Gamzee gamzee gamzee gamzee... how i can go on about Gamzee.  he knows too much, he was left alone for far too long, far too often.  so many times with Gamzee it seems that he could have stopped himself from doing the things he did by not hiding. stay out of the vents and talk to people, don’t run from people who want to snap you out of your murderfrenzy little clown. but then there’s the fact that that would make things end wrong. and the second he looks into cals eyes he knows that. he knows that on every level what he’s doing is required to get them the good ending and it’s a literal crime he’s not given enough diaouge to make that clear bc i think it’d be so interesting if we got to see him wax ‘poetic’ about how he needs to be doing what he’s doing weather it seems counterproductive or not.  because that’s what brings them to the end, and that’s what get’s them earth c. the fridge, i want to cry about the fridge.  Gamzee was shoved in there and bound to be thrown into the sea at the end of homestuck and when vriska mentioned those were her intentions i kept waiting for someone to object, for literally anyone to say something like ‘uhhh... that sounds a bit harsh...’ like the alpha kids had no idea who he was and were just like ‘mhm chuck that guy in the ocean sure no more questions’ Karkat was the bitter ex so he kinda gets a pass i guess kanaya never liked him so sure, but like... no one said anything, think about that.  the people he once called friends, that he’d known his whole wrigglerhood as far as we know just didn’t say anything. they didn’t express concern, they didn’t DO ANYTHING. umm inspired to share bc of another post I havent made many homestuck sims and not much interesting shit has happened but i made gamzee and tavros roommates in their shitty little house and tavros got really into gardening so eventually she got a cow plant and thats sooo cute but literally the first time it got hungry gamzee literally dropped everything he was doing to go outside and get eaten by it . he wasnt even that fucking hungry he was just lifted toqards that fucking cake tongue like a cartoon character to a pie in a window . anyway he got scared of it for obvious reasons but i didnt realise that he needed to be confident while milking it for thw fear to go away so then i had to get other sims to feed it ( i didnt want him to stay scared of it because tavros works and someone needs to look after it while she is out ) . gamzee fucking loves being mean to people so he has so many enemies and i tried like six seperate times to feed them to the cow plant but for some reason not once did it produce milk ? essence ? whatever Not once did it produce anything after and i still dont know why . so i kept starving this fucking plant just so i could invite sims around to feed to it so this dumbass whos only motivation was eating suspicious cake wouldnt get scared by stepping outside ( i guess i couldve moved the cow plant to Not Next To The Front Door but i think its cute and like looking at it so ) and it was not working . i eventually just cheated bc what the fuck man

Dave is a stripper who occasionally does escort work to even out his profits. Dirk is primarily an escort because he really dislikes stripping and is better at one on one interaction. Dave is secretly saving up their money to put into a little fund for Dirk to go to college, because he's extremely smart, but their funds are slowly being siphoned out by Dirk who is using their money to buy pills. It started out as just a casual thing to ease his pain but grew out of control pretty quickly.

Tavros is a commercial airline pilot who is in town every so often, and whenever he is, he pays for Dave's services. He's essentially Dave's only regular client. He comes into town at the beginning of the fic for a bachelorette party for his buddy (it's vriska) that ends up taking place at the strip club that Dave works at (he was previously unaware that Dave worked there). This is when the Catching of Feelings begins. This is also where we're introduced to Gamzee and Karkat, who are drug dealers. (Well, Gamzee is. He just asks Karkat to help him push drugs because he's got a lot of people to get to and not enough hands.) Karkat is immediately interested in Dave and asks for a private dance from him. Dave is too busy and instead pawns Dirk off on him. Eventually Karkat begins buying Dirk's services, but mostly just to have someone to spend time with. They sit and talk and Karkat becomes aware of Dirk's drug habit. He starts to motivate him to make some changes in his life...and also takes an interest in him beyond that.

anyway here's a snippet and a doodle since I explained this pretty poorly.

Honestly, Dave thought he must just be lonely...coming to see him all the time like this. He wondered if there were escorts at his other destinations that counted on his money to stay afloat. He sort of hoped that was the case, because he couldn't handle another guy trying to whisk him away and save him from his unfortunate circumstances.

"Anytime, Tavros. What's got you here so early in the month?" Dave shouts to him from the bathroom, using a soft washrag to clean himself off. No time to shower, he'd have to settle for a quick wipe down.

