Seeking redemption for her hand in her brother’s unfortunate death, Hot Pants dedicates her life to the church and is assigned by the Vatican to enter the Steel Ball Run race and gather the Saint's Corpse pieces.
As a child, Hot Pants and her brother were attacked by a grizzly bear, and HP chose to sacrifice him to save herself. The immense guilt she feels causes her to leave home and join a convent, hoping that becoming a nun will one day earn her forgiveness for what she has done. The hermit reversed represents the isolation Hot Pants forces herself into as she withdraws from her old life and cuts off her loved ones in favour of seeking absolution.
Hot Pants, on her mission from the church to find the corpse parts, is no stranger to using tricks to get what she wants. However, although she takes advantage of a weakened Gyro and Johnny and steals the parts they have, she does leave behind a piece of the spine, and helps them cross the Mississippi. The 6 of Pentacles reversed represents the more selfish side to charity, as HP only leaves them with the spine to further her own agenda.
During her confrontation with Valentine, HP is willing to do anything in order to attain the corpse parts, convinced this will help her earn forgiveness from her brother and god. This reckless abandon represented by the knight of wands reversed ends up leading her to her own doom.

Look I was screaming with Claudia last night about the first episode of S4 and how it goes with what we wrote because the parallels are kinda crazy so I need to highlight some things that we called out (unless you’re avoiding spoilers atm! Then don’t look!! Save yourself!!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kreese calling Robby the “King” tells us all we need to know about his motivations. He thinks as long as he has Robby, he can still play the game. He’ll sacrifice anyone else if that’s what it takes.
Kreese choosing to say to Robby (about Johnny) “he chose Diaz” was absolutely a deliberate choice of words.
Kreese saw how Tory reacted to Robby when he joined and is trying to get to Robby through her. Meanwhile Tory doesn’t know that she’s playing into Kreese’s hand that way; she genuinely wants Robby to join Cobra Kai, even though she may not act like it around the other Cobras. She’s the only OG left and she’s afraid of being singled out, but the fact that she keeps going to him in private and her reaction after the fight reveals what she really thinks.
Robby’s fighting stance is a lot more guarded, closer to his face and chest, and it looks more similar to Tory’s now. A key difference is that he keeps his angles low while Tory’s angles are quite literally aimed at herself.
In their first fight, Tory beats Robby by cheating and hitting him when he steps closer to help her up after a takedown. In the tournament we wrote, Robby beats her fairly and then offers his hand to help her get up, which she accepts. (First fight versus last fight, and we wrote it a full week before we ever saw the episode lmfao)

1. A Cowboy's Touch Abigail Jones intends to spend just one summer in middle-of-nowhere Montana with her Aunt Lucy. Time away from her job is just what Abigail needs to reassess her life. The slow pace has her breathing deeply for the first time in years. And the majestic scenery encourages her to get reacquainted with herself... and God. What she didn't count on was the handsome widowed cowboy who owns the ranch where her aunt lives. When the rancher loses his daughter's nanny, Abigail decides to lend a hand for the summer. Wade Ryan can't help being attracted to Abigail. But he's given up everything to protect his daughter, and he's not about to risk it all on a pretty face. 2. A Different Kind of Man Emalea LeBlanc is a different kind of woman. Nicknamed "Doc" by the locals, she's a psychologist, a member of the volunteer search and rescue team and an avid motorcycle enthusiast. But she's haunted by memories of an abusive father and relationships with men who haven't been much better. What she needs is a different kind of man. Someone she can trust. Someone who won't hurt her. Jackson Cooper is the new investigator in Cypress Landing, and Emalea believes she knows his type – big, strong, overbearing. Dangerous. But Jackson has a tragic past of his own. And he's not exactly the kind of man he appears to be…. 