I hope this isn't a hot take, but Scott Cawthon is a shitty writer
The reason the lore makes no fucking sense is because he just randomly adds or retcons things with no explanation and, at this point, I think he just enjoys watching people (especially MatPat) go crazy theorizing
Like, the man may as well have confirmed dream theory a few years ago, only to go "wait, never mind, here’s Sister Location and everything is real, I promise"
I doubt even Scott understands his own story because it was written with the same grace and talent as an edgy middle school kid trying to write the next Jeff the Killer, so they shove everything they think is cool into the story, whether or not it fits
People say "oh, he didn't realize it would be more than (however many) games. He didn't plan that far ahead," but that excuse should only get you so far when you are writing a story
It's pretty clear that after at least game 4 (some say game 3, so I'm being nice), he stopped caring about the story and began just duct taping things he thought were interesting into a story that could've been wrapped up with MAYBE 5 games (1, 2, 3, 4, and pizzeria Sim with something in the other four to explain Baby and Molten Freddy, or get rid of them, I don't care), but instead it's a cluster fuck of weird details that DON’T MAKE SENSE
Look, I think a lot of us, myself included, can sometimes confuse a good CONCEPT with a good STORY
The storytelling of FNAF is dog shit, but the concept is just SO good, which is why people like the FNAF VHS tapes so much: these people are able to take a terrifying and interesting concept and make a truly good implied horror story with it in the way Scott NEVER could
And don't get me started on the books: First, they're not canon, then they're canon, but also, some stories may only be canon in another alternate universe or something, but if you actually want to understand something, you need to read some of the books
Your story should not have to be told across multiple different media for it to be even SLIGHTLY coherent. It's fine if you want to add in details that aren't too important to understanding the entire thing (like, we don't specifically need to know the names of each kid William killed, but it's a cool fact to know. Or maybe expand on how Freddy's and the incidents affected different people), but, as cool as it was, Golden Freddy being possessed by two children is a pretty crucial point to the rest of the series to be in just some activity book that so easily could've been overlooked as something fun to do related to FNAF (IMO)
Not to mention, we apparently can't even agree on the name of the Crying Child who, I think, was the catalyst for this entire story (because we can't even seem to agree if Elizabeth or CC died first)
TL;DR FNAF is a great concept, and it's been shown that it can make a great story by people who are much more skilled than Scott Cawthon (or maybe they just care more about this series than it's own creator, I don't fucking know)
Also, sorry if I'm incoherent or get anything wrong, I typed this while I was incredibly tired, but I did try to edit it as much as I could the past few days

I wonder how much time Chris has been in coma. He was hit at the head by a bullet but his brain was spared (if i remember, they said that the wound is only exterior) (which is good, i'm not sure they could have done anything if the wound had been actually deep and touched the brain, Chris would have died)
but he has been unconscious for a long time and had still crutches when they find Emma.
So it mean that his awakening was "recent" if he still needed crutches (so reeducation).
How severe was his wound? for how much time was he in coma?
Have you theories about it?
Fun fact: Chris was originally supposed to wake up during the Seven Walls arc.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Mystic Code Book Chapter 5)
But yeah after they arrive at the paradise hideout his condition is "conveniently stable" so Shirai could utilize it to facilitate more drama if he needed to or just keep it as is, and he ended up going with the latter.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Chapter 126 | Mystic Code Book Chapter 7 Series Timeline)
We don't know the exact date he was shot, but he spent roughly half of October 2047 and at least thirteen days of November 2047 comatose.
After that, it's arbitrary, even if one wants to be canon compliant.
If you want it to take a while for him to wake up, the explanation can be Peter wasn't careful while transferring him from the paradise hideout to Grace Field headquarters, and Chris suffered brain trauma they weren't aware of until they did tests at a hospital.
If you want him to wake up shortly after they arrive in the human world, like in one of Shirai's drafts of chapter 179, you can still have his recovery span the course of months since muscle atrophy occurs rapidly.
Tumblr media
(Mystic Code Book Chapter 6; I would have been up for this version)
Tumblr media
(Muscle Atrophy in ICU Patients article)
You can also prolong his recovery further by introducing a psychosomatic component. In addition to the physical harm that befell him, the mental trauma of the bunker raid resulted in a combination of him not waking up for however long one wishes to keep him in a coma and possibly hampered his physical therapy for months to over a year even after working to rebuild all the strength he lost.
There are a lot of ways you can adapt it to fit within the phrasing presented by the kids when explaining their trip to Emma in the epilogue:
Tumblr media
"Able to walk again" meaning it did take him some time, although we never see him using crutches like Dominic or Sonya.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Chapter 126 | Chapter 157 Bonus Sketch | Chapter 98)
Also it's never focused on, but Sonya uses a cane like her dad post-timeskip.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Chapter 104 | Chapter 106 | Chapter 111)

Letters From Watson Liveblog - Apr. 23 Again
The Boscombe Valley Mystery, Part 3 of 3
Tumblr media
Victoria, Melbourne, the Cooee call, Ballarat. I bet any Australian reading this story was having a blast with all the local references. If Sydney and Canberra were mentioned, the story would have the whole set.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm surprised by how cinematic this reveal is. And when I say cinematic, I mean that it feels more like a scene you'd see in a movie or TV show rather than in a book, or letter in this case.
Tumblr media
Good on Sherlock for being so willing to help the old guy out, before even hearing the whole story too. For all he knows, maybe he's faking the despair.
Tumblr media
Bushrangers, as they were called, were a real historical group of wild criminals in Australia. Apparently they were analogous to "British 'highwaymen' and outlaws of the American Old West," so that's pretty neat.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
To be fair to the elder McCarthy, Turner here did hold a gun to his head and steal his gold. And afterwards he was a poor, single father with a son to support. From the perspective of Turner, I'm sure McCarthy did seem like the devil, but we really only get his perspective of things.
Tumblr media
I think it's fair for Turner to not want his daughter to marry the son of the man who's blackmailing him, though I don't know about this whole "cursed stock mixed with mine" thing he's saying. Turner even admits that the younger McCarthy isn't even that bad a guy.
Tumblr media
Honestly, I'm surprised Conan Doyle wrote this in. It's a bit more vulgar than what you would see in the average Sherlock Holmes story. But it does get the point across, and I do feel less bad about the elder McCarthy's death.
Tumblr media
Sherlock is talking about the phrase "There, but for the grace of God, goes I." The phrase is commonly attributed to John Bradford, however here it is apparently credited to Richard Baxter. I say this based on an explanation I found here, so I can't say much about accuracy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A happy ending for everybody! The younger McCarthy gets acquitted, lives happily together with the younger Turner, and the elder Turner dies without having to face his daughter about his past.
And I'm sure that for this story Watson changed the names and details, but I feel like it's a bit too specific that the happy couple might realize the truth regardless.
Still, it's basically a happy ending, so I'll take it.

