PROPAGANDA
IRENE ADLER (BBC SHERLOCK) (CW: Lesbophobia)
1.) Ooh, she's a woman, so she got to be sexy seductive sultry sexy lady! And in love with the male protagonist even though she's gay. She got so nerfed compared to her short story version! She doesn't outwit Holmes like she does in the book, she gets saved by him and she's gotta be in looooove.
2.) awesome woman who outsmarts Sherlock holmes in the books turned into a lesbian dominatrix that mysteriously falls in love with Sherlock and gets outsmarted then rescued by him
3.) I don’t mind the sex worker thing; it’s a reasonable cultural translation decision in my book. But the character’s defining trait in the original story is that she beats Sherlock Holmes, and the BBC Sherlock creators were plainly too in love with their genius to let that pass. And the way she loses? She lets her emotions get the better of her in the end while he’s too rational to show such a womanly human weakness. Barf.
LEIA ORGANA (STAR WARS)
1.) In A New Hope, her main purpose is to be rescued by Han and Luke and then to comfort Luke over Obi-Wan's death even though her entire planet had been destroyed literally the day before. The sequels mostly see her as an extension of Luke. She names her son Ben despite (when the movie was written) having no established relationship with Obi-Wan and calling him "Obi-Wan" the only times she'd ever said his name on screen. Ben was the name Luke knew him by. His last name is Solo even though Alderaan is canonically a matriarchal society and she'd have good reasons to want to pass on her last name as the last living member of her family and one of the few Alderaanian survivors of a genocide. Her lightsaber was also buried with Luke's on Tatooine because that was where Luke grew up and where his family history was, even though the only time she personally was on Tatooine was when she was enslaved there (in a golden bikini), and the canon books made it clear that Leia didn't have or want any connection to Anakin. Rey takes the last name Skywalker when Leia was the one who trained her and whom she had a connection with, and again, Leia's last name was Organa. In TROS, Luke says that Leia stopped training as a Jedi because she had a force vision about her son (not yet even conceived), even though there was already an existing canon reason that made sense for her and had nothing to do with needing to stop training to be a mother.
2.) metal bikini. that’s it. (jk there’s so much more. the way she’s sexualized is just so icky and she just HAS to have a love interest apparently. she’s more competent than most of the other characters but she never really gets her own chance to shine. in the main media her character is never explored outside of her relationships with men)
3.) Leia is more than a piece of meat. In my opinion, she is a badass bitch who needs more screentime and story. I really loved her more over her brother Luke and her lover Hans.

