BACKGROUND.
quick facts :
can perform nonverbal magic, and is working towards learning wandless magic as well
has perfected her felix felicis potion
orphan
early history :
the only child born to isla and malcolm bones, susan was named for her aunt amelia's middle name. a rather powerful and respected family in the wizarding community, it's no shock that they were sought after by death eaters during the first wizarding world war. most of the family wouldn't survive.
first year :
susan bones started her education at hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry the same year as the famous harry potter. she shared a boat with seamus finnigan and hermione granger, and was the third student to be called upon by minerva mcgonagall for the sorting ceremony. there was an indescribable joy at being sorted into hufflepuff, the very house that her parents had shared before falling in love. the house that most of her family had called home while at hogwarts. during her first year, susan would learn all about the basics of magic and spell performance, like her other classmates. she was also present at the end-of-term feast during which gryffindor won the house cup breaking slytherin's seven year winning streak.
second year :
during her second year, susan seemed to develop a crush on the then defence against the dark arts professor, gilderoy lockhart, which caused her to be off-task daydreaming during his lessons. she participated in the duelling club, as a precaution due to the attacks that occurred after the chamber of secrets had been opened. the fact that lockhart oversaw this club was merely an added benefit, as was the discovery of a talent for duelling magic. if only she’d known how much that skill would come in handy in later years.
year two wasn’t all clubs and cute professors. when her friends were all petrified by the unknown creature (now known to be a basilisk) roaming the school, fear seemed hard to shake. for someone who had already faced so much loss, the thought that her friends’ lives were in peril was a hard one to shake. to say that she was filled with a sense of relief when professor sprout and madam pomfrey were able to cure the petrified students would be an understatement.
third year :
idk she was scared of sirius black like everyone else that year. i'll flesh this year out later maybe. maybe not. we'll see.
fourth year :
during susan's fourth year hogwarts held the triwizard tournament and hufflepuff's cedric diggory was one of the triwizard champions. she supported cedric in favor of harry, as he was in her house and her best friends were also strong supporters of him.
harry's death at the end of the triwizard tournament left susan with a lot of questions, though of one thing she was certain. barty crouch jr didn't kill her classmate. no, voldemort was back, and it was only a matter of time before the rest of the wizarding world began to suspect the same.
summer before fifth year :
it was in late june that the death eaters who murdered susan’s uncle edgar and his family escaped from azkaban. news that immediately set the bones family on high alert, and for good reason. mid july saw an attack on the bones household, with susan left the only survivor. she’d credit it to pure luck and her mother’s forethought, if you could even get her to speak on the incident.
her father’s shout from the kitchen had given enough warning for susan to barricade herself into her bedroom. unfortunately there was already a death eater waiting for the girl. fortunately he hadn’t been expecting her to throw a punch instead of a hex. it was only that split second of shock that allowed her to grab for the portkey her mother had placed on her nightstand only a few weeks earlier. an emergency escape hatch of sorts. and it worked. susan successfully escaped to an alley behind the leaky cauldron. she entered and gave a fake name to tom, the pub’s owner, and asked him to send for amelia bones. it was only when her aunt arrived, having recognized the fake name as a previously agreed upon safety code for her niece, that susan learned that neither of her parents had been so lucky as she’d been.
the following days saw her settling into a spare bedroom at her aunt’s home, her new home, and struggling to accept her new reality. still weeks later, the grief at her parents’ death feels as fresh as it was standing in the leaky cauldron. she only hopes this school year proves to be the distraction she so desperately craves.

quick facts :
i play susan in an au where hogwarts letters are received at age 18 instead of 10, making hogwarts years playable without sacrificing my own comfort in not playing minors. because hogwarts threads are fun, and i deserve fun and comfort on my own blog. i think this also allows for further exploration of the darker elements of the source material

The idea that The Nevers probably won't pair up Adair and True is some Whedon level bullshit. Also Claudia Black needs more screentime. Always. Besides that it's good though.

