Everytime I point out that Dean Winchester is autistic, people get mad or look at me like I’ve spontaneously grown a second head, as if this man’s existence isn’t just checking off boxes for the diagnostic criteria
Special interests: westerns, cars, mechanical engineering stuff in general, 1960’s & 70’s music - specifically classic rock, monsters. You’re gonna look me in the eyes and tell me that it’s totally normal for someone who was born in 1979 to have borderline encyclopedic knowledge of two decades of music????? Hundreds of years of monster lore??? — for fuck’s sake, he had a train thing when he was little!!!! Those are special interests!!!!
Restricted diet: it’s mostly for Jokes but dean genuinely doesn’t eat much beyond burgers, diner food and pie.
Dean didn’t speak for months after Mary died and there’s 15 years of canon evidence where he loses his voice during moments of Big Emotions!!! He’s going nonverbal!!!!!!!
Trouble with social cues: literally look at every single instance of Dean trying to interact with strangers, ESPECIALLY in the early seasons. He’s not playing dumb, he just doesn’t get it. Also, watch any scene of this man TRYING to flirt and tell me that he’s any good at it. You know why? That bitch is mimicking the fucking movies and tv shows he grew up watching.
Sensory processing disorder: DO YOU THINK HE WEARS 87 LAYERS FOR FUN???? FOR FASHION????? WHAT DID YOU THINK ALL THE FLANNELS WERE ABOUT. THEY’RE SOFT. Also think about how much he liked the nightgown and the robe. ALSO, ALSO: school!!! It’s loud, it’s smelly, it’s dirty (his germ thing), the lights are too bright, there’s too much sensory input happening at one time. Between being so overwhelmed in school that he couldn’t focus and John pulling him left & right for cases and Sam, no wonder dean dropped out :(
14.04. The comic book episode is an ENTIRE episode about dean and his special interests!!!!!! And his social anxiety, hiding out in his room at the beginning of the episode because of all the strangers in his home 😤
Emotional regulation problems: those angry outbursts?? Destroying the Impala??? LOOK ME IN THE EYES AND TELL ME THATS NOT A MELTDOWN
His whole personality is a mask! He based his whole life and personality around the men he grew up around! John, Bobby, the other hunters - we all know that dean isn’t this rugged manly man he puts on. Sure people can have layers, but my man literally wore his dad’s actual jacket for fucking years
Black & white thinking: this doesn’t need anything else tbh
Strong sense of Justice: “how many people do you have to save?” “All of ‘em. Whole wide world of sports.”
Literal thinking: half the show is about how they both have to learn to look at monsters and not immediately go “monsters bad.” Also literal thinking is hard to explain, but I promise he does this.
Hyperlexic: “what? I read?”
“Too blunt”: all those times you thought “that was kinda harsh Dean” or “wtf that was so mean” - he doesn’t like lying to people when he doesn’t have to!
Hyper empathy: “The baby in the well? My bad.” “I do my best to be brave.” Sacrificing himself for people over and over again. The djinn episode and the speech he makes in front of John’s grave. His whole life he’s been told he cares too much!!!!
As a fellow AuDHD bitch, the most AuDHD thing Dean has ever said was “we know a little about a lot of things. Just enough to make us dangerous.” Also: “I got no idea. But what I do have is a GED and a give ‘em hell attitude, and I’ll figure it out.”
Like I could dive into the nuances of all of these and explain them in great detail and find textual evidence for basically everything, but it’s too early in the morning for that much work when I know that I’m right. Yeah he has adhd, obviously, but I will eat my left hand if that man isn’t autistic.

Dimensional Shift - Chapter 5 S4E2 (pt. 1)
Story Summary: Maria was just a regular girl, worked at a gas station, wrote fanfic, and loved Supernatural. She even created her own supernatural creature for her writings. When the aurora borealis comes to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, one Halloween night, everything changes for her in ways she never expected. Will she be able to navigate this new world she's thrown into?
Word Count: 3851
Please don't take my work. I'll post warnings for each chapter. Will eventually be 18+!
Warnings: Angst, some Fluff/Comfort, Alcoholism.
A/N: I broke S4E2 into a few chapters, so they weren't such a long read all at once with what was added to them.
----------------------------------------- Chapter 5 - S4E2 pt. 1
There was some arguing in the car, which continued even after getting back to Bobby’s. Bobby sat behind his desk, several books open before him while Dean and Sam were still arguing. Maria sat down on the couch, as she was the one who had gotten the particular books that Bobby was looking through at the moment.
“I still don’t believe that this thing is a freaking Angel of the Lord because it says so!” Dean yelled, which made Maria flinch slightly.
“He’s not the only one who said that, Dean,” Sam retorted, annoyed as he looked over at Maria, remembering what she’d told them in the motel the day before.
“You two Chuckleheads want to keep arguing religion, or do you want to come take a look at this?” Bobby called out as they walked over to look at what he had, “I got stacks of lore, Biblical, pre-Biblical. Some of it’s in damn cuneiform. It all says an angel can snatch a soul from the pit.”
“What else?” Dean asked.
“What else, what?” Bobby said, shrugging.
“What else could do it?” Dean asked.
“Airlift your ass out of that hot box? As far as I can tell, nothing,” Bobby said.
That was when the three of them looked at Maria, who was still sitting on the couch, drinking whiskey. She had warned them about Castiel and even changed the blinding of Pamela, the psychic. Even in Maria’s fanfics, her character always looked guilty when she knew something, which was exactly the look she had now.
