OMG, thank you im glad you love them because i actually love writing them.

• You met him at the mall…the prada store to be exact, you weren’t necessarily shopping more so just debating on a purse or a pair of boots.

•You were a stylist in japan and your clients loved your American style although they had way cooler clothes. Safe to say business was flourishing.

•Yet here you are trying not to blow through money too fast so you were Legit window shopping.

.•The last thing you expect is a white haired man to stand next to you and startle you, you assume he’s going to say something about your hair as most people had done i mean you were a black person in japan.

• He’s holding a few bags and a cup you initially assume he’s blind because of the blindfold but when he begins to talk about the shoe, your slightly confused but you have decorum so you don’t say anything.

• “I’ve had my eye on the bag for a few weeks but they just dropped the new boots so I’m debating” you say and what’s $950 To any normal person its like a penny to him.

• “How about i buy both and you wear them on our first date” he says smoothly leaning up against the glass window and you laugh at first until you realize hes dead serious. You weren’t use to men here flirting with you and it makes you nervous.

• “Usually people start off with their names” you tell him before introducing yourself as you hold out your hand which he places a kiss on.

• “Gojo Satoru” lifting his blindfold revealing the brightest blue eyes you’ve ever seen

• You also notice he has a tag hanging off his shirt and it cost $1500.

• You decline him buying the stuff for you but accept his offer for a date. What’s the worst that could happen?

• He doesn’t know what he’s expecting when he sees you, he thought you were already gorgeous at the mall but looking at you right now it makes something… stir.

• He told you to dress cute but casual he was taking you sight seeing— he never mentioned it would be in a helicopter over the city.

• It’s obvious this man has money to blow and you contemplate looking him up to figure out just who he is.

• He also brings the shoes and bag as a gift, he couldn’t resist! Plus he likes loves the way your face initially lights up before trying to be humble and give it back.

• He lies and tells you its rude to not accept gifts.

• “Gojo i cant accept this without you knowing all about me…” you speak pouting knowing the good time was coming to an end and while the shoes and bag looked perfect you had to confess.

• “Its the wrong size?” He asked looking at your foot and back at the box on the table.

•“What? No strangely enough you got the right size…im asexual”

•“…thats… cool. I can write with both hands too”

“Gojo thats ambidextrous! Asexual means—“

• “Im just kidding sweetheart, of course i know what it means”

•He definitely did not and googled it under the table.

• You know the meme “we hung out once and weve been together ever since” that was you two.

• The next few weeks he finds time to either take you to breakfast, lunch or dinner and on days hes completely free he’ll take you on some one of a kind date experience.

• Hes a kid at heart so when you take him to a virtual reality place and literally fight to pay, you have to distract him by kissing him and biting gently on his lower lip.

•He loved it nobodys every paid for anything for him and the fact that you planned the date, paid and had a great experience hes lovestruck.

• He ended up paying since he put a hole in the wall fighting demons in the game mentioning something about it feeling to real.

•Its when 3 of his students run into you two and their shocked he’s not harassing you and actually enjoying voluntarily spending time with him, mainly because he has no idea who you are.

• Nobara follows all of your socials loving your day in the life videos, style advice videos even when you have your celebrity clients in the videos.

•Its megumi knowing who you are and thinking you’re cool that seals the deal for him.

•Gojo loves your cooking so the day you pack him leftovers with a cute smiley face and a note hes literally on the desk kicking his feet in the air… weirding out his students. This was next level even for him.

•They beg to bring you around loving seeing him happy with you.

•Its a collective though and nobara who wants to enjoy regular teen things breaks the ice officially by asking

“Take this dollar or have sex with Gojo-sensei?”

“Give me the dollar” at the same time he shouts her name. Hes also taken aback cause what do you mean youre going to take the dollar.

“No babe i dont think you heard the question take a dollar or—“

“Give me the dollar”

•For the rest of the day Gojo chooses to be dramatic from the grocery store to the hair supply store where guess whos short $1 of buying hair supplies. You turn to him seeing hes fascinated with the hair clips and different color edge controls.

•“Hey sweetheart i think you should get all of these” he suggest ready to pick them all up waiting on your command.

•“Hey babe im short” you tell him and he scoffs not paying you any mind looking at the conditioners catagorized by hair type.

“I knew that when i first seen you… what’s your hair type? Does 4b mean 4 everyone? Like your down for interracial dating… how do they know that by hair type? Like hard wig soft life?” He rambles and you almost lose it.

“No im short $1” and he sends you the most devious smirk as he holds open his wallet repeating the question Nobara asked.

“Give me the dollar” you smirk back watching his smile be taken over by a glare as he gives the cashier his card to pay for everything instead.

“Dont give me that look baby, im rich now come on i ordered a package for you” he loves to buy you things he jokingly ask siri how much the world cost one time.

“Satoru it better not be another pair of prada shoes” you scold as he carries the bags, his silence tells you everything you need to know though.

