it was a day, like any other day. students were doing the usual stuff they do, it seemed too normal. something felt weird, like you feel something will happen and will change everything.

you sat down next to eddie in ms. o’donnells class.

eddie.

oh, how you had a big crush on him. he was perfect, cute nose and perfect curly brunette hair. and not to mention, he likes metal and d&d! it was like he was your soulmate and you were his, but he doesn't know that yet.

“hey, psst y/l/n do you have a spare pen?” eddie nudged you, making you in your day dreaming state snap. “huh?! oh right- yeah i think i-i have one.” you nervously handed him your pen. “thanks sweetheart.” he winked, and turned back his attention to the paper.

you've been thinking quite alot lately, to confess to eddie. you cant stand the fact that, you were both “just friends” now. gareth, jeff and dustin can see how you two act like a couple but aren't even together.

you are determined to confess to him.

so, you grabbed a piece of paper and wrote quietly.

“ hi eddie, meet me at our spot (at the picnic table in the woods) after lunch dont be late.

— y/n ”

you placed the paper onto your pocket and decided it was best to give him the note in his locker before lunch because he usually checks his locker.

you felt alot of emotions right now.

excited, nervous, scared, and did i say nervous?

you sat in the picnic chair, patiently waiting for him while playing the hem of your skirt. after a minute or two passes by, you spot a familiar brunette coming by.

“hello, princess what do ya need?” he greeted happily as he sat down at the other side of the seat with his "special" lunch box sans: the drugs he secretly sells.

“eds, i dont wanna buy drugs.. i just wanna talk to you about something.” i giggled. he puts the lunch box somewhere on his side.

“hm, alright? then what do you wanna talk about?”

you sigh nervously, “promise you our friendship wouldn't change??.”

eddie was confused, were you leaving hellfire? but obviously nothing could ruin what you and eddie had. “no, it wont change i promise now shoot.”

you sighed once more, looking around nervously. “i- i....” eddie’s eyebrows raised, he signalled you to go further.

“i..i like you eddie, not like a friend type of way.. a love way, where i have a crush on you. you make me feel things that ive never felt before.. i-” you stopped and looked at eddie, he seemed uncomfortable.

“eddie..?”

he quickly snapped out of it and mentally prepared himself, “i- sorry y/n i dont like you back... its just i see you as a friend, nothing more im really sorry, im not ready for a relationship.”

your heart shattered into pieces, eddie didnt like you back..

you let out a forced smile, and stood up.. “oh.. okay, thanks for telling me how you feel.. ill see you around.” you quickly fled from the woods .

you wanted to disappear, so you did.

you quickly went and took your bike, you didn't care if you went home early you had class with eddie so that'd be extremely awkward.

you sobbed as you rode your bike, you left the school with a heavy and broken heart.

whilst eddie stood there, dumbfounded.. shit shit shit- why'd i do that? now he just lost you. forever.

I see you hate Sylvie so much and the Loki TV show too. why?

Okay, lemme break it down into a final, once-and-for-all peace speaking on the issue of the series and Sylvie. I'll try to make this as painless as possible.

1- Looking at it beyond the surface, she's not really interesting. The term 'Mary Sue' gets thrown around a lot with Sylvie, and I kind of have to agree. She seems to be little more than a trope checklist. -Sad background that motivates her actions? Check. -Deep down she just wants to be loved? Check. -Inexplicable instant "chemistry" with the male lead? Check. -She's just so super special and important? Check.

But even so, there have been others with similar Sue-ish backgrounds that the MCU has managed to make into pretty decent characters, like Scarlet Witch in WandaVision. Arguably, both characters share some traits, but the writers of Wanda (at least before Multiverse of Mehhness) clearly knew how to bring those ideas into a twisted story of learning how to confront the past and to mourn with a character who still had something to learn.

In contrast, Sylvie really doesn't have any flaws to turn into a deep character study, does she? I think that's her second-biggest detriment (see below for the biggest). A good character is never perfect. A good character had flaws, wants, drives, and other things that make them imperfect but relatable. Sylvie is incredibly unrelatable.

Truly I believe she was written for the stans as a self-insert. She isn't even a decent one. I read fanfics on here with amazing examples of a good insert character, so it clearly can be done. Again, Sylvie ain't it.

2- Sylvie's existence both mocks the comics as well as Norse mythology as a whole. Most of us anti-sylkis know this already, but in Norse mythology AND the Marvel canon that goes beyond the MCU, Loki has had several lovers and wives. Loki married and had three children with Angreboda, and then went on to have twins with wife Sigyn. In the comics, he also had a lover named Amora the Enchantress (which we ALMOST got in the MCU before her cameo was cut). Any one of these three would've made a fantastic romantic plot for Loki if the MCU *really* had the compulsion to go that route.

Alas, instead, the MCU kind of bastardized Amora, Sigyn, as well as another character from the comics named Sylvie, and combined them into TV!Sylvie. This not only means we will likely never see Amora or Sigyn in the MCU, it means they were replaced by an inferior on the same level as Randy from That 70s Show, who was also a sucky character created for the fans as an amalgamation of pre-existing characters.

3- She's just another in a long line of Loki-abusers. Like, does she ever comfort him after all he does for her? Does she even really listen to him? Because from what I saw there was just a lot of this happening between them:

Jesus, lady. What has he done to make you such a jerk to him? I get you're supposed to be a #GuuurlBoss but that doesn't mean "be a total cunt to a man whenever you feel like it."

