sylvia plath, todd anderson and virginia woolf (aka ACTUAL tortured poets) watching taylor “im breaking up with my boyfriend for his intense depression and blaming it on him, im dating a racist who enjoys watching woc being brutalized and harasses young woc artists, i sent my fans out on a hate train to attack a young woc actress for a line she had to say as part of her job to show how mentally ill her character was, im dating a maga supporter, i refuse to say anything about a current genocide despite being the most influential person in the world right now, i am a billionaire, i fly 13 minute flights and have the highest carbon emission of any celebrity, i am a known white feminist who only speaks about issues when it affects me and has constantly let my fans get away with extreme racism and even encouraged it by associating myself with known racists” swift call herself a tortured poet (her writing sounds like a bunch of thesaurus words slapped over gabba hanna and rupi kaur-esque poetry that was created purely as a trinket for an edgy pinterest board)

abusers when they're cruel and unjust to you: well Life Isn't Fair, you better get used to it! You better learn how to deal with it sooner than later!
abusers when life is even slightly unfair to them: throw blame left and right, demand for everyone to go above and beyond to get them Justice and Fairness, claim themselves the Biggest Victim of the Entire World, never let it go, take it out on everyone else, never attempts to find a way to deal with it

Passing as a trans man is a nuanced and complex topic, but one thing I have been noticing as somebody who is a cis-passing (white) trans man is the way I'm treated when there is conflict.
I've noticed that in conflict, people are almost meek around me, willing for me to try working with them up until a woman is involved. When a woman (or, really, anybody who the other party assumes is one) is part of the conflict, they direct all their anger and rage to them. It's fucking insane the way a woman is treated when there is conflict, even if it isn't her fucking fault. These people are fundamental cowards for seeing my manhood as the only reason they can't be openly hostile to me, but it reveals a lot about how a misogynist thinks on an almost primal level.
I'm watching the women and people around me I care about being torn apart by people, and that's unacceptable. I can't sit around to watch it, and I don't want to do that. I need other people to perhaps read this and remember to not stand by if there is something that you can tangibly do to help, even if it's to lend a listening ear or let the person vent.

I’m so sorry if this is a stupid question but I genuinely don’t know much about the topic.
When it comes to Tiefling ruts, would they be considered painful without a partner?
Not at all a stupid question! 🖤 Because this is entirely a fan-created headcanon, so I'm sure everyone who subscribes to it has different thoughts about it! Tief tumblr weigh in 👀
Personally, as a lifelong Trekkie and Spock girlie, I have a lot of biased opinions about this (pon farr anyone? no?) So I may not be the person to ask. My short opinion would be yes, probably it would be a more painful situation without a partner. Or at least, it would likely be more drawn-out to go solo during a heat/rut cycle. That makes sense to me from a biological standpoint (don't look too closely at my logic, it is shaky)
@forgeofthenine @ceo-of-sloppy-men @rolansrighthorn Shamelessly tagging the three of you on this, in case you have...thoughts to add 👀

The thing is, if you buy into the specific brand of pop feminism that posits that the problem with patriarchy is that an environment that claims men are good and women are bad will result in a reality that men are bad and women are good, rather than that we need to, yes, deconstruct the way men are pressured to be assholes in very specific ways (among MANY other things), but do so as a step toward tossing the entire concept of a Bad Gender and a Good Gender,
I don't care how much you brag about hating terfs. I don't care how much you hype your (probably fairly gender conforming lbr) transfem friends up as gorgeous goddesses. I don't care how much you deck yourself out in trans pride colors or donate to Mermaids or promote trans help charities. You will NEVER successfully be normal about trans women as a whole. Even if you are a woman. Even if you are a trans woman.
Look. Structural misandry doesnt exist like MRAs like to claim, but structural binarism and gender essentialism sure as hell does, as does the "boys will be boys" attitude toward men's misbehavior, which the individual "men are entitled trash" attitude doesn't combat, but reinforces-
And just because there is no such thing as structural misandry doesn't change the fact that trying to create a No Men Allowed space will exclude closeted trans women. It doesn't change the fact that there are plenty of out trans women who are constantly second-guessing themselves as to whether or not they've Really Distanced Themselves Enough from manhood to Count, no matter how many times you insist that self-identification is all that matters. It doesn't change the fact that not every trans woman is a 100% binary woman who feels no connection to maleness whatsoever. It doesn't change the fact that you CAN'T tell the difference between a cis man and a butch trans woman a lot of the time based on external signifiers - ESPECIALLY if the latter is early in transition. It doesn't change the fact that these standards will be enforced even harder against BIPOC trans women, in light of the way BIPOC are treated as inherently hypermasculine in all the worst ways. Hell, if it were truly as simple as Men Bad Evil Oppressors, Women Good Innocent Victims, Masculinity Valorized, Femininity Degraded, that wouldn't work as a racist oppressive trope but rather have the OPPOSITE effect, you realize, right?
In fact, you won't even succeed at being normal about a lot of cis women! If you see facial hair as an immediate red flag if it's not paired with a Sufficiently Feminine Signifier, whoops, now every woman with hirsutism is The Enemy! This is exactly why we're fighting against the campaign to do genital inspections on suspected trans athletes - I genuinely wonder from time to time how many people would have fallen for that campaign had it not been coming exclusively from people who were open and vocal about misgendering trans women.
You can't actually be normal about women just by deciding the problem is that patriarchy got it backward about Who Is The Good Gender.

