There have been tales throughout time of it, in many forms and in many places. Some would even argue that it’s about different things, mere coincidence lest legends be really true. Of beasts and guardians and creatures of great destruction all wrapped in one. 

Some tales have long since been forgotten, left to dreams and dust  until they were merely stories. Insatiable monsters trapped in legends told at night, and guardian spirits lost to the sounds of day. The being whose body formed the land they stood upon, whose blood powered everything around them as they turned their prayer to false gods that would not save them. 

They abandoned their dead and ways of old, turning towards false light and fear of shadows growing. They pray to false idols while damning those who warn them in the same breath, denial dancing on their tongues while they know the truth all the same. 

Their pride and hubris dances amidst their veins, fear an alien feeling as they ignored the warning signs, so certain in their own power and creations. 

And yet, the rocks still shift, something great, something Ancient awakening. Metal collapses with dying screams, great swaths of earth crumbling as it shifts, scales that had not seen sun for uncountable eons revealed as the land devoured itself. 

The ground opens in wounds of green, revealing what had once been sleeping, as large as the world itself. Death giving way to life in a cocoon, an egg, the lives of many given to give birth to one entity, a being caught between, given life amidst the stars.

I saw the message about the Ribbon Seal Y/N and just wanted to propose this; since Ribbon Seals are carnivorous but relatively small (only like 5 to 6 feet long) imagine being a fiesty seal reader growling and baring your teeth in an attempt to intimidate Orca!Eclipse but it just. totally backfires. Those teeth are so small and cute, just like the furry seal body; Eclipse is getting cuteness aggression. The more posturing you do the more he's smitten with this tiny-but-mighty sweetheart to be. I made a skull/size between the species for comparison!

I'm just gonna post it before my perfectionism gets the best of me!! But them in Jayce's mindscape to help him when he gets in a Dread induced coma towards the end of my AU story was something I had wanted to do for ages now! Glad it looks mostly how I was actually picturing in my head for once tho. Shocker!

Kept being unsure on the colors but didn't want it TOO drowned out from the purple. Green is his normal magic color as just Jayce and not the Dread magic, so I wondered about working some in and managed to make it work a bit I think. Showing that there still is some of his consciousness left in there that the Dread is defensively trying to blockade.

Kind of a random thing to point out, but I love your usage of a soft yellow as the background for ooc drawings/sketches as opposed to gray or transparent. Its something I've never really seen before but it makes your posts very pleasing to look at!!

i think they should make a line of sonic figures that are meant to be played with in a similar way as fashion dolls. like theyre just the normal sonic figures but bigger and they come with gay little outfits and accessories that you can dress them up in and any clothes that they already had as part of their default design are removable. also certain body parts can easily pop off to make it easier to dress them. also theyd have fun little themed lines and fashion packs like actual dolls do. sega hire me right now

#maybe not the exact same size as traditional fashion dolls since sonic characters have different anatomy from more humanoid characters #but definitely make them at least a little bigger than the regular sonic toys

very much not! I think I've said previously that the species aren't considered "juveniles" from around 18 months old, on average - they're not Adults at that point, but that's when they tend to be able to live independently and make their own choices (sort of like 18 year old humans - they're still pretty young, but they're not children any more). I haven't fully thought out a lifespan for them, but I imagine they don't live quite as long as humans on average, and their developmental period accounts for a much smaller proportion of their lifespan.