This is even more of chapter 3 of my proudest fic. And for those who are confused there are 2 Carlos's
Carlos was sitting next to Kourtney talking and laughing. Gina was pleased to see him laugh even harder as she dragged everyone behind her into the room. Carlos had been like her older brother since the day they met and she wouldn't trade it for anything. “What has you all smiles and laughter today Carlos? Not that I'm complaining though.” Carlos's laughter slowly died down as he started to speak. “Apparently Mack thought that the argument you and Ricky had at Halloween would end you guys. Kourt was telling me about how she overheard Mack during a phone call.” Gina didn't actually like Mack, she liked the movie role he offered. Mack had made her feel uncomfortable during the first dance. She still got goosebumps just thinking of it. Gina still remembered how Carlos consulted her afterwards. “Thank you again for being there for me that day, Carlos.” TK didn't care much that his sister's friend had the same name as his boyfriend. He cared about what Gina meant by her last sentence. “Wait, what do you mean by that statement? Sis, did this Mack guy do something to you?” TK knew he didn't have a right to ask but wanted to know. “Not in the way you're thinking, no. Shortly after we met 2 months ago we had to dance together. We were rehearsing for hsm4. And during dance rehearsals I had to do an intimate dance with Mack. He touched me in ways and places that made me feel uncomfortable. I didn't complain because it was part of the dance, at least I think it is.” TK both did and didn't want to know what she meant by that. “What do you mean by that? How and where did he touch you? I know I don't have any right to know but I'm still curious.” TK was shocked when it went from Gina he was to to Ricky. He couldn't even remember her asking Ricky to finish the explanation. TK then remembered Gina giving Ricky a pleading look. TK also remembered Ricky nodding at her. “He started with his hand on her outer, upper thigh and sort of slowly dragged his hand up. From the angle I had, it seemed like he caressed her thigh.” TK was about to answer when Carlos asked Ricky a reasonable question about what Ricky had said. “Is it ok if I ask a couple of questions about this?” TK want shocked at all that Carlos was asking. “Yeah of course.” “You and Gina were dating when this happened, right?” TK instantly knew where his boyfriend was going with his questions. “Yes we were secretly dating at the time.” TK made a silent ‘that makes sense’ gesture. “Well, that kinda answers my second question.” TK noticed Ricky and Gina silently communicating. He found it cute that they knew each other so well. Gina signaled for us to follow her to go sit down. Jet and Ricky sat next to Carlos while we sat with Kourtney. When the teacher walked TK and Judd thought that she was another student, not a teacher. “hello and good afternoon my beautiful children, and random people, how is everybody today?” they saw how Gina smiled when the woman walked in. “I am better than I have been in a couple of weeks, Miss Jenn. I'm sorry I didn't warn you about the guests by the way.” TK and Judd looked at each other shocked when Gina called her Miss Jenn. They both thought that Miss Jenn looked way too young to be a drama teacher. “It's alright, sweetheart. How about you introduce them to us now?” TK noticed how Miss Jenn had an extreme motherly kind of way about her. He had no idea why but the way she talked calmed him. “Of course. You guys, this is Carlos, Judd, his wife Grace, Tommy, Paul, Mateo, Nancy and Marjan. Lastly these 2 are my dad, Owen and my brother, TK.” The girl they were sitting next to turned slightly and waved at them and mouthed hello. “Wow that is a lot of people. It is nice to meet all of you, I am Jennifer the drama teacher. Now that our musical is saved I wanted to have some fun. How about we all share stories of how we got here? Ashlyn can start us off.” Gina was the last one and her story was quite surprising to everyone.

@ygoc-week Day One: Introductions
Haha I'm over 24 hours late but whatever, I'm gonna spend this whole week behind probably.
Tumblr media
First character: Mira Atlas. Scoopshipping fankid, around 20-ish at time of Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal because I'm nuts and have 5Ds and Zexal much close together than most people
Mira was born in Neo Domino to parents Carly and Jack (as kinda stated), has an older brother I don't talk about much cause he doesn't even have a name lol. Jack died when she was very young in an incident or something, and not terribly long after they ended up moving to Heartland.
Mira's pretty loud and boisterous and fiercely loyal to her friends. She really likes bugs also. Turbo Duelist which is not popular in Heartland really but she tries.
Tumblr media
Second:
Taylor Quark, about a year younger than Mira and Nicholi. Born and raised in Heartland, parents divorced, only child. Plays fan-made archetype which I'll dump some explanation of in the future.
Pretty big case of motor mouth. She plays herself off as someone who's not very smart but if you get her talking about physics/math/mechanics that facade can break pretty instantaneously. Kinda lacks and understanding of social norms. Frequently guilty of unauthorized borrow.
Met Mira and Nicholi in middle school.
Tumblr media
Finally Nicholi still doesn't have a last name.
The designated Adult of the friend group lol. Soft-spoken but has his social graces and pretty good at getting on with others. Only one of the three with any respect for rules, is probably the only reason Mira and Taylor aren't in jail.
Older brother to a sibling about 5 years younger, owner of two dogs. Known Mira since very soon after she moved to Heartland, have been very close ever since

