The drawing I'm currently working on requires me to draw Sun's hands, so I figured sketching some for practice would be good. Boy howdy, somehow I forgot how difficult it is to draw those.
(Process and further explanation below cut)
My process here was to draw one of my own hands, than attempt to put a DCA-style hand over it. It was tough trying to figure out how the rigid finger casings and joints would fit and I'm sure these wouldn't actually function, but they look pretty good at a glance.
I knew going into this that my hands are much, much smaller than those of the Daycare Attendant, so proportions were going to be wildly inaccurate. Using the measurements from this guide by catspawcreates I determined what my hand would look like in comparison to the animatronic's, than drew the second image for fun practice.

In my continuing quest to learn more about Laura Ingalls Wilder as a writer beyond the Little House books, one of the most surprising things I've learned is that apparently she wrote a small collection of cutesy poems about nature fairies.
They were originally published in a children's column in the San Francisco Bulletin in 1915, and are apparently about a couple of fairy characters who paint flowers and bring dewdrops and bring about other natural phenomena. This post goes into more detail about the poems, and the interesting blend of practicality and whimsy that goes into her presentation of fairies.
It also provides one of the poems.
And this quote about the importance of giving children fairy tales that's almost Chestertonian.
Wilder explained why she preferred such magical images of natural processes in a column for the Missouri Ruralist called “Look for Fairies Now.” She argued that children needed tales of fairies to help them see beyond the surface and to use their imaginations. In the olden days, she explained, farmers left some of their harvest for the Little People who “worked hard in the ground to help the farmer grow his crops.” Perhaps this idea was just superstition, she continued, “but I leave it to you if it has not been proved true that where the ‘Little People’ of the soil are not fed the crops are poor. We call them different names now, nitrogen and humus and all the rest of it, but I always have preferred to think of them as fairy folk who must be treated right.
On the one hand, this feels like just another example of how it was apparently a requirement for female authors of a certain era to write cute nature fairy poems. But with the context of the quote, it's also surprisingly fitting for who she is as an author.

got read to filth by the physiotherapist today
[ID: a three-panel sketchy comic. panel one depicts OP sitting in front of a physiotherapist with his hand laid on a table between them. The therapist is saying "We want to make sure you keep your wrist straight. Since you're hyperflexible you might tend to over-bend your joints to make them feel stable."
Panel two is a closeup of the therapist as they bend their wrist down and says: "You might even put weight on it or lie on it when you sleep to kind of keep it pinned. I know I do sometimes haha."
Panel three depicts OP, sweating nervously as he thinks of all the fucked up ways he holds his body to bend it or pin joints under his bodyweight. This includes images of him sleeping with his hands and feet pinned under himself, sitting hunched up with one foot tucked under his thigh, and lying on his stomach looking at his phone with one leg tucked between his stomach and the floor, and the other straight out. End ID]

im so sorry im so sorry but ur auau is delicious- and are u saying that garak did manage to hack into their shuttle info and find out their real last names because thats tHATS HIM. Thats hims names and also bashir so 👁️👁️ I am incoherent also you are so cool
I realize that i implied that there would be a situation where Iskra and Idan don't know EXACTLY what their yadek would do in the situation and prepare for it accordingly.
(Idan is at Quark's learning tongo, Iskra's hanging out in their shuttle still because it's climate-controlled and they both know Garak's going to break in.)
I don't even know how he'd react knowing that their visitors are Garak-Bashirs... there truly are no such thing as coincidences... but also ??????!!!!?????
