so, thinking about points of inspiration for the different mechs, it’s not at all unreasonable for quite a lot of them to exist together in a (mostly) mundane historical au that keeps their backstory at least somewhat...

Like I’d say all of them but Carmilla and Aurora* can be traced back to a real Earth time and place, and a lot of those are technically close enough together for many of them to meet within natural human lifetimes. A timeline to demonstrate:

Between 100-1 BCE: Ivy, though the actual ending point of the Library of Alexandria is disputed. Caesar burned it in 48 BCE, but there’s evidence it still existed after that.

0 CE: Brian, if we’re assuming that Brian is space Jesus. Brian and Ivy could reasonably know each other in this case.

between 1300 CE and 1860 CE: Scuzz, though both these ends are fairly unlikely. From my research, it looks like the height of the ninja era in Japan was between 1400 CE-1640 CE.

1400-1500: Possibly Raphaella? She’s a mystery, but based on the advanced science, the angel imagery, and the name, I think there’s the most evidence to put her at some point in the italian renaissance.

circa 1500-1650: Brian, if we’re assuming Brian is a space witch. Most witch hunts occurred within this window. This would put any combination of Brian, Raph, and Scuzz as feasible friends!

1800s: Marius? Like Raph, he’s a mystery, and I am not an expert on historical menswear, but based on the outfit and the baron/doctor thing I think he’s probably at some point in this century.

1837-1901: Toy Soldier’s origin, assuming it’s a victorian automaton. It also does not necessarily have a reasonable death date, as it wasn’t made immortal by Dr. Carmilla.

1865-1895: Jonny

1914-1918: Tim

1918: The historical storming of the winter palace. If Nastya was irl Anastasia, this would put her as being born in 1901

1920s-1940s: Ashes, based on the timeline of the American mafia, which seems to be the point of inspiration. However, that organization was founded in 1861, and it’s theoretically possible for them to come from a time as late as the 1980s, but based on historical mob peaks and costuming, 20s-40s seems most likely.

So depending on exact times (and places where my information or analysis may be incorrect) it’s completely possible to write a historical mechs au set in the 1930s which features Marius and Jonny (possibly also scuzz) as being older, with Tim and Nastya as adults and Ashes as a young adult, and the toy soldier, as usual, present, all within reasonable human lifespans.

*I have a few vague, barely-formed ideas about Aurora, but those are based on like. a handful of words in the forbidden lore. and Carmilla’s post-apocalyptic origin makes it difficult for me to place her in a historical timeline; the future seems far more likely for her. However, if we’re going by the 1872 novel, she could have been born in the 1700s, and if she’s still a vampire could at least meet the majority of the others.

Fashion in Uroboros

A brief overview of the different styles of fashion within the IF's setting! It was going to be much longer than it is now, since I initially explained the reasoning I chose these... but I'll resist!

Note that the fashion is not aiming to be authentic. In fact, I've highlighted some of the different ways I've attempted to make these extremely different styles take influence from one another, and even modified them to make more sense thematically for the story.

The fashion is merely inspired, not necessarily accurate to the fashion they're inspired from. Realism isn't the goal, but I still want them to be somewhat convincing, and also cool-looking! I'll also add more thoughts towards the end on this note.

Southwestern Galaio - Takes inspiration from Rococo fashion, in part because its climate is similar to western Europe (oceanic climate). Extravagant and blindingly opulent, though I envision it as incorporating more naturalistic elements, such as birds and flowers into their design. However, their design also tend to be asymmetrical and large-scaled.

Western Galaio - Takes inspiration from Song Dynasty China, as it also has a humid subtropical climate. A time of prosperity as well, but I chose it over the Tang Dynasty because the designs are more simplistic. I wanted this region to be more muted, but still elegant in fashion compared to other regions. Not as flashy, and much less concerned about extravagant wealth. Though it's in Song style, I enlisted the help of an article to help me incorporate some western elements to it, such as lace and fans.

Central Galaio (Part 1) - Humid continental climate. Closer to the southwest, their fashion reflects much of Rococo style as well, but with some modifications (no train for dresses, etc.). This is in reference to Catherine the Great's time, in which Russia had oriented itself towards European fashion (specifically, the Rococo style), but Catherine the Great dictated the fashion to be more Russian and instill national pride.

Central Galaio (Part 2) - Farther from the southwest and more towards the north, their fashion is much closer to Western Galaio. They still have elements of the southwest, but they have a strong emphasis on functionality and practicality, which the southwest appears to be fundamentally against.

Central Galaio (Part 3) - There's a distinct region that is a cold desert. Here is inspired by Mongolian deel. It's thicker and has several layers to withstand the cold, compared to Western Galaio's clothing, which in contrast have lighter fabrics.