“Maria, what do you know?” Dean asked, but it came out gruff, annoyed, and he was already on his third or fourth beer, but that was nothing for Dean.
“I’m not sure how much I should say,” she almost whispered.
Knowing the future, so to speak, was a blessing and a curse, and sharing too much, or too many details, could pose all new problems for all of them, and Maria knew this, but she also couldn’t lie either, not to the three of them. In her fanfic, they were her family, and even now, in their dimension, she was their family.
“You aren’t supposed to find out yet. I don’t… I don’t want to change things too much.” Maria replied, unable to look up at the three of them.
She knew that in three days, they’d go investigate why a friend of Bobby’s hadn’t returned his calls and that ghosts of their past had killed four other hunters due to the Mark of the Witness. It was called ‘the rising of the witnesses,’ an ancient prophecy from Revelations and the apocalypse. Her mind raced, attempting to figure out what she could say without giving too much away.
“It doesn’t matter. What the hell do you know?” Dean growled at that point, walking closer to her, his tone making her flinch again.
“Dean, please understand…” she began, glancing up at him, seeing the anger in his eyes and looked away, “Let me go get a book. It will tell you what you want to know, and in about two days, you’ll see what I mean.” she decided to say, avoiding changing more than she had to.
The three watched her as she walked out of the living room and down to Bobby’s panic room. She retrieved a particular book and rejoined them in the living room, setting the book on the desk in front of Bobby. The boys didn’t know about Bobby’s panic room. Maria knew more from the show than anything, but her character in her fanfic had known as well since he was like a father to her.
“Look up the Rising of the Witnesses. I’m not saying anymore other than maybe you should warn Olivia Lowry, Carl Bate, R.C. Adams, and the other hunters in that area.” She told them before sitting back down on the couch, going back to drinking the whiskey, which Bobby always kept a steady supply of due to her tolerance from her healing ability.
Dean wasn’t happy that she wouldn’t give him a straight answer. Bobby and Sam were a little more understanding. Bobby opened the book to the section she had mentioned. She didn’t need to look at his expression to know what it looked like. His eyes widened as he read, then shared it with the boys. At this point, Maria had finished off that first bottle and started on her second.
“Time to make some phone calls,” Bobby stated, “as well as get this spell ready ahead of time.”
Dean just looked over at Maria, who hadn’t said anything since setting the book down in front of Bobby. He didn’t want to believe her when she’d told them about the angel, but it had turned out to be true, and now there was this, and none of it was good. He wanted to know more, to prepare for it, but he also knew how stubborn Maria could be, so for now, he didn’t press it, no matter how much he wanted to.
The room felt stuffy for Maria and she could feel Dean’s eyes on her, at least until Bobby snapped him out of his thoughts. Bobby sent Dean and Sam on the errand to retrieve the items for the spell while Bobby made phone calls. Maria headed outside with her bottle of whiskey.
She leaned her back against the passenger side door of her truck, her back to Bobby’s place, drinking, lost in her thoughts of the horrors that were ahead of them, wondering if there was any way she could lessen the pain that they were going to go through. She remembered how her heart had gone out to the brothers when she watched the show back in her world, wanting to take away their pain, comfort them, and tell them they would get through this. She felt a few tears slide down her cheek and quickly wiped them away as she heard footsteps approaching her, knowing it was Sam just with how he walked.
“Hey, you okay?” Sam asked her tenderly as he moved to stand in front of her.
“I will be Sam. This is just… hard, that’s all,” she replied as she looked up at him.
“Knowing things and not wanting to mess stuff up, huh?” he asked, understanding, mostly.
“Yeah,” she answered, fighting back tears, knowing what was coming, knowing he’d be trapped in that damned cage with Lucifer toying with his mind for a year but unable to say a word about it.
“I’m gonna guess it’s not pretty then, what’s in store.” there was some curiosity in his tone as well as worry, but he was also trying not to push her to say more than she was comfortable, unlike Dean, who would have been attempting to grill her for information.
“No, Sam… it’s not pretty… and it’s gonna be hard, on all of us. Probably you more than us,” she told him as she looked down at the ground, finishing off that second bottle, barely feeling anything.
Maria didn’t see the concern on Sam’s face. She didn’t want to, realizing she had probably said too much.
“You’re not going to die, so don’t think that. It’s just gonna be hard, that’s all,” she clarified, then looked at the empty bottle in her hand, scrunching her face a little, wanting another one.
“Well… umm… that’s good, at least,” Sam replied, not sounding very convinced, “Could you perhaps be a little less… vague?”
Maria sighed as she looked up at him, the look on his face almost breaking her heart, “I can’t, Sam. Not yet. I’ll tell everyone more in time, when it’s appropriate.” again, she fought back her tears, which Sam did notice.
The “her” of this world only drank like this when her emotions got the better of her, like anger and pain, which Sam knew. It was clear she wasn’t angry. Sam moved closer and hugged her. As far as he was concerned, she was still his little sister, even if she was a little different than the Maria from this world.
“Let’s go get you another bottle,” Sam told her with a soft smile after the hug, putting his arm over her shoulder and walking her back into Bobby’s.
She could hear Dean talking to Bobby even before they went inside. It was clear that Dean wanted to push her for more information, and Bobby was about to yell at Dean about it, but Sam opened the door, making them both stop talking. Sam took her empty bottle, threw it away, then grabbed another one popping it open for her before handing it to her.
“Thanks, Sam,” she told him quietly before taking the bottle, taking another drink, then looking at the floor, choosing to sit down at the kitchen table with her back to the living room, just drinking, attempting to drown the pain she felt.
