Hey can you please explain age of the vampire au characters like oldest to youngest and their relation to one another
Okay so
Oldest is ranboo, born dhampir during the 1700s, I’d say maybe mid 1700s, stopped aging after 18
Next is Tommy, turned vampire at 16 during the 1810s
Next is Techno, turned vampire at 20 during the 1890s
Next is Wilbur, turned vampire at 24 during the 1930s
Next is watson, mortal, born sometime early 1900s, died at 45
Next are Phil, Kristin, and Tubbo, all mortal and born during the current era. Phil and Kristin are mid 30s and tubbo is 17
Tommy, Techno, and Wilbur are brothers in all but blood, and kind of like a makeshift coven. Tommy knew techno when he was a kid, and watched him grow up and almost die, subsequently turning him. They meet Wilbur half a century later, an aspiring actor in theatre and film. He was under the tutelage of Watson, an artist and producer. Wilbur almost dies and Tommy turns him as well, but this time at Wilbur’s behest. Watson dies a decade later from an illness.
Phil meets the trio in the current day by accidentally running tommy over and forcing him to at least get himself checked out in the hospital. Techno and Wilbur are forced to come pick him up. Shenanigans and found family ensue.
Phil is a paramedic. Kristin is a nurse at day shift, and vampire hunter at night. She first befriends phil to try to protect him from the vampires he keeps hanging around with, but then develops romantic feelings which are reciprocated. Tubbo is Tommy’s classmate. Nothing remarkable, but for some reason all the vampires are scared of him.
Ranboo is one of Tommy’s first friends, helped him a bunch when he was a younger vampire. They don’t see each other often but they hold each other in high regard

