I just realized that Marcy or Sasha (Amphibia) could’ve entered the Infinity Train (and maybe go through a similar situation like Ryan and Min Gi). Mostly because their numbers are in sinc.

OOooo,I like the idea of that!

I think both of them would think the higher their numbers get the closer they are to 'winning' at the train. For Marcy its sort of like playing a JRPG but in real life. She doesn't even consider the idea of going back home, if anything she plans to stay on for as long as possible. She's really good at all the puzzle cars but she doesn't really get the emotional lessons that you're supposed to learn from them most of the time. There are moments where she does start to understand that the train is supposed to help you heal but she tries to ignore it and keep herself busy with each cars' 'quest'. She'll spend literal weeks in a car, recording just about everything there is to know in her journal while taking as many side-quests from 'NPCs' (The denizens) as she can before leaving to explore the next car

For Sasha she's more focused on getting home but she also gets wrapped up in trying to get the highest number possible while following Marcy's little JRPG adventure. She's better pretty good at solving puzzles cars too but not exactly how you're supposed to solve them. She knows how to talk to people and get them to like her so she uses that to her advantage, skipping the important life lessons part of the train entirely by tricking denizens. When that doesn't work she isn't above just breaking shit, but it's tooootally fine (She tells herself) it's all part of beating the train. I think she'd be the first one to question why their numbers are so high but they're not any closer to getting home but that'll make her throw herself even harder into going through more cars and getting her number even higher

I'm not sure if they could ever actually get off but without Anne or Grimes it would take a LONG while

Bonus Stage

This turned out to be surprisingly popular on Twitter!  So far it hasn't attracted many new patrons, but it's still very nice to be seen.  I hope everyone here is enjoying it too, though it's a passion project stealing time away from my original work!  But like I said, it's good practice for Witch Warp.

Footnotes:  Anne’s feet.  Maybe it’s taboo, but it’s my AU, so I figured I’d have my druthers regarding Anne’s famous footwear (specifically, that she's canonically disheveled and always missing a shoe).  Her new boots are based on a design by a storyboard artist.  Mr. Applegate says he drew them on a lark, but I liked ‘em.

Speaking of body parts, the conditions which the Calamity Trio receive here are based on a fan theory which became popular prior to the show’s completion.  In my version, each wound flowers from a previous trauma - Anne’s clobbered arm, Sasha’s scar, and Marcy’s spinal injury.

Anyway, thanks for being patient while I humor my muse.  I'll get back to my own shared universe soon!

Wa-ha-ha! Behold, a new chapter. TWENTY-ONE THOUSAND WORDS OF IT!

This is the longest chapter I've ever written. While the time-span was 3 months, the chapter actually took around 2 months to write. There was a lot of rewriting, backtracking and editing involved, and it's at a level that makes me wonder whether it's worth it. But it's a chapter I've planned to do for a long time, so yeah, it's worth it.

Also, I'm sick right now. Like, physically ill. I have to go to the doctor's tomorrow to get an MC so I can be excused from work.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this one because I don't think I'll ever write something as long as this ever again. Toodles! :D

maybe that wasn’t the best choice if you wanted Anne to remember your deal, Domino 3

my speculation/headcanon is that the girls, immediately upon their final return from Amphibia, were picked up by Mr. X and his team and brought to a secure facility, for the purpose of retaining their privacy while the FBI worked on PR following the invasion and Anime Girl vs Lizard Robot battle, and to give them some much needed medical treatment/examination. 

They stay there for a short while under observation. Sasha gets her back patched up properly, Marcy is given some transfusions to normalize her fluids after the “rejuv tank green blood” incident, and they do some scans on Anne to see if there’s any trace of the blue anime power still in her system. Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy are on site working with Mr. X, discussing possible witness protection programs, privacy for the girls, what to do about their missed year of school, etc, and Sasha and Marcy’s parents are FINALLY contacted. 

i love Joe Johnston’s Non-Canon Alternate Ending , and the idea of Anne forgetting her deal with Domino 3 and just passing on. This is my interpretation, that Anne gets the occasional flash of memory for her time “in between” with Domino 3, such as naming her next cat Domino 4. But even when some of those events come back to her, she doesn’t recall specifics in her waking mind. Anything she can remember feels like a very distant dream.

Finally was able to expand upon an idea cooking in my mind for a good bit which was a kinda battle mask (Basically whenever conflict is engaged their “human” mouth would be covered with this extravagant layer o’ metal to protect em!)