After all this time, if we really had to have a Loki character study series, why doesn't he get some respite from the fact that basically everyone he knows has either been cryptic and mysterious to him at best, and hostile/violent/malicious to him at worst?

THIS is probably the single biggest reason I loathe Sylvie. We're suppose to believe she's just being Miss Independent when she's really just bringing the poor god down even more than most. I feel like if she met Thor, he'd get upset at seeing how she treats him, and he'd be confused by how easily Loki just accepts it all.

4- I'm becoming more convinced Tom's only doing the show out of obligation, and that his creativity is being tossed aside for the sake of the series. I normally don't like to speculate like some others do, but with more people (like Zoe Saldana) coming out and saying they felt repeatedly stifled by the MCU's yuckity-yucks in terms of character development, I definitely believe they're telling Tom to shut up and read the script. I mean, the guy probably knows as much Norse/Loki mythology as any scholar by this time, and he seems to be a really creative person by nature. They're tossing out a whole trove of potential.

I get he's got a family now and he needs to bring in some bacon, but 1- he and his fiancee are both prolific actors who could probably get any roles they wanted. Hell, Zawe's about to enter the MCU herself when The Marvels come out later this year. If she has a larger role in the next few phases, I hope to god they treat her better than they've treated Tom and Zoe and other actors. But I doubt it. 2- he's probably already richer than God

He's almost certainly trapped by contractual obligations at this point, and that fucking sucks, and yes, I blame the tv show for this.

So, in conclusion: this really is a train wreck of a show hidden behind a lot of smoke and mirrors. I'm not sorry to say it. Sylvie lacks any kind of genuine depth, and the writers seem both lost on where to take Loki's character arcs, and not interested.

Okey I confuse with loki season 1 and 2 I meant in season 1 they not knowledge lokinas a god/deity and narrative said he is false god, then keep him down and everyone in series keeping rubbing on his face that je is evil and don't deserve happiness and don't forget Sylvie, she is they golden egg that for unknown reason everyone are more nice and kind to her while she being jerk

Then in season 2 event still suck they finally knowledge him as real god/deoty and finally everyone except Sylvie are being nice to him and well there's real sincerely moments than in season 1.

My point is Sylvie basically useless in season 2, she didn't give any purpose even for romance. So why the hel they praised her so much in season 1 if she end up be very useless in season 2?

Seriously in season 1 narrative said she is so special more than loki and more than anyone and more heroic but well as you can saw. Oh even I not really care but what her nexus event? Did she ever have one or what, it's still mystery but to be honestly I hope season 2 is last time we see her and we will never see her in big cinema and even if she appear in big cinema she will getting destroy by other characters

So I dislike Sylvie more metatextual reason while most of my visceral hate goes to Mobius. But Sylvie is so boring and lame, I don't get those stans rallying so hard for her because marvel has characters that are serve the archetype, but are a hundred times more interesting. I just read this stupid article and it baffles me how selfish and deluded the actress makes Sylvie seem and is completely unaware of it.

Sylvie not a jerk in a fun I support women's wrongs way. She is just mean, and we are supposed to feel bad for her and think she is the greatest thing ever. It's not like Amora or Hela where they are bad ladies and loving it. Sylvie is just stand offish and condescending and it does not work because the Loki she is placed against only has been nice to her and tries to do the right thing, so it makes her look worse.

The shoe shocks mean in its blatant favoritism and double standards. Like in almost the same breath it will mock Loki for thinking he's a god or mocking him for being left out of the Norse pantheon only for the Wright to say "Poor, Sylvie. she's a god but doesn't think of herself that way." Really!? The pedestal she is put on is just insane.

Sylvie really is the goddess of selfishness

A rant about Loki - Where Mischief Lies

Loki - Where Mischief Lies is probably one of my favorite Loki contents, the book portrays this young Loki and a bit of his life in Odin’s court, it dives deep in his magic and how he feels growing up as a sorcerer in a warrior’s society, it also shows his relationship with Amora, who in the story is Karnilla’s apprentice and heir to the throne of Nornheim, Karnilla is the Norn Queen and Odin’s royal sorceress.

I think I love the book so much because Mackenzie Lee (the author) is not afraid to explain to the readers what’s going on inside Loki’s head. Sometimes I feel like I'm reading some meta analysis of the character (and I mean that as a compliment!), she really understands Loki, what his motivations are and portrays him as this charming young boy who’s so insecure about who he is but is so eager to please his father, to prove himself worthy of the title of prince of Asgard, to impress Amora, to be a good sorcerer, to be a good soldier, a good son, he is just desperate for someone to see his value, even though he doesn’t see any value in himself.

The book is supposed to show us who Loki was before he became the villain of the Avengers, before he embraced his role as a antagonist and in my opinion it does a really good job on that, we see how reluctant he is to accept that in the beginning of the story, but by the end he is sadly ready to take the mantle of The Villain and to become the awful man everyone around him assumes him to be.

Right at the beginning of the story we see a boy who lives under the pressure of being a son of Odin and a prince of Asgard, Loki says at some point:

“He wished he could afford not to care, not to feel like everything he did right or wrong was ticked off in a corresponding column and kept on file for the day Odin would name either him or Thor as the heir to the Asgardian crown.”.

