On thin ice (Hockey player! Miguel O’Hara x Figure skater! Fem! Reader)

A/N: Im very excited for this series, apologies now for If Miguel is ooc and if the terminology and sports talk is wrong. If you’re experienced in either sport and wanted to lmk if I got something wrong, I’m open ears. This is mostly self indulgent brain rot tho. Enjoy :).

Swearing, yelling, a lot of me trying to explain moves, I’m not good at these lol. Not completely proofread so sorry for typos or grammatical errors. Not a ton of reader and Miguel interact, mostly just set up. Story takes place in a college setting.

Chapter 1: Have you got color in your cheeks?

“Nope, nope try it again.”

“Ughhh…”

“I don’t wanna hear it. Again.”

For the- god you’ve lost count- you go back into starting position for the move right before for the lift, you and your skating partner are currently been worked to the bone by your coach. It felt like by the time you both will develop hypothermia before you get off the ice. Your ice skating partner, Logan, throws his head back in frustration as your coach starts to put the music back to the same spot it’s been starting at for the last half hour. She was having you both do a routine to the swan lake theme (overplayed we know, but did she still find a way to make the coreo beautiful? Of course.) and she was having you do a very “simple” sequence, starting by doing twizzles together before having Logan lift you over his head in a crucifix lift. Simple enough right? wrong. Because your lovely coach is convinced that in over to win first to enter regionals, Logan have to immediately go into a hydroblade around you, while you does a single camel spin in the middle of the rink, as soon as he is done putting you down from the lift. Although you’ve mastered the moves all individually, putting them all together was difficult.

You were too focused on trying to mentally prepare yourself to attempt and fail the sequence again to noticed a group making their way through the double doors that separated the rink to the rest of the building. Taking a deep breath before you and Logan both made your way to just slightly left from the center of the rink, your coach starts the music as you and Logan began to twirl in sync with one another in almost perfect timing. Almost.

“Logan! You’re twirling too fast! You’re ahead of the music and your partner!” Calls out coach Kavinsky.

As you both stop going the tizzlers, you turn your body so you’re now facing Logan as you circle around the end of the rink before turning back around and slowing slightly so you were next to each other, Logan bending down slightly to put one hand on the back of you knee, his other arm wrapping around the front of your waist, your hands quickly traveling to his shoulders.

“(Y/N), you need to shift more of your weight to your left foot for an easier take off!” She yelled out again. Your brows furrowed together as you attempt to shift your weight over a bit more to your left foot as you squeezed Logan’s shoulders slightly. But unfortunately, your partner misinterpreted you shifting your weight and the squeezing as your cue for the lift, causing him to lift you too early before you to properly shift your weight.

“Shit- (N/N)! You good!!” Logan asked concerned as the music stopped, you’re back now flat of the ice as you let out a small grunt of pain from the slip and the fall. “Ugh… yup…yup…” you replied through gritted teeth, ignoring the ache from your back as you slowly move to your hands and knees.

“Damn! How’d you two fuck up that badly?” A voice asked before a laugh, no, multiple laughs fill the room. You shot your head in the direction of the taunt to glare at whoever made the comment as Logan helps you off the floor.

Why weren’t you surprised?

“O’Hara. Shut it.” The couch of the hockey team scolded his star player. Miguel fucking O’Hara. Captain and star player of The Spiders, your university’s hockey team. The man was nothing but 6 feet and 9 inches of pure muscle. You would honestly have found him attractive if he wasn’t such a fucking dick.

“You act like your touch shit, but I bet if you didn’t have 25 pounds of padding on and fell on your back, you wouldn’t think it’s so funny.” Logan hissed, causing Miguel to roll his eyes and scoff in response, adjusting the helmet under his arm with the hand that was also holding his hockey stick. The other hockey players trying to stifle their laughing, so they don’t get chewed out as well.

“It’s not my fault that the ice princess can’t handle a small fall.”

“Miguel.”

“It’s not my fault that you’ve developed some brain damage from being slammed into the boards one too many times.”

