Let's say Harry is aware that he is REALLY loaded. He knows how rich the Potter family is, and how Sirius gave him money from a separate vault as well (Not to mention him also possibly inheriting the Black fortune). Imagine him, Ron, and Hermoine wandering around Hogsmeade and the two found things that they really like.

Ron saw a chess set that is made of old wood while Hermoine's is a set of limited edition books of spells etc. They stared at it for so long but they knew that they couldn't afford it so they just walk away to look at some other stuff.

But Harry noticed the longing looks thrown at those things and just casually shrugged his shoulders. Well, he hadn't bought anything for his friends yet for their birthdays so...

When they got back to Hogwarts, imagine the shocked look on Ron's and Hermoine's faces as they stared at what Harry bought for their birthdays.

"Mate," Ron choked, "this is NOT what I was staring at." It really isn't because this chess set is made of old wood and GOLD. Harry just shrugged and smiled at Ron.

"Well, its for your birthdays!"

"Harry, this is not just for a birthday. This could be for the rest of our birthdays! Do you know how much this set costs?!" Hermoine shouted, disbelief still written in her face as she holds a set of HARDBOUND books with gold accentuating its cover.

James sat in the coffee shop, a book in hand and an iced coffee slowly melting onto the wooden table in front of him. Immersed in his reading, he felt a strange sensation run down his spine, prompting him to look up. Across from him sat a cute guy, with his head cocked, peering at the book James held.

James smiled and lifted the book slightly, offering him a better view of the title. Flustered, the guy smiled back silently, mouthing a “thank you”, to which James responded with a bright smile before returning to his book.

After two long minutes of attempting to read, James found himself unable to comprehend the words in front of him, his mind still occupied by thoughts of the cute guy.

With a sigh, he closed his book and searched through his bag for a pen and paper. Scrawling his name and number, James gathered his bag and coffee and approached the guy, sliding the paper across the table.

Grey eyes met his in confusion.

“In case you want some more book recommendations,” James said, offering a wink. The guy chuckled and accepted the paper. James extended his hand, which the other guy took.

“I'm James”

“Regulus”

Regulus.

“Well Regulus, hope i’ll hear from you”

And with a small smile on his lips, he said goodbye and left the coffee shop, his mind buzzing with thoughts of Regulus.

Not much later, his phone buzzed on his pocket.
