Can you see me now? All of me, even the insides? Would you still accept me this way?
I can be pretty too.
MATERIALS
Faber Castell 3B + Goldfaber 3B on Fabriano Schizzi 90 gsm.
This set of illustrations was the direct result of my anatomy classes. This semester we are covering neuro-anatomy and illustrating the content and subject matter is my method of coping. I was in the mood for some grotesque beauty in graphite. It's nice to take a break from the colourful pencils every one in a while and produce something a little atmospherically different.
When I take a break from university, I find solace in sharpening a pencil and talking to the paper. These days, I've been attracted to this style of illustration.
What do you think? Is it haunting, or pretty? Perhaps both?
Happy Friday, folks✨

From Sir Henry’s Wellcome’s Museum collection. Ivory anatomical figure, a pregnant female, with some removable organs, lying on cloth-covered bier inside wooden box, possibly German, possibly 17th century

I'm using Toki Wartooth as an anatomical study. Here are some notes.
His nose doesn't have a very visible nose bridge, but it's larger than skwisgarr's nose.
He has a prominent lacrimal bone and maxilla bone near the nose
The mandible is boxy but his face is long, and the bottom of the body looks like an upside down smile.
Rectangle body but thicker thighs. The joints connecting the ass to the thighs is smaller. Makes his glutes look perkier but They're mainly muscle.
I think he has epicanthic folds, but it's harder to know because no one has eye labias or eyelids or whatever they're called.
His eyes are down turned, so the area behind the eyelids, with the tarsal gland openings would be visible
His alveolar crest is concaved. That, or his bottom lip is more prominent. (I always find it cool when someone has a more prominent bottom lip because I'm the only one in my family with a very large upper lip.)
(Side note, I have a very large overbite and pacifier teeth, but I was never given a pacifier as a baby???)
His eyes are deep set.
His cheekbones are low, but large.
His mouth looks like this :3
His hip bones aren't very there, so his torso looks like a Doritos, despite being an absolute rectangle.
When he gets sunburnt he turns into a deep orange brown. Like, he is so white it goes all the way around and he becomes brown.
His bones show through his body very pronounced. Maybe because countless work during his childhood made his bones grow into MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE. I don't know. I'm not the bone doctor.
His sternum is concaved. Very slight pectus excavatum, but I think his muscle tits cover it up.
This makes me sound insane now that i thinking about it. List over. I enjoy your presence, but leave now.

Visual Relationship
A piece for Symbruary and Venomtime's Day depicting a headcanon I have where most of the symbiote is in a pocket dimension and connected to the world through every bit of the host's body.
The artists have not been revealed at the time that I'm queueing this, hence the "redacted".