“Logan.”

“Well atleast-“ before the rest of the insult can fully come out from Miguel’s lips, the hockey coach, coach Turner, interrupts him. “MIGUEL O’HARA. YOU FINISH THAT SENTENCE AND YOU’LL BE BENCHED FROM THE NEXT GAME.” He roared, causing the cocky smirk to instantly drop from the hockey player’s face, your coach then turned to Logan. “You too. You’re one more remark from no ice time for the next week.” She scolded, causing your partner to huff and grumbled under his breath.

“Alright…I’ll stop, but they needa get off the ice, they’re 15 minutes over their time. They’re messing with our practice schedule.” Miguel said to Turner as he points at you and Logan with his hockey stick, his coach letting out a sigh as he turns to yours. “He’s right, you aren’t the only one trying to get wins. You’ve been digging into our ice time.” Coach turner says, crossing his arms, his clipboard in one hand. Coach Kavinsky let out a heavy sigh, as she rubbed her hand over her pale face. “Alright…let me just have them do it one more time then we’ll get off.”

The hockey team loudly groan at her sentence, causing you to roll your eyes at their dramatics, “hockey players…” you mumbled under your breath to Logan, who just nodded in agreement. Now it was Coach Turner’s turn to let out a heavy sigh. “Fine. You get one- and I mean one more go, then after that we need the rink.” The man grumble as he began to rub his temple.

“But coach-“ one of the hockey players that you didn’t know the name of (so all but Miguel) was starting to object but cut himself off when Turner turned to glare daggers in his direction, causing him to just clear his throat instead. Coach Kavinsky just turn to you and Logan, wasting no time to tell you to go back into the same spot from were you’ve been stuck on.

“It feels like we’re stuck in a time loop.” You joked with a small grin as you both skate back to being slightly to the left of the middle of the rink. Logan letting out a snort as he followed you. “We better not fuck this up again, we’ve got an audience.” Logan said as he nodded to we’re the hockey team was impatiently waiting. You just shrugged, waiting for the music to start again, “We got this.” You sent him a confident smile before continuing.

“You promise not to drop me again?” You asked with a playful smile, obviously joking as you start positioning your feet to start the twizzlers again, Logan following your movements closely after.

“Only a fool would drop a girl like you.” He teased before the music started, both of you beginning to spin shortly after. You know he was only joking, you both knew there weren’t anything between you too that was more then a platonic friendship/skating partnership.

You don’t know if the impact from the fall was messing with your vision, but you swore that you saw Miguel’s hand twitch into a fist for a spit second after Logan’s reply.

“Good! Better Logan!” Your coach praised as Logan’s twizzlers were more in sync with yours this time. Once you were done spinning, you followed the same steps to prepare for the lift, this time your footing was actually correct and you were ready for when Logan spins you over his shoulder, you letting go of said shoulders once your stomach was securely on his shoulder, as the song crescendos. Bringing your arms up and straightening them out to your side, your upper body in the shape of a cross (hence the name of the move being crucifix lift) and you couldn’t help but smirk when you say some of the hockey players, especially Miguel’s, impressed reactions. It doesn’t help that you know that most of them would never admit that they were impressed.

As Logan spun around the rink once with you in the air, before flipping you back down onto the ice the same way he flipped you up. “Shit this is the part we always fuck up.” You thought as your blades touch the ice again once Logan reaches the middle of the rink, his hands leaving your body as soon as you were stable on the ground again. Before quickly gliding a bit more towards the outer edge of the rink, you took in a steady breath as your eyebrows scrunched together subconsciously in concentration. Miguel couldn’t help but notice and thought it was adorable, before quickly shaking the thought away.

Part of the reason you both always got this part wrong was, because one would either start too early or too late, making the speeds of both moves looked rush and sloppy rather then sharp and contrasted. As Logan start to lower himself into the hydroblade, you began to do the camel spin.