Siblinghood, Platonic Soulmates, or Romance
Analyzing the Relationship Between Ezra Bridger and Sabine Wren
In this post, I will continue from my previous one, having offered a simplified overview but delving into one of the most common criticizing talking points. Please remember that this analysis is from a writing perspective and my own experiences as I am an amateur writer. I welcome comments and reblogs with your thoughts.
For context:
1. Relationships in Star Wars 2. Explanation of These Three Types of Relationships 3. Female Characters in Relationships 4. Ideals and Themes in Star Wars Rebels 5. Ezra and Sabine's Relationship 6. Conclusion
-------------------------------------------
Relationships in Star Wars
Critics sometimes claim that certain types of relationships are overrepresented in Star Wars, but it's essential to remember that the franchise features a variety of relationship dynamics. Here are some well-known examples:
Siblinghood:
- Luke and Leia (twins) - Ahsoka Tano and Anakin Skywalker (no blood) - Garazeb Orrelios and Ezra Bridger (no blood) - The Son and Daughter (literal Force beings) - Sabine and Tristan Wren (blood relatives) - Maul, Savage Opress, and Feral (same planet)
Platonic Soulmates:
- Han and Chewbacca - R2-D2 and C-3PO - Boba Fett & Fennec Shand - Din Djarin & Bo Katan Kryze - Chirrut Imwe & Baze Malbus
Romantic:
- Han Solo & Princess Leia - Anakin Skywalker & Padme Amidala - Obi-Wan Kenobi & Satine Kryze - Kanan Jarrus & Hera Syndulla - Bail & Breha Organa
-------------------------------------------
Each relationship explained and how to write it
Siblinghood
Definition A sibling is a term used to describe a brother or sister, which means they share at least one biological or adoptive parent. Siblings are individuals who are part of the same family and are connected through their familial relationships.
Writing points
Individuality: Portray each sibling as a unique individual with distinct traits.
Birth Order: Consider birth order dynamics and how it affects their roles.
Conflict and Love: Explore both rivalry and support in their relationship.
Shared Memories: Use shared childhood memories to deepen their connection.
Complex Emotions: Show a range of emotions, from love to resentment.
Character Development: Use their relationship to drive character growth.
Realistic Dialogue: Make their interactions and dialogues authentic.
Backstory: Develop a backstory with shared and separate experiences.
Conflict Resolution: Show how they handle conflicts within the relationship.
Evolution: Depict how their relationship changes over time.
External Influences: Consider how outside factors impact their dynamic.
Platonic Soulmates
Definition The term "Platonic soulmates" combines two concepts: "Platonic" and "soulmates."
Platonic: In the context of relationships, "Platonic" refers to a non-romantic or non-sexual connection.
Soulmates: It's a belief that there is a special, deep, and sometimes predestined connection between two people that goes beyond ordinary friendship or partnership.
When you combine these concepts, "Platonic soulmates" refers to two individuals who share an exceptionally close, deep, and meaningful non-romantic or non-sexual bond. They may have a connection that feels almost destined, as if their souls are deeply intertwined, but it doesn't involve romantic or sexual attraction.
Writing points
Unique Bond: Highlight the exceptional and non-romantic connection they share.
Common Values: Emphasize shared values, interests, and life goals that deepen their bond.
Unconditional Support: Show their unwavering support, trust, and emotional safety.
Enduring Relationship: Illustrate how their bond withstands time and challenges.
Conflict Resolution: Explore how they handle disagreements with maturity and empathy.
Growth Inspiration: Demonstrate how they inspire personal growth in each other.
Non-Romantic Nature: Clarify that their connection is platonic, not romantic.
Emotional Depth: Dive into their deep emotional connection and comfort.
Shared Moments: Highlight significant life experiences they've shared.
Respectful Boundaries: Show how they respect each other's boundaries.
External Influences: Consider how external factors affect their connection.
Remember that platonic soulmate relationships are diverse and can manifest in various ways. They provide an opportunity to explore deep emotional connections and the profound impact such connections can have on individuals' lives.
Romantic
Definition In everyday conversation, "romantic" is often used to describe anything related to love, affection, or relationships. It can refer to someone who is inclined towards love and affection or to something that evokes feelings of love and beauty. The exact meaning of "romantic" can vary depending on the context in which it is used.
Romantic Love: Deep emotional affection, attraction, and passion between two individuals, forming the basis for relationships like dating, courtship, and marriage.
Romantic Relationship: A partnership based on romantic love, including dating, committed relationships, or marriage, characterized by emotional closeness and physical affection.
Romantic Gestures: Actions expressing love, affection, and admiration in romantic contexts, such as giving flowers, writing love letters, or planning surprise dates.
Romanticism: A cultural movement originating in the late 18th century, emphasizing emotions, individualism, and the sublime in literature, art, and philosophy, often celebrating nature, imagination, and powerful emotions.
Writing points
Chemistry and Attraction: Establish a strong attraction between the partners.
Character Development: Use the relationship to develop and evolve the characters.
Conflict and Tension: Introduce challenges to make the relationship engaging.
Communication: Show effective communication and miscommunication between partners.
Shared Moments: Highlight meaningful experiences they share.
Individual Lives: Balance their personal lives with the relationship.
Trust and Vulnerability: Explore trust and emotional openness.
Intimacy: Address physical and emotional intimacy.
External Influences: Include the impact of outside factors.
Conflict Resolution: Demonstrate how they handle conflicts.
Long-Term Compatibility: Consider their compatibility for the future.
Realistic Challenges: Create believable obstacles.
Romantic Gestures: Showcase meaningful acts of love.
Character Flaws: Develop imperfections in the characters.
Resolution: Provide a satisfying conclusion to their relationship arc.
-------------------------------------------
Girls in Relationships:
This section explores how certain female characters in Star Wars maintain their own identities while being involved in romantic relationships.
Padmé Amidala
Character: It might be considered a bold choice, but as Dave Filoni is known as the TCW and SWR guru, I genuinely appreciate Padmé's character. She embodies the spirit of self-reliance, often adopting the motto, "I'll handle it myself," when she witnesses suffering. As a compassionate and principled member of the Senate, she values diplomacy over violence, serving as a commendable role model by prioritizing dialogue and care for others. Her character shines brightest in episodes where she grapples with political conflicts.
Romance: Transitioning to the subject of her romantic involvement, Padmé and Anakin's relationship has sparked numerous discussions. Despite the uncertainty and occasional turbulence, there is genuine love between them. She envisions a future with him, refusing to give up on him even in the face of his inner struggles. Padmé recognizes Anakin's mental anguish and does her utmost to support him, though the complexities of their circumstances often double their challenges.
Ahsoka Tano
Character: Ahsoka stands as one of the most well-crafted female characters in Star Wars lore, undergoing significant growth and development throughout The Clone Wars (TCW). She evolves from an overconfident and naive child into a mature, thoughtful, and highly respected adult. Her journey is marked by substantial mistakes and profound realizations.
Romance: While Ahsoka experiences various connections throughout TCW, the most notable is with Lux. However, this romance primarily serves as a vehicle for her character development. Lux provides her with insights into the Separatists' perspective on the war and later the Death Watch. While Ahsoka does express interest in him, it's not in a deeply romantic sense. Instead, she's appreciative of the knowledge and experiences gained from their interactions.
Leia Organa
Character: Leia, our first main character introduction, immediately captivates with her compelling beginning. She's taken captive but never succumbs to fear, displaying strength and resolve. Her resilience shines through as she becomes one of the Rebellion's leaders, commanding respect from all quarters. She remains unyielding in her role, displaying a fiery temperament and quick wit reminiscent of her father, while proving to be even more resolute than her brother, a Jedi.
Romance: The iconic romance between Leia and Han Solo portrays the smuggler and the princess in a refreshing light. Instead of conforming to outdated stereotypes, Leia wears the metaphorical pants in their relationship, with Han providing unwavering support. He respects her position and authority, saving personal matters for their private moments. The dynamic is built on trust and mutual respect, avoiding the cliché of a one-sided romance. Notably, this is evident in Return of the Jedi (ROTJ), where Leia gets shot, and Han's caring demeanor is juxtaposed with his trademark smirk as she reveals her weapon. He's the one to express his love, illustrating the mutual affection and growth of both characters.
Hera
Character: Hera serves as the capable captain of the Ghost and its crew, supported by her right-hand man, Kanan, and the astromech droid, Chopper. Despite being a mother, she remains a crucial figure in the New Republic, leading missions and flight teams. Hera defies convention by maintaining her position of power while nurturing a romantic relationship with Kanan.
Romance: In contrast to traditional depictions where women are often portrayed as pining and emotional while men are serious, Hera and Kanan's dynamic reverses these roles. Kanan actively pursues the relationship, while Hera takes on a more serious and authoritative role. This unconventional approach adds depth to their relationship and challenges traditional gender norms.
-------------------------------------------
The Ideals of Rebels' Story and Its Setup Points:
Both the Star Wars Prequels and the Original Trilogy are anchored in the theme of battling oppressive regimes striving for absolute control. The Prequels delve into how this oppression came to be, forming a pivotal narrative standpoint. In contrast, The Clone Wars (TCW) primarily focuses on world-building, offering in-depth explorations of various factions and societies within the galaxy. While TCW provides a comprehensive view of the galaxy during a civil war, it doesn't follow a single large crew's story.
On the other hand, Star Wars Rebels (SWR) places a character-driven focus at its core. Unlike some other Star Wars media, such as movies, series, or shorts, SWR doesn't extensively explore different locations or delve into background storytelling. Instead, it prioritizes character development and episodic narratives.
To clarify my previous statement, SWR serves as a bridge between Episode 3 and Episode 4 of the Star Wars saga. It fills in the gaps, revealing the journey and sacrifices necessary to achieve freedom. The series commences with Ezra, a newly-minted Jedi Padawan, in a galaxy where Jedi are hunted down. He joins the nascent rebellion, which is just beginning to take shape. Ezra represents a glimmer of hope in a desolate world, even as forces of darkness attempt to extinguish that light.
This underscores the significance of SWR. Episode 4 depicted the Rebellion in its full-fledged form, with a substantial crew and support from multiple fronts. However, SWR sheds light on the challenges and sacrifices that made such achievements possible. It demonstrates that what was accomplished required immense personal sacrifice.
The Jedi aspect is exemplified through Kanan, who embodies the essence of a true Jedi. Ezra, too, matures into this role over time. Kanan's journey is unique; he was in the midst of his Padawan training when Order 66 unfolded. He never completed his training in the traditional sense and couldn't fully embrace the Jedi rules and traditions, which often felt restrictive and suffocating. Unbeknownst to him, his love for, attachment to, and bond with his lover, Padawan, and the rest of the crew went against traditional Jedi norms. However, this deviation allowed him to learn things the Jedi should have known centuries ago. Kanan eventually felt the full embrace of the Force, despite his past mistakes and moments of foolishness. He ultimately met his end as a true Jedi Knight.
As for Sabine, her character's growth and journey revolve around taking responsibility for her past mistakes and evolving into a stronger individual. Her journey includes abandoning the Imperial Academy, which produced weapons harmful to her people. This decision placed her family in jeopardy, with the majority of Mandalorians harboring animosity towards her. Despite these challenges, she emerged stronger with the support of those around her and a willingness to confront her past without forgetting or ignoring it.
The relationship between Ezra and Sabine in SWR was intentionally left ambiguous, making it challenging to definitively categorize. While the series provides hints through Ezra's statements, it remains open to interpretation. The internet, as expected, has embraced the ambiguity and given rise to various interpretations, showcasing the power of fan engagement and ship culture.
-------------------------------------------
Ezra and Sabine, Examined from Every Angle:
This section breaks down how each of these interpretations aligns with the characteristics of these relationship types.
Siblinghood
Individuality: With Siblings, there come different personalities. One can be chaotic and the other calm. That’s what we see in that case what can be considered normal in a family. You have the artistic child with her younger brother being more traditional and following his father.
Birth Order: This being one of the strongest arguments with this relationship. It’s for many great to see nonblood people considering each other as found family, where in situation where one lost their family or their family was not good, there are still others that are as close as those you share blood with.
Conflict and Love: This is more of a thing that can be seen with the training of the dark saber, in which the one sibling, who is good at something, that they consider their specialty, having to have share it with the other, as they see it being taken away or provoking the other as they think they are better at something.
Shared Memories: Both have abandonment issues over their family, and they share a lot of missions together.
Complex Emotions: Once again going back to the dark saber training, you could interpret that scene where Ezra is saying that Sabine at least still has family, while he has only one family left, that she is not respecting
Character Development: This can be interpretation for the end of rebels
Realistic Dialogue: A lot of people regard them bickering as sibling bickering
Backstory: In the start, it is implied that with Zeb, she is one that takes him under her wing as a older sister role
Conflict Resolution: They talk to each other
Evolution: It can be them growing older and seeing each other as equals
External Influences: within the ghost crew, they consider each other as family. Hera especially, so its easy to take this as it can be seen that every member implies it for themselves.
Platonic Soulmates
Unique Bond: They are not really romantically nor as siblings introduced in season 3 and 4
Common Values: Both want to free their respective people, destroy the empire and find a place in the galaxy.
Unconditional Support: Within the end, Sabine never states to be romantically involved but she does stay on Lothal, keeps his memorable things in check and waits from him to return.
Enduring Relationship: Both are willing to entrust each other to a lot of things and giving each other the chance to make things happen.
Conflict Resolution: They talk.
Growth Inspiration: Within the season 1 and 2 where Ezra constantly flirts openly to Season 3 and 4 where it is not seen as a romantic way.
Non-Romantic Nature: Barely Romantic gestures of touch in the traditional sense or talking about the feeling to each other, but in a respectable comrade way.
Emotional Depth: Their connection through their past and need to make better of their mistakes while helping each other out of those.
Shared Moments: Their missions
Respectful Boundaries: With Ezra stopping the flirting to concentrate and help Sabine
External Influences: The ghost crew being a close family through common goals and connection gives them a more bigger leeway
Romantic
Chemistry and Attraction: It is clear that Ezra still has an crush on Sabine, with him meeting her for the first time, being enamored with her beauty. Their chemistry is working and expendable. Sabine later is more open for more.
Character Development: From the young kid who has a crush with no real idea to an jedi that keeps it low to fulfill his duty, Ezra evolves within 4 seasons to a more mature way of admiring Sabine while having respect for her. Within the episode where Kanan and Sabine
Conflict and Tension: From the end of rebels, where Ezra sacrifices himself to keep his loved one self but leaving Sabine alone and confused to Sabine not listening to him when he tells her to or when she does not give him a lot of decision power over her.
Communication: Sabine not being able to trust anyone really to her getting the closest to Ezra for even supporting him on way to dangerous missions and Ezra
Shared Moments: From the intimate closeness of holding him by his waist to fly to safety, to him keeping her steady on the loath wolves and both refusing to let the other get hurt.
Individual Lives: When it comes to Krownest, Sabine splits up for a little while, when Ezra takes on other missions. They know when they have to do something alone and they have their own bigger problems in the end.
Trust and Vulnerability: Within the later seasons (3 and 4) Sabine opens up to Ezra about her own Demons and gives her full trust to him. Both can depend each other’s live on the other. But when it comes to
Intimacy: Sabine has no problem holding Ezra closer while Ezra still gets flustered a bit(speaking escape Jetpack scene). But other than that they have no problem being closer.
External Influences: Both Chopper and Zeb have been making fun of Ezra and Kanan is aware to some known extend as he has to be the done calming Ezra down, when Sabine is in a Dangerous situation.
Conflict Resolution: On the battlefield its Sabine being the aggressor and Ezra the shield. With other conflicts, it is that Sabine needs time to herself and Ezra worrying but respecting her needs.
Long-Term Compatibility: Sabine cannot imagine a life without Ezra in it and Ezra has stated that he wants to come home to her (as well as the others).
Realistic Challenges: Sabine knowing that 10 years have gone by since Ezra disappeared and still being ever so loyal to him. Ezra, while knowing Sabines competence, still often not wanting her on solo missions.
Romantic Gestures: The Birthday gift from Sabine. The consistent support of Ezra.
Character Flaws: The way they cannot see other one in pain and taking full front and lying in front of the other.
Resolution: They give each other full trust on the final mission with Sabine on her way towards him.
-------------------------------------------
Endcut:
In summary, this post aims to offer multiple perspectives on the dynamic between Ezra and Sabine, emphasizing that all three interpretations are valid based on the available knowledge.
Please note that this is a complex analysis, and the nature of their relationship remains open to interpretation.