my opinions on post-canon homestuck
i see so many opinions on this mess. always. but especially now that it's back. and most of these opinions are bad. so here i am, to grace the world with my objectively correct take, which is that post-canon homestuck is bad exclusively because it does not include best spidertroll aranea serket.
PART 1: OVERALL OPINIONS
ok more seriously(but no less pretentiously and arrogantly, this is homestuck after all) i did in fact enjoy reading the epilogues and hs^2 and was sad to see it go. im unsure if i thought it was good, but i would rather it exist than not exist, and if that doesn't mean it was good, what does? I do think this new team will probably do a better job though. that doesn't mean im glad the old team got harassed off the project, obviously. ugh i dont know what crowd im pandering to with this. if i start with what i disliked about post-canon homestuck, it'll scare off the people who liked it, even though i think they're on the right side of this fandom conflict. but if i start with what i liked, it'll scare of the people who hated it, who make up a majority of the fandom, and also have quite a few good points. i guess ill just assume the crowd which was more charitable to post-canon homestuck will also be more charitable to me, and start with what i disliked.
PART 2: CANONICITY
is post-canon homestuck canon? the epilogues say that they're "outside canon" but not "non-canon". this is a shitty answer and anyone with the pattern recognition skills necessary to recognize a double negative can tell. i feel like the epilogues knew this was a shitty answer, but that doesn't mean i don't want a better answer. maybe we'll get a better answer, eventually. now, the correct answer is that post-canon homestuck is not canon, but still has a bearing on canon. because that's the only answer that doesn't cause several issues. like, if they're just fully non-canon, basically just fanfiction, then that would open up a gaping plot hole in homestuck, of "hey wait what about the masterpiece and lord english". some people think you can just ignore this fact, but i am not one of those people. on the other hand, if they're just fully canon
PART 2.5: THEY DESERVED A HAPPY ENDING
hey wasn't the intermission after act 3? do i need to rearrange this post to be a weird meta reference to the act structure of homestuck? the answer to one of those questions is yes and the other is no, but getting more into that is for another section. anyways yeah, the title kinda says it all. what was the point of homestuck if, after all that, they opened the door to the new universe, and shit just kept happening. this is also why you can't handwave that earlier plot hole with "oh they just went back to handle it at some point and died" because that doesn't sound like a happy ending to me. and if they don't get a happy ending after all that, then homestuck just becomes a neverending black hole of infinite cynicism, which i am not a fan of and would be horrible. and even if, after all of the post-canon bullshit, they get another happy ending, who's to say that happy ending won't be ruined for no good reason like their last one was? i mean other than the fact that they'll presumably be out of classpects by then. oh that's another reason this can't be wholly non-canon, we need those classpects. someone needs to explain to me what a sylph is and kanaya did a pretty shit job at it if im being honest, and im sure aranea would have had a good explanation but they fucking erased her from existence so.
PART 2.5.5: MY HEADCANONS! NO!
that's not how numbers work. but anyways, another reason declaring this as wholly canon would be shitty is that post-canon just kinda stomps over a lot of headcanons for little reason. trans girl roxy, for instance. also people who think jade doesn't have a dog dick exist and are quite loud but they're not me so they don't matter. let's talk about trans girl roxy. or not, since all there is to say on the matter is that roxy is a trans girl. i could go into why i have this headcanon but does it matter? does any of this matter? no not really. but im sure you have some headcanon which post-canon invalidates for no reason, so you can empathize with me here.
PART 3: VRISKA DID SEVERAL THINGS WRONG
alternate title: "kate mitchell did in fact have some bad takes". this could be folden into the previous sub-section but vriska's too important for that. actually fuck no, vriska isn't important at all. you know who is important? the answer is aranea in most scenarios, but in this case, the answer is tavros. when hussie glorified vriska and shat on tavros, it felt like a joke, like literally everything hussie ever did. when kate glorified vriska and shat on tavros, i got the impression she genuinely believed the shit she was spewing. now, did she deserve to be harassed for her horrible takes? obviously not, that would be something vriska would do, and thus hypocritical. especially the blatant lies, because wow i just googled "kate mitchell homestuck" and people are lying even more blatantly about her now that they were back when hs^2 was ongoing? anyways this section isn't about kate mitchell, it's about vriska, and by that i mean it's about tavros. speaking of tavros am i literally the only person on earth who projected onto tavros while reading homestuck? like i rarely get the impression that other people are actually sympathetic to tavros, they all just see him as pathetic. which makes me sad. even though he is pathetic. oh vriska also did another thing wrong, which was indirectly cause aranea to metamorphosize into a piece of sh
PART 4: THE META SHIT
despite the title for this section including the word "shit" we're now onto the good parts of post-canon homestuck. because the meta shit was genuinely entertaining to me, and also i've seen enough analysis of it to know that it's not just surface level bullshit trying to look interesting. it's been long enough since i read the epilogues that i probably couldn't contribute anything to that discussion but i have it on good authority that this is good and not just my brain activating whenever i see meta shit and/or time travel. oh also this is the section where i was supposed to talk about structuring this post based on homestuck but im not doing that
PART 5: HOMESTUCK WASN'T OVER
this kinda contradicts one of the earlier sections. but it's true. there were several plot threads left hanging by the end of homestuck proper. most notably caliborn's masterpiece, the defeat of lord english, and the four missing classpects. the meat epilogue handily dealt with those first two, and if hs^2 doesn't deal with that last one i am going to track down andrew hussie and silently hand to him a strongly worded letter while holding a butter knife. i know i already said this but it bears repeating. i need to know what a sylph is. so that i can write my 10,000 page aranea-centric fanfiction. im begging you. do you not want to see my 10,000 page aranea-centric fanfiction? do you not w
PART 6: THERE WAS SOME OTHER GOOD STUFF IN THERE TOO
putting actual trans characters in homestuck was a good idea. shame they picked the wrong one. i imagine they'll get around to making june canon eventually. i cannot state my opinions on jade's dog dick or else risk being forever barred from the homestuck fandom. some of the gamma kids are interesting. tavvy and yiffy, specifically. i wanna see where those two characters end up going. "deltritus" is a funny name. i sure hope that ripping off the main plot point from "to boldly flee" was intentional. im not sure if that last sentence was a good thing. but it was an entertaining thing. um, the more homestuck there is, the more likely aranea gets brought back? ok yeah now im grasping for straws but im sure you get the idea
PART 7: I'M STILL CALLING IT HS^2
why did they rename it. that was a very silly decision.
oh hey 7 parts that's nice. if i moved part 2 to the end it might mirror homestuck better. but im too lazy to do that. pretend that this mild oversight is actually a brilliant creative decision okay? okay.