“Beautiful!” Coach Kavinsky praised as she stop the music. And you almost wanted to fall to your knees and cry from relief, and you probably would have if the hockey team and their coach wasn’t 20 feet away, watching your every move. So instead you skated up to Logan and engulfed him in a hug, your partner instantly returning it. What you couldn’t see because your face was being buried into Logan’s chest was Miguel’s face turn to a scowl for a split second, his hand twitching into a first again, before both going back to their neutral state in the blink of an eye.

“We still need to clean it up, don’t get too excited.” She added as you and Logan pulled apart and began to exit the rink, a huge smile on both your faces. As soon as you were off the ice, the hockey team quickly rushed to get on and set up their nets on both ends of the rink. You didn’t pay them any mind though as you put your guards on your skates, and were starting to make your way to the girl’s locker room before you felt a hand gently grab your wrist to stop you. At first you were expecting it to be Logan’s, but theses hands were much larger than his.

“That was actually quite impressive, ice princess.” You didn’t need to turn around to know who’s talking, but when you felt the hand release you, you couldn’t help but turn around anyways. Seeing Miguel walk away from you to head to the rink, and you didn’t need to see his face to know that he probably had a cocky smirk spread on his lips. You didn’t need to admit that the shiver you felt run down your back came from his hush, low tone as he spoke and not the coldness from ac blasting to keep the ice solid.

“Did…did he just compliment you?” Logan whispered as he came closer and raised his brow at you. If you knew one thing about the hockey player, is that he never, ever said one positive about or to you (or Logan for that matter) since you’ve known him.

“I- yeah he did…”

“That’s…interesting…”

“Very.”

WHICH OF THE FOLLOWING MOMENTS WAS YOUR FAVORITE? 93 Responses

Mikasa and Levi took the spotlight this week! 30.1% of viewers felt most hyped up by Mikasa’s “explosive” reintroduction to the anime, while 22.6% were stoked to see Levi take on Porco to save Eren. 18.3% were most hyped by the Survey Corps taking on the Jaw Titan and the subsequent cliffhanger.

THE CGI CONTINUES TO BE A POINT OF CONTENTION. BE HONEST, HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE EXECUTION OF CGI SO FAR THIS SEASON? 93 Responses

Just under 50% of responses seemed to indicate that they thought MAPPA was doing very well with the CGI utilized. A little over 15% stated that although it was not their favorite, they understood that it could be a lot worse. Other responses (in order) were being neutral about the CGI, not liking it, but understanding the need for its usage and folks who adamantly rejected 3D animation. 

I actually prefer CGI titans because of the way their movements looks, it looks almost slower, to me it fits very well with how the big titans are. Im not an anime guy at all so ive never seen cgi in other anime but i really like the way Mappa's CGI looks, it blends in very well. I dont like CGI people though, the shot with Jean throwing the marly soldier off the rooftop i didn't like very much.

I feel horrible saying this believe me... but I really vibed with the CGI up until this episode. I think maybe because it's the first time its been used on humans (OPM) rather then titans. I'm not massively put off though, I really apreciate the efforts this episode must have taken. TY Mappa

The episode is great no doubt, my only concern is the CG personally, as a 3D artist myself, I think I would prefer an all 2D medium like the battle at Stohess. Using 3D is fine as long as it blends seamlessly to the background, like kengan ashura, it's not perfect but bearable.

I honestly think that 2D will always 100% be better than cgi but I can understand why mappa is using cgi

It was fine in the other episodes, but in this episode, it looked overused and bit bad

HOW WAS EREN’S ROOFTOP SWAN DIVE? 94 Responses

It would appear that the slight plurality sees Mikasa as having the best glow up out of the cast, followed by (in order) Eren, Sasha, Connie, Jean, Floch and Levi. The Old Captain doesn’t like to change up his style, we suppose.