It frustrates me that star wars seems to want to erase padme. She never gets mentioned at all … ever, like that is luke and leias mother!! It feels like they want to squash her importance in the story even though she is the most important person in anakins life yet now it seems the writers want to make ahsoka that person in anakins life
And it's sadder when she does get mentioned she has to be retconned to be a StRoNg FeMaLe ChArAcTeR like by erasing her kindness (that's one of the things Leia says about her mother!) and making her seem more badass and stoic in some way in Queen's Shadow (just like Anakin isn't spared and retconned in TCW to gain the fanbase's approval). I mean yes her work is important and deserves more content but there should be a balance between her work and personal life because both were equally important to Padme (although we see her priotizing her loved ones but her work also affects her significantly in ROTS). So she's less and less of the Padme she originally was and more how the fans want her to be and think she should be. However, characters are flawed and if Padme was a stoic girlboss she would have simply divorced Anakin rather than going after him and believing in him till she died. She wouldn't have married Anakin at all.
I'm not saying she was perfect but neither was Anakin and Obi-Wan. Everyone in the prequels has at least one fatal flaw because it is ultimately a tragedy. Padme is not a caricature of Leia (who is badass in her own way) and neither is Anakin a caricature of Luke. Their personalities and roles are not and shouldn't be interchangeable. But the retconned versions of the characters do feel like they are. Padme is more like Leia and TCW Anakin is a weird mix of Luke and Han. I get that they may seem more likeable to the masses but it should not come at the cost of their originality. Just like we don't have to be likable and perfect all the time in real life to have a purpose, I wish they acknowledged that in media as well than simply going for what sells. Even a trilogy on Padme feels like an apology as it addresses and "fixes" any complaint against her and is more about Sabe and giving her a new love interest rather than expanding and working on her existing character. I mean it does expand on her but it's not always consistent with her personality in the movies and its novelizations. I remember finding Padme in QS to be very unlikable and cold. Which she isn't at all. Her traits that Leia mentions was important even before her character was designed because that's how she impacted the main story and its a part of her legacy because that's how the people she loved remembered her. Making her more stoic makes no sense. Leia on the other hand has a different narrative and would benefit from the traits because it aligns with her goals. For sure, Padme was accomplished as well but the tone while handling her and portrayal of her character should have been consistent. She can't just be the Princess Leia of the prequels. And I may be reading too much into this but the first movie establishes she's not going to be just like her daughter. She isn't born into royalty, rather she's elected. She doesn't marry the older rebellious guy she banters with. Instead, she grows up to marry a younger boy who has a crush on her and who's very kind and sweet to. The same way Anakin is not a naive, sheltered boy living with his family. He is a slave and has a difficult childhood despite growing up on the same planet as his son!
As for Ahsoka, I guess Filoni was too attached to her and she was a blank slate to work with so they can do whatever with her. I talked about my feelings on her multiple times so I won't elaborate but her existence in the skywalker saga makes no sense to me. I would've been cool with her as a spinoff character. But I dislike that she was treated as something special and exempted from everything from the start without earning that privilege in any way. Meanwhile, poor Anakin is treated more strictly when he's just 10 and receives no special treatment despite being the Chosen One. Also, she's shoehorned everywhere in Anakin's story when she played no part in the peak moments of Anakin's life (as shown in the movies).

You’ve heard of the Time Travel Fix-It fic trope, now get ready for the Time Travel Break-It fic trope.
LOL okay so this was a totally random thought that came about from some Star Wars convo I happened across on twitter that reminded me of how intensely I feel Anakin Skywalker has one of THE worst written character arcs of all time. Like IMO his entire characterization isn’t so much CHARACTERIZATION as it is checking off boxes on a list titled ‘how to speedrun a character from cherubic little blorbo to unrepentant mass murderer in as few steps as possible’.....it relies on an extreme contrivance of engineered-to-be-shitty life situations and events where his default reaction in each and every one of them is like, mandated to be the WORST possible choice he can make, lol.
And of course even though I’ve never really been in SW fandom, I’ve seen enough fic to know that like a go-to trope is ‘Anakin dies and goes back in time to fix everything so he doesn’t fall’ (even though half these stories I’m pretty sure still have the Tusken massacre happen which umm what are you even doing, that was not a precursor, that whole thing was Definitely Dark Side, you can’t fix him falling to the Dark Side if you don’t fix that too BUT I DIGRESS) aaaaaanyway, point is this is probably also a big part of why I’ve never gotten that deep into SW fandom b/c I am very much Not The Target Audience for that trope in this particular instance. I’m always gonna be like yeah cool story buuuuuuuut the takeaway is that the main character here is ‘learning to forgive himself’ for causing decades of trauma and tragedy to untold millions of people right? Mmm thank you but no thanks.
ANYWAY THE SEQUEL. The point that is the actual point is all of this led me to thinking hey you know what WOULD kinda be interesting? Focusing on the sheer artificial/forced contrivance of how Anakin’s arc is written in the prequel series.....and subverting the time travel fix-it trope so instead of it being like....Darth Vader travels back to redeem himself and make things better, what ACTUALLY happened is there was an ORIGINAL timeline where Anakin never fell to the Dark Side, and was like, an actual decent person and Jedi Knight/Chosen One who was like no, fuck off you shady bitch to Palpatine and ‘killed’ him.....but then due to Palpatine’s 80 million contingency plans, this somehow led to Palpatine’s spirit finding a way so that HE travels back in time to his younger self.....and like, with HIM being the one armed with foreknowledge, he goes about trying to manipulate Anakin’s life into a specific series of tragedies designed to optimize his flaws and minimize his strengths so that this time he DOES fall.
Aka....the Time Travel Break-It fic trope.
Anywho, this has been a random thought brought to you by the time 1:54 am and the inanity that is my defining trait. You’re welcome.

Random fictional characters and the Moon signs they remind me of
Part 1
Warning: some might be slight stereotypical because it's just for fun
You guys requested a post like this so here it is. Like and share for part II ☺️
*Gifs are not mine
created by: astrobydalia
Aries Moon
Diana Prince/Wonder Woman From: DC cinematic Universe
Tumblr media
I feel like this character embodies Aries Moon at its best expression
She was literally raised among female (Moon) warriors (Aries) to be a warrior, it really doesn't get more Aries Moon than that
She's incredibly defensive and protective of others and every time someone she loves gets hurt/insulted she FUMES
Very independent and a go-getter
A leader, she's constantly encouraging and inspiring others
She constantly acts on impulse based on what SHE believes is right regardless of what other people tell her
She rebels against her mother and other authority figures
Very prideful and outspoken
Deep down very compassionate which is a very overlooked trait of Aries Moon. She goes about this sensitivity in a less emotional way and with more passion and drive
She starts as being very impulsive almost naive but then she tames her own fire and becomes more wise
Other characters that remind me of Aries Moon:
Meilin "Mei" Lee (Turning ted)
Anakin Skywalker (Star Wars)
Sterling Archer (Archer)
Merida (Brave)
.
.
.
Taurus Moon
Pam Beesly From: The Office
Tumblr media
Her tendency to stay in her comfort zone even if it's limiting her life experience is what really reminded me of Taurus Moon
Indeed she constantly seems very concerned with maintaining what she's always known and she doesn't react well to change since she enjoys a quiet and stable life
Very unfazed by the chaotic energy around her workplace, she has a very chill and unassuming energy but she's the one that brings stability and security to the office
Seems to have a very good and harmonious relationship with her mother/family
Very reliable and loyal almost to a fault
Her artistic talent>>>
She’s very grounded and enjoys the present moment
On one episode she was described as rather materialistic and constantly worried about money
She often lets others take the lead and won't impose her opinions/judgements on others which is a very Venusian thing, however she will assert herself when she has to and won't budge on certain things which is a very fixed sign thing
Other characters that remind me of Taurus Moon:
Flora (Winx Club)
Jean Kristein (Attack on titan)
Ron Weasley (Harry Potter)
Marge Simpson (The Simpsons)
.
.
.
Leo Moon
Cameron Tucker From: Modern Family
Tumblr media
If you've seen the show, you need no explanation
Dramatic from the literal first episode, shows confidence all through the show even when he doesn't feel like that sometimes
Very in touch with his diva energy and loves the spotlight
Extremely in touch with his inner child, like his love for clowns? That episode where he wanted to act like a 4 year old for his 40th birthday? It really doesn't get more Leo than that
Enjoys the good life and wants nothing less
Loves drama but not in a toxic way
Very prideful and stubborn, has a very strong character
Unapologetic of his own expression
Easily takes things personally
Has a competitive relationship with his siblings and is a little bit competitive in general when his pride is insulted
Deep down super romantic, loving and enjoys big gestures
Other characters that remind me of Leo Moon:
Stella (Winx Club)
Lady Mary Crawley (Downtown Abbey)
Miley Steward/Hannah Montana (Hannah Montana)
Jasmine (Aladdin)
.
.
.
Virgo Moon
Violet Evergarden From: Violet Evergarden
Tumblr media
When she said "I'll make sure to eliminate those factors from my emotions" I felt that
Very in touch and aware of her emotions and she indulges in them often but she doesn't allow her emotions to control her, that whole thing of having her emotions under control despite being deeply emotional reminded me a lot of Virgo Moon
Very diligent, workaholic, responsable and intelligent
She provides a service to others and does whatever has to be done make happy those who are under her responsibility and goes about said sacrifice in a very practical way
She took the time to learn how to best perform in her profession and ended up doing it perfectly but she doesn’t care about being the best even though she is
Despite being more practical and logical, she can easily understand and relate to others emotionally using her own experience or what she has learnt (earth/mercury).
Her family are her coworkers and she’s always had a professional relationship with her care-takers
She is the one who gives a reality check to others to the point of coming across as a party popper or pessimistic which is a very Virgo Moon thing
Other characters that remind me of Virgo Moon:
Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow (MCU)
Levi Ackerman (Attack on titan)
Temperance Brenan (Bones)
Katniss Everdeen (The hunger games)
.
.
.
Scorpio Moon
Christian Gray From: Fifty Shades of Gray franchise
Tumblr media
I know this is not the most positive representation, but this was legit the first character that popped into my head with this placement
This character is what people think Capricorn Moons are but in reality he is a textbook Scorpio Moon
His biological mom was a sex worker and he was sexually abused by a woman for years which resulted in his toxic attitude towards women and holds resentment towards his mother
Instantly prone to revenge, very emotionally reactive
Stalker. I don’t need to say more.
Very controlling, manipulative and possessive
Intense and sexual personality
He has attachment and abandonment issues which is very common in Scorpio moons since they often have experiences with betrayal
He is very reluctant towards emotional vulnerability and emotional expression even if he obviously is very intense
He interprets disobedience or someone disagreeing as betrayal which is very characteristic of unhealthy Scorpio Moons
Other characters that remind me of Scorpio moon:

Pisces Moon
Marc Spector/Steven Grant From: Moon knight
Tumblr media
Homeboy literally created a different personality to dissociate himself from his whole reality and scape his trauma... Pisces Moon was the only right answer for this character
Pisces is a “twin” sign (represented by two fish) just like Gemini so the duality aspect of the character makes sense here too
He has issues dealing with the emotional harshness of his reality which leads to escapism
The character deals with many Pisces themes: mental health, issues with self-identity, sleep issues, mental hospitals, the after-life, he sacrifices his life for a higher power (a God), constantly going back and forth between different realities questioning what’s real, etc
His mother made him responsible for her emotional pain which can also be Pisces moon thing 😕 (Pisces rules guilt/shame and moon rules the mother)
He’s a loner which is very Pisces moon thing too (Pisces rules isolation). Marc felt very alone which is why he created Steven while Steven is a bit of an outcast and a nerd
Both Marc and Steven are very compassionate and sensitive in their own way. To me Marc represents that more emotionally detached version of Pisces Moon while Steven represents that more infantilized and emotional version of Pisces Moon
Marc is not emotionally expressive to his wife but he keeps sacrificing himself just to protect her from the ‘curse’ he’s going through even if that means ending the marriage (emotional sacrifice)
Steven on the other hand is more naive and conventionally sensitive, he gets easily overwhelmed by what’s going on around him and he’s intuitively aware of other’s feelings
Other characters that remind me of Pisces Moon:
Peter Parker/Spider-Man (MCU)
Musa (Fate: The Winx saga)
L (Death Note)
Luke Skywalker (Star Wars)

