If Y/n and Mario were in One Punch Man Book Cover
Tumblr media
This is a Book Cover of how Y/n aka SMG5, Mario and Luigi end up in the world of One Punch Man along with the Caped Baldy himself, Saitama aka One Punch Man.
How this happened is when Y/n and Mario were just hanging out until they encountered a couple of monsters that beaten them both up in a near death experience as they both tried to fight back, but they were too weak to defeat them.
However, just as they are about to die at the hands of the monsters, they were both saved by a caped baldy that take out the two monsters with just one punch.
That caused the comedic duo to train themselves to the bone by doing 100 push-ups, sit-ups, squats, and do a 10 kilometer run every single day as they both attempted to do Saitama's intense training regimen to become just as strong as him.
Eventually, the two of them managed to achieve the power they've been seeking and had become just as strong as Saitama as they both started saving people from whatever kind of threat that lurk around Creation City.
Then one day when they saved Luigi from a monster that tried to steal his stuff, Y/n and Mario saved him with their newfound strength and Luigi begged them to teach him on how to be strong like them, which took some convincing to teach him on how to be strong like them and eventually Luigi got the same treatment and became strong like them and calls himself, One Jump Man.
Then suddenly, the three of them got sucked into an inter-dimensional portal created by the Number One hero known as Blast and found themselves in the world of One Punch Man.
So then, the three of them decided to live in a separate apartment in City Z, which is right next to Saitama's Apartment and eventually the caped baldy became fast friends with the trio and worked together to fight monsters to protect the people around them and make it to the nearest sales at the supermarket.
Soon after they defeated some monsters at a place called House of Evolution and joined an organization known as the Hero Association, where they work for them to save the innocent from the wicked and perform some heroic duties to rise up to the big leagues to become S Class Heroes.
They even managed to meet other heroes in the Hero Association like Saitama's official disciple, Genos aka the Demon Cyborg, King, Flashy Flash, Child Emperor, Silver Fang, Mumen Rider, Hellish Blizzard, Terrible Tornado, Atomic Samurai, etc.
Eventually, the three of them including Saitama started taking on bigger threats like dealing with Boros the Dominator of the Universe, the Monster Association, and the Hero Hunter, Garou.
Not to mention that after gaining some popularity as heroes that somehow got the attention of other heroes like Hellish Blizzard and her group called the Blizzard Bunch that tried to get Y/n, Mario, Luigi and Saitama to join her group (reminding of a certain someone from Inkopolis that had the same motive to make Y/n and Mario join a gang because of their creative skills) or when Flashy Flash tried to asking Y/n, Mario and Saitama to look for a certain monster and become his disciple, which also resulted in slamming the door in his face and not remembering his name or when they soon found OPM versions of the Nintendo characters including a DBZ version of Shaggy that became fast friends with the gang after a fighting tournament along with dealing with a more Dangerous version of Waluigi.
What kind of adventure will the gang face off next as the Heroes that Nobody Ever Knows.
This is based on the One Punch Man Series as well as the video game, One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows and the One Punch Man Mashed Parodies, One Jump Man and One Jump Man Vs. Shaggy Ball Z.

What is the point of the rumor in your opinion?
I mean, in the webcomic it was the crude truth what happened to them, not way of escaping that, but here...
It should give Garou and the S class a way of not hating each other THAT MUCH.
In the OVA 6 when they were in a mission in a freezing mountain, Sonic was there for training and almost gets hypotermia
But the heroes did not let him outside even though he is a wanted criminal and a MURDERER, let alone die
And I quote Zombieman's words
"Even if he is a wanted criminal by choice we can't let anyone die"
Before putting on him a blanket (they tied him up as a precaution)
THESE GUYS ARE NOT HEARTLESS JERKS!!! At least not THAT MUCH of heartless jerks to let a person die in the cold
And well, Garou is Garou, and he has his things as we know, but he never killed anyone
For God's sake, even indirectly Zombieman stopped the mob of nobodies of continuing their assault; his porpuse was to interrogate but he still helped.
There was a pretty decent chance of things going better than the webcomic route...
We should expect a bunch of suffering by sure
All I can say for now is that - just as gottahaveguts said, we can 'smell a rat' in the works. Started by someone with an agenda to exaggerate false claims and rip the in-house divide even more, but ironically this also gives Garou and the S Class more in common if they're both seen with contempt despite generally being good-hearted heroes/people themselves. :P Plus the S Class who did not fight Garou will hopefully know more of the truth (Metal Bat would not agree with the rumor since he was literally there seeing Garou's behavior for himself for ex) if they happen to come under fire and their own jobs/heroism questioned. So whatever's brewing definitely goes beyond how it'll just affect Garou, when there's plenty more sneaky players with ulterior motives who'll jump in to take advantage of the current situation.

To cut through the really fun/fluffy Batarou HCs/scenarios, i'd like to offer a hurt/comfort one where Badd gets into a coma from fighting and stuff and Garou has to hold down the fort and hold their household together because someone needs to look out for Zenko (and in extension Tareo) while also be in touch with hospital staff who is monitoring Badd's condition!
Man I’ve been thinking about this for the longest time off hand. Kinda goes further than your prompt so I’m gonna put my thoughts about that under a read more.
Edit: this is so fucking long I’m sorry SKFJFJDUF
Okay so I’m thinking like. Garou’s been waiting for Badd to come home and when he doesn’t he just gets this cold feeling that something is wrong. Because obviously Badd would come home late sometimes just due to the fact that he lives the life he does but something about that day specifically has Garou on edge.
After making sure Zenko is okay to be alone for a bit he heads out to the area he knows that Badd was in. There’s a bunch of medical personnel there because if Badd was taken out you know a bunch of other heroes were too. He goes to the first one he sees and pretty much demands to know where Badd is and while they’re pretty reluctant to say anything they let him know this: Metal Bat was injured and is in critical condition so he was rushed off to the hospital. Like he defeated whatever the enemy was but after that he just dropped and didn’t get back up.
And all Garou feels in that moment is ice. Coldness from learning all this because there’s no way. There is no fucking way. Immediately goes to the hospital to verify but isn’t allowed in to see him because they’re too busy working to fix him. He’s told to go home and he does so but he’s numb. Because really there’s nothing he can do in this situation.
Gets home and when Zenko asks him where her brother is he tells her the truth because as Badd’s little sister she knows. She’s already seen it. It doesn’t make it easier.
He doesn’t sleep that night and the next day when he goes back he’s met with the same response. He can’t see him yet. There are too many things that need attention and he’ll only get in the way. Eventually he gets a definitive answer to his questions. Badd is in a coma. It’s probably a while before he CAN see him and when he does get the chance it’s nothing but painful. Seeing his boyfriend on a hospital bed in what appears to be a deep sleep but he knows it goes beyond that. He’s not waking up. And while he wants to stay there with him until he does wake up he knows that there are things he needs to do. Namely taking care of the little girl who he knows is going through as much as he is, wondering when her only family member is gonna wake up.
So he goes back home, doing his best to console Zenko who has seen this before, but never in a way where Badd doesn’t wake up. He always wakes up.