“Babe I’m running out of space to put all the stuff you bought me, please” you pout loving that this was a problem in your relationship and not anything else.

“I have enough space… You can live with me instead”

author's note: i never had written this much before???? clearly got too carried away lmao. hope you like it!! has some back and forth in the "timeline", italics are supposed to be memories!

being mason’s twin, and five minutes younger than him, it was no surprise to anyone when you started to follow him around everywhere he went, like a lost puppy. for the first few years of your life, he was your best friend, just as you were his. growing up as obsessed with football as him was a natural progression, and fully expected after seeing how much you enjoyed playing ball with your brother and his friends.

that's how you first met christian.

"hey, y/n, is it cool if we pick up a friend? his car bro-" mason tried to explain, as if you could get mad at him for helping a friend out. you were arriving early to training anyways, so picking up his friend wouldn't do any damage.

"it's okay, mason, it's your car" you laughed, still appreciating the fact that he was asking for your approval before actually doing it, making sure that you were comfortable.

since that day, even when his car was fixed, christian would always tag along you two for a ride to cobham. at first, he started making excuses, trying to not raise suspicions about his sudden interest in joining his friend to go to training. then, the visits to your brother’s house started growing exponentially, wishing and waiting that, someday, you'll be there. and when you were, the day just couldn't get any better for him: watching movies, playing games, cooking and eating the cookies he wasn't supposed to eat -because of his diet- only to hear your laugh was the highlight of his day. and because mason, who was involved since the beginning, -unfortunately for you two- had eyes and ears, he could see how you two looked at eachother and how you laughed harder when it was one of you that told the joke, even if they weren't half as funny. all of these facts he recollected quietly, helped him figure out what was happening quickly. quicker than the protagonists, at least.

"is there something going on between you and my sister ?" he asked suddenly, one day after training.

christian could feel how the blood drained from his face, leaving his whole upper body cold. he thought that, maybe, he could have a month or two more before confronting his friend about it. bust most importantly, before confronting his own feelings. after all, he had started dating a girl a few weeks before meeting you, and he felt like an asshole. she was nice, sure, but she wasn't you.

"we're just friends, mate. why?"

he smiled, nodding, like he had answered correctly. at least, it was the answer mason wanted to hear. he said, in a jokingly tone, shoving him softly, "great. didn't feel like murdering my best friend for cheating on his girlfriend with my sister, you know?".

you had met christian's girlfriend, avery, at a game held at the bridge. you used to be there every game you could, always cheering for your brother and your best friend, but it was that particular game the first time that you saw her there, even when you knew that they had been dating for quite a bit. still, when you saw the girl, you understood why he had chosen her: she was like a dream, taken right out of a hollywood movie. but not only because of her perfect, model-like figure: she seemed sweet and kind, a girl perfect for christian, who, in your eyes, deserved nothing but the best. you were actually excited to have finally met her, hoping to get a girl friend to hangout with, someone who you could talk about your love life without feeling weird about it, like it happened when you tried to talk about love with your american friend sometimes. you had started off on a good foot, and christian was glad to see you two getting along.

you had disappeared to the bathroom quietly during halftime, wanting to come back as fast as possible to not miss anything. apparently, christian's significant other had gotten the same idea, entering the bathroom a few minutes before you, just as you were about to exit the cubicle. you could hear her and her friend, who she came along with, talking about someone, so you didn't dare come outside just yet, opting to stay quietly.

wrong choice.

you guessed that her friend was the one talking, since you didn’t quite recognize her voice. "who's that girl that's been screaming nonstop?", she said, and you cringed internally when you realized that it was probably you. confirmation hit a few seconds later, when avery shared the information with her.

"that's christian's best friend".

she giggled, loud and obnoxious, like the mean, popular girls in teenage drama movies did. "god, she's so annoying". you figured it was too late now to get out of the cubicle, even if you didn’t want to hear more about their conversation, fearing you could learn what she really thought about you. oblivious to your presence in the room, the other girl continued. "did you see how long she hugged him before he left? she's 100% in love with him" she joked, and even when you knew that it was a lie -at least, that was what you told yourself each time someone commented about your relationship with christian-.

the self doubt started to hit harder when the girl you had just met, who pretended to be friendly with you, continued to tell her friend what she had learned from your previous encounter. "i know, right? i just met her and i already can't stand her".

god, why were they taking so long? why couldn’t they just leave?

you didn't want to know more information, you had learned enough to last you a lifetime. certainly, enough to keep your distance with avery.

and with christian too.

"if she bothers you that much, why don't you make him choose?" her friend suggested, and your racing thoughts feared that she already had delivered her ultimatum. after all, she was his girlfriend, and it was a no-brainer that he would choose her.

and when you thought that, surely, it couldn't get worse, it did.

