Three soldiers from the Israeli occupation army playing with the Javelin anti-tank shoulder missiles.
There was no danger as they faced the target without any cover, and someone was already filming.
The cost of one missile without the launcher is between $70,000 to $100,000. It was exactly $78,000 in a report by the Pentagon in 2021, and now it's more expensive and could reach $100,000.
This is where the taxpayer's money goes; this is why Israel takes aid from the USA.
A video was published by a soldier named Emil Antonov, who is a tattoo maker in Jerusalem.

"Netanyahu’s government doesn’t have the legitimacy to rule; it doesn’t have the legitimacy to wage war; and it doesn’t have the power, the interest, or the will to end it.
"As long as the war continues, Netanyahu is in power. This war protects no one but him and his cronies.
"It is our job, as Israeli citizens, to remove them from power. No one else can or should do that for us. But we ask our American friends to at least not stand in our way."
This article gives an eye-opening exploration of the politics and trauma that led to the current crisis in Gaza, how Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu is exploiting it at the expense of both Palestinians and Israelis, and how the citizens of America - Netanyahu's primary enabler - can try to help stop the carnage.

Palestinians Sue Biden for Failing to Prevent Genocide in Gaza
Via the intercept:
“The 89-page lawsuit, filed by the Center for Constitutional Rights in a California federal district court, traces 75 years of history and analyzes acts committed and rhetoric espoused by the Israeli government that exhibit a disregard for international law. It is accompanied by a declaration from a genocide expert who describes Israel’s actions as signs of genocide and argues that the Biden administration has breached its duty under international law to prevent it.
“Under international law, the United States has a duty to take all measures available to it to prevent a genocide. Yet, Defendants have repeatedly refused to use their obvious and considerable influence to set conditions or place limits on Israel’s massive bombing and total siege of Gaza,” the lawsuit reads.
“Despite escalating evidence of Israeli policies directed at inflicting mass harm to the Palestinian population in Gaza,” the Biden administration has opposed “a life-saving cease-fire and lifting of the siege, even vetoing United Nations measures calling for a ceasefire,” the lawsuit continues. “Instead, their actions to fund, arm, and endorse Israel’s mass and devastating bombing campaign and total siege of the Palestinians in Gaza constitutes a failure to prevent an unfolding genocide and complicity in its development.”

🚨 Government Media Office:
The “israeli” occupation army has committed crimes of destruction, arson, and targeted 1,050 homes around the Al-Shifa Medical Complex, killing more than 400 martyrs so far. We condemn the international silence towards this crime.
Over the course of 13 days since storming the Al-Shifa Medical Complex, the "israeli" occupation army has committed crimes of destruction, arson, and targeted 1,050 homes, killing more than 400 martyrs and arresting and torturing hundreds of patients, displaced people, and medical staff in and around the Al-Shifa Medical Complex.
The occupation army still holds 107 patients hostage, including 30 wheelchair-bound patients and about 60 medical staff members, inside the Al-Shifa Complex under inhumane conditions, without water, medicine, food, or electricity. The occupation prevents all attempts to evacuate these patients through international institutions, putting their lives at significant risk.
We once again condemn in the strongest terms the "israeli" occupation army's invasion of the Al-Shifa Medical Complex, a war crime and a crime against humanity. We also condemn the international silence towards this crime, and the occupation's persistence in killing, starving, and torturing those in and around Al-Shifa Complex.
We hold the American administration, the international community, several European countries, and the "israeli" occupation fully responsible for participating and engaging in the genocide and ethnic cleansing carried out by the occupation army. We hold them all accountable for aligning with the brutal policies of the occupation against our Palestinian people, in a horrific and outrageous manner against international law and international humanitarian law, especially their support for the policy of starvation against civilians, children, and women.
We call on all international organizations, all Arab and Islamic countries, and all countries of the free world to move from the square of silence and condemnation to the square of taking practical positions, real actions, and field operations to stop the genocide, stop the invasion of hospitals, and stop the destruction of the health sector.

