flee to their bed. He smiled softly.
“I know.”
“Do you want to talk about it?” she offered seriously, just as they would often offer it to her.
Mirroring his gesture, her little hands carefully put a strand of his hair behind his pointy ears.
He hesitated. She was still too young to hear about what had happened before she was born. She did not need to know more than she did already about the time his father tried to extinguish humanity from the face of the planet. Neither did she need to know that his mother had been burned as a witch. She knew that something bad had happened, of course. There were enough other children and youngsters in the village who had lost family to Dracula's attack. But she had never learned that the mad vampire king was her own grandfather. At least in spirit.
“I dreamt of the time my mother died,” he hence replied, not elaborating. “That's all.”
She took that in, her expression still ridiculously serious. “You miss her, right?”
“Yes, of course I do.”
“I am sure that one day you will see her again,” she then decided with a smile, her hand now resting on his cheek.
He chuckled. Ah, maybe she was right of course. He supposed that even though he was immortal there would come a day when he would die as well. Killed in battle, probably. At some point even he would die. “You are probably right.”
There was a grunt behind Marie, as Trevor opened his eyes. “What are you two talking about in the middle of the bloody night?”
“Papi had had a nightmare,” Marie replied.
“Had he now?” Trevor looked at Adrian questioningly. There was instant worry in his gaze, making Adrian sigh.
“It's alright,” he replied. “I am alright.”
Trevor sighed, doing just the same as his daughter had before: Combing some loose hairs from Adrian's face behind his ear. “Tell me if it isn't, okay?”
“You know I will.” Careful to not squish Marie between the two of them, he leaned his forehead against Trevor's, for a moment just soaking in this familiar touch. The closeness. He was not alone. Even with his parents gone, he wasn't alone.
Being held by this man was always a balm on his soul. And somehow Sypha was still sleeping to all of this – as was little Simon.
Marie was the first one to yawn again. She closed her eyes, cuddling up to Adrian as she did. “Wake me, if you have another nightmare, will you, papi?”
“Of course I will,” he whispered, putting one arm around her.
He looked at Trevor once more, who smiled at him. Because despite everything… Things had turned out alright. The nightmares might never go away, just as those other little things and insecurities would stay. But he was alright. He had a family, people that loved him. He was going to be alright.
Whumptober2022 Day 29: What Doesn't Kill Me...
Sleep, at this point, was the enemy. Alucard had to do everything he could to stay awake, or he would risk losing Trevor.  Trevor, the idiot, who had switched their poisoned glasses to prevent a priest from killing Alucard, not knowing that the vampire was immune to poison anyways. By God, he was an idiot most days. Still, idiot or no, Alucard had to make sure he lived to see tomorrow. If he didn’t Sypha would make sure he joined him the grave.
Alucard could feel himself nodding off, it had been over 24 hours since he had managed a bit of sleep, and his body was starting to shut down. Many people didn’t think that he even needed sleep, but his mother’s human blood still ran through his veins, and that gave him certain weaknesses. Weaknesses like the floaty feeling attempting to drag him under, pull him into the comforting current of dreams that would feel so, so nice right now. So nice….
“No!” Alucard shouted aloud, startling out of his near doze. Trevor started alongside him, jumping from his own nap.
“Jesus, you scared me.” he said, before delving into another coughing fit. He tried to hide it, but Alucard could see the blood that came up when Trevor retched into his cloth. He wasn’t getting any better.
Sypha had gone to the next town over to get medicines, but it was a day’s ride on horseback and she wouldn’t return until tomorrow night. Trevor had to stay alive until then.
“Apologies, Belmont.” Alucard said, pouring himself another drink and resettling in his chair. “Just a bit drowsy is all.  You should go back to your rest.” He looked over Trevor’s body, shivering and pale despite the summer heat.  He had truly never seen the man look worse. The muscles in his limbs were deteriorating by the minute, it seemed, and every breath was gasping and raspy. His eyes were glassy, distant, as though Trevor could see something far away that Alucard couldn’t.