3. A Forever Kind of Cowboy She wasn't the kind of woman who would spend the night with a stranger, yet runaway bride Lori Ashford shared one night and so much more with sexy Cord McVane. The innocent beauty had only come to Cord's isolated cabin seeking shelter, but when her rugged protector showed her a passion like no other, she was lost. For Lori had long dreamed of sharing her heart with a strong, honorable man – a man like Cord. And now that she was carrying his child, she hoped this brooding loner could forget his painful past and be her forever man. 4. A Little Christmas Romance There's no such thing as second chances, and Brooke would know. This Christmas will be spent alone and uncelebrated, same as the last. It doesn't matter that she's a disgruntled mall elf, standing next to a chimney-scented Santa with the most annoying co-worker ever. It doesn't make Christmas more magical. It's just another day to endure, and the holiday can't pass fast enough. That is, until her old flame, Chris, spots her. After taking a picture with Brooke in her elf costume, things take an unexpected turn. Maybe getting through the night won't be so difficult after all. 5. A Voice in the Dark No one knew what Noah Graydon looked like, but they'd all heard the rumors. How he'd been broken, even scarred, on his last case. How he never showed his face…until the day he took an overwhelming interest in one very special agent. Angel Carter would have been a serial killer's next victim if not for Noah. The rescue gave her a glimpse into his world of shadows – yet she dared to want more. To really know if the passion between them was real. They would have to come face-to-face if the killer was to be caught – and Noah could only conceal his body from Angel for so long... 6. Abby and the Bachelor Cop Bride-to-be Abigail Callahan has her life mapped out. Good career, wealthy fiancé – it's perfect... too perfect. Then sexy bad-boy-turned-cop Raff Finn reenters Abby's life, landing her with an adorable homeless dog called Kleppy and a whole lot of trouble... Raff's teenage recklessness once broke them apart, but he's not about to let his childhood sweetheart marry the wrong guy. With help from Kleppy and some Banksia Bay magic, Raff plans to reawaken the Abby he's always loved. 7. After Dark When a shocking scandal exposes southern secrets... As the blazing heat of summer gives way to sultry September, a shroud of suspicion settles over Noble's Crossing, a sleepy Alabama town. Nothing is as it seems--and never will be again. Lane Noble Graham stands accused of murdering her ex-husband. And the one man who can help, Johnny Mack Cahill, vowed never to return to the town that scorned him--or the woman whose love he knew he didn't deserve. ...No one is safe from cold-blooded murder. From the rusted-out trailers on the wrong side of the river to the stately pillared mansions along Magnolia Avenue, everybody has something to hide--but one secret could make Lane and Johnny Mack the next targets of a twisted killer, who's struck once and is bent on striking again... 8. Alena The wild heart of a warrior beat in the breast of Alena, daughter to a queen and mother to a king. A Celtic princess, she resolved never to bend to Roman rule. But how could she foresee that the iron fist of Rome would stoke her soul with the velvet glove of passion. Marcus Valerius, Prefect of the Seventh Legion, had proven himself many times over in combat. Now newly come to Britannia, he would ensure the peace – despite the wiles of a tall, tawny-haired barbarian goddess with witchcraft in her lips! 9. Bayou Whispers Plagued by nightmares and fractured memories, Laura Larame returns to her childhood home in the Louisiana bayou, where her mother vanished and she almost drowned. She searches for answers with the handsome Creole who saved her once before. A man who holds the dark magic that isn't finished with her yet. Since childhood, Drew Michel has seen death and the spirits who walk the halls of his family’s ancestral home, and they are warning him—Laura will die. Deep in the swamp, an ancient ritualistic clan is planning to claim her life. Can he defeat the evil that demands her blood and save the woman he has grown to love, or will the bayou claim them both in a demon’s ultimate sacrifice? 10. Big Girls Don't Cry Thanks to a devastating revelation about her husband, Reenie Holbrook's once-perfect marriage is over. For eleven years she had the life she wanted--and now it's gone. Reenie decides that the first step in recovering from her ordeal is to find work; after all, she has three young children to support. She's thrilled when she lands a job at Dundee High teaching history--until Isaac Russell, the man who triggered the unraveling of her marriage, accepts a temporary position teaching science. Then she's tempted to quit. Reenie doesn't care if the whole town admires Isaac... and she won't admit that, secretly, she admires him, too. She doesn't want to see him or his sister in "her" town. But a friendship with the most unlikely woman leads to a relationship with the most unlikely man.. 11. Boss Man The permanent temporary... Blake Kemp was a man who knew his own mind and was as stubborn as the day is long in Jacobsville, Texas. As the town's leading lawyer, he had a reputation to uphold, and he didn't want the tender ministrations of his assistant to get in his way -- even if he desperately needed her, since those big boots of his did have a tendency to step on toes... So, of course, the boss man blew up at pretty, gentle Violet, for having the nerve to, of all things, step on his toes, causing her to leave him in a cloud of Texas dust. But being a smart as well as hardheaded man, Blake could soon