Hello I just want to list bnha characters that would have such interesting plots if they were main characters:

(These aren’t in any specific order)

Bakugou, obviously.

The actual underdog story with a twist; gifted kid syndrome. He’s relatable, he has no strong support system besides Kiri, no overpowered mentor (no mentor at all, really), most people regard him as a villain and treat him as such

His character development

His story could revolve around said character development. It could deal with trauma and address how society fails its children. He can learn how to let others in and trust others to have his back. It could also be a great story on staying true to yourself yet still being able to grow. I could go on and on but I’ll stop there.

Maybe we’ll finally get information on his life

Uraraka

Her reason for becoming the hero is the most unique; its selfless yet selfish. She wants to make money to help her family

Her story could start off with her feeling jaded about hero society, seeing them flaunt their wealth yet there’s still so many people struggling. It’s the fastest way for her to make money, though, and she hates it but she loves her family more. Throughout the story, her goal shifts from just making money to help her family to helping those in need, and she tries to use her status to make a difference no matter how small.

Iida

He’s a part of a hero family

The entire story could be about him finding his own identity and not feeling obligated by blood. He could even choose not to be a hero at the end! A lesson on self discovery and familial pressures

Monoma

His quirk is copying others

Like Iida, his story could focus on finding his own identity and he could have to deal with imposter syndrome. I’m thinking lots of mental illness in this one that he hides behind false bravado. It could also deal with how society looks at you for your quirk, but when his quirk is just taking others’ quirks, what does that say about him?

Aizawa

Ignoring his tragic backstory that could make a good plot in and of itself

Like monoma, his quirk relates to other peoples’ quirks. Instead of “I take others’ so who am I?” It could be “I take away something that makes people who they are. What does that say about me?”

It’d probably have to take place in middle school/high school bc I can’t see adult Aizawa having this hang up

Or if you wanna use current Aizawa, then you could go the “repressed trauma” route that’s related to his quirk, his tragic backstory, and the things he’s had to witness as an underground hero

Tsukauchi

Acab but he’s a detective so I’m still doing this. Watch out for cop propaganda

His story could deal with morality and corruption. Morality in using his quirk on people, corruption in the general sense of the government/police. Also about things he’s had to witness while doing his job

Tsuyu

She’s the eldest out of her siblings

Could focus on that. The fact that she had to grow up early. Learning that she can’t be a hero for everybody, having to address the trauma of being a parent to her siblings and having to be responsible 24/7. Learning how to let others help her

Her “bluntness” (yall she would be considered rude if she said what she said in a voice that wasn’t monotone but I digress) could be her repressing emotions bc she has to focus on her siblings

Idk where the hero aspect would come into her story though. Maybe with her learning to trust others to take the reigns once in a while

Sato/Tetsu/Kiri

Dealing with not being unique bc there are many others with quirks like them. Identity themes. Learning how to accept yourself and not compare yourself to others. Working together and thinking that you’re all the same but learning that you’re different. That stuff

Tokoyami

Mental illness. He literally has another person living in side of him. He’s not 100% okay.

He could focus on being scared of himself, having others be scared of him. Not being able to trust his control. Never being able to truly be alone.

Making peace with the darkness inside and all that

Okay speed run time! (Bc I don’t have as much to say abt these characters):

Everyone with a mutant quirk/Shinsou/the LOV -> discrimination/self-acceptance/problems with society

Todoroki Family -> trauma, abuse, things not being all black and white

Hagakure -> being invisible, self-acceptance, self-esteem, etc

Kaminari -> mental disabilities, not being cookie-cutter smart, proving ppl wrong not for them but for yourself

Vlad King -> morality given the fact that he could control the blood of both himself and others

All Might -> hero complex, not being able to save everyone, problems with hero society and the fact that the weight of the world rests on one man’s shoulders, being a good person at heart but hurting others, loneliness

Wash -> They’re a washing machine. That’s enough of a reason.

Inko -> single mother, not wanting to be the reason why your kid can’t achieve his dreams after so long but also being extremely worried for his life, how the people meant to keep others safe can’t always do that (both in relation to her and the heroes)

The most interesting plots would be the ones revealing how terrible hero society actually is. A nice dystopian plot but it’s not revealed to be dystopian until the characters find out more (or bc they were exposed to it from the start but they’re powerless to do anything and have to watch others continue to see with rose-colored lenses). Bakugou is the one I’d be most invested in because he’s my favorite character, obviously. Tokoyami’s would also be rad. All Might’s, too.

