"Natalie Portman had numerous costume changes in Revenge of the Sith, but she loves what they called the deep blue 'end dress,' which she wore in her coffin in the funeral scene.
'I think Trisha [Biggar] wanted an ocean sense. Someone said to me it was very ‘Ophelia.’ With the flowers and the hair, it does look like I’m drowning'."
a 2005 article by Patt Diroll about the Star Wars prequels' costume exhibition at the fashion institute of Design and Merchandising museum in Los Angeles for the release of the book Dressing a Galaxy: The Costumes of Star Wars.

Cover art by Tsuyoshi Nagano. “Star Wars: The New Essential Chronology,” Japanese edition. February, 2006.
The Japanese edition of “Star Wars: The New Essential Chronology” depicted a saga-spanning collection by artist Tsuyoshi Nagano. In the Christmas 2015 issue of ImagineFX magazine, Nagano had these memories, “I like Mara Jade a lot, so my drawings of her tend to be full body. Her costume was created using the comics as a reference. Grand Admiral Thrawn’s skin and Mara Jade’s lightsaber match, while Qui-Gon Jinn and Yoda’s lightsabers are the same green, to keep the painting engaging.”

Reliant
Leia's used to relying on her self, even in dangerous situation. But it's always nice when she has backup.

padmé amidala and susan pevensie for @/savvyyart's Savvyy-Star-Wars-Sept on instagram! day 10: crossover.
i like to think padme & susan would be friends! the original concept for this was supposed to be a diplomatic meeting between the planets of naboo and narnia (with entirely new outfits) with another piece consisting of edmund flirting with anakin, but i ran out of time (sigh) so i simplified it a little :)

Sometimes I wonder if there is a version of the story where Anakin's reaction to loss is not anger and denial and instead a kind of anticipatory grief. Padme will die in child birth so how can he ensure the children grow up with her presence, her culture, her life and love. Where the choice is only how to deal with the loss and the answer isn't revenge. He was never set up to be that person and yet he was that child, wasn't he?

„Padme Amidala lay completely still. Her face was surrounded by a brown halo of hair. The effect here and there was softened by white flowers that danced in the air to settle among the curls. Her pale skin was flawless, and her face was painted with serenity. Her eyelids were closed. She floated, her hands folded over her stomach. Naboo continued in her absence”
That foreshadowing was too much for me to handle. Plus the fact that this description fits two extremely different situations hurts even more :(
I translated the text from the Polish version of the book, so it may not be one-to-one like in the English version
If anyone hasn't read the book, In the text above, Padme was swimming in the lake on naboo with her handmaidens. This was happening near the end of her term as queen.

ENEMIES WITH BENEFITS
Maul wanted to get rid of Palpatine. She wanted her planet free.
They had much more in common that they thought before.
