"...Their setting is both historical Ireland (itself and elusive entity) and the mythic otherworld of the Síde (Ireland's 'faery people', who live in burial mounds called 'síde' and exhibit magical powers), and it is not always easy to tell one from the other." From the introduction to Early Irish Myths and Sagas by Jeffery Gantz

'Aes Sídhe' , or 'People of the Mounds', are comparable to fairies or elves within Irish Mythology. Said to live underground in fairy mounds, they either are from across the western sea, or coexist in a realm alongside our own.
Part 1 of what I plan to make an ongoing series! I love the creatures of fairytales and mythology, so I'm starting a tarot-card-style series to practice my creature design with my interpretations of them! Please enjoy, and if anyone has any suggestions let me know!

Do you think the aos sí live only in Ireland or are they present throughout the world? As a member of the Irish diaspora looking to reconnect with Irish spirituality, I’m not sure if leaving milk and honey out will do anything unless I’m living in Ireland (as well as doing other practices etc). I have yet to come across anything that says “the aos sí are everywhere” or “the aos sí are only in Ireland”.
Hello Anon!
I think the reason there isn't a definitive answer to this question is that this isn't a question with a definitive answer. I have heard both sides of this and it seems like, to me, it can be both - in the sense that the same aos sí may not reside in both, but different aos sí may appear in various places.
I also think this is a two-part question. First question being, "Where do the aos sí reside?", followed by, "If they reside in multiple locations, does the way we address them need to change according to that location?"
The first question is harder for me to answer, because I don't work with the Good Folk very often -- though I will pay respects if I think they are present. In a way this means that I do think that they are "everywhere", but I don't think the Good Neighbors in Ireland are necessary the same entities in my American backyard -- just the same classification, perhaps.
For the second question, I think I can more confidently answer that this will always depend on who you are dealing with. I don't think starting out with the classics (eg: milk and honey) would hurt, but I think being open to adjusting as you learn more about who you are interacting with is a must.
I'm still waking up as I answer this so please let me know if you have any questions or if I didn't coherently answer this XD;

You know, I was cooking up a rewrite for Lostbelt 7 that mostly followed the original story beats while incorporating a couple of servants that I wanted to introduce, but I let that project fall to the wayside after I started working on Lostbelt Ireland.
I might write out an outline of my rewrite after Lostbelt 7 comes out on NA though.

First pass at Aedlyn and his armor.
The first pose is a map of his scars. 1-2 are from attempted assassinations on the battlefield, 3 is from being gored on a hunt (never again), 4 is from nearly degloving his knee on a stony riverbed, and 5 is from being caught in a human snare trap in his younger years.
In the third outfit he wears a brat, a type of robe with a usually woolen fringe worn by the nobility of Ireland, but as he is a prince of the Aes Sídhe he can much afford a pristine fur fringe to contrast the rich red of the cloak. He sports the colors of the royal Ua'Cruachan house: white, red, and black, and has the insignia of a snake impaled on a sword on his right pauldron. The construction of his white steel armor is reminiscent of the leaves of the holly bush. His greatsword, pictured above him, is of a meteoric alloy and is much lighter and more maneuverable as a result.
