Cyno had not anticipated anything special out of this trip to the forest. He was going only to see Tighnari- who had excitedly informed him of a new discovery made deep into the forest watcher’s patrolling area. The look on his friend’s face, combined with the eager swishing of his tail behind him, was more than enough convincing to get the mahamntra to venture into the greenery.
It’s quiet as he pads along the roughly and hastily made trail, leaving him with his own thoughts- excitement to see tighnari again, listen to him ramble on about whatever he had found, a slight apprehension at the possibility of this being dangerous- not that either of them could not hold their own, but tighnari was often so eager to research that he did not stop to think about any possible consequences to himself, and he hated seeing him in pain. Muddled in with these feelings, a slight but sudden itch in the back of his nose. He presses a knuckle against the side of it absentmindedly, just as a pair of ears perking up quickly catches his attention.
“You made it!” Tighnari calls out to him, tredging through ankle-deep tangles of weeds to meet him. There’s a smudge of dirt on his cheek, and a tangle in his usual well-kept tail. As Cyno nods his greeting, he cannot help but wonder how long he’s been out here. The other seems to be aware of it, occasionally flicking the appendage about in absent-minded frustration.
Tighnari leads him further into the forest, happily rambling on about the things they pass by and what his research has granted so far. Cyno can’t get himself to focus, the itch in his sinus suddenly alight, forcing his breath to hitch just once before calming again. He can almost feel Tighnari’s concerned frown, but he decides to keep quiet about it for now, to Cyno’s gratitude.
Suddenly, he’s stopped. Tighnari moves to the side, looking at Cyno with pride clear in his eyes. He’s meet with the sight of a large, blooming flower, encased in golden vines that seem almost-conscious, twitching at any movement around them. “I haven’t been able to touch it yet, and my elemental attacks have no effect. That’s why I brought you out here, I was hoping maybe electrical- Cyno?” His ramblings cease as he catches sight of him, hands cupped loosely in front of his face, usually serious expression crumpled into one of desperation as he fights off the need uselessly, breath stuttering until he can no longer fight it.
‘hEh-itSH! ‘tShi! hiH-” The third one is lost, leaving him sniffling, trying to rub the irritation out of his sinuses. “Archons, bless you! Are you feeling alright?” Cyno sniffles uselessly again, trying to will some of the congestion out of his voice before he speaks.
“I’m fine. You can romaine calm.” Tighnari groans in response. “You must be, if you’ve got the energy to make jokes. Anyways, can you try to hit ones of the vines with your elemental attack? Be gentle, please, and don’t damage the plant itself.” Cyno nods, saluting in a ‘yes sir’ gesture, as he prepares to follow instructions. He presses the back of his hand to his nose, scrunching up the appendage as he aims carefully. But he was unable to fight against his body and control it at once, sent foreward with another flurry of sneezes the moment he releases the energy, causing it to be sent foreward towards the flower. It’s reaction was instant, sending out a shower of pollen before curling into a ball, vines wound around it tightly. Cyno faintly hears a noise of frustration come from Tighnari, but he can’t focus, paralyzed with the awful tickle that came as the pollen surrounded him. He was in the direct line of fire, and he felt it, nostrils feeling alight as his eyes watered, he couldn’t even fight it, thrown into a desperate fit.
“haH’TSCHhi- KSHhiew! hih- hidT’SHHih! ‘idtSHhiew- sCHih!” They tore at his throat, raw and painful as his body tried desperately to release all of the pollen. He felt almost embarrassed, unable to do anything as Tighnari watched helplessly. “tignarihHh-tSHhi!” Even just his name seemed to break his stupor, the fox-tailed man rushing over and grabbing Cyno’s arm, bringing him somewhere- he could not even keep his eyes open long enough to tell, the lower half of his face buried in an arm he threw up to avoid spraying the other. He felt himself be gently led into a sitting position, half aware of the sun now beaming down on them.
His breath caught, leaving him helpless into a rough fit of coughing that didn’t seem to let him. He felt Tighnari’s hand on his back, rubbing comforting circles as he whispered encouraging phrases until the coughing finally let up. He leaned back against Tighnari, unable to resist the need to catch his breath. His face was wet with tears, nose running onto his upper lip. He roughly cleaned it up with the back of his wrist.
“There you go, you’re okay. Any trouble breathing?” Came the soft voice next to Cyno, reminding him suddenly of his blunder. Tighnari had been so eager to research, and he had messed it up. Guilt shot through him. “Sorry, ‘nari.” He pawed at his nose again while he spoke.
“It’s alright. I can bring somebody else another day.” Tighnari soothed, hands beginning to card through the others' hair. “Right now, we need to get you cleaned up. The pollen on your clothes won’t do you any good.” he stood quickly, reaching out a hand to Cyno, but he was distracted with the need to sneeze once again, raising a shaky hand in warning.
“hIh’tSChih!i’tsCHuh!” He sniffled once more as Tighnari waited patiently, before taking the hand offered to him, letting himself be pulled onto his feet.