That’s it for now, pt II coming soon🤗

Notes: This is one I'm actually pretty excited about, but I do have a few things to point out just so any inaccuracies are purely my own lack of expertise over ignorance.
I'm cis, nonreligious, and white. This has typically prevented me from writing or portraying any characters in any other category for fear of misrepresenting. However, when I picture a humanized version of both Barriss and Ahsoka, I cannot see women in my demographic. I'm putting in the work to try to be as accurate and learn as much as possible, however, if I mess anything up, please correct me, the last thing I'd like to do is butcher a representation and do them any less than the full justice they deserve.
I do not know much about any religion truthfully, so I'm learning with each piece I write, and I don't doubt that I will need to revise the more I learn.
I am also completely oblivious to the college experience, so if this works a little too much in the movies or cliche television, that's why. (personally, fingers crossed that one day I'll be able to get a degree, but with the way things have been working, it won't be doable for a while, so I'm just living my college dreams through these two).
Summary: Barriss was half excited and half full of dread as Luminara pulled up to the drop off at last. The dorm building was tall, the Tribunal building would be her home for the next few years, “I’m scared,” She found herself whispering against the window. Her hands were squeezing Luminara’s, and her mother lovingly squeezed back in a heartbeat pattern. “Fear can be a good thing, Barriss,” The wisened woman started, voice soft, even with all the noise of unruly undergrads outside. “Do it because you’re scared, and when you graduate, you’ll feel better about taking that step, the next ones won’t be as scary,” She pulled Barriss's hand until she could offer a gentle tug, leaning across the center console until Barriss’s head fell into her shoulder. “And, even if this doesn’t work out, I’m still proud of you for everything you’ve done to get here,”
Barriss used to believe things would be easier once she graduated high school. Maybe the pressure would stop, after all, she wouldn’t have to pile on her graduation requirements to her early college assignments, she could actually devote her focus on her pre-med track, where she’d earned enough credits during high school. If she could just stack as many classes into each available slot over the course of the year, including holidays and summer vacation, she could be heading for her Masters and her PhD in no time! At least, those were the hopes and dreams.
Her mother had never expressed any kind of expectation on her, not once, but Barriss had always felt… strange. Luminara Unduli was a healer, and so was her mother before her. Like with her own father, Luminara hadn’t known her own, and while the absence never felt large in her life, her mother’s attempts at pulling her away from her work to bond were a greater stressor. Realistically, the young woman knew that her mother hadn’t wanted to pass on the workaholic trait, but she’d been exposed ever since she was little, and if her mom was so perfect and put together, she could be to, if only she could rush through these classes and get a jump on this ‘stable adult life’ she’d been dreaming about since she was young.
Of course, the world worked in mysterious ways. Barriss Offee was moving halfway across the world to the states, where she would, apparently, be rooming with another undergrad in a mechanical engineering track, with minor lessons in law and politics. It seemed a rather… interesting tuition, but then, from the letters the two had exchanged over the summer since the College of Geonosis connected them, this Ahsoka Tano was an interesting character. The girl had apparently graduated high school early, and was going to be attending the same school as her older brother she only lovingly referred to as ‘skyguy’, who was a senior in the mechanical engineering program.
Ahsoka’s letters often rambled on and on, about her summer, and her excitement for the year, or to meet Barriss, or to tell her about ‘skyguy’ and his wife, or her apparently many brothers, she promised Barriss if she’s seen even one of them anywhere in the galaxy, she would know, apparently, for as many as she’d remembered to list off in the letters, they all looked quite similar. Those letters were the longest, and while exhausting to read, she hadn’t wanted to seem impolite.
Her own letters to Ahsoka were typically short, commenting on something she’d picked from pages of rambling to show she’d been paying attention, and filling in her own information whenever asked. Every time her mother retrieved the mail and dropped one of those orange envelopes at her desk, she would smile in a way that confused Barriss, would make her cheeks heat until she would sink further into her chair, pulling an end of her hijab just free enough that she could hide her burning face from her mothers’ knowing gaze.
This was a posture Barriss took for the majority of the trip away from Coruscant, and along the fifteen hour drive to the Geonosian capital, where her new university, new life, and new roommate would be waiting for her. The traffic to get into the school was jam packed, and Barriss considered herself lucky that the school had allowed her to get her assignments, keys, and badges delivered to her home prior to the semester’s start, one of her final tastes of the perks of having a parent much more extroverted than herself.
Luminara’s hand came to rest on her knee, and with a slow, measured breath, both of Barriss’s moved to cover her mother’s hand with her own. Anxiety thrummed in her veins, as they watched the line of cars into the dorms inch forward, and students taking ages to bid their farewells. “I’ve arranged some work, for the first couple of days,” Luminara started slowly, once Barriss’s fidgeting was directly to playing with her fingers, smoothing over the neat black polish on each fingernail, or the brass metal bracelets that adorned her mothers wrists.
The young woman was unable to hide her relief at this knowledge. If it became too much, she wouldn’t be inconveniencing her too much to ask to come home. This was her first trip more than two hours from home, after all, and she was more than a little scared, something her mother had always been keen at keeping an eye out for, and coming up with a solution that wouldn’t further damage her nerves. “Thank you,” She breathed, barely audible from the thumping of a nearby bass. Four young men pulled up in the car beside them, the driver… with a tattoo on his face? Was identical to every other passenger in the car, in a way that made her look twice, but no. The others did not share the goatee and forehead tattoo as the driver banged his head to a song she would never be able to make out.
She hadn’t realized she’d been squeezing her mother’s hand until Luminara had to reach across her seat, to brush her fingertips over the back of Barriss’s knuckles, to remind her that if she started squeezing any harder it would begin to hurt. Her cheeks burned as she released her hold on Luminara’s hand, but the woman did not move her hand away, simply rested her now free hand back on the steering wheel and inched just a bit closer in line. “You’re going to do perfect here, and you won’t be alone, you’ll have Ahsoka, and I’m sure Professor Vos wouldn’t mind checking in every now and then,” She promised, and Barriss felt some of the tension in her shoulders relax.
“I will do my best to utilize the resources offered,” Barriss promised, missing the frown that tugged on Luminara’s lips as her head turned back to the driveway. Enough cars were starting to clear now, that she was able to make a substantial jump in line.
“The temporary office is only ten minutes away, but I’ll only be here for a week, Master Tholme has requested that I return to the home office to work on one of our newer developed strands and vaccines,” She spoke about her work freely and often with Barriss, part of why she’d fallen in love with the pre-med track in the first place. Her mother’s passion for her career helped Barriss fall in love with the world in a way she didn’t think possible, and while she had many obstacles to overcome, she had to stay positive that she would succeed thanks to her hard work and the resources available.
She was half excited and half full of dread as Luminara pulled up to the drop off at last. The dorm building was tall, the Tribunal building would be her home for the next few years, “I’m scared,” She found herself whispering against the window. Her hands were squeezing Luminara’s once more, but this time, she squeezed back in a heartbeat pattern.
“Fear can be a good thing, Barriss,” Her mother started, voice soft, even with all the noise of unruly undergrads outside. “Do it because you’re scared, and when you graduate, you’ll feel better about taking that step, the next ones won’t be as scary,” She pulled the younger woman's hand until she could give a gentle tug, leaning across the center console until Barriss’s head fell into her shoulder. “And, even if this doesn’t work out, I’m still proud of you for everything you’ve done to get here,”
She inhaled slowly, eyes sliding shut as she cherished her last moment of peace. “I’ll take these ones with you,” Luminara promised, before unbuckling and sliding out of her seat. In just a few long strides, Barriss’s door was opened, and her mother’s hand reached to help her out. Another slow, controlled breath, before she grabbed her hand and rose out of the car.
The sounds hit her like a wall of bricks, but the young woman swallowed, squeezing her mothers' hand once more before she moved to gather her two bags from the back seat. It wasn’t much, but she’d practiced packing light. The heaviest things were most likely the books she’d brought, though if it had been up to her, the entire Unduli home's library would be packed into that car, so the dozen or so thick tomes she stashed was a lesson in self-control.
Luminara took one of the bags before Barriss could sling it over her shoulder, and then nodded her way towards the building. “I’ll follow you,” She promised, offering a reassuring smile. The lobby was crowded full of students collecting keys, complaining to the resident assistants, and students saying lengthy and teary eyed goodbyes. She’d studied every map, and had planned for every single scenario that could alter her course to her new home. It was a big step, but Barriss led the way through the winding mazes odd bodies, up until she came to room 332.
There was music playing through a speaker inside the room, Barriss paused at the sight of two figures that occupied the side closest to the heavy wooden door. And older man, long hair, sharp jawline, blue eyes enunciated with a scar that cut across his right eye. His arms were crossed against his chest as he seemed to be caught in an argument with his companion. The woman was young, younger than Barriss even, with dark skin offset by clean stripes of near white skin, she had wanted to guess tattoos, though it seemed highly improbable, most likely an intricate case of vitiligo that cast diamonds and sweeping lines across her face. White and Blue dyed dreads sat piled on top of her head, and her eyebrows furrowed as he spoke.
“If you didn’t interrupt me, every time I tried-“
“I wasn’t interrupting, I was trying to help you,” Which, Barriss believed, threw off whatever intention he was attempting to convey, considering he’d interrupted the younger woman.
The woman’s hands went up in the air as she shook her head. “Which I’d appreciate, if you didn’t interrupt me to do it! I just think maybe you don’t trust that I can handle this on my own,”
“It’s not about trust, it’s about making sure everything’s right,” He pushed himself off the desk then, and a gentle hand on Barriss shoulder had her stepping into the fray, her brows furrowing as she listened to them go back and forth.
“Oh! So you don’t trust me to do it right!” The woman accused, her finger poking into his bicep, which he batted out of the way with an exasperated sigh. “I knew it!’
His posture relaxed, seemingly defeated. “Snips, I never said-“
Her arms crossed defensively over her own chest, now, mirroring his habit of interruption. “No, no. It’s okay, I understand. I’m the freshman, you’re the aide,”The woman turned away from him, going back to angrily folding a sweatshirt that must have been tossed on the made ben when they started their spat.
Their conversation dropped to whispers neither woman could make out, but as Barriss stepped forward, to make their presence known,’snips’ started back up. “If you don’t trust me, why don’t you just send me back,” She snarked, the shirt tossed once again down onto the bed as she spun to face him once more.
“Don’t tempt me, Snips,” He warned, when his hand pulled into a fist, Barriss took note of the rigidness of his hand, it wasn’t hard to see the mechanics of a prosthetic through the black glove he’d placed over it.
“If you’re both finished…?” Luminara started, growing weary of standing in the entryway. Boredom outwore politeness and she stepped past her daughter, into the room, to set the small duffel bag onto the foot of the unclaimed bed. “Well, Barriss, aren’t you going to introduce yourself?” She guided, once she’d finally entered and shut the door behind her.
She caught the man bumping the younger woman’s shoulder, until she’d turned to acknowledge the newcomers. Barriss stepped forward then, cheeks darkening as she dipped her head and curtseyed. “Kinesiology major, Barriss Offer, at your service,” She greeted, her lips quirking immediately at the way the woman she assumed to be her roommate beamed at her.
Ahsoka and the man shared a look, and she shook her head at him. The younger woman’s hand reached towards Barriss. “Glad to meet you, I’m Ahsoka, and this,” She jerked her thumb over her shoulder, to the man at the desk, who’d rolled his eyes. “Is my brother, Anakin,”
When Barriss took Ahsoka’s hand, both woman offered near hesitant smiles simultaneously, and Barriss caught the way her mother’s lips quirked as she stepped closer to Anakin, and the way the two bowed their heads together and seemed to be passing on a quiet conversation. “Your majoring in mechanical engineering, correct?”
Ahsoka nodded, her hand squeezing Barriss before dropping her hand to turn and grab a notebook. “Yeah of course! I know you mentioned your pre med track, and I have a brother who did medical engineering too, he wouldn’t shut up about it when I asked,” Ahsoka grabbed a messy notebook from a spilled open duffel bag, messy notes scrawled across designs all across the sheets of paper, almost impossible to decipher as she peered over them.
“She’s been up Kix’s rear getting him to teach her everything he knew pre-med, since she learned her track,” Barriss heard Anakin mention to her mother. She paused, hand reaching to grab the corner of the notebook. Ahsoka had obviously put a great deal of time into learning about the stranger’s interests, so the least Barriss could do was pay attention.
“these are…” The woman blinked, her lips pulling into a smile. “Most of these designs aren’t used until more than halfway through the course, and you’ve already figured out their uses,” She was truly stunned, there were instruction diagrams and equipment notes for pieces she’d only ever hoped to use in the practice one day.
“I watched a lot of Grey’s anatomy,” The woman informed with a big grin and a nod of her head. The notebook was shut and sat back on the already cluttered desk. “It’s actually really interesting, the subject, not the show,” And then a half nervous laugh, Barriss turned her face, her hand raising to her lips to cover the smile that pulled at her own.
It was Luminara who finally stepped in, her hand on Barriss’s shoulder. “Perhaps you two would like to join us for a quick lunch, then? I’m sure Barriss would love to hear all about what you’ve learned,” Barriss’s cheeks darkened, but she did not her head and focus her gaze on Ahsoka, who was looking at her older brother for permission.
“Hey, snips, you’re the adult here,” He defended, his hands raised in surrender and a smirk pulling at his lips. The young woman stuck her tongue out at him cruelly, before nodding her head up at both Barriss and Luminara.
“I think that’d be great!” Ahsoka’s enthusiasm was starting to rub off on Barriss, who’d set her bags down with the intent of unpacking later. They’d been in the car for quite some time now, and she’d be lying to say she wasn’t starved.
Together, the four of them exited the dorm, Barriss and Luminara piling into their car once more, overheated with the summer, while Anakin and Ashoka dispersed into the student parking lot.
With the air conditioning cranked, and their car rolling down the road, the sight of a black helmet and a white and blue helmet further up along the busy roadways was enough for Luminara to speak. “How do you feel about your arrangements?” She prompted, eyes flickering from the road for only a moment.
“I… I do truly believe it will be an enlightening experience,” The young woman frowned in thought. “Ahsoka took an interest in what I told her, and learned more about it, it is quite an admirable feat,” A pregnant pause, as their car pulled to a stoplight. “Do you know her brother, Anakin?” Because really, the way she’d caught the two conversing was not entirely unusual for her mother, but she’d never taken politeness to a friendly level before.
“Do you remember Professor Kenobi? From the Criminal Justice department?”
“You two attended university together, correct?”
“We had, on Coruscant. Anakin and Ahsoka were his charges since they were young. When you mentioned that the university had put you with Ahsoka, I assumed it as a good thing, I’m glad to see that so far, it seems I was correct,”
Barriss cheeks heated, so she reached to turn the air conditioners vent to point at her face. “She is quite thoughtful, and this does ease some of my fears about being put with someone I would not grow to like… I hope the rest of the year turns out to be as fruitful.”
Poggle’s diner was surprisingly slow as they pulled into the parking lot, their sedan pulling into the empty spot between two sport bikes, one black and blue, with the other in a variety of orange, white, and blue. Barriss took immediate notice that the white designs on the helmet and gas tank vaguely resembled her new roommates vitiligo.
“The mosque is nearby as well, I wish to visit with you this afternoon, and help you get acquainted,” Luminara mentioned as the two women exited the vehicle, the car beeping to acknowledge its locked status.
“That would be lovely, I had a difficult time printing the directions at the library before we left,” Because, if there was one person who still used Mapquest, it was Barriss Offee, with an excuse of simplicity, and being able to draw her route along the map to help her stay oriented.
The inside of the dinner was a little dirty, just as spare as the outside, making it easy to see the two young adults, who kept sliding the paper to their straws back on and shooting them at each other. When Ahsoka’s paper projectile hit the floor, Anakin had shot up and declared her the loser, a sheepish smile on his face as the two women approached. “You made it! Hope traffic wasn’t too bad, I refuse to drive a car anywhere in the city this time of year,” He explained as he crumpled up the paper into a ball, dropping it next to Ashoka’s, before reaching into her hair to retrieve his own white paper that had been lost to white dye.
“He is a menace,” Ahsoka deadpanned, taking a sip from the water in front of her. The woman’s legs were tucked up onto the booth with her, childish, but… Barriss couldn’t help but find it endearing, as she slid herself to the inside of the booth across from her new friend. “Anakin said you were an early grad too, right?”
“Oh, yes, actually. I took my classes during holiday, and received credit from the local community college to aid in my enrollment here,” Barriss explained, her hands folding together on the table in front of her. “You graduated early as well?”
“Yeah! Well, kind of! Turns out, with my last placement, I was taking more classes than I needed to, and getting the credits I needed, so when Obi-Wan took me in, everything fell into place, but I did kind of gap it so I could work in Skyguy’s shop. The customer service is trash, but he can get anything working again,” She pointed out, grinning widely at the nudge of her brothers’ elbow into her ribs.
“That is interesting, and I have to say I am quite intrigued on your perspectives, more so education wise, I have not met anyone outside of my desired study who has taken the time to learn about it,”
Ahsoka’s cheeks darkened, and her shoulders shrugged. The waiter came and went, the two girls left alone in their little world. They continued to pass knowledge and stories back to each other, with Luminara or Anakin only chiming in so often to point out an embarrassing discrepancy in the story. Their meals came and went, and by the time they were all getting ready to depart once more, it would have been impossible to believe that the pair had only met that day.
“It was lovely to meet both of you, Anakin, Ahsoka. I will be in town for the next few days for some work, if either of you needs anything, and please, do pass on my well wishes to Professor Kenobi.” Luminara dismissed, her hand on Barriss shoulder as she nodded to the two young adults. “I am going to cool down the car,” And then her mother was walking away, but Ahsoka was stepping up, her hand extended.
“Guess I’ll see you tonight then, roomie?” She questioned with a smile pulling at the corners of her lips. Barriss took her hand, much more confident than she had been upon their first meeting.
“Of course, I look forward to it. It was nice to meet you as well, Anakin,” The man in question raised two fingers to the corner of a split eyebrow in a friendly mock of a salute, before Barriss took her leave back to the cooling vehicle.
“They certainly are different, but.. not in a bad way,” She confided to Luminara as she sat in the passenger seat and secured her safety belt. “I think I will like it here, to an extent,” She didn’t want to promise that she would love the place, but she was now more willing to give it a chance than she’d been before.
“It makes me glad to hear this, Barriss. I’m proud of the steps you’ve taken today,” Her mothers hand did not leave her own the entire short trip to the Mosque, filling with folks all across the city
Even prayer felt more comfortable than it had in the Core. There were less people, she felt like she could breathe, and as the session came to a close, many stayed to converse, to check in. It was certainly more a community than the closed off life she’d come to know.
Barriss would not get to meet the imam, but she did get her name settled so they would know to expect her, if not every day, than at least four times a week. Prayer at home never came as easy to her, especially not as enlightening as it had been that day, and she quite looked forward to seeing if she would fit in to their community.
The return to the dorm was quieter than their first trip, and Barriss had to take a moment to prepare herself for her first true night away from her mother. “I will miss you,” She spoke into Luminara’s sweater as her face buried in her shoulder.
“I’ll only be a phone call away, little one,” The woman promised, her thumb brushing across Barriss’s cheek with her own sorrow painted on her features. “And I will be nearby as well, as you settle. You need only call,”
In the end Luminara did not walk up with Barriss, had guided her to make the hardest steps herself, and she had. The dorm room was dark, and mostly quiet when she entered. Ahsoka was sprawled haphazardly on her bed, with her phone settled by her head and quietly playing music too low for the older woman to make out.
Her belongings were unpacked quietly and carefully. Computer and books organized on the desk, clothes settled into the provided dresser. Her dead phone removed from her bag and plugged in, settled on the corner of the desk as well. When everything was just as she wanted it, and she could complete Maghrib, it was clear two very separate people occupied the space, with her neat organization, and color coded notebooks, and Ahsoka’s mess of books and notebooks opened and sprawled out with diagrams already across the desk.
It was mildly endearing, though Barriss had to wonder if it would ever come to grind on her. She had to hope it would not, as she quite enjoyed her current arrangement. She had many thoughts about the woman occupying the other space, as she retreated once more to the space provided for her fifth and final vesper of the night. She wasn’t necessarily distracted, but she did find herself pondering questions she’d never had before.
Sleep came that night with a new fear, one she had never entertained before, because no one else had ever held such meaning to her life, especially not in such a short time. The fear that perhaps Ahsoka did not like her at all? As sleep found her, Barriss promised, either to the sleeping Ahsoka, or to the ceiling, she was not certain, that she would wish to learn about the types of different engineering as well.

