Sips juice box. I like to think the hexsquad start a garage band (goreage band on the boiling isles) briefly post-canon.
Raine taught all of them how to play (Amity on bass and usually vocals, Luz and Hunter on lead and rhythm guitar respectively, Gus on keys/synths and Willow on drums) and shows up to all their practices and the small shows they get to do (things like classmates' birthdays, big festivals/town parties celebrating Belos and the Collector's defeats after the fact, left-hand relief effort fundraisers and dubiously legal music festivals held in the backwoods of latissa).
Raine hypes each and every one of them the FUCK up and spends hours giving them all pointers on their individual instruments and how to play as a unit and, like, listen. Raine is not a parental figure to any of them, really. They just don't have that kind of connection to anyone but King as their step son. But the kids all think Raine is cool as fuck and they crave positive encouragement in their lives. They love Raine. They'd die for Raine. Kill for Raine. Try new tunings and time signatures for Raine (VERY scary). They like being in a band cause it's an excuse to goof off together, express themselves and experiment with a different type of magic, but most of all, they love being in a band bc the middle aged political dissident fucking their friend's adoptive mom is just really goddamn supportive of them.
Nothing particularly noteworthy comes from the band (you guys can suggest fun names for them that are more creative than "the hexsquad"). It truly is just a thing on the side they do for fun and they all have individual careers and hobbies they're far more interested in (Gus is a teaching assistant at Eda's school (qualified to be full time but not allowed to bc of his age, has to wait a few more years), Amity is a field researcher and budding archeologist, Willow is going pro with sports, Hunter is carving and Luz is pursuing higher education).
The most that happens with it is they record a low quality CD (or magic CD equivalent) of demos and covers they put together (Luz and Willow are the main song writers for the group. Both had a lot of angsty pre-teen poetry they work shopped and repurposed for lyrics) that ended up being sold out of the back of Steve's motorcycle (his main career besides burger flipping and baby sitting, all of which makes him infinitely more happy than the emperor's coven ever did).
Raine not only bought a copy of the CD (despite having already heard them play every song before and having been the one to help them record it in the first place) they purchase a copy for ALL of their parents/extended family (Eda, King, Perry, the Parks, Darius, Camila, Gwen and Dell- everyone). Years after the band unofficially dissolves (re: the kids got actual jobs and started having to deal w/ life as adults), Raine still listens to that CD bc they're just so damn proud of their kids.

Willow and Gus are underrated, so here is why they are amazing. Starting with Willow:
1. Willow is gentle and willing to be vulnerable to make connections with others. But she is also protective of her heart. She only is willing to open her heart when she sees good and potential in others. Just like how she was willing to reconnect with Amity and how she saw Hunter, a sad boi, and decided he was important.
Tumblr media
"I can't say we're friends but... it's a start" / "At one point or another we've all been misjudged. Still think we're pathetic?"
2. Willow is very protective of her friends. She always wants to keep them safe and is willing to fight to do so. She wants to be the rock for her friends. And while this causes her to be closed off emotionally sometimes, she always is there for her friends emotions.
Tumblr media
3. Willow is powerful and passionate. She is amazing at plant magic but she also simply loves the plants. She treats them like babies and tries to keep them safe from the boiling rain. She is also the only one that can control her more vicious plants - seen by Viney telling Willow that her plant has been out of control since she's been gone in S3 Ep two.
Tumblr media
4. Willow encourages others to be themselves! She is the first to accept Luz as herself without belittling her for her interests. She is the first to not attempt to use Gus as a tool for her classes. She sees Hunter's enjoyment in Cosmic Frontier and praises his cosplay. While others see her friends quirks as problems, she never even suggests that they are an issue.
Tumblr media
5. Regarding her development, Willow makes excellent progress in living for herself. She starts out as unconfrontational and passive and grows into a confident and strong young woman. Willow begins her own flyer derby team, fighting against an asshole teacher to do so. She begins to take pride in her magic and work. She realizes that she has worth as a person and just because she struggles in some areas that doesn't make her less than others.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some of Willow's accomplishments: - She successfully overpowered Amity and Principal Bump with plant magic at a point where she had not been taught much of the track. - Helping Luz break into a highly guarded castle along with Gus. - Winning a game of flyer derby when Professor Hermonculus used magic to make her fail. - Started a protest to stop Belos (the tyrant that has been silencing people for decades) of at least one hundred people, likely more, from petrifying Eda. - Helps Amity and Gus break into the Blight Warehouse. - Fought against Adrian Graye Vernworth (the leader of the illusion coven) and helped group/hide many members of Hexside. - Alongside Amity, defeated an abomatron that were designed for destroying others (this particular one defeated many other students before reaching them). - Fought alongside the gang to kill Belos.

Round 2, Match 58: Eda Clawthorne vs. Gavroche
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Submitted kids:
Eda Clawthorne: Luz Noceda, King Clawthorne, Hunter, Edric Blight, and debatably, Amity Blight, Willow Park, and Gus Porter
Gavroche: Gavroche's unnamed brothers, but Gavroche was abandoned when very young and he doesn't know they're related to him
Propaganda under the cut!
Eda Clawthorne:
1. “First of all, Eda wasn't granted a lot of good things: She was cursed (by someone she loved) with an ever worsening illness, she was outcasted and prosecuted from society for not blindly following the rules and conforming. Lots of baggage and trauma. Still when Luz stumbled into human world, she took her in. She taught her magic and how to navigate this world.
She gave her advice and hugged her and reprimanded her. She wasn't an adoptive mom from the start, she grew into the role. She made mistakes, but she was willing to listen to Luz and overthink her behavior. Think of the beginning, when Luz wanted to go to school and Eda didn't want her. In the end she let her go and gave her her full support. She genuinely cared for her even when she was new in her life, and rescued her out of a lot of sticky situations, never left her behind, always ready to risk her life for those she loved.
Also King- She adopted him out of a cave and cared for him like a child even before Luz came. And the cared A LOT. For example, when his crown was took from him, she went on a dangerous mission (plus luz she just met and ""used"" for that) to retrieve it. Turns out, it was a ""burger king"" crown, but she did all that because see knew that was important to him. And even though she fears loosing him so much, she still helps him in his search for his real sad.
In conclusion: Outcast who still uses all her resources to give their kids a happy life, an education and a future. She fully supports them (but like a mother also draws a line here and there). She visits school meetings and does paperwork for Luz, she reads stories for them to fall asleep, she goes to Luz' prom, she hides her pain to be strong for them.”
2. “Eda Clawthorne always said she was a terrible influence and took the word “maternal” as an insult. She then proceeded to accidently adopt a sentient demon beast thing, raise him, adopt some human that tripped into her dimension, mentor her, all while being on the run from the tyrannical government. She canonically adopts King in the second season and King and Luz call each other siblings. She also calls them “her kids.” Eda attempts to sacrifice herself for them at many times and tries her best to keep them safe, and is really sad about the fact that they’ll one day leave her to go back to their own families. She puts away her own biases against the school system so that Luz can lead magic. The maternal instincts basically kick her out of nowhere and she goes from a badass, absolute menace to society to badass, absolute menace to society who happens to have two chaos gremlins.”
3. “Her being an adoptive parent wasn't even on her plan, she just likes to defy the government. Oops, now we're a family. Fuck you Emperor Belos!”
4. “This champion of a woman, this legend of a lady, continuously and effortlessly picks up children to care for as if her own. Before the events of the main storyline, she has already adopted the *King of Demons* himself. She takes Luz under her wing (ha), much like she takes in numerous other children with the intent of letting them prosper and grow away from responsibilities and duties placed on them by their previous parental figures. She is thirty and flirty and DANG she is a good mother. She casually picks up three more children whilst aiding in a rebellion with the (NON-BINARY) love of her life. Upon meeting the wonderful biological mother of Luz (Camila Noceda), you can see her VISIBLY SWEATING with the insurmountable pressure she feels to make a good first impression after a whopping three seasons of having raised Camila's kid herself. She cares very deeply for these kids and the people they love, and thus I argue she is one of the best serial adopters in history, if not THE best ever. boom mic drop the crowd goes wild”
(Mod note: Full propaganda list coming soon!)
Gavroche:
“Gavroche's a child himself but cares about the other two like a parent is supposed to : "I'm off to the elephant with my kids. On the supposition that you should need me some night, you'll find me there. I live on the second floor. There is no doorman. You should ask for Monsieur Gavroche." (The elephant is a hollow sculpture where they sleep)”

