Masking - Comic Script
Prequel - Age 16
A look into Wolfram's life as a teenager and interactions with his family. I'm hoping people get the many subtexts in this one cuz I'm tired of thought bubbles. 😂
Wolfram Saga Comics
This is the script for a future comic. Posting for those who don’t want to wait to get the story. Numbers indicate frame number.
Teenage Wolfram and Klaus walking around the ruins of Schism. Wolf looking unamused. Klaus talking excitedly “- and her parents taught her to weave! You should have seen her shawl. The embroidery was -” Note - ‘Wolfram Age 16 Burdened Eldest Brother’ ‘Klaus Age 15 Carefree Younger Brother’
Wolf annoyed “*Really?!* Are girls all you think about these days? The business is failing, that bastard king destroyed the very place we walk, there are rumors of Garleans at the Western borders, our sister's run off again, and your mind travels to the new neighbor?”
A) Klaus frowns “Come now, Wolf. It's not as if there's anything I can do about those other things.” B) Wolf looks over, hurt frown “You could show others how angry I know you are so I'm not alone.”
Klaus smiles sadly and puts a hand on Wolf’s back in comfort “What's the point in showing anger? If this is really about Grandpa, I miss him too. I wasn't there, but there was nothing you could have done for him.” Wolf sighs in defeat “Funny, I'm the one with the gift, but it's as if you're reading me. It was his time. I know I couldn't save him…my mind knows anyroad.”
A) Klaus smiles “Well have your mind tell your body to stop moping about and sleeping all day, yeah?” B) Wolf embarrassed, defensive “I'm just tired is all. I have to work more than you since I'm not worth teaching. Worry about your studies, not me.”
A) Wolf smiles, deflecting “Anyroad, tell me about the Roegadyn girl.” Thought ‘Perhaps if I smile enough they'll all stop asking if I'm okay.’ B) Klaus beams “Ah! Well she's sooo tall and pretty. I saw her light a torch and she didn't even need a ladder!”
Wolf laughs “Really?! That's what you're into? A gal who can tower over you?” Klaus smug “Nothing wrong with appreciating someone for their strengths… in her case both figurative and literal.”
A) Klaus smiles encouragingly - "You'll understand when you have a girlfriend." B) Wolf smirks, chuckling - "I don't want a girlfriend."
Klaus elbows him, laughing - "Or a boyfriend. You know what I meant." Wolf scoffs - "I don't want one of those either. Everyone around here is so boring."
A) Klaus pouts - "Well I think Falling Blossom is interesting." B) Wolf smirks - "I'm sure she is. Good luck with your courting or whatever." Thought ‘Sounds perfectly normal - boring.’
A) Klaus looks off, stars in eyes "I bet she’d have to pick me up to kiss.” B) Wolf snorts “I wouldn't suggest saying that to her. Compliment her actions - the things she got to choose.”
Klaus glances at Wolf curiously "What do you know about woo-ing women? Have you even kissed anyone yet?"
A) Wolf scoffs matter-of-factly "No. If everyone around here is boring why would I want to kiss them?" B) Klaus confused "Well, you know…because they're pretty? Or handsome. Whatever."
Wolf shrugs “A person simply having good looks doesn't make me interested. If you have an idea to change that I'd hear it. Dad’s already said he's worried about me…and then told me a bunch of other things I have no use for.”
Klaus ponders "You're just… odd. Maybe it works in reverse for you? If you kiss someone first you'll start to like them? What about trying with inn guests? There are often travelers our age and it won't be awkward since they’ll leave.”
Wolf ponders "Worth a try. I suppose it makes sense… I didn't like mushrooms until you snuck them into those flatbread the other day." Klaus chuckles "Aye, it's exactly like that."
Zoomed out shot as they're almost to the main area. Off camera shriek. They run.
Young girl facing a large Spector.
She dodges an attack.
A) Little fist colliding with the Spector’s face. B) Spector fading .
Ana smirks proudly “That arsehole snuck up on me while I was playing with its friend. Coward. So, is dinner ready then?” Note - 'Ana - Age 9 - Rowdy Little Sister'
Klaus chuckles, a hand on his chakram belt. “Language, miss.” Wolf holding his sword, looking serious. He was just ready for battle. “Hells, let's get out of here. Your cry will have drawn more. Without magic we won't be able to fight them all.”