“She okay?” Bobby asked, somewhat concerned.
“She will be Bobby. This is really hard on her. She wants to tell us, but she’s afraid that if she says too much too quickly, it will change too much and could really mess stuff up, possibly making it worse for all of us,” Sam explained.
“Makes sense…” Bobby replied, glancing up at Dean, who was standing near the corner of his desk, arms crossed, his eyes on Maria as she sat in the kitchen, “Don’t go pushing her, Dean,” he warned him fairly sternly.
Maria could feel Dean’s eyes on her, which only made her guilt worse, making her take larger drinks of the whiskey. The whiskey at least helped keep her tears away, though, so she was thankful for it. She had completely left out knowing that Sam was on demon blood. It was a topic she wasn’t ready to broach either. Maria honestly wanted to feel comfortable around them, like the character she’d written in her fanfic back in her world, but her nerves felt shot.
“I won’t, Bobby…” Dean finally said, his tone gruff and annoyed, before he clenched his jaw, watching her as she drank.
Bobby had called the hunters that Maria had spoken of earlier, and the boys had helped him prepare the spell needed to send the ghosts that would rise back to where they belonged. The other hunters agreed to call Bobby the moment they noticed anything but didn’t question how he knew something was coming.
The hours passed slowly for Maria. She had finished that third bottle, which felt like several hours ago when, in truth, it had only been about forty-five minutes. She didn’t know how to face any of them. In her fanfic, the three of them learned sign language not long after they had met her so they could talk among themselves when they knew she was within her hearing range. She sighed as she sat at the table in the kitchen, hearing only silence from the living room, knowing that they were talking about her.
Dean: We need to know.
Sam: She’ll tell us in time, when we need to know, just like with the angel.
Dean: It’s not enough. I need to know why.
Bobby: Knock it off, both of you. She’s family and won’t let any of us get hurt if she can help it.
Dean: That’s not the point. She knows way more than she’s saying. She only drinks like that when she is pissed or sad. She ain’t pissed.
Bobby: I swear, boy, you push it, and we’re gonna have a problem.
Dean: I already said I won’t, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to know what the hell we’re up against.
Sam: She’s telling us what’s important when it’s needed. Trust her already. She’s still our Maria.
Dean sighed and looked back over at her, noticing how she had laid her head on her arms, which were on the table now, her gaze out the window near the table. He cared for her, she was family, almost as much as Sam. She looked and even acted like “their” Maria. The only difference had been that she knew how things were going to play out, and it almost seemed as though she couldn’t hide her emotions as well as “their” Maria used to.
Bobby: Think about it, Dean, from her perspective. She’s from a world where we’re just a television show to her. She’s probably having a harder time than any of us right now.
Dean sighed again, knowing he was right. He took another drink of his whiskey. The poor girl was probably fairly emotional. He thought about if he ended up in some television show and how he’d end up feeling, although it’d be different for him as he’d probably try to have fun with the girls in the show, that thought making him smirk a bit. Dean kicked off a bit from Bobby’s desk and headed into the kitchen, setting his glass of whiskey down on the table before moving a chair so he was closer to Maria, setting a hand on her shoulder when he sat down.
“Hey, I’m not mad at you,” he told her softly.
“I know, Dean,” she replied quietly, “this just sucks, that’s all.”
“Well, you’re family, no matter where you’re from. We all trust you, and that isn’t gonna change,” he tried to reassure her, wishing she’d turn her head so he could attempt to read her better.
“Thanks, Dean, that means a lot to me,” she told him before turning her head on her arms, looking up at him, tears threatening to fall from the corners of her eyes.
Dean instantly moved even closer to her, hugging her with his arm over her shoulder and pulling her closer so that her closest shoulder was against his chest, “Hey, why are you crying?” he asked, concerned.
“I’m not,” she replied, then looked away from him, trying to hide her blush for him being so close. Her character in her fanfic was used to his scent. She, however, was not, and it was fairly intoxicating. It didn’t help that she really did love him, and now he was right next to her, holding her in a half hug.
“Not what it looked like to me,” he said softly, “You can talk to me, you know that.” he paused for a moment, “Why not tell me about your world, help take your mind off things.” he finally said, still holding her as he had been.
Maria’s mind raced again, although now she wasn’t sure what she should reveal and what she shouldn’t, like her love for him, thinking it was stupid to fall in love with a fictional character, even if he wasn’t so fictional anymore. She took a deep breath, thinking about how her character might act in this situation. Her character had more courage than she thought she ever could. Maria felt as though she wasn’t confident, didn’t have the courage she wanted, was too shy around guys, and was more of a mouse than anything.
She took a deep breath, unable to ignore his scent, but turned to look at him anyway, still laying her head on her arms on the table, “It’s pretty boring where I come from. There aren’t things there like there are here. No monsters or hunters, no angels or demons.”
Dean noticed the slight blush on her cheeks, which made him get that soft smirk, “Sounds kind of boring, you’re right, but doesn’t that mean you get a quiet life.” his tone was soft, almost curious.
She chuckled a little, even managing to smile slightly, “I went to work, came home, wrote fanfic, usually drank, slept, then did it all over again. I usually watched my favorite show while I wrote, inspiring me.”
Dean sat there, his arm still around her, sipping his drink with his other hand, listening, “Might be kind of nice, having a boring life like that.”
“You’d hate it, Dean. I know how much you love hunting,” Maria chuckled, then snagged a drink out of his glass of whiskey.