In His Dreams
Ignore the lack of actual plot I just needed a story to justify a tiny Huntlow head canon I had so here
———
“Wait, you wanna go in my mind?” Hunter repeated, confused as he sat of the edge of the couch.
“Yeah, Eda put Amity and Luz in Willow’s mind before and she taught me how!” Gus exclaimed, the rest of the group smiling behind him. This was a hard and awkward pitch, but Gus felt so sure about it.
“Okay but why?”
“Because you might know something about Belos that could help us figure things out,” said Luz.
“Things… Caleb might’ve known,” added Gus hesitantly. Hunter had told them all only a few days ago, but Gus had known for awhile. He knew Hunter was coming to terms with it, but it was still hard news for him to share so Gus brought it up only when totally necessary.
“Memories are part of the base of creating a grimwalker,” explained Amity, better at being blunt than Gus. “Belos would probably do a good job at hiding them-
“-so we can search for your subconscious for things you didn’t even know you knew!”
“My subconscious? So, like, my secrets?” His eyes darted to Willow before returning nervously to Gus. “Um so it would be you going in my mind?”
“No I gotta stay here to control the spell,” said Gus. “Willow and Luz are gonna go. We figured Luz would know anything from the human world and Willow wants to be on other side of the spell for once.”
“It’s not that bad I promise,” she smiled before adding in. Harsh whisper. “At least I won’t set anything on fire.”
“Right,” said Hunter, remembering her telling him this story. “Actually, I think I would prefer if Blight went.”
“Are you sure ?” Willow asked, assuming he was joking. “Because Luz knows more about human stuff and that might be helpful if Philip-.”
“I meant instead of you, Captain,” Hunter said as though the words physically pained him.
“Oh,” was all Willow could muster, understandably surprised, seeing as Hunter knew she was the one who has set the fire in her mind last time.
“It’s nothing personal, I just think that uh-.”
“No no, it’s your mind,” said Willow with a calming breath. Hunter could see she felt hurt, but she truly respected his honestly. “Whatever makes you more comfortable.”
She meant it, Hunter knew that, but he wished he could tell her why and ease her mind.
“So, we’re doing this?” Gus asked and Hunter nodded, knowing his friend had asked the question fully prepared to proceed. He knew this was important and only he could do it, but he’d be lying if he said the idea was comforting. He barely liked being in his mind, he couldn’t imagine how someone else would find it.
“Okay, so I guess it you and me,” said Luz, turning to Amity. “Wow, wouldn’t it be cool if we got to go into everyone’s mind together?”
“Once was more than enough,” Amity said lightly. “You got the radio?”
“Right here, Sweet Potato,”
“All right, once you find what you need send the signal and I’ll get you out,” said Gus. “You don’t wanna be in there a second longer than you need to.”
“Hey!” Hunter said, offended.
“Nothing personal,” said Gus preparing the spell. “Okay guys get ready.”
“Is this gonna hurt?” Hunter asked, concerned.
“Only if I do it wrong,” said Gus. “But I haven’t gotten practice it yet, so we’ll see.”
-
Hunter’s mind appeared to be under construction. The girls found themselves in an open field, a gentle breeze blowing and the sky with just the right amount of clouds. Before them stood a grand building, seemingly being rebuilt. They walk towards an once inside they saw a grand hallway of paintings being repainted by themselves. The lines would see I truce and then relapse, sometimes altering very little as if being resceanned to verify their authenticity.
“Looks like Hunter’s still processing everything he learned about Belos,” said Amity. “I read about this, it’s changing the entire outlook of the memory, sometimes it unlocks things that were repressed.”
“Is it safe to be here?” Luz asked, mesmerized and terrified of the large paintings. “Aren’t things kind falling apart in here?”
“We just need to be extra careful,” said Amity. “Strictly looking, I’m worried with the state of everything the inner Hunter might be crumbling too. We shouldn’t interact with anything.”
“Right, strictly snooping,” said Luz as they began to wander. Most of the memories were unhelpful and they started to rewind at random places, the tone and volume shifting as the true meaning was being interpreted. But it all clearly belonged to Hunter.
They wandered for awhile as they memories free more coherent, but what they found was mostly lonely and draining.
“His core memories are shifting,” noticed Amity. “We need to find something more recent, it should be more clear and not shifting as much.”
“Hey here’s one with Willow!” Luz called.
“Good, at least we know it more recent,” said Amity joining her to view. “Looks like a flyer derby match.”
“Is it me or is she glowing?” Asked Luz, squinting to get a better look. “It’s like there’s a halo or a spotlight on her. Aw, she looks like an angel.”
Willow flew forward on her staff in midst of a very intense game that seemed to have been neck and neck for awhile. The crowd look onward as she scored a point, looking frantically behind her as though searching for something. Hunter appeared out of nowhere, snatching flags left and right before appearing at the posts to seal their victory.
The stands cheered as Hunter sailed around as he delivered the finals flag and floated to Willow who eagerly greeted him with open arms. He remained on his staff as he floated beside her and Willow leaned up to give Hunter an eager celebratory kiss. She placed her free hand on his cheek as the other steadied herself in the air. He closed his eyes and returned the kiss, nearly falling of his staff as raised brought up his hand to hold the side of her face. The action seemed natural and famialr as though they had done it a thousand times before. They were lost in their moment, unaware and uncaring of the crowd around them, focused on each other.
“WHAT?!” exclaimed Luz and Amity together.
“When did this happen?!” Amity screamed.
“Why wouldn’t she tell me?” Luz screamed at the same time.
“How long has this been going on?”
“Do you think she told Gus and not me?”
“Did you know?” They finished in union facing each other.
“No!” Said Luz. “Did you?”
“No,” said Amity. “But it doesn’t make sense-.”
“Hey! Willow is a catch and Hunter is… better than he was…”
“No, no that,” said Amity. “Well, yes, that, but look at how choppy the memory is.”
“So?”
“So, it’s different than the other memories, it’s not altering itself but something off in a different way,” explained Amity. “This seems like an important memory so everything is crisp and clear, but it’s like it’s only this moment. There should be more, but it stops here. The background isn’t consistent, like it’s composed of different memories overlapping. I think this is a dream.”
“Oh that makes way more sense, cause Willow would have definitely told me about this.”
“If I’m right then we’ve entered a dangerous part of the mind,” said Amity. “We’re deeper than his subconscious; we’re in his imagination. This is more than memories these are his thoughts, dreams, and feelings. They not necessary real but they can still be dangerous. Dreams, nightmares, anything can live in here. Anything Hunter can imagine.”
“And I guess he imagines a lot of Willow,” said Luz who ran ahead to scan the rest of the dreams, viewing a scene of Hunter and Willow dancing at his idea of Grom. “Is he taller in his dreams? Or does his boot just have a higher heel?”
“Luz, I don’t think we’ll find anything here, this part looks too new to be something Belos knew about,” said Amity, glancing at the windows she passed.
“Oh woah, look at this one he has goatee!” Luz said, having too much fun as she directed Amity to her window.
“Wait a minute, is this… are they..?”
“Oh my gosh, he dreamt about them getting married!” gushed Luz, watching the scene as a future dream Willow walked down the aisle, her hair longer but still in her beloved braids adorned with dozens of flowers. Hunter, old enough to have grown a goatee and rid himself of his under-eye bags, looked at her with utter adoration as he awaited her in an outfit of green and gold. “Oh, look at Willow’s dress! She looks so pretty! Hey, where am I? I should be the maid of honor.”
“Luz…”
“I know you’ve known her longer so I won’t be mad if it’s you but I should at least be a bridesmaid,” said Luz scanning the crowd. “Look, Gus is there. Aw! Can we stay to hear their vows? Look at the flowers! I can’t wait to get back and tell Willow-.”
“Luz you can’t tell Willow about any of this,” said Amity, turning her girlfriend away from the sentimental scene. “Clearly, Hunter has feelings for Willow that he’s not ready to share with her. It makes sense why he didn’t want her to come here.”
“Awh, you’re right Bonita,” said Luz. “Sorry, my little shipper heart just got excited.”
“Once he confesses though, I fully intend to mercilessly tease him about this,” said Amity. “But this isn’t why we’re here; we need a memory to follow, something out of place…”
“Flapjack!”
“No, it would be something more specific from his past, something out of place-.”
“No but look it’s Flapjack with Hunter but he’s… different?” Luz said, pointing ahead. Flapjack excitedly chirped around Hunter’s head as he laughed, but Hunter didn’t quite look like himself. His hair was styled differently and he didn’t have his scars. Even in his own dreams he did not look like this. “Flapjack doesn’t have his scar, he had it when Hunter found him. I can tell by the lighting it’s not a dram but this memory can’t be his.”
“Luz, what if Belos hid Caleb’s memories inside Hunter’s dreams?” Amity said, connecting the dots.
“We just need to follow the right memory!” Luz exclaimed. “Follow him!”
“Hey Caleb!”
———
Outside, Willow and Gus were sitting Hunter who attempted to mediate to create a clearer mind for Luz and Amity to be in. Willow sat beside him, monitoring his breathing as he tried to steady it despite her eyes locked on him.
“Just try not to think about it,” advised Gus.
“When has that ever been the effective to not think about something?” Said Hunter, trying to keep a calm consistent tone.
“Just picture a field,” said Willow. “A calm, wide field.”
“A field, a field,” Hunter repeated. Willow knew he struggled relaxing under normal circumstances and knew repetition was a part of his process. Her hand hovered over his, hesitant to take it worried he wanted distance from her.
“Uh oh,” Gus said suddenly and Willow pulled her hand back, moving further from Hunter.
“Nothing! I mean, I wasn’t-,” muttered Willow.
“Willow, we might have a situation,” said Gus.
“Oh you meant-oh no! Is Hunter okay?” Willow asked, standing up to see him better.
“It’s nothing yet, but he shouldn’t be levitating the way he is right now!” Said Gus and Willow saw Hunter had indeed began to clot subtly from his seat.
“If someone was wouldn’t they call on the radio?”
“I dunno what’s going on but I can’t pull them out,” Gus said. “They’re stuck and we need to guide them out.”
“How?”
“You need to go in and find them!”
“But Hunter doesn’t want me in his mind!”
“If you don’t go there won’t be a mind to be in!”
“Are you sure you can handle three people?”
“I’m gonna have to, but make it quick!”
———
Willow arrived where Luz and Amity had, the field was calm and bright now. She looked around for clarification the spell had worked and was greeted by a familiar face.
“Are you the inner Hunter?” Willow asked timidly.
“I am,” he responded, offering his arm to her. “Let me take you to what you’re looking for.”
“You’re not… upset that I’m here?” She asked as she took it, and the Inner Hunter simply smiled.
“Not at all, you’re always welcome here,” he said. His voice was calm and confident. “I have a bit more clarity than the Hunter you know, thought there’s still a lot to sort out. You know, I’ve been in quite a disarray since I met you.”
“Me?”
“Yes,” he said with a fond sigh. “Well, not just you. There’s been so much happening and changing recently, a lot to unlearn and process, but you were a good change. You sparked a new path, you were our first kindred spirit.”
“You mean besides Flapjack, right?” She said with a small smile.
“Of course,” he said retuning her smile, continuing to lead her through the path. “It began as admiration, of course we’ve admired people before, but so often that admiration birthed insecurity and anxiety. But you were worthy of admiration without trying to be. We had put up walls and acts and convinced ourselves that we were content with loneliness, that we were worthless without approval. But you were patient. You were kind without any ulterior motives and honest without cruel intentions. I felt seen and welcome because you saw the best in me I could see it to. And I liked it. To have someone let me fail, to want me around, to care about me and not my title, well I was in utter turmoil. I thought I knew who I was, thought I knew my place in the world. But after I met you, I had rethink it all.”
“Oh wow, I’m sorry.”
“I’m not,” he went on. “Your genuineness inspired emotions that had been repressed for years to come forth. Before this was all guilt, fear, and arrogance. But hope and happiness have started to bloom, and they’re rooted in a more solid and healthy foundation.”
“I did all that?”
“You helped start it,” he said. “Having your trust allowed us to trust others, to want to be worthy of trust. Your kindness inspired kindness. The confidence true friendship inspires can really help you grow.”
“I think I know what you mean,” she said. “I’m glad I met you too. But if you really think all those things about me, why didn’t you want me to come here? I mean, I’m sorry, you shouldn’t have to explain that to me I should just respect your decison, I just wanted to help-.”
“I know,” he said. “But the feelings for you are… complicated. And we’ve had our share of complicated feelings, about many things, but somehow these are complicated in a way that isn’t bad. Just new.”
“I see,”
“Your friends are over here,” he said as they stopped, pointing to the grand building Hunter’s mind had conjured to store his dreams. “Sorry, our friends are over there. See? Still new.”
“Yeah,” she said. “Are you… gonna remember telling me all this?”
“Maybe,” he said. “This mind has been through a lot, fact and fiction merge and blur and change so much that some memories are hard to trust. But at the end of the day, we’re not afraid of you knowing how much we care about you. Because you deserve to be reminded of how special you are.”
“Wow, thanks,” she said, blushing.
“You better get to them, there’s not much time,” he said. “They’ve unlocked some pretty serious nightmares.”
“How do I save them from such a dark nightmare?” She asked looking on as clouds surrounding the building.
“You just find a brighter dream,” he said simply, looking at her.
-
In no time, the three girls sprang forth, unharmed but not unshaken as Willow’s presence helped free them from Caleb’s memory of Philip. Hunter woke up begrudgingly as the trio gathered their bearings.
“We have a lead! We have a lead!” Said Luz, rising to her feet. “And we didn’t set anything on fire!”
“I feel like that shouldn’t be as common and you all keep suggesting,” groaned Hunter as he sat up, his head aching.
“There might be another portal,” said Amity ignoring his question. “We found a bunch of Caleb’s memories from earth and Luz says she’s seen the places nearby. It might be a clue, we need a map!”
The two rushed out of the room to grab the history book Hunte that soften early that contained map of the town from hears ago. Willow had exited with Luz and Amauri but remained quiet as they rushed theough their findings.
“You okay Gus?” She asked.
“Yeah, just dehydrated I’m gonna grab a juice box while they’re liking for the map,” he said darting out of the room.
“What about you?” She asked turning to Hunter.
“Me? Uh, no thanks I don’t want to a juicebox,”
“No, are you okay?” She asked with a laugh. “If I remember this part correctly you probably have a really bad headache right now.”
“Well, maybe a little…” he admitted, taking a deep breath. “Thank you for helping them, Captain.”
“So you remember then huh?”
“Yes,” he nodded. “I know you respected my request and only went in to save me. Thankfully, my inner self is a more eloquent speaker. He’s had more practice. So I hope you understood why-?”
“Everyone needs privacy,” reassured Willow. “It’s good to set boundaries, but just know I’m here whenever you want to talk.”
“Thank you, Captain,” said Hunter, glad to know there was no resentment. “By the way, uh, you didn’t happen to see anything else whe you where in there, right? Like after you left the inner Hunter you didn’t like look around did you?”
“Why? Was there something specific you-?”
“No, no!” Hunter stuttered, not wanting to go into detail. “Just, uh, wondering is all.”
“Nothing embarrassing, I promise,” she said with a chuckle, sitting beside him a she heard Amity and Luz begin running down the hallway. She placed her hand strategically close to his. “But can I ask you a totally random question?”
“Yeah, what?”
“How long do you think it would take for you to grow a goatee?”