see that without his guiding light, his life would be in darkness. Only one thing to do -- hire her back and make sure that business didn't mess with matters of the heart...on or off the job! 12. Bound to the Sicilian's Bed Rocco's outrageous proposition: His estranged wife will spend one final weekend in his bed! When Rocco's runaway wife asks for a divorce, the Sicilian billionaire seizes his chance! They've never discussed their painful past, but this is the perfect opportunity to get Nicole out of his system for good. He offers her a deal: if Nicole wants to move on with her life, she will be his one last time! 13. Brothers Without Borders For Avery Grey, life wasn't easy. He was smaller than most guys and nerdy, a real prize winner. And, as if this wasn't enough, he was gay and in love with the one person he knew it was wrong to desire. Rather than deal with the heartbreak, he chose to dedicate himself to medical school. Hunter Grey, the tough guy athlete tried to focus on everything other than the one person who caused the ache inside his heart. For years, he had managed to keep his secret locked up inside him. Although some of his teammates didn't know he was gay, this was the least of his worries. His biggest secret haunted him and had him waking up in the middle of the night soaked to the bone in sweat. The guilt and disgust within him tore him apart each day. When secrets are exposed, how will an unconventional love between brothers change the lives of these two men? Can their bond and love for each other survive and flourish, or will it ultimately rip them apart? 14. But after inadvertently reciting a summoning spell, Angus finds himself thrust into an adventure beyond even his own wildest imaginings. Suddenly, demon-possessed pupils try to kill him. Perpetua is the first creator and the mother of the Over-Monitor, Anti-Monitor and the World Forger. She is the most feared being in the greater Omniverse, out of all her brothers and sisters tending the infinite Multiverses.[1]
History
Early Existence
In the very beginning of existence, there was only The Source and from it, the positive Connective Energy were born and pulled together by an unseen hand.[2] It was throughout the void of the Greater Omniverse that The Source sent "The Hands", a group of super-celestial beings using the Connective Energy to birth Multiverses. With the creation of their Multiverse, each member of the Hands would pass on and allow their energies to return to The Source.[2] However the rogue among them refused her fate and wanted a vicious reality meant to live forever in a self-renewing loop of crisis and rebirth.[3] The name of that rogue super-celestial was Perpetua.
20 Billion Years Ago
She created the first iteration of the Multiverse using the negative Crisis Energies and created her three sons Mar Novu, Alpheus and Mobius, as its first inhabitants. Once created, Perpetua explained to them that her Multiverse comprises of three main realms made out of the three basic forms of matter- dark matter, positive matter and antimatter, and created them to monitor these realms. She assigned Alpheus to the dark matter realm beneath creation where he would build the myriad universes of creation. Mar Novu was assigned to the positive matter realm, where he would guard the many universes that rose out of the dark from cosmic crises. Mobius was assigned to the antimatter realm where he would prevent the light of creation to breach the Greater Omniverse. Curious, Mar Novu asked Perpetua what her purpose in this Multiverse was, as her role as creator had already been fulfilled. She told him that she would remain to make sure that all of her children lived.[4]
15 Billion Years Ago
Perpetua called upon Mar Novu to show him her greatest creation. Perpetua had searched the endless worlds of the multiverse looking for the perfect creation, but could not find it. Disappointed in what saw, Perpetua bound the Martians with the Humans, creating the Apex Predator; perfect killing machines that would live and fight until the end of time. Upon seeing what his mother had created, Mar Novu told her that he found a cosmic judgement coming for them because of her actions and that she was well aware of that and wished to fight back. Perpetua then tried to share her point of view in vain, leading her to order her Apexes to attack Novu, forcing him to flee.[4] Two hundred years later, Mar Novu told his brothers what he had seen and they agreed that her superiors, the Judges of the Source needed to be alerted of her doings. They were interrupted by Perpetua who witnessed their betrayals and sent her Apex Predators to attack her sons. As the battle raged on, the Judges sent out the Cosmic Raptor to stop Perpetua's plan. Unable to defeat the Cosmic Raptor, Perpetua, her Apex Predators and the totality of her power were taken to the Source Wall and imprisoned in it. The Judges recreated Perpetua's Multiverse, allowing the Multiverse to evolve without intrusion. Perpetua was trapped and forced to watch it all.