“Hey now, you’ve already had three bottles,” he laughed, holding onto his drink this time, “I’d give that life a shot at least,” he added, thinking about a life without having to hunt down monsters, but knew at the same time that she was probably right about him hating it.
Maria laughed a bit when he said what he did about how much she had already drunk, and she was slightly buzzed, finally, “Let’s just say that you did try it, at one point, here. You did like it, but…” she trailed off, watching his expression change and had to look away again, “you were only partially happy, always looking over your shoulder, wondering when that life would catch up with you, which put a couple of people danger. You end up heartbroken, Dean. I just… don’t want to see you go through that.” her tone had gotten quiet the more she spoke. She had been vague, or as vague as she could.
Dean almost couldn’t believe what he was hearing, knowing there would be only one reason he’d ever try that kind of life. He pulled away from Maria, then glanced into the living room at Sam and Bobby, more Sam than anything, wondering what Maria knew that he didn’t.
“Dean, Sam doesn’t die, so don’t think that, okay,” she told him quietly. She had already reassured Sam earlier that neither of them died, not really anyway. She knew what was in store for the two of them over the next twenty or so years and everything that was laid out for them by God, whom they hadn’t met yet.
He looked back over at her, somewhat surprised, wanting answers, but chose not to push things, remembering what Sam and Bobby had said earlier, “I trust you, so I’ll believe you, but I know the only reason I’d even attempt that kind of life.” he said, attempting to keep the annoyance out of his tone, even though his jaw clenched again before he finished off his drink.
“I’ll explain things as they come up, the best I can, so we can all be prepared, I promise,” she replied, finally looking over at him, and the sadness had returned, as well as those tears she had been fighting.
That look in her eyes hurt him, which made his expression soften again, “I’m not mad at you, just the situation, okay,” he said, trying to reassure her, again, “So, where were you working?”
She wanted to believe him, but still somewhat felt like he was mad at her for not telling him everything she knew, “I worked at a convenience store as a cashier.”
“What kind of fanfic did you write?” he asked, only slightly curious but also trying to take her mind off things.
That’s when she blushed again. It was light, though, and the kitchen light danced across her deep, dark blue eyes for a moment, “Lots of different kinds of things, really. Movies, video game characters, and TV shows,” she bit her bottom lip for a moment, nervous, “in the last year though, it’s just been about Supernatural.” she felt her heart pounding but tried to calm it. The alcohol had given her a little more courage than she normally would have had.
Dean raised an eyebrow when she mentioned Supernatural, “You wrote about us, for a year?” he asked, almost in disbelief.
Maria looked down at the table, managing not to blush further than she already was, “Yeah…” was all she could manage. She wasn’t about to tell him that in that year, she had binge-watched the show nearly five times between work and writing fanfic.
“What was your favorite part?” he asked, his curiosity getting the better of him as her blush intrigued him. His Maria never would have blushed like that, not over something so small. Hell, his Maria hardly blushed at all.
Maria took a deep breath, “The dynamic between you and Sam, and things I can’t tell you yet. Just the way you guys always came out on top of things, no matter what was thrown at you. Plus, no matter what problems happened between you and Sam, you two always found a way to work it out.” there was a slight dreaminess to her words and expression, as well as a softness in her eyes, even if Dean couldn’t completely see them with how she was facing. She wasn’t about to tell him that she had rewritten the complete 15 seasons, including her character in it, and in her world, it was online for others to enjoy reading, which they did.
Bobby and Sam were listening from the living room, having their own silent conversation through sign language. Dean had even noticed when he had glanced in there earlier. The two of them were fairly proud of Dean for at least trying to talk with Maria and not pushing for immediate answers.
“Sounds like you got pretty attached,” Dean was almost teasing her like he would have his Maria, as there was now a smirk to match his tone.
Maria turned towards him and was unable to keep that smile off her face, seeing that smirk of his up close, “I like the real thing better,” she told him matter-of-factly, which made him chuckle a bit.
“So this monster stuff, it doesn’t scare you at all?” he asked, amused with her now.
“No, but I know I’m weird too,” she answered.
“Weird isn’t a bad thing here,” he replied and was a bit surprised to be more interested in her than he had been his own Maria, whom he had treated more like a little sister than anything.
Maria and Dean eventually joined Bobby and Sam in the living room. There were moments when things got awkwardly quiet, but one of them managed to find a different topic for conversation. They spent a few hours getting to know this “new” Maria before she excused herself for the night, knowing where her room was since this world was almost out of her fanfic. She’d already changed things and knew she’d have to be careful with things in the future. The three of them stayed up a bit later, having their silent conversation. There was the occasional chuckle, sigh, groan, and even some laughter that would happen, but no words.
Her dreams were what they always were, but now they seemed to include other things, things from “her” past in the fanfic. These were almost like memories instead of dreams, and they felt real. Her father, William Winter, a legend among hunters and the Men of Letters who had erased all records of her existence once she had received the Touch of Bastet, making her a supernatural creature, no matter how human she looked. A memory of when he had returned from a hunt when she was five, opening the motel room door and scooping her up into his arms. She could even smell his scent, which made her smile in her sleep.

supernatural s14e5 nightmare logic (w. meredith glynn)
i haven't been engaged with a main plot on this show in a long time but man, every new season i just get more and more tired. michael using grace?? to juice up super monsters, jack doing unspecified potential evil-erasing, ad nauseam
i thought this maggie girl wasn't an on the ground type hunter, and with how they always have harped on not hunting alone.. good things sure to come.