Luz Noceda-Blight "Mamá" (She/they, 45)
I let her keep the fang from the Titan Luz transformation. They also now have different color eyes.
Snake tattoo in honor of Manny. Like from the storyboards.
Still wears Amity's moon 🌒 necklace (also they switched earrings)
I gave her glasses and more belly, like Camila.
Owns a bookstore that sells human and witch books in Bonesborough.
Has already written at least one YA fantasy novel, published under an alias in the human world.
Still writes fanfiction but she only has WiFi to publish a new chapter when the portal to Earth is open.
People stop them for autographs on the street still.
Has learned to master King's glyph language and can now do magic again even without Stringbean.
King can turn her into her Titan form but only for very limited time and they're both weakened for a few minutes after. (Amity likes the Titan form tho 😳)
Their nieces and nephews call them "tía" or "tíe".
Taught both her kids Spanish.
Volunteers at the Bonesborough Orphanage, which is where they got Camilo from.
Sings her kids lullabies, both in English and in Spanish.
Is a consultant for the students learning about the human world at the University of Wild Magic.
Screams at her kids in Spanish when she's mad.
Both moms cook but Luz is the main cook of the household.
Can still lift Amity with their strong nerd arms (Amity swoons).
Amity Noceda-Blight "Mom" (She/her, 45)
Alador's hook nose.
Abomination hair like Darius.
A bit taller than Luz (by a few centimeters).
Thicc thighs save lives (broke Luz's neck by sitting on her face at least once).
Helps Hooty take care of the museum now that Lilith retired.
Still goes to read to kids at the library. (Sometimes Luz comes with her!)
Working full time as an abomination inventor/mechanic/engineer. Alador is also retired.
Has tried dyeing her hair lots of different colors before settling on this look.
Can turn into an abomination like Darius when she's angry.
Luz and Camila taught her some human food recipes, she finally understands that humans can't eat fairy pie.
Her nieces and nephews call her "Aunt Mittens".
Has to remind Luz to take their meds every morning.
Don't talk to her unless she's had her coffee.
She's the one that helps the kids do their hair.
Azúl Noceda-Blight (He/they, 8)
I wanted his name to be something more original. Too many people name their Lumity kids Azura. I went with Azúl because it's similar to Azura but not exactly the same, it's a Spanish name and it goes well with the character design.
Artificial pregnancy (Luz was the pregnant one).

Sputtering for air now that his lungs works again, he leans against the basin with his arms, focusing on the sensation of it trickling down his neck. The cool air turns frigid against his soaking wet face and shirt.