OF ALL THE ORIGINAL CAST, WE STILL HAVE NOT SEEM ARMIN, HANGE OR HISTORIA YET. WHICH OF THE THREE ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING NEXT? 93 Responses

In relation to the previous question, we still haven’t seen 3 major members of the cast. Armin, Hange and Historia. When we asked which of the three you were most looking forward to seeing next, the slight majority (52.7%) expressed their excitement for seeing Armin again, followed by 11.8% wanting to see Hange most. Some others have also expressed their desire to see Historia again. 17.2% simply could not choose and 10.8% stated that they simply didn’t care about the 3 characters.

WHAT DID YOU THINK ABOUT THE WARHAMMER TITAN? 90 Responses

The Warhammer received an overwhelmingly positive response, with the majority expressing much excitement over both its design and powers. 15.6% noted that the design was a bit too creepy for their liking, but the powers were awesome. And on the flip side, 10% noted the Titan’s design was rather cool, in contrast to its rather OP ability. A select few did not enjoy either aspect. 

Would probably enjoy it more if it belonged to someone that likely is not going to be just cannon fodder

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE NEW UNIFORMS? 92 Responses

The Survey Corps returned sporting new uniforms to much fanfare. 30.4% of respondents really enjoy the upgrade, finding the suits to be badass. 23.9% couldn’t find the words and just settled for pure hype. 20.7% enjoy the new uniforms just as much as they enjoy the classic uniforms. 12% felt it was a much needed upgrade, though 10.9% don’t care at all about the uniform change.

EREN SAYS TO MIKASA, “YOU GUYS ACTUALLY CAME.” THIS IS FOLLOWED UP BY MIKASA ASKING EREN TO COME HOME. DOES THIS INSINUATE THAT EREN WENT TO THE MAINLAND ON HIS OWN? 90 Responses

The circumstances of the Survey Corps’ presence on the mainland continues to be a mystery. When we asked about whether Eren was there alone or not a few episodes ago, the majority believed that he was either there alongside the Survey Corps or was sent there by them. Overall, the feelings seem to be the same (that Eren came alongside the Survey Corps). 45.6% think that Mikasa’s words may have some other meaning and that things are way too planned out to be coincidence. 18.9% believe that Eren did go rogue, while 15.6% think that Eren didn’t necessarily go rogue, but wasn’t working with them for a while either. The remaining 20% have already been spoiled on this particular plot point.

THE ATTACK ON LIBERIO SEEMS TO PARALLEL THE BREACH OF SHIGANSHINA. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THIS EVENT IN COMPARISON? 92 Responses

Now that both sides of the conflict have had their rude awakening, we asked how you guys felt about the two events comparatively. 33.7% feel that both attacks were tragic, but still feel more empathy toward the Eldians on Paradis than they do toward those who were raised on Marley. At a tie, 22.8% of respondents felt that the victims of the Liberio attack got what was coming with them, while another 22.8% felt about the same amount of sympathy for the victims on both sides. 10.9% feel this is way worse than what happened in Shiganshina and feel more sympathy for the victims in Liberio. 

I am yet to know the goals behind this attack.

Marley did this countless times so I don’t feel bad for them. I kind of feel for eldians tho bc they are brainwashed from a young age to give up their lives for a country who doesn’t give a shit about them. 

Honestly they deserve what Eren is doing to them. Excluding Falco, no one outside of Paradis has earned my sympathy, even with the additional context.

SADLY, UDO AND ZOFIA DID NOT SURVIVE THE ATTACK ON LIBERIO. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THEIR DEATHS? 91 Responses

Udo and Zofia have joined the ranks of characters who tagged along with the main cast for a while only to be killed off for character development. 25.3% anticipated at least one of them to die, but not both. Another tie on this poll, 24.2% stated that they were disappointed and was hoping to see more of them, while another 24.2% didn’t care about them at all. 14.3% are happy to ditch the focus on them in favor of more familiar characters, and 8.8% feel pure and utter devastation.