"it's insignificant, really. he'll never pick her. he already told me she's mason's little sister, so she's like a little sister to him too".

getting out of the bathroom just in time before the whistle blew, indicating the start of the second half, and having to sit next to avery and offer her a smile, was one of the hardest things you had to do. at least, during that day.

after the incident, you decided to keep your distance. no longer going to the bridge in fear of crossing paths again and having to pretend that you didn’t hear what she said, putting on a friendly mask, was enough to convince you that it wasn’t your place anymore. it had been difficult to justify your choice with christian, who inquired you about it the first weekend you missed, and they unfortunately had lost the match. eventually, you figured that you couldn't lie to him about being sick every weekend, so you made something up, like your schedule with college had just gotten too crazy to handle in the last couple of weeks.

mason, knowing you like the palm of his hand, didn’t buy it. but he also knew that he shouldn’t push it, and you would, in due time, tell him what was going on. he was your twin brother, after all. you couldn’t hide the truth from him forever.

that was how you ended at christian’s birthday party, without wanting to. all thanks to your brother’s persuasion.

it had started well, really. you had greeted the birthday boy when you two arrived at his once, but since then, he seemed to have banished from the face of the earth, and you, for once, were glad with his disappearance.

to endure the night, you had resolved to alcohol, which proved to have been not the wisest decision when it was time to meet with christian again, all warnings made by your sober brain about not going near him, in case his girlfriend was close, flew right through the wind when the first drop of alcohol entered your bloodstream. that was how you ended up dancing with him, maybe a bit too close to be excused as just friendly.

"stay away from him" a female voice was heard from behind you when you went to grab another drink. in your drunk, slurred brain, you couldn’t decipher who she was referring to, even if you recognized it was avery speaking. "what? from who?".

the girl rolled her eyes, clearly annoyed at your ignorance. "don't play silly now. you know christian's with me. he's about to propose, and there's no place for the both of us, so back off. I don't care that you're his fucking best friend or whatever shit you made him believe. he'll never chose you over me".

the harshness in her tone had drained the alcohol out of your system, and you found yourself to be in an awkward position after processing what she had just said.

proposing?

unknown to you, christian was looking for you, since you had disappeared from his sight for far too long. when he saw the two of you, a confused expression was painted on his features, and his anger grew at hearing what she was telling you, even if he just got to catch the last part. "what the fuck are you talking about, avery?".

"I'm sick of her. you'll have to choose. it's me or her".

he frowned at her request, but still made his way over to you, standing so close that you could feel his chest touching your back. "i thought that i had made it clear that we’re over" he coldly said. the girl in front of you let out a furious scream, face turned red, and shoving whoever came in her way, earning herself some nasty glares. clearly avery had thought that you were the reason behind their breakup, but honestly, you had no idea that they weren’t together anymore, after almost totally cutting contact with him to avoid her. nevertheless, her plan of getting to talk to you alone and draw you away from him had clearly backfired.

“why didn’t you tell me before that she was mean to you?” christian said, with a stoic expression. you shrugged, “thought that you would have believed her instead”. he shaked his head in clear disagreement, questioning you again. “was she the reason you stopped going to the matches?”. having never been capable of lying to christian, even if it would be wise to hide the information to him, you conceded. “you’ve caught me”.

mason, who was hearing everything at a prudent distance as to not be seen, joined you two before christian could actually react to what you just had admitted. “can you start going again then? christian can’t score a goal even if his life depended on it if you aren't cheering him on from the stands,” he grinned, cheshire cat’s smile painted on his face, as he saw the faces of the two people that he appreciated the most, a shade of red. “mason!” you two groaned in unison, embarrassed at how the english one had put you on display.

Kyle “gaz” Garrick

Gaz is ACTUALLY the type of guy who can listen to everything. I totally see him listening to Nirvana in the morning, 2Pac the day, and Adele the night. Mainly into american rap and hip-hop tho, probably a huge Gorillaz fan.

I KNOW he hates phonk, i just do. He really hates it. He surprisely really likes Price's music tastes, and always ask him for new songs recommandations. Vibes with John because they have similar tastes when it comes to pop.

Always listens to music when he's working out, walking outside or chilling, always has earphones on him. ALWAYS. Definitely has many playlists for every situations.

Used to listen to electro and techno all the time. Was so sure he could rap like Eminem when he was in middle school...

Simon “ghost” Riley

This man has serious anger issues, and that's the only reason why i think he listens to metal. He's a chill metalhead tho, like, he doesn't go to festivals or any event. A Slayer and Cannibal Corpse lover, he likes it fast and hard.

And surprisely, im 100% sure bro loves metalcore and nu metal (he probably listens to Slipknot religeously...) Enjoys jazz and sad rock songs when he's home alone. Radiohead saved his life. Says he hates everyone's music tastes except Price's.

Pretends he doesn't listen to music, and he never does in public. (And he actually doesn't often, only when he's off duty.)

Used to be a Nirvana teenager, the basic Kurt Cobain lover. Probably tried to learn how to play guitar when he was younger, and sucessed to have a decent level.