Eastern Galaio - Also a wealthy coastal region of Galaio. Mediterranean climate. They take inspiration from the extravagance of the southwest, but fashion is looser, free, and light. The colors are also more natural, like white, brown, blue, etc. rather than the entire spectrum of colors that the southwest and west enjoy.

Deities - Inspired by Edo period Japan, another period of flourishing economic growth. The fashion of the deities likely came from the fashion of a past time, rather than a reflection of current human fashion. Western and Central Galaio's clothing look similar to the kosode gods wear, perhaps because these regions are more rooted in tradition compared to Southwestern and Eastern Galaio. The major modification I made for the fashion of deities, however, is making it more unisex and more relaxed.

Additional Notes

I had tormented myself a lot over authenticity, but I realized the fashion can remain merely inspired, not directly referenced. I'm not actually trying to make a Walmart version of France or any of these cultures. However, I do hope that the admiration I have for these cultures shine through!

A lot of these come from periods of prosperity, the "golden ages". Galaio is beautiful and prosperous, but it obscures a deep ugliness within.

These may be subject to change, and won't be super prominent in the story itself. They merely gave me a general idea or silhouette of the kind of clothes people may wear. I think the most reference I'll give them within the IF is a general aesthetic of the clothes rather than specific details. Hence why they're merely inspired.

Oshidori Utagassen / GRAND MIRAGE! ~ Flower 2023

Ft. one of my ticket cases :D

If seeing Tsukigumi was like stepping through a portal, seeing Hanagumi was like seeing Takarazuka for the first time. My last live Hanagumi was (checks notes) uhhh... Casanova. And with the exception of a Nice Work stream that I half paid attention to, Casanova is kinda also the last Hanagumi I saw, period. Oshidori had exactly one person in common with the visible cast of Casanova, and it was Rei. So here's my unbelievably fresh eyes take!

OSHIDORI SPOILERS:

No one is evil and no one dies!! 😭 This is a rakugo-inspired comedy based on an old movie that is readily available with English subs on YouTube, and I'd recommend watching it!

Oharu (Hoshikaze Madoka) is the daughter of Shimura Kyousai (Kazumi Shou), a rōnin turned umbrella maker. She is in love with another rōnin, Asai Reisaburou (Yuzuka Rei), who lives next door and teaches sword work to the local children, but he is being pursued by two of the town beauties, Otomi (Hoshizora Misaki) and Fujio (Mihane Ai). To make things even more difficult for Oharu, her father is obsessed with antiques, buying them even though he has little money and even when most of them eventually turn out to be fakes. A mistake puts him deeply in debt to the local lord, Minezawa Tanba-no-kami (Towaki Sea), and he is confronted with having to sell Oharu in order to pay it off. It turns out that Reisaburou, who prefers Oharu to the other two, is in possession of an extremely valuable antique; he was found with it in his basket when he was abandoned as an infant, and this means he's also the long lost oldest son of the Minezawa noble family. Everyone lives happily ever after!

Koyanagi-sensei is really the holy grail of Takarazuka in-house directors right now, in my humble opinion. This was such a good choice of adaptation, and her nihonmono comedy are always so fun and accessible. I was, frankly, jealous watching this; since I'm currently the least familiar with Hanagumi, I coveted it for my faves. But poor Rei has had quite a marred top star run (mostly due to COVID), and I'm glad she got a nearly complete run of such a fun show.

That said, Asai was unfortunately the least exciting character. This is definitely personal preference, but I don't really get fired up by the cool, quiet, aloof, handsome type in a lighthearted show, unless he's also the butt of jokes a la Daimon in Bakumatsu Taiyouden. I find Rei the most appealing in dynamic, dance-heavy performances, and Asai as a character was just too one-note for me.

OHARU, on the other hand...

Madoka will retire from Takarazuka, probably into a prolific stage career (if she wants it), and be remembered for/cast based on her high profile roles like Tess Ocean, Anastasia, and Elisabeth (shinko but still). If I were queen of the world I'd insist she be remembered for Oharu. Sometimes you watch so much Takarazuka you get the performance equivalent of nose blindness, and then out of nowhere, something like a Western guest director will jolt you awake and make you ask yourself, "What's different about this??" Madoka made an atypical acting choice! She did a weird voice! She was funny! She was adorable and charming! She stole the whole show, honestly.

Hitoko, my love. Last time I was in Japan, PRxPrince was in bow hall while On the 20th Century was in Shibuya, and I opted for OTTC, thus missing out on Hitoko entirely during that trip. That makes the last time I saw her live on stage friggin' Gaisenmon. That seems SO IMPROBABLE, but it's true. In that time, we went from MUCH too long-awaited first solo bow lead to ripe and ready for top stardom. Hitoko has a chameleon power that I think is pretty unique in Takarazuka; not only does she disappear into roles (positive), but also I truly think she could thrive in any troupe with little difficulty, and seem like she was there forever. As salty as I still am that she was stolen out from under me, she's the weft to Hanagumi's warp. Tanba-no-Kami was so fun and silly. I love finding out which new and different Hitoko I'm going to get each time, and I hope there are many many more variations to come (can't wait for Gekijou).

