I watched AC Brotherhood with beard mod on Desmond. I'll tell you now, Desmond in a beard looks so sexy. He could have used it as a disguise since he's clean shaven in the wanted poster. I bet the team (Shaun, Rebecca and Lucy) got distracted by him when he's doing mundane tasks like reading the Animus data base. If he had cabin fever and went out to get food for the team, people would stop and stare at him.

The only difference between Desmond's and Ezio's in-game model in Brotherhood is the beard and hair. Ubisoft at it's finest XD

That Auditore gene is what makes Desmond look so sexy with a beard.

Actually, it would make more sense if he did grow a beard while on the run from Abstergo.

Maybe he even tries to, at first. He definitely enjoyed the appreciative glances Rebecca, Shaun, and Lucy would give him as his beard continues to grow.

It was scratchy as hell but Desmond could deal with that.

But then the Bleeding Effect starts to become more invasive.

Sometimes, he would look at his reflection and Altaïr’s face would be staring back at him for a second before he could even see his own face.

Desmond could ignore it. It rarely happens, after all, and there was nothing frightening in Altaïr’s reflection. He just looks at Desmond with that stoic expression of his.

Desmond didn’t mind.

Then…

Ezio started appearing in his reflections too.

The more memories he relived as Ezio, the more times he saw Ezio’s reflection.

They always stayed for just a second or two.

Desmond could deal with that.

Until they were chased out of Rome, and they started hiding in the Sanctuary.

He continued to relive more and more of Ezio’s memories.

Then one day, Ezio’s reflection didn’t disappear after a second.

It was still there even after a minute has passed.

Desmond’s heart began to beat too fast, his breathing became too shallow…

And Ezio’s reflection changed to a panicked expression Desmond had never seen before.

That’s when Desmond realized…

He wasn’t staring at Ezio’s reflection at all.

He had been staring at his own reflection this entire time.

That very same day, he finally shaved the beard he had been maintaining since they started staying underneath Villa Auditore.

He ignored the confused and disappointed looks thrown his way.

He focused on his reflection.

On his clean-shaved face.

And relaxed.

As this was the face of Desmond Miles.

… Not Ezio Auditore.

This was him.