“Hey, ‘Nari?” The forest watcher turned back to face him, “What is it?” “I’m very frond of you.” Tighnari huffed, turning back around and beginning to stalk off, stopping only a few paces in front of him. “I love you, too, Cyno.” Mahamatra grinned, catching up to his partner as they began the trek home, punctuated with the occasional sneezes.

Tarot Card Drabbles (assorted pairings, 7.8k, varied ratings)
"hey, i was thinking maybe i'll write some drabbles based on tarot cards, just for fun?" — me, feeling like this was a good idea all the way back in march. reader: it took ten whole months to write 78 bloody drabbles. it was not a good idea.
BUT I DID IT ANYWAY! originally i was going to save this post for tomorrow because i only posted the last drabble this morning, but i quite like the idea that i can leave this in 2022. i will not subject you to more talk about how hard this project was. i don't need to do that, you don't want that, so instead i am going to give you some stats! because they're fun!
this series took 272 days to complete,
the pairings that kept popping up were my trusty drarry (26 drabbles), my first-love wolfstar (6) and my newly found obsession jegulus (5),
in terms of most loved characters, there were 11 pairings featuring harry outside of the drarry ones mentioned above, and 7 featuring draco! there were also 7 featuring regulus outside of the jegulus drabbles,
for this series i wrote 28 pairings i had never written before,
54 of the drabbles were lightning era, 18 marauders era, and 6 were next gen,
i wrote 2 gen drabbles, 58 m/m, 5 f/f, 4 f/m, 10 multi and 1 other (other meaning that one sorting hat/sword of gryffindor drabble),
rating wise 55 of the drabbles were rated teen and up, and 23 mature/explicit,
and when it came to genres 45 were soft/funny/fluffy, 16 were angsty/sad/open ended, and 17 were pure smut,
finally, 43 out of a total of 78 were prompted by lovely people here on tumblr which i'm still massively grateful for :')
i won't be putting these on ao3 because the formatting and the tagging would be a nightmare and i don't fancy doing it as 78 separate works but you can find them under their own little tag ✨

Of course!! Reqs are still open to anybody btw!! I know I'm slow but I love doing them! I'm also playing around with formatting a bit so excuse any inconsistencies for a bit until I figure out what I like best
Alhaitham + Tighnari snz hc's for anon :]
Tighnari
✦Definitely rapid fits of around 3-4 usually
✦ I don't think he's really the type to stifle unless he needs to be quiet. He's more of the type to let bodily functions like that happen (and lecture about the harmful effects of stifling)
✦ No allergies, but a huge sensitivity to spices. Even just being near them is enough to make him sneeze
✦ Usually wears a mask when working with spices to keep himself together
✦ The sneezes themselves are wet and itchy. Sneezes either into his elbow or the back of his wrist
✦ Scrunches up his nose when it's itchy. You can also tell because his ears will get twitchy
✦ He'll make sure to work a bit while he's unwell, but also makes sure he rests. Not opposed to caretaking but definitely leans more towards solitude as to not be a bother
Alhaitham
✧ Singles or doubles
✧ Around medium volume, tends not to stifle but they're very harsh when he does.
✧ Mild dust allergy. Unless he's bothered by something else, he'll usually get away with a runny nose and a couple odd sneezes.
✧ Usually into his elbow, but he'll sneeze openly or into his lap at home
✧ Definitely tries to work through any illness. The feeble scholar has little time for rest (Or so he thinks)
✧ Prone to slight fevers and migraines, especially when stressed
✧ Gets a bit whiny and clingy if he's feeling extra bad
✧ Very little buildup, sneezes tend to come out of nowhere and startle those around him a bit (especially Kaveh, who tends to start a fight over it)
✧ Tends to run a bit cold, and it multiplies when he's ill. He'll bundle up under 3 blankets and still complain that he's freezing.
✧ If he stops (is forced to) working, he tries to just sleep off colds without actually taking much care of himself
Anybody can feel free to add on!!

Johnny hadn't even been at the camp for a full week and everything was already going to shit.
He knew why he needed to be there at True Directions, the brochures had all said it was the best way to fix what was wrong with him, the only way. His mother had made Sid promise not to tell anyone where he was going too, though that hadn't been too hard. Who could stand anyone finding out he had a stepson who was queer?
Missing 3 months of school and karate plus being away from all his and friends wasn't ideal, but he was figured he was just gonna have to tough it out. Most of the kids at True Directions were alright, and he was really starting to warm up to the idea of spending an extended period of time around them.
He was so, so close to getting through the program without anything in the way. Of course something had to go wrong.
Johnny ran shaky hands through his hair, letting out a sigh. He couldn't bring himself to sit with the others during free time after group therapy. He knew that eventually Ali would want to talk to him, and because he hadn’t acted like enough of a coward already, Johnny had hid from her. He'd been curled up behind the house in a secluded area in the garden out back for the past 20 minutes.
What was the point of putting so much effort into keeping people back home from finding out he was gay when the one person he would’ve wanted to find out the least ended up right where he was?
Suddenly, Johnny heard a faint rustling in the bushes. Straightening up and out of his crouch, he looked up to see a familiar brown haired boy, pushing through the shrubbery. Johnny furrowed his brow in confusion as the two stared at eachother.