He was sure he didn’t look much better. The bags under his eyes and the sallowness of his skin were almost certainly enhanced by his lack of sleep, and he could only imagine how disheveled and distraught he must look.  He had yanked at his hair and paced for hours the first night, all to keep himself awake, and he had gotten to the point where slapping himself in the face was the only thing that helped. Now, he had turned to drink, taking hits of spicy, peppery infused whiskey from the cupboard in an effort to shock his system.  Nothing, really, was helping. Trevor, it seemed, would die whether Alucard was awake or not, and there wasn’t much he could do about it. Still he refused to let Trevor die alone, and so he stayed awake.
“You look a mess, you know.” Trevor said, his voice weak. Alucard laughed.
“And you look like death. Why did you have to take the damn drink, Belmont? I knew the cup was poisoned, and I knew it would barely make me sick.”
“Meh. It was a spur of the moment decision. Better me than you I figured.” He said, trying to sit up. As he did, he wheezed, and Alucard laid him back down.
“Sypha will be back soon.” he lied. “Just…just go to sleep. You’ll be just fine.” Trevor nodded, and did as he was told, laying back down in the plush bed. Alucard sighed, and leaned back. He took another swig of the spiced booze, but it did nothing. All he could do was pray that God didn’t hate him enough to take Trevor away from him, too.
Fic Requests OPEN! (July 11th 2023)
Hi all! I've already got about 50 requests around in my inbox (headcanons, moodboards, and art) but I'm having a lot of fun just picking and choosing what I feel like doing, so I've decided I'll open up fanfiction and headcanon requests as well to make it even more wide open!
Tumblr media
Just a few things to mention:
1- please make sure you're requesting from my list of fandoms (or something I've previously talked about before, like V for Vendetta or Black Butler) (there's also no harm in asking if I know a book/fandom I haven't already mentioned, just don't dive into a request without double-checking I can actually write it!)
2- I will not be doing all of the requests! I will do as many as I can, but I don't always have energy or inspiration for every request! Please be nice about this, I promise I'm doing my best!
3- I'm also not going to do them in order because I'm jiving on the chaos :P
4- I'm going to make two little quirky options to help requests get filled if my inspiration is running thin!
If you would prefer to get a little drabble than nothing at all, send a ☂️ emoji with your request! I'll still try to write it but if I run out of energy, I'll write it more casually (and you can still resend it when requests open again in the future).
If you're okay with me fiddling with the request (ie. setting it in an AU or something), send a 🪶 emoji! Sometimes when a request is very simple, it makes me get stuck, so I might add in new elements or prompts to get me started.
5- If you're not sure what to request I've put a special little list under the 'read more' of fics I'd really like to write, but I have so many and I love doing requests, so I probably won't write them unless someone else wants to read it! So if you like any of these prompts please send them my way (and feel free to suggest any additional elements you'd like to see in them!)
Please don't limit yourself to those at all: I'm constantly excited by the new ideas that people throw my way!!
Fanfics I'd really love to write:
More Calvin and Hobbes content
regressors!Trevor and Alucard being chaos gremlins
L regressing while chained to Light (or vice versa)
A regressor stumbling into Halloweentown
regressor!JD with cg!Veronica
regressor!Jon and Michael
caregiver!Skulduggery with regressor!Valkyrie
regressor!Dean whump/hurtcomfort fic
regressor!Bella joining the Cullens' regression time
Dave regressing at home and trying to avoid Bro
John taking care of Vriska
regressor!Natasha with Pierre and Helene
deaged/regressor!Shigaraki with caregiver!reader (this would have ~5 chapters in all, I have a plot ready)
I like how Samus can't have breasts bigger than a b cup, or a somewhat pretty face or even a stupid mole without r/metroid pulling a hissy fit, yet NFCV can have titties the dhampir, BDSM-lady and Asstec the sex-man. Not to mention Hector and Lenore and most fans just eat it up and want more of it
Hector's fetishy treatment alone steamrolls over Other M's Samus' fetishization in terms of how bad and blatant it was
You will never convince me that it's not a combination of sexism and extreme bias towards NFCV, whether it's because it's a Western adaptation that Fleshes Out The Stupid Games, or because it's just NFCV and at this point we start from the point "it's perfect" and work backwards from here.
Yeah, I don't like this logic, but that's what it looks like!