DEAN You kids have fun out there. SAM Don't even say it. DEAN What? No, it's good. It's got, like, a very camp-counselor vibe to it. Just need to get you a whistle.
at least he looks pretty fond while he's saying it :p
DEAN You got any rest lately, like at all? I mean, look, man, I know things are crazy right now, okay? I mean, hell, I just went toe-to-toe with my own personal horror-movie icon, but we all need our beauty sleep. SAM Dean, I have 16 Hunters on cases right now. That's not counting Jack and Cas in Sarasota or Mom and Bobby working that rugaru in Texas. DEAN Okay, you know that these people survived a war, right? SAM Yeah, but a war isn't Hunting. These people need, uh, lore and weapons and tips and backup, and -- Look, don't worry (phone chimes) about me, all right? I'm -- I'm -- I'm good.
where's uh. garth? someone else to delegate some of the hunter wrangling to? does he still do that post-werewolfing? this is ridiculous. whatever
Tumblr media
having a hard time wrapping my head around those hills in the background there
Tumblr media
DEAN Huh. Private cemetery. Must be nice. SAM What?
ok that got a smile out of me
DEAN Something on your mind, Bobby? BOBBY Yeah. Your brother. He let Maggie come here when she had no idea what she was walking into. (pause) She wasn't ready.
i mean. based on what the show showed us about her before, inclined to agree. but whatever! heavy is the head blah blah
MARY Look, don't listen to Bobby. SAM Um, maybe he's right, you know? I encouraged her. Maybe he's right about me, about everything. MARY Sam. Watching you these last few weeks, you know what I've been saying to myself? "This is what he was born to do." If Bobby can't see that, then it's not the only thing he's been missing lately.
maybe he is but i rolled my eyes nonetheless. all this is just so out of left field
SAM I wasn't gonna mention it. None of my business, but it did seem like you'd gotten pretty close lately. MARY Yeah, and I thought so, too. Maybe, but since we've been back, things have changed.
there had been a lot of meaningful looks. i was wonder if they were gonna have yet another younger woman be interested in him
SAM Have you asked? MARY Bobby's not open like your dad. SAM Wait. Like my dad? MARY Okay. At least he's not like your dad was when I knew him.
L O L
MARY Bobby's got walls, big ones. I just don't know if I can do that if I even ever put myself out there again. (chuckles) I shouldn't be talking to you about this.
seriously, why does bobby pull literally all the ladies? ellen (in an alternate timeline), jody, his neighbor lady marcy, mary, that lady with the awful sword in the stone bit. get you a lady in her 40s, she's there for it. they were all born around 1970, he was born in 1950. and he's never had the most winning personality
BOBBY You think I was too hard on your brother back there. DEAN He's doing his best. He's doing better than his best. You know, this whole Hunter Five-O thing -- he's -- he's killing himself over it. He doesn't eat, he doesn't sleep, grew himself one of those Kenny Rogers beards. No offense.
tell him, dean. but i mean, also, i kinda agreed with bobby. but no one makes perfect decisions - and especially not when sleep deprived and underfed
DEAN Can I give you a little advice? Let it go. The past is… There's nothing you can do about it now, so… it's just baggage. Let it go. You'll feel a lot lighter. SASHA Is that what you do? DEAN I try. Every single day.
the snort i snorted. okay i feel like he's had this conversation before but then admitted that he can't/is terrible at it. oh god. i'm never gonna remember who he was talking to/when. ughhh
anyway, old chestnut of giving someone advice that you need yourself
bobby getting beaten up by his dead (smited??) son. sure. is he gonna survive the angel blade skewering to a tree through the left side of his chest
upgraded by michael djinn that can manifest nightmares, sure sure
NEIL Relax. I won't let anything happen to Michael's favorite monkey suit, but I am curious (distorted voice) what are your nightmares? [The djinn puts a hand on Dean’s forehead. His grin falls. He lets Dean go.] NEIL You -- You're --
mmmk. vaguely ominous
Tumblr media
DEAN You did this. You got her home.
now eat a sandwich and go to bed
Tumblr media
no prob, bob
Tumblr media
BOBBY I'm the one that brought him to war. I'm the one who sent him to die. I don't even know what they did to him. The angels took them. We never found the bodies. I never figured I'd be any kind of a father to a child. But Daniel… was the best thing in my life. (sighs deeply) I always assumed that war'd kill me, too, but it didn't. I guess lately, I've -- I've been looking for other options. MARY The Hunting. BOBBY It ends the same. MARY No. You are not allowed to give up on me. BOBBY I don't… I don't know any other way to live. MARY Then we'll find one.
all right then. this is a lot
that was a sweet moment there, good job, samantha. but now i'm crying because i'm like. WHEN DO DEAN AND SAM GET TO JUST BE HAPPY, HUH???? and we get the mushy music for the hugs and goodbye
DEAN Garth? It's Dean. Here's the deal --
speak of the devil
SAM Dean -- DEAN I know, I know. Not my fault. It's Michael. It's all Michael. (scoffs) You know, I've been trying to -- not forget, but to move on from what I -- from what we -- from what he did. And I got to be honest, I was -- I was starting to feel like myself again. Almost. SAM So we'll work harder. DEAN How, Sam? You get sleep three hours of sleep a night. SAM All right, then -- then -- then I'll sleep two. Dean, we're going to find Michael, and when we do, we will kill him.
you cannot function on that little sleep for an extended period of time this is just stupid.
DEAN How? SAM I don't know. We'll -- We'll -- We'll track down Dark Kaia and her spear. We'll -- We'll find something. DEAN I hope you're right.
am i missing something? did the two archangel blades disappear?? reading the wiki without trying to completely spoil myself, i see it says it can only kill an archangel when wielded by another archangel. hokay. did we know that?