____________
Dinner is… strange.
Not the food. The food is delicious, of course.
The strange part is the way everyone seems to keep glancing at him when they think he isn’t looking. It makes him almost self-conscious in a way he’s never really been before, but he’s also too sore even after the shower and too hungry to care, really.
The Golden Guard all but scarfs the meal down, trying to eat it before anything gets the chance to interrupt and take it away from him. When they were twelve and had officially passed the trials to become a Coven Scout, it took them a month to learn how to eat entire meals within minutes without getting sick. The Guard would normally forgo utensils all together, they just get in the way for him, but Hunter still had some amount of decorum.
(Truth be told, the royal etiquette lessons they'd been given when they were a child were still implanted deep in Hunter’s psyche. He still raises his pinkie every time he drinks from a cup with a handle, and is so perfectly polite and mannerly at the dinner table that it makes Blight look like a rude slob.)
(Hunter's manners when he's away from the dinner table is a whole different story. The Guard is convinced that the very sight of a meal set atop a polished wooden surface activates something deep in Hunter's subconscious that makes him straighten his back and hold his utensils with a practiced grace that only seems effortless.)
Luz tries to keep spirits high. She really does. It’s an admirable effort but, considering that they had all seen her not even able to walk after getting beat up only hours ago, her jokes were destined to fall flat.
She sits there and picks at her meal with a grimace as Mrs. Noceda talks about contacting the school about their bullying problem. She tried to object at first, saying that it won’t do anything, but Mrs. Noceda and Amity had both silenced her with sharp looks. Willow and Gus had seemed sympathetic with her argument, though.
After dinner, everyone disperses for an early bedtime, exhausted from the adrenaline comedown. The Guard follows all of their leads and settles down in the sleep sack on the floor for the night.
Gus watches him unsubtly after he willingly forgoes changing into any sleeping clothes. The jeans Hunter put on this morning were more than comfortable enough for him.
“Hunter,” The younger boy says, drawing the Guard’s attention. “Are you… sure that you’re okay? It’s just that… you really did a number on the human that hurt Luz.”
“It was a lesson.” He explains plainly, staring down at his hands. “I was teaching him about consequences.”
“And you think beating someone up like that is a… reasonable method of teaching?”
(“I am only trying to help you. You’ll never learn to succeed if you don’t understand the reality of what failure will bring.”)
“Sometimes,” He starts, his mind somewhere else. Somewhere lined in white and gold. “Being taught something the hard way is the only way a person will learn. Even if the methods seem severe.”
After he says it, Gus just stares at him silently for a long time. The Guard lays down onto his back, waiting for him to just say what he wants to say.
“This might be too much to ask,” He says slowly, as if trying to soothe a wild animal, and the Guard is already done with the conversation. “But did… did you–?”
“No.” He shuts Gus down and rolls over, turning his back to him. “Goodnight.”
“...Okay. Night, Hunter.”
The Guard hardly even questions the decision to fall asleep, despite the taste of blood and dirt in his mouth. When he closes his eyes, the sound of the ticking clock on the wall melts into the beating of a heart.
When he opens them, he is in the same place he's found himself in every single night for his whole life.
He can smell it– that specific combination of polished metal, old stone, burning tree sap, bog mud, and rot . It permeates the room like a cloud of poison and leaves his mouth dry and his shoulders always tense.
Blinking away the darkness from his eyes, he can see the empty throne from his place on the floor. The side of his face that is currently pressed against the floor is burning, the skin layers scrubbed away by friction and already weeping into the warm stone. It’s always so warm here.
“Stand.”
When he tries to obey, it’s like swimming through abomination muck. His arms complain fiercely about continuing to move and his legs tremble like jelly.
“On your feet, Hunter.”
He lets out an involuntary whimper as he finally pushes himself up with his arms, locking his elbows even as they shake violently under his weight.
“Do not make me say it a third time.”
He swallows back the bile rising in his throat as he clings to the pillar next to him, desperately trying to plant his feet flat to the ground. When he stands with his legs under him, leaning against the stone heavily, he finally looks up to his uncle with blurry, fading vision. It's too hard to make out any details, but the green contrasting against the pale of his skin stands out like a raven in a murder.
Belos is holding his staff, the bulb glowing a terrible bright red. He stands across the room, mask off and frowning deeply. “You are making this very difficult, Hunter.”
He swallows the blood in his mouth. Each of his breaths are more like gasps, his lungs desperately trying to keep drawing in air even when each inhale feels like a sharp stab. “I’m sorry, Uncle.”
Belos clicks his tongue at him, frustrated. “Apologies mean nothing if you cannot learn from them.”
“I will– I am.” He rasps, bowing his head to fight the wave of nausea that rolls through him. “I swear. I swear.”
“So you’ve said,” Belos sighs. “And yet here we are, for the fifth day in a row. It makes me wonder if you truly want to–”
“I do!” The room spins. Drool drips from his lips as he fights to hold back any retching. It stains the glossy floor red. “I– I want to, please… please.”
For a moment, neither of them speak any further. The beating of the Titan’s heart fills his ears and makes his already concussed head pound in agony, the deep bass of the giant organ echoing against his skull.
Then, Belos heaves out a great sigh.
“Fine. I will heal you, but just this once.” The Emperor says. A bright red fills his vision and freezes his body in place. “Hold for a tick.”
The red grows brighter and he becomes weightless, his stomach dropping unpleasantly at the sensation. A warmth spreads through him, traveling through his nervous system and digging into his bones. It grows warmer and warmer, his limbs tingling as if waking from sleep.
It does not stop getting hotter.
Within seconds, the nauseating fever transitions into a sensation not unlike swallowing a cup of pure molten metal. He chokes on the scream begging to burst out of his immobile throat.
Every inch of him feels as if he’s been set ablaze from the inside out, his blood boiling inside his veins and his nerves scorching white-hot across his entire body. The searing pain is agonizing and unending, every second like an eternity as his muscles seize and try to spasm even though he cannot move a single centimeter. The burning torment is unbearable; he would have passed out thirty times over already if not for the spell he's been caught in. The magic forces him to stay awake but renders him unable to do anything but sit there and endure the excruciating feeling of his marrow being broiled inside the bone.
There's no room for words in his head as his heart beats hard and fast enough that his chest expands and threatens to burst open like a birdcage. All that runs through his mind is a desperate pleading for his heart to give out, his lungs to implode, or his skull to cave in under the pressure, if only to just make it all stop.
It ends, suddenly and without warning. The pain is gone in the blink of an eye, leaving his body feeling icy and numb in its absence.
He’s dropped to the floor in the middle of the throne room, landing face down on the dark green carpet. Every inch of him shakes violently in the wake of his torture, but the pain and exhaustion has vanished. This time, he lifts himself to his feet without assistance. His mouth still tastes like copper.
“Better now?” Belos asks him, standing only feet away now. He forces himself to nod, keeping his head bowed to hide his watery eyes. “Now, I don’t want you to become reliant on being healed like this. You must understand, the world will not be as kind to you as I am. You will be forced to either kill, or be killed. That is what I am trying to teach you. Do you understand?”
“I understand, Uncle.” His voice comes out small, quiet. “Thank you.”
There’s a hand on his head, tipping it back to make him look up at the Emperor. “You are too important to lose, nephew. The Titan needs you.” Belos smiles down at him and releases him. “Now, let’s try this once more.”
He watches his uncle take several steps back until he's about twenty feet away, both hands gripping the staff. He swallows thickly and crouches into a defensive stance, bracing himself.
“Oh, and Hunter,” Belos calls from across the room. “I need you to know something important.”
“Yes?”
“This hurts me far more than it hurts you.”
He doesn’t even have time to put his hands up before Belos is already on him, swinging the staff right towards his head–
The Golden Guard wakes with a gasp, and slams a hand over his mouth before his strangled scream could bubble from his throat.
The waking world slams into him all at once, pulling him from the throne room and back into the dark safety of the basement. He tries to breathe through it, but he can almost feel his veins still burning.
(He can still smell it– the stale air, the mud, the rot.)
(He can still hear the Titan’s heartbeat pounding in his ears.)
The Guard can feel the way his mind is already beginning to pull away from him again, the seams already coming undone in his hands. He shakes his head and gets to his feet quickly, trying desperately to get a grip before the wallpaper of reality starts peeling at the edges.
With feather-light steps, he nearly runs into the basement's small bathroom. He doesn’t turn the light on or spare even a glance into the mirror, knowing the second he catches a glimpse of his reflection that the ground will fall out beneath him.
There's zero hesitation when he throws water from the tap into his face. The water, icy cold from sitting in the buried pipes all night, clears the static from his vision in an instant and makes him gasp. Sputtering for air now that his lungs works again, he leans against the basin with his arms, focusing on the sensation of it it trickling down his neck. The cool air turns frigid against his soaking wet face and shirt.
“Belos is dead,” He whispers, wetting his dry tongue with the water dripping off his lips. “He’s dead, and you’re awake. You’re awake.”
He splashes his face again and then leans down to drink straight from the faucet. It cools his throat and settles heavy in his stomach, grounding him.
When he leaves the bathroom, all he can smell is old fabric mixed with something uniquely human and all he can hear is Gus's breathing and the clock on the wall ticking away. He manages to make out the time in the low light– he had only slept for a few hours before the nightmare woke him.
Then, he realizes that he is still himself. Or, rather, the Golden Guard realizes he is still in control. For a moment he considers attempting to sleep again so that Hunter can retake control in their sleep, but he huffs in frustration.
There is no sleeping through the nightmares. At least, not for him, not unless he wants to spend all night going down memory lane. No, he needs to wait for Hunter to come back. Hunter is the only one who can get enough sleep to keep the body functional.
The Guard sighs again and runs his hand through his damp hair before making his way upstairs, leaving his sleeping palisman behind.
(How it can tell the difference, he will never know, but it’s become increasingly obvious that Flapjack prefers Hunter more. He can’t even understand the palisman whenever it chirps at him, and Hunter’s read enough about wild magic for the Guard to know that means the bird just doesn’t like him.)
The whole house is just as dark as the basement. The only light available comes from the various electronics and appliances scattered across the home and from the streetlamps outside. The yellow gleam filters in through the windows, casting eerie shadows across the walls.
Footsteps light as possible, the Guard walks close to the walls to avoid making the floorboards creak. He paces the whole of the ground floor, clearing corners and checking the locks.
(It’s exactly what he did for the first week or so here. When the nightmares were fresh and sending him into panic attacks every single night, ones that were so bad the two of them ended up blurred together in their head.)
(The Golden Guard couldn’t tell where he’d ended and Hunter began those nights, so they’d resorted to doing whatever they could to assure themselves of their safety until Hunter felt like himself again.)
With the first floor secure, he carefully climbs to the second. He doesn’t risk entering any rooms to check their window locks, but he still peeks in to make sure everyone is safe.
He lingers in the doorway to the girls’ room, watching Luz closely for a moment to make certain she was still breathing; that the steady up and down of her chest wasn’t just the shadows playing tricks on him.
Once he was certain, he went back downstairs and did another circle around the ground floor. All the rooms were clear and every possible entrance locked. Still, he feels unsteady. Just barely on the edge of safe and unsafe. The back of his neck prickles, the shadows playing tricks on him in the corners of his eyes.
(It feels like he’s being watched.)
After grabbing a heavy iron poker from next to the fireplace, unwilling to wake his palisman for this, the Guard sucks in a breath and steps out of the back door. The night is chilly, his breath visible in the air as if he were about to breathe fire. The Isles only ever got this cold on the Knee.
The Guard stands on the middle step of the small back porch, eyes scanning the forest line behind the house. He can hear the rustle of the trees in the chilled breeze, the soft scampering of nocturnal wildlife. An owl calls into the night, the hoot bouncing off the trees.
The moon grants him just enough light to spot a rabbit just at the edge of the woods. Its fur helps it blend in with the underbrush, but the Guard caught the reflection of its eyes in the dark. It seems to have spotted him, too, and stares like a deer in the headlights.
For a moment, the world shrinks to just him and the rabbit. It stands perfectly still, looking right at him the way wild demons have before pouncing during run-ins in the past. The Guard wonders if Mrs. Noceda would forgive him for skewering it with her poker if it turns out to be like those rabbits from the human movie with the knights and the sacred cup.
The door behind him shifts and creaks, and the Golden Guard tears his eyes away to address the threat, brandishing the poker at whoever or whatever has decided to sneak up on him.
“Hey! Woah!” Luz startles, throwing her hands up. “Chill out, it’s just me.”
The Guard lowers the weapon instantly. “What are you doing?”
“Uh, what are you doing?”
He doesn’t reply, turning away from her again. His gaze goes back to where the rabbit was, but it’s gone. He didn’t even hear it scamper away back into the underbrush.
“Hunter?” Luz pokes her head out the door and glances around. “Did… did you see something?”
“No,” He says, keeping his eyes on the forest. “Do you?”
“No.” She echoes. Closing the door behind her, she steps up next to him.
“You should be asleep.”
“And so should you.” She puts her hands in the pockets on her vintage grudgby jacket. “We can do this back and forth thing all night, but how about you just cut to the chase and tell me why you’re out here?”
He huffs. “Go back to bed.”
“Nope.” Luz shuffles in place, seemingly determined to stand out here with him. He sits down on the steps instead. She follows without hesitation, tucking in close to him.
He stares into the middle distance, not focusing on any specific part. There’s a fog encroaching, covering his vision in mist. The world begins to blur as he sits there.
(There’s– something.)
The sky feels so big, almost too big. Like ants in an auditorium. There’s a numbness to his limbs. Maybe it’s the chill in the air creeping into his bones, but maybe he’s just losing himself again.
(There. Right there.)
Any semblance of thought is beginning to slip through his hands like water, but the sky is black and starless and endless and he is going to trip and fall right into it.
(Did you see it?)
There’s something wrong with his lungs. They’re frozen in between one breath and another, almost petrified in the silence of the woods.
(Because it sees you.)
“Hunter.”
With a sharp inhale that straightens his spine and pushes back his shoulders, the Golden Guard’s vision sharpens. The haze lifts from his eyes, and his skin prickles with gooseflesh as he regains awareness of his limbs.
There’s a terrible heaviness in his bones. He tries to clench his hand into a fist but it’s as if there’s a half-second delay to it. Someone says a name again, and he looks up. Luz is staring.
“Did you hear me?”
He stares back. The idea of forming words with his throat feels like an insurmountable task. She doesn’t seem to mind, though.
“I said we should go back in.” Luz tugs on his sleeve. Her hand is warm. “Come on. It’s been like, an hour. Nothing is out there.”
With little resistance, he lets the human drag him back inside the house. She even allows him to herd her in first while he follows without comment. As he turns his back to make sure the door locks behind them, Luz gasps.
Adrenaline spikes through his heart (galderstone?) and it’s pure instinct when he shoves her behind him and holds the poker out in front of him. Yet, once again, there is no true threat.
“Gus!” Luz heaves out a sigh of relief upon seeing him standing in the kitchen’s entryway. The Guard lowers his makeshift weapon. “My guy, you gotta stop forgetting that humans can’t see in the dark very well.”
“My bad.” He says sheepishly, stepping from the shadows into a beam of moonlight. The Guard frowns. It’s far past curfew, why are both of them out of bed? “I was looking for Hunter. …What were you two doing out there?”
When Luz steps closer to Gus and begins to whisper to him, only for Gus’s eyes to immediately dart to him, The Guard decides to leave the kitchen to go replace the iron fireplace tool in its holder. The witches behind him keep talking in low tones, the words too quiet and muffled by the walls for the Guard to make out any words. He knows they're talking about him and he simply cannot find it in himself to care.
Instead, he checks the time again and… oh. Luz wasn’t exaggerating, earlier. That nightmare must have shaken him more than he thought. How come Hunter hasn’t come back yet?
He wishes not for the first time that he had control over this. It’s never on purpose, even if his desire to take the reins often matches when it happens. It’s like their brain just knows when Hunter needs him most. Normally, he doesn’t have time to question why their brain works in this way before Hunter’s consciousness bubbles back up.
Though, this wasn’t a normal switch-off between them. When he’d taken control earlier, it was like a snap of his fingers and then Hunter was just… gone. They hadn’t even been blurred together first, like they did on most of their jobs during their time in the Emperor’s Coven.
The Guard huffs in frustration and tears his eyes away from the clock. The ticking had begun to echo in his head, pinning him to the hardwood floor beneath his feet. He forces himself out of the living room and wanders to the front door, peeking out of the peephole first and then pulling back the curtain of the left window.
The street is still and quiet, just as the backyard had been. Not even a single car passes by as he watches. The golden street lights line the black asphalt in perfectly spaced rows and not a single lamp gives away the shifting shadows of any would-be enemies or intruders. There’s just the distant, muffled chirping that Vee had explained was coming from harmless insects, and that the human realm was not home to any of the wild demons that used the same noises to lure unsuspecting witches to their deaths.
“Hey, Hunter.”
Most of the time, Hunter nor the Golden Guard ever really interacted with the Coven Heads for long enough to end up so distracted that they could be startled, and neither of them would’ve dared to give the Emperor anything but their full and alert attention. No, it was normally the Scouts who always made the same mistake of sneaking up on them.
The friendlier ones, the ones who weren’t either afraid or scornful of them and thus had no qualms walking right up and slapping them on the back out of camaraderie, often got hit hardest for it because they were the ones who never saw it coming. Even Steve had accidentally startled them on one of their especially bad days. The whole incident led Hunter to feel so guilty about it that he had personally escorted him to the Healer’s wing of the Coven barracks to make sure his elbow got set back into the socket as quickly and painlessly as possible.
(It was surprising that out of all the people he left behind in the Demon Realm, Steve was one of the people he missed most. Sure, Hunter was on good terms with Deamonne and Eberwolf, but the Guard wasn’t so quick to forget the past. Steve had always been a friend to both of them.)
So, really, it’s a miracle that the Golden Guard doesn’t instinctively drive his elbow right into Gus’s nose.
Instead, he freezes just as he reels his arm back. Gus doesn’t even flinch in response, showcasing the frankly terrifying amount of trust he has in them in such a casual manner. That look in the younger boy’s eyes is what makes his entire body just stop in the middle of an unconscious reaction.
(Gus may be younger, but both Hunter and the Guard know better than anyone that it doesn’t mean he’s any less intelligent. Truthfully, it’s almost unnerving how very aware of everything Gus is.)
(He has always been observant like that, but Hunter has been swearing to himself that something changed in Gus after the Day of Unity.)
(Looking at him now, the Guard is inclined to agree. There’s something in his eyes that wasn’t there before.)
“We’re having a TV night since apparently none of us can sleep.” Gus tells him, not even letting his own eyes move from the Guard’s wide-eyed gaze towards his slowly lowering arm. The lack of natural curiosity is suspicious. In fact, the boy’s innocent smile and arms folded behind his back all scream that he’s putting on an act.
The Golden Guard tries to get his throat to cooperate this time, but the words refuse to form. He’s forced to resort to tilting his head and squinting at Gus. This does nothing to deter him.
“Come on, Luz is setting it up.” Gus grabs the Guard by the wrist and drags him away from the door. With lightning-fast reflexes, he quickly makes sure the door is locked before he succumbs to his fate.
Luz is already comfortable on the couch and flips through channels before settling on one. She smiles at the pair as they enter, her busted lip pulling at the skin. Gus practically forces him onto the couch by sitting next to Luz and dragging him down until he sits on his other side.
“Hope you guys like George Lopez 'cause that’s the only thing still on this late that's decent.” Luz says as she pulls down the blanket folded on the back of the sofa and lays it over her lap.
Gus doesn’t hesitate in digging his scrawny legs into the blanket and making Luz yelp over his icy cold shins. She quickly slams a hand over her mouth, aware that she was far louder than she should have been, but when there’s no squeak of the floorboards to announce any new arrivals, she relaxes again. She does her best demon growl impression at Gus, who simply sticks his tongue out at her in response.
The Guard watches this happen idly but disconnected from the scene. He’s present and close enough to feel Gus moving against him as he and Luz begin attempting to out-shush each other, but it’s as if he were hanging on by nothing but a tendon and some sinew.
The idea of just letting go scares him. If he lets the tendon snap and allows himself to float away, how will he keep them safe? He can’t fight to protect any of them if all he can do is fight just to keep his head above water for long enough to have coherent thoughts.
His eyes drift to the darkened entryway. The shadows aren’t solid and thick, but filled with buzzing TV static. The floor and walls blend together the more he stares at them, both becoming an amalgam of darkness and a visual blizzard. The more he looks, the more he can’t look away.
Something in his chest catches when he swears he sees the shadow begin to swell and swirl around itself, as if trying to form into something more tangible.
A hand appears in front of his face, cutting through his vision. The curled fingers go up slowly one by one, and before he even realizes what’s happening, the Guard finds himself breathing in time with it like it's a muscle memory.
He doesn’t realize he wasn't breathing until he sucks in a breath. There's a feeling almost like his lungs are covered in cracked and dried clay but it's gone by the second breath. The shadows don't stop moving in the corner of his eye, but he can see there's no threat except his own mind playing tricks on him.
“You good?” Gus asks, and the Guard looks at him. He’s the one holding up his hand. When he gets a nod, the illusionist lowers it back down into his lap.
The optical susurration doesn't fade even as he settles down. It remains, disturbing his perception even when his eyes are closed. The Guard stares at his hands and watches the pale of his fingers blur into the dark of the floor and his jeans. He can see patterns across his vision, invisible but not. If he focuses hard enough, he can see something almost like smoke or steam rising from his skin.
Luz tilts her head in the corner of his eye, drawing his gaze back to her. “You wanna talk about it?” She offers, but he quickly shakes his head no.
“That’s fine.” Gus is quick to reassure him. “But…”
He and Luz share a glance behind his back. The Golden Guard braces himself for more invasive questioning that he will continue to ignore.
“You know we’re all safe, right?”
He turns his head rapidly to stare at Gus. He stares right back. The Guard looks to Luz, who does the same thing.
“Yeah,” She backs Gus up. “You've done a great job, but you can rest now.”
Oh.
That was all he needed, wasn’t it? The assurance that he did well, that his mission was over. After all, Luz was protected and the worst of her injuries already nearly healed. Any and all threats were taken care of swiftly. The house is secured. Everyone is safe and sound.
"Okay." He rasps, moving his mouth and pushing air through his still paralyzed vocal chords.
It's enough. Luz says something before turning back to watch her show and Gus gets up with a comment about popped corn, but the Guard barely notices. All of his focus is on the fact that he can feel it coming, now. Like a sandstorm on the horizon. Or a receding tide before a tsunami. Something distinctly foreign but not making a home in his chest and behind his eyes and twitching in his spine.
The Golden Guard completed his main objective, and now he’s been formally dismissed.
It feels nothing like falling asleep. It doesn't even feel like losing consciousness. No, it's more like he loses focus on himself. The world blurs and he becomes distinctly uncomfortable in his own skin. Then, he blinks, and he's just... gone.
(The last thing he thinks before he lets go is how grateful he is that Hunter won't wake up alone.)