John “soap” Mactavish

Johnny is a radio music tastes guy. He listens to whatever comes on the radio. Harry Styles? Of course. Mäneskin? Pretty sure he loves them. Even Lady Gaga? HELL YEAH!

But, we all agreed that our Johnny boy is a pround scottish man. And i love to think that he actually listens to that angry scottish music. 100% Sure he loves Imagine Dragons and Ed Sheeran... He thinks Ghost's music tastes are cool as fuck.

He hates earphones and headphones, he needs everyone to listen to his playlist with him. He randomly starts to sing, whistle or hum when he's slightly bored.

He never tried to do anything with music, he knows damn well he can't sing even if he loves to do it as a joke.

John “bravo 0-6” Price

Good old rock. A good Black Sabbath on Spotify while he drinks some whiskey at home is always good. Knows a lot of rock (and some 80's metal) bands, thats why he gets along with Ghost's tastes so well. He's a nostalgic man, he has tones of vinyls at home.

Kyle influenced what he listens to a lot, im sure they made a playlist for eachother. Really likes Gorillaz just because Kyle loves it. Nothing more to say, this man's tastes are perfects.

Usually only listen to music when he's alone, but won't hesitate to give song recommandations if you ask nicely. If you're way younger than him, he'll laugh and tell you won't like any of that because you're not old enough to apreciate best things.

Used to wanna be in a band when he was a teen, but he quickly gave up. Can play the acoustic guitar pretty well and has a nice voice.

8. Mad Machine

I will not apologize for the long pause. That last chapter was hefty I deserved a little break to uh. (checks watch) play an mmo too much

This is actually an interesting concept. All the humans have to work robotic jobs that day that can't be left unattended...? Or are there essential robotic workers?

As I tend to do, when I think about this I think about how I would interpret it into a more believable take in this day and age - I'd say it's more like tax day. There's a day of the year all working robots must have maintenance checks by, and approaching that date tends to have a LOT of robots out of work (even though their employer/owner Could likely do it earlier). This would also mean that it's more like, "oh, the post office is closed because it's their maintenance day" and that would kind of make it into a whole Season of odd closures. That's a little less fun than all of them having the same day off though.

(Note: I'm assuming that there are technologies that can just check maintenance For robots without it being individual humans, so there is no issue of "there's not enough practitioners available on that day" (although the lines for like, independently owned robots on that day would be Hellish). So if you have, like, a chef robot that you own, at some point before that date you have to have their maintenance forms filled and sent to some governing body. Then again, this is likely a somewhat american approach. Given that i just compared it to tax day immediately. I understand it's meant to be more like a day off for robots here.)

Then again, it being a maintenance thing doesn't resolve the fact that it seems to be more of a labor day than anything else.

Also they have a GUN ROBOT enforcing this. thats insane. Robots cant harm humans WHO.

I have a feeling he's Already famous. But that's nice, Atom's dad. Also I included the first picture because he's cute.

It being a big holiday Every Month seems like a lot infrastructure wise since robots are so vital to the runnings of the city and the world at large. My Personal Interpretation of How to Do This If I Were Doing a Modern Astro Boy Interpretation (MPIHDTIIWDMABI, henceforth) (I will not remember this acronym) would be that it's simply a requirement and the date robots get off varies from robot to robot. More like a standard labor practice than a holiday.

I could be wrong, but I believe this character is used in Astro 2003 for the "Shrink Down And Enter Uran's Body" episode. His name in the dub was something like Dr. Minimini.

Hey, this is sort of what happens with the sun flares in Metropolis!

This seems like the worst day to enact this as it would have the Most effect on a day robots are working already.

I'm just sharing this one with you because it's possibly one of my favorite Ochanomizus I've seen this read through. I don't know what it is about him.

More Alaska Headcanon Ideas (because I said so)

-Due to Alaska's crime rates being much higher than the national average (i know this is cause the lesser amount of people the greater the rates would be but shush) Alaska has very strong intrusive thoughts and it sometimes makes him distressed

-Alaska probably got Anomic Aphasia. I did notice Alaska struggles with names (mostly gov's) but like, most of the time he only says their names after another says it so like, yeah.

-Alaska knows things about the states, he can associate them with things, he knows what they look like and what they're like, he just can't remember their names for the life of him (like when he recognized Florida is the Sunshine State)

-The aphasia also is the reason why Alaska can't be bothered to try to remember what lanes he's in and just uses moose and or bears as a point of reference, that, and he tends to just know his way around via visual checkmarks

- things just blur together to him much more easily compared to the others, that's why he uses terms such as the Lower 48, Outside (anywhere outside of Alaska), The Bush (the majority of Alaska that isn't accessible by road)

-He can remember Texas' name well cause Texas says his own name a lot - usually to refer to things large in size (Alaska picks on him for it obviously)

-Alaska, California, and Hawai'i all have a small history together that no one really knows of and it all ties back to when Alaska was suffering under the Russian American Company

-this one is just a joke but yesterday I heard a kid say their parents were gonna go away to get wood for winter soon, so imagine if Alaska was like "no guys i do have parents theyre just chopping wood it takes a long time no they didn't leave"

-Raven is basically a parental guide/figure to Alaska.