Wolf picks Ana up, looking at her in amusement - “I'm not sure this is what Mum meant when she was explaining the importance of the spirits here finding rest.” Ana grinning “I'm quicker than waiting on some ol’ geezer to light incense or what-have-you.”
Wolf walking out giving Ana a piggyback ride. Klaus dusting off her shoulder, smiling - “So, warrior priestess, after dinner I'll read you an extra story while Wolf does the dishes if you promise not to tell our parents we let you fight the dead.” Ana grins “I want a story from Wolfie! He makes them up just for me!” Wolf grins “Fine, but no more gladiator stories. I'm clearly being a bad influence.” Thought ‘Gods, I just want to sleep.’

4x14 -
Taylor: "That was it?"
Buck: "Yeah, it felt like some kind of weird reverse psychology thing. I kind of prefer it when he yells at me."
Taylor: "Oh, I could yell at you if you think that would help."
Buck: "Come on, you can't be mad. You weren't even there."
Taylor: "There's at least a half a dozen videos on the internet of your climb up that crane. All taken from nearby windows. Any one of those people could have had a gun and shot at your big stupid head."
Buck: "I was wearing a helmet."
Taylor: "Not made of Kevlar, dumbass."
Buck: "Hang on a second. It almost sounds like you were worried about me."
Taylor: "I'm annoyed with you. You're not invincible. You could have gotten hurt. Or worse."
Buck: "I didn't."
Taylor: "Sorry."
Buck: "Uh, okay."
Taylor: "Not sure where that came from. Could be the wine."
Buck: "Maybe we should talk about it."
Taylor: "I should go."
*she leaves, Buck gets call from Ana to tell him that Eddie's awake*
Buck: "Ana. Everything okay?"
*he's running in the halls to Eddie's room, Ana sees him, smiles, and steps aside*
Eddie: "Hey, Buck."
Buck: "Hey."
...
Eddie: "Appreciate you staying with him."
Buck: "Carla offered to bring him to her house but I figured this was overwhelming enough without having to sleep in a strange bed."
Eddie: "He doing okay?"
Buck: "Better than me. Um... I kind of lost it when I told him you got shot. I'm sorry, I should've held it together."
Eddie: "You were there for him when I couldn't be. That's what matters."
Buck: "Still, I think it might have been better for him if I was the one who got shot."
Tumblr media
...
Taylor: "You are not dead."
Buck: "And you came back. Uh, wasn't sure that was gonna happen."
Taylor: "Yeah, I kind of ran away."
Buck: "Yeah, I noticed."
Taylor: "You didn't chase after me."
Buck: "Listen, I, uh, I spent a long time feeling like I wasn't enough. And I don't want to do that anymore. So, if you don't want me..."
Taylor: "I do. I really do."
...
Eddie: "So, you might have noticed. I almost died. Again. Man, I've had a lot of close calls. This wasn't even my closest."
Buck: "Eddie--"
Eddie: "Just let me finish. After the last time, when the well collapsed on top of me..."
Buck: "Which you survived."
Eddie: "After that, it got me thinking. What would happen to Christopher if I hadn't. So, I went to my attorney and changed my will. So, someday if I, uh...didn't make it, Christopher would be taken care of. By you."
Buck: "What?"
Eddie: "It's in my will if I die you become Christopher's legal guardian."
Buck: "I mean, how does that even work? Don't you need my consent?"
Eddie: "My attorney said you could refuse."
Buck: "But you know I wouldn't."
Eddie: "I know you wouldn't."
Buck: "I mean, he has grandparents. Other family."
Eddie: "After Shannon left, they all tried to guilt me into giving Christopher to them. It's not what I wanted then, it's not what I want now."
Buck: "If it came to that, wouldn't they fight for him?"
Eddie: "I don't know. Maybe. Probably. But no one will ever fight for my son as hard as you. And that is what I want for him."
Buck: "You said you did this last year. Why are you just telling me this now?"
Eddie: "Because, Evan, you came in here the other day and you said you thought it would have been better if it had been you who was shot. You act like you're expendable but you're wrong."