If he’s being honest with himself he doesn’t know what he’s doing. At all. But he tries his best because at this point he feels like it’s a personal responsibility. To make sure she’s eating, going to school and everything else. When she visits her brother he’s there for her when she cries.
Up to you to decide how long the coma lasts but let’s skip to when Badd does wake up. It’s probably mid afternoon and Garou is outside watching Zenko and Tareo as they’re hanging out together. He himself hasn’t been doing much either but he’s found a routine and sticks to it rather than the hours he’s spent staring at the ceiling with worst case scenarios running through his mind at a breakneck pace.
He gets a phone call from the hospital and he’s finally told something that he feels like he’s been waiting forever for. Badd woke up. What he WANTS to do is run as fast as he can towards the hospital in reckless abandon. Nothing else matters he needs to see him. But instead he tells Zenko and both of them head there.
They get to the room and he has enough left of himself to let Zenko in there first. He can hear her talk to him, the sobs and the elation that he’s awake. But he doesn’t hear him. Eventually he swallows the last of his nerves and goes in there after it’s cooled down a bit. And there he is. Awake after god knows how long. Badd’s eyes meet his and it’s like something jumpstarts inside him. He’s by his side before he even knows he moved from his spot.
Zenko excuses herself because as happy as she is and as much as she wants to glue herself to his side she knows those two have things to say to each other too. And when they’re alone nothing is said for a moment until Badd gives him a soft smile and a whispered “hi”. That’s really all it takes for Garou to break down. Because he’s finally heard the voice that he’s missed for so long. Badd thanks him for taking care of Zenko when he couldn’t and Garou calls him an idiot (affectionate) because of course he would. And to promise to never let his happen to him again. Badd gives the softest laugh and apologizes for that too. He tells him he loves him. Turns out Badd’s throat is busted among other things so at least for another while he’ll be bed bound but as always, Garou will be there.
And that doesn’t end when he’s finally allowed to go home either you KNOW Garou doesn’t let him leave or get up to do anything. Not while he’s still recovering and probably past that if we’re being honest. He’s just there swaddled in blankets and pillows (courtesy of Zenko) and Garou there ready to get him whatever he needs and then some.
One late night of laying in their bed together Garou quietly let’s him know just how terrified he was that he wasn’t gonna wake up. That he was going to have to go on knowing that the only person who saw who he was and decided to love him anyways died. And Badd, who’s still not at his 100% tells him that it would take more to get rid of him. But also in a voice just as quiet let’s him know that he was scared too. In the last fleeting moments of his alertness during that fight, he knew something was wrong. That it was worse than what has ever happened to him. And that he thought of Zenko, that he thought of him. Those were the last thoughts he had before he completely blacked out.
But he pulled through, he’s awake and with the two most important people and while there’s no guarantee that something like this won’t happen again, because he knows his profession and he knows the risks, he’s glad to be there now. They hold each other even later into the night just reveling in the now and not what could’ve been.
Also just saying when Badd is fully healed and probably restless as hell Garou is still there to hold him down lmao.

One Punch Man ship reviews bc I’m bored
WARNING: BIG ONE PUNCH MAN WEBCOMIC AND MANGA SPOILERS
GenoSai: do I even have to say it?? They compliment each other so well and are already besties. They make me so happy and I love their love. Genos literally came into Saitama’s life and brought so much new life and excitement when Saitama thought he’d never get any. Genos gives him love and appreciation all the time and never abandons him. Saitama isn’t connected to his feelings, but he cares about Genos and would do just about anything for him, to keep him safe. Genos constantly teases Saitama and Saitama grumbles and takes it with some banter, Genos is super emotional and Saitama does his best to comfort him, they fucking love shopping together and just hanging out period, they talk about the dumbest shit and somehow they still understand each other with the one brain cell they both share. It takes Genos forever to realize his feelings are deeper and Saitama has to be TOLD by their friends that he should fucking realize his feelings already. Just...I could keep going but I’ll stop! 2718873737839439/10 (let’s not talk about the age gap btw, 6 years isn’t bad and Genos is a legal adult.)
FubuSai: the stereotypical straight ship ppl gravitate to. Eh. I can see it, but at the same time I feel like they don’t completely compliment each other. Are they a hot couple? Duh. But I feel like their pride and communication issues would get in the way. 4/10
TatsuSai: hnghhhh. Someone mentioned this before, can’t remember who, but Saitama literally thinks she’s a child in canon. So that just....makes it gross. Same problems as FubuSai but worse. I’d rather see them as hesitant friends w a weird bond. 0/10
SonSai/SonicSai/idk the ship name: eh, toxic. Cant see them getting past communication issues and pride, again. Plus Sonic wants to kill his ass. Also, I just feel no romantic tension?? Even in fanfic it just falls flat for me. 3/10
MumenSai: a favorite!! Wish I saw it more, it’s very cute. Mumen is so kind and would absolutely be there to help him w self esteem and just help him be a better person period. And Saitama would have a cute little kind guy to tease and open up to. I could maybe see Mumen’s kindness getting on Saitama’s nerves when he’s in a bad mood bc Mumen almost never snaps and Saitama feels shittier, or maybe Mumen being mad at Saitama for being kinda lazy at home while Mumen is working his ass off and he’s like babe I just got home, please stop playing the fucking game and pay attention to me I have a concussion again. Prob too nitpicky on this one, heh, but 8.4/10
Genos x Sonic: wtf? As a crack ship, sure. That’s hilarious. But as a serious ship, 1.3/10 bc I could MAYBE see them bond over their love of my chemical romance or sum.
Anyone x Puri: -128382839287473828739219833468282/10. Fuck Puri.
TatsuKing: eh. Indifferent on this one too. I can see them getting along and Tatsu being the mean but supportive gf in public, but a sweet gf in private. King could be like her calm oasis of video games and sweet blonde shy bf. I sway more towards ace/aro King and queer non binary Tatsu, but this is still good. 6/10
FubuPsy/Fubuki x Psykos/idk: hell yeah!! This series NEEDS more wlw ships, both for me to project onto and to cry over. Prob my fav Fubuki ship, cuz they’ve known each other since they were young and had a tenuous friendship. I didn’t use to ship it until I saw that scene in the wc after the MA arc (u know the one) but here we are. They’re big personalities so any interaction is bound to be chaotic at first, but I really think they’d work. Pride put to the side, Psykos could be someone for Fubuki to finally rely on other than the Blizzard Bunch, someone to confide in, a badass partner to fight monsters with, talk about nothing for hours with, be a super fashionable #girlboss couple with, and someone who would really see her for who she is-especially w Psykos knowledge of her from the past. Hell, Psykos might even know her better than Tatsumaki. Fubuki could be an anchor to her like she currently is in the wc, providing a quiet comfort and making her open up little by little. Would prob be toxic at first bc of the MA arc and their desire for power, but is a very good ship I think. 9/10
Speedal/Sonic x Mumen: an old fav! Sonic would have a hard time not hating Mumen at first bc he’s the picture definition of a hero, sum he hates. But hanging out with him would show him Mumen is a GOOD guy genuinely and he’d be like ohhhh shit I’m in love w this man. Mumen would thoroughly appreciate someone to make him live a little, break some rules and stand up to ppl when they talk over him. He’d DEFINITELY be upset when finding out Sonic is an assassin, but would prob be conflicted bc he knows Sonic is a good person despite that. Would prob make Sonic give up on killing for them to be together. Sucks bc of the assassin thing and bc they haven’t met in canon! So we’re not sure how they’d interact with each other, sigh. 7.4/10
Okamaitachi x Bushidrill: a very underrated ship! To be clear, I headcanon Kama as a trans woman and so does most of the fandom. Anyway, very sweet and already built as a friendship bc of their partnership under Atomic Samurai. I can’t remember who writes fic and makes art of them on tumblr but AAAAA it’s so good! Very sweet. Basically depicted Bushi as a nervous himbo who’s honest about his feelings but scared to say them and Kama as a sweet lady who’s crazy about Bushi. Very sweet. Want more of them!! 6.1/10
OneZon/Zombieman x One Shotter: never even thought of the ship till I saw @megidolan art work! Very wholesome, and from what little we know of Shotter we know he’s a sort of nervous yet strong willed guy, and Zombieman would totally help him calm down bc he’s so chill. I could see them sharing cigarettes and talking shit on heroes while cuddling u know? 7/10 only because I don’t see enough of it but very good concept.