EREN AND FLOCH’S LAST INTERACTION IN S3 WAS A VERY TENSE ARGUMENT. NOW IT SEEMS FLOCH IS DEDICATED TO EREN’S CALL TO ACTION, SHIFTING THE “NECESSARY DEVIL” STATUS FROM ERWIN ONTO HIM. WHAT DO YOU THINK THEIR RELATIONSHIP IS LIKE NOW? 91 Responses

Eren and Floch were anything but BFF’s at the closing of season 3. Now Floch seems to be wholly devoted to Eren’s cause… What changed? 28.6% believe that nothing has actually changed in terms of their relationship, but that Floch simply just latched onto Eren’s fight in need of a new devil. 23.1% feel that they still aren’t friends, but are in more comfortable “ally” territory. 15.4% aren’t sure what to make of it. Smaller handfuls feel that they either grew to become friends and/or co-conspired to attack Liberio together. 22% are already spoiled on the details. 

Floch is easily persuaded...and annoying 🤷‍♀️

WE SEE GABI GRAB THE GUARD’S FUN AFTER WITNESSING SASHA KILL HIM. WHAT DO YOU THINK MIGHT HAPPEN? 90 Responses

Gabi moves headstrong into the fight, wanting to play her part in defending her hometown. A large chunk of anime only viewers have been spoiled on future developments for her character. But for those still in the dark - 24.4% feel that she will successfully kill a member of the Survey Corps. 21.1% aren’t sure what to expect, while 10% think she will only manage to injure someone in the Survey Corps. Smaller amounts feel she won’t be successful in any capacity or may even die herself.

ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS ON THE EPISODE?

Epic episode, survey corps come back, OH YEAH, but I wished they didn’t use CGI on humans and bettered the CGI on Titans.

It really makes me sad how Eren is continuing the cycle of revenge by killing innocent Marleyan civilians, but it makes sense for his character.

I think I need more dialogue between the old crew to really settle back in with them. I kinda believe that Mappa's still trying to 'click', they obviously can't just get it right immediately. Other then that I loved the titan scenes, more than ODM scenes 😔

This was a great episode and I was literally vibrating in my seat from excitement! I think MAPPA is doing a great job with the animation and the music works really well with the action. Can’t wait for the rest of the season!

My Sparrabeth-rant 2

Without any fordue, I will continue where I left with my earlier update. 

When talking about connections, I can’t help thinking about Tia Dalma’s speech in “DMC”:  “See, it was a *woman*,  as changing, and harsh, and untamable       as the sea. Him never stopped loving her. But the pain it cause 'im was too much to live with. But not enough to cause him to die.” Does that remind you of anyone? There has to be a reason why Sao Fang mistook her as Calypso. I just cannot stop thinking about Sparrabeth on this. 

There were so many scenes where I would have loved Jack to be around: during Singapore and her speech as a king, for example. He would’ve been so proud of her. He doesn’t even seem to be mad at her for killing him, aside from referring to her gently as a “charming murderess”, since he knows that his predictions came true: she has more pirate in her than any other and is “ready to do whatever is necessary” (as he refers to himself in the deleted scene of COTBP). That’s why he names Elizabeth as the Pirate King. They always seem to wake each other up: Elizabeth gets through the Jack’s hallucinations to let him know they’re real, and Jack is the one who is able to tell her that her father is dead, without those exact words, and that they are still on the way. The way he does that is still very compassionate and polite. I saw the post where someone commented on this scene and pointed out that when others rush after her, he stays still, not because he doesn’t care, but because he understands her deepest fears and needs. And I couldn’t agree more.

Even though he did some questionable things, such as manipulating and sending Will to Davy Jones, those things always turned out to be better for the characters. In this case, Will found about his father and connected with him again. Nowadays, when I watch the scene where Jack saves Elizabeth, I think Taylor Swift lyrics: “The rain came pouring down, when I was drowning that’s when I could finally breathe.” He saved her, “in every way human can be saved” (another Titanic-connection). Both literally and figuratively, by showing her who she could potentially be. And same goes with Elizabeth. Though she seems to “abandon” Jack for a couple times, first to the Jones’ locker and then to Dutchman, she knows that he can handle himself and doesn’t stop for a minute to try and get him back. 