-Alaska and California discuss bears (the peak of evolution)

-He does put his hair up sometimes, but humanity isn't ready to see that

-Alaska's room is full of trinkets i've decided. Mostly little souvenirs he's gotten from around his state. From finding things during hikes or cool little things from small stores

-Alaska and Florida are buddies. Reason being? Florida has stated before that he thought Alaska was mysterious and cool, and their debates of who is the more dangerous/badass state wasn't heated, also Florida respected Alaska's wishes of being left alone when Gov wanted him to call Alaska (i have some more examples)

-Since Alaska has been shown twice not caring about nudity, I would doubt he does not care much about what he wears either. He's also spectacular on heels btw. My excuse for thinking this is cause moose technically in a way travel on heels (the heels being their hooves)

-calling Snowmachines 'snowmobiles' makes you a loser in Alaska's eyes. Like why would you call it that.

-Alaska loves chocolate but very much is not all that for candy

-He likes to be straight forward and gets to the point pretty often, states like New York appreciate that

-His spatial awareness is ASS. Alaska bumps into doorways and furniture all the time and it's hell for both him and the smaller states

-He tends to work along the flow of the seasons rather than the days, for example, when its fall it's the state's final burst of energy to get things done before the winter stillness, bears and all kinds of animals do this too

-he does indeed hibernate. Maybe not every year, but he could use it

i'll update this throughout the day if more ideas come to me

Updated ideas:

-Alaska is very strong minded. Mostly due to living all this time throughout isolation, he's grown to learn how to stay sane for a very long time and remember who he is

-he tends to get homesick quickly, sure, he has a strong mind but thats mostly for his sanity. But yeah, when the states moved into the statehouse he was the probably the first to become homesick

Shout out to my fellow singlets with "innerworlds/headspaces" (quotation marks as im not sure this is the correct term for a singlet to use!).

A long description of my inner world and the way my brain works is found below....

I am a maladaptive daydreamer and autistic and i have a very detailed inner world / worlds / universes that i interact with very often. I call mine my inside brain. I visualize it as a world in the center of my brain (if all brain functions were on the outer shell, this world is inside like a bubble). It is infinite. It has layers and depth and it can be zoomed in and out to different parts of it. It can also be "swiped" to a different world (i have two main ones) as well as there being many alternate versions of each world. They grow and change with me and what i need most at that time. I only interact with one main one these days but i keep the old one there, in ruins, to remind me of where ive been and how that part of me is now gone and i have a new inner world now. I also have the mind palace (inspired by bbc sherlock) which is on the edge of my "brain" and "inside brain" where i store all important things such as memories and facts in filing cabinet rooms, and there i can project the memories onto the "inside brain" to watch them the same way i watch the characters in the inside brain!!!! Its great fun honestly and has pretty much saved my life as it gives me a safe space no matter where i am. All i have to do is dissociate and go in there and im safe from harm :3 it also helps with academics because the mind palace has a black board room and a few visualizing rooms that i can do math on and picture any words ive read in respectively.

Its very hard to explain how i interact with this "inner world" because i am a singlet and its just me (and my characters who are like dolls, i control everything they do and say and how they look and act etc etc) in there. Its not like a hallucination, its entirely in my head and i watch from different angles like from the perspective of a movie camera. And i can still see the world around me when im in there. Id describe it like dreaming while awake but i am in full control, so its a daydream really, but in the same space every time and its a very detailed world.

My inner conscious is also in there. His name is Harri. His appearance and personality is who i want to be and how i want to look and his voice is how i want to sound, but he does have a different life to me such as he is Australian American and is adopted, and he has hEDS, which I do not have (but many of my family members do). Idk if its weird that he has a disability i dont have but he just does, thats not something i chose, he just started appearing with braces and a crutch and i was like oop- okay then 🤣 yeah anyway Harri is a cool dude idk, hes 38 and hes like my best friend. He replaced the guy from my old inner world who was called Bill (he was technically just Bill Weasley but i changed him so much he was really an OC) but then things got bad with Bill and i had to start a nuclear war in that headspace to get rid of everything a start a new world.....my brain is weird.

Anyway I love my brain, I have to be careful to make sure I dont have a repeat of the Bill situation, but I avoid it by using only OCs and changing the story often so i dont get too sucked in to anything specific and start becoming delusional and dysphoric about not being a 50 something year old ginger wizard from Ireland- yeah.....that happened. I also started having memories of things that happened to him (which was not good because he had a very violent life) and becoming triggered when watching HP movies because I would remember being abused by certain characters 😬

Nowadays i know how to control my mind better so it stays safe most of the time! But yes that is my brain and my innerworld lmao, feel free to share your own experiences (both singlets and systems!!)!