Ive redrawn that same pose like five million times on different canvases with every attempt so ive made like zero progress 💀

But now that I have your attention I wanted to expand on Mace’s lore cuz I feel like it and I think i promised to make a post about it

So.

I dont know about any of you you guys-

I personally feel like Darcy the core and Alderitch coulda be so much cooler!

Like dont get me wrong. I like Darcy design wise! They’ve literally been living in my head rent free ever since their first teaser! (It’s a blessing and a curse please send help hshshHahabbfnsuaha)

But I personally feel like plot wise they were kinda lacking :(

And the idea of a bucha a n c i e n t newts consciousnesses invading a 13/14 year old kids mind forcefully is kinda…gross.

So.

I was brainstorming and came up with this:

When the core was first teased. Back in the ye olde days in the pre True colors when the fandom called it the Night-

Im not the only one that thought it was some sorta god right?

A giant mass of orange eyes that a powerful King that ruled for thousands of years kneels down to and calls “Master?”

Idk about you but that gives off omnipotent eldritch horror vibes to me.

So I basically took that concept and expanded upon that and incorporated bits of the lore that Andrias dropped about his kind.

Specifically about how he said that his kind were conquerers.

Why?

Sure. It could purely be a generational trauma thing.

His father did it. His father’s father did it. And his father’s father’s father did it as well.

That could be the end of it.

No one really knows why they conquer and enslave races other than “tradition.”

Maybe Andrias only mentions it all is so he can bask in his triumph. To feel a deluded sense of pride in his lineage for finally being able to continue the work of his forefathers after thousands of years of resentment and regret planted in his mind by his own father that twisted and corrupted his perception on reality.

Maybe Matt just thought those sequences up on the spot and they sorta made sense.

Theres alotta maybes and to my knowledge thats about the extent of it

But im not satisfied with that

So I took that concept. The conquering inter dimensional newts and elevated it.

The core was never a series of Newtopia’s “greatest minds.”

It was always an omnipotent being.

An all seeing all knowing all powerful elderitch horror that is always hungry.

Thats why Andrias’ ancestors invaded other worlds!

Whether it was out of fear or necessity or a deal made with the devil

The reason they invaded is because the core is always hungry. And it needed to feed. So they sacrificed whole worlds to the core just to satiate its ravenous appetite.

And it would explain why in the last season Amphibia was being siphoned for all its resources

Not only was it for the factories, the frobo army, and the mind control devices

It was to stave off the cores hunger until the invasion of earth could surpass

And I didnt forget about all those newts that died and had their brain transferred to the core originally oh nonono

They still sacrificed themselves. But not to join the core or become anything greater. Despite what they believed or what they were promised by the core, Alderitch and all those newts who made up the canon core were nothing more than willing sacrifices to the cores endless hunger. They realistically died for nothing.

So. With this concept/au/rewrite/whatever solves alot of the inconsistencies in the plot and also gets rid of the gross old newts in 13 year olds brain plot

Lemme know what you think of this concept! Im open to criticism and any ideas anyone is willing to share and will do my best to respond to em!

Anne Boonchuy - Tempestuous

- Anne thought she was a mundie until Hop Pop used the word - She was unaware of her epithet until whatever this AU's equivalent of True Colors is, but has used it subconsciously before - The leaves are like Molly's stars, they are part of her hair and will grow back if she removes them - Her epithet only works while feeling intense and/or conflicting emotion. When she can use it, she can control and summon lightning, rain, and wind For people who don't know, tempestuous means (1) very stormy, (2) characterized by intense emotion

Marcy (+ Darcy) Wu - Puzzle

- Marcy's epithet allows her to think faster and in a more focused state than normal, rather than solve problems for her. She can only use it on one problem at a time. - Can also confuse people and summon puzzle pieces - Darcy is a side effect of her epithet. The more Marcy uses her epithet, the more Darcy manifests. They're kind of a living puzzle whose rules constantly change and is immune to Marcy's epithet. Can also occasionally possess Marcy, usually when she's weak/has little stamina. - Marcy discovered her epithet much, much earlier than the other two Calamity girls which is why she has much more control over it and has more abilities

Sasha Waybright - Fiery

- Sasha can summon fire and control it. It gets stronger when she is feeling anger or is passionate about whatever she is using her epithet for. - She has (arguably) the weakest epithet out of the trio. It does get stronger after this AU's equivalent of Reunion, Turning Point, and All In however - Sasha is known as the "hottest person in school" at Saint James. Pun very intended. - Her hair turns into fire when using her epithet post Turning Point
