Light The Beacon: Chapter 2
It was about halfway into the flight to Vacuo, May called them yelling that someone from Salem's group had invaded the airship Qrow was fighting her the best he could with the civilians onboard while May herself was taking over as the pilot.
"The only ones who can fly between planes are Ruby and Oscar." Yang announced as Hazel was already shaking Oscar awake.
"We have a situation on Qrow's ship. Salem's group has infiltrated and he can't fight them." Oscar got up, activating his semblance and jumping from the airship to fly to Qrow's airship where Qrow, in bird form, was luring Cinder away from the airship to protect the civilians onboard.
Cinder finally managed to land a hit on the crow and Qrow was suddenly falling.
Oscar was about to go get him but a flash of rose petals meant that Ruby was catching her uncle and another flurry of them meant she was back on the team's ship with him while Oscar took his turn to lure Cinder from the airships.
The fight was easy once he spotted the Grimm arm she had. He took the opportunity away from the airships to use the same feeling he had during the fight with Salem and he heard her screaming when he regained his wits on his descent to the sea.
He reactivated his aura and flew back up to the airships, Ruby's petals guiding him back to the team's airship as he watched Cinder plummet into the ocean and the splash that came with it.
Their flight went unimpeded from there, no more of Salem's allies apparently aboard the airships or those who were there were just smart enough to not do what Cinder did and risk their life.
Landing outside Vacuo wasn't anything but a grumbling mess as they got everyone off the airships and a few in the group went to meet with Theodore, the headmaster of Shade as he came to greet them on the edge of town. Ruby brought Yang and Blake.
"Hello, Sir. My name is Ruby Rose, I hope you don't mind but we've brought the people of Atlas and Mantle here temporarily because their cities were destroyed just last night." She explained.
"It should be fine. We got your message from Amity Tower and we made room for any hunters to stay in the Shade dorms while the rest can stay in the hotels of the city."
"Thank you. So much. It means a lot that you'd help on such short notice." Ruby told him.
"To be truthful, I was rounding up for an army to send to Atlas. They would've gone out this morning." He told them.
"Thankfully, it didn't come to that." Ruby smiled a bit.
"Yes, thankful. Your people look famished. When we saw your aircraft coming, we started making food for those onboard." Theodore alerted them.
"Hell yeah, I'm starving." Yang muttered. Theodore chuckled and smiled at the girl.
"Sorry, she means that she hasn't eaten since yesterday. I don't believe anyone has, to be honest." Blake shoved Yang with her elbow a bit to quiet her complaints.
"Of course. With all that horror around, it must have been difficult, no doubt. Whenever you're all ready, brunch will be at the Shade dining hall for everyone, no need to rush yourselves." Theodore smiled fondly at them and then made his way off to Shade academy, the majority of people of Atlas and Mantle following him as the teams stayed behind to recuperate.
"That was horrible." May lamented.
"I know." Emerald sighed.
"We made it, though." Hazel told the girls, patting their shoulders.
"We did. And we can be proud of ourselves. We saved both cities, guys. That's nothing to scoff at!" Ruby practically jumped for joy.
"We know it was good, Rubes, but it was bad. And it's still bad. She'll only be gone for so long. Who knows when we have to do that again. We can't just forget about her and pretend to live normal lives like we did before." Yang pensively spoke as Hazel finally got Oscar, still asleep, from the airship.
"But Yang-"
"We basically hinged everything on Oscar. We basically piled work on him when he just unlocked his semblance. He's only fifteen, Ruby! He's a child and we brought him into the forefront of a war that we can't win! He's a kid, he can't fight a war, it's not possible!" Yang snapped.
"Did you think the same thing when I was fifteen? That I was incapable?" Ruby asked, eyes glaring at her older sister.
"No, but I hoped you wouldn't take after me or mom or anyone in our family! I wanted you to be different so I never had to worry about you maybe getting killed on a bloody battlefield for a war you can't win!"
"I'm sorry I'm not what you wanted." Ruby bit and turned, walking to Shade academy.
"Yang." Blake softly whispered.
"Don't...Don't yell at me. Please. I know that was wrong of me." Yang whispered.
"I was going to say it's okay. We're all stressed. We all need a break. Maybe we can take a day to all calm down. Everything is a lot right now and I get it. So just calm down and try to talk with her later." Blake assured her.
"Okay. Thank you, Blake." Yang smiled a bit. "How's our collective adopted son?" Yang asked.
"Oscar's fine. Still sleeping, actually. We should probably wake him before we head to Shade." Hazel told them softly, trying not to wake him.
"He's been asleep for about six hours and he was asleep for about six before that, are we sure he's okay?" Penny asked.
"He's fine. The semblance just takes a lot from him." Jaune told them, boosting Oscar's aura so he could regain his aura faster.
"So his semblance really was that thing flying around?" Robyn asked.
"Yup, looks like I’ve got a new flying buddy." Qrow smiled.
"Great, new bird child. Now you’ve gotta make a nest and shove him into it." Robyn joked, elbowing Qrow.
"Marrow, you okay?" May asked as he finally came out of the aircraft.
"I'm just really tired and in pain from Harriet trying to break my ribs during the flight." He heaved, glaring at the girl still tied up even while Elm and Vine no longer were. Vine was looking over Harriet and Elm was shaking that cloaked figure.
"Alright, come on." May started leading him to Shade. "When we get there, you're eating and laying down." She muttered to him.
"I know." He mumbled as he let her lead him.
"Alright. We should all eat. We need to wake up Oscar on the way there." Weiss told them.
"Yeah, I'm starving, let's get going." Yang told her, happily swinging her arms around Blake and Weiss and beginning to walk to Shade, everyone else following.
"Oscar, wake up. We're in Vacuo." Hazel jostled him slightly.
"Hmm?" Oscar grumbled.
"We're in Vacuo. We're going to eat at Shade academy and then you can sleep more if you want." Hazel told him.
"I'm up." Oscar tried to move to get up only to find he was being carried. "Can I walk?" Oscar asked.
"You can. I suppose I can't carry you like a ragdoll constantly." Hazel smirked, setting him on the ground softly and Oscar followed after Hazel and Emerald, while Neo held a full conversation with Emerald in sign language.
'Roman loved it here. He always liked the sand.' Neo signed to Emerald.
"I suppose it is rather pretty. I can see why he liked it so much." Emerald smiled.
"Why did he go to Vale then?" Oscar asked.
'He left Vacuo after his family threw him out. He didn't have a semblance so they thought he was worthless.' Neo signed sadly.
"That's horrible." Oscar muttered.
'I know. But that's how life is. At least, after he got shunned from the Torchwick family, he travelled the world. He found me in Anima after a hunter raided the place my Master kept me.' She explained.
"So you are from Anima?" Oscar asked.
'Yes, I lived in Sayuri before my parents sold me. After that, I lived in Azami until Roman found me.' She signed, Emerald rubbing her arm as she held her against her side.
"Roman would be proud of you." Oscar smiled.
'I know he would.' Neo smiled back at him. Elm was guiding the cloaked figure to Vacuo, which made a large number of the people in the group confused because they'd all thought it was a body, not someone alive.
"Am I delusional or is that corpse walking?" Qrow asked the girls.
"Corpse? No. He was just severely injured. Marrow wanted time for him to heal and come up from the heavy sleeping medication he was sedated with on the flight and didn't want you to freak out or cry on the airship." Elm announced, pulling Qrow over to hug and showed him the cloaked figure.
"You got really lucky, huh?" If Qrow was crying hugging Clover, nobody would mention it.
"You made it." Qrow whispered in disbelief.
"I lost a lot of blood and got a pretty big scratch, but yeah, I made it. And I'm sorry for putting my orders over you." Clover hugged him back, making Qrow give a watery laugh.
"Scratch? Harbinger skewered you." Qrow sniffled, finally managing to wipe his face.
"I think of it as a scratch. Because it missed every vital organ. I guess my luck saved me in a way." Clover began leading Qrow after the group, keeping them moving toward Shade.
"Stubborn." Elm smiled, patting Clover's shoulder as she walked with Vine to keep Harriet under control.
"Can you let me go now? I get it now." Harriet asked.
"Get what, Hare?" Vine prompted.
"Don't follow the orders of a tyrant." She sighed and Vine finally took the cuffs off her.
"I'm sorry for basically going rogue." She apologized.
"It's fine, you didn't do much harm. It's been hard for you and we never actually made sure you were okay after Tortuga died. She was your sister but we all got so caught up grieving we never helped you grieve when you lost her the most." Elm explained.
"Even worse, we barely made it a week of mourning her before we practically replaced her on the team with Marrow." Clover admitted.
"We have to remember Tortuga as she was, not mourning what she is now. She will always be a part of our team. Bringing Marrow in was never replacing her. She could never be replaced." Vine assured Harriet.
"We're sorry we never took care of our own and leaving you to grieve alone, Hare." Clover brought her in to hug her.
"Thank you." She whispered, staying quiet for the rest of the walk to Shade. Oscar was happy most of his friends were getting along. he wasn't sure how long that would last, but he wanted to cherish it while he had the time.

Bumbleby for the angst prompt “Yang, why are you lying to me” please?
Me? Using fanfics as copying mechanism? It's more likely than you think.I'm sorry if this wasn't what you wanted anon, I really hope you'll enjoy it anyway.
I haven't been good lately. Last week I had a panic attack for the firt time in my life and I needed to let out my fears in some way. That way being Blake this time (sorry sweetie), and your prompt kinda worked in the scenario, so.
I'm still recovering, having ups and downs at the moment, but I'm doing my best to get better, right now I'm feeling good enough for me to reach out and post this, it's a good sign I suppose. Still, don't expect for me to be actually active yet. That said, have a good reading.
AO3
Prompt List
-------------------------------------------------------
It wasn’t a good time for Blake.
There has been an assassination attempt, followers of the old White Fang and possibly Adam, against her and her new faction. She didn’t take it well, neither did her partners, the people helping her to rule. For a matter of safety, they decided it was best for Blake to stay home for a while, until they’d find out at least who was behind what happened.
Blake didn’t take it well. It was a crucial moment for the Faunus cause and that forced retirement at home kept her wondering what was happening, if the others were handling the situation well.
It’s not like she didn’t trust them, she picked her collaborators herself, Ilia was among them, and they kept her constantly updated but it couldn’t stop the train of thoughts and worries.
Yang was concerned as well. Her wife was stressed, and tired, but at the same time too much energized with nothing to properly vent her stress and energies.
Seeing Blake pacing around all the time, like a lion in a cage (for a lack of better comparisons), was heartbreaking. There was nothing Yang wanted more than find a way to help her, but she was helpless.
But that wasn’t the worst yet. No, her lowest moment would’ve come later, roughly after two weeks forced home.
One night, Yang saw Blake trying to get comfy in her armchair, with a blanket and her most beloved copy and “Ninjas of Love”. It was her comfort read, Yang knew that very well; Blake loved the story, characters, and had a particular love for the relationship between the two main characters.
The way it was developed, all the things they went through together, they were basically soulmates and Blake’s romantic side couldn’t help just falling in love with their love story.
That’s why she never got tired of them, of re-reading their story, their love blooming. In a way they reminded Blake of her and Yang, and since she started dating the blonde beauty she got an even softer spot for the characters, being able to see so much of themselves in them now.
That’s why that night, when she failed to find that comfort in them, she panicked.
Yang didn’t expect that at all. She just saw Blake open the book, start reading, and then wide her amber eyes in shock. Soon after the same eyes got filled with tears, and Yang couldn’t just sit and watch anymore.
“Blake.” She called, kneeling in front of her, then reached to dry her tears “Baby, what’s wrong?”
“I-I can’t find it.” Blake managed to say, in between sobs.
“Can’t find what?” Yang patiently asked.
“Th-the comfort. The g-good feelings. They’re gone!” she cried harder.
“Blake, you gotta work with me now because I can’t understand what’s going on. But if you let me in, I promise everything is going to be okay.” Yang rose to seat on one of the arms of the chair now, in a better position to hug and try to comfort Blake at best that she could.
“Yang.” Blake sniffed “Why are you lying to me?”
That was unexpected “…what?”
“You can’t promise me that! Everything is a mess and I’m so stressed, and tired, and now I can’t have ‘Ninjas of love’ anymore, nothing is going to be okay!” Blake cried harder, as Yang was even more confused.
“What does it mean that you can’t have that anymore?” Yang genuinely asked.
“I-I-” Blake gulped and tried to take a deep breath before speaking again “I tried to read a bit to make myself feel better.” She started, still with trembling voice “But when I got to it, I found no comfort. All the good feelings while I’m reading, they’re gone!”
Blake started crying harder again, and all that Yang could do was holding tighter and murmur soothing things in her cat ear.
“If I try I get this weird bed feeling under my skin… I hate it! This is too much, I lost control of everything, I can’t lose them too!” Blake went on “What if I can’t ever love them again? What if this is some kind of premonition and it will happen with you as well? I don’t want to lose neither of you!” Blake kept crying in her despair, and Yang let her. It was clearly needed.
After a little while Yang moved away to bring a pack of tissues and a tiny trashcan, then settled on the armchair pulling Blake on her lap. She kept holding her with all the love she could master, as the Faunus blew her nose.
“Blake.” Yang started softly “I wasn’t lying before. It is going to be okay, you are just overwhelmed.” The blonde explained, with calm and conviction. She couldn’t afford to show the most little uncertainty or hesitation “This is the most stressed I ever saw you, and you got no way to release it, it is natural that your brain is blacking out! But your stress right now doesn’t mean you don’t love what you love anymore.” Yang kept caressing Blake’s arm ups and down, as she found refuge in the blonde’s neck.
“Are you sure?” Blake weakly asked.
“Yes, I am. This won’t last forever, I swear.”
Blake was still shivering with her anxiety and bad feelings, but it felt nice to hear that.
After crying a little bit more, Blake passed out from exhaustion. Yang wasn’t happy to see her wife in such distress, but at least she could sleep now. It would’ve gotten better; all of this just needed some time.
In fact, it took Blake a few weeks to recover from all of that. Time helped, but not as much as being able to be back to her work and her habits. Still, when she picked up her book and started reading, with a smile of pure joy on her face, it was the best thing Yang could’ve asked for.

Rosebud part 14
Some days go by fast. Other days go by incredibly slow. For Ruby, it was the ladder. Deep in the woods of Anima she sat on the porch of Ren and Nora’s orphanage with kids around the age of ten circled around her in amazement as she told them stories of her adventures. Each one more amazing than the last until the Sun was setting on the crisp winter day. Funny, she’d never particularly loved the cold but lately it was so inviting. Most likely because she was in comfy sweatpants and being pregnant made her body feel like she was a furnace. The phrase bun in the oven never felt more real. Soon it would be over though. In fact, it would be considered a day over cooked right now.
Ruby:Ok, story time is officially over.
Children:Awwww!
Little girl:But I wanna hear more about the food fight!
Little boy:Yeah! Also how do you ride a locker. I wanna try!
Ruby:Hehehe, now, now, I gotta save stories for later. Plus I bet Ren is almost done with dinner. Don’t wanna miss that now do we?
Children:Okay….
They all slumped down with puppy eyes. Ruby wasn’t naive. She’s seen this tactic; she might as well be the inventor of it. Yet it was working on her!
Ruby:Tell you what, wanna hear the song I sing to my baby? It’s practically one of the few I can actually sing well.
Children:Yaaaaay!!!
Ruby:*clears throat* Dream of anything. I'll make it all come true. Everything you need is all I'll have for you. I'm forever, Always by your si-
The front door opened and Yang came walking out with baby Kovu in her arms. The little guy has gotten pretty big in just about a year. He was wearing a black onesie and enjoying being swayed.
Yang:Ren says dinner is ready for you little ankle biters. You have five minutes to get to the table if you want dessert.
Terror spread on the children’s faces before they ran inside.
Yang:Wash your hands!
Ruby:Look at that. You have one kid and now you know how to master them all.
Yang:I think you’re forgetting who helped raise you. If anything, you’re my first child Ruby. It’s actually very comforting seeing it like that.
Ruby:It’s also emotional and I’d appreciate it if you didn’t make me cry. I’ll need all the energy I can muster when this little procrastinator decides to be born.
Yang:Like mother like daughter.
Ruby:Ah! I don’t remember giving you this bedside manner when you were blown up like a balloon. Kovu, your mom is being mean to your aunt.
Kovu does nothing but giggle and wiggles his ears.
Ruby:Fine, take her side.
Yang:He knows better than to upset his food supply. Soon you’ll be on straight solids mister and I can be free.
Kovu looks at Yang for a moment in silence. She’s a bit stunned that he might’ve understood that. Then Kovu starts tugging on her tank top and Yang’s eyes squint at him while Ruby chuckles.
Yang:I don’t think he likes that idea.
Ruby:He’s a simple boy. Boobs are his life.
Yang:Don’t lewd my son or I’ll make fun of….whatever gender your kid is. Why can’t you be a normal person and know ahead of time.
Ruby:I like the surprise. Nora knows but that’s because her and the nurse here have done basically everything. I’m surprised she hasn’t told Jaune.
Yang:He still on patrol with the others? He should really be right by your side.
Ruby:I wish he was but we agreed keeping these woods safe is top priority. Can’t afford to get careless; not this time.
Ruby rubbed her stomach slowly as she remembered a time very similar to this. Hard to believe it’s been three years. Even so, the ache still felt somewhat fresh. Yang reached out and rubbed her shoulder. A comforting smile eased Ruby’s worries and she returned the smile genuinely.
Yang:Now is the time to look forward. Wouldn’t want your anxiety to harm the baby. Aren’t you the one usually preaching about hope?
Ruby:Yeah, the curse of being a good leader strikes again. All my advice coming right back at ya.
Yang:Gotta bring it up all the good ones so you’ll remember it for your little one.
Ruby:My little one had to come out first! I’m tired of being pregnant Yang.
Yang:Yeah I went through something a little similar. Due date was coming soon and this little guy stopped being as active. I started eating ice so the cold stirred him up. Ghira even tried spooking me into labor. Oh! Let’s try that. Kovu, scare your cousin.
Ruby:You’re so ridiculous sometimes.
Yang crouches down to Ruby’s belly and holds Kovu to it. His tiny hand reaches out and starts tapping it.
The two sisters laugh at his attempt.
Ruby:Sorry Kovu. Good atte-
Yang:Ruby?
Ruby:Yang...go get the nurse and Nora.
Yang:*eyes widened* Really!?
xxxx
Out in the woods, Jaune makes his rounds around his designated area like the others. The only thing distracting him from the cold was the thought of his wife. This was all for her safety and peace of mind and for that reason alone, he’d put up with anything.
Jaune reached for his scroll and brought it up. He checked on his friends' aura levels. Still high; little to no fighting has happened then. That’s all he could ask for.
Jaune:Everyone okay?
Blake:Yep
Weiss:Naturally.
Qrow:All clear.
Raven:Not so much as a beowulf on my side.
Tai:Really? I’ve killed like five.
Raven:Stop worrying about everything and they might stop seeking you out.
Tai:Mmmm nope. I need the exercise anyways.
Jaune:You need any help?
Tai:I’m just fine. Don’t worry about me for one second.
Qrow:Says the worry wart. Besides, I think you have something coming your way kid. Can you see the sky?