Besides the obvious convo parallels and how Eddie and Taylor already have some parallels and how just two episodes before it was literally framed as her vs Eddie with Buck in the middle, it just kills me every time to see the scene with Buck and Eddie where Buck says that it would have been better for Christopher had he gotten shot, Eddie's expression afterwards, and then of course the legal guardian scene.
Eddie has been reassuring and building Buck up emotionally ever since 3x01 at the very least. We've seen that Maddie has been trying to do that since they were kids and since she's been back on the scene. We saw Buck get closure from Abby in 3x18, we saw that his relationship with Ali didn't work out because she wasn't sure she could handle him still being a firefighter, and we saw how it became a casual thing with Taylor the first time she was around. Now his friendship with Taylor has suddenly morphed into her having feelings for him, and him returning those feelings, and them wanting to move forward, though Taylor was scared and ran away at first. Which I think is more than just coincidence but I digress. The point is that it's been Maddie, Eddie, and Bobby (and the firefam by extension) who have been helping Buck, stone by stone. Bobby is the father figure (with Athena acting the mother figure at times), Maddie is the sister (and the other maternal figure at times), and Eddie is the best friend/partner. But what absolutely just tugs at my heart is that while all three of them are trying to provide support and love to Buck, while also helping him to grow, they're all doing it in different ways, that is relative to their roles.
Eddie's role in Buck's life has expanded, it's grown, and I think not only can we see that in season 4 but I think it's also relevant here. Not just because of how Buck reacted to his being shot or his caring for Christopher, but because we see that the reason Eddie tells Buck the legal guardian info is not because he almost died again, but because of what Buck said. He even says it as much in his dialogue. "Because, Evan, you came in here the other day and you said you thought it would have been better if it had been you who was shot. You act like you're expendable but you're wrong." He wants Buck to know that he matters. Not just to Christopher but to Eddie and them as a family. He even goes so far as to use Buck's name, which definitely grabs Buck's attention, so Buck will hear him.
These guys give something to each other that it doesn't seem any other character can provide for them in a way that they need. Shannon was supposed to be that person for Eddie, that co-parent, but it ended up not working out in the end, even before her death. Now he's started to date Ana and already, the show is pretty much sidelining her and making sure to let the audience know through Carla that Eddie's heart isn't in it. Ali was supposed to be a new start for Buck from what happened with Abby, but in the end, she couldn't handle Buck being a firefighter and taking risks, which is exactly who Buck is, so it didn't mesh. Taylor and Buck had a not so great start in the beginning but then she came back, seemed somewhat changed after the pandemic, and now she's here. But ultimately, like many others have pointed out on here (and they're completely right), that scene where Taylor kisses him before Ana calls, that's a definite echo or callback when Buck used to take risks and get hurt, in order to gain attention. And as we know, Buck didn't make himself a target for those reasons. He did it to protect the firefam, and because he felt like he couldn't protect Eddie when he got shot. He may have told Taylor that but we came in halfway to the conversation so we don't know if he did or not. But Buck's cocky responses to Taylor reminded me of Buck 2.0, Buck 1.0 even. We don't see him as cocky with Bobby before that scene or with Eddie when he talks to him. Not that Taylor didn't see Buck vulnerable before, she did see him when he left the hospital to go see Christopher, but I think it's odd they had Buck acting this way right when Taylor acts on her feelings, then is freaked by it, and runs. Though, imho, I think it was done this way purposely. I also think they chose the difference in wording purposely. Invincible is how Taylor sees Buck thinking of himself vs Expendable is how Eddie sees Buck thinking of himself = Taylor doesn't really know Buck like Eddie does. Even if Buck had told her why he risked himself, the fact that she chose to say that word after the fact means she still doesn't get it. She's right, Buck isn't invincible, but at the heart of it, Buck just thinks he's expendable and that it's better him to take a bullet than the rest of the firefam. He couldn't protect Eddie; like he said, he can protect them. So they definitely showcased the difference here. Taylor is a fling or at the very least, another girlfriend who may be around for a bit, but I doubt it will end in wedding bells and kids if I'm being honest. They don't have that connection; even Abby had a more emotional connection with Buck during their friendship, even before the relationship happened.
