The best part is, you can always re-roll. Noone is going to be disappointed if you don't do the random promot of the day. Its just am option for those who would overly spend time scheduling their journal prompts and planing on writing thier journal without actually doing it. (Yay executive dysfunction.)

Chronic stress induces physiologic changes in addition to mental and emotional changes. These include atrophy and neurogenesis disorders within the brain, hormonal changes, changes in digestive function and appetite, increased blood pressure and cardiovascular disease, and immune impairment.
Additionally, when people say "your stress/depression/anxiety is in your head." Duh! Its a disorder affecting my brain. It's like saying "asthma is in your lungs." There are very real changes occurring on the molecular level that are resulting in your signs.
If you can't make your own, store bought serotonin is fine.

Getting professional help for mental health is nothing to be ashamed of! Unfortunately, the stigma still exists despite best efforts. Additionally, the healthcare system is pretty f**ked in the US of A. Here is a place to reachout to for referrals that I found recently. You don't need to have a substance abuse problem or insurance to contact them. They have information about local and online treatment as well as referrals to the state offices which are responsible for state-funded treatment programs.

I'm entitled to my thoughts and feelings and I don't owe an explanation to anyone. I do owe it to myself to continually challenge myself and grow in ways that are healthy. Complacency is comfortable but not always good for me.

Emotions must be felt in order to be processed. This includes negative and positive emotions. My goal is to eventually live in the moment and process emotions in a healthy manner. In the meantime, I'm setting aside time in my week to reflect and process my emotions and experiences.