Deku’s story would be interesting if he actually faced real consequences, didn’t think lesser of others (in his own deku way), had actual character development, didn’t have all his powers handed to him, and was just more interesting. He’s not annoying but the way he’s written and the way the narrative is written to always make him right is annoying. Hopefully this gets better in the manga, but I’m not gonna hold my breath. I don’t like the direction the story has taken right now, so I’m just gonna look at spoilers when they come and wait to read when Bakugou comes back XD

a serious post for once! please read

I got this comment under my fic that features a trans hc of Izuku Midoriya and several other queer characters of color. (it's called Boyhood (the unconventional way), you can read it here.) I blocked out the user's name for their privacy.

This really fucking upsets me that this is an issue in fandom. If you look in the trans tag for most characters, you're not going to find a lot of G-rated fics. Trans people in media are treated as objects for cis characters to fuck or laugh at and I'm fucking tired of it! I'm tired of y'all ignoring trans people in fandom, and I'm tired of trans people having only fetishy, angsty, horrible trans rep for their content.

I'm a trans gay man, and I'm very open about this. I'm very open about my contempt for the BNHA fandom and many other's and how they treat trans ppl (specifically transmasc ppl) so poorly.

When I was about 11 years old, young and looking for people who liked BNHA the same way I did. I was way too fucking young to be on the internet, but I was. I was constantly infantalized and downplayed by cis people in servers. I was manipulated and groomed by people in fandom because I was young and I thought that people crossing my boundaries was okay. I thought that, as a trans man, as a person who was already treated so poorly, that no one would love me. And that the people who wanted me to do things for them that were not appropriate for a 11-12 year old to do was okay. Because if no one was going to love me, then this was the closest I would get.

I will spare you the details, but please, I'm begging you, protect young trans people in fandom. We're vulnerable in a way that is celebrated. We are fetishized in a way that is openly talked about in front of us. We are treated in a way that kids, fucking children, should not be treated.

If you are trans and you want to have a trans hc? Fucking go for it. If you are trans and you want to create content that celebrates being trans? By all fucking means!

Cis people? Watch yourselves. You are not immune to transphobia, you are not immune to making mistakes, but those mistakes can cost a child losing their sense of self. Trust me, I am one of those kids.

Think twice before you post a trans fic for the sake of breeding kink. Think twice before you post a trans fic portraying trans people in a light that isn't so great. Think fucking twice before you think the young trans person in your discord server isn't a kid that needs guidance.

Protect trans kids. Please.

Cis ppl can and are encouraged to reblog but don't say dumb shit.

My fashion sense is pretty much anything alt! Mainly goth, punk, kawaii, scene, and a lil emo (+kidcore and hippie 💖) I don't have a main fave so any of those are fine to me

Random facts about myself? I grew up around metal/death rock (and punk rock...pretty much every genre of rock lolol) so any types of heavy, energetic music genres are always my faves.

- When she saw you she instantly fell in love. On the moment she knew you were perfect in every little way, with every quirk of your personality and action. - Was and still is nervous around you, always blushing like crazy and fidgeting with her ears. At first, she brushed off the feelings she had, hoping they would fade away. Wrong. Jirou knows that is better to not suffocate you right now, but still stays with you until you feel better. She doesn’t want you to ever feel sad or depressed again, and be sure that Kyouka makes it her goal to bring a little light in your life. In return, you always comfort and praise her when insecurity hits, reminding her of how much love you have for her, and how you’ll never let the thing you have go.

- You listen to music together, obviously, but also watch a lot of videos on youtube. When either of you comes over to the other’s dorm you do this and it’s honestly so cute (and domestic?) and i want it to.

- 10/10, easily the best gf there is.

The first that comes to mind when I think about it is the workshop battle arc, because I love Viole with everything I have and the whole arc (plus the build up to it too!!) hurts in the most wonderful way, but then I keep thinking about it and I realize there’s so many character I live for that don’t appear in it - I love the floor of death arc SO MUCH cause for one, there’s nearly all my favorite characters in it, and also because it’s such a good, dynamic arc?? everything that happens is so much fun and interesting?? also Hockney is there, and Urek is there, and Garam is there, and the Hell Train gang is all there, so!! AH and the hell train as a whole is so damn good (the dallar show???? my whole soul rests in there, Khun’s trust in Bam!! the coin flip with rachel!! Bam’s whole everything!!!!!!!! GAH) but my fav part of it has to be the hidden floor?? because!!!!!! it’s perfect from start to end, everyone in it is wonderful, Bam’s growth in it!!! GODS! My favorite scene in the whole webtoon is in the hidden floor arc, it’s how much I love it - THEN THERE’S YAMA and the whole arc there is so so SO good too, and the latest arc!! how good is the latest arc!!!!!