Dessert Island
A weight gain story by Top Tier Teaser
Synopsis: Wilbur Peck, a young scholar of nutrition and anthropology is recruited by a wealthy sugar mogul to uncover a mystery on one of his islands. Set in the late 1930s, this story details Mr. Peck's journal entries as he is recruited and dispatched to the island, where he finds a "local curse" is causing the employees of the mogul to gain weight at a rapid rate. Now, Mr. Peck must race against time--and his own appetite--as his own waistline begins to expand. If he is to escape the island and retain even a shred of his fitness, he must discover what is happening to the once-fit workers and locals on the island so he can stop the curse from wrecking his own body with obesity.
Entry One: May 31st, 1936
The Plump Visitor
                He approached me in my office. The recruiter. On my final day of the semester.
                One might think that the personal assistant to such a wealthy and renowned mogul of one of the nation’s most prolific sugar plantations would have more consideration than to interrupt a scholar at work, especially when his time was in such short supply. But, of course, the man in question so obviously lacked in self-awareness. Why should he consider the importance of my work?
                So, there I was, sitting at my desk, a pastime which I rarely take, usually opting to pace as I did my reading. I have seen other students in my position who have “gone the American way;” young men who would otherwise be handsome and fit, who had indulged too much and sat too for too long and who had accumulated that unfortunate band of fat around the middle.
                I would not consider myself a vain man, but others prized my looks. I hardly saw the merit, being far more focused on my recent scholastic accolades that the university had awarded me, but it seemed to draw in the attention of our scholars. Fresh men and women alike who ogled at me as I lectured or wrote on the board or even took a brief pause to lounge back as the professor took the reins. At first, I had found it off-putting, but I had learned to use it to my advantage, keeping my nails trimmed, my hair crisp and cut, using its reddish summer glow to my advantage. Where some professors would struggle to maintain the attention of a class for more than twenty minutes, I was able to wrap these fresh new minds around even the most boring of subjects, so long as I remembered to flick my hair out of my eyes (and to keep my spectacles tucked away in my back pocket) from time to time.
                But it was the end of the year. The students had packed and retreated to their summer homes, the coast, the less fortunate had gone back to their slums and farms to await the return of school. And I had taken time to hole up at my pocket of an office, just outside the library. It was more of a closet, really, cramped and—thanks to me—packed with books on anthropology and plantae and the history of human nature. But it had a window and even a radio and its proximity to the books next door made the place irrefutable to me.
                So I took the time that I never had, sitting on the hard wooden chair, flickering through pages. I knew I could only take as many books as I could pack and I still needed a suitcase for clothes. So I was rifling through the pages, taking notes and logging chapters I would return to next autumn, when I heard the knock.
                “Come in!” I called, expecting it to be Professor Remora, with next semester’s schedules. He had been attending multiple hearings in front of the board, hoping to get me my own class soon. The university valued my research and they valued my brain even more. And of course, it helped to have a professor who was nice to look like. If he was here, it was to share information that I already knew. So I didn’t bother to give the door more than a cursory glance, noting the warped shadow against the frosted glass, before returning my eyes to my texts.
                The knob rattled as the intruder opened it. I could hear the floorboards give a strong creak. Silently, I cursed the professor. Didn’t he know my time was limited? Didn’t he want me to get a head start on my research over the summer break? And since when did Remora have such a heavy tread?
                I fought to keep my attention on the pages, but the distractions only worsened. I could hear an odd huffing, the sound of struggling whimpers, but still I gazed only at the books. This wasn’t Remora. Perhaps it was a student, a straggler who wanted to get on good terms with me? Well, unless his grades were well above his peers’ I wasn’t in any rush to grant favors, especially anyone who didn’t know better than to disturb my studies.
                “Ah-ahem,” struggled the voice. Unmistakably, it was a young man. No doubt in my mind then that it was a student. “Mr….Mr. Peck, I presume?”
                At last, I dog-eared my research, flicked the paper into a neat stack, and removed my spectacles so as to take in the visitor.
                He was nothing remotely like what I expected.
                I had known the voice was on the younger side. About my age, maybe twenty-three, twenty four. A scholar, like myself. Or a professor’s assistant. Clad neatly in a rundown suit.
                All that was proven true, but as I first looked up, I was stunned by the sight of a big, swollen belly protruding dangerously-close to the trinkets and papers on my desk. The stomach was taught, clad in fabric that was being stretched nearly past its limits. I had seen fat men before, of course, but very few so young. Very few who should have been in their prime. And frankly, very few of the fat men I had seen would otherwise have been so handsome and so vibrant. For the head the rest of the chubby body was attached to was actually rather becoming.
                He smiled nervously, his plump cheeks shining in the light. He had innocent brown eyes and dark, well-groomed hair. In fact, everything about the young man was well-groomed, from the short layer of scruff on his still-sharp jaw to the nails on the end of his pudgy fingers, which clung tightly to a briefcase, a jacket draped over his thick arm. The curious nature of this plump man, standing at my desk kept my realization at bay. Was this young man attempting to use his briefcase to hide his body? If so, the thing was too small to cover more than his chest, which I assume now was softened by the additional poundage that covered everything but his head.
                “Can I help you?” I asked in the most measured, polite voice I could manage.
                “Mr. Peck,” the man made his best attempt at a smile before reaching out a plump hand to me. “My name is Jacob Szeroki. My employer is seeking your services for the summer. I hope we haven’t caught you at a bad time.”
                I looked a moment at the man’s hand, using my best Rochester breeding and giving it a shake. I found it to be surprisingly-comfortable, as the man didn’t try to crush my fingers like other men our age. He probably didn’t have the strength. He retracted his hand quickly, planting it firmly at his side.
                “Your employer?” I asked. “My services?” I seemed unable to form a sentence. I resolved to compose myself, straitening my back, clasping my textbook shut. I would not become flustered by a man who so obviously couldn’t control his appetites.
                “Yes, Mr. Peck,” said the flustered man. “My employer, well, Mr. Foster, he’ll want to articulate the mission—I mean, the assignment—himself.” Foster…I knew that name. I was searching my mind for its origin when I noticed the man ogling the lone, wooden chair before my desk. Its use was predominantly reserved for students who hadn’t studied a lick and wanted to blubber to me to change their grade—a fate I had little power to change. But those students were an easy hundred-pounds lighter than the man who stood before me. I feared, if this man were to sit, if the chair would survive.
                “I…I’m sorry Mr. Peck,” stammered the fat man…Jacob Szeroki. He glanced again at the chair. “It was quite a walk through the campus. And I had to stand at the train station for over half an hour! Would you mind if i…?”
                “Please,” I said, meaning anything but. “Make yourself comfortable.”
                Was I evil for wanting to laugh internally? My inner humor was quickly replaced with terror as I watched the man attempt to lower himself into the chair. It was like watching a pig attempt to wriggle from the door of its pen. I must have watched the man’s pathetic attempts to wriggle into the chair for about five minutes. I was mesmerized, I’m embarrassed to say, by the sheer amount
of jiggling his midsection did. His hips and ass were clearly too wide to fit between the arms, and yet, the man was determined. And finally, after much whimpering and apologizing, and far too much creaking of the poor chair, Szeroki was seated.
                He gave a huff, removing his hat from his head and coiffing his hair. Then, from his shirt pocket, he retrieved a handkerchief which he put to good use, patting the sweat that had accumulated over his handsome face.
                At least the face was nice to look at.
                “Oh, I apologize, Mr. Peck,” said the man. I furrowed my brows. “I’m still getting used to all this new…” he glanced down at his body, then at me, as if shocked to see both were there. “Well, never mind. My point,” he gave a scoot, causing the chair to groan painfully. “is that Mr. Foster—my employer if I didn’t mention—has a proposition for you. You don’t have to give a definitive yes until he has explained the assignment. But he is offering…” and then the obese young man did something I was embarrassed to witness. He lifted the little briefcase and propped it up on his belly, which jiggled like jello with the additional weight. Huffing and puffing, he unclasped the edges of the briefcase. “…this in exchange for your visitation. Whether you choose to say ‘yes’ or ‘no.’”
                I leaned in, my embarrassment waning as I surveyed the contents of the briefcase. And inside was more money than I had ever seen at one time. it was enough to cover my rent for the entire summer and to pay for next semester’s tuition. And there would still be enough leftover to upgrade my wardrobe. No more patchy jackets, a new hat, some fresh shoes and ties! Groceries for months! All in exchange if I chose to meet him.
                “All this, just for a meeting?” I asked, befuddled.
                Mr. Szeroki nodded his head, offering the first glimpse of a double chin that I had seen on him. “Yes, Mr. Peck. All this, for a single meeting. Though, I should inform you, the pay would be substantially more if you agree to Mr. Foster’s proposition.”
                I weighed the opportunity.
                “Well, I do have some packing to do. And I have a train to catch tomorrow.”
                “Oh,” said Szeroki, smiling for the first time. “Your apartment is being packed as we speak. And your train tickets were cancelled and rerouted for the day following tomorrow. Should you choose to return home.”
                “And my books,” I glanced down at the desk.
                “Will all be placed in the archives and will be untouched until your return.”
                I looked at the chubby man. “How do I know this isn’t all a hoax?”
                The man smiled slyly. “Mr. Peck. I, using this body…” he jiggled his figure. “crossed several acres of concrete, walked up two flights of stairs, and spent five minutes attempting to fit into this chair. Do you think someone like me would go to this trouble, just for a hoax?”
                By early afternoon, I was dressed and waiting at the airport—a place I never thought I would have the luxury of stepping foot in—in a new hat with two brand-new briefcases. We were nearly ready to fly. Only first, Mr. Jacob Szeroki needed to get himself a snack. “To settle my stomach before the flight,” was his excuse.

