Gaming Pal Prompt
A/N: Random Idea that was stuck in my head after reading about a Pen Pal Prompt
It all started with a simple accidentally created open lobby. Sam, Tucker and Danny were just playing Doom in a four person Lobby that was supposed to be passcode locked and private so that it was only the three of them playing. But one of them must have forgotten to lock it as suddenly a random player joined them as well as the in-game voice chat they were using.
"Sup. Mind if I join the game? My last lobby kicked me."
"Why? Too good or too bad?"
Tucker shot back, not minding the new player. The three would just have to watch what they talk about during game time.
"Don't know. I think they thought I cheated."
"Pff, sore losers. Maybe you can help these losers kick ass."
"Oh shut it Sam, we will wipe the floor with you now!"
"A challenge huh? That sounds interesting. I am Tim by the way."
"Sam."
"Tucker."
"Danny."
The friend request was sent after the game in which Tim did help Tucker and Danny beat Sam. Only for Sam to demand a rematch to regain her victory streak. From then on the random player regularity started joining in on their games whenever he happened to be online at the same time.
Of course the trio filtered their talks over voice chat. Making sure they wouldn't let anything atrocious slip. Though they did have some fun telling a non Amity Parker about the shit that goes down in their town and Tim always appeared interested to hear more about the things going on. Always curious and full of follow up questions, that strangely focus on who the attackers were ( always ghosts really they don't have any other rogues aside from maybe the fruitloop) and other times very much focused on their local ghost hero Phantom. He was also strangely interested in the whole GIW situation and sounded rather confused when they mentioned the Anti-Ecto Acts.
Aside from that Tim practically became a part of their little group. Their online Gamer Pal who knew nearly as much about their rogues and local Hero (thanks to all the questions he asked) like they did. A full fledged Team Phantom member who just didn't know the main secret of Danny actually doing the Ghost fighting as Phantom and being the one getting hunted by his own Parents and the GIW.
So of course the day came where Sam, Tucker and Danny forget to filter their words. It was during one particularly exhausting day when Danny had only had like 4 hours of sleep because he had studied all night for an English Test and then Skulker appeared to hunt Phantom and Danny's parents showed up too, making souping the Hunter Ghost especially difficult.
"Ancients, Skulker just had to decide on hunting you today, didn't he Danny?"
"Don't remind me. He is still souped in the thermos, but dodging Mom was harder with so little sleep."
"Should you like take a nap then man?"
"Nah I am fine for gaming night."
"Hey Danny, you did escape the blasters unscratched right? Your mom is the better shot after all."
"Nearly. Mom landed a couple of hits but it's almost healed already, just some small burn marks left."
"I am sorry, WHAT?! Did you guys just say that Skulker, the one that's hunting Phantom for sports, was hunting Danny. Danny was the one to Soup him not Phantom and Danny's Mom shot and hurt her own son with one of these ecto-blasters?!"

Your character analysis of Layton is so in-depth
I love it so much!
Ahhh thank you so much!! I love Layton as a character so much and I wanted to do a deep analysis of his character for such a long time. I’m glad you enjoyed reading it!! 💚
Ahh there’s so much to his character that’s so interesting to talk about! I could have added more like how his gentlemanly persona affected his relationship with Flora and how he always seemed to keep Emmy at arms length despite their growing friendship because he doesn’t want to risk losing anyone else in his life (as if he at a subconscious level feels like if he tries to have close relationships then that will cause others to get hurt).
He’s just been through so much and needs some tea. Or therapy. Definitely both.

I think my career as an RN in the middle of the worst of C19 on a med/surg unit plus now working a vascular/thoracic PCU/ICU has desensitized me to so much weird and traumatizing shit