Note
Hello again! Hope you're having a good day)
Writing/characterization anon reporting for duty again.
Maybe you could elaborate on how you see Anakin, as well. It would be a great honor and a big help to hear your take.
I mean, I've read metas that spoke about the more human aspects of his character, the trauma and vulnerability, the search for justice and the fear of loss that drives his turn to the dark side.
Also, some interesting points can be made about his connection to the Force and role as the Chosen One from the perspective of how touching divinity and yet being mortal messes with human beings on a fundamental level.
But then there's also the whole business of him being a capable commander and General?
Basically, I'm scared of writing Ani as too cringefail, or veering too much into "no flaws all hero" territory.
Also, the Obi-Wan and Anakin comic confuses me greatly. I mean, the kid chooses to stay. He clearly sees something in being part of the Order at that point. I wonder what moment made him change his mind...
Thank you so so much for taking time to read this and for answering my other ask!
Good luck and have a good one, pal.
I have been thinking about this all day, and I’m not sure I’m going to come up with a great answer. I’m definitely not the expert on all things Anakin and writing him is still something I’m figuring out. But I’m willing to let you know my thoughts, for what they’re worth! (Keep in mind I also have spent a long series writing Anakin as a good dad, and granted I did my best with how that *could* have come to be in entirely different circumstances, we all know Anakin Skywalker was not good parenting material.)
I think I can get away with a lot writing Anakin in modern aus, when it’s able/necessary to disregard his sheer overwhelming power, and Palpatine’s literal evil influence. When we take those away, it’s a less complex, overwhelming character to work with. Then I can focus on conveying his main personality trait: intense.
I recently wrote this from the perspective of (slightly manipulative) serial killer Obi-Wan in a letter to not yet murder Anakin that I feel like sums it up:
You love as you do all things: fully, completely, and without reservation. Your pain cuts deep because your passion burned intensely. You deserve a lover that will delight in every part of you, Ani. You need someone who will love you just as intensely and as fully as you give yourself to them.
Whatever Anakin does is intense. His anger is rage, his love is passionate and possessive. He cares too much, his worries are all consuming.
In modern aus I generally pick one side of that to play out or else it’s *too* intense for most settings. Usually anxiety. But also impulsiveness/moved by passion. Possessive. Eager to please.
In universe though? The sky is the limit, especially as it plays out with his connection in the Force. I also think it’s really interesting to play around with what parts of Anakin are revealed to whom (who sees uncomfortable hints of darkness, who sees the need for control, who sees that a lot of his arrogant or reckless actions are because he has the sense of responsibility that he *has* to be the one to solve the problem or win the battles or else people die)
I don’t know if this helps at all. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Writing Tips: The Chosen One
The Chosen One is one of the most popular fantasy tropes. It represents a wish-fulfillment of the reader.
Types of Chosen Ones
Prophecy Chosen: Characters like Anakin Skywalker and Harry Potter are thrust into their roles due to vague prophecies. They learn about their destiny at the same time as the audience, often struggling with self-doubt and pressure.
Literally Chosen: Heroes like Po and Midoriya are selected by someone or something to receive special powers. Sometimes, the chooser can be fallible, leading to conflicts and even villainous characters who were once chosen.
Chosen Wielder: Think of King Arthur, Green Lantern, or Thor. They are chosen to wield a special item or power that only they can use properly. This often comes with the responsibility of being a successor to a previous wielder.
Chosen Incarnation: Characters like the Avatar or Vishnu embody a cosmic power and are born when a cosmic duty needs fulfillment. They face high expectations set by their previous incarnations.
One True King: Simba or Aragon. Historical and inconsistent, these characters are often meant to be rightful heirs or divinely empowered rulers. They usually come from a long line of potential kings.
Complex Story Elements
Two or More Chosen Ones: When there are multiple chosen ones, it can create a dynamic where heroes and villains clash, each believing they are the true chosen one.
Taking Down a Chosen One Villain: Sometimes, prophecies can come true in unexpected ways, leading to interesting plot developments, such as a villain becoming a Chosen One.
Self-Doubt Plot: Characters may grapple with impostor syndrome or struggle under the weight of their destiny. Sometimes, they might not be the chosen one after all, leading to themes of trust and self-discovery.
Rejection and Acceptance of Chosen One Status: Characters like Moana may initially reject their destiny but eventually embrace it, adding depth to their character development.
Disruption of Normal Life: As seen in Harry Potter and Troll Hunter, being the chosen one can disrupt a character's normal life, leading to tension and growth.
Balancing Supporting Characters
To give supporting characters their own tension and prevent them from feeling overshadowed:
Provide each supporting character with their own dramatic storyline that runs parallel to the chosen one's journey.
Create conflicts within the supporting cast that do not solely revolve around their chosen-ness.
Consider scenarios with multiple chosen ones, but be cautious not to dilute the story's tension and unpredictability.
Distinguishing the Chosen One
Avoid making your Chosen One feel like a one-dimensional character defined solely by their destiny.
Character Arcs: Make them resist their destiny, and emphasize the impact of their choices. Give the Chosen One personal challenges and arcs unrelated to their destiny, such as defending loved ones or facing moments of cowardice.
Personality: Establish the Chosen One as a person first, and Chosen One second, so readers know who they are as individuals.
Reactions to Chosen-ness: Show how the Chosen One reacts to their destiny in a way consistent with their character traits. Maybe they are unwilling to sacrifice themself or their friends to achieve their destiny. Or is willing to make all manner of sacrifices to achieve it.
Struggles: Let the Chosen One face challenges unrelated to their prophecy to humanize them and showcase their growth. Let them struggle to master their powers. Present moral dilemmas that challenge the character's philosophy and values.
Conflict Arising from Chosen-ness: Be mindful of the types of conflicts the Chosen One faces due to their chosen status, including ignoring the prophecy, dealing with ostracization, managing dynamics with the supporting cast, and meeting the responsibilities of a Chosen One.

Kleo + Anakin Skywalker / Darth Vader - Storyteller Tarot Reading
Hello and welcome to my another experiment trying to find out what’s actually possible with tarot and oracle cards.
This time I have asked myself, what if I became a part of my favourite story and could actually meet my favourite fictional characters? What role would I play in the story? How would the original story change if I were a part of it? What kind of relationship would I have with my favourite fictional character? And how would our story end?
This type of tarot reading is similar to the hypothetical scenario of I, Villain tarot readings I did recently, only it simply portrays a full story and interactions with already existing fictional characters. Obviously I wouldn’t be able to be my true self in the story, I would have to be a fictional character, too, to be able to interact with other fictional characters, so this reading might only include some of my real life traits and some of my qualities have to completely change for the sake of the story.
You would probably think, I will go for Mr. Darcy first, but nope! My Mr. Darcy was Anakin Skywalker / Darth Vader from the Star Wars universe and so I’m here today to show you how my test round went when I asked my cards what it would look like if I were a part of Anakin’s / Vader’s story.
Let me know what you think! Let me know whether you want to become my next test subject!
P.S. Yes, I know I have a mile long to-do request list but you have to understand that my mind never stops and never rests and if I don’t let at least some ideas out, my head will explode. But don’t worry. I work on the requests, too.
Tumblr media
P.P.S. Yes, I'm aware I can't do edits. Shut up! 😂
Kleo + Anakin Skywalker / Darth Vader