Fanfic of Odalia finding out Willow was technically recruited to the EC (about 1k words, takes place after Any Sport in a Storm but before Hollow Mind)
Having Willow Park over in the Blight household was always a risky decision. Fortunately, Odalia Blight won’t be home for a little while longer. Amity Blight savors the final bit of time she gets with her friend before she’ll have to shoo her home and pretend it all never happened. The two paint each others’ nails. Willow decorates Amity’s with a bright pink, a pleasant change from her usual black polish. Willow insists on choosing a soft red. Interesting, Amity notes, I didn’t know she liked red. It was really no surprise that the plant witch would gravitate toward the color green. The green continue their peaceful moment when there was a knock on the door.
Amity opens the door to find an intricate uniform and golden mask. Willow, standing behind her, runs and tackles Hunter in a hug. He removes the mask while Amity smirks, happy that her friend is finally branching out.
“Hunter!” Willow cries, happily.
“Oh, hi, Willow. I wasn’t aware you’d be here,” he replies. Amity coughs. “Right. Hi, Amity.”
“Hi. How’re you doing?” Amity asks, genuinely curious.
“Me? Fine,” he seems surprised she asked. “I kinda expected you to be more, uh, mad. At me.” Willow winces.
“I was never mad at you,” Amity says, flatly. “I was-” She trails off. I was worried about you.
“Oh, um, thanks good, I guess.”
“So,” Amity inquires, “what are you doing here, then?”
“The abomatons,” Hunter explains, “I’m supposed to check with your parents on the progress.”
“They’re not here right now,” Amity says.
“And thank Titan for that,” Willow scoffs, causing Hunter to tilt his head in confusion.
“Why’s that?” he asks.
“They don’t really like Willow,” Amity frowns, “They think she’s too weak to be my friend. A bad influence or whatever.”
“Willow?” Hunter looks confused. “As in, Willow Park. The strongest plant witch I’ve ever seen?”
Amity laughs, noticing the small flowers sprouting in Willow’s hair. She hadn’t seen that happen since they were kids. She fiddles with her scroll, wanting to take a picture of their faces for Luz, when she notices the flyer derby photos Willow had sent her. She smirks. Amity may have an opportunity here. She starts planning her idea, while still spanning a photo of her flustered friends to show her awesome girlfriend.
“Mom’s always saying that I only should associate with ‘witches of higher status,’” Willow and Hunter turn to look at her. “That people of ‘lower class’ would never get opportunities in the Emperor’s Coven. What if we showed her how wrong she was?”
Both her friends grin. She leans in to tell them the plan, laughing at their silly additions. Titan, she missed this. Being a silly, weird kid. Amity texts Luz to let her know what they’re doing, promising to send her a picture of Odalia’s reaction. What are girlfriends for if not to show each other your pranks, right? After today, she’s positive Willow can agree.
Before they know it Odalia is on her way home. The girls sneak Hunter around to the corner until his cue. Amity and Willow resume chatting, laughing about when Boscha humiliated herself at school the previous day or that silly game Luz taught them a few weeks ago. The door creaks open. Odalia Blight, stern, uptight, rude, and downright awful, storms in. She looks exhausted, probably from watching Alador do all the work while she just stands there. Amity scoffs.
“Amity Blight!” she cries, making Amity look up so fast she fears she hurt her neck. “What is the Park girl doing here?” She says it with so much disgust Willow looks equal parts angry and ashamed. Amity holds back the urge to apologize. She’s done nothing wrong.
“We’re friends, Mom,” she says bluntly, “We’re hanging out.”
“Nonsense, Mittens,” Odalia responds, “Blights only associate with a select few. Half witches are not in that group.”
Amity sees red. “She is not half a witch! She’s my friend and you will respect her!” Amity shouts.
“Oh, please, Mittens, this rebellious streak of yours has gotten out of hand,” Odalia says.
“Rebellious?” Willow challenges. “What’s rebellious about hanging out with a friend?”
Odalia is about to retort, stooping so low as to argue with a couple of children when there’s a pounding on the door. Odalia rolls her eyes at the girls and opens the door, completely missing their twin smirks behind her. Amity watches as she immediately drops to a knee at the sight of the Golden Guard. Seeing her mother grovel was surprisingly satisfying.
“Sir!” Odalia exclaims. Willow holds back a giggle. “To what do I owe this pleasure?”
“Mrs. Blight,” the Guard addresses her. That’s all Amity can call him because that
doesn’t feel like her friend. He sounds like the boy she’s mad at, not the one she’s worried about. “I’m here looking for Ms. Willow Park.”
“What, to arrest her? I always knew that one was trouble,” Odalia grumbles, “Please, take her away. And don’t blame my family for any of her transgressions. My daughter was merely-”
The Guard cuts her off. “I’m not here to arrest her. I was going to see if I could get her to rethink my proposal.”
“Proposal?” Odalia inquires. Willow blushes.
“I had invited her to join the coven personally, but she declined. Even if I can’t get her to join I’m trying to get Ms. Park to show the coven her remarkable powers.”
“B-but…” Odalia stutters. “She’s simply half a witch! She can hardly do magic at all!”
“Nonsense. Ms. Park’s magic took some time to appear, but it’s amazing, it’s beautiful, it’s-” he coughs. “Anyway, just call her over and I’ll be on my way.” Amity doesn’t miss how red Willow was getting.
Willow strolls up to the door. “Hello, sir,” she says with a little curtsy.
He bows to her, making stifling laughter at Odalia’s shock. “Ms. Park! Have you considered my offer?”
“I have,” Willow says, struggling not to giggle, “And I’d love to accompany you to learn more about the coven. If the Golden Guard, himself, wants to personally invite me to the castle to convince me to join the prestigious Emperor’s Coven, who am I to refuse?” Willow sighs dramatically.
Amity winks at them as Odalia turns to face her, mouth wide open. “Have fun!”
Amity doesn’t miss the way their hands join as the door closes. Odalia looks pale, her already light skin gone paper white. She shakes, muttering nonsensical phrases.
“But, I, she, I, what-?” Odalia gasps before passing out in shock.
Amity finally lets herself laugh, wild and reckless and childish and stupid. She feels better than she has in a long time. She takes a picture of Odalia, sends it to Luz, and smiles, walking back up to her room.