aCTUALLY lemme get the whole foley fam in, ANGELA.
whoops you get these in reverse order
One aspect I love - this is mostly based off of fanon but I honestly love that she (and Maurice too tbh) is the most NormalTM of the trio's parents. These children need some NormalTM adult figures in their lives and Angela is that NormalTM
One aspect I wish more people understood - AGAIN I'M PRETTY SURE THIS IS FANON BUT Angela is a nurse, AND CANONICALLY she's a homemaker so really between nursing and being an awesome cook she's out there girlbossing it up and I lover her for it
One (or more) headcanon(s) I have - After learning Danny's secret and what her son's been up to, she is incredibly proud of all three of them for being noble enough to do such a thing, but she also develops panic disorder because she gets so worried about them. She tries to cope by offering to help Danny patch up at the hospital whenever he needs, under the radar, but she wonders if it just makes it worse
One character I love seeing them interact with - hey here's a crime, why don't we have more canon Angela content ANYWAY I will always be a sucker for Angela being basically like a Second Mom to Danny, and I love when I get to read fics where they interact. Tucker and Danny truly are brothers, and she loves him just like she loves Tucker.
One character I wish they would interact with more - I would loooove to see Angela and Maurice interacting more, I feel like they would be so Stereotypical that it would seem fake but like they genuinely don't notice and it just works so well for them
One (or more) headcanon(s) I have that involve them and one other character - Angela plays DND with Tucker. That's it that's the headcanon.
~ Send me a character and I'll share these thoughts about them!

Propaganda
Clawdeen and Tucker:
Family! Cousins! spookberry here on tumblr has a crossover au where Tucker and Clawdeen are cousins and it's a cute little dynamic and honestly just a cute little comic and crossover over all! I like how Clawdeen has some older sibling energy and looks out for Tucker but also totally teases him too. Tucker is a fish out of water going to a school for monsters for the first time but his fam has his back!
Team Red White and Blue:
No propaganda submitted. Admittedly I forgot to ask about any so that's on me :/ Sorry

Half awake Parental Black Noir rambling/headcanons don’t mind me
I can’t write a proper storyline to save my life so-
-While on Patrol, he stumbled upon a home robbery going wrong, he managed to subdue the perpetrators but most of the residents are dead, only a baby survived, he took care of them while waiting for the police or Vought agents to deal with the mess. But the more he waited, the more he got attacked to this child
-He’ll try to hide them from Vought but, eventually Edgar will notice how distracted Noir is being (homelander might have also ratting him out or the camera on his chest recorded everything)
-Earving will have moments of stress, because babies are hard sometimes, but Buster and his Pals are here to help/guide him
-Edgar will eventually take the child from away him while he’s in patrol, big mistake
-Noir almost got out of control and almost hurt Ashley to get info on the kid’s whereabouts
-Edgar probably sent the child to a foster family (or maybe sent the baby to some v testing before sending them to the foster fam, your choice), Which Noir almost turn into a Lagos Cafe incident ( it’s waaaay before Starlight joined the 7 tho but yeah he was angry) if they didn’t give him his kid
-Edgar learned the child might be a new way of Controlling Noir and ends up having a compromise
-In the end, Earving got to officially adopt the baby, naming them Axel (no matter the gender, just a little throw back on how he dreamed to play Axel Foley ) And Vought even provided a safe house with a fake parent/long term baby sitter for public activities while he works
I might have some “growing up with Noir” headcanons but that’s the general thought/main story line I had while sleeping, thanks for joining my Ted talk

Am a huge fan of Inn Between. Great concept, well written and executed with a great cast. I have actually just started a relisten and it's even comfier than I remembered. Sadly I am still working out where best to put the season logos (you know how it is with stickers).
Do you have any audio drama suggestions for a listener who likes creativity and interesting world-building? I like all kinds of horror, scifi, fantasy, supernatural and things in between (or in combination with other genres not mentioned) but I will listen to almost anything. Both popular or obscure shows are okay (I've heard the really big names, but the rest vary a lot in listener count), I enjoy both wholesome and brutal, and I don't mind much what the audio quality is like. Not fussy about format, pure narration and pure cast acting are both great (and so many people do a mix of the two so well) though sfx are a celebrated bonus to either, and I especially enjoy what people seem to ick about, blood/gore and kiss sounds and angry radio static and other weird and messy noises... All very fun.
Much appreciated, and I hope you are doing well. I hope as well I have not been too vague or specific or both. All my best, and yours incredibly sleepily, 🐛
Thank you for your kind words!! I do know how it is with stickers. Let me tell you, it helps having a bunch of them in your house at all times.
I love the specificity of this ask!! I got six shows for you to try—
Life With Althaar is a scifi found family sitcom turned drama, which is honestly one of my favorite kinds of storyline development. I am obsessed with every character. They are each my blorbo. The sound design of this one is really cool too—you have to listen in stereo because sometimes there are concurrent conversations. The worldbuilding is incredible, and strikes a balance that a lot of far-future scifi misses, how it’s familiar. But not too familiar. But not too not fam
Incarnation Read is a very little known single-narrator horror podcast, written and produced exclusively by one guy. And let me tell you, this guy is a sfx GENIUS. His editing and foley rules. I’m not much of a horror fan, but I listen for his talent.
What’s the Frequency is one I haven’t actually listened to, (it’s next on my list! i have to finish Station Blue!) but it has notoriously interesting sound design. It’s PSYCHEDELIC NOIR. You can’t beat that.
Speaking of the psychedelic, The Great Chameleon War slaps in a major way. It has a similar cadence and style to night vale? But it is WAY weirder.
Omen is another one with that flawless sound design, a rollicking fantasy-adventure. It’s a swashbuckling mystery and i am in love with it. Although they did just kill off my favorite boy, so obviously they will face my wrath, but it is excellent.
And but not least, if you like creative concepts you will enjoy Someone Dies In This Elevator, a spoiler-driven anthology series. Every episode is different, but they have one important thing in common. I bet you can guess what it is.
Enjoy! I’d love to hear what you think!

