AOtGO – Aftermath

Ch 20

“Grandpa-sensei!” Mikey called frantically, skidding to a halt in front of the ninja master and causing a ridge to form in the rug before him.

Splinter opened a single eye to gaze up at Michelangelo as his remaining sons filtered into the room behind him, obviously confused. “What is it, Michelangelo?” he asked, opening his other eye and canting a curious eyebrow.

“The Battle Nexus!” Mikey panted excitedly. He bounced from one leg to the other frantically. “You know how to get there, right? Because the Daimyo can definitely get me home and he can totally help you find your Mikey!”

For a moment Splinter just gazed at him. “What is the... Battle Nexus?” he finally asked, carefully sounding out the name.

“It's only the biggest interdimensional martial arts tournament in existence,” Mikey gasped indignantly, “and yours truly is the current champion!”

There was stunned silence all around. Then, “You?” Raphael laughed. “The champion of a martial arts tournament?”

Hurt, Mikey turned to look at Raph as if just realising the others had followed him to the dojo. “Yes, moi!”

“Really?” Raph snorted caustically, smirking and shaking his head in disbelief. “Is that some story you made up to try to impress us? Because there's no way you could beat me, even an other-dimensional me. You couldn't even beat Lame-o-nardo, for that matter!”

Mikey frowned, not liking what he was hearing and barely keeping his frown from turning into a scowl. Oh, how he could hardly wait to show them what he was really capable of. Except... he wouldn't be here that long. He deliberately turned his shell on Raph to face Splinter eagerly. All he had to do was convince him that the secret was okay to share.

Start appending date constraints to your searches - "before:2023".

My results have gone from 90% AI bullshit to ~60% usable - which frankly at this point is a huge improvement.