novem-bur day 10: rustbur! fwiatc edition again this time i finished this last night but it was like past midnight so i just decided to post it this morning instead lmao. anyways yeah in fwiatc rust!wilbur and walter crondale (yeah) are married (yeah) (i swear it makes sense) and i accidentally made this look more centered on walter but its fine i'm gonna be drawing rust for free bur day this week anyways lmao. as always fwiatc explanation under cut Thumbsup ! seems way weirder out of context than the other burs ive posted this month akjfjkdf
and yes that is the communist manifesto its a whole thing
prompt list
fwiatc link
so. i was brainstorming with a friend on rusts story. and we ended up um. making him fight in world war two (stay w me here it makes sense) but he crashed his plane in the pacific and ended up on an island. and while we were talking abt it i made a joke like 'haha walter crondale is like a 1930s radio host imagine if rust recognized him lmaooo' and i made it canon. and then while explaining it to someone else i accidentally phrased smth that made it sound like they knew each other personally, in fact i phrased it in a way that made them sound like they were! married! and i kept up the joke for so long that it gradually became unironic and they ended up. married. in gay love. in 1944. so. i'll go more into walters side of the story on his day but in the meantime, more explanation for rust: so. take sbi. but put them in the 1940s in america. and make phil be in the military. and make wilbur and walter fucking crondale (full name walter herbert oglevee morrison soot-crondale) have a childhood friends to lovers arc. and then wilbur gets drafted into the military and tommy joins him (he lies abt his age ofc) and then as i said the three of them happen to b in the same place at the same time and all three crash land in the pacific and phil Fucking Dies and wilbur and tommy just have to work w it. dw they're fine eventually (i mean not phil but. its fine) but for now theyre Not! lmao! also he has radiation poisoning and burns its a whole thing but dw abt that either its fine

Sorry for not responding but I had a 1,5 hour long lecture 😖
YES!!! I love this manhunt au sooooo much :D sadly I don't know that bunny bonnie guy nor that second person g9usg9us what about them prior to teaming up? They ran into eachother and don't have any trust yet, but maybe some kind of situation where one saves the other? Mayyyybe?
oh i hope your lecture wasn't too bad,, you don't have to apologize!! also hehe bonnie and clyde were a famous american crime duo in the 1930s, they were madly in love and went around america robbing banks together and such, they were idolized a bit and there was a movie made about them. but anyway about the au ooh i like the idea of one of them saving the other, i imagine something like they're both sneaking around in a forest, wilbur is up in a tree and he spots dream on the ground, he thinks dream is a hunter because of his gear and weapon but as he's planning on attacking him from above he sees a real hunter, one that he recognizes, crouching close behind dream and aiming a crossbow at his head. wilbur quickly makes the connection that dream is not a hunter since he's about to be killed by one, and he jumps down from the tree hitting the hunter with his sword, dream puts up his weapon and shield from the sudden attack but he sees the hunter knocked out on the ground and realizes wilbur just saved his life. they talk cautiously with their shields up until they're sure they aren't going to kill each other, and maybe they share food/golden apples or potions to build more trust before deciding they can work together

ive narrowed the list down to only completed works so none of these will leave you hanging and you can binge to your hearts content.
* = most highly recommended
Rated T
for you, the stars *
By andthentheybow
Relationships: DNF, Karlnap, SBI as a family
Words: 115k
Why you should read it: this is an au of The Martian, with george being trapped on mars. its heartbreaking, raw, so poetic and still very much keeps the realistic and scientific tone of the original work. this fic broke my heart and put it back together slowly.
~~~~~
how dare you love me like you’ve never known fear *
By andthentheybow (just read all their fics, theyre such a good writer)
Relationships: DNF, Karlnapity
Words: 11k
We Must Have Good Pitch, ‘Cause Baby, You and Me are So In Tune!
Relationships: Karlnapity, DNF (background)
Words: 73k
Why you should read it: probably my favourite karlnapity fic! its a small town rock band AU about dtqk trying to win a festival competition that features a very badass sapnap and a really lovely romance. the characters are vividly described and its just a nice, funny, light on the angst read.
I wish I were you, Optimism *
By valleyofthesun
Relationships: DNF, Georgebur (past dont let this make u not read it i beg), SBI as a family
Words: 62k
BIG TW FOR SUICIDE
Why you should read it: want to preface this by making it clear that this fic is about the c! versions of these characters. it follows george as he deals with the grief from his boyfriend, wilbur, committing suicide and shows how dream helps him start to recover from this. i read this at a time in which i needed to read something like this, after losing a friend to suicide myself, so believe me when i tell you that this fic’s depiction of grief is like nothing ive ever seen in fanfiction or in any type of media in it’s accuracy. the characterization is very true although the characters are in this very unlikely situation, the prose is absolutely beautiful, and it does have it’s funny and heartwarming moments to detract from all the angst and pain. this fic is really taxing to read, at least it was for me maybe that because i was too personally connected to it, but do consider that before you read as it deals with extremely triggering material. this fic changed me. read it right neeeooowww!
~~~~~
The Night Window *
By backtopluto
Relationships: DNF
Words: 51k
Why you should read it: i could recommend all of backtopluto’s works, honestly they are one of if not my favourite dnf author. but my favourite of their works is definitely this one. this is a 1930s car racing au, which is something i never would have thought to look for, but now i wish there were a million vintage racing aus because i need more of this dynamic. there’s so much good angst and character study in this fic, i would describe it like one long race itself, there are so many ups and downs and by the end you feel like a different person. their writing puts you into the character’s head so well, and i have such massive respect for their ability to make a historical au so realistic, im surprised the author didnt live through this time period themself.
~~~~~
Tender is the Night
By backtopluto
Relationships: DNF
Words: 18k
Why you should read it: dream dodging the vietnam draft au! another amazing historical au by backtopluto, this one is just really sweet and, well, tender.
lightning bug
By saintaches
Relationships: DNF
Words: 21k
Why you should read it: early 2000s emo warped tour band au. this is just super fun and cute and you feel like the author somehow knows what its like to spend a summer in a sweaty tour bus with your best friend and your maybe more than best friend
~~~~~
head or heart
By effervescentlies
Relationships: DNF, Karlnap (background)
Words: 58k
Why you should read it: grey’s anatomy/doctor au! very fun, good angst, well done enemies to lovers, and dnf respecting and thirsting after each other’s intelligence as surgeons <3 love it
~~~~~
take this compass, follow it home
By lightning_anon
Relationships: SBI as a family
Words: 49k
Why you should read it: obligatory SBI foster family au! usually i actually dont much like the SBI foster trope, but damn this one knocks it out of the park. a really brutally honest depiction of mental health issues. this actually helped me realize i have adhd and get help for that so uh. good representation matters! i would recommend the entire encompass series that this is the start of, especially wilbur’s section as a very interesting depiction of intersex and ftm trans issues.
~~~~~
a moment apart
By fictionalparadises
Relationships: Karlnap