What would be our story about?
Cards: Alchemist (Archetype Cards), Knight of Swords, Page of Pentacles, Ace of Cups (Dark Wood Tarot), 4 of Swords, Knight of Pentacles, 5 of Wands (Edgar Allan Poe Tarot)
It looks like our story wouldn’t lack some drama. It’s possible that I would clash with Anakin or Darth Vader on intellectual or wit bases. We might struggle to find a common ground, him being the ego driven and fast thinking and acting villain using all his knowledge to assert his dominance and gain more and more power. While I would be the curious one trying to dig through all the smoke and steel and find the real man, probably made of smoky grey steel, underneath. It’s very likely for me to find myself imprisoned and in danger at one point. Anakin / Vader could really consider having me executed in the story, thus those swords hanging over the motionless body. As we would be more or less rivals, but more on the personal level than professional one, arguing and fighting, he might be tempted to just remove me from the picture. On the other hand, the ace of cups suggests I would have something highly desired by him, a holy grail he wants and obsesses about. I can’t really be sure what this ultimate treasure could be - it could be something tangible as a real treasure or something more philosophical as a redemption for his soul through an actual bond with someone. It’s obvious I can see more than he can see, I can read the circumstances with a certain wisdom he’s lacking and might get into trouble due to his short sightedness.
Tumblr media
What relationship would we have?
Cards: Prince (Archetype Cards), 7 of Swords, XVI The Tower, 5 of Swords (Erotic Fantasy Tarot), 10 of Cups (The Slavic Legends Tarot), Mother / Queen of Pentacles, III The Empress (The Wild Unknown Tarot)
Lol! Prince card right from the bet! Anyway! It looks like he would try to hide his romantic feelings slowly building up through the quarrels. You see the prince figure is hiding the flowers behind their back denoting a secret romance, something that’s suppressed. Because this is supposed to describe the relationship from my perspective, it’s possible I’m unaware of his feelings for a long time in the story (especially when he wants to kill me) and I’m trying to get upper hand over him, sneak away, battle him and gain some freedom (the ankle shackles are broken on the 7 of Swords). There’s obviously a breaking point, a plot twist, probably when I think he died and I lost him forever when I realise the true feelings which are far from animosity. The Empress card shows a white tree suddenly blossoming red in the middle of the night, something beautiful emerging from darkness and growing into abundance. Both the Empress and Queen of Pentacles cards suggest connection with nature and healing. It’s possible that the plot twist includes me bringing Anakin / Vader back from death, healing him with my power and ultimately falling in mutual love as depicted in the 10 of Cups (which also show a lot of nature).
Tumblr media
What would be the ending of our story?
Cards: Pioneer (Archetype Cards), 7 of Wands, 4 of Shields / Pentacles, 10 of Shields / Pentacles (The Runic Tarot), X The Wheel of Fortune, Page of Swords, 4 of Wands (Tarot of Tales)
Seriously, what are the chances of getting cards which show the higher ground (7 of Wands), flames (4 of Shields) and lava similar to the scene from Star Wars III when Anakin is defeated by Obi-Wan and reduced to like a half of a man, in a tarot reading that’s connected to him? Lol! Okay! Let’s rewrite the Star Wars III ending in this reading. In this story Anakin has me by his side which turns the wheel of fortune to his favour. Obviously. I’m basically a living lucky charm. Anakin’s and mine story ends with us defeating any opposition by working towards goals together, riding the lucky wave and avoiding lava by stepping on the stones and progressing quickly. As the Page of Swords show, together we are more than just a sum of our traits, we are bigger together. Together we can face the thunderstorm and instead of being hit by lightning, utilise its power for our benefit. The end of the story seems to be an open one, though. Actually an opening for more adventures to come.

For a more in-depth "why Palpatine is very much a good Web Avatar" propaganda, here's a copy-paste of what I wrote in my submission for him:
He's an absolutely terrible person, which is always a good first step for saying why someone would be a good Avatar. Like, the dude has zero redeeming features, unless you count "he brings the fandom together because everyone loves to hate him".
He's incredibly manipulative, and SUCCESSFUL in his manipulations. The entire Star Wars prequel trilogy shows him going from the senator of some random planet, to the high chancellor of the Republic, to the emperor of his new empire. He starts a galaxy-wide war and plays both sides of it, putting his apprentice in charge of the nominal enemy, so that people will keep giving him more power "because it's needed for the war effort". (He then throws away said apprentice once no longer needed.) He takes advantage of both the good intentions and the selfishness of other people, to further his own gains, twisting them until the end results are unrecognizable from the starting goal.
He puts the Jedi in a position where all their options are bad; either a) they nope out of the war and be branded as traitors, and avoid any chance they had to make things better, or b) they take part in something they're unsuited for and that goes against their morals, and leads to high casualties for them, and also paints them as warmongers. Whichever option they picked, it would have led to their genocide, he made sure of that.
This is completely discounting his endeavours with Anakin Skywalker, aka Darth Vader. Palpatine takes this nine-year-old former slave -- "I'm a person and my name is Anakin" -- and turns him into a man who kneels before him, calls him Master, does his bidding, and accepts a change of name. I'm not going to go into the details of the process, there's three whole movies and also an animated series that talk about it. But to summarize, Palpatine presents himself as the only person Anakin can trust, and encourages Anakin's worst traits.
I haven't even mentioned yet that Palpatine is a goddamn sith lord; because it's barely relevant to his character. Basically he's a kind of evil wizard that first the Jedi thought were extinct, and then they were looking all over for, never knowing it was right in plain sight. It's genuinely unclear whether Palpatine ever used mind-control magic (I know, Force stuff), or if it was all just good old-fashioned manipulation, which I think is incredibly fitting for a Web avatar. But there's also multiple references to the Dark Side being "addictive", and he encourages Anakin towards it.

Do you have headcanons for how any clones got their names? Of so spill
Hi Anon, I do!
However, my headcanon is really basic and boring and I'm so sorry if you thought I'd have this cool hc where they went on a grand journey to find a name that fit them, because it's really not.
My HC is basically based from the comics and the show.
Tumblr media
So, according to the comics, the first clone to officially recieve a name (besides Boba I guess) is Alpha-17.
He was very creatively named "Alpha" by Anakin Skywalker, both as a way to make him seem more like a person and less like a thing, but also because it was a lot easier to yell for just Alpha instead of a whole number
Alpha didn't care for getting a name, because he was not like other clones✨ However when Alpha went back to Kamino to train the next squad of ARC Troopers, Anakin made him promise to give every clone a name instead of a number.
According to the clone wars show, some clones got their names based on their personality and special traits. Such as Fives since his number was all Fives, Echo because he repeated everything, Droidbait because he just straight up ran into the enemy lines, ect.
Because of that, my HC for how clones get their names is like, clones with odd names gets them based on their personality or special traits. Examples: Tech, Wrecker, Flanker, Jester, Lucky, Niner, Striker, Fives and so on.
However clones with more normal sounding names gets them from Alpha(and later on whatever clone is in charge of the battalion they get assigned to if they don't have a name by then) so they aren't just a number. Examples: Bel, Gus, Cody, Wilco, Gregor, Keeli, Reed and so on.
....
.........
..............That being said, I do like to think there's some clones who does the same thing I sometimes do for OC's: Think of a name or a concept of a name that would be really cool, but not in Galatic Basic, so they look up the name in another language and choose whatever sounds coolest Example: Kairn = Dark in Twi'leki (Also, Clones with animal names are furries, I will not eleborate)
Sorry for the basic answer and sorry it's taken me so long to respond. My life is a mess rn 💖

When I tell you I screamed when I saw this. I don't often like to bring my religiosity into fandom/fanfiction, and when I do, I'm reluctant due to how blasphemous it often will be because of the explicit nature of the conversations...But fuck me man, this...this does things to me. I think Anakin and Archangel Michael have a lot in common, and although I think Obi-Wan would fit better since Archangel Michael never turned bad, so to speak, Anakin fits perfectly because if anyone is familiar with Archangel Michael's personality traits with the few appearances on the Old and New Testaments, they'll know how zealous he tends to be and how ready he is for battle. He is the defender, the soldier of God, and the leader the heavenly armies.
Please, it's basically Jedi General Anakin Skywalker.

just wanted to say i absolutely LOVE SoH :) my question is how do you write flaws for your characters? i find it difficult to write characters with flaws at all, and aren’t just perfect (especially flaws that are related to their strengths, like Trouble’s fierce loyalty -> too hot-tempered)
Hi anon, thanks for your kind words and great question! I suppose I don't really go into character creation specifically with the idea of creating flaws in mind: I tend to come up with a character's core personality traits first, and then I ponder how those personality traits (which are usually positive to neutral) could have potential downsides. Like the first things that I figured out about Riel is that he's "the smart one," incredibly cunning, ambitious, and ruthless--and naturally, those types of people can often be workaholics, demanding, or difficult to impress! Likewise, Blade is stoic, strict, extremely skilled, hard to read and not very talkative, so naturally that leads me to think he wouldn't be very good about communicating his emotions and is likely socially stunted, especially considering his past! And Ayla is ferocious, strong, passionate, strong-minded, and blunt, but that can come off as rude or intimidating to other people as well! Or Red is book-smart, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and intensely curious, but that can sometimes lead to obsessive tunnel-vision and a burning need to know that becomes a double-edged sword in his life!
I also think drawing from real life personalities and relationships around you is a good way to ensure that your characters don't read as perfect! No one in life is, no matter how much they may seem to be (that in itself can often be a flaw, whether it's artificiality or alienating to the people around them); and we all have friends or family members or loved ones that we love dearly while still being well aware of who they are as people, flaws and all. I can be acutely aware that I love my little sister and would die for her while also knowing she does stuff that annoys me or makes me roll my eyes sometimes, or I can have an extremely close relationship with my best friend but know I could never live with him in 1000 years because he's an unrepentant slob or tirelessly energetic (not a real example so no one read into this, lol), and we can apply the same acceptance and understanding towards our own characters! So I would say, maybe examine the people in your life and how you love them (despite knowing they make really disastrous decisions or how sometimes they can say well-meaning but absolutely dense things), and leverage that template onto your characters?
Another thing to keep in mind is that all stories must have conflict and all character arcs must have change, and character growth (or deterioration) typically hinges on some issue of theirs to conquer or fall prey to: a character who's already perfect can't experience any change or growth because there's nowhere for them to evolve further, and that isn't often compelling for readers to witness. Luke Skywalker has to let go of the naive, peevish farm boy longing for fame and adventure to mature into a Jedi capable of understanding and making complex emotional choices: joining the Dark Side offers him everything he craved in the beginning of the story (fame, glory, power, respect), and he has to conquer that part of himself in order to grow into the hero he is at the end. Vice-versa, Anakin falls prey to his all-consuming sense of love and attachment, allowing his passion (once the best part of himself) to be twisted into jealousy, possessiveness, distrust, and ultimately hatred until he becomes Darth Vader. Neither of those plots or conflicts would be driven forward if the characters didn't have flaws as well as virtues, so all stories need flawed characters! Whether it's a past trauma or problem in their history (which influences how they exist in the present) or an internal personality trait within themselves, the best stories revolve around the characters having progression in their lives, not only in their external goals but also in who they are as people. Basically, they've got to start somewhere lower on the ladder for them to have room to climb up!
I hope that's helpful, and thank you for your question!

