i actually love this show so much !!! like it obviously fails in some stuff (the mrs dodds scene, the fates, gabe's characterization, some of the dialogue is kinda forced) but it was clearly adapted in a way that makes me at 23 feel the exact same way i did when i was reading the books at 12

okok one more thing i need to geek out about, is that combination of similar fairy tales. jack being both of the beanstalk and the one that jumps over the candlestick. red riding hood somehow becoming the wolf that also blows houses down. and not only that but the crossover of fairy tales in backstories, like the snow queen attacking greenleigh and cinderella's stepmother being pinnochio's as well (i wonder if her connection to cinderella, who becomes a princess, has anything to do with her wanting to protect rosamund?) aaaa i just love this take on the tales so much i'm having so much fun already