hello hello sorry if this is an odd ask but i re-read your "summer suprised us" fic every once in a while even though im not into dsmp anymore, and it hits EVERY time. lovely fic thankyou for writing it :]
ty so much! that fic was very fun to write and taught me a surprising amount about classical music. if you dont mind imma take the opportunity to talk about some little details on the music i chose and why. here's the fic link before i ramble.
Starting with Fur Elise, this one is primarily there because it's a common beginners piece, and at the start Tubbo is just learning piano, but also because I thought the simple melody from the right hand and the somewhat chaotic discordant notes from the left symbolised tubbo's mental state pretty well: very put together on the outside, more panicked on the inside. also, the way the song switches from a pleading composition at the beginning to a more panic and frantic one towards the end is rather fitting for the manberg arc, when most of the fic is set.
The second one mentioned is Mass in Times of War by Haydn, which Tommy is said to tear up at. This is because the song is, as the title says, about holding on to faith and religion during conflict, which I think was very important to tommy.
The next two piano pieces don't have much meaning, but a vocal song is played twice: Orrin Tucker's You'd Be Surprised, released in 1939. The song itself is about a man who seems demure and unattractive on the outside, but is secretly a very good/kind of 'wild' lover (for the standards of the 1930s), but i thought the meaning was pretty easy to twist, so in summer surprised us the song hints at first schlatt and then wilbur as unassuming and pleasant seeming men with hidden intentions or darker sides.
And finally, twice in the fic the phrase "da capo al fine" is used, meaning "from the head (beginning) to the end", essentially instructing someone to play the part they just played once more. here are the two lines where it's used:
It tastes awful. It is the first time you drink it, but it will not be the last. He gives you a cigarette next. Puts his hands over yours, and guides you through the notes, da capo al fine.
-
New L’Manberg dies like everything else. You create a new country. Da capo al fine . You still smoke.
okay ramble over hope you enjoyed

Beyond the Clouds: A Journey Through the Evolution of Air Travel
Since the historic flight by the Wright brothers in 1903, air travel has undergone a remarkable evolution, transforming from a novel experiment to a vital component of global transportation. Groundbreaking innovations, technological advancements, and the relentless pursuit of speed and efficiency have marked this journey. Let's embark on a journey through time to explore the fascinating evolution of air travel, from the humble beginnings of powered flight to the era of supersonic jets.
The Pioneering Era:
In December 1903, Orville and Wilbur Wright achieved what many thought impossible: powered flight. Their revolutionary aircraft, the Wright Flyer, made a 12-second flight, covering a distance of 120 feet at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. This historic achievement ignited the imagination of inventors and engineers worldwide, sparking the dawn of aviation.
The Golden Age of Aviation:
The 1920s and 1930s witnessed the rapid development of commercial aviation, heralding the golden age of air travel. Airlines such as Pan American Airways and Imperial Airways pioneered long-distance routes, connecting continents and shrinking the world. Aircraft like the Boeing 247 and the Douglas DC-3 offered unprecedented levels of comfort and reliability, making air travel accessible to a broader audience.
The Jet Age Takes Flight:
The introduction of jet propulsion in the late 1940s revolutionized air travel, propelling aircraft to new heights of speed and efficiency. The iconic Boeing 707, introduced in 1958, ushered in the jet age and transformed long-distance travel. Jet-powered aircraft could fly faster, higher, and farther than their piston-engine counterparts, shrinking travel times and opening up new possibilities for exploration and commerce.
The Rise of Commercial Aviation:
The latter half of the 20th century saw a surge in commercial aviation, fueled by technological advancements and growing demand. Aircraft manufacturers such as Boeing, Airbus, and McDonnell Douglas competed fiercely to produce more efficient, cost-effective, and comfortable aircraft. Innovations like computerized flight systems, composite materials, and advanced aerodynamics have made air travel safer and more reliable than ever before.
Supersonic Dreams:
In the 1960s, the dream of supersonic passenger travel became a reality with the introduction of the Concorde. This marvel of engineering could cruise at speeds exceeding Mach 2, cutting transatlantic travel times in half. Despite its technological prowess and unparalleled luxury, the Concorde faced challenges, including high operating costs, noise regulations, and limited routes. Ultimately, the Concorde's commercial viability waned, and the fleet was retired in 2003, marking the end of an era of supersonic travel.
The Future of Air Travel:
Today, the aviation industry stands on the brink of another evolutionary leap. Advances in electric propulsion, autonomous flight, and sustainable fuels promise to reshape the way we think about air travel. Electric aircraft are poised to revolutionize short-haul flights, offering quieter, cleaner, and more efficient transportation options for urban air mobility and regional travel. Meanwhile, research into hypersonic flight could unlock the potential for even faster and more economical long-distance travel.
Challenges and Opportunities:
As air travel continues to evolve, it faces a myriad of challenges, including environmental concerns, infrastructure constraints, and regulatory hurdles. The industry must address growing emissions, noise pollution, and congestion while ensuring safety, accessibility, and affordability for passengers worldwide. Innovations in sustainable aviation fuels, next-generation air traffic management systems, and advanced materials will be crucial in meeting these challenges and unlocking the full potential of air travel in the 21st century.
From the daring experiments of the Wright brothers to the promise of hypersonic flight, the evolution of air travel is a testament to human ingenuity, perseverance, and ambition. As we look to the future, the possibilities are boundless. Whether it's crossing continents in hours or exploring new frontiers beyond Earth's atmosphere, one thing is sure: the sky is no longer the limit.