Now, that is a lot of pressure for someone to grow up under, and this bit is specially heartbreaking to me because we as an audience know that Odin has no intents to put Loki in the throne of Asgard, but the boy feels like he has the responsibility to prove himself worthy of the throne, he feels like he is failing his father and his people and he is also so immensely alone, he has no friends in court until Amora arrives and no one in Asgard has a good opinion on her. Loki is very clearly in love with her, I find so sweet the way he describes how he feels when around her, he’s like this teen awkwardly in love for the first time, he sees her as a model of perfection, he wants to be like her, she is everything he ever dreamed to be: confident, skilled with magic, strong, witty and funny.

There's a few moments where he talks about himself and we can see that the self loathing is strong, he despises all the things that make him him and would gladly throw it all away if it meant he could become Asgard’s “ideal prince”, wich by the way is Thor, that’s it, in Loki’s opinion (and apparently in Asgard’s opinion) Thor is the perfect prince, he is blonde, muscular, strong, and an excellent warrior, Loki even says:

“The gods could not have handcrafted a more obvious model of kingship than Thor”.

Loki praises him (not out loud of course) for his appearance and describes himself as

“the scraps of (Thor’s) silhouette, the part that was discarded on the workshop floor to be swept up and tossed into the fire—thin and pale, with a hooked nose and black hair that hung flat to the nape of his neck, where it flipped into an unflattering curl. While Thor’s skin bronzed in the sun so that he seemed made of armor, Loki was pale as milk, and soured just as easily.”

It’s very clear Loki does not think much of himself, he hates pretty much everything that makes him unique and is very sad to see how desperate he is to fit in, to belong. We see his desperation when he talks about Amora arriving at court, he says he had never interacted with another sorcerer besides his mother and states that he thought of Amora as an equal, someone just like him. In his first conversation with her we can see clearly how unsure of himself he is, he wants to be more confident and open but fears she’ll not find him interesting enough to talk to him:

“He wanted to sit beside her, but somehow that felt too presumptuous, a bold assumption that he was interesting enough for her to want around.”

That almost seems like another character entirely, right? Imagine Loki from the MCU, that arrogant man who treated everyone else as being beneath him as a shy, insecure teenager who was scared the girl he had a crush on would not want to talk to him. That’s why I love that book so much, it shows who Loki really was before adopting the persona of the God of Mischief. The way he describes some of their interactions is literally so sweet and relatable, he really was just a boy in love with the new girl in town, there’s a bit where they’re in the gardens and this happens:

“Loki sank down beside her, close enough that their knees pressed together. Even through the hazy gloom lingering from his conversation with Thor, an electric shiver went through him when she didn’t pull away from his touch. No matter how small that touch was.”

This is so sweet, he is so in love with her, is so shy and insecure, he is always nervous when around her, always trying to hide things she would consider weaknesses, it’s clear he considers himself to be weak, as i said before he despises himself and all of his particularities.

He is also always seeing other people as being superior to him, is always looking down on himself and trying to be someone else, someone he thinks is who he should be. He wants to be accepted so bad, he wants to be loved, wants to know that he belongs in his family, wants to be just a good prince as Thor is, wants to feel seen by his father, this may sound silly but he just wants attention, he is tired of feeling inadequate, he is desperate for Odin to acknowledge his value and to consider him worthy of his attention.

Loki is almost obsessed with his father, everything he does he does to impress him, sadly he never succeeds, each time he creates a scheme to praise Odin he fails and his opinion on Loki only gets worse, Odin starts to see Loki as this corrupted man with darkness in his soul, with an evil and calculating nature and a danger to Asgard.

What he fails to realize is that Loki at his core is just (as Mobius himself put in the series) a scared little boy, he needs guidance and validation from the person he considers the most, he depends so much on Odin’s opinion of him, he lets it define who he is, he is not strong enough to stand up against this perception of himself, probably because he hasn’t got a single friend, no one he can be vulnerable with without fear of judgment, he bears his burden alone and is nearly falling apart under the weight of everything he has on his shoulders, he really needs someone he can be real with, but he probably will never feel comfortable enough with anyone to let his guard down.

He doesn’t even allow himself to be in love, when he realizes he’s starting to become too fond with people he immediately pushes them back, he puts on the act of the cold, bad guy, but at the same time he is desperate for connection, contradictory fellow innit?

Loki struggles with his need for love and acceptance and the fear of showing his true colors to people around him, he views himself as weak and he’s not willing to show weakness to anyone, he needs a friend he can be real with (and I feel the Loki series has hit the nail in the head with Mobius, he is exactly the kind of friend Loki needs), a friend who sees the man behind the mask of villainy and is willing to accept Loki for who he is.

I couldn’t help but feel impotent reading the book because at some parts you really wants to jump on the pages and hold him close to you, whilst telling him everything will be okay and that he is enough, that his worth is not tied to Odin perspective of him and that he is capable of doing everything he ever dreamed and more.

Well, that was quite a long post, sorry if I talked too much, this book is so important to me as a Loki fan, I could rant about it for hours!

Also, I now have to ask you a random Oni question that doesn't require a drabble unless you wanna write that out: What's Oni's fave hobby/past time when she's not doing Hot Girl Priest Stuff? I know she has to have something she can relax and do in her downtime, right?

I cackled at Hot Girl Priest Stuff. 💀

Tbh, if Oni isn't sparing or practicing with weapons in the woods by herself, she's probably cracking open a book or wondering in nature (ex. exploring or hiking).