Obidala next for the SHIP ASKS
Oh ho ho 👀 thank you so much for this paring ask 💖
002 | Send me a ship and I will tell you:
When I started shipping them: You know how everyone makes that joke about "why would Padmé choose Anakin when Obi-Wan is right there!?" but they don't actually mean it in a shipping way they only do it to rag on Anakin's character? Well I took the question in good faith instead, followed it to it's logical conclusion and what I found was hot as fuck.
My thoughts: It's hot. It's so hot. Obi-Wan Kenobi is a slut and you know he'd eat pussy so good and Padmé deserves that 😌
The only way I could see them working in a canon setting is post-Mustafar where Padmé survives. They're on the run, raising the twins and that is the peace between them. There's resentment on either end for their parts in Anakin's fall (how could you not see it, why didn't you stop it, how could you be so selfish to cling to him) and also their own acknowledgement that they didn't want to see what was in front of them the whole time. But there's also this draw, this lingering obsession, with the person Anakin Skywalker loved most in this world. Because Anakin didn't leave the Jedi because of Obi-Wan, and Anakin wasn't fully committed to the Jedi because of Padmé Amidala. So they fuck, desperately, hard, rough, seeking out a glimmer of that which Anakin loved as a way to still hold onto him. It's a twisted sort of comfort, but it's all they have asides from the twins.
And it's the twins who soften it, over time, who turn that dark and twisting thing between them into something softer. They can heal from the wounds Anakin left on them when he betrayed them and everything they loved. They were both loyal to democracy, and they'd see that restored. Palpatine took everything except the twins from them, they'd bring hell to his doorstep. Because neither of them are soft people. Padmé is honestly kind of feral and Obi-Wan is three cats in a paper bag.
Oh they'd fight, they'd dig in their claws. They were both the moral pillars of Anakin's life and Obi-Wan can go toe-to-toe with any politician and probably win. He'd tear Padmé Amidala from her ivory tower and build her back up, with greater foundation for her beliefs than her academic study.
I think they'd learn to love each other genuinely but I cannot divorce their love and loyalty to Anakin from their relationship. It can't really be done in a canon setting. Loving a demi-god does that to you.
What makes me happy about them: They'd be good together, eventually. I think both of them have the capacity to be supportive partners (Obi-Wan would probably have to tear down some of Padmé's worse traits, her desire to avoid conflict being one of them).
Also, they're hot. I'd watch their sex tape 👀💦💦💦💦💦
What makes me sad about them: They're both so tragic, betrayed by the person who they loved the most in the galaxy. Obi-Wan was by her side when she died and she pleaded with him, insisting there was still good in him.
Things done in fanfic that annoys me: I'm not a fan of dom!Padmé and sub!Obi-Wan. I don't see their dynamic in that sense. I don't see Obi-Wan as a sub at all really. I think in the game of doms, Obi-Wan takes the throne between the two of them (and honestly, I like sub!Padmé in this instance)
Things I look for in fanfic: Honestly, anything. There's not a lot of just them that isn't already Obianidala. Which is fine! But even in that context, you rarely see them two of them together. It's usually Anakin getting his cake and eating it too and we rarely see the two of them interact.
My wishlist: Just more content of the two of them really. We rarely see them interact.
Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Anakin 😂 But I also like Padmé x Satine and Padmé x Sabé. As for Obi-Wan... ah, let him be the hoe he's always been 😂
My happily ever after for them: Raising the twins and acknowledging their love for Anakin Skywalker and absolving each other of their guilt surrounding his fall. And having great hot sex.

I’m sorry to tell you this but the Kenobi writer said in his interview they wrote little Leia to have parallels to Padme and Anakin, while showing how Bail and Breha also formed who she became. Fans aren’t just pulling these parallels to Anidala out of thin air. The Kenobi writers are writing them because this is a fictional world where both Luke and Leia were written to have parallels to their biological parents. Yes, in the real world, you don’t inherit personality traits solely from genetics but Star Wars has always done this with the skywalkers.
Mmmmmmmkay. I'll tell you what my professors tell me when I try to justify something with "but my intention actually was that..." It doesn't matter. If it's not in the text it's just an excuse. I don't care what the writers tried to do I care about what is actually there. What is there is that Leia interacts maybe twice in her entire life with her biological father and both times are horrendously traumatic where he teaches her nothing except "avoid this man at all cost." She is raised literally from when she's born by Bail and Breha and there is a moment where they make clear that 1) they taught her to be respectful to droids 2) Bail connects with her through shared interest in ships. The fact that Obi-Wan sees Padmé and Anakin in her has nothing to do with Leia, it's just his own projection and longing. Of course there is intentional parallels because the prequels were written retroactively. Luke and Leia are not like Padmé and Anakin, Anakin and Padmé are like Luke and Leia. And Luke and Leia are how they are because of Bail, Breha, Owen and Beru. And yeah of course people can have fun all they want drawing parallels but attributing Leia's personality to her genetics is... weird. Like people don't grasp the concept of adoption. Somehow your family doesn't count because you're already programed by your genetics or something. Very strange 🤨

template from here (I modified it); Character: Achilles
Demographics
Name: Akhilleus Peleides AKA Achilles (Latin ver.)
Age: 16-33 (left for Troy/Ilium at the age of 23*)
Sex/Gender: AMAB/genderfluid
Sexuality: bisexual polyamorous
Ethnicity: (mostly for the modern verse) Greek
Occupation: student, prince/king of Phthia, later warrior
Socioeconomic status: upper-class
Education: taught by the centaur Chiron & Phoenix
Physical Appearance
Eye color: hazel (w/green and blue mixed in)
Skin color: fair (w/a decent tan)
Hair color: auburn (brown w/red undertones)
Height: 5′11″ (based on mythical emphasis not Mycenaean data)
History
Place of birth: Pharsalus, Phthia, Aeolia (modern Thessaly)
Key family members: Peleus (father); Thetis (mother)
Relationships
Patroklos (aka Patroclus): they grew up together fairly young (Patroclus was older) and fell in love. Friends to lovers, pretty simple. Possibly soulmates.
Antílokhos (aka Antilochus): friend of Achilles, who was later avenged by him after he was killed during the Trojan War by King Memnon of Ethiopia.
Briseis (ex-princess of Lyrnessus): he killed her family during the raid of her city. She was given to him as a slave, but they eventually befriended one another and fell in love during the course of the Trojan War.
Deidamia (princess of Skyros): she slept with Achilles while he was living with her and her sisters (on the orders of his mother, Thetis). She became the mother of his son, Neoptolemus.
Phoenix: Achilles’s first tutor who taught him academics & later warfare.
Chiron: Achilles’s second tutor who taught him healing & hunting.
Parizitis (aka Paris): he shot one of Apollo’s arrows into Achilles’s ankle.
Apollon (aka Apollo): being allied with the Trojans, he made it possible for Paris to kill Achilles. It’s possible that this was to avenge Apollo’s son Troilus, who Achilles killed in a temple that was dedicated to the sun god.
Psychological Traits
Many view him as prideful, but I believe that he simply lacks the insecurities that others believe to be important to a normal sense of self. In other words, he doesn’t care much about what the army thinks of him, because they are not his family/loved ones. He’d rather have a tight circle of close friends than the approval of all the Achaeans. He also views all soldiers as equal, so when Agamemnon insults him by angering Apollo through Chryses and then by stealing away Briseis, Achilles is understandably angry. It’s also important to note how fucking dedicated he is to those closest to him (chiefly, Briseis and Patroclus). Briseis is proven to have a true romantic connection with him (at least, by the end of The Iliad), while he has loved Patroclus since he was young. I don’t think I need to explain how dedicated he is to Patroclus.
His “Blessing”
Achilles is not untouchable or superhumanly durable, as some believe. However, he has inherited some of his mother’s speed and his father’s affinity for fighting. In other words, Achilles possesses peak human speed, which assists him in dodging and reacting to his opponent’s attacks. Paris’s arrow kills him (instantly) because it’s tipped with Apollo’s fast-acting poison, fired while Achilles was otherwise occupied, and it hit Achilles in an area that would have pained any person to a great extent.
Extra Notes
My depiction of Achilles is exclusively based on the Classical period texts of The Iliad and The Odyssey, ignoring many of the canon divergence endings/additions written by those other than the writer known as “Homer” (especially those written by Euripides and the later Romans). I see Achilles as a clear parallel to Anakin Skywalker (a classic Byronic hero). Of course, I have my own headcanons that are a part of my interpretation of Achilles, since the person we see in The Iliad is (for most of it) someone going through the angry and depressive states of grief--in other words, we do not get to observe Achilles in his normal socioemotional state.
Achilles, as opposed to many of his fellow Achaeans, also shows a surprising disregard for the afterlife. He realizes that people die regardless of how much kleos (glory, an Achaean virtue) they attain in life, and it’s almost as if he realizes that his choice to come to Troy was a mistake. However, once Patroclus dies, he seeks to avenge him, motivated by rage. He has no problem desecrating corpses (an act that would have horrified his fellow Achaeans) and shows no remorse later. He only gives King Piyamaradu (aka Priam) his son Hector’s body because he is sympathetic once the man mentions his own father (Peleus).
Some scholars use Helen’s dialogue in Book 24 (saying that she’s been gone from home for 20 years) to calculate the age Achilles was when he left for Troy. Their reasoning (also referencing Pseudo-Apollodorus and Vergil’s works) is that the Achaean fleet initially got lost when sailing east and had to regroup, then try to sail again, meaning it took eight or more years to sail to Troy (not sure if this counts the time it took to attack towns along the way). Though it goes against the marriageable aging of the times, I purposely write Achilles as being an adult when he goes to Troy to avoid writing a bunch of underage violence and sex. On the topic of Troilus, he was simply killed to fulfill the prophecy which stated that Troy would not fall if the prince reached his 21st birthday (aka no sexual harassment/assault here!).