about me
tldr: quick lee, he/they, 21
butch, aroace, lesbian, asian, korean united statesian, woman, menswear enthusiast
-> yes, i am a woman and a lesbian. yes, my pronouns are not she/her. these facts can coexist.
-> i prefer he/him but feel free to sprinkle in a they/them occasionally. surprise me. ALSO v important please use the pronouns separately! altho i do use more than one set of pronouns i do not like to use them interchangeably :)
i go in depth here about this
do not interact
-> if you ship elsanna, kara/monel, amalia true/horatio cousens, penance/augustus; if you like incest, age-gap relationships, genderswaps
-> mcyt stans, if you claim to have undiagnosed DID/alters/systems, if you claim other fake disorder stuff
-> cop/military apologists, republicans, conservatives, right wing ppl, fascists, bigots, christians, homophobes, ableists, etc can go away
-> fetish/nsfw/bdsm/kink pages. nothing against yall but i explain below
-> see my carrd for more DNI criteria
aroace lesbian + sex-repulsed
-> sexual content will not be found on this page, i don’t write smut and even people kissing makes me uncomfortable and grossed out.
-> my writing tends to focus on the more platonic or “innocent” romantic stuff. my fics could be seen as friendship or some other kind of relationship. i ship people in queerplatonic relationships usually.
-> my full sexual & romantic identity would be aromantic asexual lesbian. i keep things platonic mostly, but no matter the type of relationship i will always prefer women.
leftist
-> no i am not a liberal or democrat, and obviously not a conservative or republican or any other right-wing political group. yes, liberals/dems are still right-wing. fuck all of you.
-> fuck cops, the military, capitalism, private insurance/healthcare, political parties, people who want the status quo, etc.
-> haven’t read any theory but I’d align myself most closely with marxism or marxism-leninism, based on the research and reading i’ve done. commie/leftist yeet yeet
-> anti-zionist. not jewish by any means. zionism is colonialism.
-> atheist, with a background in the presbyterian branch of christianity. fuck organised religion, they’re all cults, but especially christianity.
fandoms/interests
-> you can find me on ao3, i write silly little fanfics involving my favorite sapphics. send requests if you want to see something specifically.
-> the nevers, supergirl, the haunting of bly manor, motherland: fort salem, hacks, mare of easttown, dickinson, rizzoli & isles, anything involving wlw or pretty women really. yell at me if you’d like to become mutuals and bond over a favourite show <3
-> my favourite characters: penny haywood, emily kaldwin, junlei tennyson, penance adair, lena luthor, maura isles, amalia true, jamie taylor, deborah vance, helen fahey, sue gilbert, tally craven, cristina yang
-> wouldn’t necessarily say i’m in fandoms for this, but i love sketch/improv/stand up comedy. i DO NOT like (most) sitcoms—the only exceptions being the golden girls and designing women. big fan of saturday night live, a black lady sketch show, whose line is it anyway?, etc.
-> my favourite comedians: hannah gadsby, river butcher, john mulaney, tig notaro, robin williams, taylor tomlinson, hannah einbinder, gilda radner
-> i love katie mcgrath, sandra oh, sasha alexander, laura donnelly, ann skelly, lily tomlin, jean smart, amelia eve, and gilda radner. i hate melissa benoist, jodie comer, angie harmon, chris wood, mehcad brooks, jeremy jordan, and david harewood
-> favourite musicians: hippo campus, lupin, brotherkenzie, baby boys, whistler isaiah, hozier, half•alive, early eyes, grandson, sylvan esso, peach pit, the greeting committee, still woozy, i don't know how but they found me, glass animals, ashe, phoebe bridgers, japanese breakfast, sub urban
-> favourite games: the outer worlds, dishonored ii, cyberpunk 2077, harry potter hogwarts mystery
other
-> i’m not a man-hater or a misandrist. i just…do not care about men. they aren’t interesting to me. and i’m not attracted to them. i will only focus on women, because i literally have zero things to say about men. if you’re not down, you don’t need to follow.
-> i love talking about tv shows! one thing about me is if i start a show, no matter what happens i have to finish it. if you want to stalk me and see what shows i am watching and have watched, i’m fireandfolds on tvtime. i don’t really do films.
-> my carrd (you’ll find my social media and ways to support/follow my creative work)
-> join my sapphic-centered discord if you want
shoot me an ask or dm or whatever if you want to connect. use the tags if you want to navigate through stuff. sweg!

RUN GIRL RUN !
This is my OC, Raven Adair! She's super epic and I love her.
She's a human, and works for a witch that comes from a high ranking family that's known for hunting and killing liches. Her name is Nirvana Donophria! In this picture, she's stealing a very particular wand from Nirvana's family home to help her cast a very particular spell.... hmmm!
She's also a part of a harem, all dedicated to a lich named Amelia! She was the first member of it, actually. They all get along fairly well, and also Nirvana, ironically enough, is also a part of this harem.
Amelia has so many wives... love her for that. If you want to know more about her, feel free to drop an ask!

Hello, Darkiplier. I have a question for you. How do you keep you cool, while dealing with your creator? -Amelia Adair
I don’t understand what this means.

Hello there! I am not trans, but I do have long lists of name combos that people may like and are free to steal, so I hope this helps. My style is pretty vintage and the names typically fit into the gender binary, so I’m sorry if this isn’t useful to some people. But if you do like traditionally fem/masc name combos that sound beautiful, read on!
Some of these have two middle names, so don’t worry if you want to chop off one or the other middle and use it. Without further ado, my collective favorite feminine combos:

WIP: The House of Voices
Summary: Benjamin Sauvette, a psychic and hereditary witch, moves back to his hometown of New Orleans to begin a shop. Next door stands the ruins of the famed De'Lacroix House -- the house that local witches avoid and the public blames Hurricane Katrina for the violent accident. Benjamin begins to hear the dead from the house cry out to him, he sees them running for him every time he walks outside, and his dreams are plagued with visions of the night the house was destroyed.
Benjamin becomes determined to bring justice to the dead, to free them of the curse that binds them to dwell in the house, and seeks to re-open the house to it's former glory -- a refugee for psychics and witches alike to grow in their practice. But the future reveals a continuation of the pain, and not everyone is eager to see the house rebuilt.
Benjamin's own life becomes in danger when he seeks justice, as the rival coven that sought the house's destruction marks him as their next target.