Other highlights:

VERY juicy (albeit old man) taidan role for Kazumi Shou. Dad is a big supporting character and she has a lot of stage time.

Shimon's presence is healing

Last time I saw Hanagumi, Mihane Ai was an unnamed ken-2 and Hoshizora Misaki was an unsorted rockette in Ocean's 11. It was funny to see the two apparent contenders for next top musumeyaku competing with the current top musumeyaku for the top star's heart. Since Hoshizora snagged the tour lead it sure seems like she's the front runner, but I have to say I personally preferred Mihane!

GRAND MIRAGE SPOILERS

The curtain went up on those pastel dresses and oversized bonnets and I just giggled to myself. It was Okada-sensei alright! Especially after the fresh delight that was Kaleidoscope, it was disappointing to go back to yet another pandemic-era revue that left me struggling to remember what any of the scenes were. It was classic, and if you're both into that style and a Hanagumi fan I'm sure there were memorable moments. To me it felt like Citrus Breeze if you sucked all the nostalgia out of it.

Mizu was wandering around at the market in the London. She was pretty hungry as she just got to the country known for the British monarchy. After wondering around she found a place to exchange her yen’s to pounds and decided to get a ride to go to a place to eat. She decided to eat at a small cafe, as she went in she ordered some fresh bread and tea. After the food arrived she burnt herself a lil trying to take a small sip of the tea. As she finally ate the last piece of her bread sand decided to continue her hunt to find the 4 white men that went to japan

Mizu decided to go find them but ultimately got lost for 3 hours in the woods…but during the 3 hours she heard a rustling noises coming from one of the bushes. She drew her blade out getting ready to attack but it was just but it was just ringo. “ ringo…why the hell are you here?…didnt i told you to stay in the hut and dont follow me?” “Uhh…sorry I just wanna follow you….” ringo replied awkwardly “whatever just stay away from me.” After that encounter with ringo she finally found her way out and ask around if they have seen the 4 men that went to japan and stayed there illegally.

After no success a man came from out of nowhere and gave Mizu a letter saying she looked exactly like the man in the picture. Mizu at first didn’t believe it before looking the picture and was shocked to find out she does and asked the man where he found it and who the person in the picture was , the man gave her a little envelope with an address written on it. As the man left Mizu gazed on the address wondering if she has found her dad.She decided to go and find a ride to take to the address which later on she found out was a mansion.

After finding a ride and going to the mansion , she gazed at it for a while and finally going to the front door and l knocking on it. A butler appears and asked “hello and good morning, please state your business & reason why you were to see Mr Yogan.” “Uhh…im here to see him to…interview him?”“Hm…I guess you’re the reporter, alright then come in…” the butler assisted Mizu to a living room and serve her a cup of tea which did not burn Mizu this time. She ask the butler if the Mr Yogan is gonna come home anytime soon. “Soon my dear pls be patient” the butler said firmly.

20 minute of waiting later a man who is appear to be in his mid 60’s looking worried walked in the room the butler who was sitting across Mizu this entire time introduce him as the Mr Yogan wich Mizu had so long waited for… the man who politely said hi to Mizu then said “so are we ready to begin to interview?” “Uh..yes Uhm sorry…let’s start?…” Mizu replied nervously”alright hit me with the question!” “Do you recognise this person in the picture?” Taken it aback the man inspect the picture and said…”oh…sorry what is your name?” “Mizu,why?” “Mizu,if your are trying to find this man im sorry but he was my late brother who was a terrible criminal and was executed not long after serving a couple of years in the famous prison of London, The Anastasia Prison… but you can find his grave at the High Gate cemetery it’s just around the block” Mizu who was surprise to found out that one of the 4 men she was searching for had passed away. She later then asked “im sorry but did he ever had a secret child back a japan?” “Oh yes he did! He told me before he was executed,why?” “Heh…nothing but Uhm that is all of the question! I got to go now! Hehe bye?” “Oh Uhm that was fast but alright? Bye.” Mizu quickly left and decided to head to the cemetery.