Who is ivy and what is she like?
Oh! Ivy. She is the daughter of Nigel Thrall and Rose from American Dragon: Jake Long. In the Lunaverse, Rose and Nigel are together, after Jake and Rose broke up out of mutual terms. Rose is hunting down dragon slayers across the globe, while Nigel works in an office in a Magic Ministry for wizards that the World Dragons contacted occasionall, and still help Jake Long from time to time. Ivy try to please her father even through he spend his time working in his office at home or at works. He spend time with his wife. But he does spend time with her, but to disciplined her. He hope that she would become a perfect in his image and follows or at least make a legacy to make the Thrall's name be well-known and proud of. Nigel is protective of Ivy as he lost his other daughter a long time ago. Nigel would sometime have heartfelt moments with her likes take her to an aquarium and camping. I am going to give an king explanation on Ivy Layla Thrall. I am going to warns you, my answer may contain spoilers of @princess-lunalu’s A New Phoenix Rising about Ivy, if she will be introduce in the series though. I do not know when she appear and which chapters she will be in. You have been warn.
Ivy is @princess-lunalu’s Blossom Utonium (PPG) x AJ (Fairly OddParents)’s first daughter, Bea Grey’s friend and a member of Bea’s Liberty League, @princess-lunalu’s Blossom Utonium (PPG) x AJ (Fairly OddParents)’s twin daughter, Destiny Grey’s former mentor in magic, a pupil to @animeclub78’s fanchild of Amity Blight x Luz Noceda x Willow Park (The Owl House), Kinoko Noceda in Plant Magic (preferably the poisonous and predatory plants to expand her usage in Plant Magic, with the exception of Glyph Magic), and @princess-lunalu’s Wonder Woman (DC: Super Hero Girls) and Thor (Marvel)’s daughter, Stella Thorsdottir’s girlfriend. She is also a part of a coven where she interacts with fellow witches in meetings, sabbaths, and in rituals.
She is a magic user, whose prefers to be identify as a witch, rather than a wizard. However she does use wizard’s spells taught by her dad (such as levitating objects and turning stones into gems). Ivy does use her magic to punish bullies. Ivy prefers using Plant Magic, and dabble in dark magic before. Ivy prefers using necrobotany when using dark magic and made a contract with an Earth Underworldian Plant Demon named Willow. Ivy recently learn more about glyph magic from one of the magic teachers in Phoenix Academy, Marcy Boonchuy and Luz Noceda, Kinoko’s mother. Ivy rely on The Green for help, because her magical power alone is not strong enough. Her Plant Magic can thrive in forest. Although, Ivy have been avoiding going to forests for now because of her fear of what is in the forest that is not suppose to be apart of after her traumatic experience of a camp fire incident at Camp Green Lake (cannot tell you further details because it is massive spoilers). Not only that, as a witch, she rely on the faith of higher beings, and she pick The Asgardians. Though some of the gods do not trust her because she is a witch who dabble in dark magic, and because of the Asgardians’ bad blood toward Amora the Enchantress. Which was why Ivy had a rocky and tense start when meeting Stella’s father, Thor. Eventually, he soften up, seeing that Ivy is a good person and cares about Stella’s emotions, and learn the reasons why Stella love Ivy. Other than Plant Magic, Ivy use fireballs spell, create and manipulate portals, use summoning magic, healing magic, potion-making, and bubble Magic. She is even taking up alchemy to expand necrobotany. Her stamina used to be bad and mana drains fast as a result, now her stamina improves. Ivy still have controls over her magic but have less powers, but when stressed, tremendous powers appear.
Ivy can make curries, so far she can make Toast Curry and Sausage Curry. Stella loves eating her Toast Curry.
Since her father taught her magic at a young age, her mother, Rose taught her acrobatic, hand-to-hand combat, and swordsmanship (which she develops at The Themyscira summer camp when she was in an 11th grader, and still honing her swordsmanship with her mom).
Ivy and Bea are best friend from Phoenix Academy for 10 years. They used to go trick-or-treating, hangs out eating noodles at Goh-Rong, having a shopping spree, and going to the spa. Ivy understands that Bea been overwhelm as she try to be the perfect image Blossom wanted and watch as Bea gave up her favorite extra curriculum activities as she barely have free time after giving up her free times which she does not like, until the point she have a mental breakdown. She was always there for her and comfort her. Bea slowly becoming better and changes for the better as she began to bleach and cutted her hair, and gave up a few things Ivy and Bea used to loves to do. But she accepts that…. Because she will do anything for her best friend, even if it means sacrificing her own feelings, self-worth, her reputation and career for Bea, her causes, and Bea’s family. Ivy hide her sadness well, never wanting to bumming Bea out. Making her a valuable asset for Bea and Headmistress Blossom. That is only Ivy’s perspective, my interpretation for her after doing a roleplay with a few members of The Lunaverse Squad on Discord. Please do not bash my friends by sending hate asks, I really do appreciates it. Please do not attack them. It just that Ivy being pressure by others would give her mixed feelings. In their (Bea’s and Blossom’s) perspective, they see her as a trusted ally since Ivy know about Destiny’s secret lineage from her second father. I do hope one day Ivy will explains to Bea and Headmistress Blossom her feelings.
Ivy taught Destiny how to fly on a broom (before Destiny learn how to controls her demon transformation and portal manipulation), finding glyphs, knowledge on the Ley Lines, giving her Latin lessons, potion-making, lesson on familiars, magic detection, a bit of plant magic, summoning magic such as demon summoning and bringing artworks to life. Though, most of the lessons Destiny is given are pointless because Destiny became more powerful and is consider a sorceress because Destiny self-taught herself, thus she is now a sorceress. This cause Ivy to change her lessons multiple times to the point, Destiny doesn’t need her help at all (especially when Destiny have Raven Roth as her mentor and Destiny having a talking and knowledgeable grimoire). A witch teaching her apprentice who wants to be a sorceress is becoming one already. Ivy is also jealous toward Bea’s little sister. After all, sorceresses are more powerful than witches according to the magic class system. It did not stop her from continue her teaching at the end of her mentorship. All Ivy ever wanted was… An apprentice who value her mentor’s teaching and use the skills and knowledges she earn. And after the explosion incident in Phoenix Academy caused by Mammoth, Ivy is bound on a wheelchair, after losing a leg, she stopped teaching Destiny because Destiny wanted Ivy to recover from her injuries after rescuing students that were under the rubbles and undergoes rehabilitation while continuing her education so she won’t repeat and unable to graduate with her friends and girlfriend. So it was all for nothing. Ivy hide this sadness not wanting to make Destiny feels bad. Despite Ivy beating herself for not being the mentor Destiny wanted her to be, she comforts Destiny with her religion struggles, and had done researches on Shinto, kami offerings, the prayers, and rituals to perform for Destiny. She made sure Bea help her little sister, Destiny. I do wanted her to suggest to Destiny to visit Tsunami Grand Shrine of America and the Shinto Shrine in Townsville, or make a kamidana. The purification rituals Destiny perform can purify the evilness within her so she can get better controls of herself being a cambion. That way, she won’t attack her love ones and defend the weaks. Not just that, she can contact kami, divine spirits to guide her when using magic detection.
Okay, I should not be talking about Destiny, it is all about Ivy, even though I am explaining Ivy’s relationship to Destiny as her former mentor, and how she make an impact in Destiny’s life. Anyway… Ivy is a rescuer in The Liberty League, using her portal manipulation/spatial magic and as a healer using her healing magic. Ivy works on the garden in The Liberty League HQ, growing healing herbs and plants use for potions. (She have a green thumb after all. She have a rose garden and a foxglove garden at The Thrall Residence). She desire to be in the frontline more than the backline. However because she is now a wheelchair bound hero, there are people who are worry for her safety.
I hope I answers your question anon. Thanks you for sending me this ask. I really appreciated. Here are artworks of Ivy before she is wheelchair bound. Each made by wonderful artist. First artwork is made by the fabulous @laylaylamode and the second artwork is made by the stunning @princess-lunalu.