Perpetua witnessed the tampering of the Maltusian Krona preventing her Multiverse to set in a stable form. She was forced to watch her Multiverse grow more and more unstable. She knew its final fate: it would die, and she would die with it. She needed to free herself and restore her Multiverse to what it was before. As the only thing that would break her prison was an action that would crack the very foundation of reality, a Crisis. Perpetua began to whisper in the mind of her son, the Anti-Monitor, instigating him to cause the first Crisis. After the Anti-Monitor's defeat, a crack formed on the Source Wall and so, Perpetua whispered out through the Multiverse, into the ears of those powerful enough to cause Crises over the years.[2]
Source Wall Breaking
After the invasion of the Dark Multiverse by her last scion, Barbatos and the Batman Who Laughs, the Source Wall was finally broken and Perpetua was freed from her prison, the Totality which landed on Earth-0 after the wall breaking.[5] Her corporeal form was restored by Lex Luthor with almost six parts of her dark powers unlocked.[1]
Year of the Villain
At some point, she awoke and remade Lex Luthor into an Apex Predator as her second in command after the latter faked his own death.
Justice/Doom War
While the Justice League divided into two them, one for the Totality's shards which were across time and the other for recruiting Mobius, Perpetua and Lex were heading to the Promethean Galaxy with the intent to recruit her son Mobius. Meanwhile, Hypertime was within the grasp of Perpetua, allowing the Legion of Doom, who were in different timelines, to affect them as they see fit without erasing their present.[6] Arrived in the Promethean Galaxy, she was confronted by Mobius and his brothers alongside the Justice League. During the fight, the three brothers merged together to form the Ultra-Monitor, strong enough to fight their mother.[7] At the end of the battle, Starman and his analog from the past and future were going to open a portal to bring the rest of the Justice League who gathered the shards of the Totality across the past and the future. However, due to the fact that the psychic energy shifted toward doom and Hawkgirl's vendetta against Lex Luthor who previously absorbed J'onn J'onzz within himself, the portal closed before the rest of the league could join the battle and Perpetua was restored to all her might. She then granted the Anti-Life Equation to Mobius who betrayed his brothers.[8] Perpetua then crush Starman on her fist and and exclaimed that she have the entire Multiverse to remade.[8]
Perpetua came to Earth 19, noticing that this world has doom in its core but its people still chose justice thus, she destroyed this universe for this. She then returned to the Promethean Galaxy explaining her plan to Lex and Mobius and remade every human who believes in doom into Apex Predators. She was alerted by Lex that Hawkgirl was trying to flee with her newfound abilities, she was able to see her and turn off Hawkgirl's ship making it crash somewhere else.[9] At some point after the return of the Legion of Doom, she turned Brainiac into her throne and the other members as conduits of power for Lex now wielding the The Seven Forces of the Universe.[10] Later, she came to Earth 44 and throw it toward her sons who were recently freed from their brother Mobius thanks to John Stewart's intervention but they managed to flee before the impact thanks to Alpheus' sacrifice. Much later, Perpetua came to Earth-0 to confront the Justice League who had defeated Lex Luthor and gathered Hawkgirl, John Stewart and J'onn J'onzz. During the confrontation, J'onn managed to reach out the minds of all the people of the planet, trying to convince them to break free of Perpetua's lies which shifted the psychic balance toawrd justice, strings of energy started to wrap up Perpetua. However, just as the victory was near for the league, the balance shifted for doom again, breaking free of her bonds, Perpetua explained that she allowed the psychic connection J'onn had with Earth's people to happen because she wanted them to see their people rejecting them since she was the creator of the Multiverse and also explained that she left a piece of the Totality across time for Vandal Savage who will recruit the Luthors to found a way to unlock her powers as she planned. She then obliterated the Justice League however without her knowing, the league were saved by the Quintessence.[11]
Hell Arisen
After the fall of the Justice League at Perpetua's hands, the Multiverse was at her and Lex Luthor mercy. When the Crime Syndicate of Earth-3 came to Perpetua, requesting more power, Perpetua's response was to turn their people into Apex Predator and killing Johnny Quick after his disagreement to join her. After the meeting Perpetua had with the Crime Syndicate, she send Lex Luthor to Earth-0 in order to eradicate the dark energy incursion caused by the The Batman Who Laughs. Much later Lex came to Perpetua with the defeated Batman Who Laughs. However, The Batman Who Laughs used his superior knowledge to convince Perpetua to choose him over Lex as her second in charge. Perpetua then stripped Lex Luthor of his powers and she then send him back to Earth but not before Lex learns that the glorious vision of the future he has had was an hoax made by Perpetua in order to manipulate him.[12]
Dark Nights: Death Metal
Perpetua was confronted by the Justice League at an unspecified date. She was wielding all the Crisis Energy and the league wielded all the Connective Energy. Their fight ended on a massive blow that burned the sun and has exhausted both forces. The Batman Who Laughs provided her three worlds where the greatest Crises happen forever in the Dark Multiverse so that she draws her energy from them, through multiple antennas around the Multiverse. Later, Perpetua who sensed a disturbance after The Batman Who Laughs transferred his brain to Batmanhattan's body came to him, telling him that only six universes remains, she also warns him about the retconning that her kind, The Hands, will bring if they find out her doings before leaving the evil Bruce

Inhumans Versus X-Men #2 Review
spoilers spoilers spoilers spoilers spoilers spoilers spoilers spoilers spoilers
It’s the second installment of the mega event cross-over from the creative team of Charles Soule, Jeff Lemire, Gerry Alanguilan, Leinil Yu, and David Curiel, with a bevy of covers by David Curiel, Leinil Yu, Michael Cho, and Terry Dodson.  Full recap and review following the jump.