I do like that Buck told Taylor that he didn't want to feel like he wasn't enough anymore. That's definite growth and it was good that she had to come to him, he deserved that at the very least. But what made me side eye this conversation between them at the door is that while that was an honest line for Buck to say, it wasn't the entire truth, not what we were shown anyway. He did start to say something to stop her when she ran but Ana called and that took priority, understandably so.
And one thing I just can't stop watching is Eddie's expression (in the gif above when Buck says it would have been better if it was him), to me that expression doesn't just say "what?" but it's heartbroken. When I say that, I'm not talking about the ship or even romance; that's a heartbroken expression because Eddie has been trying to get Buck past this expendable mindset that he has of himself. That Buck is worth something, and to someone. I know everyone talks about the "Are you hurt?" scene in the fire truck with Buck and Eddie but I think there's a very telling scene right before that. When Eddie got shot in 4x13 and fell to the ground, there is a moment, right before we see the captain racing to knock Buck down to the ground, before we see Buck in the sniper's sights, Eddie glances up and you can see the fear in his expression. And he is staring right at Buck who is staring down at him. Sure, those moments could be explained away because Eddie knew if they both died, who would Christopher have, right? But like Buck says in that hospital scene, Christopher does have other family even if Eddie doesn't want him with his grandparents (and who can blame him? they're major jerks) or if Christopher goes to live with Abuela or Pepa. Or one of Eddie's sisters. The point being, Christopher won't become a ward of the state had Eddie died and then Buck. No, I think the fear we see Eddie having in that moment, and then the heartbroken expression up above is purely about Buck for Buck, not because of the legal guardianship. And I think that's why we see Eddie reaching out his hand slightly, that Buck subconsciously mirrors. That's why the "Are you hurt?" Buck was treating him and standing; Buck was the one who pulled Eddie out of the line of fire and picked him up to get him in the truck. Eddie might have been slightly out of it to not realize these things, but he was obviously lucid enough to see the blood all over Buck and ask the question. He was worried for Buck.
But, going back to my main point, though (about the heartbroken expression and expendable), Eddie has been slowly building Buck up emotionally, tiny piece by tiny piece, from his role/vantage point in Buck's life. We saw it in the Buck Begins episode. We saw it in the Red episode, with the pool table scene. Where funnily enough, Maddie is also trying to reassure Buck that he won't be the one left behind, that she'll make sure of it. Eddie always teases him and ribs him just like guys do, brothers and best friends even, but he is always there as emotional support, too. And Buck is doing the same for Eddie, in the way that Eddie needs, when it comes to Christopher, and even when it doesn't. He not only introduced Eddie to Carla, he talks to Bobby beforehand when Christopher needs to come to the station, he sets up the Christmas dinner with Athena so the firefighters' families can spend Christmas with them, he gives Eddie another option when it comes to the skateboard so Eddie doesn't have to tell his son "sorry, you can never do that", etc. And it's because he mentions Ana in front of the firefam that Bobby ends up having the conversation with Eddie that he does, about moving on.
Basically, it just kills me how complementary they are to one another and how strong their emotional foundation is, and how the show is really going out of their way to show us the strength of that connection. Just how much they support one another and give each other what they need, which the same can't really be said for their love interests on the show. Somehow, those ladies are always falling short, in some way. After Eddie's revelation and the Carla bomb and now Taylor in the mix, I can't imagine how incredible Season 5 will be. I am here for it.

23:30
Hey, it's me. We talked before. Now I am back to tell you more stories like I promised. My clock reads 11:30. I'm in bed, drinking my third mug of coffee. I am reading your favorite novel. It's silly but I feel nostalgic as I read it. Every chapter reminds me of you, my darling Ana. Your rawness, your beautiful flaws are all engraved in the words stained in each and every page. But before I totally lose myself in it, I feel it appropriate to ask first, how are you doing tonight?
How are you doing there, in your time? Are you in bed reading too? Or are you in your desk writing the first line of your poem? It's something about him, isn't it? Oh don't worry, I know.
I know that you think about love more often than you should. And you stain your notes with things associated with it. I want to tell you it's okay. It's okay to savor the moment. It's okay to fall in love. I don't know what age you are now. Maybe 16? All sweet and innocent. You know I fell in love for the first time when I was 16. Got my heart badly broken six months after I turned 18. It was a lot to go through but I survived. After that I stopped writing for a while.