I'd imagined that dealing with people and trying to live up to her role as the priestess and vessel of Bast can be socially and physically draining. So, moments of solitude are definitely appreciated. Especially Pre-Namora.

I'd say Post-Namora, she still enjoys moments alone, but doesn't mind existing in silence or sparring with Namora either. I think Namora would expand her areas of exploration after realizing how much Oni thrives in nature. She'd take Oni to a few coral reefs, lakes, and rivers to see the flora and wildlife that live around them underwater.

Also, Oni definitely has a scrapbook filled with pressed and dried plants she's seen on adventures. It's the plant lover inside of her peeking out. Once Namora discovers it, she starts bringing her flowers and plant clippings to add to it.

Once they're married, I think Namora would build her a greenhouse of sorts and bring her plants from missions and special gift-obtaining expeditions. Oni often pretends that she hates gardening because that's technically her job with the Heart-Shaped Herb. However, with the greenhouse, she's more open to 'tending to the little plants her wife brings her from all over the world'. Namora just likes seeing her wife happy, so she's always bringing her things. 🥹

The blurb I thought I wasn't going to write, but I couldn't stop imagining:

"Eh... in lool? (my flower)"

"Mm?" Oni looked up from the book she was reading underneath a plum tree as Namora slowly made her way towards her.

"I got you something."

"You got me something?" She looked her over, taking note of her hands hiding something behind her back.

"Yes. A gift."

The vieled priestess closed her book and tilted her head at her wife. "Are you my gift?"

Namora's face purpled at the suggestion. "No." She looked away shyly. "Just close your eyes and hold out your hands."

"Aw. You're no fun, Amora."

The warrior rolled her eyes before refocusing on the priestess.

Her hands were held out, and her eyes were supposedly closed.

Namora squatted and waved a hand in front of her veiled face before gently placing a small potted plant in her palms.

"Can I look?"

"Mhm."

Oni slowly pulled the plant towards her face before gasping. "Wha- Where did you find these?!" She looked up at Namora. "I was just reading about Venus fly traps the other day."

"I know. You read seven books about carnivorous plants and kept talking about how much you wanted a venus fly trap."

"Yes, but these are native to the southeastern part of the United States. Like South and North Carolina. How did you-"

"-I went there at night with Attuma and Aj K'uk'ulkan." Namora offered a warm smile.

"Just for a little plant?"

"Nothing is little if you want it, in lool."

"But you got Attuma and the king of Talokan involved."

"I help them get things for their lovers all the time. How could they refuse to help me?"

Oni couldn't refrain from laughing at the thought of the three of them venturing around at night to find a tiny carnivorous plant. They must have fought snakes and gators and all kinds of things to get it for her.

"I almost wish I could have been there to see you all get it for me."

Namora clicked her tongue in feigned irritation, revealing a habit she had picked up from her wife.

"Eh?" Oni laughed as she grabbed her by the jaw and pulled her forward while she held her plant with her other hand. "What was that, warrior?"

Namora's cheeks purpled slightly. "P'atéen tíin juunaj. (Leave me alone.)"

"How could I ever leave you alone?"

The warrior felt her muscles stiffen as the priestess tugged her closer.

"Oni, not outside." Namora grunted as she crumbled on top of her, inhaling sharply as she was quickly flipped over and pinned to the ground with one hand and two legs.

Her lungs expanded with the faint scent of incense and plum as she looked up at her wife, her lilac veil billowing enough to reveal her soft two-toned lips.

Blowing enough to almost reveal her dark brown eyes that melted like chocolate in a fondue fountain whenever they rested on her.

By Chaac, she was in love.

"Why not?"

Oni's voice broke her from her reverie and Namora frowned at the pout in her voice.

"You can't remove your veil outside."

"Oh?" Oni leaned in, still holding her gifted plant close. "So, if we go inside, I can thank you properly for my gift?"

Namora turned as purple as her lover's dress before nodding. "If that is what you wish to do." She took in a small breath as her blush darkened. "Just saying thank you will suffice if you don't-"

"-Nonsense." The priestess whispered lowly. "There's so much I want to do to you."

Namora held her breath as her wife whispered a list of things she wished to do in her ear.

All Namora could do was gasp.

In honour of Pride this June here is a list of ten books that show it’s a very queer world.

Amora Stories by Natalia Borges Polesso, translated by Julia Sanches

From Brazilian writer Natalia Borges Polesso, Amora is a collection of many vignettes around wlw, from teenage first times to wizened women together for decades, running the gamut of tragedy to triumph.

La Bastarda by Trifonia Melibea, translated by Lawrence Schimel

A notable book in several ways, La Bastarda by bisexual feminist Trifonia Melibea is the first novel by a woman from the Equatorial Guinea translated to English. A short YA novel told in the perspective of budding lesbian 16-year-old Okomo who faces a lot. Yet a story that is ultimately uplifting.

Dark Soul by Aleksandr Voinov

Originally created for an erotic piece around guns, Dark Soul by England based emigrant German author Aleksandr Voinov is a mafioso title that stacks up content warnings like its body count. While also offering several characters that are not straight or monogamous. Including one holding a special place in my memory, the genderfluid, hypersexual, and pansexual Silvio Spadaro.

The Diesel by Thani Al-Suwaidi, translated by William M. Hutchins

Equated as a piece of shock fiction to great buzz and controversy, originally published in 1994 but not available and largely ignored in the Emirates for a decade, The Diesel by Thani Al-Suwaidi is a curious achingly little book like the folklore it sits with endures. Taking its name from the nonbinary protagonist and narrator, from a village in the northernmost Emirate, who in this coming-of age story becomes a popular and subversive entertainer in the vein of mukhannathun.