just a thought. no soul sam in supernatural is what “no humanity vampires” should have been in tvd. sure, it’s played for comedy in spn which is fun, but given the right motivation it can also work to be dark the way tvd wanted “no humanity” to be. the more buffy vampire/ having “no soul + a demon inside” lore that tvd seems to try for just… doesn’t quite make sense? because “no humanity” as defined in tvd is more like a soulless sam, it’s having no moral compass, no empathy, not caring. that shouldn’t necessitate being evil? it should just mean giving into vampire instincts, and if anything remembering what it’s like to feel and suffer and not wanting to endure that (which sam even brings up). but the way tvd is like “no humanity means not feeling anything”… you’ve discussed tvd lore being questionable, do you think having no humanity be akin to the “no soul” portrayal in supernatural could have made more sense/worked?
Yeah, I would say it should be the way they did it with Sam but opposed to your idea that it doesn't necessarily mean they're evil, I think it should mean that they're absolutely more dangerous, because the thing about it is that there's certainly humour to the storyline but it does go to dark places, Sam inevitably ends up doing fucked up things because he has no compassion or empathy, which means he will do those things in service of his goal, like he'll kill a dog
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
or kill innocents
Tumblr media
or try to kill Bobby
Tumblr media
because in his mind it's all logical and then you realize that soulless Sam actually leaves behind a lot of collateral damage because he doesn't care about anything and that makes him dangerous even if he doesn't at first present that way, because the storyline starts off with, there's something off about Sam and then when it's revealed he has no soul it's, like, okay... that's not ideal but maybe it'll be fine? Like, so far it's just he has one night stands, he's kind of a dick, he takes more risks during hunts but then it gets to he will kill and endanger innocent people (like when he used the sheriff as bait) and because he has no moral compass or no emotion which means he has no instinct he will end up working for the king of hell and contributing to another potentially world-ending event, which means there are actually big consequences to Sam having no soul.
That's what it should've been with TVD but compounded by vampiric urges so if it's natural for a vampire to want to kill and feed and to prey on weaker beings and they have no compassion or empathy then they should be giving into those urges with no remorse because the show kind of does what they do with Sam where Elena is like I want a ribbon so I'm going to get the ribbon
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and Caroline is like Liam's hot so I'm going to make out with Liam and I'm hungry so I'll feed from him
Tumblr media
but she stops because of her shoes so the writing is still protective of their characters because nothing really happens, it's supposed to be like omg look at how different they are because they treat people like food but the people are still alive so if it's in a vampire's nature to like killing and to like stalking and preying and no moral qualms are keeping them from tempering that then go all the way with that notion and it doesn't even have to be death but make it weird, make it more like the tomb vampires in season 1 where they cart around humans and use them as blood bags and we see multiple bites on them
Tumblr media
and have them explain it logically to the people with humanity in cold, calculating terms and give their lack of a moral compass consequences with huge implications.

I wrote this in a SPN omegaverse discord and was gonna save it for next Monday, but my patience is approximately 0% so... have a Momfucker Monday post 12 hours late!
(Sam/Mary, omegaverse, lactation kink)
Yesterday was the first of the newly christened "momfucker monday" so Sam/Mary is on my mind. And apparently Sam/Mary lactation kink is really common. And I just had the thought of like… omegaverse where once an omega has a pup, they just… Never Stop Lactating. Like even if they don't nurse or express, they just stay full. It doesn't cause any pain or problems like IRL, but if they nurse or express they'll continue lactating, no matter how long it's been.
So Mary coming back to life and being Super Attracted to Sam but like, freaked out about it cuz that's her baby and now he's a giant alpha, and leaving cuz she's afraid if she stays she'll be a bad mom and cliche omega and jump her son. And blah blah, BMOL and AU happens and she's finally back at the bunker with them again (albeit with a bunch of other people, too) and Sam makes a move. Like maybe in that ep where Mary's talking to him about her Thing with Bobby and Sam's just kinda like "you deserve someone who'll open up to you" and like, maybe runs his hand down her back and smiles all soft and warm and she's just like, "404 brain not found switching to omega.exe" (yeah, I'm mixing up the computer terms, shh)
But then, y'know, Bobby gets injured and Mary goes with him to the cabin to recover (and also a last ditch attempt at a socially-acceptable relationship) but you know how that goes and instead of staying at the cabin after Bobby leaves, she goes back to the bunker, and oop, there's Sam. Sam, the alpha, who smells so good and looks at her with so much love and the bunker isn't full of other people anymore, just Mary and Sam and Dean and sometimes Cas again, and Dean, he's got a habit of bookin' it when Sam starts looking at her Like That, and Mary's not sure if he knows or just picks up on the pheromones, but he leaves them alone every time.
And finally one day they're IDK, in the library or something going over some lore and Sam's sitting at the table and Mary comes up and leans against the edge to talk to him and Sam stands up and he's so tall and big and he steps right up to her and puts one hand on her hip and she can smell that hint of alpha arousal coming from him that's gotten so commonplace when they're together, but this time it's not just a hint, he doesn't try to hold it back. He crowds close to her, his other hand at her jaw, tilting her head. Dips his head down to run his nose along her neck, scenting her. His scent grows even stronger and Mary realizes, oh, this is happening now. It's actually happening, it's not just something they dance around and refuse to acknowledge.