"Hey, there you are,” Daniel said, grinning at him. “I’ve been looking all over for you, blondie.”
Johnny scooched over to the side, silently making room for Daniel to sit with him. Once he’d set himself down with a comfortable sigh, Johnny spoke. "Why?” He replied, and then like an afterthought, “And I already told you, stop calling me that.”
Daniel shrugged, and with a start Johnny realised he looked kind of shy. "Was worried about you, is all. You seemed kinda," He trailed off.
"What, rattled?" Johnny offered, raising an eyebrow at him.
Daniel let out a soft huff of laughter, "I was actually gonna say freaked out of your mind, but yeah. Rattled works too."
"Right, well," Johnny replied, "You'd probably be a little freaked out of your mind too if you were me."
Daniel shoved him lightly, laughing again. "What's wrong? You know the new girl or something?"
Johnny couldn't help but laugh then too. More than you'd guess, he wanted to say. Instead, his response was soft.
"She was my girlfriend back home," he said, "Technically still is, actually."
The worst part of it all was, sometimes Johnny could make himself think he really did have feelings for Ali. He could talk to her, really talk to her, and she made him want to be a better person, one who didn't have to punch out all his problems.
Sometimes, on those nights where he'd be driving her back to her house, both hands on the wheel so she wouldn't try to take one, he'd look over at her, at her pretty eyes and her bright smile and wonder how he could possibly not love her. He had to be straight if he loved spending time with her so much, right?
But over time it had gotten harder to pretend. He'd stiffen up when she kissed him, instinctively pull away if he thought she was going to try and pull him into a hug. He started dreading seeing her, dreading her easy affection because deep down he knew she didn't deserve this, he was such a liar, she should hate him, he was all wrong and he was going to ruin her with it, he just knew.
Daniel laughed, incredulous. "Are you serious?"
"Sure am. Our 2 year anniversary was back in June."
Daniel's expression was so priceless, Johnny almost laughed despite the pit in his stomach. Almost.
Johnny watched as the other boy scoffed in disbelief, head leaning back against the wall.
"You're really something else, Blondie." And yeah, he kinda was, but still.
"It's not like I don't," Johnny could feel his face warming up as he spoke. "I do like Ali okay. So much. She's smart, and she has a killer sense of humour-"
"And she's got just about the greatest tits you've never seen!" Daniel cut in, sparkling. Johnny flushed immediately, opening his mouth to tell the other boy off when Daniel continued, deadpan.
“Look, I don't need you to give me the straight boy speech. You're not gonna fool anybody. Not here."
Johnny shut his mouth, speechless. Funny thing was, the worst part of this whole conversation wasn't even the fact that he was being lectured by some shrimpy loudmouth from New Jersey.
(Seriously, Daniel was tiny. Johnny's hand could probably circle his whole wrist, he could probably lift him all the way off the ground without breaking a sweat if he tried. Johnny wasn't gonna kid himself either. He knew full well what he'd do to him if they'd first met back home and Daniel tried talking to him the way he did at True Directions.)
The worst part was that Johnny couldn't even deny it. He'd never been attracted to Ali, as hard as he always tried. And denying it at the one place where he could be honest about himself was gonna get him nowhere.
"Alright, fine, Larusso!" He flapped his hands in Daniel's direction, as if he could swat him away like a fly. "Lay off me, will you?"
Johnny swallowed thickly. "I get it, I'm an asshole. I just-- I just thought if I pretended hard enough then eventually I wouldn't have to pretend anymore." He said, voice low. "But that's why I'm here now, right? To get better, so I won't be pretending anymore."
The two boys sat in silence for a few beats. As much as Johnny made jabs at the other boy for his constant chatter, the quiet was unnerving.
Finally, Daniel let out a heavy sigh, rolling his eyes. "Right, well. Good luck with that one."
Johnny furrowed his brow and narrowed his eyes at the boy. "What are you talking about?"
Daniel huffed out a laugh. "This crap doesn't work, Johnny. You are who you are, man, the only trick is not getting caught.
He brushed off his blue shorts, and started to get up. His tone was the only thing that betrayed any bitterness in his words. A slight edge to them. For not the first time, Johnny wondered what Daniel had done to get sent to camp.
Whatever dark mood Daniel had been in vanished as soon as it came. Once he was up, he grinned brightly down at Johnny, extending a hand to help pull himself up. Johnny accepted it wordlessly, pointedly not thinking about the warmth of his hand in his as he got up. The flowers just behind Daniel were looking real nice at the moment.
"I should. Probably go talk to Ali." Johnny said as they made their way back to the group.
Daniel stayed silent a beat, before hesitantly responding. "I know I gave you a ton of grief about it before but," He tried for a smile. "It'll be okay. She's here too, man, so she can't be too mad at you."
Maybe it sounded dumb, but up until that point Johnny hadn't really thought about what Ali's presence would mean for her feelings about him. He'd been so focused on how much she'd hate him now that she'd found out his secret.
Daniel reached out to him and squeezed his right hand lightly. It was small, and he'd pulled away immediately, but it was enough to fill his chest with warmth. He nodded once, and made his way over to the blonde girl sitting across the garden.