Jaune jumps on a branch to see above the treeline. What he saw was plumes of black smoke and the sight of birds fleeing the scene. ”Someone’s killing grimm? In my area?” He said, confused. ”Who could be out here besides-”
His heart sank to his stomach and he gripped his tight. Without a moment of hesitation, Jaune darted towards the scene. “I’m checking it out now. Everyone be ready for the worst.”
“Roger!” They all said with conviction in their voice.
It didn’t take Jaune long to get where he was headed. Each step he took brought growls and the familiar sound of metal striking bone armor. ‘It’s not them, it can’t be them. We took every precaution.’ He kept telling himself as he slowed down and crouched into the shrubs. ‘Relax Jaune, don’t get impatient. Observe and go from there.’
He took a deep breath and parted the plants in front of him. There was a forest clearing. Dozens of Ursa laid fading away while a massive one stood on its hind legs and roared. Below him was a figure in a cloak. Jaune could only see his back but it was easy to see how worn out the person was.
The cloak was all covered in dirt and their shoulders rose and fell with an intensity that could only mean deep breathing. Still it looked like they remained calm. Their stance low and poised as their hands ready their cane to the side. Wait, Jaune recognized that cane.
The Ursa slammed its weight to the ground and a shockwave blew cloak back along with the person. Jaune popped up from his hiding spot. “Ozpin?” The figure turned around. Yep, it was him.
“Hello Mr. Arc. How-“ another roar interrupted the headmaster and the Ursa charged. Ozpin was caught off guard.
“Look out!” Jaune screamed as he cloaked himself in aura and rushed over there almost as fast as Ruby. He slammed his shield right into the Ursa’s head; making it stumble back. He kept up the momentum by spinning forward and chopping the head off in one swipe.
Ozpin:Nice form. Oh how far you’ve come.
Jaune:Oz, what are you doing out here?
Ozpin:I thought that was obvious. Killing grimm like the rest of you. She’s almost due, right?
Jaune:H...How did you know we were here in the first place? This was supposed to be tight lipped.
Ozpin:It is. The only one who was supposed to know I was here was Mrs. Rose herself but as you can see, things got a bit messy.
Ozpin took a knee and held his head down with his cane supporting him. If it wasn’t for the eye and white hair, He’d looked exactly like how Oscar did after training.
Jaune:How long have you been out here?
Ozpin:Not too long. About a month.
Jaune:A month!?
Ozpin:Yeah. That Ursa Major was number 257 by the way. All the office work is making me rusty.
Jaune:You know if the other’s saw you here then they might have some choice words with you right? I appreciate you being there for Ruby but your agreement-
Ozpin:I’m well aware. It’s why I’ve been trying to remain inconspicuous. This isn’t me trying to build good karma and I have no intention on asking anybody for anything. If anything this should be my way of thanking you all for your years of service and making sure you can continue living life the way you want. It’s the least I can offer. Besides some advice.
Jaune:I think I’m a little old to be your student.
Ozpin:Hardly. Humanity might as well be kids compared to my age. You’re never too old to learn regardless; you’ve all taught me many things for example. I’m grateful for that.
Jaune:....Fine, lay it on me professor.
He sat down in front of his old professor to humor him. Oz couldn’t help but smirk as he stood up like he was about to give a lecture.
Ozpin:This part of Anima is known for slow moving grimm that are spaced well enough apart that the success rate of a traveler running away is pretty high in comparison to other places. I imagine that is one of the reasons why the orphanage was built here.
Jaune:That’s right.
Ozpin:Not a bad idea. When I arrived, I killed thirty grimm at most in my first week. Next week they were more agitated and mobile. Makes sense; Mrs. Rose was here and so were you. Childbirth is an anxiety filled event that happens by nature. However, the grimm kept showing up by the dozens and I got very busy as you can see. Which means...
Jaune:More people showed up? I knew that. Practically everyone is here by now.
Ozpin:Yes but you have to think a bit bigger than that. More people showing up isn’t the problem. It’s everyone who showed up is on edge and attracting the grimm; you all are causing the dangers that you’re trying to prevent. No doubt you could handle them together but if it wasn’t for me then at least half of you would be needlessly exhausted. That would be a real problem if a grimm of frightening destruction showed up, or a rogue maiden out for blood.
Jaune felt his heart stop for a moment. Oz was right. He’d been so caught in his head that instead of being proactive like he thought he was being, he was actually just reacting to his own fears. The only reason the plan was working was because everyone was more than skillful to handle most problems.
Oz walked over to Jaune and got him on his feet. He put away his cane and rested his hand on Jaune’s shoulder.
Ozpin:Strength and diligence are very important but not the most important right now. You all have that in spades. I bet there’s a million things on everyone’s minds right now. All valid fears no doubt. Give them a chance to get it all off their chest. A leader protects the mind along with the body. Just you do as a husband, and just like you’ll do as a father. *smiles*
Jaune:You think that highly of me huh?
Ozpin:Well you are the one who has done the most growing. Then again, that’s only natural seeing how you were….let’s say a late bloomer.
Jaune:That was almost a complete compliment.
Ozpin:Hehe, my fault. You know, I never had a son but looking at former students like you and Ren really makes me feel like…
Oz’s words trailed off and he stopped speaking. Instead he stood right in front of Jaune and examined him thoroughly. Hair, clothes, frame. He’d really grown from his first day. Jaune looked a little embarrassed and confused as Ozpin nodded and smiled with what seemed to be pride. Then, he walked off. Jaune said thank you and got only a wave goodbye. Class was dismissed.
Jaune almost wanted to call out to him but stopped; his scroll ringing nonstop like an alarm. Everyone was messaging him. Yang most of all. ‘How have I not noticed this?’ He thought answering Yang’s call.
Jaune:Hey what’s-
….
Jaune:RIGHT NOW!?
xxxx
Yang:Yes right now! I know we had this system in place but I think you should be-
Ruby:AAAAAAAHHHH!
Yang:I think you should be here for the birth!!!
Jaune:I’m on my way! We all are.
Yang:What about-
Jaune:I’d Cinder wants to show up then that’s her death wish. We’ll handle her together.
He hung up before Yang could even respond. The girl sighed to calm herself before looking over at her sister. Ruby was sweating bullets on a hospital bed they have gotten earlier. The nurse was going back and forth with clean attire for the baby and making sure Ruby’s vitals were okay. She’d been healthy all through the pregnancy but better safe than sorry. Natural births could get tricky sometimes.
Nora had the honor of actually being the person delivering the baby. She’d done it more than anyone around and it was showing. Her face displayed laser focus on the task at hand and she was dressed in proper hospital attire except for her hair which was pulled back into a bun. Truly she was the rock Ruby needed right now.
Nora:You’re doing great Ruby! Keep it up!
Ruby:Agh, you...you’d think this would be easier the second time. Hehehe….
Yang:*grabs her hand* Jaune’s on his way. All of them are by the sound of it.
Ruby:That’s good...wouldn’t mind some more happy faces in here.
Nora:Then let's make them really happy by making them to the party. How about they see you with a beautiful baby in your arms? Ready?
Ruby:*tightens grip* To get back to a life of combat skirts? You bet.
Nora:*smiles* One...Two...THREE!
xxxx
‘Almost there. I can’t believe this is actually happening.’ Jaune thought as he sprinted through the forest. Jumping over tree roots and gaining speed along the way. The man didn’t miss a step.
The sounds of his boots going across the floor began to get drowned out by other footsteps. With each passing moment a friend came into his peripheral that joined him in the journey back to Ruby. Weiss was the first, followed by Blake, and then Tai.
Blake:You nervous?
Jaune:Hell yeah, but it’ll all work out. I have you guys. I don’t know how far I would’ve made it otherwise.
Weiss:Think nothing of it. This has always been a group effort.
Jaune:Not Just with this. I mean everything. School, adventures, regular life problems, you’ve helped so much in so many ways. I couldn’t ask for better friends and family.
Tai:That goes both ways you know? We’re thankful for you just as much as you are for us.
Weiss:We love you, you dunce. I can’t imagine anything we wouldn’t do for you or Ruby honestly.
Blake:And we know it’s mutual. Now and forever, we’ll watch each other’s backs.
Jaune:Thanks guys. *smiles*
Tai:Hey, where’s Qrow and Raven?
On que a bird flies right past them and gains some distance. “That’s totally cheating” Weiss pouts as she can feel the heels of her shoes getting a bit worn. The bird flies around a tree and transforms back into Raven. “Need some help you slow pokes?” She grabs her sword and opens a portal. The group smiles and happily jumps through it. They come out the other side in front of the orphanage with Qrow leaning against the door waiting.
Qrow:Good thing I looked so you all could just leap. What if I was inside the house when Raven made that portal?
Tai:Sounds about on brand really. The kids would’ve had a good laugh.
Jaune:Never mind all that. Is Ru-
“Waaaaahhh!”
A cry from inside was heard loud and strong. Jaune’s eyes widened. It could’ve any kid. From the small kids to Kovu, but somehow, he knew it wasn’t. The cry, it belonged to someone new.
Jaune said nothing and walked towards the door. Everyone fell in line behind him with cheerful smiles on their face. They gave him space. It was his moment more than theirs after all. Ren stood with a child in his arms when he noticed them coming in. He gave his best friend and leader a smile then pointed upstairs. Jaune nodded then went right towards them; the crying getting louder as he got closer until it reached its peak with him right outside a wooden door. His heart felt like it was about to fly out of his chest. Jaune grabbed the door knob but felt too anxious to turn it. A fire in his chest that didn’t frighten him, but made this moment surreal. Then, a voice cut through it all.
“Don’t worry, I got you. Nothing will ever harm you…”
Without anymore thinking, he walked in. From that moment on, the winter night felt incredibly warm. There she was. His closest friend. His wife. Holding their newborn child in her arms with such grace and gentleness that it took his breath away. Despite what Ruby would probably think, Jaune doesn’t think he’s ever seen her look this angelic. She hasn’t even noticed him yet. Her attention focused on soothing the baby with the same song she used all pregnancy; the same song for Dustin.
“I’m close by, I’ll stay here. Through all things I will be nea- Hmm?” Ruby finally felt the presence of multiple eyes and looked up. It was a pleasant surprise to see so many loved ones staring in awe from the door while. Then there was Jaune. Speechless in front of her bed with tears in his eyes. Ruby had already been crying for several minutes and smiled back at him. Though she hadn’t realized just how happy he was; why they were all thrilled. It wasn’t just the baby. It was Ruby herself. Jaune was looking at deep pools of silver that shined like the moon’s reflection on a still lake. For the first time in a long time, Ruby finally looked like herself again.
Jaune:H...Hey…
Ruby:Hey there stranger. Looks like you were right this time around. Come say hello to your daughter Carmine.
Jaune’s smile grew even bigger. He’d forgotten all about that silly wager from long ago. Slowly he walked to Ruby’s side and she held the little one up so he could see the new addition to their lives. What he saw was beautiful. Carmine had come out with already a full head of blonde hair that grew darker and red at the tips. Her cheeks were all rosy; he’d assume from crying but he hoped that maybe she had a natural blush.
Regardless, what really captured him was when she opened her eyes. Purity couldn’t describe them. They were eyes that stole his heart in an instant. Maybe it was because he was already so emotional. Or maybe, it was because it was because they were just as captivating as Ruby’s. An intense silver that showed him anything possible.
Jaune:Hey Carmine Arc Rose. Welcome, to the best family ever.

From Shadows Falls A Beast
Blake: “And so the fox revealed to the young prince the truest wisdom. “It is only with the soul that we can see rightly. What is most needed in our lives can be seen only with the eyes of the soul.”
Harriet: So this is what you do with her. I get that talking to her is strangely therapeutic but reading to her? Really?
Blake (smiling): It’s more for me than for her to be honest. It’s nice just being able to enjoy a quiet moment. No having to fight anyone. No having to argue whose way is right or wrong. Just doing something I like with no troubles involved. Besides she likes books.
Harriet: I guess you guys really are close then.
Blake (still smiling): Well not Ruby and I especially. We don’t talk that much outside of team stuff. I would say that we hardly know each other to be honest.
Harriet: So why are you doing this?
Blake: She’s my friend. And honestly she’s been there when I wasn’t being the greatest friend.
Harriet: Really? The way you guys act I thought you were a flawless team.
Blake (now frowning a bit): We all have our baggage. After Beacon fell I ran away because... someone I couldn’t bring myself to face was there. I will always be grateful they took me back when I returned but it wasn’t easy for them. Yang and Weiss, they did try to understand but they were still upset I chose to leave them. Weiss got dragged back here kicking and screaming, so the idea of leaving people you care for behind was unthinkable to her. And Yang... she had issues because of her mom leaving. I did pretty much the same thing to her when I left.
Harriet (surprised): That’s... a lot.
Blake: It really was. They would have tooth and nail to bring our team back together and I was the one who ran away. But Ruby... She was just happy to have me back. That our team could be together again. She never held anything against me. So I’m grateful. And I want to get to know her better. I can’t to that right now so all I can do is try to let her get to know me better. That’s why I’m reading to her.
Harriet (not really knowing how to go forward): Close as you guys are whoever you met must have been some piece of work to make you run off.
Blake: I was guarded for a long time when I joined Team RWBY. I didn’t really let them get close to me until around the Vytal Festival. And when that happened...
A moment of silence passes.
Harriet: So who was it?
Blake: *sighs* I don’t know how much you know about all of us but I used to be a member of the White Fang.
Harriet (slightly shocked): We’re aware that the Fang’s founder was your father, Chief Belladonna. But nobody really kept tabs on the group until they graduated to terrorism. So you were... well put politely...
Blake: A terrorist? *Harriet tries to give a placating gesture* That’s a difficult question. I stayed with the group after my parents left. I was angry with the world and fighting back seemed to be working better than just using words. I stuck around through a lot of choices that I probably should have walked away from. But I drew lines when they tried going too far. Which is what led me to Beacon. The schools don’t discriminate between human and Faunus so I figured I could make a better difference by becoming a Huntress. Of course we all know how that went.
Harriet (nervously): So who you ran into was one of your old...allies?
Blake: Not just that. It was one of the highest ranking members of the Fang. I don’t suppose you’ve heard of Adam Taurus.
Harriet (shocked): Yeah... He was definitely one of the bigger problems when the Fang were active. Ironwood was nervous about him. Some nobody Faunus that became that dangerous. We weren’t able to find much of anything on him, which only made it worse. *Looks at Blake in alarm* That’s who you ran from? Can’t say I blame you.
Blake: *Gives a mirthless chuckle* If it was only that. Adam and I were... close. He seemed to understand me and what I wanted from the world in a way that no one else could. Then I saw more of what he wanted and realized that what he offered wasn’t what I was looking for. And I still can’t figure out if he was a man that choose to be a violent beast or a violent beast that dressed himself up as a man.
Harriet (sympathetically): Ooooh. Yeowch. That would mess someone up. So why did you come back then? That kind baggage doesn’t just go away overnight.
Blake (smiling again): An earnest idiot helped me work through it. And then I helped someone else work through their pain. And they helped me put a stop the Fang.
Harriet: Guess Taurus got what he deserved. A nice jail cell probably did wonders for his attitude.
Blake (frowning again): It... wasn’t a happy ending with Adam. We stopped the Fang at Haven but he ran away. He wouldn’t give up his rage and it wound up destroying him.
Harriet (realization dawning): You mean you... That is... It’s not the same as killing Grimm is it? Those are literally soulless monsters but killing someone else... Even Atlesian soldiers are trained to subdue and forgo lethal force unless necessary. Having to do that to a living being, even someone that monstrous, well I guess you know more about the world than we gave you credit for.
Blake: I won’t say I’ve made peace with it. But I know it’s not my fault it happened. Adam made his own choices. He chose to be angry. He chose to be spiteful. And he chose to fight even if it cost him everything. It’s something I’m still working through. But I do know where the fault lies.
Harriet: *Looks at the book* “The Young Prince”. Seems like something she would like.
Blake: I thought so. I enjoy it because it’s a story about two flawed people realizing the true, actual love they have for each other. It gives me hope that anyone can find love in their life.
Harriet: Okay then. A bit sugary for my taste but to each their own. *Pauses* So you know farm boy is crushing on Rose right?
Blake (completely unsurprised): Oh yeah. Impossible to miss it. I think it’s sweet. But the others don’t know so could you keep it to yourself?
Harriet (casually): The Ace-Ops know. Not sure if Winter does. Not a problem for us to keep it hidden. I honestly want to see how long it takes for anyone else to catch on.

RWBY Grimm Guardians Arc 3: Separated Union Ch 2
Side White I: Family Drama
Welcome back to Separate Union! Here is Side White, which revolves around Weiss and Arktis’s experience in Atlas. The constant theme of this side is, obviously, Arktis...or rather, WILLOW becoming more frustrated and angry with Jacques. Willow will be referred as Willow and not Arktis for this arc...and maybe onward.
A specific theme of this chapter is the former heiress and Klein talking about how they can make sure Willow can prevent her children from ending up like their father. As usual, please give constructive criticism and enjoy!
Disclaimer: Still own nothing.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Several months after the Fall of Beacon, in Schnee Manor, Altas…)
Late at night, Willow Arktis Schnee sat in the manor’s library, reading a random book. Despite looking at the pages, she wasn't paying attention to it. She was more focused on what had happened earlier in the day… “Fuck…” The former heiress sighed, tossing the book on the table, before rubbing her eyes. These past few months have been… Well, increasingly frustrating for her. Not just because of what happened to Beacon, but also because of her husband, Jacques… Or was he her widow now?
She had no clue. Hell, for what Jacques and the rest of Atlas knew, Willow was still dead. “Maybe it’s better that I STAY that way to them.” She mumbled, laying on the couch and closing her eyes as she recalled the events leading up to now…
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Over the past few months…)
1st Month
Willow and Weiss had returned to Atlas, where they were immediately greeted by a few individuals. Firstly was, quite predictably, General Ironwood and the Atlas Military, who had also returned quite recently. While he gave them a brief rundown of what had happened in Beacon, it was mostly information that the two already knew. That is, until he brought up what had happened to the headmaster.
At the moment and according to their current understanding, Beacon Headmaster Evergreen Ozpin Brown was dead... Needless to say, neither of them had expected that information…
The two went into the Manor afterwards, hoping to think over the events at Beacon...and comprehend them. They were soon greeted by a very worried Winter, who hugged them tightly. “Are you two okay? What happened? Are your friends alright?” She began asking, receiving a small smile from her mother. “Slow down, hun. Breathe…” Willow said. “Yes, we’re safe. Yes, our friends are safe...or as safe as they can be, at least…” “A...lot of chaos happened in Beacon.” She sighed tiredly.
The two Schnees then gave Winter a run down of the recent events. “Lieber Gott…” The Special Operative whispered. Willow nodded, “Dear god is right… Yang, Ruby, and her family are safe and healing. So are Blake and Gambol.” Winter nodded, “What of the headmaster…?” The former heiress froze, before looking at the floor with a sorrowful expression. Hesitantly, Weiss said, “He’s...gone… We don’t know...if that means he’s been captured or…” She didn’t dare finish the sentence.
“What happens now?” Weiss asked. Winter held her sister’s shoulders and looked at her in the eye, “Right now, we settle down for a while. You two need to heal as well.” She turned to her mother, saying, “I’ll be here for a while, but I won’t be staying at the Manor. You know why.” Nodding, the former heiress sighed, “Damn straight, I do.” After Winter and Weiss entered the teenager’s bedroom, Willow walked to where she knew an old friend would be waiting for her.
