Hey, y'all. DoctorHaifisch, the author of the Danganronpa V3 fanfic Amalgamate here <3

Some of you might've already seen the above video on my TikTok page, but I wanted this thank you message to reach as many Amalgamate fans as possible. I only found out about the fic having the 4th most hits of any DRV3 fic on AO3 a few days ago, and when I was told about it, I couldn't believe it. I went to AO3 to confirm, and that's when I found out about Amalgamate also being #7 in kudos, #4 in bookmarks, and #3 in comments. I'm still completely shocked because I truly didn't realize Amalgamate had reached such a level of notoriety in the DRV3 fanfic community

So, I just want to say thank you to everyone who reads and enjoys Amalgamate. Whether you've only read some of it, read all of it, reread it, left kudos, left comments, or even just sent happy thoughts in the fic's direction, I appreciate you all so much. 2 1/2 years ago, I posted chapter 1 of Amalgamate under the assumption that hardly anyone would even read it, and now there's an audio project, fanart, fan comics, dubs, songs, animatics, fics inspired by Amalgamate, and so much more. It still blows my mind, and not for one second do I ever take any of it for granted.

good friends and a glass of wine

If someone had told me when I started this blog just over a year ago that I would not only still be here, but also have the best group of friends a girl could ask for, I'm not sure I would believe you. One man and his portrayal of my favourite character ever has brought me more joy than a lot of things ever have.

I started my blog as a way for me to distract myself from my MA and I couldn't ever have imagined that so many of you would enjoy my writing and my ramblings enough to stick around. I look back and think about how far I've come, not only as a writer but as a person, and I honestly cannot thank this corner of the internet enough for what it's done for me. You've all been here through the highs (handing in my thesis) and lows (genuinely wondering if I could do my job during January) and without you and this escape I simply don't think I would have been able to make it through.

To you, my followers, I love you and I thank you, for giving me the ability to have a platform where I can be creative (and horny) and escape those difficult times with you all. Even if we've never spoken directly before, I adore you all.

And to my friends - to those I speak to every day, to those I don't but love dearly anyway, to those I've hugged in person, to those I am about to hug in person very soon, to everyone. Thank you. I love you. You make my life worth living and I'm glad we're all on this little corner of the internet together at the same time.

You know, I read this in the middle of my sleep bec I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night and I check my phone for notifs and I saw this.

I immediately checked YT for the trailer and when I found out that they had (finally) released it, I ran to the living room, half-asleep, to watch it on the big ass TV because my copy paste boys and their little sister deserve it.

But above all, thank you @sunshinekryze, because I really find it sweet that I was the first one you thought of when you saw it. I can't explain the joy I felt that I left (a bit of) an impact on someone.

I just wanted to take a second to say thank you to each and every one of you. The amount of love I've felt from you all since I posted that I'd finished my thesis yesterday has been completely overwhelming! Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to congratulate me, or has donated to my Ko-Fi - I genuinely do not have the words to express what this means to me, that YOU like me enough to celebrate my successes with me.

hi my loves :) just a little update for you all

first off, apologies to those of you who have sent in asks that i’ve yet to answer!! i’m about to explain why so pls bear with :’)

so exam season is coming up wayyy too fast, and i’ve been finding writing kinda hard so that’s been going pretty slow (which is v frustrating) but man these deadlines coming up are … a lot. and with an already stressed out heartpascal you can imagine how that’s going 😭 plus my lovely hamster is getting sick and everything just appears to be going wrong!!!

BASICALLY. what i’m trying to say is i’m super sorry but asks are going to be put on the back burner for a little while :( i’ll answer when i can ofc (bc you guys make my days sm better) but it’s all just. a LOT.

i’ll still put out fics when i can, but they’ll probably be quite slow :(

i love you all very much & don’t worry, i’m doing my best to take care of myself (before any of you say anything hehe) but sorta slowing down on here is a part of that!!!

💌 A letter to you lovely people 💌

I wanted to come on here to thank you once again for over 500 followers! I think we’re at 518 now and it feels like such a fever dream.

I started writing on here in July 2022, so it’s almost been a year, and the love you all have shown me since then is blowing my mind every day! We’ve grown so much as a community and for the first time, I feel less alone with the things I like. I get to do what I love and share it with people who find enjoyment in what I write and it’s just… wow. I’ve never thought I would come so far, and I am so fucking grateful to every single one of you because you have saved my creativity and kind of my life because I’ve felt so alone before I came on here, and ever since then I’ve felt like I’ve had a purpose, even when things got rough.

So thank you again, and I consider all of you my friends. I’m so glad you could find pieces of yourself in my work and that it helps you as much as it helps me. I’m so happy that I get to make you laugh, cry and sweat every day with my work, and I don’t think I could ever grow tired of you all or this.

I owe it to Tumblr and the Daredevil fandom that I’ve met who I consider my best friend and platonic soulmate @blackshadowswriter and I don’t think that would have happened if I’d listened to it anxiety and never posted anything on here. I love you with all of my heart 🤍 you are so talented and you deserve the world. Without you, I think my life would only be half as great as it is now.

And to the rest of you, and those who I have just recently started bonding with over Matt and Mikey, also, I can’t even describe how lucky I am to get to know such talented people.

I don't know why those anons that decided to attack me without the self respect to even go through my own blog are still bugging me so much but... I suppose it's just the confusion of experiencing hate for no reason. At least come at me not through someone else. My asks/anons are always open and maybe it bugs me but still. How icky. Like I wasn't even worth enough to hate me to my face (my blog. Whatever.)

In case anyone is confused on how some Tumblrs work- fan pages? They tend to only post about the things they're a fan of. I love more things than just Dom and Kells but you don't see me posting about much else. The same way Roxy separates her Kells page and 21 Pilots page but loves them both. Sure some people post about anything and everything but some of us have a focus and that's okay.

I love women, I love lots of women. I grew up on divas (the real originals, not the pop icons that exist now). I obsessed over Buffy, Charmed, True Blood, and Ghost Whisperer. I begged my own mind to see that obsession and try instead to be more like them. I tried. I tried so hard. My favorite book series isn't just by a female- it's hero is a heroine. Most of my favorite books are like that.

All my closest friends are women, online and when I got out more in real life. My mother is one of my favorite humans. My platonic harem my group of friends and my safety net here are mostly female. Just because I call out bad things when I see it and it so happens to be a woman doesn't make someone misogynistic. Frankly it's disgusting to say so and lessens the meaning of the word. People who act like that probably support Amber Heard. Saying women can't be called out for negativity or abuse isn't very feminist of you. It's basically saying women aren't actually equal.

I've been attacked on here by terfs before, I made the mistake of joking about equality in sports. Asking why trans people can't play in their group. I posed the question, why not mix all genders together and prove once and for all women are better and erase transphobia in sports but I had to delete it because I got attacked so much. It's probably still up on those pages... I think about it too frequently.

You can't have it both ways, you can't say 'equality' then say women can't be bad too. You can't claim to be better than men and then say trans women can't join your team. It doesn't make sense.

Maybe it's my AuDHD or something I don't know but when I feel mentally bad touched like that it doesn't go away for so long. It sets up shop in the back of my mind and picks away at it like acid. That's what hate feels like to me. Acid. I hear the bad louder than the good no matter how hard I try not to. But all of you have been so amazing. Thank you.