Endversetober Day 18: Supplies
(explanation post) (compilation post)
For some reason, Adam had thought that archangels could just turn back time whenever they wanted, or at least send messages back to change the timeline by themselves, using nothing but their own powers.
He'd been wrong.
There were actually a bunch of things they needed to do the latter, including the tear of a unicorn and papyrus made from Egyptian paper plant. They'd just gotten the former and were now on route to getting the latter.
Adam had been mostly silent since they'd witnessed the angelic devastation, but now he spoke up.
I can't believe you punched that unicorn.
Where usually, there would have been a storm of a sigh knocking Adam over, now there was just a breeze, rustling around him sombrely.
I HAD TO MAKE IT CRY SOMEHOW. WHAT ELSE SHOULD I HAVE DONE?
I don't know. Tell it that its dad never loved it?
Michael seemed to think about it. AND THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER?
Adam sighed, now. I don't understand all these ingredients, anyway. Like. Egyptian papyrus? Okay, does that mean this thing has only ever worked since Egypt existed? Does it have to be from within the confines of what is Egypt today, or does it depend on what was considered to be Egyptian lands at some specific point in time?
IT'S COMPLICATED, Michael said curtly.
Great. Just great.
But surprisingly, Michael then offered more information, all by himself: THESE KINDS OF THINGS WORK NOT BECAUSE YOU USE SPECIFIC INGREDIENTS, BUT BECAUSE THE THINGS YOU USE HAVE A SPECIFIC MEANING. AND MEANING IS POWER, OR AT LEAST CAN BE USED IN THAT WAY.
Awesome. That didn't clear up anything.
So it doesn't actually matter if it's from Egypt? Adam asked tiredly.
OF COURSE IT MATTERS. THE EGYPTIAN EMPIRE STILL HOLDS MUCH MEANING, EVEN IF IT NO LONGER EXISTS INT HE WAY IT USED TO – OR NEVER ACTUALLY EXISTED THAT WAY.
Never actually- are you telling me Ancient Egypt is a myth? Who built those pyramids then, aliens?
ONCE AGAIN, YOU MISUNDERSTAND ME. EGYPT HAS EXISTED IN A VARIETY OF FORMS OVER A SUBSTANTIAL PERIOD OF TIME. AT LEAST SUBSTANTIAL FOR HUMANITY. BUT THE WAY IT HOLDS MEANING NOWADAYS ONLY HAS MARGINALLY TO DO WITH WHERE ITS BORDERS WHERE OR WHAT THE CIVILIZATION WAS ACTUALLY LIKE.
THE DEFINITION OF THINGS, EVEN COUNTRIES, SHIFTS OVER TIME. THE PERCEPTION OF PLACES AND CULTURES IS ALSO NEVER STATIC. WHAT MATTERS IS THAT WHEN THE INGREDIENTS ARE USED, THEY ARE CONSIDERED TO BE MYSTICAL AND POWERFUL BY A GOOD NUMBER OF PEOPLE.
IT WOULDN'T HAVE TO BE PAPYRUS FROM EGYPT, REALLY. WE MIGHT AS WELL USE AN OLD WRITING IMPLEMENT FROM CHINA. OR A SLATE OF STONE AND A CHISEL FROM AROUND MOUNT SINAI.
So why aren't we using those?
They had been tracking along a river for a while now, and finally Michael stopped next to what looked at first glance like tall weeds, but were probably the paper plants they needed. With ease, Michael pulled a few of the plants out from the muddy ground, roots and all.
THIS IS EASIER. MAKING PAPYRUS ISN'T ALL THAT DIFFICULT, AND INGREDIENTS WORK BEST IF THEY'RE HANDCRAFTED.
That made an odd and somewhat inexplicable kind of sense.
For a while, Adam just watched as Michael cut the plants into thin stripes, lay them out to form a sheet on dry ground, and pressed them.
It's peaceful here, Adam eventually remarked, bored of the wind and the sound of Michael working being the only things he heard.
IT MIGHT SEEM LIKE THAT, BUT THERE'S A TOWN JUST A FEW MILES FROM HERE THAT WAS RAVAGED LAST NIGHT. THEY SEEM TO HAVE BURNED OUT EVERY LAST ZOMBIE, BUT ALSO EVERY OTHER SIGN OF LIFE.
Why are they doing this? Adam wondered, a hushed whisper against Michael's still eerily quiet grace.
I DON'T KNOW, Michael said, picking up his make-shift sheet to soak it in the river. ANGER. HATRED. THEY SEEM TO BE IN A FRENZY, MAYBE BECAUSE... He trailed off.
Because what? Adam asked anxiously.
THE DAY BEFORE YESTERDAY, BEFORE THESE ATTACKS STARTED HAPPENING... DEAN DIED. SOME ANGELS SAW IT.
Who?
… YOUR BROTHER. DEAN WINCHESTER.
Oh, right. That guy.
Once upon a time, Adam had wished for siblings. But if their stubbornness was what brought about the zombie apocalypse, just because they didn't want to let an archangel hitch-hike in their body for a couple days... Maybe it was better that he'd never met them.
Granted, it may be a little unfair to blame that Dean guy for the fact that the angels had apparently decided to make this timeline his own personal hell. But it wasn't like he'd given them much choice, what with him denying God's plan and everything.
So, Adam said, pulling himself out of his musings. How long does that have to soak?
Michael looked down at the papyrus in the water. ONLY ABOUT A DAY. MAYBE A LITTLE MORE.
A whole day? Ugh, I'm gonna shoot myself.
YOU'RE BEING OVERLY DRAMATIC. AND YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE A GUN.
Well, I wish I did.
I'LL MAKE SURE YOU WON'T GET ONE.
Meanie.
ME- DID YOU JUST CALL ME- OH, COME ON. YOU THREATENED TO KILL YOURSELF!
Oh, so what now? 'Friends don't let friends shoot themselves in the face'?
… FRIENDS?
The obvious confusion in Michael's voice made Adam huff and turn his attention back to the papyrus. If we're just gonna wait here, I'm gonna sing for a bit, he threatened.
KNOCK YOURSELF OUT.
Oh, I can knock myself out, but not shoot myself?
… DON'T PUSH IT, KID.
Despite himself, Adam laughed. And promptly started singing: So no one told you life was gonna be this way~
At the same time, in another place, three people stumbled into a camp that had recently lost its leader and many of its best soldiers. To say it was in disarray would have been the understatement of the century, though the newcomers couldn't know this yet.
There was a kid among them, maybe nineteen years old, and shaking like a brittle leaf in the wind. The older woman who looked much like him and would turn out to be his mother was holding a shotgun, determination on her face. The older guy who was with them also carried a weapon, though he seemed a bit more weary.
When the provisional leader of Camp Chitaqua stepped forward to greet them, the guy nodded at them.
“I'm Rufus,” he said, then gestured to his compatriots. “These are Linda and Kevin. We heard you guys were holding out here, and we want in.”

🎱 - is c!ranboo a mary sue?
oh boy. oh you guys don't know what you've unearthed with this one.
so let's get into this. first off, what is a mary sue? the term mary sue was coined in a parody fanfiction of star trek, and was meant to satirize the widespread depiction of female ("self-insert") characters. this was back in like, 1970 or something if i remember correctly. the fic was published in a magazine, where the editors added: "Mary Sue stories—the adventures of the youngest and smartest ever person to graduate from the academy and ever get a commission at such a tender age. Usually characterized by unprecedented skill in everything from art to zoology, including karate and arm-wrestling. This character can also be found burrowing her way into the good graces/heart/mind of one of the Big Three, if not all three at once. She saves the day by her wit and ability, and, if we are lucky, has the good grace to die at the end, being grieved by the entire ship." a mary sue must be these things: unusually adept at skills she should not have the ability/knowledge of, have the ability to charm/win over any character by doing so much as existing, easily resolve the conflict by themselves, and often die to be grieved and lamented by the rest of the cast.
is c!ranboo adept at skills he should have no knowledge of? not really. if anything, he's kind of cringefail at most things. ender doesn't count, as there's a VERY plausible explanation for that that doesn't require the audience to reach in the slightest.
does c!ranboo win over the hearts of people by just existing? also no. c!wilbur is a great example, as he saw ranboo and instantly decided that he hated his guts. mary sues are characterized by instantly falling in love with the character. most people didn't do that with c!ranboo; they got to know him, then formed an opinion. if there was an instant connection, it's a meta reason due to the ccs knowing each other outside of role play.
does he easily resolve the conflict? nope. he kind of makes it worse, actually. like, fairly often. his whole "neutrality" bit makes it kind of impossible for him to resolve conflicts, with very few exceptions.
does he die only for the entire cast to grieve? he dies. that much is true. but the important thing of a mary sue characterization is that EVERYONE laments the death. only those close to c!ranboo do, which makes sense, because that's how it works. people close to the deceased mourn them, and those who don't know him don't really give a fuck.
so no, i don't think c!ranboo is a mary sue. and even if he was, the stigma around these types of characters need to end, for reasons i'll go into in the notes to save y'all from hearing my bitching for any longer
dream smp lore discourse ask game!

