time to share m o r e things because I do suppose you guys who like this AU would like to know: - Lace do be here, and she does of course come here from Pharloom when Hornet (most likely) leads all these weavers to Hallownest. Lace doesn’t really know what to do with her life so she just spends her time casually doing whatever Lace does. She meets the void siblings and chaos ensues. not really though its more like they are curious of her and she too is curious of them. - Perhaps other characters from Pharloom come here too? All I’m thinking of rn is Lace just being here. Idk.  - Hornet occasionally helps Quirrel out in the archives, and when Ghost is not wandering around with Grimmchild, they help too. Ghost honestly does whatever the hell they want and goes wherever they want to go. You go lil buddy.  - Whenever Hornet basically gets kidnapped mostly everyone is goddamn pissed off. Ghost may be losing their shit but trying to keep cool, Hollow is just silently an g r y--- yeah. PK gets mad too because he does not like hearing her name, because it just makes him think of if he could of saved her from being kidnapped.  But it’s a good thing when she comes back since she gets tackle hugged by her siblings. PK is somewhat hesitant, but he just-- gives her a nice hug. Yes, a nice one. He’s trying to dad. But he is of course relieved to see her. - Radi and probably Hollow have seen each other, and Hollow just stares at her and shes doing a big “wtf.” because this is the poor child she tortured. Radi says no and she gets the hell out of there, leaving a surprised and confused Hollow I suppose. They’re just wondering why tf is this moth bitch here and if shes actually the Radiance- which she is. I don’t want her to be an outright bad character but shes mostly not the happiest all the time, Ghost and Grimmchild just sorta ‘mess’ with her often. They’re just trying to hang out with you smh. - PK is often carried by WL because she wants to and hasn’t seen him in such a while, and he lets her. Either way no matter how.. somewhat embarrassing it is- he loves it. - On the topic of them, everyone is surprised when they just have another kid.. thats.. of course- not void. PK is afraid that his vessel children will not take it the best, but he is proven wrong as Hollow actively wants to see their new little sister and be a good big sibling. Ghost on the other hand is a bit distant, but of course they and Grimmchild come around and Grimmchild, for the most part, comes and plays with her. In the future, Grimmchild may become a good babysitter lmao. This is all imma share for now I hope yall done mind these constant posts about my silly lil AU heh.

Kind of a random question, but inspired by that fanart where Ghost Hollow Knight has a house- how d'you think the siblings might furnish their homes individually vs. if they were sharing a house?

well, they’re all kind of independent messes, so on their own, their houses would be a little...rough.

ghost’s would be best in terms of comfort. soft-ish thing for a bed (though they’d honestly still probably still sit up snoozing, so a large cushion or something?), probably a few shelves to store random things they don’t use much (unhelpful charms, surplus map pins) and definitely geo containers because they’re sick of losing stuff to their shade and they’re too organized to want to just leave them in piles on the floor (even if they’d think about it sometimes). 

hornet’s would just be a ton of spiderwebs on the inside. lots of webbing and sharp traps in those webbings, and then she has a little nook hidden deep inside that she sleeps in sometimes and has food wrapped up in. she probably wouldn’t stay there very much, tbh. she has everything she needs on her person and staying in one place alone all the time would unsettle her, even if it was up in dirtmouth, where nobody is really dangerous (as far as she knows).

hollow. hollow......assuming this is post-canon good-ish-end au, they’d need a huge soft nest of some sort to lie down and heal on, but otherwise they’d just. whatever. they wouldn’t ask for things and it’d be ages before they tried to get anything.

all together...they’d probably have a pretty large house, first of all! gotta fit all of hollow in it next to others. i think they’d try for having their own bedrooms each, but they’d almost never all use them at the same time. hornet and ghost get used to watching over hollow as they get better, and tbqh hollow gets used to being watched over, so they’re all most used to curling up in hollow’s room.

hornet would still web parts of the house for traps, but way less. she’s got two sibs to account for possibly running into ‘em. her room would still have plenty and ghost would get caught up in it several times before they learn, which does not stop hornet b/c it happens when they’re crystal dashing in the fuckin house which is troublesome. she’d still leave sometimes to patrol and just have breaks away from people, but she’d be back within a day or two. there’d be more supplies hidden in that room as a result, and eventually little tunnels in the web where at least little ghost can sneak through. tiny bits of furniture like chairs or boxes. not a ton.

ghost’s room would be the same as their house above, but they’d use it much less and it’d be more of a storage room and a place to decompress sometimes. actually, it’d mostly end up being grimmchild’s room probably :V and they’re too baby to have much opinion over the furnishings, other than having something to hang upside-down off of eventually.