Alucard's tittification and Orlox's "imma fuck you" expression piss me off. I'm the target audience! I'm supposed to thirst and drool over the most generic fanservice ever and ignore how OOC it is! Sorry guys, you can give Alucard the most cheesegrater-like abs ever, I'm not forgetting how much of a bitch he was in S2!
Hector too! While the appeal of BDSM vampire step on me mommy is more of a thing for people attracted to women I think, I see how female fans treat show Hector (men seem to mostly joke about him being a simp which is also incorrect), and it's so fucking blatant that his appeal is being the cutest saddest wettest kitten ever. You're not rooting for a character, you're crying for the chew toy with 🥺 eyes and (allegedly) pretty hair. And in the meantime thirsting and drooling over his naked body as he gets abused - and look, in fanfiction you can have a fetish for whump and everything you like, but it's not supposed to be canon professional writing!
After all. Same thing happened to Richter as soon as the first trailer dropped. He's a pretty crying boy, and that's enough.
Oh, but don't forget Dracula too! He's hot! He's very hot when he goes to slaughter innocent villagers to bathe in their blood with an orgasmic expression! So everything he does is justified and he's just a poor babyboy as well!
I feel manipulated, and not in a clever way either. Like my opinions on the writing can be swayed because hey gurrrrrrrrl, how bout some thick tiddies 👀
The Metroid games don't do this. Even OM, as awful as it is, as inappropriately it shoves Samus' ass in some scenes, as terribly disrespectful and sexist it is against one of the most beloved female videogame protagonists of all time... I never got the feeling that her tits and ass were being dangled like keys in front of me in the hopes that the horny overrode my logical thinking. That's what NFCV does. Whether it's with the cool fighting scenes, or the long pseudo-deep filibusters, or pretty boys hurting, the show hides behind all sorts of fanservice and gets away with appalling writing, both quality-wise and moral-wise.
OKAY HEAR ME OUT
(Castlevania spoilers btw, dont read if you havent finished the series yet.)
So, we all know Sumi and Taka that tried to kill Alucard right? Using two daggers and silver wires, stuff like that, rightttt??? After that, the silver made burn marks all over his body, RIGHTT???
And at the final episode we see Dracula and Lisa talking about visitng their son someday, RIGHT?
Dracula said that they will go and visit Alucard someday, just not know, so like...
What if, when they reunited with Alucard, and imagine Alucard just rushes with sobbing tears (and trips multiple times because of the many tears his watery eyes are pouring out:(.) And IMMEDIATELY Hugs both of them and cries harder.
Hes like, relieved that they are there, and he's not alone anymore.
After that, a few reashuring things here few reashurring things there,
Dracula notices the burnmarks.
Let the whump and the angst from fanfiction writers begin. >:D
While watching Castlevania, I thought Alucard’s emotional whump and the revenge he was going to take, would be the main whump we’d get— BOY WAS A WRONG WHEN HECTOR DECIDED TO SHOW UP AND TAKE OVER THE SHOW AND GET ABSOLUTELY DESTROYED IN THE PROCESS 🙇🏻🙇🏻🙇🏻
Whumptober Day 28 - "Single Shot" (Hellsing)
Final Hellsing fic for today's @whumptober
~~~~~~~
Prompts Used: Sacrifice, 'you'll have to go through me' Fandom: Hellsing Character: Alucard
~~~~~~~
Read on Ao3
Read on FF.net
~~~~~~~
Integra was bloody tired of tangling with Iscariot. The job of the Hellsing organization was to take down vampires and the supernatural, not go up against others with the same intention. But when they continued to insist on getting in the way of Hellsing investigations, with the intent on taking out her own operatives—well, one in particular—Integra was very much not amused.
The fight had gotten desperate and messy quick. Hellsing was now fighting against both the nest of vampires and ghouls that had taken over the property, and Iscariot, headed by none other than the insufferable Alexander Anderson.
"I see ye, you beast!" the hunter called through the fray, focusing on Alucard who was fighting at Integra's back in the upper hall at the head of the stairs. "I've got a new toy to test out and you'll be the first to feel it's bite."
"He's intent on making trouble," Alucard said, not bothering to mask his delighted grin. "Shall I go take care of him, Master Integra?"
"Keep to your duty and finish up the stragglers first," Integra growled. "If he's so eager he can come to you."