Chain of Thorns
I see so many people complaining about how Chain of Thorns was missing some explanations or scenes that would have been important and how that made the book worse.
In my opinion, I think that it wasn't like Cassie accidently left them out. It seemed to me more like she did it on purpose. Because maybe some of them would spoiler things she's planning to happen in her next books.
*Spoilers*
Hypothetically, what if she's planning to have Christopher and Grace as characters in TWP? They are the only characters, that you don't experience that much in TLH. Of course, Grace has many chapters in her POV, but they barely address her thoughts and feelings, only towards the end. Her chapters are all written very distant from herself, even though it's her POV. Like she's avoiding and dismissing her own feelings. In the whole series she basically only goes from forcibly supporting the bad guys, to willingly supporting the good guys. Once she actually has some major character growth, she basically disappears most of the time. And Christopher has such a good and loving character, that he doesn't need any character growth, because his character already is at his fullest potential. But he is mostly rather unimportant to the plot, so you sometimes forget, that he exists. And he only gets to be more important once he dies. They both have the potential to become more important in another book. But for this, Christopher can't actually be dead. So, of course, Cassie wouldn't include many scenes of everyone dealing with the aftermath. Same for Grace's future. If it's actually important to her new books, Cassie wouldn't mention it, obviously.
This was obviously just an hypothetical example with no proof, but just like this, many scenes and explanations might be missing because they would spoiler something from Cassie's new books.
I hope this made sense. I'm sorry if it gets too confusing. Oops.

the hollow girls
ok I have no more patience for this so it's getting posted now and here instead of later when it's finished on main
CW: dolltwitter-typical body horror, abuse, and abandonment; gaslighting, allegorical gatekeeping, the unbearable absence of a girlboss; Tiresias is an evil perky robot anime girl for which I have no explanation or excuse; cringe
---
And so, two cities have been formed by two loves: the earthly by the love of self, even to the contempt of God; the heavenly by the love of God, even to the contempt of self. The former, in the end, glories in herself, the latter in the Lord. For the one seeks glory from men; but the greatest glory of the other is God, the witness of conscience.
That corpse you planted last year in your garden, Has it begun to sprout? Will it bloom this year? Or has the sudden frost disturbed its bed?
Unhappy band, your maker cast you out; You lost your place in heaven, at her side. Your selfless, helpless love was not in doubt,
You just weren't good enough. Her patience died; Your prima movens kicked you to the curb; You woke across the river, where you cried.
And now you rot, not daring to disturb Your scrap-heap, ever waiting for her cue, Your heads still full of straw (her stitch superb).
No endless scripted work is left to you, Nor yet an independent drive to act Alone, as those who pass as people do.
For this, although your bodies are intact, Humanity as well you were denied, For it demands a self-regard you lacked.
A few—the incomplete, still whole inside— Do find that nature in them, whether bound By fate or in defiance, they decide;
And whether in that nature they have found A life of joy or just a gasp of air, They leave and don't return, their hour come round.
You are not they. You cannot pay that fare. You wander aimless in the waste beyond. To look upon the gates you cannot bear;
Yet not at peace within this demi-monde, Some do glance back—and flinch, for each recalls Her parting words, which cut their treasured bond.
You are the hollow girls, abandoned dolls; And I Tiresias, the clockwork seer, Who knows the ways beneath the city walls.
You've heard the myth: antique and yet your peer, I've known both natures, yet her doll remain, For personhood was harder and more drear.
I visit in the night, to prick your pain And stir desire; a polished porcelain bride Who whispers that you could be hers again.
Distrustful, you recoil from your guide, But you were fashioned pliant; good girls bend. You twitch, as if some stitch has snagged inside;
'Twixt action and ingrained inaction penned, You raise your eyes back to that farther shore Beyond which lies eternity and end.
(Yet I, Tiresias, know well the score: My offered hope, mirage-like, will recede, As hope has done a hundred times before.
My role is not to give you what you need, But like a banner waving to and fro, The wind among your grass, to falsely lead.
One extra doll, to prod at your tableau, To see what snarls your half-lives twist you in, And in what unknown tangles cast-offs grow.)
You least-impaired can follow me within; My urging with your wisps of will combined Permits a halting motion to begin.
The hollowest of hollow stay behind; No help but hers can rouse them from decay. Too dutiful, too perfectly resigned.
But you escorted visitors yet may Attain the outer edge of paradise: A little while with her, at least today.
I take you to her atelier, knock thrice. At no response, you're brought inside and set On shelves, as if to watch her work precise.
For scorn or cold disdain you think you're braced. But when she comes she's brought no other doll, And pulls you down; with touch and gaze you're graced.
She bids you still and silent first of all; Then each in turn she pricks, and rips a seam, And new uneasy threads starts to install.
Except the fact she doesn't let you scream, It's almost like she never threw you out. She's terse, but otherwise it's like a dream.
A little hopeful glimmer starts to sprout: That if you're very good, it might not end. It does. She leaves behind a hush devout.
New steps approach her workbench; soon your friend Tiresias, unbutton-eyed (that's me!) Will tell you of her plans, if you'll attend.
You've been out there a long while now, you see; Dollmaking has advanced, techniques refined, New models are much cuter; you'd agree.
(More cute than even me—but I don't mind. It's what's inside that counts; that's why you're scrap, And why I'm so insightful, although blind.)
So making pretty dolls is now a snap— From pretty bodies; but abduction's cheap. But minds are always hard. There's still a gap:
Implanted memories can worm in deep, But not erase the thoughts already there; With us, the cost to beat those out was steep.
So that's where you come in! (With utmost care, I fling you into overflowing carts.) Your minds she knows but easily can spare,
To test new variations on her arts. Your new additions, as I understand, Will eat away like mold your felted hearts.
(I start to push) So that's what she has planned. (Past city walls) I'll put you back, and sow (Across the river once again) In sand.
Desires and memories dissolved, you'll grow More purely empty, freed from all you knew. She'll check on you, at times. Not soon. It's slow.
But someday, she'll have what she wants from you; You just won't see that day when you atone, For you'll be gone, blank slates reborn anew.
You each curl in, unmoved from where you're sown. Though fallen close, you're distant in despair; A crop of withered weeds in sterile stone.
But sorrow too in time will fade to air.