Baker Thief by Claudie Arseneault

A treat of a fantasy queerplatonic novel from a Québécoise author Baker Thief plays with not only romantic tropes but English and French. Claude/Claire (bigender aromantic) bakes by day and steals gems, what are actually witches’ souls, by night. While Adèle (biromantic demisexual) a cop, that was just unceremoniously transferred because of her tendency to try and root out corruption wherever it lies, has made it her mission to apprehend the masked thief.

Fin & Rye & Fireflies by Harry Cook

Set in Australia Fin & Rye & Fireflies begins with Fin, (gay) a teen new to town after he was outed and his conservative religious parents uproot the family moving closer to a “therapy camp” (i.e., the conversion sort). Still Fin develops a crush on Rye (gay) who has lived in the seaside hamlet his whole life. Along with Fin quickly making fast friends with other queer teens. This YA novel dedicated by the celebrity author to all the LGBTQIA+ love stories he wishes he read as a young gay kid, channeling a little of cult musicals too, is likely to bring all the feels.

Halfway Human by Carolyn Ives Gilman

American author Carolyn Ives Gilman in 1998 made a striking debut with the science fiction novel Halfway Human. When an unprecedented and genderless visitor from the currently closed off planet of Gammadis lands in one of the clinics on the moon Capella Two after a suicide attempt, xenologist Val is called in. A unique opportunity she finds much more than one could first imagine as the patient named Telda begins to share its story. This is one of my favourite novels in the genre, if not in general of all time. Nominated for awards, even today a reader might see why this was such a buzzed about book. Themes examining gender, class, exploitation, and capitalism continue to resonate. (FYI, please consult the content notes provided in the link.)

The Kiss Murder by Mehmet Murat Somer, translated by Kenneth Dakan

A bit of a semi-retirement project for author Mehmet Murat Somer, the Hop-Çiki-Yaya mystery series crafted to a bit of a different beat first began publishing in Turkey in the early 2000s. In The Kiss Murder, a feisty trans drag queen protagonist, styled in old Hollywood fashion Audrey Hepburn in particular, tries to the find the murderers of one of the girls from their club.

Herculine Barbin translated by Richared McDougall

French intersex figure Herculine Adélaïde Barbin sadly committed suicide in 1868. Still, a life not only inspiring the date of Intersex Solidarity Day on November 8th, leaving behind a memoir that has also been the basis for adaptations on both stage and film. The English edition comes with an introduction by Michel Foucault and other added material.

Tentacle by Rita Indiana, translated by Achy Obejas

Tentacle by Rita Indiana from the Dominican Republic is a subversive and award-winning cli-fi novel. The main character described in the original title, (La mucama de Omicunlé) Acilde is a maid and sex worker desiring to get a dramatic expensive drug for a sex change. And as it happens also prophesied as the male saviour in a traditional Afro-Caribbean religion. This one book I still haven’t come to a complete assessment of. Tentacle is writing likely worth the dive but, just as beautiful as sea anemones are, there are those that pack a powerful sting.

So many different universes, so many different possibilities. And in some loves Sigyn and their different stories. Pictures and brief information have been written about some of these possibilities.But what is her full story, we don't know. But we can spin them further in our thoughts ^^

The whole project here serves to show the possibilities and potential that Sigyn would have had within the Marvel Universe. How she could have been reintroduced, her story made new and more exciting. #JusticeForSigyn stands for creating Sigyn content because Marvel doesn't give us any.

Amora's secret

Sigyn and Amora were as different as day and night. And yet they shared many secrets, inseparable friends who would walk through fire for one another. Full of confidence, they look forward to a life that promises them happiness and contentment. But her dreams are soon overtaken by an incredibly cruel reality: a murder, a lie, a betrayal, a promise and jealousy will brutally change her life.

And while Sigyn is doing everything to get the whole thing clear - for Amora everything is already certain without open words. And Sigyn soon stumbles upon a clue that is said to exceed her worst fears... But it's only the beginning of a nightmare!

The archer (AU)

At the beginning of the 15th century:

During the fight for her father's castle, the little daughter of Count Iwaldi von Quitzow is lost in the forest, where she is first taken in by charcoal burners and then raised by an outlawed nobleman. Years later, she sets out alone to fulfill a promise she made to her dying foster brother, Thor. In search of his little brother and her own family, she not only has to assert herself in dangerous situations with bow and dagger in her hands, but also repeatedly has to deal with the strict norms and rules of conduct to which she is subject as a woman. Will her special abilities and newfound friends help her fulfill Thor's dying wish and regain her rightful place as a noble? Or does she have to deny herself to find happiness?

Sigyn the bride who doesn't dare

Earth 8899

Raised with seven brothers, the confident Sigyn can wield a sword, swear and ride horses as well as a man. Smiling well and keeping their mouths shut aren't really their strengths. Nor is she keen on becoming a man's obedient wife until she catches a glimpse of the naked Loki King of Jotunheim. The well-built demigod makes her weak for the first time and awakens a passion in her like she hasn't known before. And Loki is also completely controlled by the beautiful, albeit scratchy Sigyn and willing to do anything to win her heart. But Sigyn lets him down, but Loki is not impressed by that and froze in her family's marriage. With that, Sigyn has to get married whether she wants to or not, but she can't, so she runs away not knowing her husband is always 3 steps ahead.

