I think we spend too much time thinking about Adrien buying a bunch of Ladybug merch and not enough time thinking about him making his own. Taking all those boring white Gabriel pieces of clothing and dyeing them red. Painstakingly adding spots to them. Marinette teaching him how to sew so he can rip apart his old clothes and use the fabric to make something new. Embroidering "Lady's Man" onto clothing he already wears. Learning how to crochet so he can make LB plushies.

hopefully my last flatmate rant but hello this is not a drill, I got a spot in a student dormitory!! I'll know tomorrow when exactly I can move in but it will probably be very soon, and as soon as I know, I'm letting my landlord know I'm leaving and why exactly and be petty as hell on my way out and enjoy my new freedom 🥳🥳🥳

Has anyone moved their collection (dolls, furniture, clothing, all of it) recently (or ever)? I’m moving in the not-so-distant future, and it’ll be my first time moving since I’ve really started collecting - the last time I moved, my childhood AG/doll stuff was still boxed up at my parents’ house and I only moved one doll (Diana) and her little suitcase of clothes and accessories. I have exponentially more stuff now 😅 I still have plenty of time to plan it all out, but I can’t stop thinking about it. I don’t even have that large of a collection compared to some people, but the thought of trying to pack and move it all is so overwhelming!

#future here meaning like. a year #but ive already been trying to downsize EVERYTHING i own including doll stuff bc ik the motto is generally ‘have less stuff-move less stuff’ #the ‘house’ and shelf system i have for the doll rooms are easy enough to disassemble and move but it’s all the stuff INSIDE that worries me #i can just see this easily turning into a 700 box project and i want to avoid moving massive amounts of stuff #i also feel like this is when things like shoes and small accessories are lost #especially with the doll furniture - say i remove the legs on addy’s bed to better pack it - then the legs get lost somewhere along the way #the actual dolls i think are a bit easier - i think wrap each in a t shirt or towel to protect hair and vinyl #and then all put into a few backpacks or maybe one of those big plastic tote boxes #my posts

this is probably the only time i will ever say this about any movie musical. but ive seen the stage show and the new movie and i can definitely say i preferred the movie. it fixed so many of my problems with the musical and honestly the story just works better onscreen to me

with learning the history of clothing, the more I get a rock in my shoe about manufacturing. like i think a lot about how the way out of capitalism is to go back to an artisan model of society. because things that are well made by hand last so much longer, and it allows for more artistic expression and the evolution of culture.

this is not me trying to romanticize the past or anything, or that automation and manufacturing is all bad, but when one of the things killing the planet is overconsumption and cheaply produced items, then I start to think a lot about how corporations as a whole shouldn't exist and be okay with having less stuff.

The friendship harem has started up some good old analog correspondence, so I fell down a fountain pen rabbithole and splurged on some new materials. Did I choose a very expensive ink purely because it was glass green and named Cinderella’s Slipper? Absolutely.

In the meantime, I dug out a very old, inexpensive dried up pen that I have no idea where it even came from. Took it apart and tossed the nib and cartridge into a bottle full of water to dissolve the old ink.

Something about this image of my dimly lit desk covered in art supplies and papers and random junk, with a bottle of bright blue water smack in the middle of it is immensely pleasing?? No idea why.

Anyway, perhaps I will pick up a bottle of less expensive, more versatile blue-black ink tomorrow so I can put my cheap pen to use while I wait for my nice pen to arrive.