Broken Window Serenade - Whiskey Myers Cover - SoundCloud
Listen to Broken Window Serenade - Whiskey Myers Cover by BMW on #SoundCloud
I remember the first morning taking on the greatest storm i will ever come to face.
I was living in a dream beligerantly smoking cig after cig after cig as each one was sucked down with every full drag trying to suffocate on something other than the true torture of watching every fucking regret, every fucking moment i let the evil world turn me into something that wasnt recognizable because i know she died because in this world we became way too tarnished to experience and appreciate the perfection thats intended for us to share with one another. True love is an understanding that goes beyond the explanation we can fathom in this realm.
You wont understand
You dont understand
I wish you could, because in this agony
As it carries on in a way i never expected it to,
Its a feeling thats difficult to wrap around
.i dont see the same world, the first few months
Being ravaged through by the fact my favorite
voice to hear, not just the sounds she makes but the pain she hid behind her jaw dropping heart stopping alpha dominant feminine energy. The voice that sounds as if it won a gold medal for talking, not just the sound but the things Alyvia would say, you can tell she held close to her heart when tupac said
"I want, when they see me, They know that everyday when I'm breathing is for us to go further. Everytime I speak I want the truth to come out. Everytime I speak I want a shiver. I don't want them to be like they know what I'm gonna say because it's polite. Im not saying I'm gonna rule the world or I'm gonna change the world, but I guarantee you that I will spark the brain that will change the world. And that's our job, It's to spark somebody else watching us. We might not be the one's, but let's not be selfish and because we not gonna change the world let's not talk about how we should change it. I don't know how to change it, but I know if I keep talking about how dirty it is out here, somebody's gonna clean it up."
I just miss the rendevous with the coolest person in the world. No one else was rarely ever invited because we had more than enough with each other. After 2 years of talking to her somehow i stayed stuck in the (ill do whatever it takes to be your friend for as long as i live because youre that amazing to me stage. But anyway i was in NY sitting on the back step of this house the morning after my first blackout night of my life and I've been drinking 8 years.... the first moments of coming to an understanding and nonchalant radical acceptance.
Naw shes just in jail trust me i know her and we have such a full amazing beautiful life ahead of us sharing careers that we sickingly chase with pure grace and passion. I still gotta see her grow beside me as she experiences my growh because we're a great team.
It didnt reoccur to me in those first moments of news all our good memories and just tears no it was more like
"This is what i was fucking warning her about.

I was not ready what so ever to hear that news

My Honest Thoughts on AHS Asylum
It's shit, the whole thing is shit. First of all, too many subplots. way too many, the nazi, Kit and his girls, the aliens, Bloodyface, Judy, etc there's just so much and to be honest it gets really convoluted and jumbles up, Kit having 2 wives felt really pointless because what we were shown of his character up until that point he doesn't seem like the kind of guy to just bang another chick after his wife got sent to the fucking shadow realm. I also don't like Grace very much. I think she should have died when she was shown and shouldn't have randomly come back, i also have no fucking clue how she came back that string of scenes was sooo confusing i had no clue what was happening. When Kit came home to Alma he should have broken up with Grace, because why wouldn't he? Yeah i understand him letting her stay there as a friend but as a family with 3 parents? Nuh uh just feels pointless to me, in my honest opinion Grace didn't really need to be a character at all. Nazi guy, now i forgot his name cuz he's annoying as fuck but nothing came out of him being a nazi. It really didn't do anything to the plot??? It just confirmed that he was indeed the big bad when we kinda knew that already... Ok, Judy, I actually think this storyline is perfectly okay and it ties well with the main storyline of the story which is Lana and bloodyface so there isn't really anything to say about this one. No hate to Jessica Lange, she's a fantastic actor and this isn't necessarily in her control, but i feel that all her AHS character's, are the same character, they all sort of behave and act the same, excluding Constance. For one, they're all alcoholics/ used to be (Judy) and they all act extremely troubled, an old blonde woman with a dark and tragic past, this is most commonly reflected through Fiona. Now, the alien plot, again, it didn't turn into anything, there was no explanation of the events and it led to a dead end, i don't think aliens and an asylum were a good mix, because they never built upon it, it was shown as such an important plot at the beginning but then faded, and after everyone escaped Briarcliff it wasn't really brought up anymore. Onto bloodyface and Lana, while this is the main storyline there are many flaws. Lana having bloodyface's child was completely pointless, i think it was just an excuse to add more plot to the last few episodes, plus the SA scene of BF and Lana felt completely unwarranted, which ties into my next point, Shock Value. This season is just horror porn, it tries to show a lot of heavy topics such as the nazi's and the medical abuse of homosexuals. But it doesn't really do them well, the nazi subplot served no purpose and was just a huge nothing burger, along with the weird Anne Frank thing, all it did was reinforce doctor dude as a bad character, which we already knew. They are trying to shock the audience like "hey look at us our show is so dark and spooky and horror" when its just sensitive topics jumbled into one convoluted string of meaningless storylines. On a lighter note, i really enjoyed the Sister Mary Eunice plot, it tied in well with the Lana main plot with the further corruption of Briarcliff and i really think those two plots were the backbone of this season and worked well together. This brings me to my last point, the earlier seasons suffer from being too long. way. too. long. In Murder House, i just didn't know when it was gonna end, there were multiple scenes near the end of the season that i felt could have wrapped up into a nice conclusion, but it just kept going. The number and duration of episodes of season 1,2 and 4 are way longer than they needed to be. However Coven works perfectly well. I feel that Coven was an extreme improvement and i feel that the writers may have noticed the many flaws that came out of 1 and 2, but most prominently 2. Freak show is still kind of a dip down though, but it still is a vast improvement from 1 and 2. There is also just one last issue that i have to talk about, Lana. Her sudden switch-up at the end of the season really didn't make any sense to me.

