Reptiles regrow ovaries? Massive reptile fan, just love them, but I haven’t been on top of the science for several years.
It's a known problem with spaying lizards in particular, and the reason that preventative spays are falling out of favor. Theoretically, if you leave even a little bit of microscopic ovarian/follicular material behind you could have regrowth. Although I've also seen some vets go through multiple spays and swear up and down there was absolutely nothing left, and yet they spayed the same animal at least 3 times.
I would expect it would be an issue with other reptile species too, but we just don't do spay surgeries on them as much as lizards. Or at least I don't. But I think that's more of a reflection on what's common/popular as a pet. Bearded dragons are overwhelmingly the most common reptile we see, and I'd say leopard geckos are in second place. Every time I do a spay I inform the owner that regrowth can occur, because the last thing you want is to explain to an owner why the animal you spayed (and not for cheap either, it's a pretty technically challenging surgery) has started laying eggs again.

I only watched all seasons of love death and robots very recently too. There were some aesthetically pleasing things, but they never reached the first season in terms of creativity in my opinion. I love that Zima Blue episode so so much. And the civilization in the freezer episode.
Sonnie's Edge, Zima Blue and Aquila Rift each have their issues but the three of them kind of leave the entire rest of the show choking on dust imo. 4 eps into season 2 and have yet to come across a new addition yet.

So Fulgrim is noted as not being super fond of psykers (as they represent a genetic deviation or “imperfection”), but he still was one of Magnus’ supporters at Nikaea. My theory on why he did, and why (iirc) he openly wept when the verdict was given, is because he saw it more personally than just librarians in all legions; i think he recognized the psychic arts as being his brother’s form of creation and expression, as the distinct craft through which the Thousand Sons, Magnus and Prospero pursued artistry and perfection in their own way. He was heartbroken that Magnus was cut off from his art
Idk why this popped into my head
that's a fun headcanon! i like it!
i had a vibe but i hadn't heard much solidly before about the whole "fulgrim considering psykers an imperfection" thing, d'you know where they talk about that? i'd like to look into it that sounds Inch Resting
i will say i think fulgrim is a bigger asshole than this about most* other people's art and self-improvement (he is SUCH a dick) — but i can absolutely see him getting, if not weepy then at least angry and defensive about a form of art he doesn't see negatively on a conceptual level being shuttered for what he considers silly reasons, which frankly, nikea really was a deeply silly affair. i know that's an underestimatey word but how else can you describe that complete clownshow
*his own sons and ferrus being the obvious exceptions
i also just enjoy fulgrim and magnus being, not close but certainly on friendly terms? i've always seen those two and sanguinius as being a sort of little magpie club

Thots on the priest from Derry Girls?
What about Sister Michael? She’s one of my favorite characters in all of fiction
What was his name? Father Peter? He was cute I guess. I found him annoying.
Sister Michael is so me. She’s deadpan and practical. She reminds me of real religious sisters I’ve met.

Favorite weapon to see people work with?
If you would have asked be this two or three years ago, I would have said the three section staff. I’ll always love a three section staff fight.
But over the years, I’ve become very fond of the spear. I don’t even know why as it can look pretty clunky sometimes. But when wielded well, a good spear fight will give me a boner. Especially a sword versus spear fight like the one in Drunken Master II or Odd Couple.
I also love fan fights. It’s a silly weapon because it’s not like you can actually hurt someone with a fan but I love how it looks on screen.

Out of the underappreciated groups you and alzraed mentioned, which would you want to see the most in a new book or trilogy?
Kroot or Slaugth. Granted, Mike Brooks gave the Slaugth a good showing in his Alpharius novel, but I want more walking worms, and more of an exploration into what they do and why. In the same vein, there is like zero mainline Kroot stuff, and I'd really like to see the intricacies of their culture, their perspectives on the Tau and the Imperium, and how they view the galaxy through a genealogical lens.

“While we devotin’
Full time to floatin’
Under da sea!”
The Coulter Family Raid group got bored of the Susano grind and decided to run away from their jobs as dutiful Warriors Of Light to make a synchronized swimming team. If only we could be THIS coordinated in raids...

Have you read God Bless you Dr. Kevorkian? It might be the only Vonnegut I’ve read but I adored it.
Utterly, totally unrelated, but I also highly recommend Binti, an excellent science fiction novella by Nnedi Okorafor.
I've vaguely heard of Binti but never really gotten around to taking a look at it. (Vaguely had the impression it was a series, actually). Will toss on the TBR to grab from the library if it's just a novella.
And actually one of my main new years resolutions for reading is going to be reading more actual lit (or just, anything other than modern SFF, really), so 'first Vonnegut since high school' is as good a first choice as any!

Hahahaha Get OWNED Dorm room. Get OWNED by a DIRTY, SOBBING, NAKED MAN DOOR HAND HOOK CAR DOOR
literally. never a more deserved beatdown
I think if someone yells at another person because their mental illness causes them to even appear to doubt their (authoritarian god-king) dad, and the person who yelled proceeds to survive this, they should count their lucky stars. (that one tweet voice) i would have killed rogal dorn with hammers i can tell you that much