Entering the kitchen, Willow leaned against the door frame, saying, “We’re home.” The butler jumped, almost dropping the tea set as he rushed over and hugged the former heiress tightly. “Are you alright? Are you hurt? Would you like something? Where’s Weiss?” He began asking, panicking out of his mind as Willow gave a tried smile. “Gods, I missed you, Klein.” She said. “To answer your questions, we are...doing okay, we are safe, and we would like some tea please…”
Klein nodded, before immediately preparing some tea. “A lot has changed while you were gone…” He sighed. Willow raised an eyebrow, “Not in a good way, I assume?” The butler gave a nod, “Whitley...is not doing well...mentally.” “What the hell did that bastard do to him?” The former heiress growled, figuring that this was Jacques’s doing. “You don’t want to know the specifics…” The butler gave a sad sigh. “He’s still alive, but...Jacques is...morphing him. MOLDING him.”
Willow swore she felt her heart stop. Though, despite knowing that information, she never got to see Whitley that month… Even though she actively tried.
2nd Month
The next month, Willow actually MANAGED to see Whitley….and right away, she could tell that Klein was right. Whitley was becoming more like Jacques, even if he didn’t want to. Somehow...he was even looking up to him, despite the fact Jacques was manipulative and controlling. ‘What did you do to my baby boy, you fucker?’ Willow thought as she felt tension between her and Whitley. ‘What the fuck did you do to my children, Jacques…?’
She continued to watch over her children’s interactions with the man, even though Winter had gone back to the military...
3rd Month
The next month, Willow’s depression reared its unwanted head again. Just when she thought she was finally over it, turns out she wasn’t.
She started to blame herself for failing to protect her son, her youngest child,...from becoming like Jacques. As far as she was concerned, it was true...
She was dead for several years…and it was because she committed suicide. As far as she was concerned, she left to escape her own selfish pain...and in doing so, left her three children with a monster.
“Fuck this feeling…” The former heiress whispered, grabbing a bottle of wine and began drinking it. “Fuck it all…” She then blacked out.
She woke up the next day with a massive hangover...and Klein watching over her.
4th Month
Klein, to help Willow, hid and locked the alcohol away. If he wanted to help her overcome her depression, he needed to first help her get sober again. The next morning after he did that, the former heiress awoke with a groan and splitting headache. She groaned, “Verdammte Hölle.” She was in Weiss’s room, with said teenager playing the piano. “Good morning.” Her daughter said. Willow just grunted, her head throbbing, “How was I…?”
“Klein brought you here.” Her daughter said. The heiress then went over and sat on the edge of the bed, asking, “Would you like to tell me what’s going on?” Willow raised an eyebrow, before sighing, “What is there to say when I’m sure you already know?” “Try me.” Weiss said. The former heiress looked at her daughter for a few moments, before sighing. “So...my depression returned.” She said.
As Weiss gave the woman a cup of tea, Willow explained that it was triggered by thoughts of thinking she failed her children. “I left you three…in the most permanent and selfish way…” She sighed. “I… I committed suicide to….escape my own suffering.” She then looked at her daughter in the eye, “And yet, I made you three suffer because of it.” The heiress said nothing as her mother went on to say, “I KNOW it will NEVER change what I did...or redeem my actions, but I’m sorry….”
“I’m sorry for leaving you three… I’m sorry for not returning sooner…” Willow said, her hand shaking with the cup in her grasp. “I… I’m sorry...for being a terrible mother…” She then felt Weiss wrap her arms around her. The former heiress kept whispering apologies as tears ran down her face....while her daughter held her. Then...there was silence. Weiss looked down as Willow had passed out with the tea cup in her hand. Sighing, she put the cup on the bedside table , before laying her mother back down.
“Mom…” The teenager said, despite knowing her mother couldn’t hear her. “I won’t deny that what you did was wrong. You left us…” She then bit her lip, “But you came back. You’ve been given a chance to redeem yourself for what you did. You can STILL protect and care for us…” “To me….” Weiss started, before holding Willow’s hand. “I think you’ve been doing a good job as a mother since you came back… You just need some help getting on the right track.”
Subconsciously, the former heiress’s hand gripped her daughter’s. It wasn’t much, but it gave Weiss some hope that maybe...just maybe she heard her. “It’ll get better…” The teenager gave a small smile. “Nothing stays bad for long…” With that, she went back to the piano, continuing to play it as Willow slept peacefully.
5th Month
By the time the fifth month came around, Willow had stopped her drinking habits once more. This time, she hoped it would be for good.
6th Month
By the time the sixth month came up, the former heiress had stopped feeling depressed once more. She knew it wouldn’t stay like that….but she prayed that her depression wouldn’t be as severe as it was the next it showed up. Her anger with Jacques, however, was now nearing its boiling point with the man’s demanding behaviour towards Weiss as the Schnee Dust Company’s next heiress.
Willow couldn’t have been more disgusted and furious with Jacques.
7th Month
Finally, after three months of self-hatred and self-blaming, Willow had stopped blaming herself. She now knew that she needed to focus on the now and future. For herself. For Klein. For her children and friends.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Present day…)
Willow perked up when the family butler, Klein entered the room, holding two cups of tea. “Care to have a chat?” He asked with a smile. The former heiress nodded, sitting up as Klein sat next to her. Handing her a cup of tea, the butler sighed, “Winter, Weiss, and Whitley are struggling…” “I know…” Willow said. “Winter has escaped via the military. But who knows how much damage has been done?” Klein nodded, “She’s strong, old friend. But she needs help.”
The woman nodded, “Whitley seems almost beyond repair, given his reactions.” The butler sighed, “That is true… But there IS hope for him.” “Weiss needs to escape.” He said. “She needs a chance...to make things right again.” Willow sighed, “She needs to do what she thinks is right, Klein. Believe me, I want her to get to safety too, but in the end, we can NOT make the decision for her.” “We’d be no better than Jacques if we did…” She explained.
“But she’s…!” Klein started, only to be cut off by his old friend. “In danger? Yes, I know…” She sighed. “However, she’s mature enough to make her own decisions. She is more than capable...of making decisions to protect herself from Jacques. She just needs encouragement to make those decisions.” Willow put the cup on the table, “What we need to ask...is how I am going to be able to protect them… And how am I going to stop that son of a bitch who is their father…”
Klein smiled, “Well, I’m willing to help out as much as I can. You know that.” “Klein, you’re going to get into serious trouble if you do that!” The former heiress nearly shouted. The butler shrugged, “I don't mind. Besides, I’m sure Jacques is planning on letting me go sooner or later.” Willow sighed, “That fucker… We need to get the kids or Jacques out of here as soon as possible.” Klein nodded, “Agreed. The children are not safe with him around. And you WILL save them. I know you can...”
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, not the best to end it, but I couldn’t think of anything else. Oh well. Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed the chapter! I tried my best to explain the reasons why Arktis is becoming more and more frustrated with Jacques and her struggle on how she’s going to protect her kids…
Next chapter will be the start of both Side Black and Yellow, as it has Blake and Yang chatting. Thought that would make sense. See ya then.

It’s All or Nothing
((I actually wasn’t late this time.. just in posting it here. Thank you so much for reading!))
---
"There's too many of them, we need to fall back!"
Blake couldn't even see where everyone else went. They scattered across to deal with the grimm infiltrating a small town in Anima. They lured them away from the people, and are about thirty minutes in a nearby forest. The number just keeps on rising the more they acquire relics. It's like the relics rub off them somehow. She's been using Gambol Shroud nonstop, and is running down on ammo. They weren't even planning on facing this much grimm today but as luck would have it, of course they would be the ones to run into these types of problems. Firing one last shot to kill the last Beowolf in her perimeter, Blake ran to find the rest of her team.
"Yang! Weiss! Ruby!" She screamed, running around the woods, hoping to hear just about anything.
She keeps running, and she knows she's getting so tired. They've been fighting grimm for days now, and just when they think they've cleared the place, new ones show up every day. She couldn't believe that she was thinking it, but she missed the safe haven Atlas had to offer. Besides the cold, it was starting to feel like home.
Of course, she knew they couldn't stay there. It was too good to be true.
"Blake!"
Finally, a voice! She turned around instantly, and Ruby was standing in front of her, dirt covering most of her face.
“Ruby! Where’s Weiss?”
“I don’t know. We all got separated. Jaune and the others are still back in the village, but I don’t know how much more Ren could take masking that many people, and our own auras are running low too.”
Ruby sighs, “We can’t afford to think about ourselves. We can do it. We just need a new plan.”
“How are we going to come up with a plan when there’s only two of us?”
Someone was coughing behind them. “Well, three now.”
Ruby gasps, “Weiss!”
Blake turns around happy to see Weiss, but her worry grows because they’re still missing Yang.
“I lost Yang a couple minutes ago. She distracted a whole herd of Beowolves to cover me. I don’t know where she went,” Weiss looks at Blake, “I’m sorry.”
Blake started to own a look of defeat. She felt so disappointed in herself for not being by her partner. They promised to protect each other, and now here she was in the middle of nowhere, not doing anything to uphold that promise. She felt Ruby put her hand on her shoulders.
“We’ve come this far, and we’re going to finish this.” Ruby states. “Blake, Weiss and I are going to find Jaune and the others, while you go and look for Yang. We’ll regroup right here, and don’t worry, we’ll mark the trees so we know the way back.”
Ruby smiles at her. “We don’t leave family behind. We got this.”
She watches Ruby and Weiss run to the direction of the village until their shadows were too far to see. She then starts running around herself, trying to find traces of Yang. She comes across a couple of grimms but none enough to drain her aura.
Blake found stealth very easy, but Yang never  did. Fighting a lone grimm for her was never a problem. She’s used to be so invisible that when Yang took a second look at her and saw her for who she is, she felt vulnerable. Now, she can’t even imagine a life without her. She’d be fine fighting grimm all her life, as long as Yang was there beside her.
Yang, Yang, Yang. It had always been Yang. It wasn’t anything more than having a good partner at first, but she saw Yang mirror her, in a good way. It was like she filled in the dark spaces that Blake had ignored over the years. She was lucky enough to be her partner, and now to be her girlfriend too? She just can’t believe it.
That line between friendship and romance has always been blurry for both of them. They do things because they care for each other deeply, but they never needed put a label on it. Not until feelings came to surface, and they had to be realistic. She didn’t want anyone else to have Yang, and she didn’t want to be with anyone else either, so what else were they waiting for?
Being huntresses in a world sheltering thousands of grimm under the power of an immortal woman named Salem, it didn’t seem like there was any room for romance, but.. she’s there and so is Blake, and her parents love Yang, so.. why not?
Finally after what seemed like forever, she hears a familiar war cry.
“Yang!”
Crap, she should be quiet before she attracts more grimm to them. She sees a familiar blonde about a mile away from her in the middle of an open field, her hair glowing. She must have activated her semblance. From a far, she could see how much Yang is huffing and puffing. She didn’t want to distract her so she kept her distance.
She watches Yang fight through a couple more Beowolves near the treeline on the other side, and when she was done, Blake yells, “Yang!”
She sees the figure turn around. Her hair’s glow fading as she waves and instantly drops to her knees. Blake starts to run, but her huge smile was soon replaced with tears when everything happened so suddenly.
Yang screamed, and Blake felt the world slow down.
An Ursa ran out of the woods, using it’s claws to scratch Yang on the back.
All Blake could hear was Yang’s scream.
The Ursa jumps, throwing Yang a couple feet closer her way.
Yang screamed again, and the splatters of blood paint the dirt one by one.
Blake screamed. Running at full speed, passing a bleeding, unconscious, Yang, shooting down the Ursa within ten seconds.
She runs back, holding Yang in her arms.
“Yang!”
She holds her to her lap. At first she tried pressing pressure on the wound, but it was so deep that even when she took off her coat and wrapped it around Yang, the blood was still oozing through.
“Help!” Blake screams to the forest. She uses her free hand to reach over her pocket for her scroll. She calls Ruby.
“Pick up, Ruby. Pick up. Please pick up.”
As soon as Ruby picks up, Blake starts crying harder, “Blake! Did you-“
“Ruby! Ruby, we need help. Ruby please. Ruby come help up. Yang.. she... we need help. Jaune.. he could.. please..”
“We’re on our way.”
She doesn’t know where her scroll drops. She didn’t care, and focused on Yang. She was lightly tapping her cheeks to wake her up.
“Yang... Yang, wake up. Please, Yang, wake up. You’re losing so much blood, but you have to wake up. Please, baby, wake up.”
Yang stirs, just a little bit, enough to get a glimpse of Blake. Blake gasps, holding Yang’s hand with her free hand, the other around her back, pulling her closer.
“Hey... you...” Yang said with a weak smile.
“Hey. Hey, I’m here.” Blake’s shaking, she didn’t know what to do, “I’m here. I’m here, okay? I’m here.”
“You’re... here...”
“Hey, save your breath, okay. Help’s on the way. Just hang on for me, baby.”
“Let Ruby know, I love her, and tell Weiss to tell Ruby how she feels.”
Blake starts shaking her head. “N-no.. you.. you’re going to tell them that, okay? N-not me. You. When you’re better.”
She closes her eyes when Yang rests her hand on her cheek. She pulled her closer too, resting her forehead, careful not to hurt Yang more than she already is.
“Blake..”
She loved it whenever Yang said her name, but she could just feel her heart shattering to pieces as seconds pass by.
“Blake..”
She hushed her with a shaky voice, “I told you to save your strength, Jaune is coming, he can help you.”
“Blake.. look at.. me.”
She opens her eyes, just to match Yang’s gaze, and as always, she could see the world in her eyes again. Even though it was slowly fading, it still looked beautiful.
“Promise.. me that you’ll always.. always.. fight for what.. you.. think is right..”
Blake starts to nod again, crying harder than before.
“You are one of the best things this world gave me, and for that.. the world deserves to know how amazing you are.”
“Yang, stop.”
“Knock them dead, for me.. partner.”
Yang takes one last look at Blake, giving her a weak genuine smile, the smile she loves. Her eyelids were coming to a close. Blake panics. She taps Yang all over her face faster than earlier.
“Yang... Yang, come on. Wake up. Yang. Yang, come on please, wake up. Yang.” She exclaims, “Yang. Come on. Yang! Please.”
She can hear Yang fighting to take a breath as she takes hers, unable to take a hold of her emotions. What does one do when the love of their life is bleeding in their arms?
“Hey... hey, you. You don’t get to die today, okay, Yang? You promised me, we’d protect each other, so don’t leave me, because that would mean I didn’t hold up my end of the bargain.”
Blake struggles to find her next words, and she settles with, “You and I, our story is just starting. We just found each other again. If you think I’m going to let you go just like that. It’s not going to happen. We still have our lives ahead of us, Yang. We still have to pick fights with each other, cry about the nonsense things, get married, start a family..”
“I still have to put a ring on that finger and let the whole world know that the best girl is off the market, okay? I still want to love you for eternity, Yang, so don’t you dare leave me.” Blake says softly through the tears, “My heart is yours, Yang Xiao Long, and it’s not ready for you to leave it behind.”
Yang looks at Blake, and wipes her tears away with her last strength. “If this is your proposal, you.. suck at it..”
Blake chuckles, “I know, but it’s all I’ve got.”
Yang smiles before she takes her last breath, “It’s all I needed.”
—-
Blake woke up from the uncontrollable knocking on her door. She opens it, and just as she thought, it was just Ruby and Weiss (Ruby was doing most of the knocking), so she climbs back to hug her pillow.
“Blaaaaaake! How are you still in bed? It’s already nine!”
Blake shrugs, “I slept in.”
Much to her luck, Weiss peels her off the bed using her glyphs, “It’s your wedding day, dummy..”
Blake complains. Ruby and Weiss give her a minute, and then Blake jumps out of the bed. “It’s already nine?! Why didn’t you wake me up sooner???”
Ruby giggles, “Your fiancé told us you needed as much beauty rest as you can.”
“That son of a-“
“None of that language when I’m around, Belladonna.” Weiss says, “Anyway, quit slouching around and get your butt moving because I’ve got your schedule, and it’s looking tighter the longer you stay in those pyjamas.”
Blake runs to the bathroom to do her morning routine, and puts on a special outfit just for today. She was getting married. Before leaving, she stops in front of a picture framed on her wall.
“I miss her too,” Ruby said.
Blake takes one last look, wiping the tears that fell down her face, and shuts the door behind her.
She had no idea why she agreed for Weiss to be her maid of honour. It wasn’t terrible, it’s just.. she’s, how should Blake put it, scary. Nevertheless, Weiss was perfect in a way that she knew she could count on her to really get things done.
They went around to check on the caterers, check on the venue, getting pre-wedding photos, and by the time Blake had to sit down, and finally get in the dress, she was a little bit exhausted. Not a lot, all of the checks were mostly done by Weiss, so she was just nodding and clapping, for the most part.
“I still can’t believe that of all places, you guys wanted to go back in Atlas to get married. Like come on, don’t you want to go to Vale?” Weiss asks.
“I’d love to but it’s probably hosting some grimm wedding somewhere.” Blake says with a laugh.
“Vacuo?”
“Sun and the boys are busy cleaning up over Salem’s mess. I doubt they’d be ready for anything.”
“Menagerie?”
Blake scoffs, “My parents would have made it the biggest thing in the world. After all, they run the White Fang now.”
“Look, we chose Atlas, but it’s safe here, and I don’t need to worry about some grimm ruining my wedding. But also, because this place is magic.”
She sees Weiss take a hint. “Okay, well it’s our pleasure to host your wedding here.”
“Well the wedding is small, but the reception is big. Remember?”
“Well, there won’t be any wedding until you put on that dress so get on it, Blake!” Ruby says, clearly excited.
Blake takes the dress to her room, and stares at it. If someone had told her she was still getting married after everything they’ve been through years ago, she would have laughed at their faces. Even though she’s excited to take a step forward, it’s like she’s being weighed down by the ghost of her past. She knew this was the right move, she just didn’t want to hurt people again.
After what seemed hours, Blake was finally able to wear her dress. A nice black dress fit for a princess. She turns the knob, just to see that Ruby and Weiss have also changed to their outfits. They look stunning wearing their tuxedos. When they finally see Blake, they almost shed a tear.
“You look beautiful, Blake. Everyone will flip.” Ruby says, giving her a tight hug after.
Weiss smiles, “You clean up nice, Blake.”
“Well, it’s almost time. You ready, Blake?”
Blake takes a deep breath. “As I’ll ever be.”
——
The sun was about to set, and it was everything Blake wanted. The tree, the bench, all of it decorated accordingly. They were at an overlook just outside of Atlas, and she was so glad that the city lights were just starting to reflect on all of the decor. No audience. Just her fiancé and both their families. She notices that a couple of birds are also sitting by tree - catching a glimpse of the simple celebration.
“You ready, sweetie?” Kali asks.
She nods.
“You look beautiful, hon.”
“Thanks dad,” she whispers back.
Heart beats fast
Colours and promises
Blake never liked attention. She spent her days hiding from the spotlight not because she wasn’t good enough to be under it, but Adam always made her feel too small. He always made everything about himself and his pain, when he was hurting Blake in everything he does. But now, she wanted to savour this moment as much as she could. She wasn’t hiding behind his shadow anymore. This is all hers.