After entering she quickly searched for anyone who had the last name Yogan as she knows that Mr Yogan was the brother of one of the 4 men she was searching for. Suddenly she saw a grave with the last name being Yopgan and the grave wich appear to have a withered rose right next to and a stone wirtten on it ‘James Yogan, Born at 1578 and Died at 1613, was a beloved brother & a horrible criminal.’ “Yeesh…i didn’t expect to meet you here dad…i hope you ended up in hell after making my whole life themed after it. Goodbye and im glad you died”. She quickly left the cemetery and told ringo to stop hiding in the bushes. Ringo appeared and asked her how did she noticed him “ringo you are way too easy to predict. Now come one let’s go back home”.

the Sakamaki brothers as humans with no memories of their lives as vampires (headcanons)

WARNING: adult content (not necessarily NSFW but you get my drift)

Since I’ve been writing a fanfic wherein the Sakamaki bros + Yui and Maya are trapped in a fake human world without their memories (sounds like Chaos Lineage lol), here are a few headcanons I had in mind for the human AU Sboys.

GENERAL HEADCANONS

All the brothers are still freakin' rich

The richest would be Shuu (as always) 'cause he probs be managing a multicorp or something

These d*mn btches

Unlike the triplets, Shuu and Reiji are not siblings in the fake human world

Subaru believes he's an abandoned child (poor car noise honking)

The triplets are living in one large-ass condo unit (it's like a house in a building)

And no, none of them are allowed to bring girls there (this rule was made by Ayato and Kanato because Laito would reek of girl perfume and they had to spend the night somewhere ‘cause they’re damn noisy)

Fvckin jerks

In short, no sex in the house because it is not a love hotel

Poor Laito

Kanato’s lucky ‘cause this bastard owns a giant studio where he can Netflix and chill whenever he pleases ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

The triplets have their own cars, but the younger two make Ayato their chaperone

Ayato’s fine with it ‘cause he gets to flaunt his bad boy red sports car

The brothers have met each other despite the lost memories, as per Yui

Some of the boys have drinking or smoking habits

Don't worry, these boys are still in their flirting game in this world ofc

SHUU SAKAMAKI

Let’s just say he’s the DiaLovers version of Christian Grey

Young bachelor with demn billion dollars, baby (more like yen ‘cause they’re in Japan)

He owns a chain of malls and hotels (probs even the building where the triplets reside in)

Tbh he didn’t feel any connection when meeting his brothers there

Maybe thought of them as a weird stranger

He’s also famous in the fake human world

One of the most sought-after bachelors in the city

“How do we apply as one of your staff members, sir?”

Constantly receives marriage proposals from rich families

Also rejects them through formal letter

Thousands of women have dreamed to be his Anastasia Steele

Thinks the attention he’s receiving is nothing but trouble

Only hires a male secretary ‘cause his experience with a female one was so bad, he dreaded experiencing the same thing

Let’s just say the girl flirted and he’s not interested in office romance so she plotted against him

Maya is the only exception to the rule because she is a vampire doll

Kanato wanted to throttle him for making his wife work as his secretary

"I'll tell your fans about your wife."

That shut his younger brother up

Is the fourth one to regain his memories

However, he’s the first one to get out of the dream world, possibly to kill Edward Feinze ‘cause he’s Maya’s legal guardian

REIJI SAKAMAKI

This one’s an easy guess. Doctor.

So the next time you want a cure for heartache, just look for him lol

“Doctor, doctor, I’ve got a fever, and the only cure is Reiji-sensei.”

You whore

Is also a university professor in his free time

It might not be obvious, but he creates poisons (≖_≖ )

Not only for rats ofc let’s be real here

He also sells them to the black market

For business purposes (again)

Has published books of his medicinal studies

He's great at teaching, but he's also great at failing his students

One mistake can cause you minus 10 points or something

No one gets a grade of 90 in his subjects

Still sadistic even in a fake dimension

Girls with degrading kink still fall for him tho

Has prob met Shuu once and got irritated for no reason

Has also met Subaru and healed his wounds from a kickboxing match

Even passed by Laito in a bookstore and thought he was gay/bisexual

Also present in a lot of formal events

Probs get his clients there too

Doesn’t have trusted friends

Everything for him is always business

Boring

Appears neat and proper but has evil thoughts running in his head

The fifth one to gain his memories ‘cause Laito forgot where to find him

Is also the first to get out of the dream world to retrieve all their physical bodies and make a poison that will kill Richter and Cordelia once and for all.

AYATO SAKAMAKI

Okay, hear me out.