"A friend of mine lives here and she's getting married so…her bachelorette is tonight. I'll be here for a few days." Tavros walks over to the bathroom and stands there, leaning in the door jam. He makes eye contact with Dave in the mirror. Deep brown eyes blinking at him through his long lashes. He really was handsome...if they didn't know each other the way they did, Dave could see himself taking him on a couple of dates.

"Oh, fun." Dave turns, just finishing up his whore's bath and tossing aside the rag he'd used. He walks up to the man, lays his hands on the wide breadth of Tavros' chest...smiles up at him; lips pulling at one corner of his mouth in his usual, coy way. "Well, you know where t'find me if ya want some more company."

Tavros searches his eyes hungrily, and swallows hard. His wide lips pull into a nervous little line. Dave can see the node in his throat bob up and down with the effort of another deep swallow. He croaks out, "Can i see you tonight?"

Gullible. 

"Tomorrow, baby. I'll be busy later." Dave pushes past him and collects himself, pulling on his black jeans and T-shirt. He pulls on his patchy denim jacket and slides into his high heeled boots.

He's about to leave when Tavros catches his arm, pulling Dave back against his chest, facing away, He cocks his head and dips down so that he can murmur beside Dave's ear.

"Tomorrow then. There's something I uh…wanna try. I'll pay extra."

Dave smiles a little wider, and his eyes drift closed for a moment when he feels the man's lips at the shell of his ear. The apex of his lips ghosting over the outer shape of it. "Ominous…guess ill just have to live in anticipation. See ya big guy."

When he slips out of Tavros' grasp this time, the man lets him go easily. Dave is standing in front of the open door and decides to turn around and give him a little wink before he leaves. The sound of the door shutting behind him a little too loudly feels a bit cruel, but he knows he doesnt have the room in his mind to think about lonesome Tavros. Hes got bigger fish to try...and these ones he doesnt have to fuck.

Ranking All The Sollux Ships In Character Order

Firstly i wanna make it clear that i headcanon sollux as bisexual (fucking obviously) so genders not a factor in any of my reads of the ships

June/Sollux: This one’s really crack-ey. I used to be super fucking into it but now it’s like…only good in theory i guess. 3/10

Rose/Sollux: Pale? Perhaps. Ive seen some good stuff for them pale, it’s pretty interesting to think about, especially considering how similar he is to Dave and how THEY get along together. 4/10 Potential

Dave/Sollux: Like i said, i read sollux and dave as pretty clear character parallels. Dave might get a kick out of verbally T-Bagging him but i think Sollux would quickly get annoyed, perhaps a spur of the moment pitch fling? maybe theyre pitch friends with benefits but only very rarely and sollux cant stand him any other time? All good ideas! 5/10

Jade/Sollux: I could definitely see it! Theyre first meeting has them hitting it off pretty well, I think sollux would really like her, but i dunno if she’d really like him all that much. 5/10

Aradia/Sollux: Timeless, literally. Flavor is immaculate. I prefer them pale FOR SURE, and i always have. Ive never read any of their relationships, chemistry, or conversations as THAT kind of romantic, but i think its super valid for people who do read it that way 12/10

Tavros/Sollux: TavSol is SO UNDERRATED. It’s SO CUTE. Tavros would be comfortable enough to sass Sollux just right and sollux would be taken so off guard by it, he’d find it hilarious, like a baby saying a swear word. They’re fidusspawn buddies, theyre Friend’s with Aradia Buddies, like theyre actually so fucking cute, open your eyes 6/10

Karkat/Sollux: Do i have to talk about this one. Do i have to– Okay so This is Actually The Best Sollux Ship Ever Ya;ll are Wrong About Everything And I Am Right 20000000000000000/10

Nepeta/Sollux: I dont have a lot to say about this one. Does anyone? I dont know a lot about nepeta and i dont have any friends who love her, so i could only guess if she’d actually want to get along with him, or if his personality would be offputting to her. Then again, she canonically had/has a crush on karkat, so maybe sollux’s Ability To Respect Women would make him look appealing. Maybe she’d ask him for advice on how to ask out karkat and hed WANT to give her bad advice because he wants to piss off and embarrass karkat, but nepeta just looks so innocent and genuine in her feelings, he can’t bring himself to do it 5/10