Mumarou/Mumen x Garou: a lot of ppl are gonna hate me for this but....I don’t like it. I’ve tried! I just—idk. I’ve read so many good fics about them that make me like it a bit, but the concept is just eh. I think their relationship is, in most reps, really cliche angsty stuff. I wish I could elaborate I just...gah! Basically, there’s better ships for the both of them imo. Sorry!! 4.3/10
Sonic x Flashy/SonFlash: yes!! Prob my fav Sonic ship. They have soooo much tension, it’s almost worse than Genos’ tension w Saitama. Flashy LITERALLY poisoned Sonic so that he wouldn’t be forced to kill him at the ninja graduation. He cares. They’ll never say it out loud, but they care. They have someone who understands what they went through in each other and someone they’re both so similar to, yet so different from. Sonic is more vocal about his expressions and let’s people know it while Flashy often keeps things to himself, they could really influence the other to be more this or that. I could see a lot of comfort with these two, and not much is needed for relationship development; they already have so much unspoken between them after meeting for the first time in years. Love it. Wish I saw it more! 10/11
KingSai: wonderful! Out of the few ppl Saitama is close to, def my second fav pick for a ship for him. There’s a post saying how Saitama doesn’t cut King off when he’s going on rants about games and stuff bc he’s talking TO Saitama, not at him like Genos tends to do on accident. They’re already great buddies! Saitama could find a shy gamer man who he can talk to about manga and stuff and also a passionate bf who could break out of his shell w Saitama and be himself with no lies. King can have someone to protect him, duh, someone who finally understands his weird sense of humor, and someone to shower him in the love and kindness he deserves when Saitama is in the mood to be all out like that w his affections. Plus he’s Saitama’s anchor and brings him back down when he’s super anxious and depressed and tells him what’s up that he needs to fix without sugarcoating it. Would def have a bunch of inside jokes and go on dates that are just staying inside playing video games all night. Domestic af. 10/10
Fubuki x Mizuki: my first wlw Fubuki ship! Hard to find but very good. Mizuki is this big ball of kindness, energy, and raw power that would make Fubuki go ‘Ohhhhhhh, big pretty lady make brain go brrr.’ I could see Mizuki grounding Fubuki when she’s in over her head, giving her random gifts bc she saw sum and thought of her, doing a marathon run and wildly waving at Fubuki in the crowd, and all around being a dependable woman confident in herself and in love with a mysterious esper. Prob a little shy when it comes to anything physical bc she loves Fubuki so much and is overwhelmed by the realness of being w her. Fubuki gives Mizuki advice on ‘acting like a proper hero’ or whatever and though Mizuki thinks she doesn’t need it, Fubuki still helps her a lot w her career and being taken more seriously by others. Would give Mizuki someone who loves her for who she is and would go wild on her in private when she can be open about her affection, would be someone Mizuki could exercise with and listen intently to Mizuki’s physical knowledge, and would absolutely bandage her when she’s all banged up. Hnghh love this ship. It’s only behind the FubuPsy ship juuuuust a little bc they haven’t met in canon so we can’t be sure about their interactions and stuff. 8.8/10, I love WOMEN
Batarou: how could I go this far without mentioning them?! They have SOOOO much tension in the centichoro fight, like come on. Both snarky assholes who are huge softies one the inside, Badd being the more logical one (still a himbo, tho) and Garou being the more chaotic one. Probably take forever to admit their feelings bc they’re so prideful and stupid <3 flirt through constant wrestling matches and it takes Genos saying ‘they should kiss already, they’re getting on his nerves’ for them to finally realize what’s up. (@rayadraws has a great au where Garou Genos and Badd are a chaotic friend squad and Genos is the only brain of the group, haha. Very good au y’all check it out!) Would constantly pick on each other affectionately and switch into concerned SO when the other is hurt like the big teddy bears they are. Raise Zenko together for sure. Garou would fumble being romantic and Badd would find it both hilarious and cute. 11/12
Zombie mask/Amai x Zombieman:
So. I don’t like Amai Mask and I used to hate him, BUT the webcomic and fic have really helped me calm down on him (he’s still a dick tho), so it’s easier to want to ship him and stuff. Bc of Amai’s anger issues and controlling behavior, I could see this relationship being super toxic and icky—but I think they have some form of understanding that pulls Amai back from being a complete dick, you know? Start off as fuck buddies and slowly form something else from spending companionable time together other than screwing. Zombieman pulls Amai back from his angry fits and soothes him over with his logic. Talk maaaaaad shit about heroes, but only when they’re alone because Zombieman knows Amai will talk loud af about the heroes they’re roasting and Zombie doesn’t wanna stop a fight from happening. Zombieman loves making Amai flustered and has a secret check list in his head of all the things that get Amai red faced. Loves to listen to Amai rant about things for hours and loves to watch his face go through almost cartoon like expressions as he talks. He won’t admit it, but Zombie loves to be spoiled by Amai’s shit tons of cash and often takes rides in Amai’s limos when he wants to smoke and think to himself. Amai has a hard time realizing how his feelings have changed, but gets hit hard with it when he wakes up to Zombie making them breakfast one morning while wearing Amai’s underwear. Amai also loves to spoil Zombie and takes him out to restaurants and buys him cool new weapons on the weekends. @batneko has pretty much gotten me into this ship and I strongly suggest looking at their works! 7.9/10
DemonKnight/Genos x Zero/Drive Knight: I’m pretty sure this used to be a crack ship before the past like 10 manga chapters—and now here we are! Not a fav bc 1. ZERO LEFT GENOS TO SELF DESTRUCT AFTER THEY COMBINED TO FORM THE FUCKING JET HE WAS JUST LIKE lol bye SO LIKE if he left him to die that’s super hard for me to forgive and ship grrr 2. Disregarding the manga’s canon and looking at the wc, while I love the little trip they went on where Zero demonstrated his abilities and helped Genos kill monsters, it’s super sus. He knew alllll of this info on Metal Knight and was super supportive and understanding when Genos said he needed time to think. Like,,,what are his intentions? We know so little about him—is he trying to trick Genos or was he being sincere? THAT STUFF ASIDE, they’re a really fun ship. They’re both huge fucking nerds and can keep up with their talk on robotics for hours, they’re both cyborgs so they understand each other’s pain, and they’re both super cool and angsty. I think they could really settle into a deep bond that can go platonic or romantic, just depends. Genos needs more ppl in his life so hell yeah! Plus, he can really let go with Zero bc they don’t have that teacher/student relationship and Zero, if he’s really a sincere and kind guy like in the wc, can be there for Genos and listen to him. Don’t have much to say on this ship other than @wellthisisembarrassing makes GORGEOUS art of them! 6.3/10