I first thought of making Ayato own a takoyaki stall

But it just doesn’t suit our poor vampire Troy Bolton

So in the fake human world, he actually owns a night club

He’s basically the main DJ

He dances and raps sometimes

Fvckboi

He sounds a bit friendlier despite his informal, crassy speech tone

But don’t be fooled because he is still your original Oresama y’all

Also flirts a lot

Girls dig him ‘cause he’s easy prey jk

He’s the first one to regain his memories because Yui knows where he is

Would also persuade Maya to turn him into a vampire

Ofc Maya declines ‘cause Kanato would strangle the both of them if he finds out he drank even a tiny drop of her blood

As a business owner, he makes it his business to stop fights or harassments from ensuing because he doesn’t want anyone’s party to be spoiled

Doesn’t care if you do drugs or have sex in his club as long as you don’t stir trouble

More like all customers are forbidden from stirring trouble or they’ll be blacklisted

He and Kanato made up the “no girls” rule in their condo unit, but he tried to break it once because of Yui

"Why did I agree with Kanato to make that rule, anyway?"

Simpleton

Would always try to bring Kanato to his club to gather more customers

“I’m a singer, not some night club endorser, Ayato.”

“C’mon, just one night.”

The answer is always no.

Laito is the only one he bonds with during parties and Kanato had to deal with their drunken state after

He rejects Laito’s offer of threesome with this one girl who likes the both of them

But Laito never gives up because it’s his dream

Is the one who saves Yui’s soul from vanishing in the dream world

KANATO SAKAMAKI

The richest out of the triplets (but doesn’t look the part tbh)

He might get mad at this once he regains his memories, but in the fake human world, he’s a famous online celebrity/singer (not idol, let’s be clear about that)

You know those indie singers you listen to online with artsy aesthetics of goth and pastel? Yeah, that one.

Became famous after releasing a semi-rock ballad single

The song’s all great, probably about candies and sweet romance and longing until you look up the lyrics

It’s full of sex innuendos and metaphors, sometimes even death and murder (fans won’t think so, unless you dig deep)

If you know, you know ( ͡¬ ͜ʖ ͡¬)

Only holds online live concerts, which is a blessing, especially for his introverted fans

Many label companies have reached out to him, but he declined cause he doesn’t want them to take control of his singing

Wears eyeglasses (like in his official art) and a face mask whenever he’s out because fans would always try to know his personal details (address, siblings, love life, etc.)

Can also drive (he’s just lazy; well, there’s Ayato so no point in driving)

None of the brothers have been in his car; only Maya has

If he does drive, it’s because he wants to go somewhere no one knows

Hides the fact that he’s fascinated with gore, graveyards, darkness, death, and all that stuff lest he wanted to be labelled a creep

So when a fan asks him during Q&A what he does in his free time, he tells a different lie each time

“I’m just at home, munching chocolates or sleeping” or “Just writing new songs” or “looking through the gifts I received”

He never reveals true details about himself because he doesn’t want fans to get close

Probs why nobody believes Ayato and Laito when they say the famous online singer Kanato is their brother

Also invests some of his money in large businesses. In fact, he’s one of the stockholders of Shuu’s multicorp.

Is actually the third to regain his memories, but the first one to obtain his vampire powers back (SPOILER: He created a spell that says he’ll get his vampire powers back once Maya drinks from him.)

Is the one to kill Cordelia in the dream world... alive.

LAITO SAKAMAKI

Three words: slut with class

Was actually going to open a host club hideout or something, but the theme’s kind of similar to Ayato’s

He chose to open a restaurant with male and female hosts serving you

There’s even an option for them to eat the meal with you

It’s like a butler x maid cafe but make it luxury

He’s still a perv no matter where you take him

Saves up extra money for love hotels ‘cause of their sacred house rule

Thinks the rule is bullshit, but never dares to break it

Cause he’ll end up on the streets if he did

And the rule was made in the first place because of him

His flamboyant gestures made Reiji confused if he’s gay/bisexual

Almost hired Maya and Yui as one of his staff members until Kanato threatened to cut off his genitals

Never gives up on asking Kanato to sing live in his restaurant

This is also to gather customers, especially females

Also gets rejected by him every single time because Kanato never sings in public

One of his main goals in life is to have a threesome with Ayato and this one girl who likes both of them

Ayato refused because he’s that possessive

Only uses his car as a hotel room or for sexcapades

Kanato comments on how weird and disgusting it is to sit anywhere ‘cause Laito has prob had sex with every women imaginable there

They never use his car after that

This perv never learns

The second one to regain his memories

Is the one to kill Richter (he even did in the anime)

SUBARU SAKAMAKI

This one’s so sad (idk why)

Subaru’s a kickboxing fighter, but in underground matches

Ya know, the illegal ones

Is even hired by the mafia to be one of their part-time hitmen

Basically, our bby car’s life in the human world is full of violence

He’s actually the second person Yui met in the fake human world

He told her not to go to the kickboxing arena again ‘cause the place is full of thugs

Would smoke with Ayato at the back of the nightclub

Is a tough nut when it comes to his job

But a soft cookie when it comes with women

Never deals with a job that involves women or drugs

Today was the final day of competition at the Finlandia Trophy.