Kanaya/Sollux: Pale, obviously and WOW, top notch. Theyre very very good friends, good moirails, she mothers the hell out of him and he does little errands for her. She taught him how to mend his own clothes so he can do it himself and not depend on her, but they still do it together. Also if you read that one really dumb fic i wrote, i headcanon that they have tea parties even though sollux doesnt like tea 8/10

Terezi/Sollux: Pale again, very VERY cute. Writing this fic was so much fun, i loved how they interact with each other here. And in the comics, he’s so  surprised that she calls him cool like “oh my god she thinks im cool” AndD WHEN HE WENT BLIND SHE WAS THE FIRST PERSON HE WANTED TO TALK TO THATS SO CUTE WHY DONT MORE PEOPLE SHIP THIS 8.5/10

Vriska/Sollux: sound byte of that clip from Weird Al’s “I’ll sue ya” Do i even need a reason?? 0/10

Equius/Sollux: Okay ya know what, THIS IS A GOLDMINE yall are SLEEPING on equisol. My friends cannot get me to stop talking about this, but i dont think ive had the opportunity here to talk about it. Imagine Equius just flat out not believe that sollux is at all capable as a psionic bc he’s so scrawny and wimpy, and even when sollux grinds his teeth into the pavement, it still frustrates him that he could be so much STRONGER if he put the effort into it, “You could be strong in TWO WAYS, sollux” and yeah that does sound appealing to him, but seeing equius get so fucking mad that he’s not ripped but is still able to knock his ass down is so funny it’s almost not attractive. He definitly doesn’t tell people he has a pitch crush on equius, ESPECIALLY NOT KARKAT ARE YOU KIDDING and threatens equius at gun point not to tell anyone because could you image, suave, cool, adorkable, gets all the ladies sollux is in a kismesistude with EQUIUS, GOD. Have ya’ll even read that paradox space comic with the two of them i swe– 9/10

Gamzee/Sollux: That same fic i linked earlier is also a pretty good interaction between them that i like? Sollux just. Cannot stand him. At all, and it’s so funny. Maybe it’s a little, tiny tiny bit pitch, he just wants to strangle him in a way that’s not ENTIRELY platonic cause maybe he’s kind of hot in a deranged  clown way? 5/10

Eridan/Sollux: Wheres the flavor? i dont taste anything, nutmeg, cinnamon, I don’t tast–No but for real, no offense to fellow homestuck old fans, erisol is kind of trash. I ADORE them when theyre beating each other within an inch of their lives. Like, sollux dropping a mall on Eridan as a “warning” and eridan shooting at him in the sky is GOLD. I prefer erisolkat, perhaps when eridan and sollux are stuck alone for way too long and have to “pass the time” somehow, and by pass the time, see how many times i can stab you before you pass out, and karkat has to take the knives away 4/10

Feferi/Sollux: This one is good, an old classic, but @zeldasoft-art made a really fucking funny post about what if they’re only pretending to date each other to piss eridan off and i lost my fucking marbles 8/10

Jane/Sollux: im not even gonna– 0/10

Roxy/Sollux: hacker buddies, tech buddies, computer buddies. Like if rivalry and one-up-manship, typical kismesis behavior had a red/pale counterpart. I feel like they’d have a lot of fun making projects together  and contests but they wouldnt be that mean or violent.

Dirk/Sollux: This is. A little bit of a guilty pleasure for me. This is basically equisol, but dirk is mean to sollux in sollux’s brand of mean, and shares sollux’s sense of humor. Imagine the two of them getting into hard roasting each other, getting more and more mean with insults until Sollux tries to make a move on him and that last insult hurt a little hard so dirk gets a little pouty or misty in the eyes cause you don’t diss a man’s MLP collection dude, those got him through a lot of rough times. The fact that dirk made Hal at all makes him like 50% more attracted to him 8/10

Jake/Sollux: He would love bullying him, so much. I dunno if there’s any romance in it or if he just hates jake in the not fun away and wants to make him cry 3/10

