just infodumped the backrooms au onto my friends poor unsuspecting discord server. nobody is going to read it, but I need it out of my system

I love how they play a game that correlates to the backrooms ONCE and I jumped on it immediately. the phasmophobia streams are semi-canon for it. xBcrafted is a fucking fish creature, because if I send my Minecraft men to the backrooms I get to make up at least one entity ok. xisumavoid is an MEG employee (employee?) with an evil twin that kind of kills people oopsies. Pearl may or may not die depending on how I'm feeling the day I write her oneshot, don't worry about that though :D

i wrote a thing about august.

(tw for: sleep paralysis, implied ptsd, implied abusive relationships, and hallucinations.)

August never admitted to anybody how scared he was of sleeping. As much as he treasured the time where he got to rest and lay down, he was so scared of what lurked in his brain. The monsters he had tried to desperately get rid of, the ones he had tried so hard to push away. They would creep back in when he slept.

Just last night, he had fallen into a state of terror. He had heard.. that voice. The voice that he hated hearing. The agitated, grinding voice of the person that had caused him to spiral into this mess. The voice of someone that claimed to be there for him and protect him. He didn't know if it was the sleep paralysis finally catching up with him, or if it was just a very common nightmare. But when he tried to move, nothing happened. He couldn't move away from them. No matter how hard he struggled. He screamed, there was no sound.

And then he struggled to breathe. His lungs hurt. He was choking.

But suddenly it stopped. He woke back up. He shot up in bed, hurriedly looking around. Was anyone actually there?! Was that.. that demon of a man trying to get back at him?! No.. no. It wasn't real. He fell back asleep. And nothing more happened.

I gotta be honest with you guys (or well, anyone who’s been paying attention to my Stray kids posts or is into them as well), but I had kind of almost forgotten how... ..... ........intense... some fans can get.

Like...I would say, for the most part, a lot of stays seem to be respectful towards the boys, and clearly are just here for the ride, enjoy the boys and their stuff and having a great time, and hell yeah!

But then, there’s the ones who are so...focused on certain things, that pick apart every interaction, that make edit after edit of every single moment between certain pairings, that analyze every video. It’s so...so much.

Anything is going to seem a certain way when you edit it to feel that way, you know?

Like, take Changbin and Hyunjin, for example (I am only using these two because I love their friendship a lot and my dumbass clicked on a video on youtube that was edited...and well). So, they are clearly close, there are a ton of clips of these two being cuddly and affectionate. It’s sweet as hell (this honestly goes for a lot of them, to be honest. List a pairing in the group, there’s clips, I’m sure.) But if you take all these clips and stuff, and edit them with soft, romantic music, well...yea, they are going to give you that exact vibe. That’s why editing in tv and movies can be so powerful, it’s getting you to feel an emotion that silence wouldn’t give you.

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT????