The Blood Curse of the Valkyrie

Welcome to Earth 823:

What are you doing to prevent the Valkyries from ever giving one and thus remaining pure warriors? Odin's mother Bestla had only one sane solution after she betrayed her husband in his bed with a Valkyrie, a blood curse. Any woman who wanted to become a Valkyrie had to take a blood oath and be a virgin. If this was no longer the case, she was not allowed to become a Valkyrie!

The blood curse is activated when a Valkyrie lost her virginity without first resigning from her duties, only then would the curse be lifted. If this was not the case, her blood turned to pure gold and the Valkyrie froze to her full size and was publicly displayed as a memorial. You will speak Verbatim to Golden Statue.

Sigyn knows about all this and became a Valkyrie. But she is chosen as the victim of a fatal bet and soon she faces the consequences and becomes Golden Statue. And Loki guilty of that... will he shatter on his own vanity or finally get a heart of ice?

Vanaheim's secret

Vanaheim once had a ruling family that was destroyed by wars and internal divisions. The last descendant of this family is Sigyn, but she does not live royally, but rather modestly and withdrawn in her somewhat larger estate and cultivated fields. She has said two diners dying by her side are rather well-paid farmhands. A man and his wife with their 4 children. They live in their own house near Sigyn's Gut's estate. They work together and Ingrid helps Sigyn with the housework. They lead a modest but happy life.

One day when Sigyn is out on the market selling crops, she meets a man. He introduces her as Theoric who is looking for work, Sigyn who could need additional help with the grain harvest asks him to work with her on the farm. In return, he asks her to take care of her horses, which he gratefully accepts. And he moves to her farm as a harvest helper. But the truth is that behind this is the form of Theoric Loki, who escaped from Asgard after faking his death. He turned his back on Asgard and everyone else when he found out what his true heritage was.

Over time, the two get closer, Loki only fights against it because he knows that nobody would get involved with an Ice Risen. But the feeling of attraction is stronger and the two fell into their passion so much that they can hardly keep their hands on each other. Nevertheless, all good things come to an end at some point and hers came half a year later. Because Loki, whom everyone only knows as Theoric, leaves Vanaheim overnight without saying a word. And Sigyn keeps an unexpected gift that will see the light of day 9 months later. But she's broken, she loves Theoric and he just left her before she knew she was pregnant, let alone telling him he was going to be a father. But worse was to come.

The Stolen Smile story by @roruna

Sigyn fell through an unseen portal in Vanaheim and landed in Midgard long ago. It could've

been worse, she supposed. She could've ended up in Muspelheim or Jotunheim. But she was still stuck in a primitive realm with no way to get home.

At first, she tried to reach out to the magic users of this realm but… it never went well. Either

they were too weak to see the portals or they were charlatans or they got arrested for witchcraft.

At first, she hid in convents. They were more than happy to accept a young woman with no past so long as she said the right things.

But every decade it got harder and harder to hide. Universities were useful. No one stuck

around for long and so long as she "enrolled" with a new name, even the professors didn't

notice. They didn't look much at students' faces.

For the next few years, Sigyn would be Darcy Lewis, political science major. She'd majored in a vast number of subjects over the years. It was something to do and she hoped that in time, the most learned mortals would find a way to create portals to other realms or even just detect them.

She'd almost forgotten about this hope when she saw an announcement from Dr Jane Foster, astrophysicist, looking for an intern. She applied immediately and hacked into the school's computer network to delete every other application.

Listening to Jane talk, she never felt more hopeful. She knew! Even if her fellow mortals were skeptical and everything Jane said was "purely theoretical", she was right. Dr Foster, Dr Selvig and Darcy Lewis went to New Mexico.

Darcy recognized the bifrost when it dumped Thor practically at their feet. She couldn't let Thor slip from her grip. So rather than risk Jane getting back in the van and driving away scared, Darcy tased the god of thunder.

Darcy kept her distance and just watched when Thor broke into SHIELD's quarantine area. She

watched Thor barrel through Midgard's most highly trained warriors. She watched him find

Mjolnir. She watched him fail to lift his hammer. She watched Thor let himself be arrested.

She was trying to devise a plan to get Thor out of SHIELD custody when she saw something else. She saw a man in black suit who looked more like a better class of crime boss than an underpaid government enforcer. She watched him walk into the quarantine area and stroll through its plastic corridors and try his own hand at picking up Mjolnir.

She was the only one who saw him. Even Thor didn't see the man until he allowed himself to be seen. She followed him into the darkness of the desert until they were well away from the SHIELD floodlights.

"Yes?" he asked as if they were strangers on the same train.

"Um…" she said, caught off guard.

She straightened up and walked over to him. He watched her, a hint of a grin on his face.

"How did-?" She began.

"I could hear you trying to breathe quietly," he said.

Which was strangely embarrassing.

"And you weren't worried?" She asked. He shrugged.

"Thieves and assassins are very good at sneaking around. If you were any kind of threat, I wouldn't have noticed you," he said.

"I saw you well enough," she said, trying not to sound huffy.

"Yes, that was curious," he said. "I didn't think I'd encounter magic users among the mortals."

"Well, I'm not mortal," she said. "I'm Vanir. From Vanaheim."

"What's your name?" He asked.

"Darcy Lewis," she answered automatically.