How to be brave?
How can I love when I'm afraid to fall?
She has never been one to believe in true love. She grew up telling people she’s an orphan, when it reality, Blake was a runaway. She found it hard to trust anyone, because no matter what, they’d find a way to betray it. They would always just use her for what she could offer. She never trusted anyone, not until a blonde-haired happy go lucky girl ended up being her partner.
But watching you stand alone
All of my doubt
Suddenly goes away somehow
And that blonde-haired beauty is the one waiting for her down the aisle.
One step closer
She couldn’t wait to marry her.
—-
The last thing Yang remembers was seeing Blake’s beautiful face hovering above her before everything turned dark. When she woke up again, everything was so bright, and her first thought was wanting to ask around if it was heaven.
It wasn’t.
She was just at one of the cottages at the village. It was bright because it was the morning, and the blinds were wide open. She tried to sit up, and in a flash, she remembered what happened. She tries to stand up to walk over to the near mirror, but before she could take a few steps, her body gave in to the physical trauma once again.
The door opened right away.
“Yang!”
It was Blake.
She helped her get back in the bed, barely saying anything. She must be in a state of shock.
“You... you took a heavy hit... and the doctor, well, the doctor, you know, I.. you’re awake.”
She could see Blake shaking, and she knew what that felt like. Her arm still shakes at the mention of his name.
Yang gestures her to sit by the bed. Smiling at her with all the strength that she has.
“I remember, and yes, I’ll marry you.” Yang says very quietly, followed by a cough.
“Here Yang, water.”
Yang takes a huge gulp and when she’s done, she looks deep into Blake’s eyes.
“Yes. I said yes, Miss Belladonna.”
Yang rested her forehead on Blake’s.
“Let’s get married.”
Couple months later, and the only remnants from the night were the three red fine lines on her back, and her teammates missing Maria every day. She wasn’t killed or hurt. She just passed away in her sleep. Peacefully. It was another scar to add to her collection.
No worries, her tux hid it all anyway.
The moment she saw Blake walking down the makeshift aisle, she couldn’t take her eyes off of her. To say she’s beautiful is an understatement.
“Go get her, kiddo.” Her dad whispers from behind her. Yeah, he was one of her “bridesmaids.”
I have died every day waiting for you
Finally, it was her turn to walk. She closed the distance between her and her soon-to-be-wife, and wow, Blake looks even more stunning up close.
“Take care of her like I know you would, Yang.” Ghira states out loud before whispering, “Or I’d kick your ass.”
Yang chuckles.
“Don’t forget to love her on her bad days too, okay?” Kali says, tears streaming down her face.
Ghira and Kali gave both Yang and Blake a kiss on the head before heading off to the side.
Yang extends her arm, “Shall we?”
Darling, don't be afraid
Blake gives her the warmest smile, “We shall.”
The ceremony went by faster than Yang expected. and before she knew it, it was her turn to say her vows. She takes out a crumpled receipt from her backpocket. Blake chuckles.
I have loved you for a thousand years
“You are so beautiful. I knew you would be because you always are, but I couldn’t believe that I get to be the one to call you wife after all of this.” She laughs, “I know I’m not much, but I’m always so much more when I’m with you. No one in this world knows me more than you do, and I’m glad that when we got to chose partners, I ended up with someone I’d wanna be with for the rest of my life.”
“I almost lost my life a couple months ago, and I wasn’t even scared of dying. I was scared that I wouldn’t be able to be with you anymore.”
“A world without you, Blake, isn’t a world worth living. As long as it keeps turning, I promise you that my heart is yours. No matter what.”
“So, I, Yang Xiao Long, take thee, Blake Belladonna, to be my wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part.”
She had to wipe the tears off of Blake’s face after that, and the ceremony goes on, until they were finally near the end.
“By the power vested in me by the Atlas Underground Society, I now pronounce you, wife and wife. You may now kiss the bride.”
Yang gazes at Blake, and she knew she’d be fine, no matter what. Her heart will be fine no matter what.
I'll love you for a thousand more
Forever awaits.

CHAPTER WARNINGS: Dress-up, roleplay, dirty pictures, butt-fondling, analingus, anal fingering, fellatio, anal sex, hair pulling.
Sorry this took so long to get up, I was focused on writing instead of posting all month! But this is a good steamy chapter with a sweet ending to it. Not many more chaps left before the fic's complete!
=Chapter 40
The next few days seemed to fly right by. There were the goodbyes to Ruby and Penny, then the slightly more sadder goodbyes to Blake and Sun. A few tears were shed that early afternoon, most of which from Yang as she continued to thank Blake over and over for everything she'd done. Of course, they made the promise to meet up again soon, Blake even setting a date for her and Sun to head down to Nashville for one weekend. Yang had made sure Ruby promised to catch up with her college work, with Penny reassuring her she would enforce that promise.
As for Weiss, she made sure to hug her redheaded friend extra tightly, without her fainting for once. And even left Blake with a hug as well, something to show they were on better terms.
A few days on, the two had made their meandering drive as promised, to explore. And one place Yang knew of to relax was one of the Six Flags theme parks. While they were out that way, she'd guided Weiss to one in St Louis, where they spent the day on rides, eating junk food, watching silly stage shows, and overall messing around with one another. All activities they didn't have the time for back when they were on tour. There was the odd one or two who recognised them from the news, and one occasion they had to run from the queue to get cotton candy because the entire queue was asking ridiculous questions; but overall, it was the best way they found to wind down after such a terrifying start of the week.
At the present, they had settled in a nearby hotel, in one of the nicer double rooms under Weiss's insistence. As much as she wanted to have a normal day, she missed her luxuries of room service and pampering, so Yang allowed her that pleasure. As she sat at the table in their spacious bedroom, the bodyguard was facing her phone screen once more, pivoting her cast around to show it off.
"That's where Ruby signed it, Dad, and I think she tried to draw Zwei – it’s hard to tell what that thing is. Then Penny's right there. Oh, and there's Blake and Sun's. Weiss said she's gonna do it as soon as she gets a sharpie, I think she wants to do the biggest signature possible."
"That's beautiful, my angel," Taiyang was chuckling, eyes full of warmth and affection. Things might have been a bit strained between them but clearly he had never stopped loving her. "Wow, I still can't believe you're dating a girl, I… I mean, not to sound weird and parental, but I gave up on that when you came out. And here you're coming out again, and it's a famous girl! Your old man is kind of running out of ways to figure you out anymore!"
"Well, you can't exactly tell the guys at work you don't have interesting kids," she joked, simply leaning in closer toward the camera to get a better look. "But we do wanna come visit sometime. I really wanna introduce you and her, and her to Zwei, let her see my room, all that kinda stuff. I mean… if it’s okay."
There was only the briefest of pauses at her last words as he winced, but he quickly put on a snarky smile. "Oh, hey, if you don't think The Weiss will find our little house too boring, then yeah, she's more than welcome! Try to rope your sister into coming back when you do; we'll make it into a whole family shindig!" The man's boyish good looks were overjoyed at the prospect as he adjusted his laptop, trying to see his eldest daughter better.
"Sure! We can set it up when she gets back for the summer or something. Penny's fathers may even let her come, if you wanted to meet her, too?" Then she paused again. "Huh. So both your daughters have girlfriends… How does that make you feel, Dad?"
"Well, a little left out, since I'm the only man in the henhouse, but… hey, maybe I can talk to Penny's dads about sports or something. Gay men still like sports, right?" His chuckle made it clear he was mostly joking, but also cautiously optimistic he'd be able to get along with the two men.
"Oh I think one of her dads could be. Dunno. But they're an awesome bunch, I'm sure you'd get along with them. No idea about Weiss's dad…" She trailed off, looking over to where she was, sat on the edge of the bed and still on the phone. Even just looking over was enough to make her sigh dreamily. "So I know everything’s been scary lately, but I really think things are gonna be so much better now. I can feel it."
"Me, too, Goldilocks. Always knew you'd come out on top – like Pippi Longstocking." Then there was a loud blast of the horn, which made the man jump slightly. "Oh, Christ — that's your uncle, ready to go bowling. Please call me when you get to Nashville safe and sound, okay? Love you."
"Are you sure it's safe for Qrow to drive? Better take the wheel, pops," Yang teased. But sure enough, she smiled right back, blowing a quick kiss. "Love you too, Dad. Speak to you soon, tell him I said hi!"
"Will do! Later, be good!" Then the call ended. Yang couldn’t help grinning, satisfied that she had done her daughterly duty. Maybe if she kept it up, she and her dad could get back to talking a little more frequently, and repair the rift they had let grow a little too wide. After all, he clearly was over his initial discomfort from her coming out; they were family. It was important.
About that time, Weiss was also saying to her own phone, "Love you, too, Father. Speak to you soon." Though her tone was a lot less casual than Yang's, her expression of affection was remarkably similar. As Yang turned in Weiss's direction, she could only sigh as she leant back casually, resting her arm on the back of her chair as she began to smirk.
"My dad said 'be good'. Joke's on him, I'm already in a hotel room with a pretty girl."
Placing the phone carefully back in her purse, Weiss slowly turned to gaze across at her, arms stretching wide to perch on the dresser behind her as she drew one leg upward, bent at the knee and heel catching on the lip of a drawer.
"Oh my… I've fallen into your trap, you wicked woman. What are you going to do to me?"
Yang left her phone on the table, simply making completely sure the call was hung up before she pushed the chair back to stand up, though at first she only checked her nails. "Oh I dunno. What on earth am I to do? I have you here, all to myself for a few hours… How awful for you."
On a snap decision, Weiss shot Yang a hefty wink. Then she raised her hands to her face and gasped, "Oh no! You… you can't, you beast! You brute!"
Then she took off running for the bathroom… although it was such a flouncing, silly run that it looked more like a slow-motion sequence from a 70s movie than like she was actually trying to escape. Yang laughed as she followed, quickly skidding to a halt in front of the bathroom door when it slammed in her face. Long enough amount of time had passed since their reunion for them to be thinking about doing such activities again. And Yang had been looking forward to it the last few days.
So much that she was already unzipping her shorts, and pulling her top over her shoulders. "You can't hide from me! Come out and accept your fate!"
"No, I won't! You can't make me!" But the giggling sort of refuted the claims that she couldn't be coaxed out of the bathroom. However, there was also the sound of shifting, of clothes rustling — which was when Yang remembered Weiss had left her tiny suitcase in there rather than in the main room. Anything could be about to happen; the strap-on, or even something new that they had never discussed before. She stopped for a moment halfway through dropping her shorts, only to gradually laugh to herself. If anything, she was more curious for how she should prepare herself rather than keeping up the character.
"Seriously, should I be slipping a condom on? Or will that not be needed?"
"Not yet, but… I hope you have one ready!" Then there was a few more noises, an odd clunking, and a deep sigh. "Okay. Are you ready, and… do you promise not to laugh?"
Having quickly ran to her bag, Yang placed two on the bedside table, just in case. They wouldn't want to wreck the mood by having to fetch another halfway through. Once that was done, she simply waited back from the door, only in her bra and shorts. "Oh god, what could potentially make me laugh? But okay, ready!"
Instead of answering, the door slowly creaked open, and the frame was drawing focus to the form of Weiss… the princess. There was no other word for her outfit; light-pink tights with sparkling pink heels, a flouncy red-and-white skirt and a regal-looking bodice, and fake-diamond costume jewellery in the form of necklace, bracelets and earrings that dazzled and shone in the light from the main area of the room. She also had white opera gloves that stretched all the way up to just below her shoulders, which were bare. An actual plastic tiara completed the look.
In that moment, Yang stared at her blankly, unable to give much more of a reaction other than surprise. For some reason, even though the dress-up seemed to be focused on hiding most of her form, it was still enough to take her breath away. Still…
"I thought you said we weren't going to Disneyland, Snow White?"
The blush that was already forming on Weiss’s cheeks began to deepen, and she looked down toward the ground, a nervous smile trying to put a dent in the… it wasn't fear, exactly. Perhaps anxiety. "Is… it stupid? I don't know, I saw it and I liked it, thought you might- but it's stupid, I'll get rid of it."
"Nonono!" She quickly went to grasp her hand to stop her disappearing back into the bathroom again, drawing her into their open room very gently. Even though she was still wearing the smile on her face, she had managed to quash her laughter before it appeared. After all, Weiss put effort into this. Once she was out far enough, she brought her hand up to her hips to kiss the back. "I just can't believe I get to fuck an actual Disney princess, that's all."
"O-okay," said the bashful diva, closing her eyes as she allowed the wave of trepidation to pass over her, to begin to recede. Her chest rose and fell with the effort of her breathing, and she was shaking from head to heel. A few seconds later, she opened her eyes and smiled up at Yang.
"But you are my royal subject. And I command you… to kiss my hand some more."
"Absolutely, my lady." And she did, keeping it by her mouth as she pressed her lips up against the soft fabric, offering continuous kisses over each part she could. On her knuckles, on her wrist, and slowly working up the gloved arm.
The last of Weiss's nerves began to melt away as she watched with adoring eyes, sighing as the mouth moved past her elbow. "Thank you, kind knight." Then she paused thoughtfully. "Were there lady knights?"
"Not a clue." Yang giggled against her elbow, kissing it again, but finally letting her arm go, she stepped back to look at her properly. Now the initial laughter was out of the way and she could actually focus, she could truly behold and appreciate the sight Weiss had made for her. Stunning, in every way, from the heels to the tiara. "But for this princess, there better damn well be."
And then something that befit Weiss's anxiety about the moment happened, something that was almost too odd to be believed. Weiss's cheeks bunched up, and she really giggled, both of her hands balling up beneath her chin as she grinned from ear to ear. Just how long had she been wanting to play the part of a princess? How many years had it been since she had the opportunity? None of her music videos featured her as such, even though there were similar themes. Even the one where she was dressed as a queen was so heavily "dignified" that it couldn't quite be called the same thing; Weiss wasn't allowed to have fun with it, so concentrated was she on projecting the correct image.
"Well, my glorious princess… what would you request of your lady knight this evening?" Yang asked. She didn't exactly look the part of a knight herself, not standing there in a pair of unzipped shorts and her bra. But nonetheless, that was a role she wanted to play, so she would play along. Running a hand down her arm, she said, "Any requests at all are fine by me."
“We don’t have any dragons handy for you to slay, but we can think of something, I’m sure.” The state of Yang’s undress didn’t seem to bother the princess; her gaze was completely held by her face. “Hmm… I’m tempted to ask you to join me for a tea party, but that’s even sillier than me wearing this in the first place, isn’t it?”
Yang's smile only seemed to grow as she looked at her princess happily. "Look, you can tell me to do the cancan in my underwear if it would make you happy, seriously. I was only joking earlier with the 'Snow White' thing."
Smiling gratefully at her for the further reassurance, Weiss whispered, “It’s okay.” Then she cleared her throat and said, “How about… you just show me how much you cherish my royal body with your lips?”
"Of course. If you'd like to take a seat on the bed, I can do just that." Yang stepped back to allow her that space. There was a partial motive, it meant she could view Weiss's outfit for that bit longer, and view it from behind as she walked to it. Not to mention, she could of course treat her properly if she could kiss her all over.
Grinning, she walked over toward the bed — and paused when her eyes fell on the table. “Oh! Um, did you want to take pictures of this before we mess it up? I know that’s kind of your thing…” Her smile was shy and cast over her shoulder, but also very mildly teasing. They both recalled just how much Yang had enjoyed that little perk.
Suddenly Yang began to grin even more, quickly pausing to fetch her phone back from the table. They'd managed to take one or two photos of their travels regularly, even a couple of selfies with Weiss kissing her cheek, and some of Yang kissing hers. Tons of them were for her ‘Snow Bunnies’, a lot just for the two of them. But she didn't expect to ever get to do this again, to be the one taking photos of Weiss in a more private situation. And they would be all for her eyes only.
Readying the camera on her phone, she held it up in portrait fashion to get her in the entirety of the image, giving a cheeky wink. "Smile for me then, gorgeous."
Lips pulling into a bashful little bow, Weiss did just that, one hand on her hip and the other hanging down by her side. After Yang snapped that picture, she turned around to present her back, which gave a nice view of her shoulderblades, casting a distinctly provocative glance over her shoulder. Taking yet more pictures, Yang held her hand up to inform her to keep in that position, tilting the camera to a landscape position to take another; one with more of her face in view. Sure, she had those few carefully cropped pictures of Weiss jerking her off, even with it in her mouth; but not too many of her naturally, none that were worthy of being her cellphone wallpaper, at least. This would change all that, even if she did look seductive.
"Oh that one's gorgeous." She grinned, looking back at one that she'd just taken quite close up, right away clicking a few more buttons. "Aaaaand lock screen photo, done."
“Wh-what? Oh…” Weiss’s posing faltered as she glanced down at her outfit and turned bright red. “W-well, I didn’t think you’d like it that much… but alright. I guess that’s okay, as long as you don’t go around showing literally everybody.” Then she smirked as she turned to face her properly, face still red but her entire body language flirtatious.
"Hey, this'll do for now, ‘til I get a really nice one of you in casual stuff."
“You mean this isn’t casual?” Laughing, she purred, “Now… are you ready for one that you definitely may NOT use as a lockscreen?”
As soon as that request was given, she began to smirk again. "Oh hell yes."
Again, Weiss hesitated. This was as difficult for her as the initial reveal of her outfit had been. But after a few seconds, she let her eyes close as she hitched up her skirt. Underneath was her underwear, as Yang had expected… but this was not a pair she had seen before. Nor was it anything she had expected the diva to own, even remotely. A hot pink thong with sequins and glitter, a bow at either hip, and even a fake diamond just where her pubes would be, had she not seen to removing those recently. However, there was one other detail that was even crazier…
This thong was crotchless.
If Yang wasn't breathless before, she certainly was now. Indeed it wasn't what she expected, not one bit. Maybe stockings or some thigh-high tights, but certainly not crotchless underwear. Had Weiss been wearing those all day?! That thought was enough to leave her jaw hanging open, until she realised just how ridiculous that looked.
"U-Um.. yeah… I… w-wow," she stuttered, slowly bringing her camera up into view again, tilting her head. "Aaaand a smile?"
And Weiss did smile, but it was the same awkward, shy smile from when she had first revealed her outfit. Her knees pressed inward together, and after the first picture, she bit her lip as her cheeks turned as red as they’d ever been. A few photos later, Yang grew more thoughtful about Weiss's anxious expression. She knew that look before, the same uncomfortable look when she first stripped for Yang back at the tour. It felt like decades ago.
"Hey." She tried to catch her attention, lowering the camera again. "I could lose the duds, too, if you’re feeling intimidated."
“What? Who says I’m intimidated?”
Her body twirled, and she presented her back to Yang — but even though it might have been partly to hide her face, clearly she was also showing off the nearly-bare backside, teensy pink string dividing the two soft hemispheres. Suddenly she was taken back yet again, looking at the sight with wide eyes. Was she drooling? She certainly licked her lips as she took another photo, one particularly focusing on said rear. How she craved to just move the little strip aside and see what it was hiding…
‘Whoa, whoa, Xiao Long! You’re already lucky enough to get to touch this princess at all – no need to get greedy!’ She shook her head to try and shake away such a thought, simply going back to her photography. "Mmm… Yummy."