For Whom the Bell Tolls, A New Opera in Two Acts from Brian Wilbur Grundstrom on Vimeo.
"Fighting Fascism and Sacrificing for Love"
Hemingway was a larger-than-life personality. In his popular novel, For Whom the Bell Tolls, we can see some of the author in the character of Robert Jordan, an idealistic young American in 1930's Spain, who accepts a doomed mission to blow up a bridge.
Through his lyrical melody-driven music, Brian Wilbur Grundstrom brings out the emotional depths of the characters and new insight to this Hemingway classic. Using the full versatility of opera, David Dorsen's libretto and Grundstrom's music explore Hemingway's themes of trust, loyalty, honor, love, betrayal, fear, pain, loss, and sacrifice, while adding modern insight, as Robert Jordan's notions of honor clash with the reality of civil war.
The opera takes place in the mountains of northern Spain during the Spanish Civil War in 1937.

How mcyt would react to your aesthetic...
Tumblr media
COTTAGECORE
WILBUR;
-Admires your passion for homemade items
-Will help you bake fruit pies
-Loves your outfits and is constantly playing with the fabric on your clothes
-This man literally won’t keep his hands off you if you’re wearing anything made of silk
-And it’s purely because he likes how soft it feels
-Will sit in a field and play the guitar while you pick flowers for him
-Adopts cute animals with you
-Turns into mush when you come back home from a walk with a flower crown for him
“That’s for me? Awh~”
“You’re so cute how am I supposed to stay calm about this-” He watched as you reached up to place the crown atop his head,
“You can’t even reach the top of my head to put it on aHA-”
QUACKITY;
-This guy honestly doesn’t know how he ended up dating someone like you
-But he cherishes every moment with you because he needed someone soft/wholesome to be with after a stream
-Makes the most lewd sounds whenever he tries anything you bake
- “What? These are the sounds of someone who’s enjoying themselves, I’ll have you know. I’m just appreciating honest work-”
-Stole your frilly socks as a joke but never gave them back because they were comfy
-You accidentally left one of your blouses in his room and he put it on as joke during a stream and ripped it
-Let’s just say he almost cried
-He felt so bad and kept yelling at his chat not to mention anything
-Sat in silence just staring at his computer while covering his mouth out of shock
“Chat- what do I do I feel so bad- NOO-”
“Chat- chat they just text asking if they left a shirt here-”
“I’m texting back ‘no’. Pretend that never happened- pretend that never happened.”
KARL;
-Helped you make a strawberry patch
-Sends you pictures of them everytime he spots a new one growing
- “Chat ya boy has his own 1900s milkmaid bf/gf/jf.”
-Will sit for hours and listen to you talk about your fantasies of living on a farm in the 1930s
-Likes watching you embroider little flowers and things on your clothes
-Let’s you sit on his bed and write/draw etc while he streams
-Has become accustomed to your music taste and sometimes plays the songs he hears before his stream
-Ate all the strawberries out of your strawberry patch and felt so guilty when he saw how sad you were
“I didn’t know you wanted to bake with the, sweetie :( I’ll more for you?”
“What do you mean it’s not the same? They’re strawberries-”
TECHNOBLADE;
-Like quackity, he also has no clue how he ended up with someone so precious and carefree
-Finds himself talking about you while he’s recording his skywars commentaries and has to cut it all out
-Likes to read your poetry/writing
-Will go on picnics with you if you beg hard enough
-Always finds your shoes you’ve forgotten at his house because you prefer being barefoot
-Almost melted to the floor when you gave him a bunch of flowers you picked for him
-Once liked a tweet that had fanart of you and him
-His chat would not let it go
- “Chats calling me a simp- guys no-”
-You accidentally walked in on his stream once and he muted his discord instead of his mic and his chat heard everything
“I’m streamin’ oh hey darling.” He turned towards you and pointed to his bed.
“You can sit over there- yes I love your outfit- sit there.. yes it’s very pretty, sweetheart.” He laughed and turned around again focusing on his stream.
“Oh god- chat no- I’m stupid, I’ve realised that I muted in discord and not- oh god.”
-🪐woo let’s go last thing I had to rewrite :]
Technos scene was based off when his dad walked in on his stream lmao
I’m gonna start writing headcanons for separate people tomorrow!