New York City: Queer Liberation March for Trans and BIPOC Lives, Reproductive Justice, and Bodily Autonomy
Sunday, June 26 - 1:00 p.m.
Gather at Foley Square, march to Washington Square Park
Event by Reclaim Pride Coalition
Today, we march. We march for all genders’ access to safe, legal, free abortions. We march building on the comprehensive, intersectional, and anti-racist framework of #reproductivejustice. We march because yesterday’s SCOTUS decision was a devastating violation of bodily autonomy. We march because Clarence Thomas wants to come after birth control, marriage, and our right to fuck. We march because trans and intersex kids’ bodily autonomy and safety are threatened. We march because our BIPOC fam and our transgender siblings are under constant threat. We march because we’re here, we’re queer, and we’re fucking furious.

To light a candle is to cast a shadow
Dannymay Day 9: Candlelight
________________________
TW: Major Character Death
Danny had never been to a funeral before. Never in a million years would he have imagined this one would be his first. He was surrounded by his classmates and teachers and friends. His parents were sniffling quietly off to the while Jazz was a little more open with her grief. He felt so much, like he was a balloon ready to burst that he’d circled back to numbness. All he could do was stare at the gentle flickers of the candles people were holding. And like a candle, Danny was acutely aware of how quickly a life could be snuffed out.
“Danny, pay attention, it’s rude to space out at a place like this,” Tucker whispered in his ear. Danny squeezed his eyes shut at the sound of his best friend’s voice.
“Sorry, I,” he whispered back, “this is harder than I thought it’d be.” Sam looked over her shoulder at them. She looked worse than he’d ever her, greasy hair pulled back in a low tail, eyes sallow and not a trace of gothic makeup. It would have smudged with the tears anyway. She was wearing black as always but this time out of grim necessity. If it was hard for him he can only imagine how she was feeling right now.
“Poor Sam,” Tucker huffed. “We should go stand by her, let her know she’s not alone.”
“Yeah just, let’s give it a minute,” Danny said quietly back. “This has been a lot, how are you feeling, Tuck?”
“Oh you know,” Tucker chuckled, moving around to Danny’s other side. “Larger than life.” Danny bit his lip and looked down at the candle held in his shaking hands. He could see ice creeping up the sides, it would go out entirely if he didn’t keep it under control. He’d already let one light go out due to his negligence.
“Not now,” was all Danny could say. He kept his eyes low so he didn’t have to confront his friend’s green skin and glowing red eyes.
“Oh so only the half ghost can make dead jokes?” Tucker said with an audible eyeroll. He floated back around to Danny’s front but he could still see through the ghost to Mr. Lancer giving a weeping statement. “Come on, lighten up. It’s my party and I’ll cry if I want to.”
“Tuck please,” Danny pleaded, a sad keening sound that sounded pathetic to his ears. He saw Star turn to look at him and offer a sad, sympathetic smile before turning back to the speech. “Please, just, can this wait until after the vigil?”
“You don’t have to be sad, dude, it’s not like I’m really gone,” Tucker chuckled. “It doesn’t even hurt. I mean it did, alot, for a second there but then it was over with. Easy. Just think of it as Team Phantom upgraded one of its members!”
“It’s not the same,” Danny frowned, “it’s not, things aren’t going to be the same.”
“And why not?” Tuck said with an eerie edge to his voice. “Danny is the same as Phantom, why can’t it be the same for me?” He grinned and his teeth had sharp edges. “Don’t tell me you’re jealous of me again? Afraid I’ll have better, cooler powers as a full ghost?”
“Tuck, you’re dead,” Danny stressed quietly, almost choking on the words he never wanted to say. “You were so brave and so stupid and tried to hack into the school’s PA system while Technus was inside and it... electrocuted you to death.”