Amity & (briefly Luz's) Strength analysis This is going to be a long post so strap in folks
I noticed this. Did anyone else notice this in canon? Amity Blight never fully went Multi-track. Unless of course, you all count the glyphs her girlfriend shared with her and taught her. From where I stand and have observed Amity herself is limited. The one magic she excels in is clearly Abomination magic without a doubt! She would like to hear how her brother and sister went into multiple tracks.
I noticed in canon that Amity never fully went Multi-track unless you count the glyphs her girlfriend shared with her and taught her. So Amity is pretty limited to the one magic she excels in with that said I think she would be very interested in how her brother and sister went to multiple tracks. (My friend and I both agree she could have learned more spells if she wanted to.) but of course, for that to happen she needed to apply herself or on the other hand, be taught by someone else.
Tumblr media
Sometimes at the end of the day, I wonder if Thorne Vault is the only plant spell she knows from a sports movie no less. After all, She did need to master two spells Abominations and Fire! (I think.) Yet that was only possible through learning to do so with her older sibling's help. They inspired her to try and beat their highest scores. After she learns the fire spell we see her use fire countless times throughout the series. It's yet another example of her reluctance to step outside of her abomination comfort zone (despite being a top student at the time.)
Tumblr media
I've as well as we've all seen her use Luz's glyph. She fails at drawing them herself because she has a reluctance to use her non-dominant hand and it appears to frustrate her more that she cannot seem to draw a perfect circle. (Amity is left-handed that's been seen in canon!) Just like Eda, it seems glyphs just appear to annoy her because she can't get them to do what she wants. Hence why she's so used to abomination magic. As we all know Abominations just do what their creators/masters want.
Tumblr media
I'd even go as far as to say by-golly! Amity here is so used to doing the magic the spell circle way. If you compare that to her drawing a spell circle the way she learned since she was able to conjure magic as a child. Little Miss Perfect is pretty stubborn in her efforts to get things right; Now obviously, it's a learned behavior. It's engrained so deeply in her that she had the smallest light circle when she finally used her dominant hand to draw one in puppet form! (Which while impressive that she did so as a puppet it's also pretty weak.)
Tumblr media
There's a theory I have with plant magic. (I would think) Someone would have to be a nurturing caring person I think meanwhile Amity just molds heaps of magic mud and organic material. Our Willow can do this and so much more. Meanwhile, The first thing that Flower does when she shows up is shrivel and I think it has a lot to do with her influence on Willow and hints she may not be the strongest at plant magic as blights and plants don't mix.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She used to do things just doing what she commands which makes me think. She may not be very great at plants/plant magic? Not to mention how her last name "Blight" as we know is known as a disease upon plants or other living things. From what I have gathered and observed even with glyphs (the titan's magic) Amity visibly appears pretty weak with plants. She even asked Luz in "Reaching Out" this quote: "How do you get it to do what you want?"-Amity. (Even then she's still thinking like an abomination witch. Because I kinda doubt plants are the same way.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This! The thorn vault briefly is the only ever other time (I've) We've seen her use plant-like magic but this time she had her staff to help her. (it's hard to say... It somewhat confirms my thoughts in the way abominations are just masses of muck and muddy organic mass.)
(Don't get me wrong I've seen Amity do some very impressive things it's just that how often has it been out of the strength of her own magic? here clearly using fire and abomination magic combined! She's not all that tough without her brains and ingenuity bailing her out. Had Hunter not been so worn out and with a magic staff he was not familiar with using he could have possibly beat her in the fight.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This young witch's strengths lie in the muck and mud!
Tumblr media
However, it seems her magic is only at its strongest when she is at full energy in comparison to the B-Brawl!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In terms of physical strength, 14 to 15-year-old Amity doesn't appear to be very physically strong either? Willow was able to pull a lever down with one hand! Then you have her childhood friend who despite using two hands struggles to bring an air balloon lever down.
(I suppose this is why Amity's typically the one carried around by Luz a lot of the time. She just did not have the muscle capacity to lift Luz yet, while Luz has had all the practice in the world!)
Tumblr media
(We see Amity lift Luz one time off the ground and it's for a few seconds though that lets us know she got stronger over time!?)
Tumblr media
This is my analysis. (As my muse I write, and I have to find her limitations and strengths this helps me to better myself when a battle or duel is going on. This is how her spells affect her in a 1v1 duel.) (Still one of my favorite shared lines from Gus and Willow is "Luz has a staff." "Why does that make me nervous?")
Tumblr media
Also yes I'd love to do a short one for Luz! Well to cut it short she's very, very talented with glyph magic, and seeing how Stringbean was So powerful when her palisman started to hatch. They may struggle with communicating with each other at first. Through the years until she grows up to the year the time skip epilogue takes place where they have grown to understand each other a lot and found a way to continue the magic.
Tumblr media
We have seen what Luz can do with King's dad's powers. Even how dark her magic is so pretty and deadly I imagine after this experience she and Stringbean became closer. (I would wager) Doing magic in any sort of typical way will probably not be Luz's strongest suit no bile sack and all.

There's a lot of reasons that Amity and Darius interacting would be fun- they're both powerful abomination witches w/ complex relationships to Alador and Odalia, and it'd be interesting to see Amity progress her skills and to finally learn the drama that unfolded between Darius and the Blights back in the day.
But- and this is going into HC territory but I also think it's a valid read on their characters- Darius is also repeatedly shown to be someone who values individuality and freedom, seen mostly in his relationship with Hunter in any sport in a storm. And, personally, I HC that this trait influences his style of abomination magic! Uniquely, he makes himself the weapon by turning into goo instead of just making mindless drones that carry out the work for him, like most other abomination witches we see (especially Alador, who mass produces and optimizes these drones w/ tech). And when he does create more traditional abominations (like the messanger in ttbk) it's still clearly personalized after him. Nothing he makes is interchangeable with any other abomination, and he barely makes anything at all. Darius is practical but he also cares greatly about the people in his life and clearly values other people's personhood...which I think would make him a GREAT influence on Amity!
Until season 2 (and specifically escaping expulsion and reaching out) she'd had her own self expression and desires quashed in the name "reputation" and social standing by her parents. She has to look a certain way, act a certain way, talk to certain witches, and do certain things (be top student, join the EC, etc). After she meets Luz and the hexsquad, she started rebelling and pursuing things she actually wanted (re-befriending willow, ditching boscha and co, dating Luz and joining the brawl, etc) and I personally also think this is reflected in the development of her magic! she goes from creating pretty standard abominations in season 1 (that only ever progressed in terms of size and power, going from small ones in episode 3 to a fairly large one in episode 16) to focusing more on creating tools and constructs that assist her in battle (you can see this a lot in the eclipse lake fight- her goo acts as a shield, a rope, a bubble, a gauntlet, a knife, etc).
I think that not only would she be eager to impress Darius and learn more abt him (specifically his relationship with her parents), I think Darius would be secretly very happy to see Amity come into her own as her own person with her own way of doing things, despite everything she was taught- and heck, that might even be the first step towards Darius reaching out to Alador again. Darius may not like the man, but his kid turned out okay despite all the odds, and it's starting to make him wonder how things have changed since they were kids.
Obviously with the shortened run time, if we do get interaction between Amity and Darius, it'll likely only be for a single scene, and I wouldn't say it's something that's essential to the fabric of the story, the themes or the plot- you can wrap up the story w/o this kind of moment. BUT it's a very fun idea for me to rotate around in my mind 💜

welcome back!!
if its okay, could you please do some luz and amity agere hcs? :)
Thank you !! I'm glad to be back :33 Thanks for the request, I had sm fun writing for them! I recently finished watching TOH and oh boy. My feelings were severely hurt ldslad
Anyway!
Luz and Amity Agere Headcanons!
Tumblr media
Luz Noceda:
Without a doubt, Luz is a flip
Given her selfless nature, I can see her being a wonderful cg!
She cares deeply and wildly for others after all
So when she's taking care of a little, it's a tender display
She has supplies stacked up at the Owl House
(mostly because Eda had the items well before Luz came, but that's for another post)
She uses them on herself and her littles, with cleaning in between
She considers herself a big sister cg! Or at least, that's the role she takes for most of them
While she's little, she regresses in a wide range
3-12, while mostly averaging around 7!
Being outcasted from a young age is a big reason on why her age range is so wide
But also it's soothing to be a kid!
At times, she can get into her head before regressing
It's hard for her to let others help her
And there is momentary guilt once she does
Luz does get over the guilt after a while on the BI
All of her friends are understanding and are more than willing to help
And besides, she has Amity and Eda!
While she's regressed, she tends to ramble more
May the Titan save you if you even mention Azura around her (/j)
She loves to run around and play
Though she hates hide and seek
Anything else is fine! She doesn't really have a favorite
She needs a nap after a few hours of play
And she refuses to sleep unless she has someone nearby
Which usually ends up being King
Amity Blight:
I think Amity is also a flip!
Luz taught her what regression was after a long conversation about their families
It was suggested to her and then explained
It wasn't really acted on for a while
Until a prank that the twins pull goes to far and affects Amity
It was a fast slip
It took a while to figure out her age range, but she found it tends to bounce between 4-7
She tends to regress more often then Luz, or tends to regress with her
Which doesn't make her the best caregiver for Luz, but the thought is there!!
And it's fine- the Owl House is mostly safe
Mostly
Amity is a big fan of the human games that Luz teaches her
Though it's mostly the board games that Eda brings to sell and some make-believe games
She loves playing pretend
It reminds her of when the twins would play with her
Secondly to playing, Amity loves reading
Whoever is caring for a little Amity has to deal with hearing the Azura books read out loud
(lucky that none of her carers really mind)
And while she's caring for others, she loves to read to the little!
She is a good caregiver, she's wonderful with the other kids around the BI
She's a bit more stern than Luz when it comes to caregiving
But they make a wonderful team!