Ghost!Reader and Ghostbur a match made in heaven
GN
Pairings: none
Characters included: Ghostbur/Wilbur, Quackity, Philza, Ranboo, (mentioned) Fundy, (mentioned) Niki, (mentioned) Tubbo
Warnings: mentions of death, cursing
Series: No, a small drabble to get the blog and my brain juices going, might make a sequel that leans more into the X Ghostbur territory depending if people want that.
Summary: Y/N wakes up and gets confronted by Quackity that they are apparently dead and forgot everything. Quackity takes them on a small tour through L’manberg to show them to Ghostbur though for what reason he isn’t absolutely sure himself seeing how Y/N died by the hands of Wilbur.
Words count: 1930
Y/N opened their eyes immediately noticing the warm sun that was laying a blanket of warmth on their whole body. Birds were happily chirping as the wind was softly brushing through the trees, making for a nice background noise.
They then noticed that they were in fact laying outside with their arms and legs outstretched but for some reason they didn’t feel inclined in moving. It felt comfortable and safe.
“Y/N?” someone called out from behind.
They felt a bit disgruntled for having to move but when they looked back towards where the the shout came from, they saw a man with a beanie and small yellow wings approaching them.
With a soft smile they waved towards that person “Yes, I believe that is my name!”
Once the person got closer they noticed how shocked he looked. His mouth was wide open, as well as his eyes.
Huffing Y/N finally stood up and walked slowly towards this shocked man “Hello? You did call out for me is that right? Y/N is my name I think.”
He in return slowly shook his head, slowly opening up and closing his mouth as if he was searching for the right words but they just wouldn’t appear. To make him feel more comfortable Y/N tried to put on their nicest smile in order to encourage him. Quite the weird man isn’t he?
“Yeah that is your name but are you like Ghostbur?” he suddenly blurted out which resulted in him smacking his hands against his mouth as if he just suddenly said something incredibly rude or embarrassing.
Y/N frowned and gave his question a good thought before answering “I’m sorry but I don’t think I know what you mean, sir.” Ghostbur? Who is that? Like him? In what way?
“Sir? Y/N, don’t you know who I am?”
Embarrassed Y/N did notice that this man clearly knew their name but when they looked at him nothing came to their mind “Oh, I’m so sorry! I suppose that must have slipped my mind! This is embarrassing.”
The man nodded to himself as if he finally realized what was happening “I’m, uh, Quackity. You used to help me a lot out back when I was Vice President.”
“Oh, really? That is weird that I can’t re-“
But Quackity interrupted them “Okay, listen I think I know what is going on but I need to check something first. What is the last thing you remember before you met me here.”
Y/N tapped their lips with their fingers as they begun thinking “Hmm, well I remember waking up under the sun here but before that. I remember warmth, no, heat. Something was hot.” Now a frown was beginning to form on their face “A scream? From who? Me? Ugh, I’m sorry Quackity I’m beginning to have a headache I just cannot remember more.”
Quackity looked hurt and defeated as he listened, nervously kneading his hands “Hey, Y/N you do realize you are dead, right? Like, you are a ghost right now.”
They blinked for a second and looked down their body which did look a bit transparent “Ah, I guess you are right! I suppose I am dead!”
“Do you know how you died?”
“What is this? An interrogation?” Y/N laughed but chose to answer the question nonetheless “All I remember is a loud bang, heat and then I was gone. That’s it.”
Quackity nodded “Come with me.”
And Y/N answered cheerfully “Okay!” as they happily floated next to him.
Quackity then led Y/N into a really pretty city. He explained to them this little nation was called L’Manberg and was currently in the middle of being rebuilt. On the way he apparently reintroduced them to a number of characters like Tubbo, Fundy, Niki and introduced them to Ranboo which was a funny little thing.
As Ranboo approached Quackity begun explaining “Ah, he is new you wouldn’t have known him but his name is-“
But Y/N was already floating over to the Hybrid, stretching their hand out “Hello! My name is Y/N I do not remember you so I’m sorry! Can you tell me your name again?”
The teenager stared at them with an unsure expression but still shook their hand “Oh! We met before? I’m sorry Y/N I can’t seem to remember you as well but my name is Ranboo.”
Quackity then had to explain to the both of them that they have actually never met before. He then urged Y/N to continue walking since he had a specific person in mind they should talk to. He was thinking of Ghostbur.
Ghostbur doesn’t remember either but he and Y/N used to be best friends but also the reason for their death. When he pressed the button Y/N was in the middle of the explosion consequently loosing their last life. Shortly after, Wilbur himself died.
After some walking and searching Quackity grew annoyed so he just decided to yell out his name “Ghostbur! Where the fuck are you?”
“You called Quackity?” A soft voiced asked.
When Y/N looked they saw a pale man float from behind the building towards them. He wore a yellow sweatshirt and a red beanie on his fluffy brown hair. A single grey strand was running along the front of his hair.
They wanted to great this new man, which they presumed was Ghostbur but their body refused to act so they let Quackity speak first.
“Good, you are here. Ghostbur you know this person?”
Ghostbur was putting his hand against his chin as he floated towards Y/N. Floating around them looking at them from every angle. As he was upside down staring at them he finally spoke up again “I feel like we have been friends before. Way back. I’m sorry new ghost but I have a horrible memory.”
“Oh, I cannot remember you at all! So I’m sorry! I seem to not be able to remember anything! My name is Y/N!”
“Y/N! That’s it! You are a ghost as well! I guess we can continue being friends as ghosts! Isn’t that fun!”
The two ghosts begun happily chatting about what they remember from their death as Quackity just stared at them. He was hoping this could either awaken any memories from Y/N or Ghostbur. He wasn’t really sure what he would accomplish by doing this or what good it would do but he had to try.
He was disappointed but he didn’t know why.
“I’m gonna let you guys be, okay?” but the two weren’t really listening anymore. They were now comparing their transparency.
From that day on it was a rare thing if you didn’t see the two together. Most people first reaction was that of shock. Sure, they started out as friends but over time as Wilbur grew more desperate slowly loosing himself, Y/N made sure to stay away from him.
They tried their best to get him back off that edge but never succeeded. When the war happened they were fighting on Wilbur’s side but whenever he tried to talk to them they would just walk away.
Then they died. By a single button press from Wilbur.
While most assumed that Wilbur didn’t realize this, Philza knew. When he protected Wilbur from the blast Wilbur was squirming around trying to get a look as L’Manberg went up only for him to grow limp and whispering a shocked “Y/N”. At that point Philza was confused why he did that but after he learned of Y/N and that they apparently died in the blast, he knew.
So when he saw Ghostbur and Y/N happily interacting with each other he weirdly enough felt happy but also felt a pang of pain in his heart. Both deaths were unfair and seeing them interact like this now felt wrong to him but both seemed so happy.
The two, Ghostbur and Y/N, both lived in the sewers together. Enjoying their time as ghosts and handing out a substance called “Blue” towards everyone.
While Ghostbur still remembered some happy parts of his life Y/N barely remembered anything but small parts from their death. When prompted to try to remember more they would always get a huge headache that can get to the point that seemingly destabilizes their ghostly body, so the others didn’t try to force them again.
Philza tried to get Ghostbur to tell him more abt Y/N and what he remembers about them but he would always just answer “They were and are my best friend. I love them dearly. We hung out all the time it is really nice that we can hang out after dying as well.”
There was only one time their old self came through a bit. It was right after Tubbo exiled Tommy. Ghostbur was trying to talk to Y/N and make them follow him and Tommy. Y/N would say that the others in L’Manberg needed them to cheer all of them up so they couldn’t follow now but later they would.
Ghostbur wouldn’t take that as an answer since the two did everything together.
Y/N then got angry, so angry the other’s were figurately transported back into the time where both were still alive yelling at each other as they watched.
“No! I will not follow, Wilbur! You always do this! You assume I will just follow you but not this time! This time you are going down a route I cannot follow you!”
Everyone was surprised to hear that. For Tubbo and Fundy who stood close by recognized this speech. This was one to one what the alive Y/N once yelled at Wilbur.
Ghostbur was furrowing his eyebrows “I’m not Alivebur, I’m Ghostbur.”
Y/N looked confused themselves as they held their head in pain “I- I know that. I’m sorry Ghostbur. I have no idea where that came from. I- uh, please go after Tommy. I will come visit later and maybe stay but right now I need to be here.”
Ghostbur nodded and floated off.
Fundy wanted to run over to Y/N asking them if they remembered anything more but they were basically running off to the sewers saying that they needed to be alone.
They don’t know what came over them. Suddenly there was this hot anger that begun to form at the pit of their stomach only to bubble over which lead to their outburst. As they were yelling they swore they were standing inside a cave. Wilbur wasn’t transparent and wearing an old destroyed coat. One of his eyes hidden behind his fluffy hair that has grown longer. The grey streak gone.
They themself felt stronger but sad. Angry. Disappointed. Heartbroken.
Fundy and Tubbo were standing by. Both looked roughed up and worried. Tubbo had bandages hidden beneath his chin. One of his eyes was covered by bandages as well and Y/N remembered feeling so much anger when they saw Tubbo. Not against Tubbo but to whoever did this to him.
As they wanted to take a closer look at more around them, they suddenly noticed that they were standing outside in L’Manberg with an obsidian wall next to them. Ghostbur in front of them, looking hurt. Tubbo and Fundy looking pale as the others who were also listening looked more shocked and confused.
They huddled down in the sewers in the room with the nice warm fire Ghostbur started. Bookshelves full with books that Ghostbur and Y/N found. A couple of books they wrote together where also found between them.
Y/N hugged themselves as a thought crossed their mind “Did Ghostbur take >How to Sex 2< with him? I’m sure Tommy misses it.”