“Haha yeah, we really are bros in everything, we even died the same way.” Tucker laughed, watching as Sam was discreetly wiping at her eyes. “Whatever happened to Techy? Things got kinda fuzzy there for a while.”
“Technus is gone,” Danny deadpanned. “When I found you, when I smelled that mix of ozone and cooked flesh I sort of lost it.” He’ll never get that god awful smell out of his mind. He remembered it from his own accident and smelling it again, paired with his best friend’s corpse and Technus’s idiotic ranting in his head. The next thing he remembered was Sam screaming over Tucker’s body and his hands covered in ectoplasm. Technus’ ectosignature had been entirely obliterated.
“Oh hardcore, shoulda done the scary eyes when you said it. It would’ve had more of an impact.” Tucker turned to him with his beaming red eyes, so close yet slightly off from his normal looks. “Hey that means there’s an opening for a technology ghost around these parts. I gotta think of a name, someway to combine Tech and Tuck. I’ll think of it, I mean I have the rest of eternity.”
“Are you sure you want to stay?” Danny asked seriously, finally looking his dead friend in the eye. He was a new ghost, barely had an ectosignature and wouldn’t for at least another few months. Danny was the only one here who could see the ghost haunting his own candlelight vigil. A boy, a friend, gone far too soon. “You could move on, find your peace. Haunting Amity Park forever hardly sounds like a dream come true, I’ve only done it a year and I’m sick of it.”
“Peace? I’m 15, Danny. Peace was never an option.” Tucker lounged until his was floating on his back. He passed through Mikey and Kwan both of whom shivered at the contact. He playfully batted at Sam’s ponytail and she stiffened, like she was doing everything to hold back tears. Sam might not be able to see him but she knew Tuck almost as well as Danny did, knew what a prankster he was. Or at least they had known him. Now Danny doesn’t know quite who or what he’s looking at.
“I’ll hang around with you guys until my core’s stronger then I can pick up some of the ghost butt kicking slack. Amity will have two awesome ghostly superheroes. Or at least until you get bored or old or whatever. Then it’ll just be me, Techer.” He made a face, “oh god that’s awful, forget that one.”
Danny almost smiled, despite everything because with Tuck in front of him chatting as usual, he’d almost forgotten. For a second, the smell and the charred, contracted limbs and Mr and Mrs. Foley’s wailing when they heard the news almost seemed like a far away nightmare. Then Tuck floated forward and clapped his hand around  the flame on Danny’s candle, snuffing it out.
“The wax was about to drip onto your hand, you’re welcome, dude,” Tuck preened with his sharpened teeth and glowing aura. “I already got this hero thing down pat.”
“Yeah, thanks,” Danny said wanly. Mrs. Foley got up now and was talking about what a good, considerate son she had. How she was going to miss him every day. Tucker watched her speak with a polite, distant face like she was talking about some character in a story written long ago. He was here, he remembered but there was a palpable disconnect between the Tuck of old and his ghost. Danny wondered how long it would be before his friend was gone entirely, consumed by amnesia and obsession.
“Ugh Danny,” Tuck huffed, crossing his arms petulantly. “Can you cut it out with the waterworks? I’m right here after all.” But he wasn’t, not really. What was in front of him was an echo. Tuck was here but not all of him came along for the ride. The rest, the part that Danny had cherished and relied on for most of his life, was at the morgue ready to be buried in the morning. Closed casket obviously.
Yeah, his friend was still here but death had changed him, like it had changed Danny. And he was going to see a constant reminder of his friend’s death in his face every day until one of them decided to move on. Moments would pass and feel like normal only for him to realize that something vital had been lost. Like a candle casting a shadow, lacking all the warmth and life of the real thing.