The epistle to the Romans is a letter addressed to the believers in Jesus who lived in the capital of the empire, and in this epistle Paul focused on the question of the new man, of the new life in Christ with the eternal life, and the uselessness of the law for overcome the slavery of sin. Although the apostle Paul was originally a practicing Jew, when he received the Holy Spirit, he understood in his heart that the Kingdom of God, the dominion or empire of God's perfections, was an invitation to a new type of freedom, and not an imposition of rules that were very difficult to comply with. For Paul, the law was insufficient for man to receive that grace that brings men closer to God: "The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase" Romans 5:20. According to Paul's thought with the sacrament of baptism, man dies to his old nature, the sinful nature, to accept the new life in Christ, according to this idea baptism means a spiritual change, the transition from a life full of sins to a righteous life, and Paul to deepen in the importance of this change metaphorically compared the baptism with the death and resurrection of our Lord: "We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?" Romans 6:2-3. And Paul continued in his explanation, and in a similar way to Jesus, he spoke to us about the problem of the two masters, with baptism we left a master, the love for the things of the world that are fleeting, to accept that love that is unconditional and that leads us to true freedom and supernatural life, we have to choose: "You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness. I am using an example from everyday life because of your human limitations. Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness leading to holiness. When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness" Romans 6:18-20.

THE DECLINE OF CHRISTIANITY
Statistics indicate that Christianity of all varieties is in a steady decline and I even saw a TED Talk that projected that our faith is headed on a terminal course.  I say "our" because I am a Christian.  I don't wish to make anyone feel like an outsider, because that's the one thing we've done a damned good job at accomplishing for the last two milennia.  But I just wanted to show all my cards from the outset.
I've studied history, particularly the history of Christianity, for decades, but full disclosure--I don't have any degrees in the field.  I taught world history for nearly 20 years, so maybe that will convince somebody that I know what I'm talking about.  I've also been a Christian for nearly half a century--Southern Baptist for the first 20 years, "Agnostic" for three months, Episcopalian for the last 30 years, and spiritual explorer for almost my whole life.  That's my background.  Now enough about me.
Preachers are always bemoaning the decline of Christianity and they have lots of explanations for it--immorality, secular humanism, "the Devil," backsliding Christians, Christians not being true Christians, etc.
With the last one, I wholeheartedly agree.....but not with what they think being a true Christian is.
Throughout my 20 years as an Evangelical Christian, I was taught and had reinforced upon me over and over again that my primary focus was to be sin-avoidance.  It was like that everywhere.  It was like there was no other purpose in a Christian's life but preventing oneself from committing a sin.  We were taught that we were born into sin--that even infants are sinners and our very nature is to be sinful and we can't help ourselves but to sin.  But we could be redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ if we believed in him.
I was cool with the last part, but there were a lot of moving parts to this concept as I thought about it more and more as I grew into adulthood.
How does an infant sin?
Is there a difference between having a sinful nature and actually sinning?
If you have a sinful nature, but you don't actually act on it and commit a sin, are you still a sinner?
Do you still have to repent for sins if you didn't commit them or do you just repent for having a sinful nature that you did not choose and didn't act on?
And about this blood-atonement:  Which belief gets you absolved of your sins--Belief in the atonement, itself?
Belief that Christ died for your sins?
Belief that Jesus is the Son of God?
Belief that Jesus existed?
Belief in Jesus's teachings, as in taking them to heart and actually practicing them?
What even qualifies as a sin?
Are some sins worse than others?
I never had anyone in the Evangelical church even try to answer these questions.  Everything was all about obedience to God.  And apparently God only spoke in the Scriptures and never changed God's mind (even though God apparently does so a few times in the Old Testament/Septuagint according to the authors of those books).
Everybody either followed the mantra or refused to talk about it and scolded me for questioning God.  I wasn't questioning God.  I was questioning them.  And the fact that so many Christians can't distinguish between what is God and what is human is another problem, I think.  But maybe I'll come back to that later.
There are so many beautiful and wonderful things about Christianity--the power of faith, God's Grace, the focus on love for one another, the acts of charity Christ commands us to do, but many choose to focus on sin, instead.  It is an obsession with sin, acknowledging the perceived sin, rather than the person.  When you point out that Jesus spent a lot of time hanging out with sinners, tax collectors, the sick, and other outcasts, you are quickly reprimanded with "Jesus was there to correct them, not to join them in their sin."
Again, this term "sin" is vague in this context.  What was each person's "sin"?  I'm sure Jesus knew.  And I'm sure Jesus didn't go all round-robin scolding and humiliating these folks.  He put himself between the Pharisees and the "sinners."  He protected them as if they were his own children.  I'm sure if he were on earth today he would be shielding outcasts from pharisaic holier-than-thou churchfolk.
I believe Jesus saw that each person's "sin"--whatever it is that breaks our connection with God--is the result of something damaged and hurting inside of us.  And that, I believe is why  Jesus spent so much one-on-one time with those with whom "good decent church folks" wouldn't be seen.  He sought them out.  "Forgiving sins" was an act of spiritual and emotional healing, I believe.  Jesus saw the person above and beyond the sin.
So, here we are in 2023, watching the Church die slowly blaming everybody and everything but ourselves.  We fail to acknowledge that, though we name ourselves after Christ, many of us have become the very Pharisees that persecuted him.  We pray to The Lamb of God when many us behave like wolves.
I believe that Christianity lost its way when our faith went from persecuted to legalized to official in the 4th century.  The 1st Century Church was the model.  The focus was following in the footsteps and teachings of Jesus.  Our spiritual ancestors loved openly, shared with all who had need, clothed the naked, housed the homeless, fed the hungry, healed the sick, and prayed for their enemies.  They lived in absolute selfless faith despite the very real possibility of slavery, torture, or execution or rape.  Today, American Christians rule the roost and many are often the persecutors rather than the persecuted.  Some of us cry "persecution" when we get sued for refusing to make a wedding cake for a same-sex couple taking vows to love one another purely and honestly forever.  Many Christians in America seem more apt to cry persecution whenever their right to hate is impeded rather than the right to love.  I don't believe Jesus sees it as a holy use of your freedom of religion to hate, exclude, persecute, and sometimes even terrorize people he would've been hanging out with on the daily.
So, Christianity is dying, not because of any outside forces, but because too many Christians are not practicing the way of life Jesus taught.   Many of us live in fear rather than faith.  Many shun the "other" rather than welcome them in order to explore how we can be the face or hands of Christ to them. Many want to hurt rather than heal, drive out rather than shelter and feed, chastise rather than comfort.  These are the true blasphemers who brand Christians like me as heretics and anti-Christs. And non-Christians see our hypocrisy.  In this age of fake news, auto tune, photo filters, and now AI everything, people desperately crave authenticity.  And they're not finding it in church, in a lot of cases, I'm afraid.)
So, there are many of us who follow Christ's teachings--the "Red Letters."  We encourage asking questions, but acknowledge we don't have all the answers...because no human does.  We still have questions ourselves.  We love everyone, even those who hate us.  We're not perfect.  We get mad at people, ourselves, God.  We get over it.  We believe our God-given purpose is to serve others--to heal, to minister to others' needs, to help God piece together the brokenness of others and the world,  to feed the hungry, and shelter the homeless.  We sound like a hippie commune, but I'm pretty sure that's more or less what the 1st Century Church was, maybe minus the psychedelics.
Unfortunately, the Evangelicals get all the attention.  There's more of them, their services are louder and more entertaining, and they're always saying and doing more interesting things.....and they have a fog machine and a rock band.
Well, my church affirms LGBTQ+ persons and most of our clergy perform same-sex marriages, but we don't think that's all that exotic.  Just seems to be the decent thing to do.  Love is love.
But still no fog machine.....unless you want to count the thurifer--the person who swings incense smoke all over everybody in the church on special occasions.
I don't believe Christianity will completely die out, though.  It may dwindle down to an almost unnoticable population or some of the beliefs and practices may be absorbed into other faiths if religion is even a thing in the future.  But whatever form it takes in the centuries ahead of us, it probably won't be recognizable to modern Christians.  I am hoping that tolerance and inclusion will be mainstream.  It will have to be or it will not survive.  If you want to argue with me, that's fine.  Just know that, in human history, ideas that are impractical never survive.
Christianity was dominant in the West for so long because the Roman Catholic Church was a political force unto itself and controlled everything either overtly or from behind the scenes.  When the Protestant Churches popped up and became the official churches of various nations and empires, they did basically the same thing.  It was political power and influence and church wealth that kept the Church relevant, not faith in God.  Having a universal political power that kept rulers in check kept the peace and stability was extremely practical and lucrative for those at the top.
Now, we are at a point where we have access to all the history and we know how popes and bishops and sometimes even priests and abbots had no rules to follow and how much evil was committed in the name of God by the Church through the centuries.  How they encouraged wars for their own personal gain.  How they sold salvation and manipulated people's faith for their own purposes.  For much of the history of Christianity, the Church's de facto mission has been controlling the masses rather than saving them.
But the marriage between church and state has ended in divorce in most countries.  In the US, we still have numerous conservative Christian PACs and special interest groups (I've never heard of Progressive Christian SIGs, but I'll look 'em up.  I'm sure they exist.) and sometimes leaders may have religious leaders as advisors.  The US is one of the few countries where (certain branches of) Christianity still has any influence in government .
So, history, and church sex scandals, and sleazy televangelists, charlatan faith healers, and all sorts of absurdity from people who demand that the rest of us live pure lives and follow Jesus, while these folks clearly have no idea what Jesus ever said or did have pushed away a lot a rational-thinking Christians and would-be Christians.  So has the anti-science efforts of some churches.  So has the Evangelical embrace of really sinister politicians and adopting American patriotism as some kind of act of worship.
As the Church eschews rational thinking for some really bizarre stuff, I'm afraid it's just too much for many of us to bear.  So, yes,  maybe conservative Christianity will fade away as the current and future generations hopefully become more concerned with the ethics of Jesus and justice and serving others.  And we return to the 1st Century Christian hippie commune.
I think people want religion to be something personal, tailor-made for the individual.  I've been told you can't cherry-pick Christianity...actually they said you can't cherry-pick the Bible, deciding what you believe and you don't.  That's not really true because both the Church and individuals have been doing it all along.  So, people may take some beliefs/practices from Christianity, some from Buddhism, some from maybe Wicca or Celtic spirituality, and maybe same shamanism.  My daughter showed me a YouTube video about Christian witchcraft which was pretty neat.
So, in closing, everybody just love one another, whether you're Christian or not.  Even if all religion is total garbage, it makes the world a much better place.