"Want to try again?" He asked.

"Sigyn Freyadottir," she said. "You?"

"Loki…" he said and sounded like he was going to say more but stopped. "I'm the acting king of Asgard."

"Loki Odinson," she said. "How did you get here without using the bifrost?" He just grinned. Without thinking, she ran to him. She grabbed the lapels of his jacket and looked at him desperately.

"Your majesty, please," she begged. "I've been trapped on this rock for centuries. If you can get me back to Vanaheim, I'll do whatever you want." And just to skip over the coy smirk and him asking "anything?", she kissed him. She certainly didn't kiss him because she was so attracted to him that it was scary, of course not.

The kiss caught him completely by surprise. She wiped the smug grin from his face. Suddenly he was staring in shock and his pale face was pink. One kiss was all it took to steal his smile.

"Please take me home," she pleaded.

After taking her through the portal to Vanaheim, Loki thought of nothing else but Sigyn Freyadottir. It should be embarrassing. Was a kiss from a pretty girl really all it took to

completely derail Loki's plans? He thought of that builder and old King Thrym and the scores of frost giants who were desperate for Freya's hand in marriage.

He always thought the idea of everyone falling in love with Freya was slightly ridiculous but maybe there was something to it. As if he didn't need another reason to hate being a frost giant.

A curse that made him obsessed with Freya and her kin was just rude.

After being gone for centuries and presumed dead, Sigyn fit in back in Vanaheim about as well as she did on Midgard. She was surrounded by strangers with faces she barely remembered.

Her mother and sisters weren't happy to have her back once the initial euphoria wore off.

She could feel their resentment whenever they had to make space for her. For her part, it took all her willpower not to ask why no one ever bothered to look for her in the first place. She felt anxious and bitter all the time. Loki stole her smile just by doing what she asked.

Loki could've confronted Heimdall when he snuck Sif and the warriors three to Midgard. He could've lured Laufey into a trap and gained Odin's favor. He could've sent soldiers or the

Destroyer to eliminate Thor and everyone else who'd betrayed him.

He didn't know how he ended up going to Vanaheim instead. The ceremonial armor with horned helm stayed on Asgard. He was back in his black and green leather armor. His feet took him to Sessrumnir, Freya's hall. Sigyn was in the garden looking more lost at home than she'd looked back on Midgard.

"How does it feel to be home?" He asked.

"Fine, I guess. How does it feel to be king of Asgard?" She asked.

"Fine, I guess," he said.

They shared a brief smile.

"I don't… know what I'm doing here," he said, fidgeting with his fingers.

"Me neither. I don't know what you're doing here, I mean. I know what I'm doing here," she lied.

"Aren't you supposed to be kinging back on Asgard?"

"It's all about to fall apart," he said with a snort. "All I'll have waiting for me on Asgard is a dungeon cell."

"That sucks," she said. "What happened?"

"I'm a frost giant," Loki said.

"Uh huh?" She said after a long silence.

"You've been on Midgard too long," he chuckled. More solemnly, he said, "I suppose that I came here to say goodbye."

"Where are you going?" She asked, ignoring the knot in her stomach.

"I don't know. I just know I can't stay on Asgard. I don't belong there," he said. "I don't belong anywhere."

Why did the thought of never seeing Loki again terrify her more than the thought of never seeing her family again?

"You're going to think I'm nuts," she said. "I don't even know you."

"That makes two of us," he said. "I'm not… a nice person."

He was nicer than he realized but she wasn't going to say so just yet.

"I'm not nice either," she said grinning.

He took her hand and for a while they just stood in silence, just staring at their clasped hands.

"You plague my thoughts, Freyadottir," he said.

"Sorry," she said and shrugged.

"Come with me," he said, suddenly.

"Yeah, took you long enough," she said. She glanced back at her mother's hall. "But I need to

leave a note. Don't want Mom to freak out when she notices I'm gone." Loki moved his hands with a flourish, conjuring a pen and piece of paper.

"That," she said, taking the pen and paper. "Was really cool."

"I can teach you," he said. He stepped closer and gave her a mischievous smile. "There are so many things I could teach you."

"Says the guy who went beet red and can't focus on kinging anymore because of a little peck," she replied grinning.

Loki pouted. She had to kiss him again. He turned what should've been another little peck into the sort of kiss that stole her breath.

"Okay, you know more than I thought," she said.

He winked at her. She tucked her goodbye note under the door. Holding hands and smiling, they stole away.

The Blacksmith of a Thousand Keys

At first glance, Loki is a normal young woman: she is enjoying life, studying magic in Asgard and Midgard, and has been staunchly single since the tragic loss of her first love. Few of her friends know that Loki belongs to a great order of Midgard mages that protect people from supernatural beings of the dimension. One day, Loki is attacked by one of these creatures and seriously injured. It quickly becomes clear that the attack couldn't have happened properly, so Asgard, Vanaheim and Nidavellir sends his elite man Sig to Midgard to clarify the matter together with Loki. Sig is not only attractive, arrogant and flirty - but also one of the best blacksmiths in all 9 worlds - all things that really get on Loki's nerves. But he's also so forbidden sexy that soon she won't be able to resist him anymore...