The Terrigen Cloud has been found as deadly poisonous to the Mutants and The Beast’s discovery suggests that in short time the cloud will bind with the atmosphere and make the earth uninhabitable to the entire Mutant race.  The previous issue showed the X-Men taking matters into the own hands, breaking the tentative truce with New Attilan and launching a series of preemptive strikes against the most powerful of The Inhumans.  With Black Bolt incapacitated, Karnak trapped, and the entire RIV destroyed by Magneto, Medusa is left with depleted forces to protect New Attilan and fend off a full scale siege of one of the largest collection of X-Men ever assembled.
Tumblr media
With the X-Men at the gates, Medusa quickly issues her orders.  The children, elderly and all other noncombatants are rushed to shelters in the bowls of the city, soldiers are sent to the front line.  The young Inhumans, Iso and Inferno are tasked with escaping so that she may somehow find and rally the other Inhumans yet to be accounted for.  Johnny Storm requests that he be allowed to go out and attempt to broker a peace, but Medusa doesn’t allow it.  The X-Men have come for war and nothing is going to dissuade them.  Nor does Medusa want Johnny at her side.  She can take care of herself and there are sure to be others who are more needed of his aide.  Medusa dons a formidable-looking battle suit, with various axe-like weapons laced into her  flowing hair.  She knows that the odds are stacked tall against her people, but she is refusing to go down without a fight.  It’s totally bad-ass…
Tumblr media
The X-Men breach the gates and a tremendous battle ensues.  The X-Men have little difficulty with he rank and file of New Attilan’s populace.  They tear through the city’s defenses, leaving frightened citizens running for their lives.  War seems ill suited to The X-Men’s leader, Storm.  She isn’t pulling any punches yet comes across as remorseful that it is has all come to this.  She issues orders to the others to be sure not to injury any of the civilians.
Tumblr media
While the unnamed Inhumans don’t put up much of a fight, Nur, Flint and Naja more than hold their own.  And this is when Storm issues the execution of ‘phase two.’  This phase two involves Magik entering into the fray, grabbing each of the Inhuman heavy hitters and teleporting them each into Limbo.  One just page Magik is able to dispatch the majority of the Inhuman forces.  It’s rather impressive and one gets the sense Illyana might have been able to successfully conduct this siege all on her own.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, the younger Beast has made his way deeper into he city, to his older self’s laboratory.  He there to rifle through the older Beast’s findings and ascertain some means of destroying the second and final Terrigen Cloud.  Medusa finds him there and is incensed.  Grasping onto his leg with her prehensile hair, Medusa smashes McCoy about the lab, bellowing claims of treachery.  McCoy responds that they had no choice, but Medusa is in no shape to hear it.   The Inhumans, she proclaims, had dedicated themselves to working with The X-Men and this favor was returned with betrayal.
Tumblr media
McCoy is saved when Nightcrawler teleports into the lab, grabs Medusa and teleports away… no doubt delivering her to Magik so to be dispatched to Limbo.
Elsewhere, Iso and Inferno flee through the mayhem searching for a means to escape.  They make it to the flight deck where there are still a few sky sleds left undamaged.  Unfortunately, to get to them involves going through Sabertooth.
Tumblr media
Just then, Johnny Storm blazes in and engages Sabertooth.  Johnny sacrifice buys the time needed for Iso and Inferno to take off to the skies.  Iso has formulated a clear idea where they need to go, it’s just a matter of getting there in time.