i swear the song at 3:15 in wilbur's new video sounds just like café 1930 but only just enough to distract me and not enough for me to be certain
if you don't know, café 1930 is the song sad-ist used in sunsprite eulogy and one of my personal highly beloved songs. i read it so you dont have to also used it when reading passerine.

Although they appear in different segments, this is the only feature film collaboration between “I Love Lucy co-stars" Lucille Ball and William Frawley. Coincidently, Frawley's character in this film shares a striking similarity with his iconic character of Fred Mertz on “I Love Lucy.” In this film he plays a money-hungry curmudgeon of a landlord, much like the show. In the above photo, he appears with director Minnelli and co-star Brice.

Lucille Ball was actually fired by Ziegfeld from his road company production of Rio Rita in the 1930s.

In February 1956, Lucy and Desi appeared on “MGM Parade” to promote their MGM film Forever Darling. The show also included footage of Lena Horne singing from Ziegfeld Follies.

Lucy also played a showgirl in pink in “Lucy Gets Into Pictures” (ILL S4;E19) aired on February 21, 1955. The scene was inspired by Ziegfeld’s legendary stage shows featuring beautiful women wearing elaborate costumes navigating long staircases. To solidify the comparison, Ricky says he is going to a meeting with Mr. Minnelli. Vincente Minnelli was one of the directors of Ziegfeld Follies.