And Mary, she uses heat suppressors but maybe she forgot a dose or two, and maybe her scent is getting a little thicker, a little warmer, and maybe that's what pushed Sam into action finally. It wasn't on purpose, she honestly forgot, got busy. But now she's got an alpha she loves pressed against her, scenting her, and she's right on the edge of tipping into heat. Close enough that he can smell it on her, but not so close that she can't stop it if she walks away now and takes her suppressor.
But she doesn't. She tugs on Sam's hair so he lifts his head, and she looks into his eyes and she sees the love and desire there. And she chooses him. Tilts her head to bare herself to him, whispers, "Alpha" and arches into him.
When Sam carries her to his room, they pass Dean, barely hearing him say something about heading out to find a hunt right now, might not be back for a few days, bye.
And it's amazing. Not only is it Mary's first heat since the one that got her pregnant with Sam in the first place, not only is she with a strong alpha who uses his body like a shield against the world, locking them together in their own little bubble, but it's an alpha that's also her baby. Her baby she didn't get to see grow up, her baby she still remembers nursing at her breast. Her baby she still carries milk for.
And Sam, who doesn't remember having a mother, doesn't remember ever nursing from her (Dean remembers, it's not uncommon for omegas to nurse their pups to school age, Dean remembers the taste of sweet milk, the comfort of soft breasts, but Sam doesn't have that), he dips his head once his knot is secure inside her, and he tastes the milk she has for him. His was the last mouth to taste her milk before she died and the first after she came back, and will be the only until the pup he gives her has their turn.

I always have so many thoughts when watching The End:
“This isn't funny, Dean. The voice says I'm almost out of minutes,” will forever remain the funniest thing Castiel has ever said. That’s right, I’m ranking it above “assbutt.” Come at me.
“Because whatever we have between us—love, family, whatever it is—” who okayed this line and thought it looked any thing but incestuous, I salute you.
So the Colt hasn’t been melted down in ‘09 because Crowley has it for insurance or whatever, but why hasn’t anyone done away with it in 2014? It can still kill pretty much anything, right? Why keep it around at all?
Where did all the regular monsters go in the Endverse? Did demons kill them all? Did they all starve to death because Crotes are inedible? Shouldn’t there be a shit ton of ghosts everywhere? Inquiring minds want to know!
God bless Rhonda Hurley. That is all.
So according to Word of God (that is, the show runners, not Chuck), what happened in this episode is dimension hopping, not true time travel. In which case, why is Jack ripping open a hole in space-time such a big deal in late seasons? Zachariah’s like a mid-tier angel and he did it super casual like. Hey, and Balthazar does it next season too for The French Mistake and it’s not a big deal there either! How did this universe’s Michael not realize there were alternate versions of him running around in season 15 if even bozos like Zach can pop over into alternate timelines at any time? It’s like nobody’s paying attention except me.
Speaking of, is Chuck bilaterally cosplaying as human across dimensions, or is this universe’s Chuck actually a prophet? Can God exist in multiple dimensions at once? It really seems like he should be able to, right?
So Cas explains that he “lost his mojo” when the other angels left. Where and why they took off is a good question, but my concern is remembering that according to Naomi a couple of seasons down the road, angels literally power Heaven. They’re little celestial batteries to kingdom in the sky. So does that mean Heaven is broken in the Endverse? Or at least closed? In that case, there definetely should be a shit ton of ghosts around, shouldn’t there? It’s like nobody’s paying attention except me.
Also, how and why Cas can lose is mojo is wildly inconsistent across the series. Earlier in the season he says he’s cut off from Heaven and that’s why he couldn’t heal Bobby and in the Endverse it’s because all the other angels left, and later on it’s because his grace is running low... I’m just saying angel lore is messy even at the best of times.
It’s funny how Endverse!Dean tries to soften the blow about what happened to Sam and then later decides, fuck it, I’m gonna shove it in his face.
How’d Hippy!Cas break his foot? Was it dumb? I hope it was dumb. Hey, by the way, where’d he get his amphetamines? Shouldn’t those be saved for the numerous medical situations I’m sure you run into in a post-Apocalypse?
Why does Sam in that white suit make me so damn horny?
Samifer is the best version of Lucifer. I kinda hate what they did with the character in later seasons and this Shakespearean sounding sunnova bitch is the big reason why. He’s such an unassuming little monster and him wearing Sam’s face just hammers that home. Jared is a goddamn acting genius here and we don’t deserve to kiss his feet.
Lucifer is so damn extra, stepping on Endverse!Dean’s neck like that. How’d that even happen?
Lucifer looks so wounded when Dean flinches away from his touch. I bet it’s because Dean is the closest thing he has to a brother left now that the angels took off. Yeah, I bet that’s it.
When Sam and Dean reunite and Dean takes out Ruby’s knife I love how Sam definetely thinks Dean’s going to stab him but he doesn’t run away or try to talk him out of it or anything. My poor baby!! <3
And, of course, the number one question that will torment me until the end of days:
Why did Endverse!Sam say yes? They bring up the question and then offer zero hints and it drives me absolutely bonkers. If you think that I have a fic that answers this question somewhere in the back of my head... you’d be absolutely correct. One day!

When the Levee Breaks- Ch3: In the End
Pairing: Kimberly Hart x Tommy Oliver
Universe: Power Rangers X Supernatural Crossover
"Are we really staying here?" Kim asked as Tommy grimaced. He wasn't sure that he wanted to team up with anyone, but from what he had heard- they could use some help with this world. There were things that would be after them aside from Lipretere and that was not something either of them had bargained for. They lived with Power Ranger problems, not vampires and werewolves being real. "Tommy- really?"