Underneath his witty and hard surface, there is a warm heart. Tia Dalma’s comment, “Jack Sparrow doesn’t know what he wants! Or maybe you do know, but are afraid to claim it to your own?” hits him right to the core. Despite everything he knows that Willabeth loves each other and that Will could offer her something he never could. Even though he is jealous and teases Will on several occasions, he doesn’t try to make Will look bad in Elizabeth’s eyes or belittle their relationship. Even if he says to himself “That’s a revolting sight!” while he sees Willabeth kiss in “DMTNT”, there’s still some gentleness in his tone. In the early version of the Isla de Muerta-scene (and possibly in the book, if I remember correctly), he actually gives himself up to Barbossa and helps Willabeth escape. But instead, we got Will knocking him out and therefore Jack stays the island. He tries to get Will back from the Dutchman in “DMC” and to help to find the best of both worlds by offering to stab Jones’ heart himself. As we all know, this doesn’t turn out to happen. Some people say that if Jack had stopped from talking pompously earlier, Willabeth separation wouldn’t have happened and accused him for it. To his defense, despite his connection with Jones’ he didn’t know he would go that far, even though his heart was closer to him than it ever was. Our beloved Captain gave up his wishes for eternal life because of Will and Elizabeth. He looks so happy when he sees Will alive. Despite their ups and downs I always loved their bromance. 

Sparrabeth’s goodbye scene is the perfect example of their non-verbal communication I mentioned earlier. When they look at each other, It's so clear that Jack wants her to stay and that by “thank you” Elizabeth means a lot more than just saving Will. When I look at Jack’s impression and hearing him say: “Keep telling yourself that, darling”, it always reminds me the goodbye scene of Captain Swan, when Hook says: “Promise me one thing. If I helped you to get off that armor, don’t put it back on just because you lose me.” In this occasion it means he hopes that she doesn’t go back to her conventional life after everything that happened between them. Sadly, from what we see from “DMTNT”, this doesn’t happen. And in that scene, Emma answers: “Then you have to promise me something too. Don’t let me be your unfinished business. Don’t wait for me to show up. Move on.” And when we see Jack in the newest movie, it seems he cannot keep that promise, either. It’s obvious from how he talks about her to her son. And it breaks my heart. 

In the end, no matter what Henry says, I don’t believe one second that Lizzie wouldn’t have spoken to him about Jack. And even though it was true, I hope that it changed after Henry returned home. Long live, Sparrabeth.

Anonymous said to bhadpodcast: While Hoechlin's open, unashamed and giant boycrush on Dylan as a person and as an actor and his constant staring at Dylan like he hung the moon and stars is super adorable and undeniable, he doesn't really strike me as a homosexual person. As far as my intuition and personal experience go there's little to no doubt Hoechlin is straight, but it's also absolutely impossible to deny the special, unique bond he shares with Dylan in real life or the intense chemistry they have on and off screen. So yeah, I genuinely believe Tyler Hoechlin has always been attracted to women and never really questioned his sexuality or even felt the need to... until he met Dylan O'Brien. 

A lot of people hold that theory too.  It is possible to just fall in love with a person.   I’m of two frames of thought: 1) he never thought about gay, but Dylan awoke the possibility in his head and now he’s all “what other cars don’t have tops!?”, or 2) he knew all along, but Dylan is what made him cave into admitting it, but also what made him turtle shell when faced with the reality of a public relationship.

Even if the public would accept a gay man playing Captain America, the real problem is that they wouldn't be cast by the conservative movie companies. For all the actors that are liberal, HW is still very conservative on the money side. Young actors not coming out doesn't surprise me, it's the famous ones that should.

Okay, so I want to clarify a few things before I get started with this.

When I say the concept of homophobia in Hollywood is based on a myth, I’m not saying that homophobia in Hollywood deosn’t exist.  Of COURSE it does, but as with all things, $$$ money trumps all. 