They say heartbreak makes a poet. Well it made me numb. I never loved again after I got my heart broken for the first time. I watched my shattered pieces, millions of screaming pieces bleeding on the floor. I spent years trying to mend me. But wholeness seemed evanescent. Lovers came and went, I taught myself to pretend. For years I rolled thousands of I love you's on my tongue while I felt so empty. So empty I wondered if anything could ever fill me up again. For something in me has died that day he ruined my faith in love and destiny.
But he's a lovely memory. I never regretted loving him. He taught me how to sway in gaiety and laugh with the daffodils. He has to leave all right, and life was never the same. I began drinking when I was 19. I theorized liquor could drown my feelings, wash them all away. Since then I couldn't stop drinking. I took shots after shots as the crowd applaused me until I pass out cold. I was young and broken and stupid. Above all, I was numb.
At 23, I became totally cynical. I took love for granted. Love took me for granted in return. I played fire like a fire dancer. I got burned but never minded the scars. I slept with lions but never feared death. Those moments, I was gladly signing my death sentence. At 25 I was totally addicted to loneliness. I began dining alone. I began doubting promises. I began driving people to the wall. I began breaking hearts.
Are you still there?  I hope I am not scaring you with my stories. If I disturbed your poem writing, I'm deeply sorry. I just want to feed you tales. Tales you will search in your mind as precedents, before you make a decision sooner or later. Before you catch fire and burn. Before you catch cold and die. You know they always say, look before you leap. Well I say, listen to all these tales I keep. They waited years to be told.
I was 27 when I realized it's time. It's time to  lower my guards down. It's time to trust love again. But that one person worthy of everything that I am never came until I was 28. And you know, when I caught a glimpse of him for the first time, I fell dazed. The familiarity was striking. The smile, the voice, the scent, oh it's him. He's the one I've been waiting. I looked at him and the world around me stopped. Everything else stopped. All of a sudden, it's just him and me. Even the cacophony fell silent to hear my heart drum erratically. It was surreal.
We've been going out for months now and it always feels like the first time. It's crazy but I am head over heels in love with him. And you know what's even crazier, I actually got drank one Saturday to tell him what I feel. Oh, don't laugh at me. It's a clumsy move I know. But I was too nervous like a teenager. Too nervous I can't even act cool when he's around.
Anyway, I hope you're happy my darling Ana. But if you're somewhere trapped between the devil and the deep blue sea, don't fret. Whatever it is that you're facing in your time, trust me there'll be better days. Tears are temporary. You will feel whole and loved again. If you're currently tearing yourself apart, don't revel too much in the pangs of brokenness. But if you have to, remember it isn't the end. Love will find you, slowly, eventually...
Sorry I took a little of your time to tell you things you will later discover. You can go back to your poem writing now. Write about him, your love at the moment. Pour all your emotions, ink your diary with words that describe him. You will read them one day as I do now. And you will smile. But I would like you to know, your masterpieces will come years later. When you're 29 and start to write passionately about the man I told you about tonight.
Wait for him. He will come.
All my love,
Your older self
Plot twist: I MARRIED HIM. 💗

Expunged Part II
Drifter hefted his coat up over his shoulders as he fired up his ship from The Derelict where he transmatted Guardians in for his Gambit. It was tattered and scratched from the last time he wore it. On that cold, desolate hellhole planet with the shadows that snuffed out his crew's light. As for the rest of them well... only one came back to tell the tale. He activated the communications. "How you doin down there Moondust?"
"I've told you numerous times to refrain from using that nickname of yours Germaine." She said back through the crackled radio. The icy moon had a blisteringly cold atmosphere and an almost perpetual cycle of snowstorms.
"Any idea where this friend of ours might be hidin?" He asked and the ship jettisoned from its hangar toward Europa.
"We don't even know who sent the signal let alone what it is. They simply said that they mean to show us something." Eris says stumbling over a pile of snow laden with orange streaks encased in the ice.
"Okay well meet me in this clearing. Storm's too heavy where you are for me to land." He clicked on autopilot and sat back in his chair maneuvering his jade coin around in his hand then setting it ablaze. The ship sat down eventually and Eris walked up to it having crossed the field of ice and snow. She removed her shawl from around her mouth and watched as Drifter got out and stepped onto the moon. He was not two steps on that they heard a low hum coming from the north. They looked and saw a sparrow rounding a glaicer in the distance and speeding towards them. The sparrow disintegrated and the stranger jumped off. Drifter put a hand on his revolver. He turned to her.