hollow would still have their huge nest in a bigger room, and they’d have even more blankets and stuff to shield them from their siblings when ghost started sitting in the nest instead of beside it. there is a little stool there tho for ghost or for hornet, who does usually stick to sitting on it except for very late at night, and their room would specifically be adorned with a few lumafly lights hornet would steal straight from the street lamps. the dark is sometimes comforting, but pale light something like the white palace’s is better. still not a lot of stuff, but they’d be able to pick their blankets and eventually graduate to a hammock big enough for all three to rest in. 

the house itself would have a rarely-used kitchen (the vessels can eat but don’t need to and don’t think about it much, hornet prefers fresh hunts) stocked with mostly stuff that the people of dirtmouth give them, and an open living room area that would probably also not be used overmuch, though there’d be seats for each of them, and hollow would use them a lot to just chill on and look outside.

a little shrine in the corner created by both hornet and hollow for all that was lost, which little ghost would respect and give offerings to but not help with. and i can see collections of weapons ending up hanging on their walls somehow, though i can’t imagine exactly whose decision that would be, and it wouldn’t be until hollow was strong enough there’d be little worry about them tripping or bumping into ‘em.

definitely fresh journals around. ghost would get into writing a lot and would do their best to coax hollow into joining them. mental and physical limitations would make this unlikely to happen for a long time, but ghost would keep offering anyway. hornet would have her own silk creations strewn around, once she’s comfortable enough to try to get into creating for creation and tradition’s sake instead of purely survival mode.

                           BIOGRAPHICALLY SPEAKING…

growing up he was exposed to;

Matthew Cornelius Morris Junior was born into conditions that would leave him riddled with anxiety and fear that the people closest to him would eventually leave him. His parents were what he calls a match made in hell, his father who he was named after, went to prison for armed robbery when the twins were 3 leaving them in the care of their irresponsible unstable, drug addled mother. Luckily for the twins, she had just enough smarts to drop them off with real adults before gunning it away her children, unfortunately the damage was already done. the twins despite being under proper caregiving now were crying nonstop, but unlike normal kids who would probably have colic- the kids were going through withdrawal from meth. Matt “sobering” transition went a lot smoother then his younger brother’s, watching Eli have to go in and out of hospitals because of heart condition due to the meth- made Matt upset and helpless that he couldn’t do much for his bro. Other than that though, the twins lived a relatively normal life, playing sports, being able to do normal boy stuff.

It was in 8th grade when they were granted back into the care of their mother, Matt felt uneasy the whole time- kind of waiting for the other shoe to drop. His mother slowly gained back his trust though and he was back to being the good little boy, until one day they came home from school and saw their mother on the floor. Matt had to perform CPR as he instructed Eli to call 911. Doing all he could do for his mom before the ambulance got there, the boys ran out of the house and hid away at a friend’s house to avoid having to see their mother carted away. It was then that the relationship between mother and son would never be fixed.

Overall- Matt grew up pretty happy, outside of his parents being the most unreliable people on the planet, he had his aunt, his uncle, and his grandparents who adore him because they don’t know he’s demisexual.

all about the family & their relationships;

Eli is Matt’s twin brother, their relationship is pretty solid. Womb to Tomb for real for real. No one is a bigger supporter for them then themselves, from sports when they were young to their career choices now. They do fight and bicker like sibs do, but overall they know they would always have each other’s back and that’s love dude.

Eevee is Matt’s wife, a marriage that Matt feels like benefited him more than her and he does his best to make it up to her. Matt believes Eevee could do way better than him and is just waiting for the day she asks for annulment because she met the right person for her. He is immensely proud of her and her career, he thinks she is the most adorable human ever and supports the hell out of her. Despite being technically single- he would rather show up to her place with a bottle wine and a dvd from the 5 dollar bin to spend the evening with his wife. He has never confessed that he might have real feelings for her because he is scared and values their friendship.

Auntie Jessica - raised them and Matt sees them more as a mother and father than his actual mother. she took care of them and he wants to do the same for her one day, he tries to give her money but she always rejects it.

Grandma & Grandpa - homophobic pricks that matt has mixed feelings about. they treat him very kindly because they don’t know about his sexual orientation but matt likes the idea of inheriting all their crap and giving half to bi as hell bro. suck pop pop and meemaw

his occupational perspective;

Matt loves what he does, he does sometimes take it personally though. Working with people in recovery could be messy because people fall of the wagon a lot and it’s like a reminder of his mother. Matt has a big hero complex, which can be a good or bad thing in a doctor but he chooses to see it as a good thing. He is dedicated to his craft. He won’t let his patients slip and fall like his mother did.