"I don't know, but at least for tonight- there's a warm bed and food. That's more than we've had in the past," Tommy said as he tossed her the larger shirt and she stripped without putting it on. He took her in before averting his gaze. There was no point in staring at something that he couldn't have anymore. "Oh c'mon Kim- that's just playing dirty."
"Should have kept your dick to yourself or you'd still have a chance," Kim spat out as she climbed into the bed and he climbed in on the other side and laid on top of the sheets. The last time this had happened- they'd had sex and then not talked for three years. He was not going to repeat that mistake, even if it was the comfort she wanted from him right now. He knew all of her tricks when it came to getting things out of him that he wouldn't normally be willing to do.
"You know I would've never done that if I hadn't been evil. I've tried. I've explained that Mesogogg meant for me to break you and that I fought to get out of the evil, but couldn't break it on my own. I couldn't break out of it until I had broken you and I hate myself for that. I've forgiven you for what you've done when you were evil. Can you just stop bringing this shit up?" Tommy said as he stared at the ceiling and heard her let out a sigh. "I just want to keep you safe and get you home and then you can go back to pretending like you don't still love me too."
"Fuck you."
"I'll see what I can find, but I doubt there is any lore on the Power Rangers and what side they fall on," Bobby said as he pulled out various ancient texts and Dean settled on the couch. Sam was busily clacking away on his computer. All of them were still stunned by what they had seen Tommy do. Sam had been able to do that- while hyped up on demon blood. This man had landed in the middle of the field and was already a more adept hunter than most would ever be.
"I think they fall on their side, Bobby. They just want to get back home and whatever is coming after them must pack one hell of a punch to yank them from one universe to another," Dean muttered as he shook his head. He did not like this. There was already too much that was going on and adding in two civilians to the mix was not something that they needed. Sure, the two of them had fighting skills that exceeded most people, but they didn't understand monsters. Their monsters were aliens- unless that bit of the show was wrong too. There was too much going on right now for them to be babysitters.
"Until they can get home though…everything is going to want that kind of power," Bobby muttered and Dean nodded. It was the one thing that all of them could agree upon, even Crowley had agreed before he had shagged ass out of there. Apparently Power Rangers also made demons uncomfortable. "Hell- we could use that kind of power."
"They've been used for that before, Bobby. It doesn't feel right asking them to do that in exchange for…what? Our protection? They don't need our protection," Sam said as they both looked over at him. "I know. They are weapons and I want to use them that way. But we're not set up to deal with whatever came through with them. We have more of a target on our backs because they're here."
"We're not going to give them $500 dollars, a stolen car, and some scammed credit cards and toss them out to survive," Dean interjected as he glanced between Sam and Bobby. He might not want to babysit, but he also didn't want to send an armed nuke out into their world either. "Bobby- back me up on this."
"If they're not going to be an asset- what other choice do we have? We're not exactly in a place to babysit them with the shit that Cas is pulling. Whatever that is," Bobby grumbled as Dean growled. "Boy…I know you don't like it, so you better be ready to convince them that hunting our monsters is what they should do while Lipretere is looking for them. We've got to be seen as helping them stay alive."
"How can we pitch in?" Tommy's voice broke into the room and they all spun around to face him. How had he snuck up on them? "I've infiltrated hundreds of buildings in my time- with beings that could detect my breath. It's not hard to sneak up on you."
"You think she's going to come around?" Dean asked as Tommy shrugged. He knew that Kim would keep herself alive, but she was just as likely to abandon them until Lipretere came for her again. "Why not?"
"She's not as active in the Power Ranger world. She's only active when something comes after her like Lipretere and it is only until we defeat that being. I…I didn't just cheat on her. There's a lot that happened that time I was evil," Tommy stated as they looked at him with understanding. "You're not going to ask what I did?"
"I was possessed by Lucifer- it doesn't get much more evil than that," Sam said as Tommy stared at him. Lucifer? Like the devil, Lucifer? "I also didn't have a soul for a bit, so I had no moral compass at all. Your evil sounds a lot less...drastic...with that being in my past."
"And I thought my life was fucked up," Tommy muttered as Sam and Dean jerked around to face him. "What do you need from us?"
"What can you do?" Bobby asked as Tommy shook his head and gave him a wry smile. "Is it better to ask what you can't do?"
"I don't know the rules in this world. We've been pretty powerful in any world that we've gone to where our powers come with us, but we've never been to a world like this before. We could be stronger than anything you've ever met or there could be wild consequences for everything we do. We'll have to figure it out as we go," Tommy stated as they all noted his candor and his confidence. He wasn't going to try to fool them, but he was still a bit of a loose cannon. "When Lipretere comes for us- you don't want to be anywhere near it."
"We don't scare easily," Dean said as Tommy shook his head. They didn't have powers to protect themselves and Lipretere would tear through them like they were nothing.
"This is different. You have your expertise- I have mine. I can help you and you may be able to help us. Ultimately though, I just want to get Kim back to our world and let her go on about the life she wants to live," Tommy said as he turned to walk back out of the room. He needed rest, but he also needed to know that they weren't going to just abandon them to this world. "Think on it and let me know the price. I'll see what I can do to get Kim on our side."
AN: Poll for the readers- what are you 'essential' Power Rangers Episodes from MMPR, Zeo, and Dino Thunder? Say you had 10 episodes (total) to encapsulate the most important parts from those of three teams - what would they be? Let me know in a comment or feel free to private message me. There *may* be an episode where Tommy and Kimberly get to watch Power Rangers in the works. ;)