Also bonus fact: my innerworld was actually my special interest for about 3 years? It was hard to explain so i said my spin was harry potter but it was actually my inner world that was based off of harry potter lol

I have officially lived in El Paso for a year but if anybody asks I've only been here for a few months ok. I gotta still use that "I'm new here" excuse. But here's my thoughts on this city from an outsiders point of view looking in. This is in no way to shame any persons or cultures, it is just me pointing out differences compared to other places I've lived.

So first things first, I have lived in many places in my life and every time I move, the locals ALL say the same things "Nothing ever happens here/its boring here/theres nothing to do here/we have the worst drivers". Everybody self depreciates and never has anything nice to say about where they live.

El Paso has what I consider some major positives to me. Because it does have things to do here. Theres an outdoors community. There are hikers and there are outdoor rock climbers. I suppose somebody out there goes hunting but I don't know anything about that. I'm sure theres somewhere to go kayaking too. But we are in the desert and theres a lot of brown, so its different than outdoors on the east coast.

There is shopping. I really care about "living in suburbia" I want, what I consider, my "luxury" stores. Before I move I google the stores a town/city has because if they can afford to have certain stores then they probably have a level of comfort that I enjoy in my every day life. El Paso does have a huge, living mall. Malls are dead and dying elsewhere, you're lucky to see a bath and body works in some places. El Paso, does have one thats alive. Which is an oddity these days. It doesn't have a food court but it does have the new Abercrombie adult line and an athleta and a lululemon and your boxlunch stores. It has some cool anime and gaming stores. It has a lot of those japanese gotchupon machine things. Like its very nice. On the other side of the mall they have a kpop store. They can afford things like those sushi restaurants with the conveyor belts. They have an outdoor outlet mall with a disney store!!!! (!?!??!), a whole foods (!!!1) and ofcourse other things like top golf and one of those touristy skydiving places. The few things this city is missing is theres no IKEA, no REI, no bass pro shop. But I was honestly just happy to have a homegoods and a super target. The one walmart and super target they have down here are REALLY nice. Thats probably setting the bar low but when you're used to driving an hour+ away to get to these things, its amazing to have them.

Also, I've been a spanish student for many years now and I really wanted to obtain some form of immersion. I could literally walk to Juarez. I can look out my window and see Juarez. There is spanish here. I have learned a TON since moving here.

now some of the odd things that I've noticed: again this is not to attack anybody. Just because I'm not a fan doesn't necessarily mean anything is in the wrong, its just different and culture shock. I think this is the weirdest place I've ever lived in and we lived in Japan and Albuquerque, ok.

Again, the spanish language. Not a jab, I wanted to learn and I'm learning but it takes a special type of person to learn a new language, especially as an adult. America is so huge that in many places you are lucky to hear something other than english every blue moon. People here in El Paso have told me "you don't need spanish to live here" but they do NOT understand that the amount of spanish spoken here is so foreign that it feels like you're in a different country. The last time my brain felt this overwhelmed with another language was when we were traveling through Italy. The return plane trip back, when I heard an American accent for the first time, I literally felt like my brain melted in a sigh of relief. Thats how I feel here. You step outside and everything is in spanish. At walmart the signs are in spanish and the overhead announcements are in spanish (in english too, but in Powell Tennessee you are not going to see or hear anything in spanish) it is so blatantly in a different language. I can go an entire day at work and every single one of my patients speak spanish only. Even though I really wanted to learn and I want to say I'm conversationally fluent, it is so far outside my comfort zone, my brain wants to run back to east coast, so it can relax in english.

The other thing is, I have heard that El Pasoans are extremely friendly and they will welcome you into their houses and treat you like family and feed you food. Which is probably true and I have had coworkers feed me but the general population, outdoors, in public settings do not show friendliness the same. Again, I don't mean this negative, I don't mean that the population is a mean population, its just different.

When I first moved to Tennessee, we were looking for a house and we would get creeped out so bad by people. We would be driving through neighborhoods and everybody outside, whether they were walking their dogs or playing with their kids, they will stop to wave at you and smile like robots. If you are standing in line at the grocery store, the person behind you will start up a conversation with you about anything. They'll ask you how your day was and what you plan on doing later. Its a very overly creepy nice and it took a long time to get used to. They do similar in Georgia and Alabama. I could be an axe murderer and everybody smiles and waves at you. Its creepy.

