Hello!! I followed you for your absolutely amazing Twisted Wonderland comics (thank you for making them, by the way-) but I saw you posting about something called Ride Kamens? I haven’t heard of it before, what’s it about? Or if that’s a bit much to ask, where could I find more info about it? It seems right up my alley 👀

Ride Kamens is still doing prerelease marketing and isn't out yet; it's set for "early summer 2024", so a bit yet to go! similar to Twst, it's a mobile game about anime boys loosely based on an existing franchise (Kamen Rider), although it seems like it's going to be more standalone/won't require familiarity with Rider going in.

the (very) basic premise is that your player character has just taken over their late father's role as a secret agent, supporting the city's superheroes by running a secret base disguised as a cafe (plus you have a personal butler for some reason) (the reason is because it's amazing). you also have to help the heroes regain their lost memories, and it looks like it'll have a bit of a route/choice aspect there (not romance, just different endings to the character episodes depending on what you do). the details are kinda hard to tell at this point but the characters seem like a really fun bunch; there's definitely big "idiots with emotional problems" energy which I am extremely into.

all the official info is in Japanese only at the moment, but here's the website and the ride_kamens twitter! (though the twitter is sort of overtaken by posts about the AnimeJapan exhibit right now, whoops.) and I believe some people are already planning on doing translations for it too? lots to look forward to! :D

what if the gang went on a forbidden cities field trip but instead of walking by foot normally or hailing a taxi or two or something they just. took some cardboard boxes and cut them out to vaguely resemble cars and then walked around with those on their heads. like they walk down the streets of new york with car boxes on their heads and half of them are making goofy sound effects and stuff. (bonus points if they just head to mcdonald’s purely to go through the drive thru in cardboard box cars.)

Danse: (Folds his arms) “It taught him gravity. Which he defined using mathematics.” (Turns next to the only other actual student) “Jasmine?”

Jasmine: “Yeah?”

Danse: “If you have ten cookies and someone takes away half, what will they have?”

Jasmine: (Makes a limp hand motion) “A broken hand.”

Danse: “No!”

Jasmine: (Takes out a knife) “They will if they try to take my cookies!”

Danse: (Rubs his head) “They aren’t trying to take your cookies.”

Jasmine: (Puts her hands on her hips) “Well that’s what you said.”

Danse: (Heavy sigh) “That’s not what I-… Oh just forget it.”

Jasmine: (Puts down her knife) “Alright.”

Danse: (Rubs his chin, flipping through the books) “Now, where was I?”

Jasmine: (Shrugs) “I don’t know, you told me to forget.”

in 5th grade my class went on this field trip to like an industrial type place in our town where they made like road signs, stoplights etc and there was a bunch of different city construction equipment and it was really cool but i cant REMEMBER where it was and i have found no proof of this location ever existing. i asked my sister who is two years younger than me and she doesn't remember ever going on a field trip like that. and i dont talk to any of my classmates who went with me that day anymore so i cant ask them??? like this is genuinely my white whale. Where was that field trip. why did they stop doing that trip after our year (or maybe it was a one-time thing my class just happened to be allowed to do) there were definitely other schools there as well

it's funny bc nj is the most densely populated state, but that's bc our cities are insanely populated, like the area where i live is just straight up farmland

#personal #i grew up around atlantic city so while not nearly as urban as north jersey #it was still mostly suburbs #i only saw farms on field trips to like cornfields and pumpkin patches in the fall #or for blueberries in hammonton #then i moved to williamstown and i actually lived next to farms and it was just fascinating to me lol #where i lived in fl was also very densely populated while simultaneously being next to rural farmland #central fl is just fields full of cows and oranges

Girl fucking help my exhibit opening presentation etc is on Wednesday and Thursday and it’s Sunday and I’m coming down with a cold and feeling very shitty like this needs to be Crunch Time Girlboss hours and I literally could not get my brain to process deciding on poster measurements and gave up.