so yeah I can’t pick - art wise I think it goes without saying that SIU’s art has only gotten better, so the closest to the newest update you go the more I like the art.... though, my favorite Bam is still the short haired one from the Hell Train arc haha

Okay so I wasn’t going to be making this type of au

But then spidermark happened during the nct 127 sitcom and here we are

so mae’s superpower is that she’s like a fairy, pretty wings that she can retract on her own wings and the ability to control wildlife

her hero name is flora bc of the plants and yes also for the winx fairy

she has has good observation skills, so its easier for her pick out whoever seems to be hiding something

her best friend getting better reflexes and strength the same time spiderman made his debut? yeah it didnt take long for her to connect the dots

mae is definitely the “hidden in plain sight” type of hero

like someone asks if she’s a superhero she’ll immediately say yes without denying it

its like

she agrees with it so casually that people won’t believe her

someone: are you a superhero?

Mae: hell yeah i am im such a badass

she pretends to be her alter ego’s “biggest fan” so they think its just an elaborate joke

she has merch of her hero gear as a joke and also to fuel her ego bc she has merch!!!!

she didn’t want to be a part of a big hero agency and stay a vigilante under everyone’s radar, but NCT has a different plan

mae was watching over the city when she saw a couple of her friends getting mugged by ppl in masks, so naturally she moved their way

only for spidermark to tie her up and bring her to the roof to remove her mask in front of nct

yeaaaaaaah she didn’t talk to mark after a while bc of that

now nct is just this team of superheroes that know what theyre doing most of the time

its like the avengers but taeyong is the rich leader and johnny is the somewhat equivalent of captain america but like not old

and mr super strength jaehyun doesn’t hulk out

scratch that maybe it’s like class 1a from bnha but older

think of 127, dream and wayv as different units for nct in this au so she still works with 127 and dream

she’s considered one of the support heroes on the team, preferring to get citizens away from the line of danger instead of fighting enemies up close

the other reason is that the last time she fought a really strong enemy, her wing got hurt and she always fell

the injury couldve gotten worse if taeil didn’t catch her

so now she just helps citizens and tends to the injured with herbs she grew from the ground

“All done.” Mae said softly, securing the bandage on the kid in front of her. The kid had fallen and sprained his ankle running away from one of the villains. Luckily, Mae had gotten there in time and swooped him away, moving him away from all the chaos.

“Thank you so much Flora!” The kid said smiling, eyes sparkling at the sight of her. Mae could never get used to the fact that some people thought so highly of her. Then again, it was “Flora” and not Mae.

“All in a day’s work kiddo.” She said, ruffling his hair. A woman’s voice from behind her got her attention. Turning around, Mae saw a woman, who she assumed was the kid’s mother, quickly running towards the kid, before hugging him tightly.

Mae smiled softly at the sight. She was always glad to see people get reunited whenever a crisis like this appeared. She knew what it was like to lose someone, so she always did her best to make sure it doesn’t happen to anyone else.

“Hey Flora we need some assistance over here.” Renjun said, using telepathy to relay his message her way.

“I’m on my way!”

As she got ready to fly away, she felt arms wrap around her waist. Freezing in her spot, she turned to see the little boy from before holding her tightly.

“Thank you for being my hero!” He said, grinning up back at her. Mae grinned back at him, hugging back before letting go.

“All to keep you safe!”

And with that, Mae flew away.

Now im not gonna say 'dont feel bad pls' bc I know that's not really useful but what I do think is useful is just discussing why that anon and many others feel the need to respond that way. As someone who follows a lot of writing blogs myself and have done for a long time, i've seen my handful of favourite writers come and go for different reasons, lose motivation for a while, gain motivation for a while, go from multi to single fandom, or single fandom to multi. Often times as a reader it can be upsetting when things change but it's also important as a reader to understand that some things aren't in anyone's control, I can't control what my favourite writers become a fan of or lose interest of, I can't control things in their personal lives that may motivate or demotivate them to write, but what I can do is support them as long as they're active, and if they move on to do things i'm no longer interested in or i'm the one that changed interests, rather than being upset that they're evolving to do other things or that they're not evolving with me, I think it's important that I still feel thankful for the works that I enjoyed while we were still on the same page and this is how I personally deal with those negative feelings. I think the anons that lash out at you probably just dont know what to do with themselves, maybe they got attached to your works while you were still only a jjba blog and now that you're evolving they're upset, while I understand how they feel, they're going the completely wrong way about it. I've learned to take these things and turn them into something positive for myself or at least something bittersweet that I can move on from but the anons that lash out at you for whatever reason probably haven't learned this yet. Maybe it's because i've moved on and changed interests a lot myself that I know how these things go for both writers and readers but those anons maybe haven't experienced this as much so they dont know what to do with themselves other than complain that you've changed and throw insults at you in an attempt to get you to revert back. None of this is because of the quality of your writing like they want you to believe, it's literally just because you've evolved and while some of your old followers might not like the new content for no reason other than it not being their cup of tea, it's definitely not regressed at all. You are pumping out a lot of content right now but every single thing i've read has just been better than the last. Things that really stand out to me is how well you get characterisation down to a T and all of your dialogue is just on point and from the pov of a reader I think those things seem the hardest to get right so I am such a huge fan of your stuff at the moment and I can tell you're really putting so much thought and care into each and every fic no matter how fast you're producing it, I think the fact that you're also proud of what you're writing at the moment really shines through as well and I just adore the passion that radiates from every completed request as well as in the responses for the subsequent thirsts resulting from these works that appear in your ask box later (I know i've sent quite a few by now~)