somehow, I kinda miss it. Here in El Paso, you could be walking through a store, nobody is going to look you in the face, nobody is going to apologize for being in the way/moving out of the way/if they need to squeeze by. They wont shoulder check you, but they're not going to make room for you and they are not moving out of the way. Its the same thing when crossing the street in a parking lot. They're not going to look both ways before crossing the street. They're not going to apologize for walking out in front of a car. If I'm the pedestrian, a car is not going to stop for me. I have never heard one "I'm sorry/excuse me" since being here. Again in the southern east coast you tended to get caught in "no you first" arguments. Whether you're at a 4way stop or trying to cross the street. I could be walking my dog and I may try and wave a car on because it would be faster for the car to go first buts its a guarantee "sign language" fight of "no you go first" before I have to awkwardly sprint across the street because they insisted I go first. They don't do that in El Paso. It is very much everybody is in a personal bubble, they don't want to talk to you or acknowledge you and theres no self depreciating "Im sorry for existing, pardon me as I squeeze through here" like there is where I came from.

and the drivers too. So I would actually argue people drive vaguely slow here. I don't see many people driving faster than 65 other than the odd sports car. Everybody drives pretty slow but they are a literal almost 1million person population so there are A LOT of cars on the road in certain areas. The people here do not want ANYBODY in their lane. They do not want you to go any direction but straight. I may put my blinker on a couple exits in advance to let people behind me know I plan on getting over and that is the ONE time they will decide to speed up to prevent me doing so. I don't understand why. People will speed up to keep you from getting over and they may not even need in that lane. They'll keep you from getting over only for them to then need to keep left. Like, why? I hate driving just because of this. I got rearended twice when living in Savannah and I almost prefer their method of just speeding while playing on the cellphone more. I guess because obviously these people are paying attention while driving and their thought it obviously "OMG NO, YOU CANT GET HERE, SPEED UP" its such a jerk thing to do. I don't understand it.

which reminds me of other bizarre car behavior. It hailed here some odd weeks ago. And on the east coast, people will just leroy jenkins it and keep driving. Some people (like motorcycles) will get off the road, but if its a tornado or hurricane you just drive through it blind. For fun. Here, this is the first time I've ever seen this. Everybody squeezed their car to try and fit under the overpasses on the interstate. It was a 3 lane road and it wasn't just like a couple cars off the side of the road under the overpass, it was a good 20 cars smooshing at awkard angles to fit under this overpass and blocking all interstate traffic until the rain stopped. I kinda like zigzagged and squeezed my car through to get past the stopped cars. NEVER seen that EVER. So WEIRD.

but otherwise, the other thing El Paso has going for it is I've actually managed to find a coffee shop I like more than Starbucks. I've been to many a home-town coffee shop that just tastes like dirtwater. I feel like surpassing starbucks taste shouldn't be that hard. But I found one here. Best iced coffee and el-paso-mex cafe food.

but I'm ready to leave here for sure. Do not want to be here for another 6 months.

Okay so I have to asks this…. Are you going to be packing an outfit for when you go to Disney? Because I see a lot of TikTok’s of Americans packing and making sure they have their Disney outfits for going to Disney. And I just don’t get it, is it like a thing to be decked out in Disney clothes when going to Disney.

I’m not the biggest fan and I’ve never been a “I wanna go to Disneyland gal.” But I’m just intrigued what the deal is.

I so hope you have a magical time, and looking forward to seeing pictures (if your happy to share)

So I like the idea of disney bounding, where you wear outfits in colours of the characters. So like a red top and a yellow skirt for winnie the pooh etc. And when I planned our trip for 2020 I had planned to do this but then covid happened and we never went.

I don't have the suitcase space this time to do that, I also only have 2 days for the parks so its not really worth it for me.

As for wearing disney clothes to disney, thats not my vibe, I don't really get it either? it feels like a bragging thing? to me its the same as wearing a gucci shirt with the lego plastered on it, I think its tacky. but also I am not going to yuck someones yum, if you want to do it go right ahead!

plus the only disney clothes I own are pyjamas 🤣

Don't get me wrong, I will def be buying a disney jumper or t-shirt while I am there, since it is halloween and they do cute stuff for halloween.

I do have some really cool custom 'mickey ears' but they are Sam from trick r treat the horror movie, so I am planning on taking those.

for me going to disneyland is a life long dream, I first saw disneyland on a tv show when I was 5 and I begged to go, and it was my wish every year for my birthday. I grew up extremely poor, like in poverty poor so it was never going to happen. But now as an adult who has their own money and is considered upper middle class I am able to go, and I love theme parks, I love fast rides etc.

We've always talked about going to the US and disney was obviously on the list for both of us to experience.

I am doing so many bucket list things on this trip that its pretty much healing my inner child!