Predictions for Owl House season 3 Specials
Belos dies. Kind of a no-brainer since he somehow managed to survive being decked by the Collector. But how I see him dying...it will be ironic. Since humans cannot perform magic on Earth, all those glyphs he tattooed on his body would bite him in the ass. The moment he tries to use them for a function like teleportation, the glyphs decorating his body would start eating him from the inside out. Literally, millions of explosions going on inside of him until he literally blows up in a powerful blast of pure, unadulterated magic. A gruesome end he could have avoided had he remained in the Isles, but he deserves every bit of pain.
That being said, I do not see Belos or Odalia and the like getting redemptions, especially the latter. Belos is forced to acknowledge that society had changed and his views are outdated with there being no place for someone as xenophobic as him. Not a real redemption that I doubt would really develop him as a character as I still see him being insistent on being right. The only one I see as viable for redemption is the Collector.
As for Odalia, she gets arrested because betraying your own kind and selling them off to be slaughtered by a genocidal madman would do that for you. She could perhaps "try" to ask forgiveness from Alador and the others, but I strongly doubt it'd be genuine. Instead of it being "holy cow I have been such an awful wife and mother," she would try to get into their good graces to perhaps lessen her sentence or muster up sympathy. But of course, the Blight family sees through her BS and she is left to rot in prison.
The Collector won't be resealed. Really sealing him away in the first place was kind of what started the whole mess. What the Collector truly needs is to be taught how to best use his godly powers and perhaps a lesson on how "forcing people to play an apocalyptic game with you is not a good idea." I can see King being the one who starts to mold the Collector since King was kind of like him: King was at first egotistical and wanted to be worshiped, but once he truly started to examine himself, he felt squeamish about it.
Hunter and Willow get together because why not?
Flapjack is killed. It is kind of a no-brainer. The bird had several death flags on his back. It would permanently sever Belos from his brother as, if Caleb did carve Flapjack, that would be the final shred that needs to be destroyed to complete Belos' fall. And it would further push Hunter to completely sever ties with his uncle.
The gang will return to the Boiling Isles, but as for the ending...much resolved, but as for whether Amity and Luz split up I kind of doubt it.
I don't think we will obviously get the Star vs. ending where both worlds are merged, but I do think there can be some elaborate way for the worlds to be symbolically connected. After all, since King is a Titan, he could provide blood. I mean not to the point where he is just skin and bones, but just a pint in a key and Luz could return to the Demon Realm if she wanted to.

OK, now I'm on this high, any Ameila and Blight Siblings headcannons?
A few!!!
Emira is a lesbian and Ameila was the first person she came out to!!
Their parents would send them to bed without dinner as a punishment when they were younger so making food for eachother is something of a love language to them
Ameila taught Edric how to knit!
Amity used to tuck Ameila in when she came back home from her Sapphire escapdes

It's funny to realize that Felix has a much healthier family relationship than Phillip, who belongs to Luz and Amity. Camilla did a great job teaching Odalia a normal life behaviour
She honestly did. Camila is an infectious person, y'know, so it makes some sense that Odalia - aimless and desperate for a new purpose - brought her 'teachings' onboard. Even though Felix Blight is a sexed-up Pipwalker, he's certainly having a good and healthy (ish) dynamic with his three caretakers/keepers/parents. He's being taught by Alador how to more properly and confidently work in the lab alone (and he's a fast learner, just like his predecessor!).
As for Philip Noceda-Blight... well, he's ran away from home. If you've seen him, please tell someone.

How Amity and Luz would treat a s/o who uses self deprecating humor
Already made one of these for Hunter which you can find on my page, (don't have enough posts for a master post yet)
Luz
Would shut this down real quick.
The first time you say "I hate myself" or "jokes on you, I hate myself already" or anything of that sort she makes it very clear that she's not going to accept you talking about yourself like that, joking or not
She doesn't like hearing her s/o talk bad about themselves after all
The second time you make a joke of that nature whether it's in public or private Luz will "gently" remind you that she'd rather you not make jokes like that and that constantly talking bad about yourself whether you believe the jokes or not aren't going to put you in a good mindset,
After all, if someone hears something enough, they're going to start believing it
The third time, she's just kinda disappointed?
She doesn't understand why, even after she explained how it wasn't good for you and that she just doesn't like you doing it, why you keep doing it?!
It's frustrating for the both of you
You end up having to explain to her, that you've made these jokes for a while
It's second nature to you
If a situation is awkward, make a joke
People love jokes at other peoples expense, and if you make the jokes first, then it hurts less when other people makes those jokes about you
You tell her that you are trying to not make them as much, but it's hard to stop something you've done for so long
It might take her a bit to understand, while she gets the reasoning, she doesn't understand why you of all people would think like that
You both are going to have to be patient with each other
Amity
Similarly to Luz, Amity isn't going to accept those jokes
Though, unlike Luz she gets it
While she wasn't one to make those jokes(she tended to vent her frustrations out on others, something she has worked hard not to do anymore), Edric and Emira were very much the types to make those jokes
You have to remember, as much as Ed and Em act like they don't have the same controlling ass mother Amity does, they do
She's heard them make jokes at their own expense for years and she knows exactly what's going on in their heads when it's happening
Though, much like Luz she didn't peg you as the type to make them, so she's understandably shocked the first time you make one
But, if living as a Blight taught her anything, it was to smile and laugh even if she was very uncomfortable and concerned
The second time she's more prepared.
She tries not to sound like she's lecturing you, because she really isn't
She's just trying to tell you that she isn't exactly, fond of you talking about yourself like that, especially when none of it is true.
(having this conversation is hard and awkward for the both of you, Amity isn't used to conveying her concern or issues with her friends as prior to Luz and co, it wouldn't exactly do her any favors)
You both get through it, though!
She understands that you aren't just going to stop making those jokes (titan knows she didn't immediately stop being mean to people, old habits die hard after all)
She would like you to at least try and if you mess up a few times she'll just give you a look or pat your head or something
Just an action to remind you not to do it, you know?
Lil authors note below on some of my thoughts on this, not important-
OK OK SO I FEEL LIKE THESE WERE REALLY BAD- I REWROTE THEM LIKE 8 TIMES THO SO UH HERE THEY ARE LOL-
Also had a hot debate with myself on whether or not Luz would be super knowledgable and like know *exactly* what to do, or if she would have a moment and not quite understand because of her nature to not exactly be the best at understanding others being upset?? (something I relate to as someone with adhd (which I think she hasss?) I forget but, like having the knowledge and basis to understand the situation but also just completely failing at like solving it??? idk I felt like what I went with was very Luz so.

So the au I was thinking would have had Eda as Hunter's mom and it all started out as a joke I wanted to make about Lilith later and because I wanted Hunter to learn how to carve wood and palismen from Dell. But I feel before I can get into that I have to talk about what Hunter's like in this au.
He's still a prodigy but he doesn't go to school (Eda taught him) though he would sit in a few lessons because he's eager to learn more stuff; Bump allows it and the two probably sit in his office where they talk about stuff or work. If someone messes with him or people he cares about, he's likely to retaliate in karmic retribution (ex. pranks, etc). He does suffer from insomnia. He has his own friends or mainly friend I guess: it's Edric. (this will be goldric) Sometimes, he waits for Hexside to let out so he and Edric can hang out (and I want to say that they get together months before Luz and Amity do). I want to say he's interacted regularly with the rest of the BATs. I kinda want Hunter to do his own thing where he's encountered a few of the Coven Heads.
Before he has Flapjack or discovers glyphs, Hunter uses a training wand or Owlbert if he wants to cast spells. He doesn't care what anybody has to think about his lack of magic, but does care about feeling less of a witch if he thinks Eda (and Edric later on) feels that way too.
And that's most of what I have for this au.
This is interesting as an au where maybe Lilith overhears Belos's plan and takes baby Hunter with her to go stay with Eda to keep him safe from Belos. After a while they, along with King and Luz, become their own little family.
Maybe before Luz shows up, Hunter is on friendly terms with Willow and Gus since he, like Willow, is seen as a lesser witch aka a half-a-witch by Boscha and her group though he isn't afraid of telling them off when they're being mean to him or his friends as I like to image that he acts as the group's big brother (though he is older than them so he kind of is like their older brother).
I like to think that when it's Hunter's turn to be paired with a palisman during the Palisman Pairing Day, he would say something like "I want to learn more about myself while also being able to protect the people that I love from harm." or something like that. I also like to image that Hunter just says that he wants to learn more about himself and Flapjack, without hesitation, goes up to him.
He probably always gets roped into Luz's shenanigans since Hunter feels like he has to keep Luz from getting herself or others into trouble. I personally like to think that when Luz first comes to the Boiling Isles, Eda askes Hunter to keep an eye on her which Hunter was not happy about at first but after a while, Hunter starts to make sure that Luz is safe, not because Eda or someone had asked him to but because he cares about her and doesn't want to see her get hurt, though he'd probably never outright admit it when asked.
I also think that in the episode, "Through The Looking Glass Ruins", it would actually start with Luz about to leave to go see Amity at the library but not before she asks Hunter if he wants to come with her while teasingly saying that Edric would be there which makes the witch blush before saying that he can't go with her since he already has plans. Then when Luz meets up with the Blight siblings, she tells Ed that Hunter couldn't come because he said that he had plans to which Em would take the opportunity to tease Ed and ask him what plans he thinks that Hunter is getting up to, knowing full well that Edric and Hunter are going on a date later.
After their date, Hunter walks Edric back to his place and gives him a small kiss(either on the cheek or on the lips), little do they know that Em saw it and took a picture of it so she could tease Edric later as well as send it to Amity and the others aka Luz, Willow and Gus. Then when the Lumity cheek kiss happens, Edric takes a picture and sends it to Hunter since as Luz's (unofficial) older brother, he should be the first to know about how Lumity's development is going.
Also, Emira, Edric and Hunter are the first to figure out about Amity and Luz's feelings for each other and are huge supporters of it(at least Hunter is after Amity shows that she can be a good person and the episode, "Understanding Willow").
