returning to leave a couple of mixed reviews on French art from past weeks

“Water Lilies”, Céline Sciamma's debut movie from 2007, really good. I think Sciamma is great at offering a glimpse on the world of (queer) teenagers (and even younger kids) without it ever feeling too judgmental or saccharine, and her first movie is proof of that. Then again maybe I'm just biased because I'm a basic ass lesbian and this movie is a such a clear mirror on events from my teenage years that took me a long time to understand

“L'Envol”, Alcest's new single: boring ass song based on vibes and nothing else, which is not nearly enough for eight (!!) minutes. I can't live on atmosphere alone and I know Neige can write cool riffs, I wish he remembered too. Not optimistic about a new album if this is representative of the contents

If there is one thing that I absolutely love and adore about Marinette, it is her ability and talent in designing clothes.

Like, I am just one year older than her and don't even know how to sew while she is out there making dresses, knitting a scarf, prepearing a hat. I am so impressed, I wish I could do it too but laziness would not let me.

And the fact she does all of this under limited resources! The whole Adoration episode where she plans her dress for the prom party. It's just amayzing. You go girl.

The HMS Harmony Discord & Facebook is excited to announce a new event. April showers bring May flowers in the form of Harmony MAYhem! Starting May 1st, you can claim any of the aMAYzing prompts in the HMS Harmony MAYhem AO3 collection.

You can submit a fanfic or fanart to fulfill the prompt. You can claim as many prompts as you want and a prompt can be claimed by more than one individual. You can also suggest more prompts to be added (must contain MAY puns, of course).

In addition, we will award POINTS to everyone and tally these up. The House with the most points by the end of the event wins! We will also award House MVP for the person who accumulated the most points per House. So make sure you grab a House and form your allegiance before you participate!

Oh man..... there's one scene FAR in the future that i keep tucked very close to my chest because it just. HITS. the imagery of it, the absolute gut-wrenching transition from cheerful and happy to suddenly devastating...... that beat drop lives in my head rent fucking free. I dont want to spoil it, but i will say this-- Etho is involved, and my gods is it a doozy.

I havent written it yet, because im weird and really like to write in exact chronological order, but that scene is essentially a movie clip in my head and i know EXACTLY what i want to do with it, so for now i vibrate excitedly and know that this scene is going to have people on the goddamn floor