Webuiko/Suiko x Webigaza: YEAH I KNOW THEY HAVENT INTERACTED IN CANON AND WE DONT KNOW MUCH ABOUT THEM BUT HEAR ME OUT. Webigaza—cool af determined cyborg idol who’s surprisingly down to earth when talking with Child Emperor. Suiko—sassy and honest fighter who doesn’t take shit and is very passionate. Suiko would go to talk to Web then immediately freak out bc aaaa she’s way prettier than she thought, she can’t do this! Web would have to gently encourage Suiko to talk and at first is like ‘ah man, must be an adoring fan, ugh I’m so tired. At least she’s hot’ but when Suiko snaps out of her shyness Web is like oh! She’s super cool wtf. Always bump into each other during fights and help each other get fixed up, Suiko using her muscle power to lift Web’s pieces (and give Web a great view of Suiko’s muscles holy SHIT) and Web would patch Suiko up. Not to be stereotypical, but they’re def a masc/femme couple. I love the idea of this ship soooo much and I really hope they interact! 6.6/10 only bc they haven’t met 😭😭😭 look them up on here! There’s some great art of them by a few blogs
Dr. Kuseno x Bang: pretty sure @baldyborg came up with this one! Super cute. Just two old dudes finding a nice friendship in each other, maybe after Bang helps carry Genos to Kuseno’s after a day of fighting. Bang would find Kuseno to be a very cute little nerd man and would be sooo impressed by Kuseno’s mad scientist skills. Kuseno would be super impressed when seeing Bang in action too. They’d prob talk as soon as they meet each other and Genos would be in the background like you guys it’s been an hour, please fix me I’m on the verge of death 🧍🏻Bang would give Kuseno advice on training techniques to teach Genos and advice on making his bodies more martial arts ready or sum, meanwhile Kuseno would give his take on how to be kinder to Garou so that Bang would learn to repair the relationship with a gentleness he’s seemingly lacking (yes I’m talking about the chapter where he and Garou start fighting and Bang is just not doing enough to reach out to Garou, he’s being a callous old man! So yeah I’m still mad about that). Genos and Saitama would prob be out on a date and Saitama would be like oh theres Bang, wonder what he’s doing? Then Kuseno would walk up and kiss Bang and Genos and Sai would be shocked like SIRS 👬 Genos would tell Bang he doesn’t need another adoptive dad and Bang would be like....ok.... I see them retiring in a cottage together and Bang would become a huge softie. Yes I’m actively ignoring chapter 141 of the wc, shut up. 7.6/10
TankTop master x Mumen: they have a nice friendship going on in the manga right now! Just bros supporting bros. Tank is the picture definition of a muscly himbo and Mumen is his cute passionate bf. Also workout buddies af!! Don’t have much to say other than pretty good ship, just not a fav. 5.2/10
To sum it up—
GenoSai: 2718873737839439/10, Batarou: 11/12, SonFlash: 10/11, KingSai: 10/10, FubuPsy: 9/10, Fubuki x Mizuki: 8.8/10, MumenSai: 8.4/10, ZombieMask: 7.9/10, Dr. Kuseno x Bang: 7.6/10, Speedal: 7.4/10, OneZon: 7/10, Webuiko: 6.6/10, DemonKnight: 6.3/10, Okamaitachi x Bushidrill: 6.1/10, TatsuKing: 6/10, TankTop Master x Mumen: 5.2/10, Mumarou: 4.3/10, FubuSai: 4/10, SonSai: 3/10, Genos x Sonic: 1.3/10, TatsuSai: 0/10, anyone x Puri: -1283828319833468282/10
If there’s any ships I left out, it’s bc I don’t know them, don’t wanna talk about them, or just don’t have an opinion strong enough. Also, I know there are some poly ships like Genos x Saitama x Fubuki, but I’ve read only one fic about that (it was pretty good, here’s the link https://archiveofourown.org/works/5406992 ) so I don’t feel like talking about it. Hope no ones offended! All my opinion here :)

Behind the strenght (losing is normal)
Since the begining of OPM ONE has written about strenght. Mostly, by taking it away through Saitama.
There are many villains in the first few chapters, and all of them have something in common: once stripped of their strenght, there is nothing. They are empty. Those who do survive give up in whatever it is they were doing as soon as they realize they are not strong, when Saitama is in front of them (Sonic would be the exception. More on him later).
Then ONE rises the question: What if the heroes are stripped of their strenght by the villains? And to answer it, we get the Sea kings arc.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(I couldn’t find the double spread)
There is something, something great, that shines even without strength.
But this does not fully answer the question. Neither does Genos tenacity through the series. Because these two are well aware that losing is normal.
And the opposite is also true. Every villain so far has been completely convinced of teir own invincivility, and it was crushed by Saitama.
So ONE moves to answer these questions. What if heores who are convinced of their own invincivility are stripped of their stregth? What if the villains are aware that losing is normal?
For the first question, ONE can’t really use Saitama. Saitama loses, plenty and often, in circumstances where his strenght is irrelevant. He is also aware that this is normal, and these defeats might cause some initial annoyance, but are quickly swept under the rug.
So ONE enters the S-class heroes, most of whom are in an extremely long winning streak, so that he can get an answer to the first question. And to answer the second, we get the monster association... and Garou.
The monster association is the simpler group. They are a bunch of tremendously strong and proud monsters that realized that, for all their strength, they would eventually lose by themselves. So they allied together, in a thin partnership that was destined to die quickly.
Garou is something else. He is aware that there are many heroes stronger than him, but he pushes forward, even when he is weaker, and he keeps going and becoming stronger through his efforts until Saitama figures him out and exposes the flaws in his logic.
And the S class heroes... are a big topic.
Tumblr media
There are many of them, and the reactions to their first defeat in a long time are very different.
Tatsumaki keeps on biting. There is no denergy spent in thinking “this can’t be happening”. She keeps on attacking until she literally can’t stay concious because she doesn’t know anything else.
Silverfang has been defeated before, but his inability to deal with Garou hit much worse. So much that he retired as a hero.
Atomic Samurai is lost. The manga added the loss of his friends to his overwhelming defeat, and while he initially thinks of challanging strong opponents after the battle, he decides that he is leagues below King, and decides to redo his training from scratch in order to improve.