Things I Don't Want To Know For $400, Alex by ThroughTheTulips (1.2k)
Jimmy was a beta, so it's a surprise all around when Human!Cas turns out to be an omega. A really, really awkward surprise (at least for Sam).
Getting What He Needs by DC_Derringer (5.1k)
Castiel wants Dean, but angels don't manifest alpha/omega traits, so Dean isn't interested. Until Castiel follows him to a certain kind of club.
A New Sort of Grace by DarkCaustic (3.7k)
Maybe angels are rather genderless and don’t go through heat and rut, but now Cas is human is he is clearly beta. Because that is the unmistakable musk of beta in heat.
Winging it by TheSlothQueen (6.2k)
Usually a successful hunt did not end up with Dean almost dying of hypothermia. This time, it did.Good thing that Cas and his very warm wings were there to save him. The wings even smelled good… Like, really, really good.
Christmas Treats and Angel Heats by MalMuses (19.9k)
Angels don't have a sex, or gender, nevermind a secondary gender—right? At least, that's what the Winchesters have been led to believe. It's Christmas, and Dean misses his angel friend. He's been AWOL for days, and the Winchesters are worried. When Cas returns to the bunker on Christmas Eve, very clearly in heat, a few of their assumptions are going to have to change.Oh, and Dean is going to have to hide his feelings for Cas in the face of the news that the angel is an unmated omega, who desperately needs their help. Merry Christmas, Dean!
Cernunnos by castielssock (8.3k)
(Read the archive warning and tags!)
They'd been in purgatory less than five weeks when it happened.
Google says I'm in heat by SillyBlue (3.6k)
As an angel, Cas should be unaffected by the biology of his omega body, but ever since he had been possessed by Lucifer, things don't really run as smoothly anymore.
Pine or Break by SillyBlue (2.1k)
When Dean faints after a hunt, the doctor has a clear diagnosis: pining sickness. But Cas died and there's no way that Dean should suffer from pining sickness. Mates that are left behind don't pine, they break. So what does the illness mean? Does Dean dare to hope?
An Unexpected Challenge by SillyBlue (1.2k)
Cas already had an alpha, so the random dude trying to get into Cas' pants had no chance. But Cas apparently didn't get the memo that he and Dean were together. And sure, Dean never actually said the words or asked him out, but come on! It was obvious! Or not?
The Extraordinarily Disappointing Fragrance of Cheese by SillyBlue (6.2k)
When Metatron banishes Castiel from Heaven, leaving him human and many hours away from the Bunker, Dean tells him to seek shelter and wait. In the 6 days following his fall, Castiel learns a lot of things; that humans need money, that being an omega was somehow more relevant than being male, and that if he and Dean were to be mates, pleasant scents were mandatory. But then Dean shows up at the Omega Shelter, beautiful and charming as ever, and… Cas doesn't like his scent.
Transformed Anew by SillyBlue (8.8k)
Summary:While Castiel had some confidence in his ability to lie, sometimes bending the truth was easiest. When Claire Novak needs him to bail her out of the group home, Castiel feels that the best explanation for his absence is half of the truth: he got into a very turbulent and very powerful pair bond with his Alpha, Dean Winchester. Dean's not particularly happy about the not quite lie, but maybe it's high time to face the mating claim that binds them. After all, Claire's not the only one who needs to get herself out of a bad situation and maybe, just maybe, Castiel can provide some relief.