Othering
"The reality is that we are not separate. We are deeply connected to each other...And what we do is we figure all these ways to pretend we are not connected. Our sexual orientation, our race, our gender, our age, our language, our disability. We use all these things to try to pretend that we're not connected.
And when we pretend we're not connected, we're in the process of othering. We're in the process of denying not only someone's humanity, but our own humanity, and denying our own connectedness."
--- john a. powell on the mechanisms of othering
I feel like I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to resist the ease with which we paint those who are not like us as "others". The act of othering is the act of denying another person or people their humanity, it is stripping them of their identity and replacing it with one that fits a preconceived or shallow idea of who they should be. In the process of painting a group as different, we establish this idea of "normal" and this idea has no room for discussions about identity or individuality. This act is only about distancing ourselves from anyone who is not like us. It is about dehumanization and dehumanization almost always leads to hate. Because if you can dehumanize a group of people then you can justify any atrocity that happens to them. Because they must have deserved it right? If they didn't want to be targeted then they wouldn't have done that thing they did. They wouldn't have been different. They wouldn't have existed as something you couldn't understand.
This is how genocides get justified. This is how slavery gets justified. This is how the targeting of marginalized groups gets justified.
Othering leads to dehumanization which leads to hate which leads to cruelty.
I don't even know what I'm saying anymore. I feel like I'm rambling now. I've spent weeks looking at dead bodies and articles about murdered teens, and I'm beyond disgusted by some of the comments I've seen. There are these justifications floating around for why certain groups of people deserve what happened to them. As if them existing outside the realm of "normal" is any kind of justification. As if it has ever been a legitimate justification for genocide or murder. And I just want to say that the only way you can justify their treatment is if you never saw them as people in the first place.
Free Palestine. Fuck Oklahoma.

*peeps my 19 year old head in the door* Why does everyone hate Bush so much? In school (two years ago) all we learned about his presidency was 9/11 and us invading the middle east afterwards, and ... not much else. Did he not invade the Middle east because of 9/11? And wasn't Obama a war criminal too? Why is Bush singled out?
Obama is not a war criminal. That is a disingenuous, bad-faith argument used by the Online Leftists TM who I have often critiqued. There are valid criticisms and questions to be asked about his foreign policy overall, but it is not an actual, definable war crime such as the Bush administration enabled and facilitated in the invasion of Iraq particularly, which was based on thoroughgoing lies about "weapons of mass destruction" and committed widespread atrocities, with the direct knowledge of Bush and members of his administration such as powerful Vice President Dick Cheney. I suggest reading up on Abu Ghraib and its prisoner abuses by the US Army and the CIA, the private military company Blackwater and its mass murders of Iraqi civilians (for which Trump later pardoned them), Guantanamo Bay (Gitmo), and Halliburton, just for a start. These systemic abuses, especially at Abu Ghraib and Gitmo, were explicitly defended by the Department of Justice in the "Torture Memos." Let's not forget Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, for whom there is an actual legal case to charge with war crimes due to the Bush years. (They can't, because he's dead, but still.)
This should also mention the Patriot Act, the War on Terror, and the other disgraceful large-scale changes that made unprecedented mass surveillance and spying on civilians legal across America, in the name of "fighting terrorism." The war in Afghanistan went on for 20 years, achieved nothing except a lot more atrocities and actual war crimes, and wasn't even relevant to catching Osama bin Laden (who was eventually found hiding in a plushy Pakistani suburb and taken out.... in 2011, by the Obama administration). So yes. There's a lot there for you to educate yourself, and you will see what I mean.

apparently the USA has all the money in the world when it comes to funding genocide but not when it comes to healthcare and housing it’s own people. we can spend trillions on being an imperialist piece of shit country, but god forbid all levels of education is free and libraries are well funded and teachers are paid what they deserve. we can stick our hands in the politics of other nations but it’s just not in the budget to feed the American citizens. the us government would rather spend our money on being terrorists and killing Palestinians than do anything to help the working class in America