Just to be clear i'm not defending those anons in any way, while I can understand what they might be feeling/why they're reacting in the way they are I still believe it's just so immature to be hateful online point blank. Even during a time where I still got upset with writers if they started doing something else I still never targeted that negativity directly to the writer and sending rude or hateful comments whether on anon or not never something i'd stooped low enough to do even when I still had an immature way of thinking, however, I hope that it might make it a little easier to brush them off if we try and understand what they're really upset about, and that they're just putting the blame for their negative feelings onto the wrong thing rather than coming to terms with change themselves.

hello anon!! i appreciate the long message. i do feel bad for people who have no interest in what i’m currently producing and i get that they feel upset about it; i’ve watched a lot of fellow jojo writers move on completely or just stop posting, honestly. this kind of thing is why i was so intense about asking people if it would be better if i made a separate blog but the resounding answer seemed to be ‘i’m just vibing with whatever happens and i’ll block tags as needed’.

i often return to works by my favourite reader-insert writers who no longer write for the fandoms i like (and i read stuff bc it sounds interesting or i trust the person who writes it), but change can be difficult and i guess at this point i’ve - whether u like me or not lmao - been a fixture in jojo reader-insert tumblr for a While so it’s probably kind of jarring.

❅A Love Letter I Have to My Lovely and Beloved Friends❅

(I just know that 30 july was a national friendship day and today is like 31 july already at where I am but,,, just pretend that this is also for National Friendship Day 🤡🔫)

As you all know, it's been confirmed that I'll be going on a hiatus two days from now that I really don't know how long it will go on. So, with that in mind, I wished to leave this message to all the wonderful friends I've made while I was active here on Tumblr during quarantine.

I've started this writing blog a few months ago, to be precise, on May where life in quarantine was starting to become a norm. In the few months until now, I did my best to start writing and drawing more using all the free times that I have.

I wouldn't have expected this blog to grow so much in such a short time. To me, it was really mind blowing, seeing that there's a lot of other great content creators here on Tumblr. Yet, the 300+ people who stumbled upon my blog still decided to follow me.

I was really happy to have made many contents that I'm actually proud of posting. And I still can't believe there are people out there who love them. Seeing every one of your comments and reblogs and likes really, really, squeezed my heart and I couldn't be more thankful for your support.

And during these fun times, I was able to make friends with many amazing, talented, fantastic and all the good words I could find in the dictionary people on here. You all are a real gift to me and I hold you guys close to my heart.

I still can't believe I was able to befriend you guys though, like, y'all are so amazing and I was just here like squeaking my name to you like a shy mice lmao. =///= Anyways, thank you for all the good and fun times. Thank you for being with me and helping me with lots of things. Just, thank you for everything. (I'm writing this at 1am like it's sad hours yall I'm crying :')))

If you are ever feeling down, do not ever forget that, even if it's only me, I'll support you to the end of the world because you're just so amazing and fantastic. I love you and never let any hate that's thrown at you let you down because they aren't worth your time.

The people I'll be mentioning below are my dear friends or just people that I have been interacting with during the times I was online, little or not, I still consider you guys to be my friends (very self-proclaimed here sorry)and I'm still honoured by that fact.

To all of my dear friends that I've mentioned above, I LOVE YOU LOTS YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW GRATEFUL I AM TO MET YOU GUYS. Quarantine time has been stressful for a lot of people, and Tumblr can sometimes (a lot of times) be kinda whack but I was really happy to met you guys during my time here. Our time together may have been short, but i feel like we've known each other for more than a year, no caps. I love you all very very much. Thank you for talking to me and befriending me.
