Any opinions on how Amaurotine children would dress? My take so far is giving them an undershirt like Lahabrea and shortening the hem to the knees. For warmth and letting kids run about.

One Dress a Day Challenge
November: Oscar winners
The Robe / Jean Simmons as Diana
Year: 1953
Designers: Charles LeMaire and Emile Santiago
I'm impressed that they managed to avoid the "bullet bra" silhouette, which was all the rage at the time. I also like the edging on the soft yellow dress; it creates a pleasing effect when the draped layers overlap.
My family used to jokingly refer to this movie as The Robe that Ate Richard Burton. It seemed a bit overwrought on our small TV. It must have been quite a spectacle on the big screen, though.

nielan headcanon: they have this joke that the other one will surely get gray hair first between the two of them. secretly nmj also thinks he'll get the first one too but will swear up and down outloud that lxc having to deal with the lan elders and being so generally polite and everything else lxc does will make him gray first. somehow this turned into them genuinely checking when they meet up (albeit casually, mostly just glancing for a moment), I think lxc gets the first one but up to you 👀
I headcanon that Nie Mingjue's hair starts going gray first, but Lan Xichen's hair turns white faster--NMJ is still only 10% gray ten years after his first gray hairs showed up, but Lan Xichen's hair started graying five years after NMJ's did, and his hair is snow-white five years later.

Okay but like who told G'raha it would be a good idea to put spikes on his hood near his eyes like that doesn't seem practical.

every time i remember "ingo is an ascian/ancient who literally forgot everything about that" it still kills me. so much staying power in the idea of the protagonists rocking up to ishgard having the worst day of their lives and there's a fucking ASCIAN just chilling waiting for them and they're like fucking dammit now we have to deal with THIS. and then he's not. like he's literally just chilling. he is so very much just some guy. and they're like why the fuck are you dressed like an evil wizard then and he's like they're comfy robes :(

Anoixi - Spirit of Spring
Spirit of Spring, often referred to as Anoixi is an embodiment of one of the four seasons in the Shattered World. Their depiction, like every other season, varies from person to person, culture to culture etc. Some might depict them as a man, some as a woman, some as neither or both; some depict them as slender or muscular, or formless; more human-like, more beastkin-like, or as an indescribable horror.
Whatever the depiction, however, some things remain mostly the same - the mask, pink and teal color, as well as their signature javelin and shield."
This has to be the quickest concept to full art process I've ever done and I'm so proud of it aaaaa

90% of their relationship is revan saying something and tarre being like “what the kriff how do you know all this”

Dean Cornwell's illustrations for The Robe novel by Lloyd C. Douglas
More info and sources below the cut
Although I haven't read the novel, the more famous film adaptation is one of my favorite Biblical movies to come from the 50s. It also received a spinoff sequel, Demetrius and the Gladiators. Jay Robinson chews as Caligula in both films, and Jean Simmons is stunning as Diana. I think Cornwell's illustrations are very cinematic; yet bright, sharp, and colorful in a way that only painting can be. It's a really amazing combination of pop culture and "fine arts." You can watch a short video of his process for these paintings below.
