Reading the tags on your post reminded me of something I was thinking about a while ago; imagine when Nico first got to CHB and was in the Hermes cabin, you know they would instantly love this kid because he is AMAZING at any card games or gambling type things. Connor and Travis just walking up to some Ares kid or smth like "bet you 15 dollars and one of your knives that this kid can beat everyone at poker"

This kind of half thought out but I thought it was cool

YEAH i like to imagine that he’s great at card games/gambling because y’know... he spent 70 years in a casino. and that also pairs well with my headcanon that travis and connor see nico as a little brother figure. those 3 will empty your wallet in less than 2 minutes