The enemy who knew too much

In a shipwreck, the only 3-year-old Sigyn falls into the clutches of human traffickers. She is abducted to a strange world and trained as an assassin there. As a young woman, she seeks her roots and makes the long journey to Nidavellir, where a bitter war is raging between the clans and the dwarves. When Sigyn is badly injured in an attack, they were saved by the Asgardians of all people. She regains her strength in one of Asgard's great mansions. But their rescue is not free. In Asgard, she is led before Odin, who does not reveal the origin of her goods to her, but also tells her as a high-ranking noble who keeps her captive in one of his great houses. She becomes Asgard's plaything in the Dwarf War and even if Sigyn does everything to prevent this - she has no idea that the games about her person have only just begun. Although she makes powerful enemies with it: the king of Jotunheim, who would like to see her dead...

Desire in the darkness

Until Loki dreams of Sigyn's future... And he seeks help from the person who betrayed him before.

Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman

Signy is small. Unfortunately somehow too small. And she wishes for nothing more than a few inches more height. However, these are the least of their problems at the moment, because Sigyn hates snow, can't ski and thinks ski instructors are arrogant machos who want to tow away everything with a breast. But she of all people is persuaded to swap the crocuses for ice flowers for a week and to accompany her mother Skadi's best friend on her skiing holiday. There it turns out that in truth... everything is much worse!

Instead of the promised relaxation, Sigyn expects a lot of bruises, an unwanted blind date and eccentric pensioners who apparently have something to hide. And Loki. Loki who can ski so perfectly and embodies all of Sigyn's prejudices. Unfortunately, he's also insanely charming and hot...

What form of an animal become your patronus?

Like most snakes, black mambas can be associated with great wisdom and a sharp mind. Snakes are powerful symbols, and those whose patronus takes the form of a serpent tend to also be powerful people in kind. The black mamba is unique in that it only forms for those who show a special kind of mind. Percival: Wolf.

Those who wield a wolf patronus will protect friends and family with a feirce passion. While first impressions can lead one to believe the wolf patronus belongs to a strong silent type, they also have a playful side underneath. However, this is only displayed towards trusted individuals.

Me: Mine is a Dragonfly!

Dragonflies are representative of what it means to be light, reflective, and full of joy - in all senses of the words. Dragonfly medicine tends to be very emotional and passionate, often accompanying a great revelation or discovery of self. This Patronus may be tiny, but its spirit is enough to battle any Dementor.

I'm not sure if you have any specific characters you'd like to read about, so I'll mention some of my favorite writers!!

alright so. first things first. if you haven't read I've become the villain's lover! yet I urge you to do so because it's so good. genuinely I think about it constantly. the manhwa tropes for each dorm leader fit so well and are delightfully cliche to read about, definetly one of my faves!! Liya is super sweet too and her writing deserves all the love!!

if you'd like some good soulmates au with Jade then check A human myth of red out! even if soulmates aus are not your cup of tea (as they aren't much of mine either) I still reccomend it, Aqua's writing is wonderful and all of the inner reflections and break of expectations accompany Jade's character so well!

DREW'S WRITING OMG. this Cater roommates au is AMAZING. GIVE IT A READ!!! Cater is soooo in character and it's so funny too! also, this fake dating with Jade fic. literally life changing. one of my faves ever ever ever. my mind lives there I'm always thinking about how good it is! got me kicking my feet and giggling!!!

idk how long you've been in the fandom, but I think you might have stumbled upon Laurie's writing before, all her scenarios are so nice to read, she's very creative! I personally really like this Reader turns into a siren (with Jade), as you call feel all the allure from reader and Jade's yearning!

KIMIKO IS SOOO FUNNY, seriously you'll be laughing out loud at your phone when reading her works! one of my all time faves of hers is this living with the housewardens as it's so domestic... I love domesticity... but fr give her masterlist a look, it's super worth it!!

Moray's butler Jade is so nice too, I really like the dynamic as he is a bit of a butler type character!

Pando's writing is also super nice to read! I've really liked her recent Rook event prompt, even if you don't like Rook that much I garantee this will make you fall a bit for him, the imagery is just soooo good!

Mob's dorm leaders turn into cats series seems to be so cute too! I'll admit I still have to read it, but I'm sure it's very good (I promise I'll read it once I get enough time to do so!!)

Rui's Diasomnia freetime is so cute and funny, definetly a light hearted read to lift up your mood! their works make me smile a lot!

MAL IS SO FUNNY, all her smau posts are wonderful, I really like the Kalim idol series! all the characters interactions are so funny fr she got me giggling at my phone with every update! the ignoring them series was the first of their works that I've read and it still has got a special place in my heart <3 how about your good dose of first years roommates? and if you're feeling up to some angst how about this Diasomnia royal au?

AMORA'S WRITING IS LOVELY, all of the imagery and metaphors are truly breathtaking, I never get tired of reading her works <33 it's a MUST to read this amazing Jamil fic, literally so canon, I love the dynamic between reader and Jamil soooo much! Amora's Jamil is god tier, you'll fall in love with her writing too! also, take this Jamil love languages, it'll warm up your heart <3

I don't even know where to start with Cherry's writing. the way she elaborates headcanons is very captivating and how she inserts little references for their disney movies is so endearing! I've been thinking a lot about this Silver fic lately, the whole atmosphere is so reminiscent of The Sleeping Beauty! honestly? here, just take her whole masterlist and have fun, you'll be there for hours, so enjoy to your hearts content <3

obviously there are many other writers and fics I could reccomend, but these are the first ones that come to mind! twst fandom has a lot of wonderful people that are willing to share their works with us and I'm very grateful for that!