Yelim Kim of South Korea won the gold. Rinka Watanabe of Japan came up from third to win the silver. Anastasia Gubanova of Georgia came up from fourth to win the bronze.

We the people of this place wants a better place than this to

live. This place is no place for a living creature. We drink

impure water and then get sick the children's get skin disease

even the grown ups are sick from cold.

We ate from the mess house and it is near the toilet only a few

yard away. We eat the filth that is flying around.

We got no place to take a bath and no place to wash our clothes

or dry them when it rains. We women are always lugging water

up stairs and take turns warming it up and the stove is small.

We live in a room with our children just enough to be turn around

in we used blanks for walls just to live in private.

We need clothes and shoes for our children how are we going to

clothe them with just a few dollars. Men's are working for $20 -

month is nothing to them we used it to see our children eat what

they dont get at mess house and then its gone and then we wait

for another month to come around.

Why they not take us to a better place to live and work for our

selve's and live in a better house. Men and women are very eager

to work. When winter comes it still would be worse with water all

freezed up grub short do we have to see our children suffer.

We all have rights to speak for ourselves.

“Right place right time” Sukuna x Cinderella

Summary: Due to a whim of fate Sukuna gets swept away to 19th century France. While trying to find a way back he meets Cinderella, a poor girl with a hidden talent.

Prologue “Lost in time”

Somewhere in 19th century France poor Cinderella met her prince. They fell in love, and promptly got married. Exactly one year later during their anniversary celebration, one of the wicked sisters noticed them riding horseback between the greenery. Intrigued, she followed them. There, she witnessed wonders beyond her imagination. Tree stumps turning into chairs, a four layer cake appearing from thin air, and when the Prince and Cinderella arrived, their clothes changed into ballroom attire. All of this done by an elderly woman with a silvery-white wand. The stepsister, Anastasia, looked on in bewilderment “So that’s how Cinderella managed to go to the ball.” She hoped that if she only managed to get the wand, she could change her miserable year for the better. So she carefully slid between the bushes, hoping for a chance to “borrow” the old woman's wand. And within a few minutes, just like an answer to a prayer, the wand flew out of the Fairies hand straight ino Anastasia's reach. Not wasting time she grabbed the object and ran back home as fast as she could.

Unfortunately for her, the Fairy was hot on her trail. The old woman grabbed Anastasia before she could even reach her home.

-Give me back my wand, silly little goose. You don’t know what you’re messing with.-she scolded her, grabbing the wand.

-No chance! I just need it for a short bit, don’t be selfish!-Anastasia pulled back with great force.

Soon their dispute turned into a scuffle. Neither of them wanted to let it up. All the while Anastasia tried to use the wand's magic to help herself. She pulled the wand to the sky. Holding the Fairy back with one leg she exclaimed “Bibbity-bobidy-boo!”. And soon after the young woman kicked the Fairy away, giving herself a chance to escape. She was unaware of it. But the girl managed to transport them both to Japan, though that would be hard to notice since she was running through a forest like any other. During her escape Anastasia bumped into a tall dark figure. While on the ground she glanced up at the man she just ran into. He adjusted his white robe glaring at Anastasia. His unpleasant expression paired with the unusual facial markings on his face struck fear into her.

Before any of them could react, the Fairy Godmother had finally caught up to Anastasia. In a second attempt at recovering her wand, she jumped at the girl paying no mind to the pink haired man. They tossed around, when suddenly another spell had been cast. This time they’ve been transported back to the same forest near Anastasia’s home. And with a second wave of the wand the Fairy had been turned into stone. Ecstatic, the girl stuffed the wand into the pocket of her dress. Though the wand was far too long to fit there propelly. She turned to head back to her home, but immediately froze in her tracks. The man in the robe, still standing in front of her. It appears, as if she had taken him with her back in time by mistake.

-What the hell was that?-he questioned in a low tone.

Anastasia jumped in panic. She dove right past the man, leaving him no chance to catch her. Fighting old women was one thing, but facing off a man two heads taller than her was another. She ran with great speed, only stopping once she finally reached the safety of her house. Out of breath she stumbled towards the nearest chair. While resting she noticed that the house looked a little different. It was way cleaner than it was when she left. She also noticed a faint melody being played on the piano in the music room. Following it there was also an out of tune whistling on the flute.

-Weird…Mother had stopped practicing songs with us since Cinderella left. Why would she be doing it now?-she questioned in confusion- Oh, and Drizella! Did she leave all the dish cleaning in the kitchen for me to finish again?