“My butt is ‘yummy’?” Weiss snorted, finally beginning to relax just a little more from Yang’s obvious approval. Then she flexed her rear muscles for her benefit, even bending at the waist to make it protrude yet further, creating a stark definition in her thigh muscles, as well.
Even while she was taking photos, the bodyguard could feel the effects it was having on her. Already her length was pushing up against her underwear, beginning to become obvious since her shorts were unzipped. Taking a few steps forward, she took one or two more photos until she was close enough to place her uninjured hand on one of said cheeks, squeezing firmly.
"It's more than yummy, princess."
A shiver rippled down Weiss’s spine as she shot upright in surprise, then relaxed into the touch, sighing. Not that she would tell Yang, but having Neon be so obviously approving of her form had been as much help in this area as Yang was, or nearly so. One woman who was in love with her saying that her body was attractive could have been a fluke, but two of them made her start to think they weren’t just buttering her up.
“You… can have a taste of it if you want,” Weiss whispered over her shoulder, again flexing the muscles so that Yang could feel it against her fingertips and palm.
"A taste?" she asked, squeezing against the now tightened muscles of Weiss's backside. “I’m planning to have the whole thing for dinner.” She wanted to grasp the other one with her other hand, but the cast prevented her even trying, knowing it would ruin the mood. Grunting in frustration as she held it firm, she instead started to kneel.
A low chuckle sounded in the diva's throat, and she again bent very slightly to let Yang have a better, closer look. After all, she had donned all this frivolous costumery purely for her benefit, hadn't she? And clearly, Yang meant to indulge. Finally releasing her grip, she bent down until her princess could feel Yang's lips pressing against one of the cheeks. She wanted to do more, thoughts going back to what was hidden behind the thin strip again, but decided that could wait for now.
"Y-you really are…" But Weiss cut that statement off; it was redundant. After a few more seconds, she turned to one side and took a single step, so that she could bend down and lean her elbows against the bed. "Have as much yumminess as you like, brave knight."
And she did. Moving on to the other cheek, she went to pepper that with kisses straight after, occasionally allowing her teeth to graze over the skin at times, purring with delight. Mild groans came from the girl being teased and pampered. It had been so long since she enjoyed herself like this with Yang that she had almost forgotten how her every touch could set her world ablaze without fail. Every time.
"Hmm…" Backing away to look at it again, she took a risk and brought her hand up to the thin strip. Looping it around her finger, she began to pull it to one side. "What treasure is my princess hiding back here?"
"A-ahhh!" Weiss breathed in a shuddering breath as she felt the string teasing at the sensitive skin between her cheeks, clearly not having expected that. However, she didn't seem to mind it, either. "Well… I wasn't hiding anything very well, was I?" she managed to half-laugh.
Beneath where the string had lain, the extremely pink flesh clenched gently with her nerves at being exposed — both the tight ring at eye level and further down, where she was already very slightly damp. All of Weiss's secret treasures were calling out to be plundered by the knight; it was merely up to her which would be sampled first.
"Mmm… Interesting." She merely looked a moment, knowing each second she stared would ultimately tease Weiss all the more. And she delighted in that. In the end, she went for a slightly safer option, but one they had only tried on Yang so far. While the string was moved away, a finger pressed against the soft puckering of pink skin, pressing inward. Not to penetrate, but to give a firm reminder that she was there.
"H-HEY!" Weiss squeaked in complete shock. She had really not been expecting that! Even though she had told her to "taste" her back there, she figured only on what Yang had done before; a kiss or a bite on one of her cheeks, just to tease. Not for her to…
Do what Weiss had done already. The memory had mostly been buried underneath all the other methods of gratification they tried, but it was true, she had actually touched Yang there. With her tongue. It was different somehow, given that Yang only had that orifice whereas Weiss had two to choose from… but even so, it was so taboo. Would Yang be trying that on her? Literally tasting her "yummy" ass?
There was another moment's silence while she waited, weighing the options available to her. Both looked truly inviting, for both her mouth, or even to slide inside with other appendages. But tempted as she was to go for the gold immediately, she instead did as Weiss was slightly fearing: leaned in and pressed her tongue against her ass, taking a very slow and long lap.
The noise that came out of Weiss was akin to a strangled scream, but was also more like one of her high notes. Completely different from anything she had vocalized while they were making love before. Yang was really tonguing her ass! Such a dirty place, the only place dirtier than her actual sex… and she was fine with putting her mouth upon it. Eager to do so, even. And to her surprise…
It didn't feel nearly as horrible as she had expected. Even giving her lover the same treatment, she secretly believed it had something to do with her anatomy; that maybe having a cock — and the gland that lay hidden underneath — somehow made such a thing more pleasurable. Oh, how wrong she was.
Yang did it again, and again. The sounds coming from her princess were music to her ears. Literally! It seemed rather ironic that pressing her tongue against such a filthy place would provoke such a graceful reaction from her, Yet, here they were. After a few firmer licks, she backed away, pressing one more kiss on her cheek before she left it completely.
"That to my princess's liking?"
"I… I don't know…" Clearing her throat, Weiss tensed her cheeks, testing how she felt now. Fine. While the tongue was there, too much was happening to pinpoint her feelings clearly, so she settled for figuring out how she felt afterward, and she was completely fine. In fact, the skin was still tingling from where Yang had teased her. "Do you… I mean, how do you like d-doing that to me?"
Slyly smirking in response, she leant to one side just so if Weiss wanted to look around, she could see her face. And all the while her expression never changed. It was a smugness that Weiss had always known from the day they met. "I already like making you squeal. But damn, that made you sing."
"W-well, I wasn't prepared!" she snapped at the smug face behind her before collapsing down onto the bed, the gooseflesh-covered rump pointing down very slightly more now than it had been. "Ughhh… I mean, am I the only one who didn't know it feels okay? I mean, come on, it's my BUTT! It's not supposed to feel good, it has one job, and one job only!"
"There's a video on your cell that says otherwise," she reminded her, gradually getting back to her feet again. Once more, it was reminding her of the strange desire that crossed her mind again; trying that on Weiss. She never had before, not on any girlfriends, let alone any boyfriends. She'd always been on the receiving end. What about Weiss receiving? Maybe if she wasn't too opposed, she could request… and they could always stop if need be.
"Wh-where are you going? I, um… thought you were going to lick…" Apparently, her shame at asking for more of the same treatment overpowered her desire for it to be repeated, because she merely turned and buried her face in the mattress.
“Oh…” Yang had been about to get one of the condoms. Even if it was early in, no reason to not be protected, at least she thought. But when the request for more came, she stopped in her tracks. "Is that what you want? Me to give you another lick or two down there?"
There was sort of a giddy laugh, and Weiss trembled all over. "Well… again, only if you're sure you actually enjoy doing that." Then an idea came to her, and she rolled over just enough to look up at her lover where she stood, gazing down at her. "Do you… I mean, remember that time we were both, um, face-to-genitals? I could do it for you while you do it for me. That is, if y-you want. No pressure."
"Actually, I kinda just wanna…" Staring between her and Weiss's backside again, she thought more and more about what she wanted to do. Weiss wasn't opposed to a little teasing back there it seemed, and perhaps more experimenting would warm her up for it. Quite literally. Taking the seat she once had, she placed her soft hand on one of the cheeks again.
"I just wanna try some things…"
"But I thought I was the princess," Weiss teased with a pronounced pout. Then she laughed and asked in a more earnest tone, "What kind of things did you want to try?"
"Well, while it's wet…" She put her finger into her mouth, running it around as much as she could to give it a fair coating in her own saliva. There was no telling if it would be enough, but with the aid of what was left over. "Now just… relax," Yang requested once she drew her finger back out her mouth again. And then she slowly brought it against that ring of muscle, pressing into it very very slowly…
"OhhhhhhHHhhh, wow," Weiss groaned as she did relax, despite the occasional all-over twitch. Her voice was still twice as shaky as it had been before when she admitted, "Okay… okay, I'm convinced, it feels good, I was wrong!"
"Aaaand… this?" Slowly, she began to wriggle the tip back and forth, listening to her diva whimper. She was encouraging the muscles to open up, and to make themselves ready for entrance. It was incredible how tight she was back there! Even if Yang knew her ins and outs more or less by hand.
Then suddenly, she felt the ring loosen, and felt her finger slide in.
"FUCK!" Weiss burst out, and then again — singing the word. For whatever reason, as had been proven more than once now, being prodded in that region brought about the songbird in her. It was just so very different, and intense, and…
"Yang, it's- it's not the same as normally, b-but it's good! Really different but not bad, and I'm- and I like it, God help me, I do like it, I'm r-really messed up!"
"Well, God can't exactly help you. But I think I can." Alongside the snide remark, she continued to press inward, continued to watch more of her finger slowly delve into Weiss's tight little opening. One knuckle deep, and she wiggled her finger slightly, trying to make sure it would stay loose so she could push more. If she enjoyed it this much with just a finger, what would her cock be like?
"Oh Yang… ohhhhhh…" Now that she was inside, it was somehow less intense than weathering the punishment that Yang's thickness brought to her sex… and at the same time, more, in a different way. It was so hard to compare the two! But she never stopped her, never asked her to back off or wait for her body to catch up. Just kept squirming from the sheer amount of sensation befalling her poor body.
"Y'like it?" she asked as she began to get to the second knuckle, gradually wiggling back and forth again just to keep the area lose. But that was a dumb question; of course she was liking it. Loving it, even. And the sounds coming from her were only making things better. They were really keeping her hard, and preparing her for the inevitable.
While the diva writhed back and forth, flailing her legs so hard that one of her heels fell to the floor, she was also digging in with her fingertips, grasping the sheets as if her life depended on it. Yang really meant to enjoy herself there… to tease this part of her mercilessly now that she had discovered Weiss didn't mind. All this time, she had sworn she would never be one of "those girls" who enjoyed such a raunchy thing — even after discovering her unfortunate love of having Yang finish on her face. Anal still seemed too far.
Until now. Until the penetration of her in the forbidden orifice was complete, and she was actually starting to push her hips backward into the advance. Until it got to the second knuckle.
And that's where Yang stared at what was happening here. Weiss didn't just like it, she was begging for more, pushing herself into her for more in her rear. It was a crazy reality but was right there in front of her; she was fingering a pop star in the ass. Gradually drawing it back out again, she continued to watch how she'd react to that also, intending it to be a thrust eventually.
That caused a low, almost uncomfortable groan to issue from her, as compared to the high singing of being penetrated in the first place. Once the finger was halfway out, she made a sort of confused grunt.
"Wh-wha…? What are you doing, what's happening?"
"Testing." And then she pushed it back where it was, at almost double the speed.
"AH! FUCK! Yang Xiao Long, w-what are you trying to do to me?!"
But the weak trembling told Yang all she needed to know. That was it; Weiss was putty in her hands. Or around her finger, as it were. So she continued. She kept drawing her finger out further and further back each time, plunging it back in where it was at a slightly faster pace. She truly was fingering her ass for all it was worth, brushing against the inner walls as best she could. The casted hand grabbed one of her legs to keep her still as she kissed one of her cheeks once again in addition to the continuous fingering. She really was treating her princess tonight! But if things kept progressing, they were going to do so much more.
Every sound coming from Weiss was an odd mixture of ecstasy and agony now, as the finger began to drag more and more roughly through the skin, faster and faster. Finally, she squeaked a very quiet, "Ow!" and tried to writhe away from Yang's touch, even if she didn't ask for her to stop.
The instant that word left her lips, she did stop, holding still for a moment. Of course, saliva wasn't the best lubricant. Not by a long shot. They'd need more if they continued. "You okay?"
There were tears in her voice when Weiss whispered, "Y-yeah, it's just… g-getting dry, or something…" She looked over her shoulder, eyes glistening as she asked, "I d-don't suppose you have lube with you, do you? Left mine at home. And, um, our blue friend."
"You… want more?" This really was the best case scenario! From how desperate she looked, Weiss actually wanted to try getting off this way. That could be arranged for them both. But first she shook her head. "Not bottled lube… but…" She looked at the two packets on the bedside table. Her usual brand, but one she used to get even when she was dating boys. One that had extra coating of lubricant. Plenty for this. "But the condoms are loaded with it."
"Really? But then… I mean, it seems kind of like a waste of a condom to m-"
Then the princess stopped dead in mid-speech, rolling over onto her side so she could look up at her girlfriend, despite the finger still lodged within her. Both eyes were wide, and her mouth worked for a few seconds as she glanced between the contemplative face… and the clearly-erect length hanging down below.
"Yang… I, um… are you t-trying to…" She swallowed, and the skin clenched very tightly around the finger — consciously tight. "Wh-what are you thinking right now?"
"T-that… Um…" Flexing the finger back and forth inside her, she started to blush even more. Still open, still willing. And her length was still ready. She wanted to, desperately. And with a deep breath, she admitted, "That… I can return the favour?"
"Th-the favour I did for you with… our blue friend, I presume!" The laughter was almost terrified, but she was still shifting her hips back and forth, kneading her own muscles up against the one that had invaded her where she did not expect to be invaded. "C-can I do that the first time? I mean, don't I have to… work my way up to something as massive as, um… as you?"
"Oh, you flatterer," she jested again, beginning to slowly work her finger back out from the tight muscle, attempting to cause as little discomfort as she could. "You can, we'll have to work really really slow, but we can work you up to it, easy. If you're willing to be patient, that is."
Nodding, Weiss gave a slight whiplash as she was exited fully, then lay there panting in relief for a moment. She didn't dare look at Yang's hand now. Licking her lips, she managed a weak smile as she forced herself to ask, "S-so we're really doing this? You want to be inside me… there?"
Her bodyguard’s cheeks started to pinken again as she nodded and rose to her feet. And then as she went to collect one of the small packets, she couldn't help but laugh to herself. "Funny… Two months of no sex with each other and the first thing we do is… this."
For some reason, the mention of the gap between then and now made Weiss smile more gently at Yang. They had been with each other so many times, and Yang had taken the same "abuse" as she was about to endure, and was obviously no worse for wear. Tons of people did this every day! It didn't completely quash her nervousness, but it went a long way toward doing so.
"Not what I expected, either." Then she smirked knowingly over at her. "You really want to fuck your princess in the ass that much, don't you?"
"Hey, I need my reward from saving you from the dragon. Adam counts as a nasty dragon, right?" Ripping the packet open with the help of her teeth, she managed to push her undies down, finally revealing her arousal into the cool air. A good few days of not even getting off had it more then ready for everything about to happen. Which reminded her: "You wanna stay in that position, or move to another?"
"Just… hang on." Then Weiss slid forward, raising a gloved hand to brush along the solid length of her girlfriend. "Give me a minute to tell Lao how much I missed her. Please?"
For a moment, she nearly had to ask who. But as soon as she felt delicate hands against her length, she remembered. No one had called her member a pet name for ages. And when at Blake's, she simply referred to it as a 'he'. Nothing could truly explain how amazing it felt to be lavished with attention again. "Hmmm.…"
"Hey there, little Lao," Weiss breathed against the skin, pressing her lips to the tip. "You and I have some catching up to do, okay?" Then she wrapped said lips around the head entirely, eyes closing in gratitude. Strange as it was, she truly had missed that feeling, the ability to give Yang this specific type of pleasure.
No doubt she missed the soft, needy moan that fell from Yang's throat, as well. The way her eyes fell shut as she allowed herself this moment. She actually allowed it, for the first time in weeks - without first requesting pain or some other way to “balance” the pleasure. As fun as the times with Blake were, it was those moments at her lowest that dragged the whole experience down, and only now was she feeling on the rise again, allowing Weiss to do as she pleased.
After a few seconds of paying it such attentions with her tongue, Weiss pulled away, looking at it regretfully. "Wish we could play more, but apparently, you have a date with my back door." Then her blue eyes flicked up to Yang, challenging, dancing with mirth.
Eyes slowly flickering back open, she looked down at Weiss with a sultry gaze. Knowing Weiss wanted to lavish “Lao” with more attention, she brought forward her better hand, the one that held the open packet. "Wanna dress him up?"
"Certainly," she replied eagerly, snatching up the packet and withdrawing the small, slimy circle from inside. She had to turn it back and forth a couple of times before figuring which way she should start, but once she had she rolled the latex down over her love easily enough. As she did so, she made sure to press in very slightly with her gloved fingertips, hoping to elicit at least a little pleasure merely from this act.
Humming in delight again, Yang rolled her head back while 'Lao' was “getting dressed”. The snug covering was certainly helping her feel more ready, able to feel more blood rushing to her cheeks as well as her member. Satisfied that it was enough, she stepped back, grinning.
"You better get into position."
That made Weiss flush as well; teasing only Yang had almost made her forget what they were teasing her for. "Alright, um… which position? You were on your back when I did this, but you seem to like me…"
Then she flipped over onto her hands and knees again. That position really did things to Yang. The skirt had fallen to cover her cheeks, but only just; it could easily enough be nipped out of the way. Biting her lip again as she walked over, she did just that: moved the skirt up out of the way so she could get back to the entrance in question. The tiny tight one hidden by the string again. Holding it out of the way with her injured hand, she put a different finger back into her mouth, wetting it as much as she could. Once satisfied, she pressed it against the flesh again.
"Let's get you ready again…"
"W-wait," Weiss breathed nervously, and her entire bottom clenched hard. "Do… you want the thong on or off? S-seems like you like it on, but… I just wanted to ask." Clearly it was a delay tactic, but it was true that once they got going, removing the underwear would be pretty difficult.
"Huh… good point." To answer that, she nabbed the string again, gradually pulling it down her legs. As much as she delighted in the sight of it on, she agreed that having it off, or even halfway off, would make things far easier. Once that was done, she went straight back to circling the hole with the wettened finger. "Now just… relax. If you clench, this is gonna be really hard."
"You're g-gonna be really hard no matter if I clench or not!" But Weiss took the advice to heart; she took a deep breath, and slowly allowed her muscles to relax around the exploring fingertip. "C-can I ask you a question?"
"Yeah?" she asked, continuing to circle that bit more, watching the muscle gradually begin to open up. They were going to be ready soon.
"How long have you… wanted to do this? On me, I mean." She bit her lip for a moment, closing her eyes as she weathered the odd treatment of such an unlikely area on her body. "Like, have you wanted to for a while, or is it just something that… you figured out more recently, or what?"
Satisfied, she kept her finger against the opening, hoping it would remain open enough to ease in there soon. "To be honest, just now. Like, I've never seriously thought about doing that to girls before, and definitely not guys – except for kidding around with Sun. But after you did it to me… and looking at your pretty little ass under that thong…"
Weiss was finding it impossible to keep the blush off her face. "S-so I'm your first?" Then she shook her head slightly. "No, that doesn't matter; I mean, it does to me, a little, but… but the important thing is that you like it and want to, um, do what you're going to do."
Quickly leaning forward, she pressed a kiss against Weiss's back. Using it as a way to distract herself as she held her member in her hand, starting to guide it into place. As she replaced where her finger was with the head of her member, she whispered softly.
"You are my first, and my only."
"A-ahh…" Her back arched up to chase the lips that had been so kind to it a moment ago, but she also was trying to angle her rear away from the blunt head aiming to penetrate its defenses. An instinctual reaction. "Oh, d-does it hurt the first time? Can I orgasm from this? There's s-so many things I don't know!"