Warning for a long explanation of this au ^^; Hiya!!! I’m a nepeta kinnie looking for my friends!! Im from a nonsburb humanstuck au, where the trolls and beforus/alternia existed thru larp!!! It was something Aranea and Meenah put together, though i think they only wanted to do it so they could smack eachother with foam weapons ^^;; It was kind of a chain reaction of dragging people in, Aranea and Meenah started it, they pulled in Rufioh who got Tavros and Aradia, Aradia got me and Equius, I pulled Karkitty in, He pulled all the kids (Dave John Rose Jade Jake Dirk Roxy and Jane) with him somehow, and after that the order gets kind of jumbly. I think Gamzee and Mituna were the last ones to join. But the larp became this HUGE thing that I don’t think Meenah and Aranea were really expecting? But it was between all the beta/alpha trolls and kids (though again, humanstuck). I remember working like, super duper hard on my character, and even helping Equhiss with his!! I think me and Terezi were super close, and met thru the game!! Our characters were enemies, but when we werent playing we would plot out what our characters would do next game. Vriska got kicked out even tho her sister was the gm, I think bc she actually started fighting with a real weapon o.o I was dating Feferi and Roxy! I started dating Roxy first, and I think Feferi like kinda had a crush on both of us but didn’t realize Polyamory is a Thing, so when I started talkin about the possibility of bringing a third person into Rox and I’s relationship she like, immediately wholeheartedly volunteered to be with us. I remember my larp character was Very Aromantic, but Roxy’s character Constantly flirted with mine. Oh, and nepeta leijon was my character name!! I don’t really remember my real one yet, but im preeeetty sure it started with a v. Possibly something like Valeria? Or it might have been a flower name idk aa I was pretty short, somewhere between 5′ and 5′5. I had briiight red hair, like almost orange naturally. Freckles covered my face!! I had a very pale skintone, and usually had bandages on my arms or legs bc i roughhoused too much. I was very confused about my gender for a long time, but i think i settled on nonbinary. I used all pronouns tho!! I remember i wore these white cat ears Equhiss gave me like every day to school. I was also Definitely a part of an online warrior cats roleplay group and im pretty sure Roxy was in it too. Thats like all the mems I have other than like, specific events. Please note that i am twenty, and am only comfy talking to folks 15-30. ahhh we all knew, we all knew... even i knew. i just like givin myself (and fos) a hard time, give the audience a funnie heehee hahaaa. i should've known when my faves back in 2013 consisted of gamzee- the circus will always find its way back into my city.

it was a gradual thing like "oh yeah, he was suggested/assigned to me so ill check him out" and it devolved into me liveblogging his damn route in the server like 'what the fuck is this bullshit?' and then turned into 'im gonna look up voice hcs' n proceeded to embarrass/fluster myself.

01 - Talk about the first ship you ever had

That’s a bit hard to pick because I was honestly shipping stuff before I even understood what shipping was - like I remember being a literal child and watching Digimon 4 and being extremely upset when Izumi ended up with Takuya instead of Koji lol. So it’s hard figuring out what the first shop was.

I can say, though, that the first ship I was, like, consciously into, that I started reading/writing fic for and that got me into fandom was Ron/Hermione. It’s still a ship that means a lot to me today, and still, imo, one of the best straight canon pairings of any series, ever. It was super formative to me, it helped me make friends and develop my writing, and to this day I can see traces of R/Hr in the dynamics I enjoy. It’s the Ultimate Good Ship, to me.

2 - Talk about three of the most important ships throughout your life.

Well, first one was Ron/Hermione, easy. Then… As I grew up I got into anime fandons and I fell in love with One Piece and specifically with the idea of Zoro/Robin - they were my favorite characters (especially Zoro, who remains on my Hall of All-Time Faves to this day) and they had this interesting tension that immediately sparked my interest. It was a small ship, but in the brazilian fandom I wrote A LOT for them, often along with a girl who was one of my closest fandom friends at the time. It was AWESOME, we used to talk about them for hours, and my writing also developed a lot. One Piece as a whole meant a lot to me at the time, and shipping Zorobin allowed me to channel all that love into creative energy. It was great.