Alucard grimaced in annoyance, but Integra didn't care. He could be kept on a tighter leash.
"I'm waiting, you blood-sucking heathen!" Anderson shouted. "What, are ye too feared to face me again?"
"I am merely following my master's orders," Alucard sneered down at him.
"Ah, like a good little puppy then," Anderson chuckled. "It suits you. The loyal attack dog whos master has told it to heel. Tell me, Lady Hellsing, what happens if the leash is tugged out of your hands?"
"You wouldn't want to know," Integra snapped down at him.
Anderson grinned manically, heaving something that looked like a heavy crossbow up onto his shoulder. "Wouldn't I? We'll see."
Some signal passed to his men and two of them suddenly raised their guns upward, trained on Integra just as she brought her sword up to fend off a ghoul.
Alucard whipped around. "Integra!"
The shots rang out at the same instant Integra felt Alucard grab her, spinning her to take the bullets in his shoulder.
At the same time, a heavy twang sounded out and Alucard jerked with the sound of a dull impact, gasping.
"Bullseye," Anderson breathed.
Alucard staggered against the railing at the top of the stairs, breaking through it and falling. Integra gave a sharp cry as she fell with him, his arms still locked tightly around her without him seeming to realize. But as they tumbled, Alucard was able to shift in midair so that he landed on his back, clutching her against him protectively. Integra bashed one knee and dropped her sword but was otherwise okay, if not winded.
She lay there on top of Alucard for a moment, catching her breath, expecting the vampire to get up and rush into the fight.
But he didn't. Integra started to push herself up with a grunt. "Alucard, you can take him down now," she growled, wiping blood off her lip from where she must have bitten it in the fall.
He was silent. She finally looked down at him. Alucard's eyes were closed, sunglasses dislodged in the fall, lying cracked to one side. He was so still, it was unnerving. Her glove was wet where she had pressed it to the ground and she pulled it back turning her hand palm upward to see it covered in blood. Alucard's arms, which had still been wrapped loosely around her slid limply to either side as she rolled completely off of him.
"Alucard!"
Horror overcame her at the sight of what looked to be a spear piercing through Alucard's body nearly horizontally. Entering through his lower back, the tip barely exiting above his right hip, glistening with blood.
Anderson was chuckling as Integra spun to glower at him. "Well, looks like that worked even better than I had hoped. The tip of the arrow was made from the spear of Longinus and blessed by the Pope himself. Powerful enough to fatally wound a vampire even of your pet's strength."
"You bastard," Integra snarled before turning back to Alucard and gripping his coat, shaking him slightly before slapping him across the face. "Alucard! Wake up, that is an order!"
Alucard jolted and coughed. "In…tegra, I'm…here." He coughed again, and this time choked up some blood that dribbled from between his lips.
"Can you get up?" she asked quietly.
Alucard shifted slightly, after if struggling under a heavy weight, but cringed and went limp on the floor again. "I…it appears that…I am unable to…move…" he said, voice strained. "This fell weapon…has some power…over me."
Integra pressed her lips together, trying to decide what to do.
"A sorry sight indeed," Anderson said with a mocking croon as he drew two of his bayonets and started forward. "Shall I put the beast out of its misery?"
Alucard snarled under his breath, baring bloody teeth.
Integra snatched her sword up and pushed herself to her feet, standing over the injured vampire. "If you want him, you'll have to go through me," she said firmly.
Anderson grinned, forming his blades into the shape of a cross as he advanced. "Go right ahead."
Integra whipped her pistol out as well, getting off several shots, which hit the hunter, but didn't seem to faze him at all. He lunged and Integra brought her sword up, catching his blades firmly before disengaging and stabbing out at him.
It was a vicious exchange of blows, until Anderson caught Integra in the face with the hilt of one of his blades, causing her to reel back, stumbling to the ground. She brought her gun up again and shot him in the knee, staggering him slightly. But no matter what she did, he kept coming, grinning wickedly.
"Perhaps one day we'll meet in Heaven," Anderson mocked as he raised his blades.
"I highly doubt that," Integra muttered, as she lashed out and slashed the back of his leg with her sword.
Anderson cried out and at that moment, the backup Hellsing agents rushed in, the other Iscariots coming it on the opposite side at the same time.