Anastasia got up from her seat to go check the kitchen. To her surprise everything was put away, making the place look spotless. Confused, she turned to walk out when she noticed Cinderella. There she was, scrubbing the floor with an old rag. Anastasia couldn't believe her eyes. “What is she doing here?” It didn’t make sense to her. After all, she should be having a grand time with her husband right now. And then. A minute later the stepsister had connected the dots. “It’s the wand’s doing! I moved myself back in time.” She stepped a little closer to Cinderella. “And if she’s still here. Well that means the ball hasn't happened yet.”

-Hey, Cinderella!- she yelled to get her atencion.

Startled, the blonde girl turned to Anastasia.

-Do you want something?-she gazed at her sister sheepishly.

-Well, yeah. You have a calendar around? Do you even know what day it is?

-Um, it’s tuesday. Why are you asking?-the blue eyed girl hesitantly answered.

-No, no. I mean the year. Oh, whatever I’ll check myself.

She stepped in front of the wall where the calendar was hung. Just as she thought, it was 1879. The year in which the prince’s ball happened.

-Are you alright? You’re acting a little… well odd?- asked Cinderella.

-I’m fine.- she answered while reaching into her pocket.

She thought that if she turned Cinderella into a mop right now, she could make sure that all her future problems wouldn't happen. Unfortunately for Anastasia the wand vanished from her pocket. In fact it wasn't anywhere near her. Frustrated, she stormed out of the room leaving Cinderella clueless as to what happened.

Chapter 1 “Bewitchment”

After Anastasia’s quick escape, the pink haired gentleman was left alone to wander the forest. The man's name was Ryomen Sukuna, the king of curses. Thinking that he was simply transported to a different part of the forest that he was in previously, he wandered around looking for his opponent. However he soon realised that this was not the case. Upon returning to the spot where the Fairy was enchanted he decided to follow the tracks of the girl that previously escaped him. At that time he also realised that he had been sent to the past.

Soon he reached a house. The curse looked around the area trying to spot the culprit that caused his predicament. He could have broken in and killed everyone that wouldn’t give him any answers, but he felt out of sorts today. He did however catch a glimpse of the red haired girl, that he met previously, in the window. Seems she would have gone outside if not for his presence.

Displeased, he lurked around the backyard of the house. His mind, surprisingly dim. Perhaps he was suffering from motion sickness after being thrown back in time? “Would that even be possible?” he thought to himself while approaching the windows. Focusing on the sounds coming from inside he heard:”Darn it! How did I manage to lose the wand?! Oh, and that guy. If he stays outside the house I won’t be able to look for it at all.”

-So to get back I’ll probably need that stick she was holding.No wonder, after all it did look like a special grade tool.-he spoke to himself while observing the girl pace around the corridor.- Wonder why I haven't heard of it sooner.

Sukuna shifted his atencion on looking for the presumably lost wand. Unfortunately however he was unsuccessful in his search. After an hour or two he was approached by Cinderella. She couldn’t allow a stranger to destroy the flowerbeds in front of her house after all.

-Sir! Can’t you see that this is private property?

-What?-Sukuna questioned annoyed.

-You can’t just dig around in my bushes. Please leave.

Deciding that maybe she could help him in this wild goose chase he attempted to convince Cinderella to help him.

-I’m terribly sorry but you see, I lost something.

-And so you’re digging around the bushes in front of my house?-her words filled with skepticism.

-Yes! You know, I was hunting in the area but one of my arows mishot in this direction. I already found the arrowhead, but can’t find the arowshaft. -To increase his believability, he pulled out of his pocket a piece of shiny metal he reshaped with his fingers to resemble a sharp end of an arrow.

-But if you have this, why bother finding the rest? It’s just a stick at this point, no?

-You would be right, but the shaft is made out of silver so I can’t afford to lose it. Please if you were to find it, tell me.-Sukuna pleaded with her- I will be around the area until I find it.

-Well…If it’s so important I can send a few of my friends to help you.-the blonde girl thought out loud while picking up a few mice. Her hand delicately scooping them up from the ground.

-They would gladly help in exchange for some cheese of course.

Amused by the absurdity of the notion the man let out a faint laugh while adjusting his robe.

-Sure. I’ll make it a whole wheel of cheese.

Cinderella's rosy lips shifted into a smile.

-Wonderful, but please. Refrain from looking around so close to the house. My stepmother and sisters wouldn’t be so understanding.

-Allright, allright, I’ll get out of your hair.-he said while already heading back towards the forest.

He stepped just far enough so that her bright blue eyes wouldn’t see him. His gaze fixed onto her. She swirled with grace while she scattered around grain for the chickens. Sukuna waited for her to start speaking with the mice once again. By the way they behaved, he suspected that she was using a cursed technique on the rodents.

-Cinderella, where is that dress I asked you for?!-a voice shreked out of the house.