Child emperor loses faith in others and himself, and starts acting on his own, believing that his words can’t help others and that others can’t help him.
Zombieman realizes that being invulnerable himself doesn’t mean much if he is also powerless to help those who aren’t, so he decides to give a chance to doctor Genus.
Pig god is completely unfazed. After losing to Gums and getting a chance to flee, he goes help a bunch of people who need it, and continues to do hero work as usual in the very next day. I’m sure that he is aware that losing is normal, and this isn’t his first defeat.
Darkshine gets hit the worst. After a first mental breakdown, PPP and Sweet mask get him back up, only to break down again the instant things go wrong. His decision to retire afterwards is only logical, given his condition.
Flashy flash (much like Sonic) somehow convinces himself that his defeat is unrelated to his strength. It is impressive, in a way.
PPP is already used to defeat. He started to change after the sea king arc.
The reactions of tanktop master and metal bat are manga exclusive, and I am anticipating those.
Right now, in the current arc, the executives of the hero association are learning that losing is normal. The neo heroes will soon do the same.
Lets see how they respond to the lesson.

What if Garou falls in love with a Saitama's friend? In my head, she is 18 and she is studying to become a nurse (sorry if it's too specific 👉🏻👈🏻). P. S. yours is my favorite blog! 🤩
No need to apologize. I actually needed you to be more specific. 😭 I kind of switched it up so that he found out about their friendship after falling for her, instead of knowing about it the whole time. I hope that’s okay with you anon! ❤️🥺 And thank you
Garou Falling In Love With Saitama’s Friend (Headcanons with Dialogue)
Tumblr media
— Normally, Garou dislikes when random civilians try rushing to his aid after witnessing him staggering through town all bloody and beat up. Whenever they'd beg him to go to the hospital or ask a bunch of questions, he’d harshly warn them to “fuck off”. But not everyone can take no for an answer...
“Please, let me help you.”, She pleaded, her eyes roaming all over his bloodsoaked clothes. Garou tried to walk ahead of her but she easily kept up with his sluggish pace, “My house is nearby and I have plenty of medical supplies for your injuries.”
He gritted his teeth, clearly fed up with all the blabbering. He didn’t have enough energy to sprint away from the crazy girl, his only option was to keep wandering around until he found refuge, and that’s if he didn’t pass out from all the blood loss first, “Didn’t your parents ever tell you not to talk to strangers?”
She didn’t even flinch at the bitterness laced in his voice, “Well you see, I'm actually studying to become a nurse and I just can't walk away knowing you're in this condition.”
Garou abruptly turned to her, his calm aura suddenly flaring dangerously. A sinister smirk tugged at his lips, “Really? Then would you walk away if I told you I was the one who beat up Tank Top Master and the rest of his punk ass brothers?”
Her eyes widened at his threatening tone and she took a single step backward, obviously startled by the turn of events. Garou’s smirk only spread at her reaction. No one was stupid enough to help a wanted criminal. She was going to run—
“What you do in your spare time is none of my concern.”, She unexpectedly stared back into his golden eyes, “My only job is to help you.”
It seemed his efforts to scare her away only made her more committed to treating his injuries. His shoulders slumped in defeat.
There really was no other choice.
— During his stay with the upcoming nurse, Garou insisted on stitching and bandaging his own wounds. He only intended to stick around until he made a full recovery, and this minor inconvenience would be long forgotten once he went back to hunting.
— Well, at least that was the plan until she slowly started to grow on him. Day after day, she would offer help, knowing he’d stubbornly refuse it, and he just couldn’t figure out why. Not once did she ever get angry and try to kick him out. Even after he revealed what he did for a living, there wasn't any hint of judgment in her eyes.
— When the time came for Garou to take his leave, he came back a week later, expecting to be patched up like before. This continued for months, and he eventually fell for her.
— But oh man, the betrayal Garou felt when he spotted his precious nurse walking around with some skinny, bald guy who looked to be a hero. Garou nearly exploded as he watched them stroll down the neighborhood, casually chatting amongst themselves. His thoughts were swirling out of control. What were they talking about? Was she trying to set him up? Who was that guy and why did he have such a stupid, blank expression?
— Whatever the case was, Garou was pissed. Without a moment's hesitation, he rushed over with a murderous intent, his slender hands ready to attack Saitama.
— And that was the last thing he remembered before falling unconscious...
Garou wasn't the least bit happy with waking back up in the comforts of her home. There was something about this whole situation that just didn't sit right with him.
“Tell me, does this hero know you're letting the famous Hero Hunter visit your house whenever he wants?”, there was a tinge of jealousy hidden in his voice, “Aren't you deceiving your little friend?”
“My business with Saitama has nothing to do with you.”, she replied smoothly, even as he intimidatingly hovered over her tiny figure.
He inched closer, forcing her innocent eyes to lock with his fierce ones, “Why go through the trouble of helping me? And don't give me that ‘I'm a nurse’ bullshit either.”
“Because.”, She paused momentarily, “I know you’re not the evil monster you so desperately set yourself out to be.”
He only scoffed at her foolish beliefs, “You're too naive, sweetheart. Whatever image of me you have in your head, get rid of it.”
With that being said, Garou completely turned away from her, his muscular back retreating towards the door.
Realizing he might not ever return again, she called out, “Garou!”, but he didn’t listen.
He was gone before she even had the chance to chase after him.
thank u for reading!
i just can’t see Garou trusting someone who is friends with a hero. I'm sorry it turned out kind of sad but I really want my headcanons to stay true to Garou’s personality.
AND YES I STOLE THE SCENE FROM WHEN GAROU TRIED TO RUN UP ON SAITAMA AND KING LMAO

A Tale of Two Goals
One of the things that surprised and puzzled me for a long time about the way the Saitama and Garou fight had ended was why Saitama had branded Garou's goals as half-assed and accused the latter of taking 'the easy way out.'  Most trenchantly, he said 'after all, all you had to do was defeat heroes.'
Looking at how tough it was for Garou to push himself, breaking past limit after limit, until he was hideously strong,  I could see how he was misguided.  But taking the easy way out?  What gave?
It finally all came to me in a rush.  And comes down to the goal that Garou had.
Tumblr media
A: Just a little further...
Before I go into this,  I'm going to ask you to forget anything and everything you may know about 'Boku no Hero Academia.'  It's a fine series, but it's its own story with different premises, principles, characters and development.  A lot of needless confusion arises when people misunderstand just how superficial the similarities are.  Let's go on.
Fundamentally, Garou wanted to stand for the oppressed and downtrodden, which is a pretty heroic goal.  However, he wanted to do it by scaring people straight.  His goal was to become The Symbol of Fear.   This is important to keep in mind.   The manga has done a very nice little expansion of what he means by it.  Even drunkards are to be scared straight by the reign of terror he would like to unleash on the world.
Tumblr media
His approach to becoming the Symbol of Fear was to attack heroes.  It was straightforward enough.  All he had to do was beat the twenty or so strongest heroes in the world to declare himself the Symbol of Fear.  Why heroes?