I'm going to be so for real now guys I want to rail Gortash. I need him. I have an obsession with this 40 year old emo who looks like he just crawled out of a hot topic. I want to give him the most sheet-clenching, lip-biting, toe-curling prostate orgasm of all time. I think filthy thoughts about this man on a daily basis. He for real has me kicking my feet giggling in my bed like a teenage girl. Larian please give me him. I want to bite and chew on him like a dog with its favorite toy. Let me have Bhaalist ritual blood sex with him. I am on my knees begging for this man. I am feral.
Okay that's enough horny posting on main for today.

Honestly Letty (beyond her white feminism) is made all the more believable as a character by her family’s circumstances. Sometimes trying to educate someone about their privilege is harder when that person has both immense amounts of privilege and trauma. The "But I didn't have it easy!" narrative. I've known so many Lettys (and as a white person I've sometimes had to pull myself back from thinking like a Letty). It's the people with the most circumstancial privilege that feel the most betrayed by their trauma, who make a bigger deal of it, and thus are less willing to see how their circumstances are better off than others. The Lettys of the world are convinced that they deserve it all, because of their privilege, and are offended when something betrays their entitled narrative. (Her treatment of Ramy is an explicit representation of this.) Robin and Victoire also experienced abuse, both mental and physical, but they weren’t convinced going into it that they could deserve something much grander. Both of them were still just grateful to be alive and receive opportunities to advance (a narrative concocted by their abusers, of course). And yet Letty's the one who gets so much focus on how her dad treated her. It's explicitly mentioned in the group's dialogue more often, her friends all know about it - but does she know about the abuse Victoire experienced at the hands of her guardians? If she knew, could she even comprehend how far more victimized and vulnerable her friends were compared to her? I don't think she could. She tried to assert herself as an equal to Robin's narrative, after he killed his abuser. The Lettys I've known in real life never could understand the disparity. And therefore she could never understand why her friends are angrier and thus vindicative towards their circumstances.

every now and then i remember the time a few years ago, when sdmi fandom first had its revival thanks to netflix, when a wildly popular sdmi blog run by an anti said the words 'perfectly good Black woman' in reference to why you should ship [man you could easily read as white, whose arc she was fridged for] with her instead of [hatesink character whose race is ambiguous due to being a furry, but has a BLISTERINGLY antiblack narrative under a thin layer of fantasy racism, with a fun side of homophobia and holocaust denial the latter of which is directly invoked in the post], which got hundreds of notes, and i grimace my face through the back of my head all over again lmao

as a HUGE swiftie, it makes sense that her private jet use is criticized because it is a valid argument, its simple
too much jet = pollution = bad for earth
bringing a different celebrity into this saying "oh but they're so much worse" why thank you kind person that fixed the environment :)
like listen i absolutely love her and would defend her everywhere but i know when someone i admire needs to be held accountable for their actions
and like for all we know about this (which is nothing) her team may already be considering alternate methods, maybe they can't follow through right now because of what would happen if she flies commercial yk? like idk people would say she's being disruptive in the airline? or if people find out which flight she's flying in one of the crazy swifties would show up there? because let's face it she gets stalked like CRAZY (her friends' weddings, people showing up at her house, so many more instances)
none of this means it's okay for her to opt for private jets over other methods, obviously, but what I'm saying is that while she should consider alternate methods that are safe for the environment, flying commercial would not be best for her given the history
all that being said, i believe that her private jet usage is something worth criticizing and there is nothing wrong in wanting somebody, even a celebrity you like and support in many occasions, to do good by the environment
i never said she should fly commercial. the logistics of that would be a fkn nightmare for her team. and the private jet use is also fine but like there has to be a certain limit which shouldn't be crossed. flying to xyz location for a concert is fine. but flying multiple times within a couple of days just to attend your boyfriend's games is not you know? she can just face-time him before to wish him luck or something. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I rlly hate how every abuser has to be a "narcissist" now. It just feels like everytime the topic of abuse comes up people feel the need to blame the abusers behavior on mental illness and it's fucking annoying and I'm sick of it. Like blaming the abuse on a personality disorder fucking sucks and also hurts victims more than it helps them.

I live for jinchul and gunhee having a dynamic that has a little bit of everything in it
like they’re friends, they’re coworkers, they’re hunters, they’re a boss and a right hand man but most importantly they’re family
i absolutely live for gunhee playing along with jinchul’s work policy but it’s doesn’t mean anything stops gunhee from being an embarrassing doting father figure for jinchul
gunhee definitely has too much fun seeing his ‘adopted son’ dying inside from every embarrassing dad thing gunhee does

let’s get serious real quick folks!
need some of you be reminded that writers - and creators in general - post content on this hellsite at their own leisure and because they enjoy it? they share their works with you and that itself is a privilege. creators do not owe you anything! the ability to request works from creators is a privilege.
you know what else is an extreme form of privilege? the ability to go anonymous in people’s inboxes. that ability can be taken away from you at any point but if you use it to be a coward and send hate to creators, the removal of anon is so fucking deserved. some of you abuse anon and creators on this site.
creators have guidelines and rules set for reasons! if you fail to follow them, they have valid reason as to not complete your request and on top of that, writers are allowed to deny any request regardless! these are humans that have lives outside of tumblr and even more so, emotions and mental health. they are not obligated to complete your request just because you are an entitled piece of shit.
the next time one of you sends hate to myself or a mutual in anon, i am going to release straight hell on fucking earth. at that point, you deserve to rot! do not abuse strangers on the internet for your sick fantasies especially if they’re not taking requests. creators have lives and those lives are not centered around your needs for fictional men.

idk i always find it a little bit suspicious when a woman (or sometimes not) speaks up about the assault that they faced from a famous man and then immediately say that they were lying as soon as that male celebs stans send them rape and death threats and general hate. like i wonder why being threatened with violence would make a person that is already in a weakened state back down and surrender to just being labelled a liar and an attention seeker🤔🤔