The blonde beauty hastley ran back in to appease whoever was calling for her. This of course caused the king of curses to move once again closer. This time he made sure to keep himself concealed to avoid future confrontation. “So, Cinderella is it?” He thought while observing her movement from the window. She went in all sorts of directions making her sometimes hard to follow. Small critters like mice and birds helping her all over. If not handing her the needed tools, they were doing the tasks instead of her. Sukuna was a hundred percent sure that she was using jujutsu on them, but seemed to be unaware of it. Sukuna’s red eyes dilated in fascination. “If she were to fully realize her power. Now that would be interesting.” Pleased, he retreated to the forest for real this time. Concluding his search for the wand for now.

okay i can't get it out of my mind - tini dump about kate cinderella girls, and my dreams for both international girls and the producer ( aka developing oc man )

the international / foreign girls in imas: cinderella girls (as far as i'm aware) are Frederica Miyamoto (french-japanese, voiced), Yao Fueifuei (hong kong, unvoiced), Clarice (vague european (personally french or dutch inspo), unvoiced), Anastasia (russian-japanese, voiced), Layla (Dubai / UAE, voiced), Kate (London / England, unvoiced), Helen (vague european / american (personally italian / mexican inspo), unvoiced), Natalia (Rio de Janeiro / Brazil, voiced), Eve Santaclaus (Greenland, voiced), Cathy Graham (american-japanese (born in new york but has lived in japan) unvoiced), and Mary Cochran (San Francisco / America, unvoiced). I don't include Shiki here because, although she studied in American, she's Japanese and isn't from anywhere over there. I also don't include the three Korean-exclusive deresute characters since they're discontinued after that server shut down (but also shoutout to them I love them too). However they are all side characters, just not a part of the project.

Kate is my favorite unvoiced girl, specifically because our names are similar, as well as slight backstory stuff (her love for her parents; "She's an exceedingly friendly and social person, often greeting everyone she passes by. She's also very touchy in comparison to other idols, enjoying giving others hugs or kisses to show her affection." from her wiki page / events, very me coded). So, in my International Girls imas cingirls idea, Kate is the true protagonist, with Natalia being the leader of the group and acts like a dual protagonist. While she's not the first of the international girls to be voiced (that order being Anya > Freddy > Natalia way later > Layla > Eve most recently as of literally Christmas; congrats to her cingirl first place), I wanna give Natalia bunches of love and more spotlight to get fleshed out as a character as well, as well as her and Kate becoming besties. The International Girls story would just be them forming into a unit, learning to appreciate their differences as well as come to feel like a cohesive unit despite them, and ultimately proving themselves as idols on the stage.

The Producer for that idea, in my mind, is Lotus Juice (LotusP, if you will), since he's proven himself in his own field, is from New Jersey and fluent in both english and japanese, and is also in a duo unit with TakeP aka Takeuchi Shunsuke aka the producer for cinderella girls, so it all just make sense in my mind. Story-wise - LotusP gets invited to the job after TakeP offers it to him as a friendly favor, since they both went to college together and / or went up in the ranks together before TakeP started raising idols / doing his cinderella girls "power of smile" project. Inspired by him, and not wanting to look a gifted horse in the mouth, the rougher and older man accepts, with TakeP being his occasional talking partner for advice. LotusP, in my mind, is suddenly named Austin in my mind (don't ask why idk). And he just kinda acts like Lotus Juice (chill older guy who seems kinda gruff, but is really mature), yet also has like a rough tsun thing going as he's not at all good with taking compliment, and gets dragged into scenarios and forced to play the straight man for gags. It's almost like he doesn't want to be a producer, but he needs a job and wants to stay in the music biz, but he ultimately takes his job (taking care of all the girls' and their schedules, as well as personally helping with some of their songs' production) very seriously.

Another thing I wanted to look into for a bit of drama is idol v school life, specifically as Kate is an international study abroad uni student that becomes an idol. In the end, like in her stories, she proves to her dad that she can be an idol and go to school, and at the very end she graduates and becomes an idol full time. Freddy is also in college for design; she can graduate too as a treat. It also makes me want to make Kate/Nat/Freddy triple protags, as it fills out the kind of NewGen-esque protags the original cingirls had, as well as I think they'd make good friends.

(Also, if anyone asks, Layla's backstory of running away from a planned marriage to Japan with the support of her mother but keeping the father in the dark...I literally just learned that TODAY, which was WILD, and yes in my plotline idk if I wanna explore that or just ignore that so! Hmm!!!!)

Also the eleven full group's unit song would be titled "Universal Parade", after the unit in the mobage game (which originally consists of CathyNatKateMaryFreYao), and their outfits would be similar to the unit "Your Friends" (NatKateMary) outfit set in the original mobage as well (without the fluffy bit or with the fluffy bit reincorporated somehow).

Also the actual outfits for NatLayla's unit "Sol Qamar" is very cool.
