the really fascinating thing about limited life is that there is, technically, a way to give someone a life.

you can let them kill you.

unlike last life, you actually have to die, and it’s not an even exchange. you’ll lose more than they gain. in last life, Tango was able to forcibly give Scar a life to calm him down. that’s not possible in limited life, because it’s not about giving life, it’s about taking it.

at some point, a player may be faced with an ally who has only minutes left to live, and they’ll have to ask themselves if an hour less of living is worth half an hour more with them.

at some point, a red name may be faced with a ticking clock and their friend’s back, and they’ll have to ask themselves a longer life is worth losing their trust.

at some point, a single player will remain in the world, all alone, and they’ll have to decide if they even want all the blood time they have on their hands.

Everyone’s talking about how much they love If I Should Stay, which is fair, I’d say a solid 98% of what I write os tooth-rotting fluff and there’s definitely a lot of domesticity in this fic, and the newest part out is from Wayne’s POV (which I don’t tend to see a lot?) and.