"Relax, Princess. Really, I'll go really slow, so it shouldn't hurt even the tiniest bit. Just let yourself enjoy it." Leaving one more reassuring little kiss between her shoulder blades, she moved her hands to her hips, holding her in place while she eased her own forward, feeling the head pushing up against the tight opening. And there she had to wait, allowing for Weiss to adjust.
Which didn't take long; the mere pressure up against the skin wasn't what worried the little princess. It was the thought of it going any further. Would it actually fit, being so much wider than a finger? There was only one way to find out.
"You're so big," she told Yang breathily, with something close to her usual sensuality when they were in bed. "God, we almost n-need an extra Yang just to carry around Lao."
"Geeze, I'm not that big," she tried to reassure her, applying more pressure as she felt Weiss loosen up that bit more. "Our blue friend was bigger, and I handled him just f- Oooh…"
Suddenly she trailed off, grip on her hips tightening for a moment as she felt the sheathed member suddenly slip past the gates into such tightness. The head was in! This was really happening!
"FFFFUCK!" Weiss cried out, trembling all over at the sensation of being invaded there. It was so huge! Even after all their talk, after toying with her with both tongue and finger, she had never truly accepted that there was going to be a cock in her ass. And now, there was.
Still tightly gripping her hips, Yang’s own head was spinning. Barely inside, and the pleasure she felt on her cock was incredible. So tight! Even tighter than Weiss’s pussy, which was already tight to begin with! She knew it would be, but never expected such a stark contrast. All this time, was this what men had felt when they penetrated her own? No wonder that was all they wanted to do all the time!
"O-ohhhh, ohhhh Yang! What are you doing to me?!" Her thighs parted very slightly as the rest of the length very slowly made its way deep inside of her, and unbelievably, she felt her protesting skin widening, stretching to engulf her love's arousal. It was so weird, so unearthly, so…
Incredible. How could she have not known that it felt this fantastic?
Letting out a shaky moan of her own, Yang moved a hand to her back to rub delicately. There was so much she wanted to say, but at the same time, she simply wanted to remain in silence as she helped Weiss weather the treatment. Pushing slowly, she looked down at the sight before her, staring at the tight muscles stretching around her member. It was the most erotic sight she had ever seen… and it had quite a lot of competition. All from Weiss.
There wasn't any avoiding it; too much was happening to her skin, to her insides. Things that a sheltered diva had no way to prepare for. A weak sob floated out of Weiss's throat as she trembled all over, gripping the sheets again to anchor herself against so much girth being forced into such a tiny little hole.
"It's s-so good," she finally whispered when it was over halfway inside of her. "It feels so wrong, but so, SO good!"
Panting for her own breath, Yang couldn't help but laugh a little, patting her back softly. "See why I like it so much?" Even if she hadn’t dreamed that Weiss would be as receptive as she was. She kept going, kept pushing gradually more and more inside. The lube on the sheath was certainly helping with that, and she was glad she had opted to choose the extra lubricated brand.
After a few more moments of Weiss's strange moaning, her hip eventually met Weiss's round cheeks. And there she waited, stroking her hips and back again. That was it. Yang was entirely inside her. The feeling was oddly… satisfying. Not in the same way as when their sexes were joined, but a different way… it disgusted her even as it completed her. Shifting her hips from side to side, she tested the feeling of being filled, and found that she wanted to hold onto it, to keep Yang inside of her for as long as she could.
"Yeah. Yeah, I d-do."
"Oh, Weiss…" It was more of a moan than anything. Shifting her hips, she could feel Weiss's inner walls gradually loosening all the more, even if she remained incredibly tight. Still keeping her in place, she bit her own lip for a moment before whispering, "You have no idea how this feels for me…"
"HhahhaaAAAAHH! Yang, FUCK!" Each of Weiss's vocalisations were halfway between her usual cries of pleasure, and sobs of dismay. It seemed this was a lot more difficult for her to handle overall.
And it was true, she would never know how that felt; she didn't have the proper equipment. Part of her wished she did, at least for a day. To know how Yang felt pleasure and how it differed from how she herself did. Anything there was to know about her lover, she wanted to know.
Still biting her lip, Yang slowly pulled her hips backward, starting to drag her cock against the inner walls. She was taking this well, it seemed. But she wanted to hear for sure. "D-Doing okay?"
Again, as she was exited she more groaned than screamed or sang out, but she did her best to sound at least marginally less emotionally heightened as she responded, "F-fine! I… I like it, I p-promise!" Wet eyes gazed over her shoulder. "Y-you?"
Nodding gradually, she looked back at the wettened eyes. And when back far enough, she stopped for another moment to breathe heavily, going back to stroking her skin rather than grasping firmly. They'd gotten this far, to push her any faster may ruin it for the both of them.
"I'm loving it," she breathed. "You're… heh… I'm gonna steal your line here… You're such a tight little princess."
One of the tears finally made its way down Weiss's cheek as she smiled up at her lover. "I… I love it when you call me 'princess'." Then she bit her lip and glanced back down to what was going on inside of her, just out of sight over her shoulder. "You… like being so tightly inside of me? Is it better than the other way?"
Adjusting her hips back and forth again, it made her moan softly once more. It was much tighter, that was for sure. But tightness wasn't necessarily all Yang wanted. She couldn’t help remembering how much Weiss seemed to dislike her own anatomy and she knew there was only one answer she could give.
"Nah. I mean, it does feel really, really good," she admitted, moving the better hand instead to her breast. Or at least, what she could grab of it through her clothing. She couldn't decide what she preferred, but in the end, as she groped her slightly, she whispered, "But maybe we should save this for special occasions, hmm? I still like the way we always making love. And I want that again. Soon."
A nervous, bashful laugh floated out of her. "This is very special. I'm… I got my Yang back." Again, the tears threatened, but she sniffled and grunted, "And my Yang is going to take me from behind, because that's what Lao wants tonight, right?"
And a blush filled grin was the main response, as well as a slow nod. "It sure is." Having waited long enough, her bodyguard started to push her hips forward again. This time, increasing the speed by a fraction. She knew they wouldn't be doing this quickly, not for a long time; but for now, they could take it slow and still get the best result.
"AhhhhHHAH!" Weiss sang out, head whipping back so far it almost reached her shoulderblades. Somehow, it seemed to be even bigger than a moment ago, which was impossible… wasn't it? Yang did get bigger the more aroused she became. Not usually by that stage, of course; once they were already engaged in sex, her cock seemed to be as thick as it could become. Still… she couldn't deny it was filling her completely, stretching out her virginal skin and stimulating the unprepared membranes inside of her.
And this time, when she contacted Weiss's backside, she was already drawing back out again. No longer leaving time for Weiss to breathe, but maintaining the very slow and gradual thrusting up at their pace. She did wonder if this was too fast, or if Weiss purely needed something else to cope.
Giving the breast she had a hold of another squeeze, she whispered, "You know… You can touch yourself if you need to."
The next laugh was nearly unhinged, and she almost sarcastically snapped, "Oh, I can, can I?!" There wasn't even time after that to follow up what she'd said before she was crying out again, back arching, pushing back against the mammoth presence that continued to drill into her untrained flesh as she also felt her chest being teased on the opposite end.
Yet more slow thrusts as she groped all the more. If it was going to help her diva weather what they were doing today, she'd do everything she could. At least, she would if she had two hands she could freely use, and the better hand was busy with her breast. However… there was something she could do with it, if Weiss wanted to.
"You okay with this so far?" she asked, then gripped a little harder. "Or shall I get a bit rougher?"
"Oh God, it gets rougher?!" But then she swallowed and looked over her shoulder, expression a bit lost in the roiling sea of sensation she was trying to navigate. "You… need to, don't you? To f-finish."
Having to take a few deeper breaths herself to try and calm down, she pushed herself fully inside again, and merely waited there. The warmth of Weiss's body was more than enough to keep her turned on, but Weiss bought up a very good point. Unless they picked things up, it would be very difficult to. And difficult for Weiss to, as well.
"Okay… We have two options." She looked her in the eye as best she could. "One, I pull out, new condom on, we do it as rough as we want in your pussy. Or two…" That was spoken as the casted hand brushed up her body, and instead started to stroke over whatever hair she could grasp, threatening to grab it. "We ramp things up."
The implications of that last idea were pretty ominous, and Weiss actually gulped, wide-eyed and fearful of what it could mean. Besides, she wanted to come so bad! And even though this was really hot, she didn’t think she would be able to without a little play amongst her petals. But this new area of exploration was too tempting; she had to know what might happen. Curiosity outweighed her misgivings.
"Fuck my ass," she whispered while looking dead into her lover's violet eyes.
That was that. She was given the order. Continuing to grope her breast, she began to pull herself back out again, this time at a slightly quicker speed. In addition, the casted hand acted. It grasped a handful of hair, pulling her princess with it rather hard to force her to face forward. And then, as she pushed back in faster, she felt her hips contact with Weiss's rear again. This time with a little SLAP!
"O-OHHH! OW!" Weiss yelped, not sure whether she was complaining about the dull ache spreading through her roots or the shaft that ground in past her cheeks. Both, probably. "Yang, y- AAAH! What are you doing to me?!"
"T-teaching… my princess how to take me," she managed to growl, lost in bliss. The rough treatment wasn't helping slow it down, either, and now that they'd settled into a neutral pace, she could feel her pleasure actually amounting to something. There was a chance now that she could finish where before she knew she couldn't. Continuing to thrust her grip back and forth on the breast, and pull her hair a little more backwards, she smirked. "This is what you want, don't you? Your knight to claim her prize for saving you?"
All the princess could do was buck in her knight's grip, head pulled back at an awkward angle and chest being handled so roughly — and all the while, feeling a huge presence inside of her ass, sliding in and out of her at a speed she wouldn't have thought safe to attempt. She was being ridden so hard! Turned into nothing more than a toy for Yang to use for her own personal enjoyment.
And she liked it. Maybe she also wanted other things, and would ask for them either later that night or on a night in the near future. And maybe this would be the only time they tried something rough like this. Either way, it was undeniably exciting, and seemed to fill that primal need inside her that usually cried out to be coated in Yang's essence, to have love bites left on her neck.
"Y-yes!" she finally sobbed when there was a particularly rough pinch at her nipple through the material of her costume. "Yes, claim me! Claim m-my ass, my knight!"
The blonde was finally able to let out her own soft and needy moans. It felt fantastic now that they had picked up the pace, and she could feel herself coming along faster than she ever had before. Even faster than if her diva took her in her mouth, which she was getting increasingly good at the last she checked. But she needed for Weiss to be enjoying this, as well.
Although pinching her nipple still, she leant in toward her ear, which thankfully wasn't too far because of her pulling. Speaking softly again, she asked, "Do you want this to keep going?" But then the hand suddenly released her hair, moving further down her body along her stomach. "Or shall I touch you myself?"
A grunt came from Weiss as she forced herself to focus, and she managed to rasp out, "Y-your arm…" But the hand that was drifting lower felt so good, she didn't want it to stop. However, she finally licked her lips and did what she had been trained to do by the few years she had spent in the music industry; push through the pain.
"Back to my hair," she ordered the blonde as she just barely managed to drag her hand away from supporting her weight and reached down to touch Yang's cast. "I… I got this."
Nodding, Yang did as she was asked – silently admiring how strong her girlfriend was. And the casted hand returned to her hair once more, grasping another handful and pulling. Occasionally in the moments she was thrusting forward, she'd be pulling her harder to bring her in toward her, and moaning out in unison. She couldn't stop herself, the moans simply slipped out each time she delved inside. At this rate, she really would be finishing sooner then Weiss, unless her diva changed that.
Which the princess attempted to do moments later, reaching up to do what she had done so often while looking at the video of her doing exactly what Yang was doing to her now. All those times she watched it, grinding her fingers back and forth against her aching clit, crying and moaning and hating herself for still loving it so much… and she somehow never thought the same act would be performed on her.
"AHAHHHHHH!" she yelped the instant her fingers began to slide across her folds. "Ohhhhh shit, I- MMHHH! It's so much m-more, it's too much, I- YAANNNG!"
Moaning out with her, the grin on her face never shifted once. All the singing, and the wailing, and every noise Weiss made was a godsend. It was bringing her closer to her limit again, as she let herself slide in and out with that bit more speed. Grasping her breast tighter again, she could feel her legs beginning to quiver, so close to where Weiss was starting to touch herself, and she could hear her own moans getting higher pitched. She was close.
All Weiss could make herself do was repeat Yang's name over and over as she ground her fingers back and forth, gathering some of her own moisture before she raised them up to focus on what would catch her up to Yang the fastest. The nub welcomed her efforts, and she was soon keening higher and higher as her own orgasm neared.
"F-Fuck me harder, Yang! Fuck m-my ass as hard as you can!!!"
But the inevitable was happening. Before Yang could obey Weiss's command, her eyes were shutting tightly as she gripped everything harder, legs shuddering all the more as she yelled out loudly, and her cock throbbed inside that tightest little opening. If not for the latex covering, she would be filling Weiss with how much she felt come out of her, all the pent-up energy being released in one go.
But Weiss still wasn't completely satisfied. Not yet. And she couldn't leave her when she was so close, that would be cruel and unfair after so long. She had to obey, even at the sacrifice of her own afterglow. And so keeping her iron grip, she continued to thrust as fast as she could with her recently spent member, biting her lip to try and prevent calling out against it.
Hardly a few more thrusts were necessary. After all their experience together, it was obvious when Weiss reached that moment of highest pleasure — even moreso now that the shrieks turned to song on occasion. Her entire body shivered and convulsed as she rode out the orgasm, feeling the oddest sensation of her life as her ass clamped down around the thing that refused to leave. That had forever ended its virginity.
Leaving herself inside while Weiss rode out the last of her own orgasm, Yang released her hair and her breast. Both hands instead held onto her back as she tried to keep herself stood up, panting loudly as she tried to collect herself again. That would be no easy task after expending all of that energy.
Speaking of which… Once sure Weiss was done, she tilted her head to try and see her, forcing out a whisper. "You okay… if I pull out?"
"Y-yeah," Weiss panted weakly, face-down on the mattress. "Just… go slow… but yeah, I… think…"
Nodding slowly, Yang did as asked. And very gradually, she pulled herself back, feeling the member start to slide out of her. There were one or two involuntary spasms from them both, one especially from Yang when she got to the very end. But eventually, she was out with no harm done. Looking down to the covered member, and then to her fingers, she remembered just where they'd been. "You okay if I wash up, too?"
All Weiss could do was nod, and roll onto her side. Pulling out had been… rougher than going in, and most of during. By that point, the lion's share of the lube had evaporated. As Yang headed into the bathroom, she worried whether or not her body would be alright in the morning.
She also worried if her mind would, too. This was something she'd never even contemplated would happen to her, and she had taken it in stride. Let Yang jump right in there, and taken it deep. This would probably happen again. Many times. And she wasn’t sure how she felt about that.
These were thoughts that Yang also briefly thought about while she was preparing herself for bed. Throwing the condom straight in the trashcan and immediately washing her hands, she continued to think to herself about what they'd just done. Did Weiss actually enjoy it as much as she was saying? Or was she just putting up with it for her benefit? She was unsure. All questions she had to ask when she returned.
And after a good helping of mouthwash to clean her tongue from where it had been, she did return, and ran a hand through her hair as she looked to her princess. Who was still flopped onto the bed.
"So…" Weiss cleared her throat, still unable to move. "I hate to bring this up and ruin the moment, but… sh-should I be worried about… um…" Her voice got more and more meek. "The b-bathroom… after stretching me out like that?"
Unable to help herself, there was a slight chuckle as she walked to her diva's side and began to undress her, slowly pulling down her skirt so it was off and out of the way, throwing it to one side with Yang's own clothes. "Not at all," she reassured, leaving a light tap on her bare cheek as she began to undo the body piece, slowly preparing her for bed. "Just like I didn't. It all goes back to how it was."
There was a quiet harrumph, then a sniffle. Clearly, Weiss had shed tears during their lovemaking, and even a few afterward. "W-well, if there does end up being a mess, I expect you to take care of it. I am a… a p-princess, right?"
Instead, Yang only lightly tapped her backside again, grasping one of her cheeks firmly. "There won't be. But yes, I will take care of you. Starting now."
And she did. Slowly working her out of the rest of the outfit, the body piece, her shirt, and the bra, she tossed all the pieces back with the pile of clothing. And then straight after, picked her up to place on the bed properly. After a session like that, Yang certainly wasn't up for round two, and doubted Weiss would be either.
Being gently laid on the bed did turn up the corners of Weiss's mouth, and she finally moved just enough to wriggle under the sheet. Otherwise, there was no drastic movement from her, nothing more said. Yang had promised to take care of her. As fragile as she was feeling after an overwhelming experience like that, she trusted her. Completely.
And there she left her while she handled the rest. That included switching out the light, and putting cell phones on chargers for the next day. It was incredible how quickly Yang could switch from screwing Weiss in her most forbidden entrance to being a loving girlfriend who did all the chores. Once satisfied everything was done, she pulled up the covers and nestled into Weiss's side rather happily, enjoying every moment of her warmth. Though speaking softly; she did want to reassure her of something.
"I… kinda did mean that 'special occasions' thing." She pulled her in closer a moment. "It's good, felt good… but I think I prefer the normal way as a regular thing. Or… or you fucking me with our blue friend. But mostly the normal way, yeah."
"Yeah?" Weiss asked in a breathy whisper as she nestled in against Yang's warmth, taking a few shaky breaths. "Because… th-that was fun. We'll have to do it again when we… get back to Nashville." Then she added, "Can I tell you something?"
"Hmm?" she asked, though the corner of her mouth also pulled. "You gonna show me that secret at last?" Weiss tutted and squeezed Yang just a little tighter, unable to really kick her or swat at her in her current state. Though she was tempted to find the energy for at least a pinch.
"I'm… scared. This is stupid, but I'm scared that I liked that. I mean… it seems like every time we sleep together, everything I understand about the world changes all over again. And I both love that, and am terrified of who I'll be a few years from now because of it."
"Well, I'm flattered to know that sex with me is mind-blowing, for a start." Keeping Weiss close against her, she left a kiss on the top of her head, slowly stroking her back again to soothe her. "We're changing all the time. You, me, everyone. It's kind of a thing that happens. So why fight it? You're a wonderful person, and I'm sure as you change and grow, you still will be a wonderful person. You ain’t getting ‘worse’ or anything. Just different, and maybe better."
The response to that was hugging Yang yet closer, kissing against her neck. Then she took a deep breath and whispered, "And so do you. Love you."
Smiling warmly, she continued to pet her that little bit more as they both started to doze away to sleep. But that wasn't before first saying; "Love you too, princess."

Evening Report - 28/30
Chapter 28: ending an era
[Ao3] [FFN] [Fic Tag]
Fic Summary: Blake Belladonna has one job in her life, and its to provide accurate information in a timely manner. A relatively mundane story is all that it takes to throw her into direct contact with Weiss Schnee, whose family secrets could make or break Blake's career as a journalist.
Word Count: 3,793
Chapter Summary: Verdicts are made about Weiss and Blake's futures.
Author's Notes: I’m hoping to post the last 2 chapters of this sometime over the next couple days. Thank you all for reading!
"You’ve really gotten yourself into a world of shit, Blake." Ilia said the words over the phone, sounding very annoyed. The fact that the two of them were up at three of the morning on the phone had a lot to do with it. The fact that Ilia was suddenly juggling the story and the fallout of Adam’s arrest had more to do with it.
