Hot take, apparently, but genuinely harassing or insulting anyone's religion is not ok.
Criticizing religious institutions, proselytizing, extremism, or horrible behaviors/beliefs done in the name of a religion? YES! Totally. That should be criticized.
Unpromptedly popping up on random posts by religious folks to say anything along the lines of "god isn't real", "the pagan gods are fake", "there is only one true religion", "[any religious group] are stupid/dangerous/barbaric" -- NO.
It's rude. It's unnecessary. And sometimes, especially in the case of minorities or oppressed groups, it's outright hateful. Theres nothing helpful, funny, or cool about randomly insulting one of the most personal aspects of a persons life. Unless it's invited or warranted, stfu.

the reason, irrelevant
the colours, bright.
it's a hug for the merryman.
will you freeze or fight?
because the reason's irrelevant,
and the colours are deep,
just a hug for the merryman
to get them to sleep.

Head of Ancient Greek Statue of Dionysus Found in Libya
In a stream, an archaeologist working in the ancient Greek city of Cyrene in todays Libya, found the head of the statue of Bacchus, also known as Dionysus in Greek, the god of wine and theater.
Archaeology in ancient Greek city of Cyrene
While carrying out research in the city of Shahhat near the ancient Greek city of Cyrene in eastern Libya, an archaeologist detected something of interest. Nestled in the foothills of the al-Jabal al-Akhdar region, Issam Al-Menfi spotted a severed part of an ancient statue.
The item is the third to be discovered since Storm Daniel hit the eastern region of Libya last September, according to Libyan News Agency. It was collected by Menfi for scientific purposes.
The agency confirmed that the head of the statue is that of Bacchus, as the Romans called him, or Dionysus, as he was known to the ancient Greeks. The god was symbolic of a number of things, including wine-making, orchards and fruit, vegetation, fertility, festivity, insanity, ritual madness, religious ecstasy, and theater.
Cyrene is believed to have been founded in 631 BC by Greeks from the island of Thera (Santorini), located in the Aegean Sea. The settlers’ first ruler, Battus, founded the dynasty of the Battiads, which ruled the city for eight generations until 440 BC.
The city grew under the rule of the Battiads, eventually encapsulating several ports known today as Marsa Susah, al-Marj, and Benghazi.
With the rise of Ptolemaic Egypt in 323 BC, Cyrene prospered intellectually and became one of the classical world’s most influential places. In due course, with its great philosophers and renowned medical school, the city caught the attention of the Romans, who brought it under their control in 96 BC.
Between the years 67 and 30 BC, Cyrene merged with the then Roman province of Crete, where the provincial capital was located. Cyrene became the chief city. Archaeology in Cyrene has been particularly fruitful.

Another Sculpted Head of a Dionysus Statue Discovered in Aizanoi
Another manifestation of the sculpted head of Dionysus was discovered earlier in the ancient Greek city of Aizanoi in today’s western Turkey. It was found alongside the marble head of Aphrodite, the goddess of love. Aizanoi, like Cyrene, was an important political and economic center in Roman times.
At the time of unearthing, excavation coordinator Gokhan Coskun told Anadolu Agency: “These are important findings for us, as they show that the polytheistic culture of ancient Greece existed for a long time without losing its importance in the Roman era.”
Coskun, an archaeologist at Dumlupinar University in Turkey, went on to explain that the statue heads had been found in a previous dig but weren’t unearthed until some time after in a creek bed in Aizanoi. The archaeologist believes the findings point to a possible sculpture workshop in the region.
In August, a statue of the ancient Greek goddess Hygieia, the goddess of health and cleanliness, was also unearthed in Aizanoi.

Nemesis from Greek mythology.
According to Hesiod's Theogony, Nemesis was one of the children of Nyx alone. Nemesis has been described as the daughter of Oceanus, Erebus, or Zeus, but according to Hyginus, she was a child of Erebus and Nyx. Some made her the daughter of Zeus by an unnamed mother. In several traditions, Nemesis was seen as the mother of Helen of Troy by Zeus, adopted and raised by Leda and Tyndareus.
In the Greek tragedies, Nemesis appears chiefly as the avenger of crime and the punisher of hubris, and as such is akin to Atë and the Erinyes. She was sometimes called Adrasteia, probably meaning "one from whom there is no escape."
One of the most well-known stories associated with Nemesis involves the hero Narcissus. Narcissus was known for his extraordinary beauty but was also extremely proud and dismissive of those who loved him. Nemesis punished Narcissus by causing him to fall in love with his own reflection, leading to his eventual demise as he couldn't tear himself away from the reflection in a pool of water.

Another AU of ourselves lol
A medusa au with Feral as medusa (youll see myself in a different drawing)
The backstory as to how it happened is the same, the only difference being that it wasnt Poseidon but an unnamed demigod (gods and other creatures obviously exist its not just greek but all religions and creatures)
She appears more like a naga then the human faces short thick tailed gorgon is due to the fact that she is first gen druid, magic is in her body and altered the change to be more like that of an animalistic naga than the humanoid gorgon
Tarik (me lol) is a 3rd water druid the only things he got out of it is a strong swimming ability, larger lung capacity, longer life span, and a emotional understanding of animal (he can “talk” to them but only thru emotions but it requires focus)
He’s of course trans lol, his transition was helped by a lovely Egyptian chaos goddess (Gamma my beloved) who also provided him with a few tattooed charms one that allows his body to change to his desired sex and maintain it, as well as a tattoo of luck and protection (hes a trouble magnet lol) so the protection spell protects him from Edrasi’s stone gaze, but took them a few years to figure out lol
At least until they learn she can in fact turn the gaze on and off
Shes also been around for like 2 centuries and Tarik is like 30 but the long life span helps with looking young longer
Feel free to ask any questions!