1.  IT IS NOT BECAUSE THEY ARE STRONG.  Sorry for the emphasis, but it’s important.  One thing we've learned in OPM, particularly in the manga, is that there is no shortage of strong people.  In the webcomic we've had to wait until chapter 106, well after the Hero Hunter arc to be introduced to the idea of there being a pool of really strong people, but the manga brings this up with the Super Fight arc and then builds on it further [link]. As Genos muses, there are many people as strong, if not stronger than heroes who don't use that power in a heroic way.
And Garou knows where to find them.  After leaving Bang's dojo,  he went to the previous Super Fight and won the tournament handily.   He went and busted many dojos in the six months before he formally declared war on the Hero Association.  But fighting strong people in and of itself is utterly meaningless to his goal. Strong people like fighting each other for whatever reason, money, pride, testosterone.  Whatever.  Being the strongest man fighting regular men means nothing to the general populace. Garou had to attack heroes specifically.
Tumblr media
2. HEROES ARE LEGITIMATELY GOOD IN OPM.  Garou is the opposite of Stain.  Get any and all bullshit about heroes in OPM being hypocritical and somehow deserving of being punished out of your head.  Leave it in BNHA.  The heroes Garou beats up have individually and collectively saved hundreds of thousands of people.  We've seen it with our own eyes, heroes throw themselves at monsters to save people, even if the situation isn't going to go for the hero.  Not just Mumen Rider, but far, far more than that.  The Tank Toppers people love to hate on?  The experiences of the patients in the large hospital monsters invaded was that these guys forced themselves out of their hospital beds to protect them.
In fact, let's put some numbers on this.  A large hospital has upwards of 500 beds, with three times as many people present as outpatients, staff, and visitors. Many bedridden patients cannot be moved.  We learn that 5,000 people were in the shelter the Deep Sea King attacked.  A stadium, such as the one Amai Mask sang at, 25 - 30,000 people.  City Z and its environs will have upwards of a million people.  For all these people, their personal experience is that but for the heroes present at the time, most of them would be dead. And it's not just about big numbers. The manga has further been able to show us that heroes, almost to a man (Metal Knight is the exception), value every life.  They will save anyone.
Tumblr media
Even the 'lesser' heroes, the ones who can't fight monsters, we've seen for ourselves that they've gone in to bring people out of situations too dangerous for the rescue services to operate in.   Far too many people have been directly saved by heroes, or have had a friend, family or acquaintance saved by a hero, or know of someone who has for any idea of heroes not being worthy to stick.
The trust that heroes have built up over the years isn't due to the Hero Association. It isn’t due to marketing. Not due to press coverage. None of that matters.  It's due to hundreds and thousands of lives saved by hundreds of painstaking, unflagging efforts, often in the teeth of great suffering.  Heroes may be human and flawed, but they are legitimately symbols of hope in OPM.  And thus it is that attacking and crushing them kills that hope and spreads fear.  Let me put it another way: if heroes were not legitimately good in OPM, then Garou would have no reason to attack them.  Garou is not policing heroes, looking for the worthy or unworthy. Indeed, the better the hero, the more valuable a target they are for him.
Tumblr media
Putting it together, this is why Saitama castigates Garou so roundly.  Garou wants peace. He wants global recognition and the impact to create this peace. Which are good things. However,  instead of building it by painstakingly working on creating it by good work, he looked to capitalise on the hard work heroes had done and create fear through notoriety.  It's quick!  It's easy, certainly a lot easier than doing hero work. It's effortful, but it's not hard. It's a very distinct, limited and specific goal. All he has to do is beat the twenty strongest heroes and then announce himself as the greatest monster whom all should fear.
That it wouldn't be an actually useful or helpful thing to do, isn't something Garou thought too much about. Thankfully, he couldn't beat one hero, the hero called Saitama, who has challenged him to get an actual worthwhile goal and do better next time, one that is helpful and authentic to what he truly wants to be. Which is actually to be a hero.  We wait to see what Garou comes back with.
Tumblr media
B: ...So far to go yet
Phew! That's quite long!  And I'd have ended it here if it weren't for my good friend @the-nysh, who has listened patiently to too many of my half-formed rants and suggested that I look at Genos too.
So, look at the picture above.  See over in the right corner?  There's a guy who's slumped over like a broken puppet.  If he seems to be listening intently to Saitama's lecture, that's because he is.
At this point, Genos had come to the realisation that he'd made a similar mistake to Garou, one that looks much harder to set right.  A little earlier in the evening, he'd had an epiphany that getting rid of his human body and reaching for body modification as a quick and easy route to power was anything but.  The despair on his face is one for the ages.  What next, ah we'll have to see.
Tumblr media
That said, one of the interesting things that is happening with the manga is that ONE isn't holding his characters artificially static to match their development in the webcomic.  They've done more, so they've developed more.  A fuller look at all the different characters who have progressed more in manga than webcomic has got to wait for another day.  In the manga, Genos has gotten a higher goal than just find and kill the mad cyborg.  Long term he's set his eyes on becoming the Symbol of Strength.
Tumblr media
Hoo hoo, let's unpack that one!  It's definitely not a nice, neat goal. There are three necessary parts to it.
First, you have to be able to beat everything and we do mean everything.  Any monster, any person, any threat. Not a bunch of heroes.  Anything. Everything.  No mistakes, no excuses. If it threatens people, you have to be able to save them from it.  The requirement to seek strength is if anything even more imperative than it has been to date.
The second part is that you can't declare yourself to be the Symbol of Strength.  It's like calling yourself honest -- no one believes you, whereas if other people attest to your honesty, then you're considered it.  Being seen as the symbol of strength is a reputation built up slowly, by being consistently there and making the difference when it matters, so that people know that they *can* run to you and feel safe behind you because their experience is that you will use your power to end their oppression.   Protecting people is something that we do find out is truly important to Genos, at least as important as getting vengeance.  While he castigates himself for falling short, the truth is, Genos hasn't been doing too badly that way in the manga. Between the Deep Sea King debacle and Elder Centipede, he’s actually protected people extremely well. [I apologise, anime-only viewers, JC Staff edited out crowds whenever they could, so you missed the fact that Genos successfully both protected people while killing monsters with the G-4 robot and in City C. You also missed that he's learned to resist being distracted by people, the mistake that had cost him so dearly with the Deep Sea King and with Mosquito Girl in Season 1.]
That said, going up against monsters for whom ‘cyborg’ is a synonym for ‘tinned human’ (only no one remembers to pack a tin opener) and dealing with a public whose gratitude lasts no longer than a mosquito’s life are nothing compared to the third hurdle. The third one is the doozy: you can't become the Symbol of Strength while being a less than. If Genos is serious, at some point he will need to come from under Saitama's shadow and shine with his own light that borrows nothing from Saitama's own. Not easy when he’s got an obsessive admiration for and is psychologically over-dependent on Saitama.  He will also need to break out from the frame that Kuseno has cast him in.  All while having the very real handicap of being a cyborg and thus having real physical and financial dependency on the old man at least.  Attaining a healthy independence from both people is an absolute must.