[Read it on Ao3] [Read it on FFN]
Blake was sitting by the river where she and Weiss had gone a few times in the past, still in the clothes that she'd gone to the Schnee Fundraiser in. She wished that she had a chance to change into something which was more suited to sitting outdoors, but she hadn’t felt like going straight home. She still felt like there was adrenaline in her veins.
"I know." Blake sighed. "I did what I needed to do."
"They're firing you." Ilia bit the words out, very angry. "I'd be expecting a call from Sienna any moment, but— " She let out a noise of annoyance. "You know that she's going to have to pay Adam's bail, right? And that she knows you left? And that Adam’s definitely going to tell her what happened?"
"Adam committed an assault." Blake said calmly. She looked back over her shoulder, almost afraid that someone was going to show up and try to bother her. "That doesn't have anything to do with me. He can tell her what happened. I’m not worried about what will happen." The wind blew her hair out of the bun it had been pinned up into. It’d been falling loose for hours. “Not really.”
Ilia went silent, clearly unhappy with the way that things were going. At the end of the day, Blake knew that she had probably only managed to cause a massive headache for Ilia. Asking for the story that she'd written to be put out when it was, putting herself into a position to be fired, actively sabotaging Adam—
Whatever she ended up getting was probably going to end up being something that she deserved. Blake understood that, and she was willing to pay for what she did.
That didn't mean that she had to like it, or that she wasn't going to be making plans on the side to make sure that she was going to have a way out of trouble.
"Blake, that isn't what this is about. You chose to go on that story with him, and it seems like you were intending for it to be trouble." Ilia grumbled. "What was your endgame in all of this?"
"That doesn't matter." Blake mumbled back to Ilia. "Look, if Sienna calls... tell her that I'm gone."
"You're quitting?"
"I'm going to be fired anyways." Blake explained calmly. "Nothing that I do will be enough to change that, and you and I both know it."
Ilia was silent. Blake closed her eyes and waited for her to say anything else that could do something to spur things along.
“I can’t tell you how angry I am at you, Blake.” Ilia hissed through the phone. “But I’ll pass the message along. Don’t think that I’m happy about it. If she comes calling for you, I’m not going to keep her from getting through to you.”
“I understand.”
“Good.” Ilia snapped. In the few seconds after, Ilia hanged up, and Blake listened to the tone that came after for a moment too long. She couldn’t pretend like everything was okay for her. She couldn’t act like she was going to be alright for sure, since she still had so much that she was going to need to look into. Blake knew for a fact that she could go home, but there was too much else going on.
She didn’t even know if Weiss was okay. That alone was likely to keep her in Atlas, at least until she had a more clear picture of what was going to happen to her. If she was truly going to leave, then she was going to need to talk to Yang about that before she left. The two of them were going to need a plan for what was to come after everything. Yang was still going to need for her to help out with the rent, and how long that would take Blake didn’t know. She could pay bills from afar if she needed to. Online payments were always a thing.
Blake dropped her phone into the space beside her on the bench and stared out across the river. Without Weiss there to join her, it was a much less beautiful sight. Too quiet and too cold.
In the end, she didn't go back to her apartment until dawn was just beginning to break over the city.
After nearly a full day of time in the hospital, Weiss was released back to the world. She hadn’t had many chances to change out of what she wore to the fundraiser. The main difference was that she now had a jacket that Klein had brought her. She could hide her face behind the hood and hide her injuries along with it.
Even still, Klein made a point to stay close by her side where nobody could harm her. He was protective in a way that Weiss wasn’t always used to seeing.
Surprisingly, Weiss didn't really feel like she wasn't in any danger. Not anymore, at least.
The mansion was empty come time for her arrival in the morning. Weiss slipped inside as quietly as she could and made her way up towards her bedroom. When she opened the door, Weiss cast a quick glance around to double check that nothing had changed there since she'd left.
Her things were undisturbed, presumably aside from the package of clothing that Klein had decided to bring her.
For now, she didn't have to worry. Weiss crawled into bed and reached for her phone. She sent a quick text to Blake just to ensure that she knew that Weiss was alright, and pulled the warm blankets up over her. Over breakfast, Weiss knew that she was going to have to face her father. The option to not attend was there, of course, but that wasn't what Weiss really wanted to do. She just needed some space.
What she needed was time to process what had happened, like Klein would say.
Her father wasn't going to be happy with her at all. He wasn't going to be happy about anything that she'd done, or that she'd gotten involved in. He was going to look at the injury on her face and only feel concerned for how he thought his reputation had been hurt overnight when news would inevitably get out that one of The Fang's writers had been arrested for an assault at a Schnee party.
Weiss was definitely prepared for what was going to happen, she just didn't know where she would go after. Calling Neptune or Coco was of course an option, but Weiss wasn’t sure how good of an option it really was. She could just ask them and make sure that she had a way out when she needed it.
She could talk to Blake as well, but Blake was probably worrying about the same things herself. Probably much more, since Weiss had serious doubts Blake would be able to keep her job.
For two or three hours, Weiss laid awake, staring up at the ceiling of her bedroom and feeling completely lost in her own head.
Eventually the time would come where she needed to get up and join everyone else in her family’s home. That didn’t mean that she was going to enjoy it or that she would relish in the opportunity. Weiss nearly had to force herself to get dressed before leaving her bedroom and walking down the empty halls and too-large staircases.
Her father sat at the table, alone. In his hands there was a copy of a magazine that he’d been brought, along with a tablet sitting on the table like it too held some article that he’d been reading.
Like Blake’s article, Weiss thought.
The sound of her heel clicking against the tile floor aleterted her father to her presence though. He looked up at her with as severe of an expression as always and carefully folded the magazine he’d been reading shut. “Weiss.” He greeted her, perpetually frowning. “I see that you’re home.”
“I am, father.” Weiss replied, falling into place at the end of the room like she’d been trained, holding her head up high, and folding her hands together behind her back. “I’m sorry that I didn’t let you know.”
“But of course you are.” He muttered, not sounding convinced at all. “Though I suppose that you have other reasons for staying away. Not just whatever ugly scar you have there.”
Weiss swallowed. Her brother had definitely told him at this point, she was sure of it. Her father knew what she had been up to, and this was it. She was going to be run out of her family’s home and left to fend for herself. It was time for everything that she had been preparing for to finally fall into place.
"I'm sorry." Weiss said, swallowing hard and continuing to stand up tall. "I didn't mean for it to happen."
"That would run contrary to everything that I have uncovered with regards to your... assault last night." Jacques explained. "Your brother was happy to share the story with me."
Just like that, Weiss felt her stomach sink because she knew where this was going to end. All she could hope was that he'd kept the one thing that she'd needed kept secret quiet.
"Oh." Weiss' eyes flicked down to her feet rather than her father. She wasn't going to be able to actually look him in the eye anymore. "I'm sorry, father"
Jacques grunted. "I'm sure that you understand that I can't have another family embarrassment on my hands. Your mother and Winter are bad enough, but you Weiss?"
Her face began to burn as it flushed red in shame.
"I thought that you would have been better than this. I thought that as my eldest legitimate child, you would understand that you need to keep appearances." Jacques stood up and walked over towards her. "And since you have disappointed and embarrassed me, I must take action."
No chance for her to explain herself. No chance for her to defend her position or offer another explanation.
This was what she needed to be ready for.
"Of course, father." Weiss' voice came out too meek and quiet. She felt terrible enough as things were. "I understand."
"I must recommend that you leave the manor immediately. In the future you are not to show your face around our family events. You are not to contact myself, your brother, or your mother. You are not to contact any of the members of my staff. Are I clear?"
"Yes, sir." Weiss whispered. This was better than what she could have faced. "Is that all?"
Jacques rolled his eyes and walked to the table again, picking up the tablet and turning it on. He looked down at the information that was on it. Weiss couldn't crane her neck enough to see what it was.
"I should do more." Jacques muttered, his anger obvious. "Seeing as you have chosen to air our family's dirty laundry to the world." He looked back at her out of the corner of his eye, anger written clearly across his face. "I would recommend leaving before my mood worsens."
And that was something that Weiss could understand, something that she could read into easily enough.
She gave a tiny bow and left the room as quickly as she could before hurrying up to her bedroom. Weiss gave herself four minutes to pack everything that she'd brought with her to Atlas into a bag before adding  other things that were in the room to it. Once she was sure that she had everything that she could have needed, Weiss reached for her phone and made a phone call.
"Blake?" Weiss asked, as soon as the other end picked up.
"Weiss." Blake greeted her, sounding both groggy and relieved. "Are you okay?"
"I am." Weiss confirmed, taking a deep breath. "But I need a place to stay until I figure out where I'm going to go after this. I can explain when I see you."
"Yeah," Blake sighed. "Sure. Just come over and we can figure this out."
"Thank you." Weiss whispered. "I'll be over shortly."
"Right. I'll see you." Blake hanged up like that, and Weiss took a breath before doing the same. That was as good as it was going to get.
Weiss allowed herself to make one more call for a cab since getting Klein's help probably wouldn't work, but before it could go through, there was a knock on the door. Weiss hung up.
"Who is it?"
"Klein, miss Schnee. I believe that there are some things that you and I must discuss."
"Come in."
The door opened. Weiss felt a terrible, terrible weight in her chest. This was going to be her last time seeing Klein in person most likely. "You know," Weiss started. "I was told not to talk to you anymore."
"I believe that is an order which will likely start once you leave the premises." Klein said, holding his head up high, closing the door behind him. "I was going to extend the offer to drive you away."
Weiss let out a breath. "Thank you." She turned to face him now, tears already beading in her eyes. "I'm going to be going to Blake's now that I... can't be here anymore."
"You did the right thing, Weiss." Klein told her. "I am sorry that this is how it'll end up. Are you feeling quite all right?"
"No." Weiss whispered. "Not at all. I'm hurt, and being run off. I know what I'm supposed to feel."
"Of course." Klein stood tall and opened his arms, the invitation more than obvious. Weiss rushed at him and wrapped her arms around his neck, tilting her head to cry into Klein's shoulder. "I understand, Weiss."
"I don't want to lose you." Weiss whispered into Klein's shoulder. "But I have to."
"This won't be the end, Weiss." Klein tried to comfort her, gently rubbing her back. "I promise you that. He can’t control everything.”
Weiss wanted to feel convinced, she really did, but it wasn't that easy. She took a deep breath and nodded before following Klein out to the car. He helped her to carry her luggage on the way out, and when Weiss climbed in, Klein treated her the exact same way that he would have in any other circumstance.
Her having just been disowned wasn't what mattered.
Klein took his spot behind the wheel and adjusted the mirror. Weiss caught a glimpse of herself in it, and while she wanted to think that she looked wrong, she couldn't make herself feel that way. It was just a scar.
"Are you ready?"
"I am." Weiss confirmed.
Klein began the drive across the city, and the two of them stayed mostly silent. If the two of them weren't going to be able to be in contact for some time, then Weiss had an idea as to what she could do. It wouldn't have been that hard for her to get a new number to call Klein with it. He wasn't going to just cut her off like her father wanted. Klein cared about her.
"I do hope that you'll be well, Weiss." Klein said, pulling up in front of Blake's apartment. He parked there and turned, looking back to face Weiss head on. "Is there anything else that you think you need?"
"No." Weiss sighed, rallying herself. She turned and reached for the door. Klein saw and got out just the same though, walking around the side of the car and pulling it open for Weiss. She stepped out and looked up at the building. It was just as unassuming as always. Blake's bike was probably parked in her spot in the back. "I think that I'll be well."
Klein stepped in and hugged Weiss. "If you ever think that you may need me, just call."
"Of course." Weiss whispered back to Klein.
He pulled back and Weiss nodded, going to let herself in because Blake was going to be waiting for her anyways. She pushed the button on the buzzer and was let in immediately. Weiss smiled slightly, adjusting her bags and followed the same path inside that she always would have.
When she got to the apartment, Blake was the only one there, and the door was unlocked. Weiss let herself in and slipped out of her shoes by the door.
"Hey." Weiss greeted Blake.
Blake looked over at her, and the immediate look of relief that crossed over her face was enough to help Weiss relax slightly. She set down the knife that she'd been chopping something with and walked over to the door, probably expecting to help Weiss with her bags.
But instead of reaching for the bags, Blake went for Weiss' face. Her hands cupped Weiss' cheeks gently, and they were warm and soft, just like Weiss had thought they would be. "Hello." Weiss whispered back to Blake. "I'm okay."
"Yeah." Blake sighed, squeezing her eyes shut in a pained way for just a moment. She rushed in and wrapped her arms around Weiss. It was done slowly enough that Weiss had plenty of time to brace herself for it. "I'm so sorry about what happened."
"You did fine." Weiss whispered into Blake's ear, tilting her head and letting it rest on Blake's shoulder. "I'm glad you were there."
"Good." Blake pulled away and gestured to the living room. "You can just... find a place to put your things. It'll be fine."
Weiss picked up her bags and walked over to a corner, setting her things back down in a neat pile. "Thank you for letting me come over."
"I don't mind it." Blake replied, sighing. "The last day's been pretty... hectic."
"It has." Weiss replied. "I was disowned this morning."
"I'm sorry." Blake mumbled, and Weiss wanted to feel comforted but that wasn't what happened. Instead, it was just exactly what she'd been expecting and exactly what she'd prepared for. "I got fired this morning. For what it’s worth."
"I'm sorry."
It was quiet for a moment, neither of them knowing what to say. Weiss took a breath and walked over to join Blake in the kitchen. Now that she could see it, Blake was chopping an eggplant into slices.
"I think that I was preparing for it." Blake mumbled. "The good thing is that Adam hasn't been bailed out yet, as far as I know. But once he gets out I'm probably going to skip town."
Weiss nodded. "And then what?"
"My family are going to be happy to have me home." Blake shrugged, looking away from Weiss. "I figured that I would be able to go back and figure out where to go from there. Were you planning to go back to Vale?"
Weiss shook her head, looking down at her hand where it rested on the counter. "I haven't gotten a chance to figure it out with Neptune or Coco just yet. I'll leave when I know, but right now I don't know."
Blake nodded. "I'm sure you'll figure it out."
"I will." Weiss sighed. "I'm going to miss you, though."
That was the truth of it all, in far too many ways and Weiss knew it. She was going to miss Blake. Now that she's done her part with Blake, and Blake has gotten her story, Weiss doesn't actually know what she has left that she can offer the other woman.
Blake losing her job gave her a little bit more security in her situation, but it still wasn't enough.
Across the counter, Blake picked up the cutting board and pushed the chopped vegetables on it off and into a pot of something. Whatever she was making, Weiss didn't know. "It doesn't have to be that way."
"What?" Weiss paused, completely lost suddenly. There wasn't a way that she was going to be able to get that much out of Blake, was there? How was she going to be able to keep contact with Blake beyond phones. "What do you mean?"
"Well, we have options." Blake said nonchalantly. "We can try to do a long distance relationship."
"I like you a lot, Blake, but I don't know that's something that I want to do." Weiss sighed. "It'd be a lot of work."
"Yeah." Blake mumbled. "It would be."
Weiss took a deep breath. She had to figure out what she was going to do in Vale once this was over with. Without knowing whether she was going to be able to continue her life there, Weiss couldn't feel secure making any choices. Blake was going to be a part of her life stuck in limbo, it seemed.
Blake smiled at her though, and it almost made her feel more confident. "We can make this all work." Blake reassured Weiss. "I'm going to go back to Kuo Kuana, but I don't know how long that will last."
"You'll be with your family, though?"
"I will be." Blake shrugged. "But I don't think that's going to be a permanent arrangement."
She paused and her eyes went wide. Weiss watched silently as Blake lunged for her phone and picked it up. She locked eyes with Weiss. "Watch the pot so it doesn't boil over. I'll be right back."
"What are you doing?" Weiss got up and walked around the other side of the counter.
Whatever Blake was doing, Weiss couldn't be sure and Blake didn't give an answer to the question.
That was far from encouraging, and Weiss really didn't know how she was supposed to feel.
She watched the pot, but from the kitchen she could hear Blake on the phone in another room, obviously talking to someone hurriedly and almost excitedly.
Weiss watched the pot, trying too hard not to think about it. It probably wasn't going to be anything important, not for her.
Fifteen minutes later, Blake came into the room and smiled at Weiss. She crossed the room and stepped in close to Weiss before pressing her lips to Weiss'.
Weiss smiled into the touch, and when she began to open her mouth to ask what exactly was going on, Blake only cut her off.
The news made Weiss' heart jump in her chest and it felt like she couldn't really breathe.
She loved Blake. So so much.

RWBY Volume 4 Episode 9
Episode 9 features a chase sequence with Blake and Sun that feels like a mess from beginning to end. Characters stop what they’re doing to look behind them (in the middle of an urgent chase), Sun’s dialogue seems inconsistent with his past behavior, Sun shows a lack of previously impressive fighting skills, and the animators either disregarded any sense of physics or just completely forgot where things and characters were placed in order for the plot to progress. On the bright side, Tai and Yang seem to act like normal people now in what feels like a radical, but welcome, shift from their Episode 4 behavior.
Tai and Yang
I was very shocked by this scene for a couple of reasons. It feels like a completely different writer or director took over for this scene. The interaction between Tai and Yang is so different from that in Episode 4. The joking between them feels natural and not mean spirited. Of course, I always give extra credit to scenes with just two characters in them, though we needed a conversation just between Yang and Tai long before this.
She mentions they’ve been at it for weeks and the vibe I get from Yang is that she has fully overcome her fear of the mechanical arm as well as her PTSD. Was the Episode 4 conversation supposed to do that? Or the past few weeks of fighting with her Dad? It just feels a little fast for me. I felt like that was going to be a main theme of this season and maybe beyond, but maybe they feel they dealt with it for long enough.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In Episode 7, I mentioned I enjoyed how much physical space there was between Weiss and her father because it could interpreted as a metaphor. But that physical space between the characters returns again here. They start close, Tai walks away, then returns later. Maybe RT is still trying to use space as a metaphor for how distant they actually are, but in the context of this pep talk it feels a little strange.
Tumblr media
There are also points when he’s not even looking at Yang and it felt like Weiss’s father spent more time looking at Weiss when they were yelling at each other. In the Episode 7 fight between Weiss and her father, he keeps walking to the door and away from her, until she says something that he feels the need to respond to and turns around. In Episode 9, Tai spends a lot of time looking at a tree while talking about Raven.
Maybe the space was never a metaphor and RT was just trying to get more usage out of the environments they are spending so much time modeling.
 Weiss
Not much to say about Weiss but I’m glad her situation is progressing. It was good.
 Blake and Sun’s chase
Tumblr media
We’ve seen these two in a chase sequence before in Volume 2 Episode 4, one of my favorite episodes. I know it’s not really fair to compare the two, but there are some noticeable differences in how these characters behave in Episode 9 given their past behavior, even in this same season.
Tumblr media
When the chase sequence got to rooftops, I couldn’t help but think of Trinity’s escape at the beginning of the first Matrix movie. I know Monty loved The Matrix so maybe this was a nod to that. While the potential reference is nice, it falls very short if they were trying to imitate it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
At two points in the chase, once in the trees and another on the rooftop, both Blake and Ilia stop as Ilia looks behind her with apparent frustration that Blake is keeping up. This really slowed down the chase in my opinion and made it feel less urgent and tense. If she even has time to stop and look behind her, does she really want to escape?