"So. You must be this stranger we've been hearin about, the one who sent that signal." The stranger nodded and they saw what she was. Metallic.
"You're an Exo." Eris notes out loud. The stranger nods but does not speak. She walks past them and looks off at the distance.
"Good spot to land." Her voice sounds English with the reverb that always comes with Exos. Drifter and Eris look out at the horizon. A pyramid ship wedged into the surface like a chisel. This is what I brought you here to see."
~
Kenneth and Drake flew to Europa immediately after hearing of what they found. Ken got the signal from the Drifter and Drake from Eris, they knew full well the danger of the situation, Europa was not Vanguard approved, still they piled into Ken's ship
"This ship is a dump. What happened to your old one?" Drake asked looking around at the interior. It wasn't as cozy as Ken's usual one. No Golden Age relics.
"You think I'm gonna fly my good one in this far out? And risk never getting it back? Hell no I took the junker." Drake sighed and sat down in the cockpit next to him after swiping off the dust.
"Are you certain that this flying scrap is going to survive Europa?" He asked and looked out the window as they ascended off Earth and jolted into lightspeed. Ken was hesitant.
"Do you want the nice lie or the cold hard truth that you probably shouldn't even pick it's really not worth-"
"Kenneth."
"....maybe." Drake got up from the chair and grumbled to himself.
"I'm going to walk around." He said halfheartedly and exited the cockpit to find another hopefully not-too-disgusting place to sit and think. He found a broom and began to brush off a place for himself to sit and meditate on the last time he had gone out this far. Eve buzzed around him, she could tell something was troubling her Guardian but ever since his encounter with his father she had been quiet. He thought about calling Torra but he didn't want her to worry anymore.
Drake still felt ashamed for the events of that day. It was idiotic to think he could take on his father alone. He didn't want to involve anyone else because he didn't want anyone else to fix what he thought was his mess. It wasn't his mess. It was his father's, but none of that mattered now and not just others, but his own lover got hurt. When he woke up he saw Torra over him, he remembered the tears down her face. She had taken her hood off to try to get through to him, a fruitless attempt. As he contemplated what had happened he heard the door open and Eve quickly returned to her bag.
"We're here." Ken announced. His gear had changed drastically from his Last City garb. His hood was white as snow with a glow from his Solar Light running through it, he had a thermal mask over his face along with a wolf insignia on his chest piece. His arms had armoring around them and his boots were gray with pipes running through them. Probably some sort of heating system, it looked appropriate for the surroundings but jerry rigged together in classic Ken fashion.
"I was wondering when you would change." Drake said standing up from his spot on the floor. "You were gonna freeze to death in...whatever you had on before."
"For your information I got that from The Nine. But yeah no that ain't gonna stand up to the temperature of this place." He said fiddling with his Hunter knife.
"Right. Well then we should get going now." Drake looked around the ship then turned to Ken. "Where exactly is the exit?"
"Right there." Ken pointed with his knife to a small round hatch that looked about the size of a trash can.
"...on second thought, transmat me out Eve."
Eve did so and Drake was dropped into the white powder below as the ship flew off to find a suitable landing zone. He looked around through his hood and got hir bearings before summoning his sparrow and sidearm. The wind howled around him and he had to use thermals and the location point to guide him through the terrain, but eventually he came to where an glaicer collided with another creating a flat field of ice where he saw both the ship and where the signal came from.
Drake took his sparrow up over the cliff and onto the ice meeting up with Ken and speeding off toward the camp that was set up against the glaicer. The storm was not as bad here as the cliff blocked the bad weather so he could make out three figures. Eris was sitting by the fire, Drifter was standing and fiddling with a radio and another hooded Exo that Drake had never seen before was leaned up against the tent. She had a pulse rifle slung across her back.
"'Sup Drift? How's it goin." Ken asked and got off his sparrow. Drifter waved to him not moving from his place by the fire. Drake understood why, whoever this hooded stranger was was an Exo, with no feeling for the blistering cold, Eris was Awoken and Drifter was human.