This is going to be some long-ass drama. Not that I'm complaining -- as long as the story has things to say, it's not going to end too quickly. :D No decisive set-piece battle will attain this goal for him.  It’s a long hard road to becoming the best person and hero you can be and we have no idea how far Genos will get, but it’s a most worthwhile journey. And if there’s any one thing we know about this guy, it’s that he’s damn serious about whatever he does.
Tumblr media
C: Wrapping up
If I were going to wrap up what these long-term goals (aspirations?) look like, it’d be this:  Authentic to what you really value.  No shortcuts.  Actually helps the world.  Makes a better person of you.
Oh, and it’s not easy.  You’ll need a lot of courage to see it through.
I wait to see how these two guys get on.

Hullo! I’ve had my thoughts on the Shitty Teen Squad lately, and I was curious: how badly do you think Garou and Badd tease and poke at Genos for his obvious love of Saitama? I can only imagine it gets to the point where Genos seriously considers murder, lmaooo
Oh my god, for SURE.
- They refer to all and any eggs as ”sensei”. Breakfast buffet? Garou, scandalized, yelling at Badd that ”you ate sensei, how could you?!”
- Teasing Genos for having a master/student kink
- Giving him a bunch of ”advice” on how to woo Saitama (it’s not very good or useful advice)
- Somehow, getting hold of Caped Baldy merch (like one of those crooked phone charms maybe) and whatever piece of Demon Cyborg merch and creating dramatic scenes full of love proclamations until Genos is ready to tear them apart
- Making bets with each other re who will make the first move etc. Other heroes find out via Badd and it turns into a huge thing involving half the S-ranks and various heroes in the other ranks.
- Of course the above only spurrs them on to make something actually happen so they start reading up on actual relationship advice and trying to help Genos, who at this point is Highly Suspicious of what they’re trying to achieve

So by this point there's an absolute ton of Neo Geo games on the eShop. I'm a big fan of obscure old fighting games so I've wound up with half of the fighting games they've released so far. I feel like I don't see enough love for these games on this sub so I wanted to rank out my favorites and recommend em. I only have 7/14 and plan on getting Fatal Fury Special soonish, but most of the other ones I've skipped out on are different versions of King of Fighters or whatever, that said if I passed on anything great let me know!Starting with the worst of the bunch: Galaxy Fight: Universal WarriorsThis one's just bad... It's one of the earliest of the bunch and you can really feel it.Pros:Good graphics (this is what lured me in on the eshop)The characters, the cast is pretty unique due to the space setting, sadly they're not in a better game.Cons:My god it's so clunky. There's only one bar, and it's the health bar. This game has no supers. The Neo Geo only had 5 face buttons if you count start. Most of these games assign taunting to start. This one doesn't, so besides only having 3 buttons for attacking unlike all the others one of the face buttons will lock your character in place for a few seconds. Perfect.I really wish this game was good, of the group it's the only one I regret buying. I basically only bring it out as "the bad one" between the other games. Skip it unless you're dead set on catchin' em all.Next up: World Heroes PerfectSo this one is actually ok. It's another early one so it's a bit clunky but that's ok. This one has 3 punches and kicks unlike most, and every character has a unique action that ranges from shrinking your opponent or catching a projectile to throw it back.Pros:Interesting roster based on historical figures (and some fictional characters). One of the only 2 so far that let you change your character between rounds.Cons:Kinda clunky. The graphics aren't great. All in all I'd recommend this one if you're ok with something that's a little weird and a little clunky.Samurai Shodown IVThis one's pretty neat. Roster is nicely varied, all the characters feel pretty unique. Everyone has 2 move sets as well because of the Slash/Bust mechanic. Every character uses a different weapon which they drop when hit with certain moves, unhanded fighting is cool though ineffective. There's a cool swooce behind opponent move and a disarming counter that every character can use and it's pretty neat. Instead of 2 punches and 2 kicks, there's 3 slashes and 1 kick which is interesting.Pros:The universal dodge and counter moves feel good to use.Good roster.???s:The damage seems all over the place? It seems like a lot of the time a regular slash is going to do a lot more damage than your projectile. Not necessarily bad but it's something I noticed.Cons:Graphics are a little sloppy, but for the most part the characters look fine.Extra Tidbits:You can kill yourself by doing back, forward, down, start, I mostly end up doing it as a joke but it does actually fill up your rage bar in the next round. If you push start 3 times you'll taunt and drop your weapon, good if you wanna fight unarmed anyway.I'm not sure which of these next 2 are better, but King of Fighters 2000 just came out so I haven't played it as much yet so it's here. It's King of Fighters, you know what you're getting for the most part. The only real problem I have with KoF is that I feel like the 3v3 rounds drag on too long, luckily you can change it to 1v1s. 2000 added in the striker feature that lets you call in other fighters MvC style for an attack a few times per match. The roster is huge at 35 characters, but you have double the options for strikers (a lot of em from other SNK games).Pros:Striker system is coolThe option to choose between 3v3 teams and 1v1s is great. This is the other game that lets you change your character between rounds.Cons:Having to input the code to play as Kula EVERY TIMEWho's Kula? She's the cutie with blue hair you can see on the thumbnail on the eShop, and if you expected her to be playable, you'd be right, but since she's a secret character you'll unfortunately have to put in a code on character select anytime you wanna play as her.The code has you press start while highlighting 6 characters in a specific order (Whip, Vanessa, Seth, Maxima, K', Random) then press up then down. For your convenience here's the quickest input: starting from Whip: start, down, start, left, start, right x 3, start, right, start, right, start, up, down after that she should show up under Random. Have fun doing that every time.King of Fighters '98Its King of Fighters, you know what you're getting for the most part. Like I said, it's 3v3 but you can change it to 1v1s. The roster sits at 38, making it the biggest on the list. Despite many of the characters being the same between '98 and 2000 there's characters unique to both and even characters who are in both have some different moves (which really messed up my Ralf going from 98 to 2000). There's really not too much to complain about here y'know?Pros:Huge roster.Choice between 3v3 and 1v1.Cons:The win screen art kinda sucks? Idk I'm reaching here there's not much wrong here.Honestly it's a toss up between this or 2000 for me, apparently this one is well regarded though. Oh yeah, I should probably mention that the in game manual for the KoF games are pretty half assed, there's so many characters that they wind up leaving out a lot of moves so you're better off looking up a guide for those.Waku Waku 7This is the good shit right here.Waku Waku 7 was one of the first Neo Geo games they slapped on the eShop and I got it back then and kinda hated it. "There's only 7 characters? Gross" is probably what I said, but I went back to it with a friend after getting some more controllers and it's a blast! There's so many moves that eat meter in this game it's insane, your special moves can all be powered up into supers by pushing both buttons, and you can power up into super mode by mashing all the face buttons at once. Every character also has EX attacks and Hara Hara attacks, EX being your standard fighting game super and the Hara Hara move very blatantly announcing itself while charging before blasting off an incredibly strong unblockable. Strong moves can send your opponent flying across the screen and if they kick off of the wall they'll come flying back, it's very chaotic. The graphics are so bright and colorful, probably the best of the bunch, and the character designs are all pretty cool too. Again, the fact that there's only 7 characters really hurts here. There are 2 boss characters who are playable in the home release, but unfortunately they're not playable in this arcade version.Pros:So much fun to play.Best graphics of the bunch imo.Top notch characters.Cons:Only 7 characters, smallest roster on the list.If you passed on this one for some reason I highly recommend it!And finally: Garou: Mark of the WolvesThis games a dang masterpiece, probably. Everything in this game feels great, supers are easy to pull off and feel devastating, specials are flashy and impressive and T.O.P moves are neat too. The T.O.P system lets you choose a section of your health bar to be powered up during, and defending at the right time can let you regen health too. For how simple the game seems there's a lot going on here when you dig a little deeper. The graphics are great, there's some sick pixel art on display here. Roster is a good size and even has 2 extra hidden characters you can play as. I don't really have as much to say about this one, it's just really really good.Pros:Very good game feel.Good sized roster.Very good graphics.Extra Tidbits:Wanna play as Grant? Hold Start while highlighting Dong Hwan and press up, up, down, down, up, down.Wanna play as Kain? Hold Start while highlighting Jae Hoon and press down, down, up, up, down, up. (Way easier than Kula, huh?)Just buy it, even if you're not interested in any other Neo Geo titles, if you like fighting games you probably won't regret it.Well that's it for now I guess. I'll probably do another one of these once the Neo Geo games stop popping up on the eShop. Hopefully this has been a good use of my time seeing as how there's not too much talk about these games on here and I feel like you might be missing out if you ignore them entirely. If I missed any good ones be sure to let me know!Bonus shout-out to Magical Drop 2, it's not at all a fighting game but it's the only other Neo Geo game I have so far. If your friend group likes Puyo Puyo Tetris at all this might not be a bad addition to your library. It's a really fast paced color matcher and its pretty frantic and fun. via /r/NintendoSwitch

Some opm fanfic ideas I’ve come up with thatIwishIcouldwrite ._.