Then time passed and I got into Glee (lol rio past me) and I was obsessed with Kurt Hummel as a character, so for a while I basically read every Kurt/Original Male Character fic I could get my hands on - the hiatus between s1 and S2, when all we knew about season 2 was that Kurt Would Get a Boyfriend, was probably my greatest time in the Glee fandom. Of course, everything went downhill when Kurt’s Actual Boyfriend was introduced and he turned out to be The Most Annoying Character In The History of Everything (to this day, Blaine remains on my Hall of Hated Characters). Then I was stuck in Glee fandom hell, and I read a lot of Kurtofsky, Kurt/Sam, even Puckurt sometimes. It was my way of surviving lol I also discovered Brittana at the time, and while I wouldn’t count as one of my biggest ships because I never Suffered for them, they were pretty formative in that they were my first ever canon gay ship. Plus, in the context of the terrible writing Glee always had, their chemistry really created something magical, especially in the beggining. Landslide still gives me chills, and Santana’s confession is still maybe one the most beautiful love confessions I’ve ever seen in television.

05 - Do you have any poly ships?

Nope. I’m a monogamist in every way lol Never got the hang of ot3s.

12 - Have you ever been disappointed when your ship finally got together?

I mean, everything about the development of Brittana sucked on the season following Santana’s confession but I can’t really say I was DISAPPOINTED because at this point I was stuck in the toxic position of hating everything that happened in the show, so I didn’t care anymore. Besides Brittana… I mean, most of my ships never got together lol The few who did, like R/Hr, lived to my expectations nicely. So I guess no.

18 - Talk about a moment which made you question an entire ship.

Ok so… During my Homestuck phase (yeah I had GOOD TASTE for fandons cnejjseiwiiewj fml) I was super into Gamzee/Tavros and… I mean, if you’ve read Homestuck you know Hussie pretty much discarded Gamzee as a tridimensional character post-Murderstuck, and Tavros’ role in the story was limited to his relationship with Vriska (who I hated with A PASSION). So I did have a lot of moments where I was like “why the hell do I still ship this”, because it was as if canon was constantly mocking me for even trying to take these characters seriously anymore (again, if you’ve read Homestuck, you know that’s not an exaggeration). Ultimately fanon contend was enough to keep me shipping it, though, until I just dropped the comic altogether.

20 - Talk about a ship you feel alone in shipping.

I don’t think there’s one. There are ships I wished there was more contend for (like Kallo/Gil from mea) but I don’t think I ever felt alone shipping something. I don’t ship many rarepairs.

21 - Is there a ship you just don’t get, but have nothing against?

Hmm Idk… Usually when I don’t have anything against a ship I can at least grasp why people ship it (St*cky, for example). If I really really DON’T GET IT, I’m probably gonna have some negative feelings about it (like St*rkqu*ll or W*nterIr*n). So, the answer is no, I guess.

26 - Have you noticed a pattern in your shipping? Is there a romantic dynamic you’re more drawn to?

Like I said, I can see traces of R/Hr in a lot of my other ships lol I enjoy Tension and Bickering and conflict that arrises from bad communication/poor handling of emotional issues. I like visual contrast a lot (it’s ridiculous, but the quickest way to turn me off a stony fic/art is Tony having blue eyes. It’s one of the reasons I’m not very drawn to 616 stony lol I just like smol Tony with brown eyes more. Like I said, it’s ridiculous). I also like when characters are opposites on the surface but actually share important/crucial similarities in essence.

Finally, I pretty much only ship stuff when I’m able to give a shit about both characters involved. I need to be able to care about both characters in some level, outside of their ship dynamic, so I tend to ship characters that have similar levels of development. Usually I have a preference (Steve over Tony, Tavros’ over Gamzee, Ron over Hermione, etc), but I need to like both characters to see them in equal footing. Otherwise it’s just not that appealing to me.

(I’m gonna make the fic recs in a separate post, ok? Bc this is already too long and also, bc I need to ask of which fandom you’d like. I mostly only read mcu stuff lately lol is that ok?)

39 - Is there a fictional relationship you'd want for yourself?

I guess in some level, I'd want a relationship like Ron and Hermione's, preferably without seven years of pining and misunderstandings lol But as a rule I don't necessarily look for relationships I'd want to ship - I just look for dynamics that touch me.

1. What OTPs in your fandom(s) do you just not get? In BNHA? bakudeku. i don’t think it makes sense as a popular ship in the -manner- it is portrayed. I like it in a certain way! it’s just…. it’s one of those things where it’s like ‘you guys arent responsible enough to have this’umm…. im guessing this is more focused on popular pairings. hm. Shigadabi is like that for me too, on both ends. And Endmight. Todo/Inasa. There’s a few ships in BNHA that make me feel this way tbqh.