I promise I will share photos! this tumblr community has been so amazing and supportive of me so I want to share my joy!

my cats! the oldest is named pixie. (she was really tiny when we got her & i was obsessed with fairies when i was younger lol) and ive had her since kindergarten. so like a LONG time. shes a mean old lady now but i love her. the other two are siblings! theyre a few years old but still act like kittens & their names are mike and el (yes after the stranger things characters i dont wanna talk about it) which is very unfitting because the cats are SIBLINGs but the characters are in a relationship. (for the record i suggested artemis and apollo as names but was swiftly shut down. i have a family of haters)

and yes we dont get snow here. at least my part of canada. i live at pretty much sea-level on the coast so its just rain sadly. but pretty much like. every other part of canada will see snow in the winter at some point or another !

and pansy x percy? wait i kinda love that. never wouldve thought of them together but they actually sound cute.

and yes. the shadowhunters chronicles is based on hp fanfic. BUT i read somewhere it was actually draco x ginny so every day i pray thats true. (hey another rarepair) but fear not the series is actually good. and theres like a million sequel & prequel series within it so you dont really have time to think about the incest .

and yes podg! the movie with ben barnes is a HORRIBLE adaptation. like its so different from the book so beware. but its still mildly entertaining bc ben barnes is gorgeous so.

poutine! omg im so glad you asked me this question. in short its just french fries covered in gravy and cheese curds. a lot of people think it sounds gross/think it looks gross (it does look...questionable sometimes) but i SWEAR its so good. very good comfort food & and strangely good when you go to the movies.

unpopular marauders opinion......hmm. maybe that barty would be well suited as a ravenclaw? i know his house has never been confirmed but he canonically got 12 OWLS so the boy is SMART plus he SLAYED being the DADA prof. (not that other houses arent smart. u know what i mean) (but i still love him in the slytherin gang. they have my whole heart)

unpopular opinion about life: its okay to be weird and just silly sometimes. some people are just so caught up in being "normal" that they forget that we're all just. people. like its okay to be silly and live our lives the way we want! (maybe not an unpopular opinion but i know there are people out there that are just. really stuck up & could do well to remember this LOL)

dream car - i dont drive so IDK LOL but ive always liked colourful cars. like give me a bright red or forest green or cobalt blue car. theres a SEVERE lack of colourful cars on the road nowadays its so sad.

ever broken a heart: i think i did indirectly whoops. but luckily only once. long story short one of my friends liked me on & off during high school, i got confrontational while heavily under the influence and told him i didnt like him that way. he DID ignore me for the rest of the year but yeah. the rest is history. i think he came out as gay recently so. good for him!

Oh yeah our styles clash so much, I think yancy would decorate our house with the typical like. American decor, and my latin self would have so Many trinkets, probably things from my country.

Also my decor is all over the place, I try to make it look nice but theres gonna be nerdy stuff, bottles I think are cool,movie posters, yance would probably have posters of his jaeger and other propaganda like that.

We would both agree to a nice kitchen, kinda like those cool motorbike clubs with the wooden counters and the like. (Dont know how to describe it)

What would i do with mako? At first I think I'd go to somewhere nice to eat breakfast, cozy and calm, probably really well decorated. Then I think we would spend the day shopping for things that mako would like, books, posters, Nerdy merch, music,etc.

Then at lunch we'd go somewhere like a fast food place,or somewhere we've been wanting to go for a while, and spend the afternoon watching a movie or go to see a play.

At night a fancy dinner, dress up and have fun! Maybe a place on the rooftop to see the night Sky and have deep and meaningfull talks! Probably go somewhere to take a walk after, buy a snack if the walk gets too Long while holding hands. (Noooo I dont have a crush on mako, me? Please!) Maybe stop by a lake and just talk in quiet hushes about things only the both of us are allowed to know, hold hands and cuddle close, our heads pressing togheter.

Teying to make an appointment by phone to make an appointment to see a doctor. Is the equilavent of an existemtial crisis. Ot is so stressful. It becomes an emergency. I hate this place. Call here no call there no, go online. No wait for an hour. No call back over there. Fuck you. No go wait iat the ER for 13 hours. For sevond rate service.

I had a micro hwart attack one day. I could feel a flake moving through my veins. A point of pressure. And pain moving from my heart to my right arm over the period of a couple weeks. Every day it would be further along where it dtarted at. After wiating. For 12 hours. Told me i have heart burn. I changed my diet. To something with high acidity levels. To reduce blood cloating. And eventually it went away sowmwhere in my right shoulder to arm area. Caus ei ate an entire block cake of pastry cake. My body did not like that.

Not an emergency. And im not worried. Not embarrased. Or any of that. So. Since ive been on the waoting list for a family doctor. But since i font have a family. And all that. Iver bene waiting for over what 5 years now.

But, it’s not all bad. After the innitial frustration of having to use a telephone. Because im ol’school. It was arranged pleasantly. As i wait probably on a mars venus transit to get a call.

The foreigner has a good hoscope. Moon in-conjunction sun. For the foreigncy. And a venus mars trine. Mostly all positive aspects. All happy go lucky.

And ih well for havign a jupiter in aqua and not being apart of a “union” for safety issues. Cancels out the demons. Of self expression. Oh well. Im not here to be on the active side or in the know about anything. Whether person, group or place. I did learn about one of the mechanics. That was cool. About the issues troubling him.