"Aside from the storms that come up over the ridge every now and then, not too bad." Drifter answered and took a swig of something in his canteen, Eris said otherwise.
"We have much to talk about." She said gravely and the stranger walked forward to greet the Hunter and Warlock.
"Greetings." She said in a metallic voice. Ken recognized it was modeled after a posh British accent and along with her frame she would be eye candy for any interested Guardian. "My name is Elsie Bray and like Eris said, we have a lot to explain."
~
The pyramid ship, Elsie's origin and why they were here already were heavy subjects, but then she told them why they needed them here so urgently. Drake was astonished at all of it. He had studied the records left on Mars' Braytech facility before The Eclipse, Elsie was Ana's sister but not from their timeline. Instead she somehow was able to move through the Vex Network using her weapon as an anchor point. Fascinating. He would have numerous questions for Elsie, but those would have to wait.
"You have an Exo friend yes? He's a Titan." The two thirds of a strike team nodded. "He is here. But... he is lost to something. He's gone on a rampage destroying everything in his path in blind rage." This concerned Ken greatly. Drake couldn't believe it.
"No. No those days are over, Chao reset himself he is a different person now there's no way-" Ken put his hand on his shoulder and pointed to the ebony pyramid looming behind them. Drake lowered his head and stood up. "Where is he now?"
"He is almost here, but I know how we can help him. He's an Exo, we can use my bastard father's laboratory to reset him again and hopefully that will calm him down. Ken shook his head.
"No. Nu uh no way absolutely not, we are not resetting our friend he will lose everything he knows about us. We'll break his corruption just like we did Drake." Elsie nodded but did not look as sure of herself.
"Come with me, he's just up the glaicer. The storm will have moved on by now."
~
The three of them took their sparrows up to where an old communications satellite dish laid in ruin from both the weather and their corrupt Titan friend. Ken pulled up his hood that had blown off from the ride up and took out his handcannon from its holster. Drake readied his sidearm and Elsie followed suit with her weapon while they braced themselves. They could hear the crushing of metal coming from the radio tower and soon it would no longer hold, fallong over onto the outpost with a crash. On top of the building was a Titan in armor that was black as soot and looked like a knight. His armor had changed. He was breathing heavily.
The Titan turned his head and saw the three of them, then he did something that Drake nor Ken had ever seen. His chest exploded and his fist became encased in ice, he ran off the building jumping up and slamming it into the ground. Drake was so baffled at this that he had to be woken up by a shout from Ken.
"Drake get your head in the game man! We gotta take him down!" Ken shot rounds of his Sacramento at Chao but he slammed the ground and more ice shot up and the shots hit it instead. Then the Titan slid into them and they shattered into shards that exploded out and at Ken and Drake. This was not normal ice, it was sharp and tough as a rock crystal and it embedded itself into Ken's leg. He yelped out in pain.
"Agh- Son of a bitch that hurt! Drake! Don't let them hit you!" Drake ran over to Ken and put his healing rift down but it would only do so much and the Titan was not stopping to let the Hunter go through rehab. Chao slid into Drake and landed a punch knocking him off his feet and over Ken as he clutched his chest in pain. Elsie helps Drake up.
"I've called for Drifter and Eris, they'll be here shortly. Kenneth! Can you keep him busy?" Ken dodged out of the way of one of Chao's attacks and pulled out the shard with another scream.
"Yeah I can keep him busy but where the hell are you going?!" Elsie summoned her sparrow once she heard Drifter and Eris coming up the ridge.
"The Drifter and Eris are coming to help! I'm taking Drake somewhere where we can even the odds! We'll be back soon!" With that she and Drake sped off.

And here it is everyone! Part 2 of Chao's story here on Europa. I know this is like 2 seasons late and we're almost to Splicers (which looks really cool btw definitely look out for stuff around this new season) Hunt was the worst season for me and the burnout hit quick, I played enough of Chosen to hear all the voice lines of my favorite blonde mechanic during Battlegrounds and took down Caital's champ in the tank. Long rambling short: It's almost summer and I'm ready to write more stuff as the longest and hardest school year finally starts to wind on down. And as always I hope you enjoy! (Art was done by the Magnificent @scout-fang check out her stuff if you haven't but you probably have already lol)