Lucy Ricardo had previously cavorted around in a lampshade in the manner of a Ziegfeld girl in both the unaired pilot and “The Audition” (S1;E6).
Tumblr media
Ziegfeld Follies includes a sketch for Red Skelton called “When Television Comes” aka “Guzzler’s Gin” in which a (future) television spokesman gets increasingly sloshed on his product. This sketch was an obvious influence on Lucy’s Vitameatavegamin routine in “Lucy Does a TV Commercial” (ILL S1;E30) aired on May 5, 1952.

Ziegfeld Girl Eve Whitney appeared on “I Love Lucy” episode “The Charm School” (ILL S3;E15). She used her own name for the character.
Tumblr media
The Telegraph Boy in "A Sweepstakes Ticket" Arthur Walsh - appeared on “I Love Lucy” in “Lucy Has Her Eyes Examined” (ILL S3;E11) as Arthur ‘King Cat’ Walsh. He teaches Lucy how to jitterbug.
Tumblr media
The first Judge in the “Pay the Two Dollars” James Crehan also played the Police Detective on “I Love Lucy in “The Great Train Robbery” (ILL S5;E5) first aired on October 31, 1955.

Porky, a voice on the telephone in “Number Please” Peter Lawford, played “Password” against Lucille Ball on September 24, 1964.  At the time, Lawford was married to President Kennedy’s sister, Patricia. On November 26, 1968, Ball was a guest on “The Tonight Show” when Peter Lawford was sitting in for Johnny Carson.

Chorus Boy Bert May appeared as a solo dancer on “The Lucy Show” in “Lucy and Tennessee Ernie Ford” (TLS S5;E21) in February 1967.
Tumblr media
In the dressing room, Lucy jokes with Fanny Brice, one of the funniest women in showbusiness.  This was the only time Ball and Brice collaborated and was Brice’s last film.
Tumblr media
Ziegfeld’s follies began on Broadway, so it was appropriate that the show featured past and future Broadway musical stars:
Lucille Ball ~ Wildcat (1960)
Carol Haney ~ The Pajama Game (1954)
Tommy Rall ~ Call Me Madame (1950)
Fanny Brice ~ The Ziegfeld Follies
Marion Bell ~ Brigadoon (1947)
Victor Moore ~ Anything Goes (1934)
There was a lot of material that was not filmed, but written and cast. Some of the original skits would have added “Lucy” performers Mickey Rooney, Ann Sothern, and Van Johnson to the cast.

Tommy, exile arc? Please?
Okay. {:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[before you continue on - please reblog instead of liking ! it boosts the piece and likes kinda do jack shit on tumblr lol ]
tommyinnit's exile arc follows 1930s fashion for two reasons :
in my mind , new lmanberg's fashion is late 1910s-1920s since the roaring 20s often symbolises liberation and freedom [ also jazz pog ] . the flip side is the 40s , which is pogtopia's style , and is literally wwii era . the 30s was the great depression , and 1934 specifically was when the hays code - a censorship code on content - was released . see what i'm getting at ? ?
1930s fashion looks really classy and i thought it would be cool to turn that on its head
some notes / headcanons i made while drawing :
i made sure tommy was made of purely circles and triangles , since squares usually symbolise stability and security , and exile!tommy absolutely is not that
tommy used to roll up his pants for practicality , but eventually just ripped them off
i used clothing from multiple different years in the decade to show that he was starting to care less about cohesiveness and appearances . it's a really small detail and probably barely noticeable but i liked it at the time lol
considering how his hair got drastically longer during exile , he was never motivated enough to style it , so he kinda just put a headscarf on and called it a day .
fun concept : antarctic empire era tommy began putting his hair in little ponytails and buns , and started braiding actual nice-looking pleats during his atrociously brief healing arc . he learnt how to do it from niki during the classic l'manberg era {:
near the beginning, he used to shield his face with his sleeve during explosions , but eventually started doing it less and less . D:
going back to the coat thing , 30s coats were made with the " superman " silhouette , with large shoulders and tapered legs . the coat is like ten sizes too big , so instead it has the opposite effect and makes him look less sturdy if that makes sense lol
tommy is drawn in pogtopia!wilbur's coat a lot , so i drew one from 1939-40 , which happens to look big and bulky and makes it super moody .
i usually give my drawings a lot of contrast , but for tommy i gave him a bunch of neutral colours that like blend together into one mildly disgusting hue just to make him look more d u l l y'know
smiley face pupils to symbolise dream
bitches be ignoring that tommy canonically has a scar on his skin so i drew it . it's from the first l'manberg war , and the weird patch on his neck is from the dream duel that never fully healed [ physically . and yk what probably emotionally too ]
he used to keep things in his pockets , but dream kept on taking them , so eventually he just stopped
the little rectangles at the waistline used to hold a belt . it got lost one day , though , and he never bothered to find it
l'manberg patch on the coat 👁

clothing notes :
the coat is from late 1939
the shirt is loosely modelled after a 1933 fashion plate of children's jersey shirts
the pants are loosely based off of boys' wear from the era , specifically from 1934-35
the shoes are 1937 children's shoes , but the colour is based off tommy's minecraft skin and probably isn't very accurate .
i looked at a bunch of women's magazine covers where they wore headscarves , but my main reference point was from a september 1930 issue .
his socks are actually just bleached 1925 spatter dashers . they're made of wool and are super warm , so even when he lost one of his shoes , he rarely got cold . his upper body [ especially his head ] is a different matter . fun fact : bandanas aren't exactly the warmest material , even if your hair is absurdly fluffy . mans fucking freezing out there