Tumblr media
Storm is made aware of the two young Inhumans escape and she send Angel and Wolverine to intercept them.  The sky sled has nowhere near the speed to outrun Angel and Inferno does his best to shoot fireboats at their gaining pursuers.  It’s to no avail.  Angle tosses Wolverine at the sled and she uses her claws to carve through it, bifurcating the sled in two in mid air.
Tumblr media
Iso uses her vacuum powers to cushion their descent.  They’ve actually made it to where she was hoping to arrive.  Inferno is still confused, what could Iso possibly be looking for on the beach-coast of the New Jersey shore.  The answer is made evident when Iso uses her power to unearth the sand covering the enormous face of Eldrac The Door.
Tumblr media
Eldrac has remained here ever since the final issue of Inhuman where he apparently committed suicide while gazing out across the bay.  Yet Eldrac is not dead, only in a sleep-like stasis.  Edlrac’s teleporting powers can take anyone where ‘they need to go’ and Iso pleads with him to wake up and help them escape.   Wolverine catches up with the two and lunges forward with what is sure to be a killing blow.  Just then, Eldrac comes to life, blue energies exude from his mouth and teleports Iso and Inferno to places unknown.
Tumblr media
It remains unclear exactly where the two have been transported.  Possibly the Savage Land or perhaps some other tropical zone.  Awaiting them there is Old Man Logan, claws already unsheathed.
As quixotic as Eldrac can be, there is sure to be a reason why he has transported the two there.  My guess is that the machine Logan is standing in front of is some form of device meant to neutralize and destroy the Terrigen Cloud.
Tumblr media
And it is here where this breathtaking issue ends.
Seeing my beloved Inhuman so entirely routed is a very tough thing, yet I find some lukewarm comfort in the fact that the issue is so brilliantly done, with breakneck action and absolutely stellar art.  Plus it’s kind of nice seeing The X-Men firing on all cylinders once again.   Emma plan to divide and conquer and Storm’s execution of the final siege went off like clockwork and there is sure tobsome very happy X-Men fans crowing about on the message forums…   As for The Inhumans, things are not looking too good…  a solemn scene shows them looking dejected and forlorn atop a spire in the gloomy backdrop of Limbo.
Tumblr media
The big mystery the reader is left with is what is going on with Logan and that big ol’ machine in the jungle setting.  We know from Marvel’s twitter teasers that Logan will be fighting Inferno and Iso will do battle with Forge... so it’s a good bet Forge is there as well.  Forge is likely working on and calibrating the machine so to take out the cloud.  The next issue is certain to show a throw-down between these four with the fate of their respective people in the balance.  Can’t wait to read it!
Tumblr media
The artwork by Gerry Alanguilan and Leinil Yu with David Curiel on colors is just top notch across the board.  It truly excels in hammering home the epic feeling of the conflict.  The opening scenes of Medusa and the others hurrying about in preparation for The X-Men’s attack just crackled with tense, anticipatory energy.  And the battle itself was like a crashing wave of punching, lasers and lightning It has seemed as though Marvel has been trying for a while now to get The Inhumans to capture that Lord of The Rings/Game of Thrones feelings…  This issue in particular succeeds in achieving the goal.  The battle sort of reminds me of the siege of the Fortress of Hornburg from Tolkien’s ‘The Two Towers.’  It’s an exceptionally fun read.
The chase scene at the end is also a very cool bit.  The panel of Wolverine severing through the sky-sled was particularly wild.  And it was very neat that Soule and Lemire chose to bring Eldrac back into the fold.  Readers unfamiliar with Soule, Stegmen, et al.’s prior run on Inhuman may have felt a bit confused as to who this Eldrac is.  Yet the dialogue offers adequate exposition and his showing back up is a very much appreciated wink to us longtime Inhumans fans out there.
Tumblr media
My only complaint would be that ‘phase two’ worked a bit too well.  Having Magik transport each Inhuman to Limbo is a cool idea but kind of made it all look too easy.  I would have liked to have seen the fights between Psylocke and Nur, Cyclops and Flint, and Iceman and Naja go on a little longer before Magik interceded.  Then again, I’d also like the issue to be twenty pages longer, so I’m aware my complaint may be a bit unreasonable.
Again I hated seeing my Inhumans so defeated, but I know it is merely a battle and not the war.  And I cannot deny that it’s a tremendously well done comic with fantastic art and a very cool story.  This is an event book done right!  Strongly recommended! Four and a half out of Five Lockjaws!