Because we are getting more diverse ways to access and distribute media, the people who produce it are also coming from a more diverse pool.  It’s why shows like Blackish and Empire thrive, Fresh off the Boat and really all of the Tyler Perry programming.  New demographics are being shown to be lucrative and more entertainment outlets are starting to cater to them. 

My friend and I were talking about how disappointing LOGO has become.  The fact that Logo hasn’t become Lifetime for Homosexuals is shocking.  Prooduce some original gay films that have a campy and schlock factor with lots of ugly crying and they would be my destination every Saturday morning for the rest of my llfe. 

When Colton came to Hollywood things like this weren’t an option.  So he was told to stay closeted so it wouldn’t hurt his career.  He was told being gay was career suicide and manipulated into being closeted until it almost freaking killed him. 

Noah Galvin came on the scene a decade later where possibilities and opportunities were starting to open up and being gay didn’t automatically make you a pariah.  But he doesn’t understand Colton’s generation and therefore he criticized it. The thing is that more and more actors are coming out and are creating their own opportunities.  Meaning on a network level you can be a gay working actor and not have your personal life effect your HW career.  You can even go out with your significant other and most people aren’t the wiser. 

The myth lies in with people like Cody Saint Gnue who G4P, and are caught up in this web of producers and execs who thrive on the fear of being a pariah when they’re not the only avenues anymore. 

Now, currently this works on a local level.  Meaning you can appeal to the liberal masses and maybe score an online or nationwide hit.  The international market is another beast entirely.  

When I talk about Tyler Hoechlin, I want to be gentle when I say this, I don’t see him as having international superstar potential.  I don’t even think that’s what he wants.  And with that as a springboard, I think he’s a guy that could come out and just work locally in his little bubble and be perfectly happy the rest of his life.  But I think this idea that he’s going to be this huge internationally known on the microphone star informs the image he tries to relay and ends up hurting him in the long run, especially if he lacks the ambition and desire to really go for the top spot.

Umm... what were we talking about?  Oh!  Uhh... he’s got a ~quality?

Sigh, so even leaving out intuition, there are so many factors that point to it.  Relatively isolated childhood with lots of team sports.  He went to highschool, but because of acting was often home schooled or tutored.  Had a very specific change of style that goes along with discovering yourself, but was a little late to the game because arrested development so we ended up seeing this first hand. Grew up kind of an ugly duckling, understands he’s a beautiful swan and knows how to use that.  Has a TON of girl friends and then like.. baseball, actor “team” guy friends. Chunky rings and does his own makeup. The constant bearding. The sheer and obvious avoidance of anything TOO gay.  He does this at cons a LOT, JR and Bobo will be nearly making out and Hoechs will be like PASS.  He just won’t discuss, or come near it.  Then there’s the whole GCC debacle and so much more.  

There are just so many things that would lend themselves to him being closeted and I’m sure every single one could be twisted to him being straight, but the fact it’s so debatable is its own form of telling. Do a search for Hoechlin gay or Dylan bi, etc.

I get it, it's an O'Brien stan blog but he's the one with the most promising career. not Hoechlin. Blaming Hoechlin for the "closet situation" is ridiculous. O'Brien doesn't need Hoechlin to be out and proud, but no one seems to expect his coming out and Hoechlin is the messy one to blame. It's a bit easy.

This ask is baffling to me because I’m not entirely sure where you’re coming from.  No one is blaming Hoechlin for a “closet situation”, I don’t know what that means. 

We’ve had a lot of discussions about Dylan’s sexuality (oh, I still remember a LOVELY convo we had about his more feminine qualities and how they worked in concert with his masculine ones?  So good!), but we all pretty much accept that he’s bi and in waiting.  He’s with Britt and she knows and is cool and they love each other very much and the Hobriens think that if Hoechlin ever came out, Dylan would go with him and Britt would marry Julia, durr. Otherwise Brylan will get married and have a million kids. Either way we’re happy.