A quick pass through some other famous movie chase scenes, or even chases from Vol 2 and 3, show that this rarely happens. Why it was done here? I’m not sure.
In the fight, Ilia seemed to show a lot of hesitation when it came to Blake in not shooting her, running way, etc. There appears to be some history there, but that doesn’t explain why she would keep stopping in the middle of the chase. Nor does it explain why Blake kept stopping with her.
Tumblr media
There was another shot were we see Ilia run through a puddle and Blake follow shortly after. Props to the effects team for making that great ripple effect, but I also felt that this only served to look pretty and unintentionally slowed down the chase as well.
So they reach the end of the rooftops? And for some reason Ilia decides to stop and face Blake, even though it’s clear she doesn’t really want to. Ilia then strikes a pipe, which appears to have no effect on Blake. I don’t know if this was just supposed to show that Ilia’s attempts to stop Blake were futile, a chance for the team to show off particle effects, or Ilia hoped it was dangerous and didn’t know it was just steam that didn’t burn.
 Sun’s dialogue
Tumblr media
Sun jumps into the scene and says “Give it up! I'm not above hitting a girl you know.”
Tumblr media
I really do not understand who is writing this dialogue for him. Who is this line meant for? Certainly not the audience. Vol 3 Ep 2 shows him fighting a team of girls (NDGO) in the tournament. He makes zero comments about the other team’s sex and even berates Neptune for his “hands above the waist” remark. I just don’t understand why it’s even necessary for Sun to say this particular line other than someone on the writing team saying “Hey, Sun is a gentleman, he needs to say this.”
Later on he says, “Wait, you know her? But she doesn’t even look like a Faunus.” That last word is interrupted by his scream as he is whipped, but that’s what I’m assuming he was going to say. Sure the knowing her part makes sense, but the second part does not. The way these lines are put together makes it seem like he is surprised Blake knows someone who isn’t a Faunus. But why is that an issue?
From everything I’ve seen, Sun in Volume 4 is a completely different character than in previous volumes.
 Phantom phone
Tumblr media
From the beginning of the chase, right up until Ilia strikes Sun with her whip, I wasn’t even sure what Ilia was supposed to “give up”. I forgot about the scroll since they didn’t really show Ilia catching it. I thought she was just being chased for spying. And if you look closely, Ilia has no scroll in her hand in this shot.
Tumblr media
But then Blake goes in for a kick to knock a scroll out of her hand. Where did that scroll come from? Logically, you would have to put something like that in a pocket when you are jumping from tree to tree. That implies that Ilia took it out of her pocket after whipping Sun which makes no sense if you’re in the middle of a fight with two people. Or this could all just be a big animation error with Team B having the chase and Team A animating the fight and again not making sure those two segments matched up.
Sun is weak or inept because the plot demands it
We’ve seen Sun in action. Vol 1 Ep 16 Torchwick vs Blake and Sun, Vol 2 Ep 4 Torchwick vs everyone, Vol 3 Ep 2 SSSN vs NDGO. We know he’s a pretty capable fighter. Even in Episode 3 of this same Volume, we see he is almost ridiculously overpowered (along with everyone else) as he and Blake jump or fly for several minutes fighting a dragon.
Tumblr media
So he jumps on Ilia and that works until she head butts him. It seems at first just to make him stagger back, but when the camera moves to the next shot he is nowhere in sight. Did her headbutt have that much strength to throw him across the roof? If so, why can Blake take a kick from her and not be thrown across the roof?
Tumblr media
Then he throws 4 shadow clones on Ilia. But after 12 seconds of using 4 shadow clones, he is wiped out.
In Vol 2 Ep 4, he uses 2 shadow clones briefly to attack the mech and then follows that up with a physical attack. In Vol 4 Ep 3, he uses 2 shadow clones briefly and then 3 later to literally fly through the air with Blake. So while it’s true we haven’t seen him sustain 4 shadow clones at maximum power, his previous usage never seemed like he was exhausted. Also Vol 4 Ep 3, they were outrunning a dragon, which I would assume is more exhausting than chasing one person.
I also think it’s a little absurd that he hasn’t tried to max out his power before just in training. That seems like something Sun might do to show off or as a competition with Neptune.
Why couldn’t Sun have used the shadow clones to retackle Ilia and then jump back on her himself when he felt close to his limits? Or just use 2 or even 1? Then just avoid her headbutt for like 10 more seconds for Blake to get the scroll.
Tumblr media
The plot demanded that he needed to take a serious wound and weakening Sun was the only way to do that with this average level opponent. Who knows if it was really serious or just kind of temporarily paralyzing?
 Blake’s pause
After Sun activates his shadow clones, Blake continues towards the scroll and stops midway to look at Sun or Ilia. It’s a little hard to tell who she is looking at because of how the camera is positioned.
Sun says “Stop staring and grab it!” and Blake then continues on to the scroll.
If she’s looking at Ilia it could be because she thinks she recognizes her with half of her face exposed. If she’s looking at Sun, it could be a “you got this?” type of moment.
In either case, it just felt like the timing was off.
Tumblr media
Before Sun engages the shadow clones, the shot shows Blake running with Ilia close behind. Sure, Blake might do a quick turn to check how close Ilia is, but a full stop and turn? When she was almost on top of you?
Tumblr media
Isn’t there time after you get the scroll to stare at her face to determine if you know her?
So maybe she was looking at Sun, but if we look at Vol 2 Ep 4, that behavior doesn’t quite match up with the past.
Tumblr media
Sun and Neptune get knocked off the side of a highway by a mech. Blake turns her head to look, but doesn’t jump off the car, run to the side of the road to see if he’s okay. She just continues on with the main objective, because it’s a chase and an urgent situation. I get that these situations don’t exactly match up, but it’s as close as it comes.
Blake stopping in the middle of things is a bit like Ilia continually stopping during the chase sequence to look behind her. In fact, it’s almost exactly like that. I guess the consistency is to be praised. But again it slows down the action and makes it feel less urgent.
 Ilia just leaves
Tumblr media
After Ilia has taken down Sun with her whip, it’s a 1v1 fight. Blake doesn’t even have a weapon.
Here’s the conversation
Ilia: Give it to me
Blake: No
Ilia stirs up some dust and disappears. It was just incredibly disappointing that she would go through all this trouble and then just walk away because Blake said no. I get there seems to be hesitation in Ilia to attack Blake directly but she does defend herself when Blake attacks.

Imagine Me and You (Bees Ver.)
((Yep, you read that right. Happy Day 4, y’all!))
---
"You're late, Rubs."
Yang manages to shoot a glare towards her sister while hauling flowers to the back of her SUV.
"I'm only late because you expected me to be on time," Ruby chimes, "What's the job?"
"Wedding."
Just as she thought, her sister starts getting too excited. "Nice couple?"
Yang shrugs, "Haven't met them."
"Do you want to come to Weiss' with me later? Jaune, Ren, Nora, and Oscar are coming." Ruby asks. Yang felt the eagerness oozing off of Ruby. She kept going with the flowers.
"Sure."
Ruby gasps, "You will?"
"Absolutely."
"Great! We'll go together!"
"I'll meet you there."
Ruby's hopeful outlook is replaced by a frown. "You're not coming."
"I'd rather watch the Pumpkin Pete's commercial a hundred times," Yang replies as she grabs the last batch, trying to organize the flowers a bit more.
Ruby scoffs, "You need a love life."
Yang kisses Ruby on top of her head, "I have a beer and a couch. They suit me fine. Text me when you leave if I'm not home yet. Say hello to Weiss for me."
It wasn't that Yang had been heartbroken or anything like that. She's just really busy with work. She loves her flowers, and just hasn't found the motivation to actively look for someone. It all started when her dad married Ruby's mom, Summer. She thought she was going to hate her so much, but it ended up being the exact opposite. She let Ruby and her explore just about anything. She'd take them to trips outside the city just because, and she showed Yang how to really appreciate life. Their mom loved flowers when she was still alive. She would always tell them that flowers deserve love too, because it's easy to spot when a flower isn't where it's supposed to be.
Setting up at events like these gives her the space she needs to miss their mom without having to cry about it. She knew that her mom would be happy if she had seen what she's been doing.
As people filled the church, she gave herself a pat in the back as she sees a couple of them amazed by her work before looking for the groom party. She needed to help them with their corsages.
She spots them just by the front. There's two waiting for her at the front, and the groom is welcoming the guests. She helps the two, waits a moment before approaching him.
"Hi," Yang says.
He turns around along with a friend. "Hey."
"You're Sun, right? The groom?"
Sun smiles at her, "Yeah, yeah, I am."
Yang shakes his hand, "Well, I did your flowers."
"Oh! Well they look amazing. Yeah, they're great, aren' they, Neptune? He's my best man."
The blue haired guy flicks his fair with a free hand and says, "Not as great as you, pretty lady." Then, he winks at Yang.
"Easy there, lady killer." Yang says with a chuckle, as she passes on the corsages to them both. She looks at Neptune, "You want some help with this thing?"
"Yes. I work out, that's right."
Yang laughs.
"But just saying I don't have a six-pack though."
"No?" Yang plays along.
"No, got a twelve pack on this puppy."
Yang laughs more, "I don't really like men with muscles."
When Yang finishes up helping Neptune, a young boy named Mata approaches Sun accompanied by a woman named Kali, the bride's mom, and tells him he has a question for him.
Mata asks, "What happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object?"
Sun looked absolutely clueless, and the boy was about to walk away defeated when Yang stepped in, offering an answer. "It never happens." She pauses for a bit, "If there's a thing that can't be stopped... it's not possible for there to be something else which can't be moved, and vice versa. They can't both exist."
"You see, it's a trick question...," Yang looks up, meeting Kali's gaze, "..is the answer."
The young boy also looks at his mom, "Can she sit with me?"
That's how she found herself staying a bit before the ceremony starts, babysitting Mata. She strikes up a conversation with him once more, enough to keep him entertained until Kali comes back.
She looks at her, "Okay, you're good? I have to go set up the reception." Kali mouths, 'great', and Yang starts walking off the sides when the bridal march song starts playing. Usually she's out of there before anything starts, trying to save time because the reception is a much more hands on job, but since she was already here, she decides to take a glimpse of the bride.
That was her biggest mistake.
It really was because the bride looked her way, and it was like time stood absolutely still for a second just for them. The bride had her hair up, wearing a very simple dress, but she is without a doubt, the most beautiful woman Yang has ever seen. She sees the bride panic a little since she wasn't looking ahead instead, and it makes Yang smile as she continues to head out to the reception.
What she didn't know was that the bride looked back her way right after, disappointed that Yang was gone.
---
Everyone made their way to the reception, and it was everything Blake pictured it to be. This is supposed to be the best day of her life, but it's just been above average so far. Her dad talked about how tough marriage is the whole ride to the church, and how he's still not Sun's biggest fan, but he loves Blake nonetheless.
One interesting happened though, and it was that woman from the church. Okay, getting married was interesting too, it's just, it felt so right. She couldn't stop staring at her when she should have been staring at Sun. She couldn't stop thinking about it, and now, she lost her ring in the punch bowl because she's been so spaced out.
"Hi."
She turns around, and she lets out a small smile. It was the woman from the church. She fixes her dress, and says hi back.
"We haven't really met, I'm Yang."
Blake couldn't help but stare a bit. Yang is so beautiful. "I'm Blake."
"Well, Blake, I did your flowers."
Blake's smile gets bigger, "Really? Oh, they're beautiful. Thank you."
Yang returns her smile, "Anyway, I was just going to get...," She must have noticed that Blake was being partiularly protective of the bowl, "...a drink."
"Uh... I really wouldn't."
"What? Is there something wrong?" Yang asks.
Blake didn't know what to say. She just met Yang, and she doesn't want her to think that she was already a sloppy wife. For crying out loud, she lost her ring just hours after getting married.
Yang must have realized that she was hesitating, "I'm here to help," she says.
It's not like she knows anyone here enough to tell them about it. Whatever, she decides. "M-my ring. I was trying to get some punch and.. well.."
Yang places herself beside Blake by the punch, "Your wedding ring?!"
Blake puts her hand on her mouth, "Not so loud!" She realizes she's too close to Yang, so she jumps back a bit, "It fell off! I don't know how, but it's in there."
"And please tell me you tried the ladle?"
"N-Nothing."
"You also can't just empty..."
Blake throws her a defeated look, "I can't."
Yang looks at her, then the punch, and puts on this determined look, "Right, well, there's only one thing left to do. Cover me."
"What?"
"Use your dress or charm, I'm going in." She says as she pulls Blake by the waist as a wall between the people and her.
Startled, Blake says, "You can't just..."
Neptune comes from the right, "Hey, Blake, don't tell me you've had enough of Sun already?"
Blake moves to cover Yang, and it was a mistake because now she could feel her warmth too. It's so weird because it feels so right again.
"Ha, am I now?"
"Well, you're here, and he's there, so just let me know and I'd be happy to step in."
She feels Yang reaching for her left hand, and slipping the ring on her finger. Why is it that the way she did that felt much better than when Sun did it earlier?
"Hi!" She hears Yang say.
"Hey, you were that flower girl."
Blake intervenes, "This is Yang, our florist."
Neptune disregarging what Blake was saying and was just looking at Yang, "Name's Neptune, but you already know that so you can just call me anything you'd like." He reaches for the punch.
Blake and Yang share a look. Yang laughs, "And I'm sure I will."
---
"I need help. I messed up. I need a flower, but not just any flower, I need the best flower."
There goes Yang's peaceful morning. Once in a while, guys like these come, and it makes her question why she's a florist, but they're part of the fun of the job.
"Okay, anything in particular?"
"What about a rose? What would that say?"
Yang picks one up, "Love.."
"Love's good, I like love. That works."
"...and fidelity."
"We can't have a rose then."
Yang chuckles, "No. It's too common. There are other beauties out here, we'll find you something."
Yang buries herself with the flowers when someone comes in knocking the door to let her know. If she knew it's going to be busy, she would have at least had lunch.
"Be right with you," Yang yells.
They replied with, "That's fine," and Yang recognized the voice instantly so she turned around.
"Blake, hi."
"Hey."
Yang didn't know what to think except how this is such a nice surprise. "How are you?"
"Good, great."
They stare at each other after that. Yang didn't know what to say because she was so sure she wasn't going to see Blake again, but there she was at her doorstep, looking just as beautiful in jeans as she did in a dress. It would be a crime not to stare.
Their moment was interrupted by the guy asking Blake what her favourite flower was, and Blake said, "Lillies. I like lilies."
The guy pauses for a bit, mumbles to himself, and walks away to the other flowers outside.
"He was--"
"Would you like to come over?"
That took Yang by surprise. "Pardon me?"
Blake must have realized how that sounded, "Dinner. You. With Us. Sun and me."
It was brief, but Yang couldn't help but think how adorable that was. She could see Blake's cheeks brightening up a little bit.
"I mean, you don't have to-"
"I'd love to."
Blake gives her the warmest smile, "Great, see you Friday?"
"Sure, I'll just write down my number so you can text me the address."
"Perfect. See you, Yang."
Yang stares until her figure was too far to see. She's smitten over someone married, and it's not okay.
She still showed up to dinner though, flower at hand and everything. Their apartment was cute, big enough for two. First of all, Sun asked her if she believed in reincarnation mainly because Blake told him that she felt as though they've met before. Yang got so happy, finally getting some kind of statement of what Blake thinks of her. Then, they got into the conversation on whether or not she was thinking of getting married. She stole a glance at Blake, and with a dim smile she said, "Maybe now that the laws have changed."
Sun looked at her confused after that, and she had to clarify, "Well, I'm gay."
The rest of the night ended up a bit awkward because the couple had invited Neptune over hoping to play matchmaker.
Her relationship with Blake gets complicated after that. Wherever she goes, it's like she manages to see her no matter what. To make matters worse, Sun keeps putting them in the same situation. Yang is a good person. She would never be the one to ruin a marriage, especially a marriage between two good people. She's happy admiring Blake from afar through it all, it's just getting harder lately.
One day, she receives a call from Sun, asking her if she could take Blake out for the night. Her first instinct was to say no and resist, but Sun kept pushing that she didn't want Blake to be alone and that she's Blake's soulmate thing, so she had no choice but to say yes.
---
Blake knew it was a bad idea. First it was the dinner, now this. She found herself in a soccer game with Yang. It was a bad idea because she knew very little about basically any sport, so Yang's up close and personal, telling her just about anything that's going on.
It was a bad idea because she was loving every second of it.
Then, Yang comments on the way she shouts. It was funny, because she was just pretending to be so into the game.
Feeling so bold, she told her, "Teach me then."
"First off, tighten your stomach muscles."
Blake chuckles, "I don't think I've got any."
Next thing she knows, Yang is positioning herself closer, "Yeah you do," She puts a hand on her stomach, "They're right here."
Blake's breath hitches, "There.."
Yang smiles, "Tighten.. Yeah, tense them."
"They're pretty tense."
Without taking her hand off her stomach, Yang then says, "Okay, so next, broaden your diaphragm."
Blake looks at her confused, "My what now?"
Yang moves her hand higher, just a bit under her breasts. Blake definitely loses a breath or two, "It's here."
"O-oh."
"Okay, push it out against my hand."
Blake tries.
"You feel my hand?"
Her mouth ran without thinking when she said, "Maybe put them both there."
Yang places herself behind her, "Okay," instantly wrapping her arms around Blake.
It was a bad idea, because Blake couldn't even focus on anything else anymore. She closed her eyes for a second, feeling Yang's arms around her. Then she smiles at her, lost, when she starts talking about thinking about how your mouth is some kind of cathedral, and what not. She misses the warmth when Yang moved away, trying to explain it more, so instead, she just told her to demonstrate it.
She saw Yang hesitate for a bit before she said, "Like this."
"You're a wanker, Number 9!"
Yang's voice echoed through the stadium, and all Blake could do was stare at her. She thought about how much she had loved every second of being here.
They spend the rest of the night at the arcade, dancing, playing games, winning stuffed toys, laughing. Blake could not remember how long it had been since she had this much fun. That's why tonight was a bad idea, she knew she was falling for the wrong blonde.
On the way home, they pass by a couple of people celebrating with a karaoke machine. Suddenly, the air between them became a lot heavier, and it wasn't just the pollution.
"Tell me about the lily." Blake says.
Imagine me and you, I do I think about you day and night, it's only right
Yang chuckles, "You don't want to know about the lily."
"It's my favourite!"
To think about the girl you love and hold her tight So happy together
"Ask me about the.. azalea."
Blake sighs, "All right. What about the azalea?"
"The azalea means, 'May you achieve financial security.'" Yang states.
Blake scoffs first before looking at Yang, ready to mock her about that, but once she looks into those eyes, she forgot everything she had to say. Honestly, Yang's knowledge about flowers is really impressive.
I can't see me lovin' nobody but you For all my life
Blake looks away, "Lovely. Now, tell me about the lily."
Yang was silent for a bit, which makes Blake look at her. She was hesitant, not meeting her gaze at all. "The lily means..."
Yang smiles at the ground before meeting her gaze. "The lily means 'I dare you to love me.'"
It took Blake a second to process.
When you're with me, baby the skies'll be blue For all my life
What Yang didn't know was that she just might.