"Sir Integra!" one of the Hellsing men called.
"Open fire," Integra snarled.
The Iscariots rushed forward to retrieve the bleeding Anderson, making a retreat, quite outnumbered at the moment.
Integra sheathed her sword and hurried back toward Alucard who was still shifting slightly, as if trying to get up.
"Are all the vampires and ghouls terminated?" Integra called to her men.
"Yes, Sir Integra," one answered.
She knelt beside Alucard and his eyes fluttered open, looking up at her.
"What a kind gesture to protect me, master," he smirked.
Integra frowned. "Don't talk." She snapped her fingers at two of the men. "Help me get this out of him."
The soldiers came over and assessed the situation, paling. It wasn't often that they had to perform first aid on Alucard. He could usually heal himself. This seemed different somehow and it did not sit well with Integra.
"We'll have to break this off to get it out of him," one of the men said.
She pressed her lips together, and turned to Alucard. "You'll make it, I assume?"
Alucard let out a tired breath. "I would dare not die without your order to do so, my master."
Integra clicked her tongue in annoyance but nodded.
She watched two of the men crouch on either side of the vampire, cutting his clothing open around the spear. They nodded to each other and gave Alucard a warning before one of the men pulled out a blade and used the hilt to slam into the spear just below the head.
It snapped and Alucard gave a sharp cry, Integra wincing along with him.
"Get it out of him," she told them men.
They rolled Alucard onto his side and pulled the spear haft out of his body.
Alucard let out a shuddering groan that soon became a strangled cry of agony as the haft revealed spikes driven through it, doing their best to rip his apart from the inside out.
Integra hurried forward as Alucard fell limply on the floor, panting once the spear was completely removed.
"Alucard?" she demanded. "Are you able to heal yourself?"
He didn't reply, just continued bleeding on the ground, some more blood dripping from between his lips.
"Get him into one of the vans and patch him up," Integra snapped.
Once the men were gone, Integra knelt and pressed one hand to Alucard's face, propping his head up. "Do not leave me, Alucard," she said firmly. "That is an order."
She watched silently as her men loaded Alucard onto a stretcher and carried him out to the van. She didn't want to admit to how terrified she had felt when he had been unresponsive. She'd never seen him this injured before and it was…unnerving to say the least.
By the time they got back, Alucard had been bandaged and laid in his coffin to rest. Integra had blood ready for him when he woke, knowing he would need it.
She then kept her own vigil at his side, reading through the day until the vampire finally started to stir by evening.
"Back with the land of the living, then?" Integra asked blandly as she saw his eyes flutter open.
Alucard's gaze landed on her. "I'm afraid it's been a long time since I've been living, Integra."
She closed the book she had been reading and got up, walking over to crouch by his coffin. "How are you then?"
His hand went to his bandaged middle, testing. "I will recover. But I'll admit, that caught me by surprise."
"I've never seen you that hurt before," Integra commented.
Alucard smiled cheekily up at her. "Was my master truly worried?" Integra frowned at him, but he continued, face softening. "I'll admit it was a bit embarrassing for you to be the one to protect me…but I am very grateful for your bravery and devotion, Integra."
Integra glowered at him briefly. "You are an asset I cannot afford to lose."
"Of course, master."
"That being said," She reached for one of the bags of blood and handed it to him. "I am glad to see you on your way to recovery. Do not scare me like that again, Alucard."
He took the blood from her and caught her hand, pressing it briefly to his lips. "I will attempt not to, my master Integra."

I really really do love Alucard and I would be lying if I didn't say he's good looking, or that his grief is an integral part of his character
However the way Netflixvania both objectifies him and also repeatedly traumatizes him is just... It's not good! It feels like a whump fic you'd find on fanfic dot net where the author drags the main character through endless suffering because he's their favorite and uwu breaking down your favs... making them suffer and cry... but NO it is a fully produced and animated Netflix Show.

Whumpuary 04: The Broken Prince
Here is the 4th entry for @whumpuary
As I took the prompt Betrayel I... kinda had to go for this scene. Other than my other whumpuary stories, this one takes place during canon, specifically right after season 3 episode 9. Which of course comes with the CW: Mention of canonical rape.