1. Therapy! Maybe a bunch of heroes are pushed into taking therapy by the HA for legal reasons and it’s SO angst filled, what with Genos’ depressing past, Fubuki’s inferiority complex, Saitama’s depression, Metal Bat feeling pressure to be a good caretaker for Zenko, etc. Hey maybe in a Garou redemption take he ends up there too, taking in his childhood trauma. And everyone’s arguing like SHUT THE FUCK UP MY PAIN IS REAL and throwing stuff, meanwhile Saitama sits with Mumen (who I see needing physical therapy more than therapy therapy but coming there anyway to support heroes) and they drink tea and talk. Maybe eventually it mellows out and they can (sometimes) put their pride away to talk their stuff out, but Garou SWEARS he will kill anyone who talks shit on him!
2. Genos decides he can’t take it anymore and leaves to go find the Mad Cyborg cuz he knows he just can’t get strong like Saitama, even tho he doesn’t want to leave him. This has been done a bunch in fic BUT I rarely see any where Saitama goes with him! And maybe they like, go on adventures to get there and maybe over them, they grow closer, learn to speak to each other more, Genosai pining etc etc. oh and lots of camping together. When I imagine the end I always see like, either they find it and Genos almost dies but Saitama’s like no, we can do this TOGETHER and they punch it together, or a really emotional one where they find the cyborg’s corpse and Genos breaks down but admits he’s almost relieved, and yeah idk what else.
3. AA ok so I have three very self indulgent Au’s, I’ve talked about one on here and it’s kinda lame but I love the idea. K so, there’s this scene in A Star is Born with lady Gaga where she sings la vie en rose in a drag bar and when her and the main guy meet eyes they just!!instant attraction. So yeah my idea was that but Genos is a new drag queen at a drag bar owned by Fubuki and Saitama is a taffy puller at a candy shop (idk why I chose candy) with King and Mumen and Saitama goes to the bar for the first time cuz they’re promoting their candy there. And yeah lol it’s Genosai again, they start to hang out in and out of drag bars and for Genos, in and out of Genny, his dragsona (tho Genoko is way better now that I think about it). He has trust issues cuz shitty past etc and Fubuki takes him under her wing and they’re friends and she gives him advice. Oh and Sonic is a drag queen too, him and Genos are rivals, Tatsumaki owns a more popular bar and her and Fubuki have that sister rivalry, Garou and Badd work there as bouncers and mess with Genos all the time bc I love Shitty Teen Squad. Mizuki is a bouncer too :0 Also there’s Mizuki x Fubuki and Garou x Badd. Sonic x Mumen too I guess, tho I’m not as into that ship as before
4. My second self indulgent one oo boy. Soooo this is an au where everything is more monstrous, ppl are half or have become complete monsters, but more traditional ones usually, like Godzilla level kaiju, incubi, stuff like that. Except these monsters fit a teeny bit more into society, so there has to be something like a police force to get at em when they’re criminals but with heroes/detectives. Cue Genos and Mumen, totally BAD, SCARY eMO cop and goody🥳two😍shoes✨ good cop. One day they’re getting coffee or whatever when the whole place blows up, and while most people survived in wreckage, Genos notices-a monster! He chases after an incubus, and even rockets into the sky after him when he starts flying. Saitama’s like ow what the fuck, I didn’t do any of this I was just walking by! And Genos is like shut up scum >:( they take him in for questioning and learn he’s a super OP incubus (go figure) but he doesn’t have much of a sex drive and doesn’t “do the whole incubus thing.” Genos doesn’t believe him but Mumens like omg that must be so hard, have some more tea sweetie. Anyway Genos leaves it to Mumen and when he’s gone Saitama uses his convincing flirty powers to get Mumen to release him. He feels guilty about using his powers, he feels skeevy! But he really doesn’t wanna be there and escapes, Genos catches him etc and it’s a whole conspiracy all 3 of them have to figure out that actually goes super deep, also more Genosai lmaaoooooo
5. THIS IS MY DUMBEST ONE BUT I LOVE IT. Ok so Saitama is out walking in the woods one day and finds an abandoned cottage and he’s like oh sick. He goes back home but can’t get it off his mind. He keeps going back and fixes little bits of it here and there, really makes it shine and then Genos catches him and he’s like yo Sensei? Of course Genos takes the project super seriously bc Saitama is hardly ever interested in stuff so they get it done and pretty looking ridiculously fast. Then Saitama suggests like, living there every now and again for certain seasons. Genos says yes without thinking, and is floored by all the tender things he discovers come with cottage life, like a garden, taking care of little hurt birds and not accidentally hurting the house. He’s scared to tell Saitama but Sai eventually worms it out of him that he feels like he doesn’t belong, he’s so bulky and damaging to everything. Course Saitama feels awful for not realizing, hugs the shit out of him and apologizes. Then he gets the idea to help Genos feel like he can enjoy a simple life, help him hold animals, feed birds, etc. and Genos is like oh my GOD Saitama is too good to me 🥺🥺 and idk what else happens hhhh. anyway could be either established relationship or mutual pining, I like either for this story but the most IMPORTANT part is it’s full of cottagecore imagery and vibes or it’s not a simple cottage au, and I live by that. Anyway if anyone likes these and wants to use them then hell yeah! I can’t write to save my life, but please gimme credit 🧡🎃
